I highly recommend palisades plumbing. We replaced our kitchen island top and fixtures. An expert plumber was needed for installation.  Mario installed the new fixtures and replaced worn pipes and valves expertly at a reasonable price. We found our plumber.

I had an emergency plumbing issue this evening (Saturday at 4.15pm) and guests coming over in an hour. One of the team members (Victor) came out within 15min a of the call and solved the issue! Victor was very professional and took care of the problem. I will be putting this company on speed dial for any future issues. Thanks Team!

Our bathtub stopped draining. We tried to fix it ourselves to no avail. After reading Steve's reviews here we decided to give him a try, and we're so glad we did. He answered the phone on a Sunday and was at our house first thing Monday morning. He called before he arrived to let us know he was close. He did the job quickly, left a clean workspace, was very polite and wore all the necessary PPE. I am very pleased with his service. We will definitely use Clear Pipe again in the future.

Ray Mendoza is the only plumber we would ever use. He has done work at our homes and businesses and has always exceeded our expectations (which are very high). SER Plumbing accommodated my last minute call to the extent of even working after 7:00 PM. They made sure the job was done! Highly recommended.

I've gotten a few estimates for some work to be done outdoors. she'll back diagnosed the puritans gave the most competitive estimate.  The work done professionally, so I had them fix a Kohler lowboy that had a few leaks with both an inside gasket and a valve on the wall, both things I cannot do myself.   I'm so glad I used a professional as the Kohler parts I bought from Amazon both had issues.   I would not have been able to trouble-shoot the new defective valve.  

The repairs were done cleanly and David the plumber was professional and polite.

Had a leaking toilet valve/hose and called Andy from Peter Lai Plumbing.  He was tied up on a job in the morning but manage to get come and fix the leak in the afternoon.  Very professional and explain what happen.  Fixed it within a reasonable time and his pricing are reasonable unlike most companies that charges an arm and an leg.  From now on, Andy's going to be my go to guy when I have any plumbing issues. Highly recommend them.

Luigi showed up on 2 different occasions for me-- always on time, super knowledgeable, and super honest. Before I called him for this recent job, I actually had to experience two other ac repair techs, both trying to rip me off. Its really disheartening when you just want someone to be upfront and honest.

Papa's Plumbing was a wonderful company to work with! We had a worm crawl up through our shower drain (so gross!) so I knew there was a problem somewhere underground. Someone was able to come out the day after I called. Within about 20 minutes, Alex found the problem. When discussing options, they gave us 3 different options of what we could do which all had different price points, which was really nice.

They were always on time or a little early, always kind, and were great communicators. We will definitely be using them again the next time we need a plumber! I highly recommend them.

Tomas did a great job fixing our kitchen sink piping. He made some corrections to the original piping which was not done properly years ago. Very reasonable prices. We use him again for any other work needed around the house.

Highly recommend! Had a very slow draining kitchen sink, these guys were referred by a co-worker after I had contacted without success two other plumbers. Like they say third times the charm. They were willing to come out after I got off work at 5p without charging me a $200 emergency fee...ahem, Mike Diamond. They had to access the drain through the roof, but had it cleared in no time and for less than $100. These guys will now be my first call instead of my second or third.

Robert came out with 2 of his crew members to install a new garbage disposal and 2 toilet problems. Incredibly professional and friendly.
Using them again this week.

These guys are the best! Very responsive over phone and text, and very thorough when finding leaks. Super clear communication and explanation about the process and their findings. Lots of cool and sophisticated tools and methods for finding leaks. I've used them twice and have had excellent results both times. Hope I never have to call them again, but if I have a leak, I'm going back to them for sure.

Called DeVinney for an extremely urgent toilet emergency. The guys came down within 10-15 minutes and were able to help fix the problem immediately! I truly appreciated their attentive service and for helping us on such a short notice. Thanks DeVinney!

I called on a Saturday morning and reached their answering service.  I told the service that I needed a quote to snake my mainline, and that I urgently needed an appointment for later that day.  I waited two hours, and, hearing nothing, called again.  The answering service assured me that Jim had received my message, and that he would get back to be shortly.  I waited another hour, then called for a third time.  Again I was told that my messages had been forwarded along, and to sit tight.  I never received a return call.  I used another plumber that I found on Yelp, and he was fantastic.  If you want actual help, I would not recommend Sunset West.

Very fast and helpful. Solved our problems quickly and answered questions. I would recommend this plumber for household needs.

Thank you for proving my point! First let me say that the job and the price charged speaks for itself. Next, you contacted me via another platform and I have reviewed you on that platform as well, no where else.
1) You admit that I was quoted and charged for travel time to get parts, which never happened. The bathroom job was a straight forward stem valve replacement. Your plumber certainly knew that he already had the parts and didn't need to inflate the price to include going out for them. You seem to think that if you can fool clients into agreeing to your price that price gouging is okay.
2) Do the math. The charge and the time spent equal the hourly rate charged.
3) Of course you were nice. You duped us into overpaying you. I contacted you about this issue before reviewing, but you did not to respond me. That's how caring and professional your business is. In addition, just look at the invoice we were given (after we paid). There's no breakdown of parts and labor. How professional is that?
4) I'm glad that you've mentioned that you also tried to charge us a 3.5% credit card fee on top of your inflated price.

Original Review:
We trusted Michel and his business A-1 Apex Plumbing and got severely over charged. I connected with Michel through the app NextDoor. Michel lives in my general neighborhood. Long story short, they came out for two separate issues; to replace 2 angle stops in the kitchen (charged us $55.00 ea) and to replace 2 stems (leaky shower faucet) in the the bathroom (charged us $175.00 ea.), for a total of $460.00. When I asked the plumber why the bathroom price was so much higher than the kitchen, he told me it was going to take a long time to fix and that he might have to go out for parts. So, I trusted them, because Michel is a neighbor, and I agreed. Turns out it only took him 20 minutes top to replace the 2 stems in the bathroom, and he already had the parts. I looked them up and valve stems cost under $50.00 ea. So, if the parts ran say, $80.00 (that's a generous assumption), the labor charge was $270.00 for 20 minutes of work, or $540.00 an hr. MY BAD for agreeing. MY BAD for wanting to support a neighbor. MY BAD for trusting a neighbor.

There's an overhead sewer drain in our garage, which connects to the main in the wall. Another plumber claimed the run down to the main was completely clogged and filled with waste, and wanted $1200+ to replace it, as the junction was starting to leak wastewater into our garage.

I shopped around, and found Beeto's here on Yelp. Humberto responded to my inquiry, and came out quickly to snake and scope the drain to see if he could locate the clog. If it's in our unit, then we're responsible, but if not, then our HOA would need to have their plumber come out. He gave me a quote over the phone, which was incredibly reasonable, and was out that afternoon.

Before even bringing any equipment inside, we spent about 20 minutes diagnosing the problem, which turned out to just be in the overhead run in the garage. Snaking the line took some time, but before long, it was cleared and the scope showed that, lo and behold, nothing was filled with waste.

Even better, but he cleaned the powder room he was working in... not just with some towels, but actually used cleaning products to make sure the area looked pristine when he was done.

He also noted some serious issues with how the last plumber installed the overhead run (which was replaced in March 2020), which I now have to go after the other plumber to take care of... though I'll probably just get a refund and have Beeto's fix it!

I couldn't be happier with his service, and will use him for all of our plumbing needs in the future!
