Reed Plumbing did a wonderful job to help with our plumbing issue + sewer clean out installation.

We had a flooding issue in our shower whenever we used our washer machine. Reed Plumbing members were very fast to respond, they came out in the same day late afternoon (one day faster than original scheduled time).
The team members are very professional and patient in going over with us possible issues, inspecting different areas of the house, and cleaning these partial blocks in sewer lines (also helped us resolve kitchen drain issues along the way).
Due to our house pipe setup + no usable cleanout, so they could not use the normal way with a snake tool, the crew needed to climb up to the roof to drop the camera from the air intake pipe.

They were also very accommodating and gave a quick date to install the clean out. They did a wonderful job with the cleanout installation (also recommendation on location + why only need one and future maintenance) + more detailed clean/inspection after the cleanout installation to ensure no further issue on main sewer line.

The crew members ensured areas were restored and cleaned after their tasks.

Will definitely contact them if we have plumbing related issues.

Reed Plumbing did a wonderful job replacing the old drainage pipes under my 60-year old house. From my first contact with Marco through having the work crew here to having Maria come by with the permit forms and invoice, I felt I was treated with respect. They were able to schedule the work with consideration for my needs. Everyone was friendly and professional. The work crew took care to minimize the impact on my property. At each step I was kept abreast of what was happening and given an estimate of how long it would take. Once the work was started they were actually able to revise the estimated cost downward. I can recommend this company very highly. They made what could have been a nightmare situation as painless as possible.

I had a paticularly big plumbing problem...the main water pipe broke under my driveway. Water necessitated a complete shutdown. Marco, the owner at Reed understanding our dilemma managed to flip some schedules to get urgent help. After Leak Detection work that is not as precise as one would want, the team at Reed jackhammered and sawed not one but two openings about 3 ft. Square, they dug about 5 ft. down, found the pipe and repaired. This was a big deal and huge repair. All done in very cold post Thanksgiving temperatures and rain. I can't say enough about the support Marco and his team provided. I would absolutely recommend them...

Our water heater went out on a Saturday, of course, and was leaking badly inside the house inside a utility closet, so we had to turn the indoor water off. We called 3 local plumbers, and Marco at Reed Plumbing quickly returned our call and advised us on shutting down the leaking system. He scheduled us for service on Monday when they could get the replacement and not charge us the exorbitant weekend rate that seems to be a standard in the industry.

The crew that came out was efficient and knowledgeable, plus kept the wood floor hallway protected as they worked. It was a difficult job as they had to remove a monster 75 gallon unit. They reconnected our recirculating pump and added a shutoff valve at no extra charge. The 50-gallon unit Marco recommended has been working great.

Our water heater tank broke and was flooding our garage in the middle of the night. It was the worst timing especially since I had a party planned for the next night. We had tried making an appointment with another company but they were not being responsive so I decided to reach out to others the next morning and luckily Reed Plumbing was the first on my list. From the beginning they were responsive, asked for pictures of the tank, provided estimates right away and answered all of my questions. They were not pushy and they were so understanding of the urgency. They rearranged some of the appointments and was able to come 15 minutes before the time they gave me! They had 2 men work on the tank who were really friendly and finished it in around 2 hours. They really helped turn this nightmare around and it was such an easy process. Thank you Reed Plumbing!

Loved that Marco our worker showed up wearing a mask as this is important as far as safety goes particularly now. We also were very thankful that he called about an hour or so before our actual appointment time as our window was from 1-3pm today. Marco showed up at around 12:30. He was all prepared in doing the job & too, was quite efficient. He also cleaned up afterwards which is a plus in my book!
Steve, my fiancé was pleased to say the least & too, thought that the price was reasonable considering what needed to be done. He worked on our bathroom sink area as our pipes were rotted to say the least...actually falling apart so we now have new plumbing/pipes there.
He wasn't there long & we will definitely be looking to using this company once again if ever the time arises.

Tough one! Holiday weekend and we had water coming from our ceiling and down the wall. I knew it wasn't roof -- but we shut down our upstairs bath until we could get a plumber out on Tuesday.
Marco Vargas and his co-worker from REED Plumbing Company in Livermore came out at 8:30 am. By 9:30 am they had located the leak (a mouse had chewed through some flex tubing going to the upstairs bathroom. By 10:30 they had fixed the leak. Very respectful, absolutely knew what he was doing and looking for and you can't appreciate that kind of knowledgeable work enough.
I have my own real estate company with a lot of buildings that need proper attention, so I know how valuable a good resource is (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, etc.), so Marco and REED plumbing are going into my personal contact list. I know if I have a problem in the future, they will be the first plumber I call. Excellent work.

Used these guys on the advice of a contractor friend. Needed someone to install a gas line to our washer/dryer room in our house, built in 1977. They got it done in less than 2 hours and went out of their way to clean up, make the inlet look nice, re-lit our pilot lights, and even installed the clothes drier FOR me! All of this for $200 less than they quoted to just do the line. Marco and Pepe were polite, efficient, and knowledgeable.

We had an emergency plumbing situation come up yesterday and the first two places I called couldn't come until Monday (4 days!)... so I started down the line and found Reed Plumbing - and I'm so glad I did!! I talked to Marco and he was kind and helpful, and even though he was getting ready to head out on a trip he talked with his guys and told me they would come by this morning! These two were nice, professional, fast and honest - what I thought was going to be a couple grand was $500, including replacing a completely rusted out pipe. I would definitely recommend!

Reed plumbing rocks. This review is long overdue. We bought our house 8 months ago. As soon as we moved in we found there were plumbing issues. The previous owners did a half ass job with the piping. So we had to repipe most of the house. We originally called another company who referred us to Reed. The Marcos and his crew were great. They finished the job on time and budget and recommended a great sheetrock guy. Also, we still had some issues with our kitchen faucet and Marcos came out twice after the job was done to fix the issue which wasn't their fault and didn't charge us extra.

I have a rental and the valve in the shower in the shower/bathtub unit was broken and needed to be replaced. Marco answered and said his crew was busy Thursday, but he can send someone the next day. I had a tight schedule.... and asked for an early morning slot. He re-arranged his people schedule. and we text and called to which allow me to communicate with the tenants of when they would arrive and to gain access to the house. Two of his workers came and they were very professional. One was his brother Jose. They estimated about 1.5 hours to do the job including get the parts. They took half an hour....So they were very fast and competent. I asked for a small discount since they finished the job in 1/2 hr vs the 1.5 hours. But Marco pointed out that his people had to get the parts in Livermore.

I was very please with the job. The tenants were too. I would highly recommend them.... for quality, response, excellent communication, competency and quickness of doing the job.

Marco plus his two helpers just installed an electric heat-pump water heater in place of my gas water heater. The plumbing is quite different, plus I have a circulating pump. I was able to schedule the work ahead of time, and they arrived promptly. Everything was done very professionally and to code. The cost was as estimated and very fair. 4 1/2 stars rounded up. In this day and age where plumbers like Barnett and others in LIvermore, routinely ask for $4-$600 or more per man / hour, Reed plumbing was downright reasonable. They tried to fit us in on short notice and did. Plumbed in 4 sinks into newly installed countertops. Two of the sinks had tiny leaks, one because of the plastic drain pipe is hard to tighten around just right. They came back first thing in the AM, fixed one and came again a day later for a third time for the hard to fix plastic drain pipe. They lost half a star for not wearing booties on the carpeting automatically, but I guess even that is a pretty hard knock, but I did round up. Marco, always courteous, professional, and helpful.

A dank smell led to every home owners dread. A spraying pipe under the house! Sure enough there was water everywhere and of course it was late in the evening. Reed Plumbing responded quickly via Yelp system and by early AM I was in the schedule for that same day! The team of Pepe and Daniel were nice, dead center of their time window and explained the issue clearly. They made it under the house in a space that was small to me, but some how they did it! They were efficient and made the repair quickly. No wasted time on a per hour job! Now I know I have a first choice for some non emergency, nice to have home plumbing touch ups. 15 years ago I called Reed Plumbing randomly to be part of a large remodel we did.

David Reed showed up, introduced himself, shook my hand and told me we would never need to call another plumber. He was right. We used Reed Plumbing on many occasions over the years. Responsive, professional and fair are all accurate descriptions.

More importantly we need to add trustworthy. Marco Vargas handled all our service needs. He is the only contractor we ever worked with that had full access to our home when we were not home. He is the best of the best.

I would give them 10 stars if I could I just got out of the hospital and my toilet got plugged I called everybody everybody was busy it was 2 o'clock on a Wednesday I thought I was going to have to rent a hotel room for the night because the closest I get was the next day and I only have one toilet in my apartment I called a bunch of plumbers one other plumber said that maybe he could come by after hours at 8:30 and he was going to charge me three $50-$400 an hour depending how it took so I called re-plumbing and I can't remember the lady's name she was a very nice lady and she says I'll get back to you my guys are busy but we'll see I don't expect anything 30 minutes later she says my guy will be over there in five minutes or less they come over to gentleman they fix it And I'm good to go I did not have to rent a hotel room for the night they charge me 190 which is OK it's the standard for most plumbing jobs they are the best most times if you don't have an appointment Needless to say I was a static and I was always recommend them to anybody I know and I will use them again myself if you want someone good in the dry Valley you reed plumbing

I had water coming from the ceiling of the master bath. It was Friday night at 6 pm and I called Marco at Reed Plumbing. He was cordial and said he could be there in 30 minutes although I think he was on his way home. World class service and very reasonable pricing considering it was an emergency. Main water line had sprung a leak. Marco saved me from major water damage or having to shut my water off for the whole weekend. Don't bother calling anyone else for Plumbing except Marco at Reed Plumbing. Thanks again Marco

Reed Plumbing (Marcos) came through in a pinch! My new gas oven range was delivered and the gas hose connection was a different size. I called around and one company recommended Reed Plumbing. I called and Marcos immediately answered. Even though it was already 2:30PM he made time to come by before his last appointment. He didn't have the right valve, but made time to run to local hardware store to pick one up. 45 minutes later the new gas valve was done and my new oven range connected. Great service all around!

Used this company for the first time - had several plumbing projects (faucet upgrades, shower valves, sluggish drain pipes) we didn't want to do ourselves, in case we ended up with an emergency plumbing need and no water. They were very good about staying in contact as I was gathering parts (I chose to buy them myself) - and were very accommodating, knowledgeable, and got the job done efficiently, while observing Covid protocol (masks, distancing). A big plus was they were extremely reasonable cost-wise. I will definitely call them next time I have a plumbing issue that I can't resolve easily myself.

Marco is awesome. I had made mistake of purchasing a water heater from Sears. Marco had warned me that the offer cheap prices then when they come to install they raise it. I was assured by the Sears rep that that was the final price but when the plumber came, sure enough, he wanted another $400! In addition, sears made me wait a week - an entire week without ar shower, dishes, laundry (luckily some friends came to my need for the shower).

Marco installed a better water heater for the same total price minus that $400 I paid Sears. He told me upfront it was a flat price. He replaced the valves and didn't charge me extra for parts like the other Plumber wanted to.

But I also liked about Marco is that he gets back to you right away and is conscientious about trying to do the work as soon as he can. I called him on a Friday and he apologized to me that he couldn't do it that evening!

Only a few days later, I had a leak from my toilet and of course, I called Marco. He not only took care of it he also replaced some rusted parts.

Like all plumbers, he's not cheap, but he's reliable and will do the job right the first time. He additionally told me that they guarantee their work.

Marco didn't try to oversell me on something I didn't need that would have cost an additional $250 in parts alone. I appreciate his honesty, especially after another plumber told me I needed it. Marco and his colleague performed the repair very quickly, and he adjusted his charges down a bit lower. Really going beyond, I think!! Would definitely call Reed Plumbing again! We've used Reed once or twice before and been very pleased. But they won my loyalty this week. We had a problem with a shower in our house and I was concerned that it was a leak or something major. But after a few back and forth messages with David (the owner, I think), he talked me though a couple simple things to try to fix the problem. Turns out one of them worked and it ended up being an easy repair that I was able to do on my own, and now the shower is working great again, and I didn't need to have anyone come out. Not a lot of small business owners are willing to talk themselves out of a service call and fee. I offered to pay, but David declined. Reed will definitely have my business next tie we need a plumber!

Wow, never thought how bad it would be when the water heater goes out until it happened to me while my in laws were visiting. I called a different plumber first who came on Friday and mentioned he'd return but we never heard from him again. After leaving a desperate message for Reed plumbing on Friday night, Marco called me back Saturday saying he'd be willing to pick up and install the broken gas valve. It doesn't end there, the gas valve wasn't the only problem so Marco called in a few favors himself to get a new burner for us on the same day. A little while later, Marco had us back with hot water. He went so far out of his way to fix the problem during weekend hours and I'm truly grateful for it . I highly recommend Reed plumbing for anyone in the tri-Valley area with plumbing issues.

I've used Reed Plumbing on two occasions. Both times they have provided excellent service. They are honest and reliable. What more could you ask for? Customer loyalty!

The firs time I used them to clear some drain issues. Marco noticed that I did not have a proper clean out installed because of the age of my house. I went ahead and had him install the clean-out, which he did right away, and at a good price.

The second time I needed them was on short-notice for a gas line run to my fireplace. I told Marco that unfortunately I was having the gas log set and fireplace screen installed in a couple of days. I had ordered the log and screen a couple weeks earlier but forgot to get the gas line ran to the fireplace. Although I could delay the installation, because the fireplace wasn't ready and it was short-notice for the line install. Marco said he could move a few things around and get it done for me the next day. True to his word, he was at my place by 10:30 am the next day, and had the line installed within a few hours. The log-set and screen were able to get installed the following day. This was possible because of Marco's customer loyalty. Everything works great.

We are extremely happy with Reed Plumbing services! Maria in the office is very professional, pleasant, understanding, and got us into the schedule as soon as she could (no hot water!!!) Pepe and Angel were prompt, professional, worked hard, knew what they were doing, respectful of our home, and did a nice, clean job. Marco came out to check that job was going well. Reed Plumbing solved our hot water problem, in a timely manner, at a fair price. Afterwards, we had a little problem with low water pressure from 2 faucets, but Marco came out as soon as he could to fix the problem. I purchased a replacement washing machine from a large independent retailer in Livermore and was assured that they had 2 plumbers on call in case there were problems with the install (I was anticipating problems due to having hard water in Dublin). Turned out that during the install, when the shut-off valves were turned back on, they were leaking. One of the retailer's plumbers never returned their calls but fortunately, the other called to say he couldn't make it out for 2 weeks but referred me to Reed Plumbing. Marco and his assistant came out the next day and replaced the valve stems in about 35 minutes, a tough job as it was a stacked washer-dryer in a small space. The price was more than reasonable. I've used several plumbers over the years and they are by far, the best!

Excellent company. Our water heater was starting to fail so I called Reed plumbing to inquire about our options. We had an AO Smith water heater and it had lasted for so long (19 years ) we wanted another one. I talked with Marco and he laid it out plain and simple. He and Raul came out the next day and an hour later my water heater was in. They replaced old fittings, valves and added a new drip pan. Great guys I highly recommend this Company.

My handyman told me to call Marco to fix my badly leaking water main. Marco came out as soon as he could and did a great job fixing it quickly and for a good price! He's also super nice and explained how he was going to fix it, and once he was done, showed me what had been done and explained how everything worked. I was having problems with the sewer pipes under my house. The pipes were clogging up and starting to rust. I spoke to Marco at Reed plumbing. Marco was very friendly and helpful over the phone. Marco set up an appointment for Pepe and Angel to come out to do the work once it was confirmed what was needed. Pepe and Angel showed up on time and replaced the old sewer pipe and also added a clean out in half the estimated time given by another company. They did a great job and their price for the work was very fair compared to other plumbing companies I spoke with. Thank you Reed plumbing team for your excellent work!

We sold our house and on moving out day our fridge line would not stop leaking after the movers disconnected it. Because we needed to hand over the keys on the following day, I reached out to my realtor in a panic. We've never needed a plumber before and didn't know a reliable person/company to get help from.

Marco was able to squeeze us in at 8:30 the next morning, after I'd contacted him the night before around 10:30 PM. In the morning rush, we'd forgotten our keys to the home and couldn't actually get into our place to have Marco fix the issue. He had to leave to get to other appointments, but we were really lucky to have Raul come to our rescue a few hours later.

What was really awesome is that Raul explained the options for fixing the issue (from temporary fix to the right way to fix it) and provided his recommendation. Raul went to the store to purchase the necessary parts and fixed the issue within an hour of his original inspection. After he left, I put paper towel under the valve just to make sure there were no more leaks -- and it stayed completely dry for the next 5 hours until we moved out.

Marco and Raul did an awesome job and totally saved the day. I'm already planning to ask them to connect the water lines for the fridge and laundry machine when we move to our new house. I'd definitely recommend them!

Marco recently did some work at our rental house in Livermore. He is extremely honest and very customer oriented. He suggested creative cost effective alternative approaches that saved significant money.
He installed a hose bib on the opposite side of my front yard. He also cut off a piece of pipe that was set in concrete because I wanted my bird feeder closer to the ground. Marco achieved what I wanted for 1/3 the cost quoted by the other bidder. Unlike the other bidder who quoted only on doing the job the way I described it, Marco noticed that there was an unused stub on my sprinkler system manifold in my front yard and pointed out that adding the hose bib there instead of drilling through the house and tapping off of crawl space piping would involve significantly less parts and labor. Instead of rethreading the bird feeder pipe he pointed out that using his crimping tool would save labor and cost less. He also talked me out of moving a hose bib in my back yard pointing out I had another one nearby. The bottom line is that Marco accomplished my needs for 1/3 of the cost of the other bidder.
He is professional, personable, affordable and tries hard to give customers the best value for their money.

I had a need to get a major issue fixed for a rental property going up for sale on a Sunday. Called the Friday afternoon prior to set an appointment. Was happy to get a small 1/2 hour window. I'm always suspicious about glowing reviews, but I have to tell you, Marco is the man and I cannot say enough about him. I had a leak from my main water supply by the meter and am about to sell my house so I needed to take care of it. I got four quotes. One would not come out to look, insisted on everything by photos, and quoted $400 best case. Dollar Plumbing came and told me $2100, then backed off to $1500, then $1000. Very suspicious if you ask me, why should the price change based on my reaction to it? What is this, Craigslist? AbleTo Plumbing came out to look and after a long discussion among three workers, quoted $1150 best case, up to $1500, due to the difficult access and such. They seemed very professional. But then I spoke with Marco and he was just a perfect blend of professional and friendly and down to earth. He came to look and said, I can do it for $400, described exactly how he would proceed, did not blink an eye when I asked him why he was so much cheaper, said the only reason he would have to go higher would be if he had to dig it out and there was no reason for that. True to his work, he finished in two hours, charged me $285, and needless to say I'm extremely pleased with his work ethic and quality of service. Highly recommended, could not possibly have done better for me. If you have a tricky job, definitely try to get Marco out there to look at it, he might save you $800 like he just did for me. I do believe that the higher bids were just trying to take advantage of me, and that stinks, but happy ending to my story! Yay.

Called Marco at Reed Plumbing to have both the hot and cold water pipes in my bathroom replaced, as I had absolutely no water pressure. Marco came by and gave me a quoted, which I felt was reasonable. He estimated it would take two days to complete the job. They were to begin work the next week. Marco and Raoul showed up right on time and began work immediately, which I really appreciated as they quoted a price based on time and materials. They took great care in protecting my hardwood floors, by promptly placing down protective tarps. When I returned home that evening, I found that they had actually completed the job in 1 long day. Not only do I now have great water pressure, Marco actually came in under the quoted price. I am very thankful to Marco and Raoul and would not hesitate to call them again.

Though we've used Reed Plumbing a number of times over the years this is our first review...
We had Reed Plumbing out late last week for an emergency repair...they came within a few hours of our cry for help! They fixed the problem and in the process discovered a sewer leak we were unaware of.

Professional. Efficient and honest. I had a leak and had gotten an estimate from a franchise company named after a founding father, claiming a major re-do was necessary. What a great company. I was referred to Reed Plumbing, by my usual plumber who was too busy for a timely visit. I called Reed Plumbing and was greeted warmly. Although, they were also booked for the day, they scheduled me for 8 am the next morning.

Marco arrived promptly, and after hearing my problem, immediately went to work. The problem was resolved without any extra mess or fuss. Marco was very watchful about keeping my house clean. He also took the time to HEAR me, and also to explain the process as well. The fee was reasonable, especially since they don't usually work on the weekend.

I would absolutely recommend Reed Plumbing to my friends and family.

Turned on our shower Thanksgiving morning to find water shooting across the bathroom. Turned off the water to the whole house and started calling plumbers (and yes, we were hosting for the holiday). Reed Plumbing was the only one that responded. He texted that he was out of town for the holiday and would guide us through some solutions over the phone. After not getting a call back from another plumber, I called Reed. I based this on the other yelp reviews. I got an answering machine that said to call Marco's cell if I didn't want to leave a message. Marco answered and said he could be here the following am between 8:30 and 9. He arrived at ~8:45 and was done in an hour and a half, totally replacing the plumbing under my kitchen sink with the correct materials (which wasn't done correctly when we remodeled), and replaced the old garbage disposal with a new Insinkerator- all for under $300! And what a polite and nice guy! We will definitely call Reed when we get ready to re-do our bathroom.

I contacted them for a gas line installation at my home as we wanted to replace the electric stove with Gas Stove. Marco showed up promptly for an estimate. I did take estimates from 3 other plumbing companies in the area and he gave the best quote of all. He sounded like he knows his job and we decided to go with him. He showed up on time with his helper on the day of installation and did a very clean job. We didn't have the gas stove when he installed the hose the second time he came back to complete the job after the city inspection, so the direction of the connector was obstructing the gas stove from going all the way in when lowes installed the tubing. We informed him about it and he came back and fixed it for us at no extra cost. Overall he is prompt, professional, knows his job and does very clean work. It is very easy getting in touch with him or his office staff Maria. I highly recommend him for any kind of plumbing needs.

Had a clogged main pipe in my double wide and tried unsuccessfully to convince 5 other companies of my emergency. Called a friend who recommended their personal plumber but he was busy. He did give me Marco's number, said he did good work, but he was wrong - he does GREAT work !! Came over 20 minutes after I called, snaked out the main pipe, charged a very reasonable price, was very friendly, and above all, was very knowledgeable and professional. I no longer have toilet issues along with no longer having slow draining sinks and tubs.
