That is proper service and shows their commitment to making things right morally and physically for one's property

We had grease and all sorts of crap pump up into our kitchen sink in our condo. We called CityWide Plumbing for an emergency visit. Ricky H. arrived, took notes on what was going on, explained the steps, and fixed the issue.

Ricky H. was friendly, courteous, and frankly extremely knowledgeable with plumbing. If I ever run into any plumbing issues, I'm calling CityWide Plumbing and hope we get Ricky again!

STAY AWAY, these guys are scammers with a slick website. I recently had my apartment renovated and as part of that renovation, I planned to install a garbage disposal. The electric plans places an isolated / switched plug below the plumbers plumbed the waste pipes to be able to handle the unit. I was away on a business trip when the original plumbers did the work, and I guess they forgot. When I came back I did not think to check it was installed, and ended up signing off for the work. Now I had the unit and everything was ready to install, so I just needed a plumber to install it, so I searched Google and not only found Citywide, they had a dedicated webpage talking about how they install Garbage disposals. I called, was quoted an hourly rate of like $240 and was told it should take no more than an hour and they were able to give me an appointment for within the week.

On the day of the appointment the guy arrived ontime, however instead of going to the front desk to be sent up, he called me. When I answered he INSISTED that I come down to meet him in the lobby, rather then having the door man send him up. Strange, but I did it.

When I got downstairs, I met a man, dressed in normal street clothes and he had no tools or bag / box where tools could be. After greeting him, he started speaking VERY loud in the lobby saying things like 'DOES THE BUILDING KNOW YOU ARE INSTALLING A DISPOSAL', to which I calmly answered yes, he continued, almost yelling 'DOES THE BUILDING KNOW YOU ARE BRINING IN A PLUMBER' to which I again calmly said yes.

Once in the elevator I asked the man where his tools and truck were. he answered me I first need to see the work before I know what tools I need.

We got into the apartment, I showed him the unit, which the electrician had prewired with a plug lead, and the sink. He opened the sink cabinet doors, which exposed the piping and immediately said he could not do it as the piping was not ok. I asked him what he meant, and he made up something about pitch and then he took out his phone and handed it to me to sign.

I asked him what I was signing and he said he had to charge me for the hour to come and look. I asked him to wait and called my renovation plumber who said the stack is fine and can accept the disposal. I informed him what I was told and he said that was nonsense. I tried to get the guy from citywide to do the work and he refused, pushing me to sign the screen of his phone so I can be charged. I refused and kicked him out of the apartment.

After he left, I told my super, who said 'we can do that for you'. In an hour he sent up the building handyman who installed it with 4 tools and some 'plumbers putty'. When I told my handyman about the above story, he said thats crazy and its a pretty simple piece of work. He thought it was clear this guy did not want to work as the tools needed are pretty basic and are the core of any toolbox a plumber should carry.

End of the day, they charged my card and I disputed it. STAY AWAY

scammers billed my daughter for work not done,how do i know because i was there when he was doing the work .made phone call waited for return call from manager.Called second time they had no record of complaint man on phone would only give First name and refused to put me threw to a manager and said take it up with your Management company and hung up.
Told him never did use shop vac to empty sink or flushed line under pressure and removed grease all untrue .there are a lot of seniors and wondering how many where charged for same service.i will be asking for a FOIL request on this type of repairs done at this co-op location to see how many have been done wrong by City Wide.I will be informing all RailRoad unions about City Wide Plumbing

Gary did a professional and wonderful job and they absolutely do arrive quickly which I truly appreciate. Unfortunately, the follow up Technician had me pay cash, provided varying estimates again and again for a sleeve and then spoke down to my wife and I when we told him we need to discuss the quote. Unprofessional and out of line. I just called their office for footage of the camera scope
He did as well as a receipt for what I paid him today and neither was provided. Would very much like to speak to someone about this experience.

they charge piece meal and $225 an hour. So if you get a slow plumber it will cost you more. You're better off working with a local plumbing company that will price a job. Never again.

Had an issue with drain pipe breaking and water leaking everywhere. Called- received call back with an appt Available so I booked it. Day later Derrick showed up to completely fix the issue and offer guidance on what to look out for if other issues with plumbing arise.
Cannot speak anymore highly of the professionalism that he showed during the repair job,the work done and clean up after. I would highly recommend him for any drain or pipe issues.

On their third visit they removed scale from the waste pipe on the downstairs toilet. So far so good for 2 weeks. On the first 2 visits they cleared roots that had grown in waste line from a nearby bush and used an auger from both the toilet and from the trap but both times they were back for a repeat.

I had main sewage line in house snaked out by another plumber I got from Angi (Angi's list) within 3 weeks it backed up. Those plumbers didn't guarantee their work. They are responsive and will be there as soon as possible! They are a few dollars more than other companies but they will save you money down the line because they are an honest company! When I called to get pricing the man on the phone said it's an additional $450 to locate the cesspool but I can go to the city and get the blueprints to locate it.

So I did, but when Jason Legwillo came to our house he had trouble finding it (blueprints were 70 years old and illegible) he said the first 30 minutes to look for the cesspool are free and he tried very hard to find it. He did find it within the 30 minutes to help me. He was kind, professional and put the grass back as if no one dogged it up.

I highly recommend this company they are the only ones I had a positive experience with!!!! Thank you Jason and citywide.

Unfortunately, we have had to use them several times. A couple times in a rental, and a few times at our new house. If you are ankle deep in stuff you don't want to be standing in, they will be there in a hurry day or night. They found the cesspools in our rental and cleaned out some pretty old and gross drains. They found the cesspool in our new house without needing a back hoe and helped fix a leaky toilet without charging me. They snaked our sewer pipe and came back again at no charge when it clogged again. We have had plumbing drama and they have fixed us right up. They always answer the phone and send someone out within the hour or a few hours. They are friendly and professional. I just wish they were cheaper since we have had to call them so often, but I'm paying for a professional service. I think it's the amateurs that got us in trouble to begin with.

They come late, they charge you for labor and parts, way too expensive, they call their workers technicians , not a plumber , two hours to put a kitchen faucet in , one hour just to remove the faucet, My Late husband was a master plumbing and we were in buisness 33 years in Manhattan , if we had a plumber who took 2 hours to put in a simple kitchen faucet , he would not be working for us , my super would have done it in less time , but I was aware that he was making the job go slower on purpose, to get the two hours of labor in , almost $500 to install a kitchen faucet, is just too high.

We contacted this company to fix a water issue we were having. We were told that someone would come between 10 am and 12 pm. After repeated phone calls to the company, and being told that someone was on the way, a plumber finally showed up at 7 pm. We informed the company that a curb box key would be needed, and the plumber showed up without one. He gave us an estimate that was double what we actually got the job done for. I do not recommend this company.

Our toilet clogged and overflowed in the middle of a weekday. Really messy and gross. The plumber i called couldn't come because they were already booked for the day. They referred me to City Wide. City Wide was able to send a plumber within an hour (!) who snaked the toilet and got things flowing again. Price was reasonable and the person they sent was knowledgeable and courteous. By 5 O'clock I had everything cleaned up (their cleanup crews would charge extra). City Wides prompt response and professional handling of my emergency saved the day.

My kitchen sink was clogged and when I called Citywide, they were going to send a technician the next morning. When Kelvin came to the house, he immediately diagnosed the problem and explained in detail what he was going to do. He was very professional and courteous. When the work was completed, Kelvin double checked to make certain that all was working. What I found amazing was Kelvin really took pride in his work and in my opinion, represented the company in an excellent fashion. I definitely would use this company again.

I was looking for plumber to do a shower valve replacement in my bathroom a few months ago and Citywide was one of the companies I was in touch with for a quote. Unfortunately, I didn't get a good impression of this company from speaking with them.

The main issue I had was that I got mixed messages about whether they would come out to do a free estimate for a job. I spoke with a rep who gave me an appointment for a quote. I specifically asked this guy if the estimate was free and he confirmed it would be. I wouldn't have scheduled one if it wasn't.

The day of my appointment, I got another call from a different guy who told me that there would be a $100 charge for an estimate. I let him know that I was told it was a free estimate and he said no, there is a charge, etc... I let him know to cancel the appointment then and he got a bit aggressive, talking about how once they do the estimate, his rates are guaranteed to be lowest in the area, etc... I didn't find this to be very convincing at all.

Maybe it was just a bad day for them but I definitely wouldn't recommend Citywide from the experience I had.

*Edit* - I initially posted my review as one star, but I got a message from a Chris from Citywide after I posted my review. He apologized for my bad experience and seemed to make an effort to rectify my experience. I think I remember speaking with Chris when I was in contact with Citywide (he might've been the first guy that I mentioned above) and he was pleasant and professional when I spoke with him. I think it's a big deal when you leave a negative review and the business demonstrates a humble attitude and makes an effort to make things better. He didn't ask me to change my review or anything, but I think that effort alone is worth another star, so I upgraded my rating to 2 stars. - *Edit finished*

These guys were great they showed up on time and were very helpful and knowledgeable about what they were doing.

They did a camera inspection of the sewer line which turned out was partially blocked so then they quickly ran a snake through a couple of tomes and then did a second inspection after the line was cleared.

My only complaint was they were not very forthcoming about telling me the additional cost to snake the sewer line which ended up being double what I had originally planned for the camera inspection.

To be fair I should've asked but still if you're expecting something to be $395 and then you get an invoice for $885 that's not cool - see attached In case you need to do some price comparison's

I had an overflowing clogged toilet situation. I tried everything to unclog it myself, even snaking it. Called CityWide in the morning and they sent someone in the afternoon around my availability. Brian showed up exactly on time with a really friendly attitude. Brian provided me with prices prior to performing any work and assured me if it didn't fix the issue i wouldn't be charged. He even was very friendly and made conversation with my two little boys. I would highly recommend CityWide Plumbing after my experience. Fair prices, prompt service and they fixed the clog.

My main line was clogged recently and a plumber recommended to replace the sewer line. He cannot do it right away and provided me with a very high price quote. I checked online and saw Citywide offers trenchless sewer line repair & replacement and they can do it right away. Did not know they are one of the biggest plumbing contractor companies on Long Island and NYC. They were able to replace the sewer line quickly at a reasonable cost. Thank you!

Their entire organization is absolutely first class. Was left in a terrible situation with a backed up toilet and on top of that the landlord refused to honor their legal obligation to fix it. What was I going to do??? Long story short Anthony LiBasso was the direct conduit to getting me out of this beyond stressful reality. He sent me a straight forward estimate with full description of what was going to be delivered. I also mentioned to Anthony that I was a senior citizen living in a non-doorman building was was very concerned about who would be coming to do the work. Two truly professional technicians came within 24 hours and took care of replacing the toilet. They could have charged me another $500 for the diagnosis done by another plumber who recommended by a dear friend. I discovered that the snaking was never done. Net: they saved me an additional $500 as whatever blockage existed was longer was present and they installed a new toilet (was included in their estimate) and my life changed. The main technician was Anton and his young assistant was Andrew were impeccable in presence, manner, skill and Honesty. Additionally, they left the area spotless (the building was constructed in 1908....the throne was not much more recent that) . Hearing the many flushes before they left (and since) was second best to listening to a Puccini opera!!! Thanks to Anthony, Anton and Andrew and all those who took the time to review the company and made my life great deal easier.

I previously used CityWide when my cesspool needed to be pumped and they were terrific. So when I had plumbing issues that needed attention I called them. They arrived within an hour of my call and performed several jobs expertly.

As a small business restaurant owner that has managed to keep my doors open and team employed for the last 12 months, every day of business is critical to me. Trusting Citywide cost me a full day of business.

A gas leak in the apartment building above our store resulted in our gas being turned off. A plumber is required to turn it back on.

We called citywide at 2pm on Monday and they said would send someone out within the hour. We called at 3pm they said someone would be there in 15 minutes. We called at 345 and I was told that the job had been referred to BMT, they would call BMT to see whats going on and get back to us. No one did.

We called at 430 and I spoke to Hector who then told me very dismissively that no one was coming, that I should google another business and he had no more information for me.

I told him that we'd been waiting all afternoon and now are at close of business and asked why didn't anyone communicate with us earlier so we could find someone else. His response was 'I don't know, i have no information, I don't know who told you what but we don't have anyone and no one is coming'.

I asked to speak to a manager, and about 45 minutes later Chris called me back. He apologized profusely, said they had dropped the ball and someone should have told us that they refer this type of business to a company called BMT when we first called and he did not know why no one called us to follow up and he would reach out to them and get back to me. Never heard back.

I called this morning at 715am and spoke to Anthony who said he sees all the notes on our account and would make sure they fix this, make it right and get someone on it right away. He said he understood the urgency and would call back in 30 minutes. I never heard back.

I called again at 945 and asked to speak to Anthony. The person who answered the phone said she would look into whats going on and call me back in 15 minutes. She never did.

I called back again at 1030am, and spoke to Robert, the General Manager. He told me to get the yellow pages out because Citywide doesn't do this type of work and that they had referred us to BMT the day before, which wasn't true. He also said BMT called and spoke to someone and we had been rude to them on the phone. Also not true.

Robert was rude, dismissive and apparently felt if he talked louder, interrupted me and ran down his credentials of how long he had been a plumber, it would explain away the lack of honest communication from Citywide over numerous phone calls.

While Anthony and Chris were both very polite and said they would help, they never followed up. And Robert and Hector were so rude and dismissive of the problem that Citywide created for us, that it supersedes all else.

A business should not treat its customers this way. Citywide should have been honest and let us know that they don't do gas work and referred us to someone else immediately when we first called. Will never work with them again.

Our waste pipe in our house cracked and leaked into our basement. I called Citywide and they answered their phone immediately and came fairly quickly even though it was after hours . Bobby was great and drained the sewage line to clear a clogged pipe. We wanted to get the cracked pipe fixed right away but this happened on a Friday. Over the weekend they sent us an estimate and when we called this morning( Monday), they said they could send someone over today to fix the pipe. Brandon was terrific. He did a fantastic job of replacing this huge waste pipe and worked hard. Both Brandon and Bobby were very professional and courteous. It is wonderful that this company acted so quickly and was so helpful.

This is not the first time I have had a plumbing emergency in the middle of the night but it is also not the first time that citywide has come to my rescue.
They sent one of their men to the house right away (within the hour). The gentleman showed up wearing a mask, keeping a six foot distance and ready to work. Within 15 minutes, he had solved our issues.
I highly recommend this business for any plumbing and sewer issues.

Called them to fix leak in water heater. Fixed it and noticed 5 days later the pressure of our water when running the laundry machine simultaneously our faucets and shower just drip. Called them back to let them no of this problem they caused when they fixed water heater. They said we waited to long to call. Apparently 5-6 days is a long time to them. They don't warranty there work at all and a week is a long time to wait to call them back. Now they require 200 bucks just so they can come back. You guys are frauds and the work experience your employees have suck. Shame on you. Do not use them. They will rip you off and over charge you then NOT even stand by their work. Do yourself a favor and call anyone else. You'll thank me for this!

If it wasn't for Citywide I would of been ripped off by two other cesspool companies saying I needed to replace my tank. Citywide came in and saved the day. The one tank was the Ocer flow and I one serviced the main tank in who know how long. Past owner put a driveway over it! Citywide came in and found it and gave me access 10 years ago and all has been good since!

Despite my initial disappointment, CityWide turned things around after I posted my prior review. I heard from Chris, the manager, who promptly arranged to send a technician. The technician, Peter, arrived on time and was a real professional, letting me know what needed to be done and why and, just as important, what didn't need to be done. He was transparent about pricing (which I found reasonable), did a careful and thorough job, and left the job site clean when he was finished. He also give some good advice on how to keep the drains clear going forward. I'm glad that things worked out in the end, and I wouldn't hesitate to call this company again.

I experienced what appears to be a consistent pattern in many other reviews when an unexpected problem occurs with your service -- Chris is seemingly contrite and professional while Robert is deplorable and insufferable. I guess they have a whole good cop bad cop thing going...

The reason it's important to be cognizant of hiring tradesmen who respond negatively when something goes wrong is it's a power play. When you pay a plumber to do work for you it's often difficult to have recourse if they do a poor job especially since plumbing work is usually urgent in nature and they know it so they can wait you out and you'll be forced to pay someone else because what can you do? This is why I would highly advise anyone to beware of all the glowing reviews for Citywide. Read their negative reviews and a clear pattern will emerge -- when they do poor work they respond terribly when you bring it to their attention. As a consumer I would never trust a business that displays poor character just because they can. It's important to choose contractors who are accountable when things go wrong.

I contacted Citywide to replace a shower body in one of my apartments. The part was never installed correctly and they cracked another pipe during installation that caused damage to the ceiling and floor beneath the bathroom. I called Citywide over 16 times since the initial installation to try and resolve the issue. Admittedly, they came back out but the never replaced the part they simply sent multiple people to claim it wasn't their fault and it's tenant negligence. A shower body is behind the wall no amount of tenant negligence would cause it to not function properly from the moment it was installed.

I'm a reasonable person, I understand sometimes things happen. The true test of a good business is how they respond when things go bad. I speak to Chris and he does what any good business does -- he agrees to send someone out. 2 hours later I get a nasty call from Robert he's outright disgusting he's talking over me in his behavior yelling and screaming that I've been a problem since the beginning and they're not coming back ever again. He basically reaffirmed what I'd been saying in that I reported to them that the shower body was incorrectly installed from day 1 but made it seem like I was problematic because I asked them to fix it. They proceeded to string me along for over a year when they could've saved a lot of time and energy if they'd just reinstalled it when I initially reported that there was a problem. Again, read the other reviews and you'll see everyone who was unfortunate enough to have them fall short of expectation with them has a similar experience -- they perform poor work, you complain, Robert is a jerk, they attempt to charge you to fix what they didn't do properly. I'm not just one disgruntled customer.

I called Citywide today at about noon to clear a clogged kitchen sink at my elderly mother's house. I received a call a little later to say a service person would arrive by 1:00 pm. Tim, the service rep, arrived right on time. He identified himself, had a mask on (big plus!), and immediately got to work covering the floor and getting his supplies together. He began by using an electric snaking machine to clear the line. He continued to snake the line but the blockage prevented the line from going through. As a result, black water splashed into the kitchen. Tim thoroughly cleaned up everywhere there were splatters. After a good while, he thought the blockage was due to scaling deep within the pipes, so he had to go into the crawl space under the house to check it out. He tried to clear it, but it soon became apparent the blockage needed to be cleared from under the house, and a second person was called in to assist Tim. Kelvin arrived shortly after, and the two men worked for hours. They had to replace part of the pipeline in order to clear it properly. I cannot say enough good things about Tim. He was courteous, professional, kept me informed as to what was happening, and tried to avoid having to replace pipes to help keep the costs down. He was on the job for over 3 hours, and although it was very difficult work to clear the lines, was just satisfied that he was able to get the job done. On top of it all, the price was reasonable, considering the amount of time and energy that was necessary. I would definitely call Citywide again, and would specifically ask for Tim! Great job all around!

4 stars!? Are you absolutely out of your damn mind. This company is probably a crown jewel in a sea of companies that would just as soon rip you off.

They came to my house at 1AM when almost 20 other places deemed my situation a non emergency. I had NO WATER, I had a small pool in my kitchen spreading through my first floor. You bet your ass it was an emergency.

Citywide dispatched someone and they came as soon as they could. I could tell I was talking to someone who was just woken up, so Joaquin, thank you so much for making the drive. The citywide tech came and thankfully diagnosed the problem. We had a leak in our hot water line going underneath the house/slab foundation.

He sadly couldn't complete the repair, he didn't have the tools to go jack hammering. I could understand that, He was able to make sure that the problem was with the hot water line and not the cold, so we could at least flush our toilets.

The next day citywide had techs come to my house. THE NEXT FREAKING DAY. Are you kidding me? I can't get next day service from some dry cleaners in the area.

They were professional and did everything in their power to keep my kitchen whole. I can't believe they managed it, but they had to only jack hammer a very small hole to find and fix the broken pipe. They made sure the leak was fixed and cleaned up and laid cement.

Citywide was so nice and accommodating. They worked with me and made sure I understood everything that was happening. They have to be some of the most professional people I've had to work with so far in my time being a homeowner.

Thank you citywide for being one of the really great people out there. If you need help or are in trouble with plumbing, you can trust Citywide. I will probably call them first before calling my family if I ever need help again.

Not so consistent with their cesspool service and payment options. They said they'd only accept visa when I only had amex or check. I've written them checks so many times but they said no record of it. So, I said take my amex and they said no amex. I said i didn't have any other and the guy said he might have to put the shit back in the cesspool. I said go ahead and went inside my house. The guy knocked on my door after a few minutes and said amex is ok. The office also called me saying check was ok as well. Not calling them for anything anymore. Had the hardest time paying them.

Called CityWide, the young lady that answered the phone was very polite and professionally listened to my plumbing issue, then scheduled my appointment for the next morning, on Saturday, no extra charge for a weekend service call.

I have used Citywide before and had an Ok experience, This time I had a plumbing issue which needed to be addressed. But this time a family member of mine recomend to use Charles as he had a good experience with him.
So I called and I asked for Charles, (Normally they send whomever they want)
When I met Charles and he started to work, we started talking, I realized that he is an educated man.
He was knowledgable about how to address the problem and gave me pointers how to prevent the problem from Happening again.
He was a hard working young man, very courteous and made sure not to create extra mess, and Everything was Cleaned up before he leave the house.

We recently used City Wide for a cesspool pumping. They said they would come between 11-1 the next day, but were a bit late (they came around 1:50). No big deal.

Unfortunately, however, they were unable to find our cesspool cap after the first hour (they'd said the first half-hour of labor was free plus $95 per additional half hour, but then attempted to charge us $195 for the first hour of service, we contested this and they agreed to write it off). So, they sent someone else to try to use a special camera, who came back that evening and looked for about 90 minutes unsuccessfully. At this point we were out $500 for the camera search, with a filled-to-the-brim cesspool and a lot of frustration.

So, why four stars? Well, the camera guy (Michael) was extremely courteous and professional and came back the very next morning, and our story has a happy ending.

The night before he came back, I was able to locate an old site map of the property that showed the location of the cap, which he was able to then find in about 30 minutes (note to homeowners, make sure you know where the cap is! searching for it is a huge hassle). He then cleared out some debris in our line and called the pumping truck who got the job done in a couple of hours.

All in all, this cost more than I was expecting (about $1900 for 4000 gallons plus clearing the line plus using the camera plus some other miscellaneous items), but it was done very professionally and very well, at least thus far - it's only been a few days so we'll see.

In our case, I think there was a ton of stuff in the cesspool because it hadn't been pumped in many, many years (long before we were here). We probably could have done it cheaper elsewhere, but all in all I was happy with the service and would likely recommend them to others. I'm thankful they were able to do the job, came so quickly, and didn't give up.

I should also mention they were pretty good about COVID-related safety. Not perfect, but better than most. When inside the house, they almost always wore masks, and wore masks outside at least 75% of the time. I thought this was good, considering other experiences we've had with others not following guidelines.

Highly recommend citywide, our sewer had a blockage which caused water to flood our basement as the water started coming out from a pipe behind the washing machine. They came within an hour to repair the issue during this pandemic. Jerome was great used a mask and gloves, and even helped us clean up the mess left behind. We have never had this issue before and I was uncertain as to who to even call. Thankfully this blockage was not an expensive issue to fix, they were reasonably priced and the repairs come with a 6 month warranty.

We had been having back ups in our drainage basin at the bottom of the driveway. Water was flooding up to 3 inches against the garage door and was up the driveway about 10 feet. Eventually the water would drain, but it took a couple of hours after the rain stopped. A leading plumber friend referred me to CityWide so I called. They sent a great specialist named Alex who arrived less than 2 hours after my call. Alex snaked the line to our dry well. When he retracted the snake coil I couldn't believe my eyes as to what was at the end of the line. Roots! Sinewy and tough had been choking off the dry well but Alex's drill bit with two sets of teeth chewed right through them and here they came back with the leading edge of the coil. Alex separated the roots and put them in a trash bag. Today (a week and a half later), we are at the tail end of a 2 day rain storm associated with Hurricane Zeta and I am pleased to say we have no back up! Everything's draining as it's supposed to. Thank you City Wide and Alex.

I called Citywide plumbing to come check out my sewage line and they told me someone would be here in 15 minutes. An hour later I called again and he said he'd be here in 15 minutes. I waited another hour and they said he'd be here in 10 minutes. 3 hours after my initial call, I gave up and called another company. Of course someone shows up 15 minutes later and it didn't seem practical to turn him away.

The service was actually decent, and the plumber was exceptionally nice. But 2 days later, I had another backup. He showed up again, an hour and a half late, of course, and found another issue.

They said they'd send someone else out at 8am the following morning. It's 1:05pm, and no one is here yet. Dispatcher said he'd be here in another 1.5 hours (I'll expect him in 4 hours, thanks).

The 6 month warranty is great (though it won't cover the cost of additional services when they miss the problem on your initial appointment), their plumbers are nice, and the price is very affordable, but expect to be waiting in your house for them literally ALL day (until 4pm for an 8am appointment- this is not a circumstance, it's a trend, trust me).

Unfortunately I had called another plumber first who charged me a lot of money and was unable to clear the clog. Then I called Citywide. They came the next morning and after checking it out they gave me a fixed price quote (not an hourly rate) and they were able to clear the clog in about an hour. Warning do NOT use them. I've been using them for years and never had a problem until now. They came over to drain our cesspool and overflow at our house. The next thing I know my basement bathroom completely backed up with disgusting water all over my basement! Rather than take ownership of the issue and help us fix it they denied any responsibility and said we must've been at fault. They didn't help us at all. The general manager Fred is completely unprofessional and incompetent. By the way you can't even escalate the problem because no one there will tell you the owners name. So sketchy and bizarre.
I did NOT have a problem before they arrived and I empty the cesspool every single year. Now I am stuck with a flooded basement after paying them $1500 to drain our system. Unbelievable.

Set up consult appointment which they showed up two hours late for, then schedule appointment to fix water heater since they promised to call while arriving since it is a rental property. Decided to give them a second chance and scheduled the appointment for the next day. Was give a window that they would show up between 9-11, however they never showed up. The plumber that came to clean out a clog in the sewer pipe of my business was knowledgable, efficient and performed the task as expected. The price was much higher than I would have liked considering their are plumbers who advertise $50 for any cleaning. Nonetheless you pay for what you get.

We had been steady and loyal customers for several years with no problems until this incident. On New Years Day, our cesspool backed up. I called them for service, only to discover that, without any notice or warning, they flagged us to no longer provide service, and when I asked for a reason, they refused to provide one. They left us with a backed up cesspool on New Years Day with nowhere to turn. We eventually found another provider who, during the course of the service, found a larger main cesspool that Citywide somehow missed. These people are incompetent and irresponsible and should be avoided at all costs.

These guys were just awful in the Summer of 2015 my father who is in his 90s called them to fix a slow leaking toilet tank.
The plumber went out to buy parts, disassembled the entire toilet, removing it from the floor, spent several hours, then told my dad that it was not fixable and it would have to be replaced and the replacement would cost $1500- $2000. Luckily I was talking to my dad that day and he mentioned it to me. I asked him to please not go forward with this as it sounded like an exorbitant amount of money and also I didn't understand why a simple leak from the tank into the bowl couldn't be fixed. My dad agreed to hold off and let me look at it. Unfortunately, he had given them his Visa credit card to charge $125 for their services.
When I got to the house, I removed the lid from the tank, shined my iPhone flashlight into the tank, saw the small ripples caused by a slow leak, lifted up the flapper mechanism saw that it was an old design but was adjustable by way of a threaded screw the sealing disc was at the end of. I turned it 2 1/2 turns counterclockwise tightening it and water no longer leaked into the bowl, not even a drop. This all took less than 30 seconds to accomplish, including removing and putting back the porcelain lid. I protested to City Wide Sewer and Drain that their employee had simply wasted his time due either to incompetence- I'm no plumber and it took me under a minute to diagnose and fix - or greed, trying to get an elderly man to replace a perfectly good toilet for $1500-$2000, when the repair was easy as pie and very straight forward. There were no parts needed, and it was fixed and continues to operate flawlessly two years later.
They kept my Dad's $125.00 and Visa ruled it an appropriate charge, so we're out $125 for no good reason, but at least you know and can make an informed decision when you need a plumber.

Excellent and prompt service. They were here on time and did exactly what they said they would do. Their prices were extremely competitive. It was a large job, our waste pipe had a break in it and was clogged with roots, our lawn was dug up along the pipe line area along with 2 pieces of cement. They put the cement back without breaking it and put the dirt and lawn back with the exception of the area that was dug out. You will not be disappointed with this company. I needed my sewer line replaced due to nearby trees. I called 3 companies for quotes, City wide was the first to show up. Fred had called the town ahead of time and knew where the pipe was located and how far down he would have to dig. With that information he was able to quote the job accurately. City wide was the lowest at $3000.00 the highest was 6300.00
City wide did a great job at the best price.

Had emergency plumbing and they came recommended by 2 people I know. Gary showed up within a couple of hours of me calling and did a great job. Reasonable price and very reliable. I literally referred one of my friends to their company while Gary was doing the work

I called this company at 3am for my father who lives in Brooklyn NY and spoke to a nice woman secretary. She told me that they will call me back at 5:30am, never received a call, so we called them at 8am and told us they are digging out their trucks from the blizzard, and then we called again at 10am, and the guy named Mike told me there was nobody to come out. I do not know how they fix things, but their 24/7 service is a sham. We needed a plumber asap, and granted there was a blizzard the day before, but they gave us the run around. And why do you guys have multiple phone numbers with different area codes?? What kind of business are you?

The technician told us he won't come out for less than $500 at 12:30am. His name is Orlando. When we said that was ridiculous he started negotiating and said ok 450! What kind of a hoax do your run? I would never use you again and have been a customer for over 10 years. I intend on filing a complaint with the BBB

Had to line my 32 yr old sewer pipe from house to street. These guys were unreal. Fast neat honest and 25 yr guarantee!,,, Rob and Harry were sensational. Answered every question and were very clear in describing our issue and the lining process

Way, way overpriced for mediocre workmanship. Late on multiple appointments.
Do not stand behind their work. Come up with excuses why nothing is ever their fault or responsibility. My advice is stay away. Plenty of much better and much cheaper sewer and drain companies.

I called this establishment about four days ago. The guy came at 830 at night. He could not do the job at that time. Quoted me a price. I agree to the price. I told him if he can do it in a couple of days as I had to work. He said ok. I called the place the day before and they stated he would come to my place after 12 and they would contact me. 12:30pm and no call so I decided to call. Suffice to say after approximately 5 phone calls and being told he left hours ago, he is stuck in traffic, he drives slow and probably has problems with truck. He never showed up. I wasted 5 hours and I will never call them again.

I recently had a clogged bath tub where the water didn't go down at all after a shower. I called citywide at 730am on a sat morning and they quoted me a reasonable and sent a nice gentleman named Mac to my house at 830am!! (1 hour later). It took him 1/2 hour to fix the problem and the price was the same price quoted over the phone. No bait and switches or up selling. I got a receipt for the work which is guaranteed for 6 months. Very pleased with my experience and the tech even cleaned the gunk that came out of my drain.. Thanks citywide I'll be using you in the future.

We've used CityWide several times and have always been happy. This last time it was an emergency and they came promptly and thankfully solved my very unpleasant septic problem. They were polite and accommodating on the phone and the gentleman who arrived to do the work was pleasant and efficient. I will surely call them in the future. I recommend them highly without reservation.

Thought they were a good company. Called for service and was told they will call me when they are on their way. Sat around all day, no call and no show. Called the next day and the call was switched to a supervisor. He tells me that someone will be coming and he will call me. I asked when and he informs me that it will be early. Again, no show. I called on the third day and told them to cancel my service. I ended up calling a more reputal company, Mangano Plumbing Sewer & Drain, that was even on News12 Long Island. They gave them a great story. When the new company showed up to service my cesspool, I showed them where the pipes are for the cesspool and overflow. Thats when I was informed that I had a septic tank and cesspool for the overflow. He then informs me that the pipes that was installed for pumping out the waste is not legal and up to code. Im trying to sell my home and this would have caused me problems. If youre having any thoughts of using this company. My advice is, don't.

Called Citywide at 7pm last night and Gary F was at our house by 8. He was a pleasure to deal with and gave us a very reasonable quote, assuring us that he'd get our tub unclogged. We had been snaking the pipes in the basement and had no luck so we were sure it was going to be a hard job. He had the tub pipes clear in 12 minutes and left us to enjoy our night worry free with a 6 month guarantee on the work. Will definitely call Citywide in the future. Gary F is awesome.

I had a fairly emergent plumbing repair as I had a shower with a broken hot water valve & a house full of guests due to arrive. I use Citywide for my cesspool service & when my neighborhood plumber could not fit me in, I called them. Wow! They were polite & responsive when I made the call... & had a serviceman here fairly quickly! Mac Davis is a true plumbing professional... & although he hit a few snags (old house issues), was able to go out, get the right part & finish the job. I also like that, unlike my local plumber, they have a flat fee for various services. This would have cost a lot more on an hourly basis, because of the complications. Even with the complications of not finding a local shut-off valve after much searching, and a hard to find part, he got the job done with courtesy & an overall great attitude. I will use them again (him if I can) & recommend them!

I had a problem with water backing up in my kitchen sink. I called and got someone on the phone! They dispatched a plumber to my house he made it to me within an hour. He assessed the problem and told us how much it would cost. There was no cost to come out and diagnose the issue. It was reasonable, we gave him the ok. He fixed the problem without making a mess and left. What more could you want? I will call then next time I have a plumbing issue.

Unbelievable service, had a leak under my sink on a Sunday about 3 hours before company was to arrive, called a speedy 30 minute service who completely blew us off. Called citywide and spoke to mike, he assured me his guy would be to my home in about 2 hours, we get a call from Mike T , he's about 30 minutes away, mike shows up on time does a amazing job, clean and fast! We were done before company arrived. Great service, this should be the bench mark for emergency plumbing services. I can't thank them enough and will for sure use them again. Steven F

Excellent service on a Sunday (and no jacking up prices because it was a Sunday, which is what another company I won't name did to me once). This was a hard job -- many tough roots clogging the sewer line -- and the person they sent stayed late (and called in backup when he didn't have the right cutting tool). Both guys worked hard to make sure the line was clear. What's more, CityWide stuck to the original quote, so the price was quite reasonable for all the work they did. Very impressed with this company; wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

Watch out! They are Scammers! Scheduled a service on Thursday to solve the issue with water backing up from the sewer pipeline at my restaurant. The tec came fairly quick and seemed fixed the problem( actually not, the problem seemed fixed because the restaurant was about to closed, and we were not flushing the water any more). On the Friday night, we discovered that the water backed up again at the same area, and we called them again. When they came here today, they said that they will have to charge us again because the problem was caused by the other pipeline. That was ridiculous, if the problem was caused by this one, why you did the job on the other one? And I complained to their representative, and he blamed on my staff saying that my staff told him to fixed the one which was okay, but the truth was that the tec told my staff the problem was caused by the good one, that was why my staff brought the tec to fix the good one( what a shame, you guys are specialized on plumbing and you did not know which one caused the problem?). We did not want to pay, and they threatened us that they will leave without doing anything if we do not give him the credit card before the work. Finally, we pay them as the problem was getting worst. I will file a claim to the Small Claim Court to fight for the justice. Do not choose them unless you wanna pay double

Demetrius showed up to take care of our overflowing (naturally over the 4th of July weekend) septic system on a Sunday, cheerful, helpful and did a great job. Great guy that had good suggestions for me, and my yard was put back together as best he could when he was done. I've used Citywide for years and can continue to highly recommend them after another great experience this past Sunday with Demetrius.

Long overdue Shout out to this company which really stepped up in a pinch for a first time (but not last time) customer. It was the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. I went to do the laundry, which is in the basement, and I realized there was sewage coming up from the slop sink. I called a number of companies that I used before, and none could accommodate an emergency. I reached a live person (Michael) who said he would have someone there within the hour. Well it was little more than an hour - closer to 3 (which is why they don't have 5 stars) but Matt came, and stayed for at good 4 hours, snaking out all the lines until the clogs (which turned out to be in the pipes running beneath my basement floor, among others) were cleared. This involved also changing the valves on the main because they were original and rusted shut. He was neat, clean, polite, and very knowledgeable. And they didn't surcharge for a holiday weekend. Thank you so very much!

I appreciate there ability to come on short notice but beyond that I can't recommend them. I had called to have them come fix two of my radiators that were not working and fix 3 leaky faucets. The woman on the phone said it wasn't a problem that they worked on radiators. When the person arrived he informed me that if it wasn't leaking then he couldnt fix it because then it becomes a boiler problem. Then he quotes me 350 + parts and labor for the leaky faucets (but only for 2 of them because one of them he deemed too old to fix). He left to go get the parts and returned with new knobs for my shower, without asking if that was okay or if it was what I wanted. When he was done repairing the dripping faucets he charged me a total of 625. I got a vague receipt and was left dumbfounded by the almost doubled price. I had used them once before and had great service as well as charged a normal amount. I had really hoped I had found a good honest plumbing company.
