I had amended my review (having originally rated this company with one star) to three stars; however, I am now back to rating it with one star.  I wish this were not so.  Despite the owner's initial attempts to make right the wrongs of his company, my 2 year-old Ruud 50 gal electric water heater is still malfunctioning.  I cannot get through one shower without losing hot water.  Both elements have been changed out, so I am guessing it is the anode (spelling?).  I have called the owner (who gave me his cell phone and said to call him anytime and he would make things right; however, he is not returning my phone calls.  I am willing to pay for the replacement of the anode (not covered under warranty) and have made this clear; however, he still is not calling me back.  I have now scheduled an appointment with another plumbing to finally get my water heater working. It seems ludicrous to me that a device as simple as a water heater can't be diagnosed correctly and repaired easily--again, this is a 2 year unit (with an 8-10 year parts warranty--how hard can it be?) i am confident the new plumber will identify and fix the problem.  I have no idea what the problem is with this contractor.  I have used his company before with no issue.   I guess it boils down to if there are no problems, the company is fine to work with.  But if there is something out of the ordinary or some incompetent worker coming to your home, you are simply out of luck, no matter what assurances the owner makes.  I am actually dumbfounded as this kind of treatment is new to me.  It is most unfortunate for everybody.

The paragraph below was my ORIGINAL review of this company (roughly around 2-4-20).  I then rated this company with ONE star.  If you read this previously, you might have noticed changed my rating to three stars because the owner of the company, subsequent to my leaving original review (don't think he had read it yet though) called me and said he would make it right with me (which he did by next morning replacing both elements for free) AND promised to make management and other changes so that this type of thing does not happen in the future to others. HOWEVER, because my water heater is still not working correctly and because he owner will not now call me back (even though I told him I would be happy to pay to have anode replaced).

I am leaving my original review below so that anyone reading this review has the entire story, from then to now anyway.  

ORIGINAL REVIEW :  purchased a new 50 gal. Ruud Water heater with 8-10 year full warranty parts (no proration) for $850 from this company on 12-23-17. Water heater wasn't putting out enough hot water for one shower. I knew heating element must be bad. Called Kooline (who sold me this unit 2 years ago) and they sent out someone (who was so incompetent, I can't even call him a plumber), who ultimately and finally checked the heating elements and determined one was bad. Said an estimate of repairs was in my email by the owner of the company. He waited at the door while I checked my email. Received an estimate for a complete rebuilt of the water heater for $750.00. I called the owner and spoke with him (Jay). I said WHAT? i have a bad element and the part is covered under warranty and you want to charge me $750.00 What? He said well, in cases like this we recommend a complete overhaul of your water heater, or words to that effect. I said this water heater is only two years old and I could buy a brand new water heater for roughly the same amount--why would I pay $750 because I had a bad element?. He kept insisting that was the charge. And then finally asked what do you think is fair? I don't know why he would ask me that but I said $175 should be more than fair for labor to change an element. He said well, I couldn't do that. I said, fine, I do not wish to do business with you.  This is a total rip-off., I will leave the appropriate bad review for your company. I then called Ruud and they agreed that this was highway robbery and I should never do business with this company again. I was also told that this job shouldn't ever cost more than $150, if that (labor cost only as part is covered).    Ruud is sending me the part for free and said it is easy to change out myself.  Ruud is sending me the part for free and said it is easy to change out myself and it wouldn't void warranty. That is what I will do.  Proceed with great caution or better yet, avoid this company at all costs.

Had our water heater stop heating and contacted Nathan late afternoon. He came out the very next morning at 7 a.m. before his scheduled stops for the day and was able to locate our problem which required an electrician. He is always friendly, personable, and quick to help. My go to plumber from here on out. Thank you Nathan!

We had to have the drain system in our home replaced due to breakage (it was cast iron). We understood from the onset that it would require ripping out our bathroom. We hired a plumbing company to jackhammer the slab and take care of it. But we still needed to have our bathroom put back. Enter Vlad. From the onset it was not a small job, as you can see from the photos. Vlad was undaunted and let us know exactly what he could do for us. He made suggestions and recommendations that helped us pick out our new materials. Older homes like ours can always pose challenges and that was definitely the case here. But Vlad worked diligently until everything was completed. We couldn't be happier with our new bathroom! We would absolutely hire Vlad again for any of our contractor needs!

Run from these guys!  Bob no longer owns the company and it is now completely incompetent. Had a horrendous experience with a leak (still not fixed) only to learn it's now an absentee owner and even the plumbers don't know who they are working for and hate it there.

I highly recommend Reni Rooter.  My garbage disposal was broken.  I contacted Lorenzo and he was out the next morning.  Quick, efficient, inexpensive and very pleasant to work with. My issues were resolved quickly.

Been in my house for about 3 years and I wanted the system checked out as the house is 5 years old.  So of course they come out and find an issue with the capacitor.  Out of the 6 times that they have come to my house (other houses I owned), they have said that I needed a new capacitor either on the outside system or on the inside system.  Guess what happened this time?  I need a new capacitor.  So they tell me the price of the part and labor and said it would be cheaper to get the 4 year contract.  I did this with my other houses and I also did it for this time.  I also was told that the motor was leaking oil but it is running fine.

6 months later, on a 114 day in July, the blower motor locks up at night.  I log a ticket via the website at 11pm that night and get a call the next morning.  I get told that no one can come out till 5 days cause they are busy.  Wait, but I am not a higher priority since I have a contract?  You would think.  I tell them if they get a cancellation, give me a call.  They end up coming out 2 days later.  I guess that is better than 5.  The technician comes out and tells me a new motor will be over 1k.  Of course I saved a lot since I have a service contract...Yeah (sarcasm).  Of course it is hot, and I am pissed, and I don't understand why the other technician that came out 6 months earlier could have just have it replaced then.  I ended up renting a portable AC for one of the nights and that didn't work.  So the next night I take the family to a hotel.  Of course I have to take time off so that pissed me off even more.  I was just irritated about the whole thing.  Then we get told he might not be able to come out till the afternoon the next day.  At this point, I say what ever.

The next day arrives and I get a call 8am in the morning.  Woohoo, they can fix it right now.  He get's out there and pops it in.  Yes, finally we get cool air again.  

So this review would be a 2 star if not for James S.  Even though I was livid and irritated throughout the whole process, he was very professional and answered all questions.  He made it a point to make sure we were one of the first customers that he had to service in the day.  I appreciate everything James.

The absolute and only HVAC company I would recommend in the valley. I called them Saturday morning at 9 AM and had a technician at my door at 11 AM and was cooling by noon! I have been high grossed by plenty of other HVAC companies in the valley that seem very secretive and do not explain the repairs thoroughly. My technician Adam Went over every aspect of my system in detail. Explained to me the parts that they check. At no point did I ever feel like he was misleading me or trying to sell me something I did not need. Was able to diagnose and fix the problem right away! We are back to cooling! Highly, highly recommend this company.

We had a problem with our disposal and called Kwik as a Wink for plumbing services. We agreed to put in a new disposal and this would be done the following morning.
They arrived, looked at the disposal, told us we did not need a replacement as he was able to get it working. He said the existing disposal was actually better than the replacement.
It was refreshing to have an honest and trustworthy plumber and would highly recommend them!

Kitchen sink was clogged Raymond arrived at the scheduled time.  Found a clean out on exterior of the house,  ran a snake down the clean out.  Great experience and will recommend.

This company is top notch! If you want the job done right the first time by professional and trustworthy people APES is the company to call. They make a great first impression and are knowledgeable. Each employee I encountered was professional and knowledgeable the owner was in direct communication with me to ensure everything was complete. They even completed the job three days early. In today's world it's very rare to have such good service. APES you're doing a great job you have a fantastic team of professionals who all seem
to enjoy there jobs. keep up the good work.

Just a little background since May 2019 we've have four different company's to our house regarding our ac. All four of those companies used bandaids to fix the problem and returned multiple times because they installed incorrectly the first time. I will say those four companies from the start you could tell something wasn't quite right and all four of them proved my feeling right they were all crap.
APES is our fifth company from the initial visit till the completion of job they have been the BEST! Good job you deserve much more recognition than this post.

Bob is an awesome plumber, has a fantastic attitude, is extremely well-priced, paid close attention to detail, and went above and beyond what was asked of him.  He came to my home this morning, joked with my children, did a fantastic job with the plumbing job, and even checked an additional leak in my upstairs bathroom.  I'm so happy I found him, I can't recommend him highly enough, and he will be my first choice in plumber moving forward!

Had a tub/shower with a slow drain. Contacted several companies. Water Heroes was the first to respond. Water Heroes came out the next day and had the drain flowing freely in under 30 minutes! The final cost was less than most wanted to charge me just to come and 'look' at the drain!
Definitely recommend! Always want to support local small businesses!!!

Les is simply the best plumber in the Valley. He knows the homes in MMR better than anyone I've ever met. There doesn't seem to be an issue that he can't fix. He's polite and efficient. You will not be sorry if you call him.

DO NOT waste your time or money with this company. Horrible customer service. Extremely overpriced. Very high cost ($80) to just come to your home for an estimate. They advertised in a church bulletin, too. Shame on them for screwing people. I regret not having the time to shop around. I got screwed!

Horrible attitude. Never been treated so poorly. Greg did work on my homes plumbing and when a home inspection was done for a sale several months later, a problem was found. Greg said he wouldn't have anything to do with home sales so I brought in another company to camera the line and then asked Greg to take a look at the video ( I wanted his opinion on what may be wrong). To say that I was not only surprised by Greg's reaction, but also felt threatened by him charging at me and cursing at me is an understatement. Later, when I thought he had some time to calm down I texted him again to see if he had viewed the video (he threw it when I tried to hand it to him).  He claimed that I had given him a google video, that he would prove there was no problem and  threatened legal action against me.  He then claimed to have offered to fix it because he said he would come take a look at it and therefore I couldn't contact the BBB or registrar of contractors. I ended up having the plumbing job redone by another company so I didn't have to deal with Greg again.  Most of this was in text messages which I still have.

Booked on Home Advisor. Immediately got a call to see if I would like an earlier appointment. God yes, please. Matt Dittrick came promptly the next day as promised. He was courteous and professional (and very nice) and when he was done I was very pleased.

Buyer beware, this business charges not by the hour but by the project. So if it's a small project that takes less than an hour they still charge an outrageous price.  It took two guys less than one hour to remove an old hot water tank and drain it.  This cost me $360. And they didn't even take the old tank away. Then a received a quote to have a new hot water tank installed. They came in a approximately $900 more than another company's price ....WOW!  I suggest going with another plumbing company for your needs, or pay up and give Yavapai Plumbing all of your money.
