Established in 2003.
Jeff Drost Started Plumbing in 1992. He was the national trainer of Rescue Rooter for ten years. Carl Shideler has been doing Plumbing and HVAC since 1988. Jeff N Carl have been working together for over 17 years. They started their company because they were sick of big business plumbing. Treating people like numbers and trying to do as many jobs a day as possible was not what either of them wanted to do. Since they couldn't find a company that would treat people like people, they decided to start their own company. We tell it like is is our company motto. No hidden fees, no up sales and no run around.

Jeff Drost and Carl Shideler have been doing plumbing and HVAC for over 50 years combined service. Carl is a father of three grown daughters and has been married for over 20 years. Jeff is a father of five and has also been married for over 20 years. His oldest son is in the United States Marine Corps. His second oldest is enlisted in The United States Army. Jeff is a United States Marine Corps Veteran and holds family and country close to his heart.

These guys are the best. Not long after purchasing our home the furnace started breaking down. I had 3 other companies come out and each of them said it was a lost cause and would need a complete replacement at a pretty huge cost due to the age and configuration of our unit. Luckily I decided to have one more company come out, Jeff-N-Carls, and the worker decided to try and fix it. He could have easily said that it needed replacement, but instead he spent 3-4 hours trying it all, figuring that if it's already broken, why not at least try? Well, he got it done. It's been over a year and it's still working perfectly. They saved us thousands of dollars by going the extra mile. It's rare to find people who are so incredibly trustworthy and nice in this line of business, and my wife and I are incredibly grateful they're around. I wouldn't call anyone else for heating/plumbing/ac/etc. work after that experience. Highly recommend.

This is the 3rd time I've used Jeff-N-Carls plumbing for my office. They have always been reliable, reasonable, and efficient. Great people! Highly recommend.
Tim did an excellent job, above and beyond. He wasn't happy with the way the bathtub faucet looked/worked, so he replaced it with an even better one! He and Tyler were meticulous in cleanup, were courteous and attentive.

Our A/C wasn't turning on so I called Jeff-N-Carl's because of the reviews on Yelp and they are a Veteran owned business.
Timothy W. showed up and quickly diagnosed the issue was that the thermostat quit working...to ensure that was the only issue, he did a check of the system. It was just the thermostat...he came and installed a new one the next day.

I wanted to use these guys because of their reviews. I had to cancel the appointment after I had already received service earlier the same day.
Jeff-N-Carl's initially responded super fast and set an appointment the following day during one of the hottest years I can remember. Unfortunately I didn't get to witness their services, but if their service is anything like their communication and punctuality, then I must applaud them and give them a few stars for their trophy cabinet.
Keep up the good work. Maybe next time.

To start, I did not use their service. The reason was that they quoted $800 for a job that should have been no more than $350. I needed a new pressure reducing valve. I asked Cody, their plumber, what their hourly fee was. He said they didn't have one, but that the cost was high because of the price of gas and their insurance. Hmmm, that's called normal business expense.
I ended up buying the valve at Home Depot for $172 (inc tax) and it took me about an hour to do the job. That means they were asking for at least $628 per hour (I'm sure they can get the valve wholesale and they probably could have installed it quicker than I did).
If they weren't so greedy, I was willing to spend $350, which would have pocketed them at least $178 per hour. Guess that's not enough for them.

Unfortunately there was unanticipated issue after the service person started the job and he was not qualified to fix the new problem so he billed me $294 and left the job 1/2 done. He was a nice young man but I feel he should not have charged me anywhere near that much when the job was not completed, even though he did spend 2 hours at our house. I asked him about 2 other minor plumbing jobs that I had and he quoted me right around $300 for each. Seems like Jeff N Carls motto is everything is at least $300 no matter how minor the problem. I never received a follow up from the owners as to my experience and/or to apologize for their service man not being qualified to complete the my job. I will give them credit for a quick response but I feel they are too expensive to call our for any smaller jobs and I would not refer them tp family and friends.
It's tough finding honest Techs that don't try to upsell you on things you don't really need. Jeff sent Tim out to my home today to figure out why my A/C's weren't working as well as years past. Turns out the problem was pretty simple and something I overlooked and didn't think about. Since the problem was something simple I overlooked and just needed it pointed out to me, there was no charge because their estimates are free. I still paid Tim for his time coming out because his attention to detail during his inspection fixed my problem and I appreciated the straightforward honesty. These guys have earned my trust and will definitely get all my future business. Thank you Jeff and Tim!
Fast response I appreciate that!!! My a/c broke on Friday evening right before one of the hottest weekend to come. So I was not happy luckily I was not going to be home Saturday. Called Jeff and Carl's plumbing I got a fast response and I was told we can be there Monday between 12-2 they showed up knew exactly what the problem was gave me a quote that was very reasonable. They had the part in their truck they fixed my A/C in a matter of minutes it was up and running. So I would highly recommend Jeff and Carl's plumbing. Attentive! On time! Most importantly, not trying to price gouge. Came to evaluate our AC unit and Carl was honest in his evaluation. Told us we could spend over $800 to fix noisy fan but unit working perfectly, just louder then normal. He also took the time to show us how to check everything ourselves. Charge for visit: $0. Would definitely recommend to others.
Jeff was extremely quick to respond when I reached out for help with an issue with our garbage disposal. Carl then provided great service, at a fair price, in fixing the issue. I highly recommend this business.

I must commend Jeff-N-Carl for their professional service. Carl, did an outstanding job of diagnosing my air flow problem and mentioned that drywall would need to be removed to address my problem and he clearly stated that although his company would remove the drywall and correct the air flow problem that his company does not reinstall drywall. It was then agreed upon that I should contact my insurance agent and see if this is covered in my home insurance policy. But, what really stood out was the time and professionalism that Carl gave me as a client during this free inspection and I would definitely recommend Jeff-N-Carl to anyone that has any heating and/or plumbing issues.

I had a list of things I wanted checked (new-to-me home) and they gave me solid guidance on what could wait, what needed attention now. They even gave me a video of the duct-work situation in the attic so I could see for myself without having to join them up there. (I already knew there was an issue from the physical inspection report when I bought the place.) So it all lined up with expectations - wait, no...exceeded expectations in getting it done quickly, at a fair price. It's not fun to spend money on this stuff, and I appreciated the guidance on what could wait-and-see and was not likely an imminent issue, vs. what was a pressing current need for repair.

I have worked with numerous Plumbing N Heating companies through the years. After working with both Jeff and Carl, I have no need to work with any other company. Their dependable, fair, and get the job done. I highly recommend them.
Quick response. Great service. Every step of the way was smooth with Jeff N Carls. I was worried I would be over paying for one thing so I came up with 3 things and after the plumber came and fixed the toilet and said no charge it gave me a lot of confidence to have them look at the leaky hose bib.
They needed to go get a part and didn't charge me for extra time. Overall the work was professional and on target. They walked me through every step and let me know what to do if things go bad. Well done. I know who I'll call if I need anything plumbing related.
One star for the price, but you get what you pay for and it ain't enough to meet code. He did ask for a 50% deposit but California law stipulates that a contractor can only take 10% or $1,000 upfront whichever is less. He said they would start the next morning but didn't arrive until later in the morning a day after. They worked for a hour or a few then disappeared to other jobs, it took 6 days for a 2 day job. I'm going to have to assume that most of the other reviews here are bogus.

Some of the work was done sloppily. I'm also guessing that I was overcharged. When I called and said I had problems, someone came out the next week and fixed the problems. They said I have a lifetime warranty on the work so I can call again if needed.
Never heard from them. Their Yelp 'promotion' promised a response in 10 mins but ... 4 days later... I'm still waiting.
Editing from my first review! My first experience was not amazing as the initial visit we scheduled, the technician didn't show up until 4 hours after the scheduled time. (Which ended up being like 7pm). We then scheduled another time for him to come back at 9am another day, and he never showed up after confirming. HOWEVER! The owner immediately contacted us, apologized, identified the lack of communication with his employee, and rectified the situation. We gave them another chance to fix our sink, and they showed up on time with a different crew, provided updates as they were working on the job, gave us a fair price, and followed up the next day to ensure the job was done to our satisfaction. Very glad we gave them a second chance to show us that they are a 5-star company.
Jeff, Carl (and their team!) have been fantastic in triaging multiple plumbing repairs at our home over the last few years. As repeat customers, their responsiveness and service on every occasion was top-notch. Beyond their obvious plumbing expertise, they are also very kind, customer service-oriented people -- an absolute pleasure to do business with! I wholeheartedly recommend Jeff-N-Carl's!
Prompt, efficient service, price seemed a bit high but they came out and diagnosed/installed a water heater within 4 hours of my contact. If it's good and fast, it probably won't be cheap so pick your poison.
Jeff reached out to me to address my problems and after informing him about what had occurred we came to an understanding. I am very satisfied with the work on the HVAC unity and if I had called them back to address the toilet problems I am certain they would have gotten those sorted as well.

Had a significant water leak from our furnance/heater exchanger. Feared the worst. However, Jeff-N-Carl's were able to response quickly and clear the drain and fix the problem. Great work and honest.

We haven't had hot water for almost 3 weeks now. We had several plumbers come over who didn't know how to work on the tankless water heater's, but Carl and his team came over and finally fix the problem. They were polite, responsive, helpful, patient, and I would recommend them. I will use them again in the future for sure.

Jeff and Carl were amazing. I called them and asked them to install a slop sink in the garage.
They were very good at communicating their ability to get to the house. We had to reschedule once due to a job going over, but thankfully since it was communicated it was not a big deal at all!
They were on time, friendly, and reasonably priced! Final product looks amazing. They also even cleaned up with the dust pan afterwards because they had to remove some dry wall.
They take serious pride in their work and you won't be disappointed with their work!! I HIGHLY recommend them! I'll be back if we need more plumbing needs!!
I had a new refrigerator delivered and was informed the delivery couldn't be completed until the water line valve was replaced. Of course this happened on a Saturday and I turned to Yelp. I found Jeff-N-Carl's Plumbing and left a message. Very quickly I received a call back from Jeff and within an hour had a plumber to my door step. Although the replacement was more complicated than I thought it would be and it took a couple of visits - everything was completed great! Every step of the way Jeff was quick to communicate and insured I was well taken care of. I had the opportunity to meet Carl too and it's no wonder this company run by these two guys get such high marks. Five stars!

After a week of trying to get some help with our A/C unit, Jeff n Carl's came to our rescue. They arrived during the designated time and quickly got to reviewing our equipment. They discovered the problem and after reviewing with us parts needed quickly fixed our A/C. With the promise of hot weather always a few days away my infant and pets will stay cool thanks to Jeff n Carl's. Found them on Yelp and had them come in for new faucet installation. They were extremely patient and nice, we had some nice chats and they explained everything in simple English in good detail, which allowed me to understand exactly what they were doing.
They were also able to help me with picking out the right new showerheads.

Brian had come out and given us a quote, and had the parts needed to repair our unit ordered the same day. Due to Covid we did hit a few snags with shipping being delayed, but between Brain and Jeff we remained informed of what was going on the entire time. This is by far one of the best companies I've ever hired. The team that came to my house was quick, efficient, honest and kind of funny. They had strong sense of humor's and their problem-solving was beyond my imagination. They saved me thousands of dollars and charge me what I need to be charged. I will hire them again. We had two significant issues pop up within a week of each other--first our AC wasn't cooling (during one of the hottest months of the year), then we found a nasty leak in our bathroom sink. Both times, Jeff and Steve got to our house within 24 hours and fixed the problem the same day. The guys are knowledgeable, professional, and reliable. Steve was also able to give additional estimates on the fly when I asked him to take a look at a few things after he completed one of our jobs. Company communication has been fantastic, and pricing is super reasonable. This will be our go to Plumbing Heating and AC company moving forward.
They did a fantastic job replacing my heater. They were quick to come out and they scheduled me later that week. Very professional!
We needed service ASAP for our new kitchen sink, pipes, garbage disposal etc; due to 3 cancelations from a company we typically go with. I messaged Jeff n Carl's plumbing heating and air the night before and they got back quickly with an appointment for the next day.
Next day, Steve came to quote the project and install everything we needed. He was friendly and informative. Making sure we knew he had to chip away some wood to fit the faucet nut and why I couldn't use the decorative drain with the new garbage disposal. He cleaned up after himself, offered to take any trash from the project and made sure everything was running with no leaks. Our kitchen is finally up and running after three weeks, just glad they were punctual and didn't cancel on us.

The cleaning team flushed towel down the toilet. We called Jeff-N-Carl's and they sent someone out the same day. Steve was professional and courteous. He offered 2 ways of handling the problem and the prices for each. One was to try and snake it out with this tool, less expensive, the second was to remove the toilet and get it out that way. We could try the less expensive option and if that didn't work, no extra charge to do the 2nd option. Unfortuately, the hole inside of the bowl got scratched. We didn't notice it until Steve had left. I immediately called Paul and explained how unsightly it was and could he advise me on how to remove the marks. He said he'd talk to Steve. Steve returned a couple of hours later with a polish, drained the water and cleaned up the scratchs. Good as new. He was still polite and professional. We experienced true customer service. The company is Vetern owned too.
Carl was amazing from start to finish! We had a tricky situation with our AC and Carl was extremely knowledgeable and great at fixing everything while explaining what he was doing. Shortly after he left we had a little issue come up and I called Carl to let him know. He had already been at our house working hard for 8 hours but said he'd be back in an hour to make sure everything was in perfect working order! This is the kind of honest and quality workmanship everyone should strive to provide. So glad I found Jeff-N-Carl's for my HVAC needs, will definitely only use them in the future!
Our 7-year old HVAC air conditioning went down just before a heat wave. I reached out, they answered the phone immediately, set up an appointment within 2 days, and arrived on time. The problem was quickly diagnosed and repaired at a reasonable price. They were very friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and answered our questions honestly. No upsell or otherwise uncomfortable sales situation.

5/5 stars for Jeff-N-Carl's. We had a garbage disposal installed and some backwards plumbing in our kitchen that needed a new p-trap. We later had them install our dishwasher.
Joe came out and worked efficiently to complete both jobs. He's a great guy and has a great sense of humor as well. Unfortunately, the cheap plastic fittings that came with our garbage disposal had a slight leak. I reached out to Joe and he said he was going on vacation the next day, but he'd bring tools and stop by on the way to the airport... and not just that, but he was getting engaged the next day! I told him no way was he coming over or packing tools for his trip since the leak was so slight.
Joe returned after his trip to fix the pesky leak from the garbage disposal and found out a creative way to circumvent the cheap hardware that came with the garbage disposal. Amazing commitment to his customers!

Amazing! Quick and great at what they do. They jumped in and fixed a slew of issues that popped up on rental house.. Best part was me expecting a ginormous Bill and finding out it wasn't. They are so fairly priced and quick at what they do... especially given a list of problems to be fixed and what a plus they fixed both a/c and some plumbing issues in addition to other items. These guys go the extra mile and are trustworthy and super competitive in price. My new go to!

I called for a camera inspection and fearing thousands in plumbing fees to follow. Jeff was very knowledgeable on the phone - got us headed in the right direction from the get-go. Joe, assigned to the case, showed up early (called ahead), was ready to go, was EXTREMELY good at his job (experience shows), and knew his trade better than anyone I've worked with before. I really appreciated his professionalism, experience, and personality. From every interaction, I wasn't afraid I'd get ripped off on extra services I didn't need, and I will definitely use them again. Before the camera went into the ground, Joe already had an idea of what and where our problems were and, at the end of the day, our issues were NOT in the thousands, thank goodness... Guess what? Another contractor a few days ago was trying to sell us on thousands in plumbing repairs WITHOUT sending a camera down.
Experience and honesty goes a long way with me.
GREAT experience! I had been shopping for months and super nervous about having to replace my ac/heating system. Working from home now due to COVID pushed me to pull the trigger and decide to call three highly rated local companies. I wanted a veteran owned company and the found Jeff-N-Carl's. I got quotes from all three and let me tell you, boy do you need to shop around. The first two were fancy big local plumbing companies with white glove service and they charge a lot you for that service! When Carl came to house he was very friendly and a brass tacks kind of guy. He didn't try to up sell me on anything. I thought I would need new duct work done, but he said no. Ducts look just fine. He gave me a quote on the spot and explained the products he would install. I looked up J&C's plumbing license since they are so small and zero issues. Read all their reviews and the reviews of the products they would install. All clean as a whistle.
Carl had initially projected a day and a half install of ac/heating units. He and Brian got the job done in one day which for all of us working from home know how important that is! Carl and Brian were efficient and professional. No wasting time.
If you are looking for great service at a fantastic price, Jeff-n-Carl's is where you want to go! As a veteran family we really appreciated the $250 military discount too. Highly recommend!

The 1942 cast iron drain pipes under my house needed to be replaced with ABS so I requested quotes from a few different plumbers.
Carl showed up on a Saturday afternoon for a free quote. He was very friendly and crawled under the house to take a look and diagnose. We discussed a game plan and he quoted me a very fair price and scheduled a work day.
Carl and another plumber came on time to complete the work. We had originally agreed one wall needed to be opened and possibly an outside wall depending on the shape of the cast iron. Luckily they were able to cut and tie in to all the lines/vents without touching the walls.
They completed all the work in one afternoon for the exact price they quoted and included a 1 year warranty... Super happy with their work and will recommend them to all my friends and neighbors.
Glad to report that Jeff contacted me and Carl came back to fix the problem. It took 3 tries, but they did get it done. I'm glad they made it right.

I purchased a brand new water softener from Lowe's after doing a ton of research. I contacted over 6 plumbers in the area to see who could do the installation. Only 3 plumbers responded. One plumber offered a weird solution to get it installed. One plumber gave an expensive price and a stupid solution to get it installed. Brian came out from Jeff-N-Carl's Plumbing and he immediately gave the best solution to tackle the problem. I hired them and set a date a week later. Carl and Brian came out and found an even better solution to install it! Initially, we thought we'd have to run pipes along our garage walls. Brian found the pipe to tap into inside the wall and so it was done right and without any pipes exposed. Brian and Carl did an outstanding job getting the job done and I'm very pleased with their work. Now we have soft water and very happy. Thanks again, gentlemen!

I got a pinhole leak on a copper pipe above our bathroom ceiling in my parents' apartment in Oceanside CA. I contacted various plumbers via Yelp and Jeff-N-Carl's Plumbing responded almost immediately.
They are certainly the best service provider in terms of communication. They always called me back and responded to my text messages.
They got the job done nicely and they were very friendly and polite to my parents during the entire process. My parents were very satisfied and thankful to Carl. We'll be back if we need plumbing service and I definitely recommend their service!!!
Our AC works again!!!! Based on reviews they were my #1 choice. After I sent out my information to them, Yelp sent my info to other business and Jeff N Carl we're still the best response and one of the quickest. I was concerned with the heat and my daughters heat rash to flare up again. I am so happy we chose them and so happy to have my AC work again and happy toddlers.
Honest, reliable, and super helpful. We weren't able to complete the job at the time, because of an HOA issue, unrelated to Jeff and Carl. They provided great info and i know I'll be back when the weather starts to warm up to get the work done by these guys. Thank you!

It's nice to find a service provider who actually knows what they are doing and is friendly and helpful while they are doing it. When the service technician from the power company installed the thermostat on our HVAC system incorrectly, rendering the AC inoperable and causing the furnace fan to run continuously, we called Jeff-N-Carl's. Carl himself came out the next day, diagnosed the problem in seconds and had it fixed within a matter of minutes. He then made sure the whole system was good to go and answered all of our questions about keeping the HVAC in tip top shape. I should mention that Jeff took my initial call and he and Carl are both as personable as they are knowledgeable. Great guys, great company. I'm glad we found them.

If you're looking for a/c repair you've come to the right place. Carl came to service my 15 y/o a/c during the recent heatwave because it was blowing warm air. I suspected (and was hoping) it was the capacitor, which it was, and Carl replaced it in no time; no fuss, no upsell. He got right to business and before I knew it we were cool again. I was confused about the cost of the repair but it was quickly explained and resolved. I can't say enough about these guys. They are honest people, doing honest work, the right way. I have to start by stating that this is not a review for services performed but that is my fault. This is a review of the people involved.
I scheduled this appointment but then found another provider that could come out sooner and forgot to cancel.
Carl could have not been more friendly and understanding of the situation. I would absolutely give them a call again when I have other plumbing needs.
Jeff is one of the more honest plumbers around. No BS. Also he's an active member in the community unlike many businesses. Honesty and involvement. A great combination. I would highly recommend Jeff.
Tiny hiccup in communication (phone #'s listed in Yelp and website aren't matching), then a call from the owner to set the appt. Was able to be out within 5days for a non-emergency, guy showed up in a mask, worked hard, was pleasant, effective. These guys even had a $100 for $50 special on Yelp, which I used on the spot.
Have been looking for a reliable, local plumber for a few months, and think I've found my new go-to. Give them a try!

We had them come out to unclog a sewage drain. They were here for about an hour trying to find out the problem. They then told me exactly what needed to be done and were upfront about it. Loved their service and I would definitely recommend to others.
Our tank water heater started leaking on 5/2/2020, and they came out to our house on the same day and did a quick fix so that we could keep using the heater. Meanwhile, they gave us a reasonable estimate for a new tankless water heater (Navien NPE-240A), and we decided to replace the old water heater with it. They came to replace the heater the following Tue, and it was nicely installed where the tank water heater was (see picture). This tankless water heater has an internal recirculation pump (with an option to install an external one). We've been using the heater with the internal recirculation pump turned on for last 10 days, and the hot water comes to faucets like it used to with the old water heater (maybe slightly faster than the old one). Although we had to fix some damage done to the drywall where the exhaust pipe goes up, considering how fast and nicely they installed the unit, they deserve 5 stars! We very much appreciated the work well done during this COVID-19 situation.

These guys are the real deal. They arrived on time, removed the blockage in our drains quickly, and charged the (reasonable) price they quoted. If we need help with plumbing problems in the future, they will be the first ones we call.
Plus, they are courteous, and good about explaining the problem as they correct it.

Great service and they were done sooner than planned. I had 4 heaters replaced and they were great, fast, and safe. I dropped the ball getting back to them about scheduling the repairs and they still got me worked in.
I highly recommend Jeff-N-Carl's Plumbing! My fireplace developed a water feature and had water running down the sides of interior fireplace walls. I shut off the main water line to the house and called Jeff and Carl. They squeezed me into their schedule and Carl came out in the afternoon to find the issue. Carl searched and found the pinhole in one of the main water supply lines to my master shower. He fixed cut and replaced the problem pipe and had us up and running with no issues. Carl was super friendly and was careful to prevent excessive mess when cutting into the drywall. I also found the pricing to be very fair. Jeff and Carl will be my Go-To guys for any future plumbing issues.
We had toilet issues and Jeff-N-Carl's was able to come out very quickly to assess our situation. They made a quick and trustworthy recommendation. (And the first visit was a free estimate...hard to find!)

Carl diagnosed and fixed a problem with my water supply that I have had for years. Many other plumbers have tried to correct the problem and failed. He also repaired a problem with my shower by sourcing replacement parts to avoid tile damage caused by installing a new unit. Super happy with this company - I called in the morning after having to shut off all the gas to my house because of a leaky valve on my furnace. They were booked solid but squeezed me in to a 6pm to 8pm slot. Carl showed up at 6pm on the dot and got my leaky valve sorted out, along with pointing out some other things I might want to do as I described a few minor issues I was having related to plumbing. Carl came out to install my central heat furnace in Lake Elsinore. I don't think they usually go out there but he came highly recommended and I talked him into it. I'm glad I waited for him.
My gas and electric bills literally dropped by a third. This heater will pay for itself. Carl showed me some info about high efficiency and variable speed motors. I thought he was pulling my chain, but it panned out. Quality is the best discount. These guys are top quality in their trade..
The water company contacted us and let us know that they went to replace their water meter and discovered that there was a leak on our service line. Our favorite handyman did the best he could on Friday night but....we were without water. I started contacting company after company with no luck and Jeff let me know that he also didn't have an opening. When I told him that I was striking out, he shifted things around and Carl arrived two hours later and fixed our service line!
Carl was personable, super nice, and quoted me a price that was very reasonable for the job. He fixed the issue and made sure that everything was running and secure. I will definitely use their company again, and highly recommend them!

Had to replace a hot water heater. I got to work with both Jeff and Carl and both are extremely nice and personable. I do have to go back and seal walls around where new pipes were punched through. It's not a big deal and I'm sure they would have done it if I had noticed while they were still here. Overall, I would use them again and wouldn't hesitate to refer them to friends.

I asked for a quote on yelp for a leaking pipe I had. Within ten minutes I had a response from Jeff stating he was unable to service today but he did tell me what he thought was causing it. And then proceeded to email me what I could do to fix it and where to find the parts(this was on a Sunday, early in the morning so I wasn't even expecting much responses).

Very quick response from Jeff, one of the owners. They give a 10% discount for military, first responders etc. An employee, Joe arrived within two hours. We had a clog in our kitchen sink. Joe called prior to arrival, was personable and professional. Got the clog cleared out and was on his way. A little pricer than advertisements on TV for clogged drains but worth the quick response and did not get oversold on anything. I would use them again.
Fast response time, came out same day to check water heater problem. They came the next morning with supplies and fixed the venting issue. Very courteous and professional! Would most definitely recommend!!
I contacted this company because of the 5 star ratings, I had Joe one of their plumbers come out to give me a quote on a tank less water heater and a water softening system. After having discussions, Joe told me he had to make some calls and get back to me with a full estimate. I should hear back from him within a day. I even had the owner contact me via Yelp messenger to say he would follow up with Joe and contact me back personally. Well that has been over a week and I heard nothing from no one. With so much competition in this industry, you would think customer service is key to a successful business. Well without saying I ended up going with another company because of their response time and customer service, they showed me right from the start.

I'm very late in posting this review! Jeff and Carl helped us replace our truly ancient hot water heater last year and, while it wasn't an easy job, they stuck with it til everything was done right. They were responsive and got us a quick and competitive estimate (and even gave us a Yelp deal!). They were able to come out within just a couple of days, were great communicators and very professional. I can easily recommend them and plan to reach them in the near future about my HVAC and a bathroom remodel (additional review to follow!)
Update: Jeff and Carl came to do our HVAC check up and took the time to thoroughly inspect our original (ancient) unit and managed to increase cooling output while providing some basic information so we maximize efficiency until we need to replace it. They even looked at our downstairs bathroom, fixed a dripping faucet for free and gave a ballpark estimate for possible remodel work we hope to complete in the next year. Don't hesitate, call Jeff-N-Carl for your heating & air repair! We just had them come out and repair our heater. Evidently the circuit board went out on on 19 year old furnace = no heat. Carl picked up a new circuit board installed it the next day. A couple of years ago they came out to fix our air conditioner and its been working great ever since. They were at our house within hours of my call both times - they're friendly, professional, very knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend you give them a call!
We are so pleased with our recent interaction with these guys. Carl came to do a free evaluation in response to our concern about a noise our 30 year old furnace has been making. We were not getting hot air from the furnace nor hot water in the house, both failing within a 24 hr period. Carl was able to make room for us the same day and even though he didn't start until late afternoon was able to get hot water working again. The furnace he had to pickup a part for and when he came back took care of the issue promptly. Price was fair and quality of service was excellent.

I actually found Jeff-N-Carl's here on Yelp. I read every one of their reviews, and took the next step by giving them a call. We try to support local businesses and Veterans and they were both! I spoke with Jeff, and Carl (who Jeff claim's is not quite as good looking ) came out to take at look at what we had. We told him what we wanted in a system, and we had an estimate a few days later. They were honest and trustworthy. When Carl installed our furnace he found a defect in the pipe hidden above the ceiling. He repiped around it. I mentioned the pipe issue to my neighbor, who it turns out had exactly the same problem (a different vendor). So Thank You Jeff -N - Carl! We look forward to sending your referrals. You have earned it! ***Update*** We needed a NEST smart thermostat installed, and Jeff-N-Carl installed at no extra charge since we had recently had a new HVAC system installed. We probably could have performed the installation ourselves using the NEST online/interactive app, but there was one wire we did not have! Luckily, Carl did have that wire in his truck. Successful install completed. This company is dependable, prompt and very reasonably priced with high quality work performed. Another plus, our dogs like Carl! Carl came to help me with a clogged tub drain and decreased water pressure in a shower. I didn't know what was wrong with either and it turned out both were basic maintenance isses so a new shower head is all that was needed. Carl is very nice, skilled and honest. It was a pleasure doing business with him.
Seriously fantastic service and overall good human beings. Immediate response, prompt arrival, good communication and best of all: HONEST!! For starters, they come out and quote you free of charge. I asked if I could get same day service for repairs, no problem. They came out for what I thought was going to be an expensive fix. From what I described to him, he said likely minimum of $1500/3 days. After a quick inspection under the house, they thought it was going to be a leaky pipe behind wall, which was good news! Less expensive than what I though it was. They went through pricing with me, according to the book and gave me a quote for $600 and they could be done in a day. After removing the toilet, to get to the wall, it turned out to be a leaky toilet!! He came out and said you just saved so much money!!, I said how!?! and he told me what they found.... SO grateful! Will absolutely use these guys again and highly recommend.
Jeff and Carl helped us with a slab leak. What could have been a mess with cut drywall everywhere, instead turned out to be a pretty clean job. They were able to fix it without breaking through everything as originally planned. I also appreciate the time they took in explaining everything they were doing and what they may have to do (even though some was over my head I understood the gist of it haha). Very friendly guys and even though I hope I don't need them again, *if we do, we will definitely be calling them first.

Same day estimate & service was great. Bill was very pleasant and quick- it was later in the evening and rather than come back the next day he offered to go get the parts he needed and come back and replace our disposal. It was great to have the problem solved right away and at competitive pricing.
I live in San Diego a few miles from the coast so my house does not have central air conditioning. I wanted a ductless AC system installed in my house as opposed to a full ducted system because the ducted system would have been very expensive. A friend of mine recommended Jeff N Carl for the job. Both Jeff and Carl came out to do the job and installed the entire system in one day. They are extremely professional - the service was excellent as was the price. I highly recommend them.

First of all, I solicited three estimates from Yelp for the repair of my 30-year-old furnace. One company charges $95 to come out but they gave me a rough estimate over the phone that was $120 more than I, eventually, paid for Carl to do the work. They also intimated I should probably replace my whole furnace. Another company charges $40 to come and estimate but Carl (Jeff N Carl's Plumbing) came out for free and correctly noted that the gas controller valve needed replacing. He returned the next day (I had called late in the afternoon) with a new replacement valve and also replaced the gas valve and flex connector that had been overtightened and twisted. He was knowledgeable and pleasant as well as efficient. I am a licensed General Contractor and I appreciate a job done well at a reasonable rate. I recommend them to anybody in need of a great plumbing/HVAC contractor. I will certainly call them again if the need arises. Thank you, Carl!
This is the second time I called these guys, this time Carl said that he'll be here within an hour but he was here in 20 minutes. This guy was polite like I remember and fixed my faucet in less than hour. Then he checked the other faucets and even outside, where he found a leak which he fixed with parts he had in his truck. The price was more than right, I will recommend this guy to anyone, and he did it all with a big smile.

I called the company last week for a propane leak. Carl came out the next day. He worked with me to locate the pipe and detected the leak, capped the pipe and problem solved. Reasonable charge and could not have been nicer.
Carl did a good job for me. I started to repair a Moen shower valve only to find out I couldn't remove the old cartridge. He showed up on time and had the same trouble I was having getting the old cartridge out. He then left to buy a special tool that did the job. Everything works well now and the cost for the job was very reasonable. I recommend them for your plumbing needs.
We had not hot water coming through our kitchen sink. Carl came out and was able to drill down to determine the root of the problem and fixed it perfectly. We now have hot water! I would recommend Jeff & Carl's Plumbing to everyone. They are very knowledgable and experienced and it was a pleasure doing business with them. We will definitely use them for all our plumbing needs in the future.

Honest, standup guys that will not steer you in the name of charging you a few extra bucks. If that's a concern, this is an excellent business to call. You can count on them to assess your situation honestly and in a detailed manner, and they do excellent work. I recommend them.
We very much appreciated how quickly they responded to our need for A/C when ours went out at temperatures up to 115 degrees, They came as soon as possible, evaluated our 21-year-old system, and answered all of our questions. What we appreciated the most was their sincerity and professionalism. Every time they came they showed up on time, and they didn't charge us for an estimate. Also, they didn't try to add any additional charges in the end. You can't go wrong with honest, knowledgeable, hard-working men who do what they say they are going to do.

Jeff and Carl were recommended by a friend. They were great! They are professional, and reasonably priced. My backed up toilet now works great. I will use them again and highly recommend them.
Just used Jeff N Carl to install a new AC unit in our home. Very professional and affordable. We have also used them for emergency plumbing problems. They are quick to respond and always do a great job. I would recommend them to everyone!

So happy I called Jeff-N-Carl's Plumbing. I was so over having a wonky furnace that decided to heat some nights and leave us freezing others. Just from talking with him on the phone, I could tell he had pre-diagnosed my HVAC problem the minute I described to him what was going on. When he got here and checked the unit, sure enough, his DX was right on. At that point, I was so relieved that I'd called a knowledgeable professional, rather than the general contractors/handymen who'd been referred to me. Carl came early in the a.m. and had to drive all over San Diego to identify and find the part I needed (sun fades all the info when your HVAC is on your roof - go figure) and he didn't charge a penny over his original estimate for all his effort. Despite all the time spent looking for the part, he got the repair done by late afternoon so I wouldn't have another cold night. It was such a relief to have heat again! I then remembered that I had a couple of plumbing issues that I'd been struggling with, and Carl found both problems immediately (when several others hadn't) and took care of both quickly, saving me a lot of money. Plus, he has such a pleasant and kind demeanor that he was truly a pleasure to have in my home. Hopefully, my HVAC/Plumbing problems are behind me now, but if I ever have further issues in the future, I know exactly who I'm calling. I really can't recommend Carl highly enough.
