Very disappointed,worst customer service I have come across in a long time.When they do answer the phone,they do not follow up or return  call regarding a service call they already  came out for & said would let me know following  day if they can get the part,now 3 weeks later they are still not returning phone calls at all.
I will say the plumber who came out was nice & helpful at the time,so I'm guessing this is more a management fault.........

Sunset West will be my go-to plumber from now on.  Their scheduler stayed in touch to let me know exactly when to expect the plumbers, and they were right on time.  They promptly solved the problem I had called about and also solved a problem I hadn't thought to ask about when I called to schedule.  The plumbers were professional and personable.

Oliver returned recently to repair two toilets.  The appointment made within a day after my request.  He arrived on time and quickly competed the work saving us money and time and eliminated the need to replace the toilets.  The is our second time using Sunset West Plumbing and we will call for service again when the need arises.

The plumber arrived on time.  He was professional and knowledgeable.  Fixed everything quickly and correctly.

They came to my place on 11/22/21 and replaced a plastic tubing attached to my water filter that had split and was leaking with a copper tubing. They were efficient and came the same morning I called.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!  If I could give them no stars I would.  Horrible service.  My problem was not fixed after two different visits.  I waited on one occasion for 3 hours to be told it was a scheduling mix up and I would need to reschedule again.  They do not answer their phones and just keep you hanging !  They accused me of not wanting to pay my bill (not true-never received the invoice) and accused me of lying.  Threatened to send me to collections and ruin my credit.  They are a nightmare and I hope they learn to be more professional with future customers.  I see now I should have checked YELP as they have other poor reviews that are similar to mine.

Could Not Have Been More Pleased with Service

After evaluating many options we decided on Sunset West Plumbing to help with with two large projects.  One involved the replacement of the main line value and pressure regulator as well as replacing all of the supply lines in the house and a week later we had Jay and Garret install a new 75 gallon water heater.  They definitely delivered as promised at the price they quoted - no surprises.  

In the future Sharon at Sunset West Plumbing will be the first call I make.

Jimmy and his team are fast.  We had a leak of one of our copper pipes and they were able to pinpoint it and make the repair.  The area was left clean.  This is not the first time we hired Sunset West and if we have any other issues in our building we will be hiring them again.

We've been using Sunset West for our plumbing needs and they always do a great job. We had been struggling with sewer flies during covid in our upstairs bathroom and needed help finding the source of the problem. They arrived on-time, found the leak and fixed it in under an hour. They were personable, communicative and left the area tidy. This is the only plumbing company we will use for our plumbing needs.

My sprinkler  PVC pipe connecting to the main split open and needed to be repaired as soon as possible since I could not water my yard during the current hot weather. As I have done in the past for any plumbing problems, I called called Sunset West Plumbing.
Justin set up an appointment with Oliver for next day. Oliver explained what needed to be done to make sure that I won't have a  repeat due to the high water pressure in my area. He replaced  the  pressure regulator for the sprinkler system, replaced  the sprinkler water turn-off lever and replaced the damaged PVC connection.
I will continue to call Sunset West Plumbing for any plumbing issues.  I highly recommend this business and its great staff.

Loved them when I used them a while back, but this time, they have completely bailed and not shown up twice in a row. No call, no explanation. I left a message after the first no-show, and no one called me back. I finally got in touch with Jesse, who had scheduled the first appointment they missed, and he scheduled another appointment, which they then missed as well. I called and spoke with a woman who was apologetic and said they would call me right back. No callback.

It doesn't seem like they I want my business, even though I would love to give it to them! The plumber himself is a great guy, super nice and capable, but their scheduling and customer service need work.

Plumbers left without completing the job, and I had to get them to return the next day.  They charged for that return visit (despite saying it would be covered), in addition to overcharging on time worked for the initial visit.  When I called to complain, they did refund the overcharge though. I also had their people out for an estimate again and never received the estimate, despite following up twice.

We have used Sunset West Plumbing in the past and the service and prices were great. I sent an email asking how much it would cost to snake one side of my house. No response, so a couple days later I called around noon. No answer so I left a voicemail. Never got a response. So moving on.

This company was really great. I needed a plumber ASAP and they were able to send someone within a couple of hours. The plumber was very professional and fixed all the issues properly. I would highly recommend them.

Don't believe the 24 hour service advertisement, all you'll get is a RUDE operator and NO call back even after FOUR calls to them.

I just moved into my first home and Narciso at this company saved the day on a weekend too

My sewer line had backed up due to root ingress and years of deferred maintenance. It was almost completely blocked. Toilets and showers were unusable.

Narciso worked non stop and didn't give up. It was tough work and they had great equipment. He located the sewer lines and attacked the blockage from both ends and eventually got the years and years of roots removed.

He then put a camera down the line to check for damage and to make sure everything was clear.

He was very nice, efficient and neat. They also repaired a leaky valve on the toilet.

Bye zero stars. Called them this am at 7 with a serious emergency and they said they would get to me ASAP, called me 15 minutes later and said they were coming between 9 and 9:30. It's now 8:40 and they said they can't come because a truck broke down and they're canceling a lot of appointments but it sounds like my situation is serious. Now I have to start at square one when I could have spent that almost 2 hours getting someone else in. I relied on their word. If you can't rely on a plumber for a serious emergency then what's the point of ever calling them to do work?

Don't bother!  I wanted to try a local business so tried calling them 3 times today (Thursday) during work hours.  No one answers the phone and there is no answering machine.

Called and left my information with them more than a week ago. Still no returned call. I reached out to Lords of Plumbing who promptly got back to me and resolved my issue.

Called a bunch of plumbers early on a Tuesday morning due to a leak in my rental unit that needed immediate attention. No one answered until I called sunset west which immediately answered.  They were able to arrange for a plumber to come that morning. When I needed to reach them to give them additional instructions for entering the unit, they were always available.

When the plumber was working there, he called me each time he had a question or wanted to know if I wanted him to do additional work. I appreciated this as it allowed me to stay involved and make the decisions necessary. The work was done timely and well so far.

We will definitely consider using sunset west for any of our future plumbing problems. But hopefully we won't have any any time soon! Lol. Hahaha. Thanks!

I've used this company a few times, and the first time I used them they were great, but now it's poorly run. I booked a plumber last Wednesday, they told me they couldn't be here till Monday, then didn't show or call. I called them this morning to see what happened, they had no answer for that but rescheduled for later today. After nearly a week, they just canceled again! Terrible service. Also, last time they fixed my toilet they left the toilet wobbly and not solid they way it was. I would avoid this place. They know how to make an appointment they just don't know how to keep the appointment.

I am so incredibly impressed with Sunset West Plumbing and Rooter's services - after having worked with a bunch of different contractors throughout my home remodeling experience, these guys are by far the most professional and responsive (and actually nice to work with!) guys in the industry.

I've had multiple touch-points with the company (Jimmy, Junior, Narcisco, Jay) and these guys are seriously in the business of not only addressing your practical needs but really pay attention to customer service. They are always on-time, don't break promises, don't inflate prices, and are actually really nice people. It's going to be really difficult for me to find any other plumber I will work with in the future. And I don't say this lightly because let's be honest, the LA market is pretty saturated as it is.

Seriously. If you're lucky enough to come across this Yelp page because your toilet or sink exploded, just give them a call.

The hot water in my bathroom kept dripping and it was driving me CRAZY, so a friend told me to reach out to Sunset West Plumbing and they were AWESOME.

Oliver came promptly between the 1 hour window I was promised (1 hour, what a wonderfully short window!), and worked quickly to solve the problem. Not only that, he walked me through the whole process, explained why I was having issues and gave me tips on how to handle some of the minor repairs myself in the future. Oliver was extremely professional, charming, knowledgeable and friendly!

I will definitely be recommending Sunset West Plumbing to friends and will continue to use them for any additional plumbing needs I have.

Wow talk about professional and fast response. Jay knocked out a same day project, my faucet is running perfectly now. Will definitely use these folks again.

I am a do-it-myself homeowner.  When my sewer main backed up, I tried snaking it myself.  When that failed, I needed to call someone who would be fair and experts.  So, I called Sunset West.  

Oliver called back quickly and we went over the problem.  He went over pricing and things he would try.  Price seemed fair.

He arrived, diagnosed, and started snaking the pipe.  While we waited for it to do its work, we started talking.  And I learned that Oliver was not only an expert, but he was also a really great guy, like someone I would have over for a BBQ.

He finished the job, my main cleared, and he said they would send a bill.

Oliver knows about true, old school, customer service.  This is the way every company should be.

I had a slow draining basin and needed a plumber. I called SunsetWestPlumbing and they had their plumber Jay out to my house the same day. He was very polite and left my bathroom cleaner when he left than when he showed up. Highly recommended!

Excellent service by this company to assist with plugged up drain and plumbing issues. Serviceman was terrific, knowledgable and the staff was very helpful when I first called seeking assistance. Sunset West Plumbers are absolutely the best! They are through and fast.. I mean the situation was ,my boss called Rotor Rooters..first mistake.. early in the morning when they discovered a pipe was spewing out water and they couldn't get it to stop... Well it was noon when I arrived and the the RR's called to say it would be another 2 1/2 hours till they got here.. I was like bump them I will find a place .. and just like that boom I found Sunset West plumbers I talked to Junior and one hour later they are here and 30 minutes after that the problem is fixed!!! That's what I call excellent customer service... Thank you guys again!

Great service! I called on this morning for an emergency water backing up issue, they sent someone to take care of it 2 hours later, so impressive!

We have used Sunset West Plumbing & Rooter twice in the last two years.  They just finished working on an emergency that started just before Thanksgiving, a gas leak.  Jay came out, assessed the situation, and identified the root cause of the problem... roots from the backyard ancient avocado tree.  They gave us a verbal estimate that evening.  Being a prudent shopper, I followed up on several other recommended plumbers to provide estimates and paid a leak detection specialist to evaluate the situation.  Not only was Sunset West a better price, but their assessment of the situation was exactly as the specialists.  

They quickly scheduled a team to do the work, and were onsite when the Gas Company came to certify the leaks were resolved and turned the gas back on.

I HIGHLY recommend their services.  Indoor.  Outside.  Water.  Gas.

What would make Sunset West five stars?
More meticulous office management: onsite booking/quote/billing processes.  They are not quick to produce a paper/digital quote stating what their services will provide, or if they are going to use a flat hourly rate.  And their billing can be erroneous.  The team is straight-up honest, so they will honor and fix any mistakes, it just means you need to work with them a little more closely than you might expect.

What a relief. I tried to install a kitchen faucet by myself and nearly broke my back just removing the old one. I also needed a new garbage disposal as well. I was in a pinch and called another company whose name rhymes with 'mutton'.

They quoted me $1500! It was outrageous and I didn't know any other plumbers.
I remembered years ago my parents used Jim Papik plumbing. I did a search and up came Sunset West because Jimmy Papik now runs the company.

My parents were on to something. Jimmy came over and handled the installation of the faucet and disposal easily and charged a fraction of the ridiculous quote from the other plumber. Service and price are excellent here.

I was able to make a same day appointment and the service was impeccable, I would definitely use their service again.

These guys are very good. I called late on a Friday night (~10pm) with a severely backed up kitchen sink. They picked up right away and came over the next morning and fixed the sink right away for me. Narciso was very professional, courteous and punctual. Would use them again.

My place is about sixty years old and showing it. I can do some maintenance but recently I had to bite the bullet and hire a plumber. I picked Sunset West because it was close to home and had good reviews which appeared genuine rather than manufactured. Set a time between 2 and 4 p.m. and waited with some trepidation. I figured whomever arrived would probably show up around three or so.

The doorbell rang at 2:03 p.m.

Oliver was the fellow who'd been assigned my case. I explained to him that I had a blocked bathroom sink and tub that hadn't been used in ages and, if he was up for it, that I needed a few other things done as well. He was more than willing to fix the other problems even though Sunset West's website did not list them as services performed. Off to a great start as far as I was concerned. So far, so good.

Unclogging the bathroom sink took a little time but ended up(Through no fault of Oliver's, but of the vagaries of sixty year old plumbing) causing my downstairs' neighbor's sink to back up and flood as well. I asked Oliver if he wouldn't mind taking care of her first and that I'd pay. He was able to fix her problem in a little under a half hour and now my neighbor doesn't resent me. So far, so great!

Once both sinks were taken care of he moved on to the bathtub. This turned out to be a problem, again due to sixty year old plumbing. Oliver proceeded to draw diagrams explaining what the problem was, and we headed up to the roof of my place to see if he could snake through the vents up there but it turned out it wasn't doable. We'd have to go through the wall to get to the pipes themselves. I asked him if he new a contractor he could recommend and he replied he could do it himself and take care of the drywall and plastering. So far, so fantastic!

All in all, took about three hours, far less time than I expected, even with the fact there's still work to be done. I am more than confident next week I'll finally have a working bathtub after four years of having to use my other shower. I'm going to make a point to ask for Oliver again when I make the appointment. Fellow was old school competence, total class act. Can't recommend him enough and consider him extremely trustworthy. Pricing was pretty reasonable and I look forward to hiring this company again. In fact I will definitely now consider Sunset West my de facto plumbing service.

This company is awesome. I called with my issue which at the time was potentially damaging. They were able to get a plumber to me within 90-minutes. The gentleman's name was Oliver and he had a great deal of experience.  He genuinely wanted me to be happy. No up selling. There's a difference between this company and a chain. These guys care.

I had sunset west plumbing come to my apartment and fix my broken bathroom sink. I wrote them a check that day and was told I'd receive an invoice/receipt in the mail. I have been waiting over a month for a receipt and every time I call they say they will call back and never do. It is time sensitive that I receive an invoice due to my lease agreement. Please contact me to arrange sending it.

Oliver was on the job today! Showed up at the right time and worked efficiently. He was very knowledgeable and a wealth of information. Fixed one problem on the spot and ruled out all but one solution for the second problem. Accomplished a lot for a reasonable rate!

These guys were extremely hard to get a hold of. Then when they did show up,while they did a good job of measuring the never provided the quote. Why do all the work and then not quote?

Jay and Narciso came to my unit on Tuesday and helped me evaluate water that leaked from my upstairs to my downstairs, and the best way to approach a fix. The helped caulk all around the toilet, and the base of the toilet to prevent water from leaking in the future. They were both friendly, helpful and thorough, and I would definitely use them again.

Two stars for being non responsive. Never got a chance to use them. Called them on a Friday at 5:15 pm  and was told I will get a call back. They never called, even though the phone person said they work 24/7
I called Sat. at 9:30 am and was told they would call back. Never did.
The down time for me waiting around and avoiding my errands and anticipating a call back is not worth it. After researching Yelp and seeing such great reviews I chose this company. Go figure?

Cannot sing their praises more. I have had a total-and I mean TOTAL-nightmare trying to find good plumbers. I have had a broken shower for 8 months that no one could figure out. These guys were able to fix it in no time at all! They think outside the box and really do stick to their tagline 'No problems, only solutions'. Sunset West is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!!  They are honest, efficient, pleasant -- Terrific!  The only bad reviews are by people who were not able to get an appointment with them.  I can understand how they may be too busy to take on new customers because once you use them on a job, you won't be happy with any other plumbing service.  And a special thanks to Sharon who, despite being terribly busy, is always pleasant and does her best to schedule an appointment at the earliest possible time.  Believe all the five-star reviews.  After twenty years in this house, working with several different plumbers, some inept and some downright dishonest, I am so happy to have found Sunset West.

Outstanding plumber. On time, extremely reasonable, HONEST (rare in this business), polite and best of all, really knows his craft. I hit the jackpot when I found this guy. I would give him 10 stars if I could.

We are extremely pleased with the entire experience. I will NEVER use any other plumber besides Jimmy and his crew. Long story short, my kitchen sink was backed up and I called a big name plumber out on a $69 Special (Won't mention the name, but it rhymed with Pescue Booter). A $69 quick fix turned into a 5 hour, $2,500 up sell.

Called Sunset West and Junior answered the phone within 3 rings and jimmy was at my house within 30 minutes. Half hour later he had my drain running clean as a whistle for $120.

Just a bunch of clean, honest, hard working guys that know what they're doing and know how to fix the problem the first time around. If you're looking for the best of the best, call them!

I had Jay come and changed my faucets in kitchen and bathroom, he was really fast, and get everything done in two hours (one hour each time) And he also put grout on my sink, so it looks really nice. Great job, amazing guy, and will keep having him back!

My mother and I live in an old house that is beginning to have plumbing issues.  After having checked out Yelp, we called Sunset West.  They were very responsive and came the next day.  Oliver is the best!  Be sure to ask for him.  Two days ago, we had another issue with our 2nd bathroom, and called Sunset West, again.  Again, they were there the next day...Our man, Oliver.  As old as our house is, I think we will be keeping Sunset West (and Oliver) busy for a long time.

My clean out was overflowing. In my experience such an event is handled by plumbers trying to up sell me a variety of services before even trying to simply snake out the line.

Jim from Sunset West Plumbing was unusual in that he arrived on time, did what was promised on the phone, charged me a fair fee that was disclosed in advance, eliminated the overflowing, cleaned up after himself and was pleasant from start to finish. I am very pleased to have found someone I can trust in the future.

Overall they did fine work in a timely fashion.  We had them out twice.  On the second plumbing event, the billing got mixed up, and we had to phone them to sort it out.

These guys are often hard to reach and they're not usually fast on the callback, but they DO VERY GOOD WORK.  Back when owner Jimmy Papik worked for his late father, he came to our house once and quickly solved the problem: water was coming out through a wall.  He found it and fixed it.  Today, he employs a plumber named Jay who has the mind of an engineer: On two consecutive days I observed Jay figuring out solutions to a pair of non-routine plumbing issues.

I would give Jim Papik and his company 10 stars if I could.  
Had a leak in a brand new shower valve.  I called several plumbers; no one was able to determine the source of the leak.  Jim figured out the problem in minutes.  We got the part he came and fixed the problem.  He was reasonably priced, professional and honest.    From now on Sunset West Plumbing is the only place I would call for all our plumbing needs!!

I cannot say enough good things about Sunset West.  I had a water pipe on my side of the meter break.  LADWP never showed after many calls and LA Fire Dept came last night to shut it off. I talked to Sunset West's owner Jimmy Papik at 7:30 am and two of his people started work by 10:30 am. They had to cut out some brick.  They did an excellent job even putting in new brick.  Just an excellent job  - knew their job, courteous, neat and thorough.  FIVE stars plus.   Highly recommend.

I went on yelp to find a plumber on the West side as I had a toilet that needed a new refill and flapper valve replacement. The first place I called (that had a good Yelp rating) told me the parts alone would be $300 + labor which sounded crazy as I could buy a new toilet for $400 and parts were probably $25 on Amazon. So I called Sunset on Memorial day, someone actually answered and booked an appointment for 2 days later at 9:00AM. The plumber was here at 8:55AM and did the job in less than 30 minutes and it was about $180 all in. Here's the funny part, when I tried to pay they told me they would bill me. Never heard of this service in today's world. Honesty and trust on both sides. Amazing...I don't think I have ever said that about a contractor. Thanks again.

I read on NextDoor Palisades really great reviews about this plumbing company so I decided to give them a try.  A hot water heater was leaking, so I gave a call and they sent someone to turn off the water on the same day because I was going out of town.  When i returned, they installed a new hot water tank for me.  While they were draining the old one of it's water, I told them I was baffled as to why my water bill was so high.  One of them went under the house to check for leaks.  There were none.  Then they checked the toilets in the house.  No leaks. Finally, they checked the toilet in the guest house and found the tiniest of leaks they felt could be the issue.  What great guys that went over and above the call of great service.  They will be my go to guys for all my plumbing needs in the future for sure.   Can't recommend highly enough!

I freaked out on a Saturday afternoon when I noticed a drip coming from the ceiling on the first floor of our house. Called Sunset West Plumbing and phone was answered in two rings. (Had already called another place and left a voicemail for an emergency and  hadn't received a call back 20 min later.)  Jim called me within a few minutes and he was at our place within an hour.  

Jim helped find and fix the culprit: a split/leaking line to refrigerator under the sink. He also moved the direction of the line so that we won't bump it in the future and cause more damage. That kind of thoughtfulness is highly appreciated.

He also tried to fix our dripping shower head (cartridge replacement) while he was here, but didn't have the part bc our unit is old. Offered to come back on Monday. All of this within 20 minutes or so.

Overall:  Super friendly, kind, quick, professional, and personable. Seriously as good as it gets. (Have had poor and ok experiences with other plumbers in the area.)  

So grateful that we've found Sunset West Plumbing and will always call them first in the future!

I called on a Saturday morning and reached their answering service.  I told the service that I needed a quote to snake my mainline, and that I urgently needed an appointment for later that day.  I waited two hours, and, hearing nothing, called again.  The answering service assured me that Jim had received my message, and that he would get back to be shortly.  I waited another hour, then called for a third time.  Again I was told that my messages had been forwarded along, and to sit tight.  I never received a return call.  I used another plumber that I found on Yelp, and he was fantastic.  If you want actual help, I would not recommend Sunset West.

Jay right away knew what the problem was, he was very professional, honest, I will definitely call them again.

I've used Sunset West a couple times, but that was when Jim, the owner was out doing the calls.  Last week Sunset West no-showed an appointment.  They had given me a two-hour window, and when it was past the window time period, I called them, but no one picked up.  I left a message, and now, a week later, they have still not called me.  I've called a few times since, but no one picks up.  I think it is possible that 1) they have gone out of business? 2) Jim, the owner sold the business?  So odd to just leave a repeat-client high and dry, no call, no communication - no care.  I keep thinking that their phone message will be changed to let people know that they have a family emergency or something has happened, but the message doesn't change.  I thought I had experienced it all with contractors, but I guess their world will continue to surprise me.

Oliver saved the day. Main line blockage. Heart attack for us as 3 level home and leaks from all 3 levels. He was there within 30 mins and sorted it out professionally and with humor which we needed! Highly recommend.

This is really a zero star review masquerading as a one bc of Yelp's requirements. Extremely bizarre experience. Easily the worst customer service I've ever gotten calling around. Asked if someone could come take a look at a leak. Was told by a very flustered sounding rep that no one was available until July 5. Understanding that I was calling the day before a holiday, I said that was completely fine. Then the rep claimed I wasn't in Sunset West's service area even though I'm in West LA / Palms / Mar Vista, almost exactly right where the 10 and the 405 meet, and directly in the middle of where they claim their service areas are online. She just kept saying yeah, I don't know why, but you're not in our service area. I really got the sense that she was hoping I would be dissuaded by the fact that no one was available for 2 days, and then resorted to lying about my not being in Sunset West's service area when that didn't do the trick. I rang this place bc I saw on here that my friend had used them and given them a glowing review a couple of years back, but evidently things have gone downhill since then. That or they are so successful they don't want any new business from Yelpers. If the latter, they should just come out and say so instead of wasting people's time. If you sort the reviews by date instead of just accepting Yelp's sort like I did, and also look at the questions asked, you'll see that I'm not the first person to get the run around from this business in recent months.

We used our home services warranty regarding our broken toilet. Service was not covered so and the company assigned by the warranty company was horrible. Found this company and within 24 hours this guy (Jimmy) was here. Cost was very reasonable. Of all the contractors that I have dealt with over the years, Jimmy was by far the most efficient, pleasant, and professional I have ever seen. Highly recommended!!!

Best plumber we've ever hired.  And reasonable, honest pricing.
We have Grohe fixtures in our master shower, in kind of a complicated arrangement, and after about 10 years, one by one, they froze up and stopped working.  I called a plumber I had used on easy jobs before (one I had highly rated on Yelp, actually), and he hemmed and hawed and futzed around; finally said he would price the replacement parts and call me back.  He didn't.  I kept calling him, and finally he said that the parts alone would run $1200, and he would have to cut a large hole through the tile wall to do the job.  I said fine, set a date, and he said he'd call me back when he had the parts.  He never called back.  I think he was afraid to try to do the job.  I got a referral to another plumber, who was supposed to be a cut above.  SAME THING -- he told me he'd have to cut into the wall; he'd call me when he had the parts -- then never called me again.  Weeks passed, and we needed to have our drain snaked, so I called Sunset West.  While Jim was here snaking the drain, I had him look at the shower situation, and Im sure glad I did.  He was familiar with the Grohe fixtures.  He got the parts right away, and called me back in a couple of days to come and replace them.  He did the whole job for less than the first plumber had quoted for parts alone, and he did NOT have to cut into the wall.  He had no trouble doing the job that the two other plumbing businesses were too scared to even try.

If I could choose more stars I would!!  This company has blown me away.  Jimmy and his team not only have timely and friendly customer service, their prices are fair and reasonable!  I found them after I was quoted over $3000 from a different company (rhymes with Ike Liamond Plumbing) - for what ended up being a $400 job with Sunset West.  I have had at least 5 plumbing issues since then and they have repeatedly shown up on time and had the issue resolved and FIXED within hours.  AMAZING!!!  I will be a customer for life!!!!!

Saturday night - company coming over - Labor day weekend.  Kitchen sink stops up.  I called several companies - only two called back, one was charging outrageous prices for coming out on a Saturday.  Sunset West called and the price was right.  Juan (J)  took care of the problem.  Courteous and clean - definitely will use again.

Fixed a leaking water main under my house without having to tear up my yard and only minimally had to cut a strip out of my sidewalk.  Fixed the leak perfectly and did a great masonry patch job all for a fair price.  (Had other estimates)  Would do business with again

After our longtime plumber retired, we  were in the market for a new one, but of course failed to do the research before it was an emergency! We called Sunset West to clear a blocked sewer line that was causing a back-up into our tub. They came out the same day and cleared the line in less than a half hour. They also consulted with us on an ongoing (less than urgent) problem with a bathroom fixture, and cleaned out the sink trap at no extra charge. We've found our plumber: we will definitely rely on them in the future for all our plumbing issues.

Sunset west plumbing came out and did a main line sewer cleaning, which they did well. However, I asked for the plumbers opinion on a slow bathroom drain and I felt it was diagnosed incorrectly leading to additional service and charge that did not remedy the problem. I am more inclined to try a different service next time.

Referred to Jimmy Papik, owner of Sunset West Plumbing, via neighbors in the Palisades. Needed someone fast as we'd sprung a leak into the basement. Jimmy was easy to schedule with, incredibly personable, great communicator, utterly professional, and nice to boot - great experience. He explained the fix required in understandable detail and also gave really good advice re: what to do with some other small issues we had, opting not to service some things where service wasn't required (which I appreciate). Relieved I finally have a plumber I like, trust, have good references for, and can call when anything comes up. Will be taping his business card over all the stickers the last few plumbers stuck all over our under-sink appliances... no one but Jimmy from now on.

So thankful to have found such a great plumbing company - I was looking for service in a pinch, upon discovering a steady leak dripping down out of a recessed light, from the upstairs level!  I quickly stumbled across Sunset West and spoke with Junior, who was super efficient and friendly with booking their first availability, which was the following day - this was perfectly fine as the dripping was steadily slowing down.  On the day of the service, Junior called to confirm the time frame and he wanted to check with me if it was ok that Jimmy would be running slightly late and if this still worked for me - I so appreciated the consideration!  Jimmy and his assistant arrived exactly as confirmed, and quickly assessed the issue - they went up to the second floor and immediately found the problem (very luckily only a faulty toilet supply tube).  They had to leave briefly in order to get the part (a longer-sized tube that they didn't have on-hand) and returned 45 minutes later, just as Jimmy told me how long it would take.  Again, I was so impressed with the consideration of a customer's time - this level of communication was pleasantly unexpected and refreshing.  Jimmy and his wonderful team are efficient, knowledgable, honest, and professional and the icing on the cake are their all around good vibes!  I felt lucky to have found Sunset West for a semi-emergency issue, but ended up finally finding a great plumber that I'm confident in calling upon in the future.
