I actually had a great experience with this company. A tech was able to come out quickly and fix my kitchen sink. Gilbert was very knowledgeable and thorough when explaining the fix I need as well as the fix he recommends. I ended up going with what he recommended & we are happy that we did. He was very professional and polite! He was even respectful and wore booties on his boots since we don't wear shoes in our home. I will 100% be using this company again AND requesting Gilbert as our tech.!

I paid for over a decade of maintenance contracts. The company has refused to do business with me and refused to refund my maintenance contract payments. They have open claims with BBB and attorney general. Do your research! I have been robbed for thousands of dollars and their response to the BBB was a prorated amt of $100 after paying for a 10 yr contract June 2020 in the amt of $1k and prior to their $2k all towards a new unit when the time comes and they refuse to provide service or a copy of the contracts. They actually told the BBB this is slander and i did not answer their calls while i was out of town as if they are my
Customer.

We were long time clients of this company - may be 10 years or more.  We trusted them.   We called them to send a tech to check out a noise coming from the moisture collection system installed in the A/C unit and they fixed that - no more knocking sound.

The tech then checked the motor and blower and said they need to be replaced.  These units are 4 years old and under warranty.  Precision wanted $1400 --for labor only -  to install. Technician then proceeds to open our water heater closet and look inside saying this needs service/parts replacement too!!!!

We called a second opinion Expert HVAC firm and technician said there is No Problem with the A/C motor or blower. Fan motor does not even require cleaning.

Be Wary of Precision.  Get a second or 3rd opinion.  We are never calling Precision again - they lost our trust.

This company is like a plumbing racket. They are only interested in getting your money and they are not interested in arriving when they promise. I waited all day for them and all they did was schedule a repair that they didn't show up on time to do. Now they are not getting the job.  These people inconvenienced me and my elderly mom greatly and I don't recommend you make a precision decision. Eric is full of shit. Julia was supposed to call me back and she went to lunch instead.

In late June of '21 I purchased (2) new, top-of-the-line Amana inverter AC units at the behest of my Precision sales tech, claiming they were the best in class, energy efficient, designed to work in the Arizona summers, and so on. I also purchased the PMA service contract with Precision to ensure timely, efficient and less costly service when emergencies arose.

Just a short year later, both units had completely failed.

As the service contract holder, Precision is responsible for diagnosing and repairing any sold unit under warranty, while the manufacturer is just responsible for producing known good equipment, providing troubleshooting support and honoring warranty replacements. Warranty replacements occur when licensed service technicians like Precision do their due diligence and properly (and efficiently) diagnose and request the appropriate replacement parts or units. My resolution unfortunately took (6) weeks to occur.

Precision initially (and ultimately incorrectly) diagnosed my issue as being a bad master control board, which is the same as the motherboard for a computer system. It operates the entire system. Without it the entire unit is a giant paperweight. These boards are kept at local distributors for ease of access, as well as just a state away in California where the manufacturer is located for overnight/expedited shipping requests for emergency repairs.

Precision made the critical blunder of ordering the replacement board from California standard freight shipping, 5-7 business days. The part was ordered at the tail end of the week, so I ended up waiting over (2) weeks for it to come in. Keep in mind this is the hottest time of the year with 110+ degree temperatures every day. The insulation only does so much without AC, and the inside of the living area was 90+ degrees most days. My family and my pet were distraught. No sleep, heat stroke issues, etc. We pleaded with Precision to do something to order another board in an overnight/expedited fashion, but they said we would just have to wait for this one to come in.

When the replacement board finally arrived, they attempted repairs with it, but only to find that it was seemingly also bad. Two bad boards in a row. What are the odds? Now, I come from an electrical and software engineering background so I know my way around machines and electronic components, especially advanced ones. In a situation where you have a system supposedly indicating failed master control board hardware two times in a row, your educated assumptions lead you to look at the ancillary elements of the unit and not just the failed component for other failures. I explained this to the tech, and they insisted it was just another bad board and they would need to replace it again.

Fast forward to week (5) of no AC. We've now attempted (4) boards, and all had failed.

After (5) weeks of failed troubleshooting attempts, they finally gave in and ordered a new unit, which is what I had been recommending and pleading for since the second failed board 4+ weeks previously. The new unit came and was installed about a week later and is now fully functional. (6) weeks of total troubleshooting time with no AC in the middle of summer.

Update: I worked with Drew, one of the service managers, to iron out some of the issues in a post-mortem fashion and come to a mutual agreement moving forward. Drew offered an additional year of PMA for each AC unit at no cost and was very apologetic to the situation and made some assurances that were appreciated and appropriate. What's the point in going through pain together if it's not something you can learn from and become better for? I will continue to use Precision as long as they are able to improve on their service. The moment that stops being the case we will inevitably part ways.

Had a feeling we payed too much for an hour's work replacing 2 capacitors and a switch on our roof a/c.
According to Home Advisor AC Capacitor Cost
The cost of an AC capacitor is typically between $9 and $25. Professional installation usually costs between $60 and $200. Replacing this part is a common AC repair cost and is often relatively inexpensive. However, depending on the type of capacitor you need, prices will fluctuate. Some brand-name and higher-end models could be between $52 and $175. Final costs vary based on the unit's model and voltage level.

We were charged just a tad over 900.00 . Get a written quote before dealing with these people!

So prices have doubled? We live in town, have a single story home with an a/c that's only a few years old- was it fuel prices? Parts price? Come on-

We had 2 new Trane A/Cs installed July 2021 by Precision Air. They came out at the 1 year mark and up-sold us an upgraded plan for extended service, $900. Our upstairs a/c stopped working on Sat so we had them out to check on it. Apparently we have a coolant leak in our Coil and they want another $3400 after charging us $500 to find the leak. ‍ at this point we're feeling pretty abused and would rather pay anyone else to fix this. Bottom line, these units are less than 2 years old, any issue at this age is either equipment or installation and to charge this much in labor is just horrible business practice. (Also they TRASHED our attic during install.) Keep shopping... they're great at the sale, but not great at the service.

Won't be using their business since they failed right from the start!

Called and Made my appointment for a new installation for a 3-4 ton unit I was looking at. Gave them all my info that was needed for contacting me since the appointment was at 1300-1600 they said they'd call 30min prior to showing up. I informed them that I just purchased this property and that we would be doing renovations before moving in so make sure you call.!

Get off work early to make sure I'm there by 1 in case they came early..started doing some renovating while I waited. 3.5 hours go by and still nothing, so I figured I'd call and touch base. Come to find out they decided to change the appointment to early this morning without my knowledge or approval. Not only did they not call but they took it on themselves to deem the house empty and do absolutely nothing. Doesn't seem so honorable, reliable, accurate or precise as they say.  As a veteran I take that personally because those are things I live by and being a man of your word goes a long way.

Looks like I'll be taking my business and some others with me.

After a rather chaotic beginning---I would like to compliment Precision Air and Plumbing on being professional, respectful and completing  our A/C installation !  They followed thru with Customer Service that went beyond the usual to accommodate us.

All this occurred despite, a rather testy communication on our part through out the above procedure and phone calls.  They stayed late and got us connected in well over 100 degrees to make sure we had protection for me (age 88) and numerous pets.  I wrote a letter outlining the procedure and stress ---with not expecting a reply and Low and Behold---I DID get a phone call from Manager Ray !!!  We had a very productive discussion, ending with the proper customer service you want to expect from your provider.

I would like to thank Ray, James (our tech who was here till late for us), the respectful Gentleman who initially addressed my calls (when I was not as respectful) and the Office staff who had to listen to me  and copying an entire AC manual that was missing for me!!!!  The 5 stars are for following thru thru-- maybe 4 for the problem

Very upset. We got a air-conditioning from them about 4 years ago. We thought everything was fine. Honestly we know very little about air conditioners how they work and what's in the attic. We noticed our electric bill keeps going up. We thought it was just inflation. We had a APS come out. They said the air conditioner was not installed properly. That it was a very poor job. And our ducts have holes in them. They took pictures for us. They said our our attic is actually very cool. I emailed precision telling them this. No response. I emailed them again. Three days later I get a random call from a man that says so what do you want to call back? . I'm like who is this? It's precision you said you wanted to call back so what do you need? I have never had a company call me up and not introduce themselves. I don't feel like they want to stand by their work.

I told the truth. I didn't need insulation per 15 other companies. I also don't feel like paying 100% markup on any product as you were the highest bid out of 16 companies. Your own employee said not to blame him, he's doing what he's told .  When asked, he said they're told to up-sell, which is fine, but not when it's based on a lie. They're also told of a client says no or they're going to think about it, hard sell using some phantom special that's about to end!  Again, false pretenses junior.  With everything that happened, it wasn't a surprise when your employee said this!  I already knew it and all it did was confirm what you are all about.

With that, you are barking up the wrong tree. I'll take this to the BBB we both know won't do anything except post, and every other online source I can find. My last stop is special. I'm going to file an official complaint myself with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. You'll then have my name, the ridiculous bid given to me, the bid for insulation my wife paid $1000 deposit plus receipt, and lastly, I asked a few companies to write a statement on what they saw after inspecting my insulation. Interesting, they all said the same, and one even commented about you and this company. You should have let a sleeping dog lie. My turn!!

Now, while I'm busy, I think it prudent, at least those with 'integrity' to respond to all the other 1 stars still waiting on a reply. You'll hear from me soon enough.
Ps. I didn't give my full name online for multiple reasons. Mainly because I didn't want to have your salesman reprimanded because he broke down and told the truth. In my line of work, I get the truth out of everyone no matter how hard they try to keep secret. Have a great day.

We have a new home and Ricardo came out for regular maintenance.  He found a number of things that were installed wrong and figured out why our three zone was clicking off and on. He found water damage, no float value and a kink in a tube. Their policy states if they find anything wrong they send out a technician, same day,  to repair the shoddy workmanship of the installer. Ricardo did an excellent job and we would recommend him!!

Preventatively replaced my A/C unit in March 2022, nothing was wrong except it was 20 years old and maybe not going to last another summer. but after they did the install 2/3 of my house was hot, while the other rooms were freezing.
Called a tech out who didn't even look in the attic, just told me I needed $1200 of more work done (adding a return and a vent to that side of the house). Then I was told the work wouldn't be completed until after summer.

I had another company come out and take a look - unsealed duct work as well as leaking oil in my attic.

When I called Precision back they said they will not send anyone out until September and that if I want someone else to come do the repairs I'm more than welcome, as well as there is never a manager or anyone higher up to speak with.
I paid $10k, and now I'm stuck paying $100 more a month on my power bill, plus a miserable house in AZ summer.

Mark F and Salvador came to my home on Tuesday, 01/25/22 to install a surge protector and write up the four-year maintenance contract. I explained that I worked from home and only had an available time slot from noon to 1p.

Mark explained the importance of the maintenance agreement and the surge protector they installed for us last year. They arrived at 12:10 p and were done within 20 mins.

I was very grateful for their timeliness as I just started a new job and they are very strict about the set in/out times during the day. Thank you for your service.

Back Story: Upon returning home from vacation, we noticed that our HVAC system was struggling to cool the house. After a day we went outside to find that the piping had froze and wasn't producing any cool air. After letting the pipes thaw, we turned on the A/C and it was working again.

Actual Review: This is when I knew our fix was temporary so I called Precision (based on reviews) and they came to inspect. They were able to come within a few days and after the inspection, the technician reported that our freon was extremely low, the water reservoir needed to be replaced along with some capacitors for the blowing fan. Well, the main issue (freon) was unserviceable because of it's older freon and it's not available anymore.

Of course, the technician pushed us to buy a new unit but rather than spend $10,000+ we opted for a fix that would get us through the summer, which was around $950 which included 24/7 emergency service and 4 years of annual tuneups. Being I was a little desperate and didn't do further research (kind of on the spot) I agreed to said fixes.

The Issue: Well, a few days later our A/C crapped out again and it was the same issue as before. A little upset we called the 24/7 emergency line (which we paid $500 for) and the person on the other end said they were backed up and couldn't help for a few days. Absolutely livid, we did the temporary fix from last time and got the A/C to work again.

The very next day I shopped around and called a certified technician from a smaller company that came by the house the same day, identified the main issue and was able to fix it. The technician even told me that those fixes from Precision would've cost about half the price from them. A little sick to my stomach, I should've known better but was just happy we have working A/C. It's been 2 weeks, the HVAC unit is working fantastic and (knock on wood) haven't had issues since.

Days after the 2nd service, I felt compelled to contact Precision demanding a refund for the portion of the contract that involved the future emergency/service tune ups. It's been almost 20 days since leaving a message with their business office and even left an email to no response.

Summary: Use Precision for basic tune ups of your HVAC and that's it. I don't blame the technician for the work that was involved, so for that I give them some credit. However, this company operates in corporate fashion and will take you for every single dollar and then more. There are far too many small HVAC companies out there with far more integrity than Precision Air & Plumbing. If they had any decency, they would've returned my calls/emails, so just goes to show they're in it for the money and not the people they service.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Found them via Google for a clogged kitchen drain and the website said buy one drain claiming, get one free for $69.95. When the technician showed up he told us it would be $400 to unclog the kitchen drain. When asked about the special, he said, oh that's another type of drain. Of course we told him no way on the $400... and we ended up having to pay $50 diagnostic. I could have told him what was wrong! We didn't need a diagnostic!

What a total rip off. Avoid this company.

I never write reviews, but this company is so terrible to deal with. They charge a fortune and they are not reliable. They had to come out 2 times because they didn't know what they were doing. Then they were going to have to come out a third time because they are so inefficient. They charged so much money and were not helpful. They cancel appointments they make and they can't get their techs out on time. Good luck if you try using them. Also, they have staff answering the phones who are clueless.

Read before calling
I had an issue with my AC unit it turned out to be the hard start capacitor I called precision air and heating on Friday night. They called me back Saturday morning and said they could be out as soon as the middle of next month because they schedule was busy. As we all know in Arizona we can't live without air-conditioning for a month being in the service business myself I thought that was a joke. They assured me theyCould relate to my frustrations I don't think they could. So I called cousins air conditioning he was out with in a couple hours and had me fixed up for just a couple hundred bucks that's an awesome company if you need air conditioning service call them

Have used Precision for two properties now, since about 2012.

Latest trip out from Andrea and Ryan (4/19/22) for a duct cleaning at the new property was great. Very friendly, gave me a full rundown of what was happening, and also added some tips and tricks for keeping the unit running effectively.

They'll be back in a couple weeks to add some installation to the attic. Thanks, as always!

Not happy. I had Precision out 4/24/2020 and paid $1343.84 to repair leaking coolant due to a bad weld on the  service port. It worked ok through the summer. This year, as it started warming up, my AC was constantly struggling to get below 83 degrees. I contacted Precision on on 6/18 to have them come back out. They informed me they wouldn't be able to make it until today, 6/21. Since I had already paid so much for repair, I decided I needed to wait on them. I get a call from them this morning (the day they're supposed to show up) and they inform me they are canceling my appointment and can't get someone back out until late July. My wife is 8 months pregnant, I work from home, and I am completely screwed here. It's 91 degrees inside my house.

I have only good things to say about my experience with Precision. They are not the cheapest, but you do get what you paid for in terms of customer service and peace of mind.

We purchased a 4-year maintenance plan with them in March, 2021 when they came to service our old unit. They gave us some recommendations to improve the efficiency of our home, but did not pressure us into upgrading that day. Our AC went out on July 9, and they were able to send someone out by noon on the 10th. Priority service because we have the maintenance plan. They were able to get the unit working again at 0 charge because we had the maintenance plan, and the capacitor was still under warranty.

Our technician, Joshua S, was super friendly, professional, and very clear at explaining the issue. Basically, he was able to get a very old unit working again to get us through the rest of the summer. He recommended we get a new one in the fall when inventory and prices will be more favorable. I felt very secure in Joshua's recommendation. He really put us at ease, so THANK YOU!!

Ryan and Ike installed our new AC system. They were on time, courteous and did a great job.  Both were very professional and thorough. Everything promised  in our earlier meeting with Richie was completed as promised and the entire install went off without a hitch. They cleaned everything up after the work was completed.  It was an excellent experience and I don't hesitate to recommend Precision Air to anyone looking for an AC system and this install crew for future work.     Stan

My sister Had Precision come out and install a new 2 ton AC/heating unit about 5 months ago in her Park Model. Now it's starting to heat up, her house wasn't cooling like it should be. Her neighbor came over and told her, she  was cooling the  driveway  really well. Went out side and the A/C was blowing all the air to her neighbors driveway and not into the house. Called the company on a Monday and they finally were able to come out on a Thursday. Keep in mind she is 75 years old and a female. Precision came out and said her ducts were rusted and had holes in them. When the guys who sold her  the unit 5 months ago was there he said the duct work looked good. Obliviously, he never bothered to really check it. Upon calling the company they said they didn't fix ductwork and they didn't do inspections when installing a new A/C unit. The person I spoke to named Drew, stated she would have to call another company to come out and repair or replace all of her duct work. This company took thousands of dollars from her, gave her  an excellent A/C but never bothered to make sure the ductwork was in place for the unit to be effective. This is shoddy business and the possible exploitation of an elderly person.

Worst company ever! We paid $15,000 for a brand new unit.. now two years later it broke and they won't come out! The tech cancelled on us after it was too late to get someone else to come out! Don't waste your money with these people and their so called service plan! The only way they will come out is if you pay extra for their $600 maintenance plan!!!

We used Precision Air and Plumbing for a few years with good results. However in recent times we have had serious issues with them. We have uncommonly hard water and they had us remove our softener and. replace it with another technology which did not do what they described and caused scaling damage. They took back the new unit but charged us to purchase and install a new replacement softener. I received no response when trying to reach out to Managment about rectifying this.

We gave them another chance when we had a leak caused by a hot water heater and humidifier hoping we could offset the cost of the softener debacle. Scheduling was a nightmare, they made a huge mess on our patio and although promising to clean it up multiple times still never did. I was in direct touch with service Managment and it still took weeks to get them out here to finish, and, the work area was left in a big mess inside the house

We longer will be working with them

------
The business owner commented below but Yelp does not show a way for me to reply. It simply is not true that the service manager was trying to reach me. I have his cell # and was texting about this for weeks without response over and over. I imagine you dont want to post that thread on here.....

Even if you were willing to come clean up the huge mess you mentioned nothing about removing our water softener on false information, causing scaling damage to our house and then charging us to put a new water softener back in!!

Cody and Anthony from Precision Air and Plumbing came to clean our ducts. They did an amazing job. Very polite and courteous. They were quick and efficient. They explained exactly what they were doing and each step.
They apologized that they were not able to complete the sanitizing spray as they are out, but the office will work to schedule that once the products are back in stock.
Great job, thank you to you both.

Update 07/23/2021 - I read the response from the owner below and a phone call would have been nice. The facts stated in the owners response is accurate. I have previously declined their Preventative Maintenance Agreement in the past and had I been reminded at the time of my most recent call that this plan is available to me, I would have taken it. Especially because I have used their services once a year for the past two years. However, I wonder if I was currently on the PMA plan at the time of my call on 07/22, if Precision would have been able to honor the 24 hour emergency visit due to them being down one technician who experienced heat exhaustion. I understand many field workers in this line of work have experienced heat exhaustion and it is not to be taken lightly. I hope the technician recovers fully. Please note, the technicians who've been to my home have always provided a great experience and they are the reason why I continued to call Precision for annual maintenance. The phone rep. that I spoke with yesterday did not provide a satisfactory experience and I admit, due to her lack of interest to my situation, I lost my patience. It is very hot here in Arizona and when the AC goes down some tend to loose their patience (as I did) a lot quicker especially while speaking to someone who expressed no concern. I apologize for using profanity at the end of the call. Going forward, I will simply no longer use your service, which based off yesterdays call,  I'm sure you as the owner and your employees could care less. BTW the call was not disconnected by your call center rep. I simply called her the B word at the end of the call and I hung up.

Precision Air installed my air conditioner for my home back in 2019. The initial experience went really well. I was under warranty for one year and I made sure to call them to perform routine maintenance which they did and it went relatively well. That was covered under warranty so the first annual maintenance was no cost to me. Fast forward to today (two years later). Precision came to my home 4 weeks ago for an annual maintenance (costed about $159). However, my AC went out today. It's about 106 degrees with 23% humidity. I called and explained that my thermostat nor AC unit was working. The fan simply would not turn on although the therm said it was on. A woman by the name of Tyler (or Taylor) proceeded to tell me that they had no one available until the 3rd week of August. She expressed no concern at all. Therefore, imagine my disappointment and worry. Tyler had no empathy or compassion and simply told me there was nothing she could do to help me.  I said ok, told her to have a nice day and hung up . Then I called another company. That company told me to call Precision Air back and get them out here to take a look since they were recently at my home. So I tried once more and spoke with Tyler again. This call didn't go so well. We were both frustrated at this point as Tyler simply did not care nor did she provide a decent customer service experience. Matter of fact, she placed me on hold three separate times without letting me know and left me talking to myself. I admit at this point I lost my patience with her as my house was very hot and she treated me (an existing customer) very poorly and honestly with disrespect. Therefore, I reached out to the other company (I originally called earlier) and they came out here same day. Apparently the evaporator coil needed to be replaced. I would have thought Precision would have noticed that 4 weeks ago during their routine maintenance. However, it's over now and I will let everyone know about the poor experience I've encountered today. Very disappointing.

I have had a rough time with precision air scheduling for my new ac unit and maintenance but I must say the service members who have come out to do the work are top notch.  They were professional, respectful,  and knowledgeable.  I had a lot of questions and they provides detailed answers and explain things in detail I wasn't sure about.  Recently I needed my capacitor replaced and Joshua helped us out during a very busy time in the valley.  We had the issue during an excessive heat time so scheduling was a bit rough but Joshua showed up and got straight to work to get our unit working.  Thank you Joshua for you professionalism and going over our concerns we had.

0 stars for price
5 stars for the helpfulness and customer service of the tech that responded
2 stars for response time

My AC unit is 17 years old but it only runs half the year because I have gas too. Anyways, it stopped working on 6/28. I contacted Precision and a day or so later I scheduled them to come out on their next available opening, which was 7/7. The tech came out and was helpful and educational with info on maintaining my unit and servicing it. The service was $159 and then to pour hose water on my compressor for 5 minutes cost $161. After that, the unit started but he informed me the fan motor was bad and would need to be replaced. He advised Precision charges over $850 for that, but the price would drop by 20% if I signed up for their annual preferred customer plan, which cost $200. And apparently the preferred plan will ensure next day service in case my fan broke, since it wasn't going to be replaced on this visit and he said scheduling it out would be a week or more. He then told me the run cap may have to be replaced which would cost over $100. I paid for the cleaning, cooling and the preferred customer plan hoping it would be worth it if I had to replace the fan, since I didn't want to wait another 1-2 weeks without AC.

I saw on his tablet that the $159 and $161 for the hose water compressor cooling was marked as non-negotiable by the company, so I'm not faulting the tech for those insane prices. And I'm assuming he's not at fault for the rest either...

BUT, after the tech left, I consulted with a friend who used to work in the HVAC industry. He told me the fan motor costs $85.00 and the run cap costs $7. That's $92 total for parts and service I was quoted at being just under $1000..... that is over 10X the cost for markup.... Which is shameful.

Moral of the story, I paid my friend the $92 for parts plus $100 for his effort and speediness to come the next day and he replaced my fan motor and run cap for me. So I paid $192 for something they were going to charge me about $1000 for..... he said an honest company would have charged me $300 TOTAL for the cleaning, cooling and the fan replacement. And I believe him.

I get big companies need to pay employee benefits and all the other business expenses... but a 1,000% mark up seems a bit excessive. And by a bit, I mean entirely excessive and they are just taking advantage of people.

WARNING: Do NOT use this company. I beg you to look at other options available to you.

BOTTOM LINE: If you love your children, pets, sanity, and sleep... DO NOT by any means use this company!!!! Please read on for details!!

6/21/2019 - Bought a brand new $10,000 AC unit (our old one was on the fritz and we have a 4 month old so we thought it would be a good idea to just replace it)

6/25/2019 - Brand new $10,000 AC unit is installed. Out of our house for 9+ hours, however this was to be expected. The installers kept saying 1 more hour for 3 hours in a row so that was frustrating. Later that night we noticed this brand new $10,000 AC unit was not cooling our house nearly as fast as our previous 17 year old unit.

7/2/2019 - Called Precision and asked them to come look at why it would taking 2+ hours to cool our house just 1 degree. I understand we live in a Phoenix and it's hot, but again our previous 17 year old unit cooled our house way faster. Some guy comes over for a few hours, works on some things and he's on his way. Says everything's good to go.

7/4/2019 - (3AM) AC goes out. Scrambling to get our 4 month old and 2 dogs out of the house and to a friends house. Keep in mind it's the 4th of July which we planned on spending with family and friends. We call Precision and they said they would have someone come out.

7/4/2019 - (9AM) Another guy comes over around 9AM and says the circuit board is blown. Says it's a holiday so they won't be able to get the parts until 7/5. Later that day the unit randomly started working again so we went home from where we were staying.

7/4/2019 - (11PM) AC is out again. We once again scramble to get our 4 month old out of bed and to a friends house. (of course she is an INFANT and was then up the majority of the night when normally she sleeps through the night)

7/5/2019 - (NOON!!!!!) Ok it took them until NOON to get this piece of equipment they needed to fix our AC. The technician told me when he picked up the piece that the one originally in our unit was 2 generations old!!! WAIT how is that possible since we just bought this $10,000 unit less than 2 weeks ago?!?!? And then he says if it stops working again, give us a call WOW!!! that sure gives me a lot of faith in this (not).

7/5/2019 (10:30PM) guess what folks! AC is out again!!!! Yep, our beautiful 4 month old baby and 2 elderly dogs are fast asleep and here we are again!! Scrambling trying to figure out what to do and where to go! Call Precision (btw it says they're open 24 hours but really they just have an answering service and you are at the mercy of them calling you back). They called back and said there are some other service calls ahead of ours but we are on the list. (that's great, it's only 80+ degrees in our house already, we'll just wait). I highly doubt and have ZERO faith in this company fixing our **BRAND NEW $10,000 AC UNIT**!!!

BOTTOM LINE: If you love your children, pets, sanity, and sleep... DO NOT by any means use this company!!!!

James Hatzler was my technician. He explained everything and showed pictures of work he did. He was on time and very nice. He would get 5 stars. The reason for four stars is that I had a scheduled appointment yesterday from 11 till 3 time span. At 2:50 I called because no ones had called or shown up. I understand people get sick and things go wrong but a call would have been nice. I have been with them for over 21 years.  Mary Henricksen

Suspicions Confirmed!

Follow up response from Contactor is a complete fabrication. Not only was the installation terrible and incomplete, apparently Dishonesty is Corporate Policy also.

Buyer Beware!

As for working with me to repair damage done to my property, I have not been contacted by anyone, with any resolution or time frame to address issues.

Additionally, after this unscrupulous follow up to my review, I wouldn't let them back on site to even repair the damage!

I'll be taking my business elsewhere,  and I'd recommend you doso also.

No need to respond further.  I have referred this matter to the Arizona Attorney General, Arizona Registrar of Contractors, and Federal Trade Commission to sort out.  I will likely additionally be filing with the BBB.  I am sure they will individually or collectively do the right thing by the parties.

Oh my goodness, these people are horrendous.  They can't make a six hour window to come look at an AC. They have now rescinded  my 2 free 2 year maintenance agreements. It's now apparent I was WAY over charged for the work completed but they left me no choice with no Ac and not being able to meet the time frames they laid out.   Have repeatedly ask to have someone with some authority, call me with no response. You can't make this up.  I have found them to be untruthful and dishonest. If there is a response to this review I can assure you it is wrong. I was lied to repeatedly.  If you call them buyer beware and it's a mistake.

I thank Gina for her response. While it is woefully inaccurate and accusatory I urge everyone to not use this company. You have options and this should not be one of them.   I wonder how they plan to deal with my warranty.  Could have been solved most likely with a call from a senior manager which i never recieved.  Guess we go to plan B

Had a minor issue with an AC unit that was not operating efficiently and needed some attention.  Since I have used Precision in the past, called them to have it repaired.  Their tech James was sent and I found that he was one of most knowledgeable and efficient service techs I have met in a long time.  He was able to quickly find the problem and have it in first class working order in a matter of 30 minutes.  People like this are hard to find and I can attest that it is people like James that make a company a 5 star operation.  Thank You to Precision and James for a job well done.

In December of 2018 we had them install a new ac on a 1100 square foot house. In the summer of 2020 when it got over 110 the house would not cool below 85. Precision Air came out and told us that everything was working fine and that that was as good as its going to get. Our tenant just called saying the house won't cool past 87 degrees so I called Precision Air hoping for a better result. The person who answered the phone was polite enough but did not disconnect the call when I said good bye. She was joking about us and told someone else in the office that tenant is going to flip out. We have called another company to help us. I'll let you know how that goes but we are done with Precision Air.

Whatever you do I wouldn't let Precision Air do ANYTHING.
Mr Bryan and his attorney who has threatened me with lawsuits 2x.
They both seem to have a problem distinguishing the difference between the truth and outright lies.
They claim that the Better Business Bureau and Registrar of Contractor's found me unsatisfiable.
The BBB responded to my request for such documentation that  Precision Air claims to have however, I have provided an email from the BBB that no documentation from them exists.
They refuse to remove this information from my review on the BBB site and demanded that I retract my reviews or they were filings lawsuit with Superior Court and there would be substantial financial costs incurred by me.
I urge other people to file complaints with the BBB and Registrar of Contractor's as they must be stopped and Mr Bryan and his attorney need some guidance regarding lying.

Precision Air & Plumbing came to our rescue after waiting for AC repair service from our home warranty for almost two, long hot weeks. We ultimately made the decision to replace our existing AC units on a Monday morning; PA was out that same day with an extremely competitive quote,  including a generous first responder discount, and were able to install the 2 new units the following day. The team of 4 showed up on time, were professional, personable and finished the job in one day as promised. They even vacuumed when they were finished - that made the OCD side of my brain extremely happy - which was a close second to having cool air again. We strongly recommend Precision Air to anyone who's looking for AC repair or replacement. I've also directly heard that they're very good to their employees.

7 years ago I got an HVAC system from this company. Two years in parts needed to be replaced. Every year I had them do a check up. They were always trying to sell me something. This year they came out and the tech told me I needed my ducts replaced and showed me pictures that they were torn. I find it interesting that the year before this was not mentioned. Then she said my capacitor needed replacing and she quoted me 375$. She never mentioned the part was under warranty.  I did not have her fix it because I wanted to research it. The next day I noticed the air conditioner unit outside was rattling and I didn't have that rattle before. Called and set up an appointment to have a technician come out. He was rude beyond belief. He told me it was the compressor and that it was rattling because the capacitor was not working right and I had been told that. I mentioned about the part being covered under warranty and he said only if it fails and if I don't replace it could ruin the compressor. Mind you this unit is only 7 years old. He then said we told you what needs to be done and you're not doing it and I said oh I'm doing it I'm just not using you. I found another company who said the part will be covered under warranty. I feel like precision has screwed me over the past 7 years and I would not recommend them

I don't think I can say enough great things about the team at Precision. Manager Jason & crew just helped me get through the nightmare of any homeowner: collapsed sewer line under our house. Our home was built in 1959 & didn't even have a clean out. Tyler was first to our rescue as suspicion started with our kitchen sink clogging. If it weren't for Tyler knowing that after snaking, the water on the sink needed to be run for a certain time, we would have never discovered the extent of water damage in our walls and more. Stephan then came out and he works SO hard. He discovered how badly clogged the line was and a cracked copper pipe behind our sink wall. Andrew, who is also a gem, did the camera scope and discovered the bad news. To have to tell a homeowner that their home is going to have to be cut, dug up, and partially, temporarily destroyed and is going to cost A LOT, is not a fun task (I had JUST redecorated), but Andrew is incredibly kind, thorough, comforting and his communication is stellar. Once all the concrete was cut, Stephan returned with his workmate Colin, and daily I was amazed by their tenacity, incredible hard work, and ability to problem solve (the pipes were not directly under the cuts). The best? Their personalities. Despite the debacle and chaos in my house, we were able to laugh, joke and they both were a delight. Colin is young, and I don't think I have ever been as impressed by a young man with his work ethic. I expect great things from him! Andrew also came back to take a look at our new softener and got it up and running correctly. Again, smart man with a warm demeanor. He makes you feel like you're the most important person ever. We also had Tyler back again to inspect one of the new pipes behind the washer. He is wonderful. Again, a team member who made me feel like the the only customer that mattered and his communication is top tier. I've grown incredibly fond of all of these hard workers. I trust them, they do an amazing job, kept me sane, and were with me every step of the way. The owner, Eric, made a great choice in hiring manager Jason, and Jason has built an incredible team of trustworthy, skilled, amazing plumbers. I cannot recommend this company enough. We have been customers (for air and plumbing) for 20 years and would  never use anyone else!

Had some hiccups with a major plumbing repair project due to original pipes reaching their end of life, but Precision Air & Plumbing has since made good, or plan to make good, on resolving the issue.
The contractors who performed the work were better than expected and respected my home during the duration of the repair.  I hope to not encounter plumbing issues for a LONG time.   My only recommendation would be to make sure there is good communication with the project plan from beginning to end.

I use Precision Air & Plumbing for my A/C repairs/maintenance on my home and rental property as well.  They will still be a company I recommend to others.

Absolutely the worst customer experience I've ever had with any company. First of all my time slot was 7am-1pm, he showed up at 4pm. This old man HVAC tech named Mark started the conversation by complaining about it being 140 degrees in the attic (no $&it Mark, it's summer in Phoenix and you picked this profession, not me), and clearly hates his job and did not want to do his job. Came up with a bogus estimate of $400 to change a fuse, and had the nerve to say it was so expensive because again it's so hot in the attic.... I'm assuming he knew I would never agree to that so I questioned him about it and while I was on the phone with customer service he stormed out of my house like a little baby and just took off. Customer service then tells me sorry we can have someone else come out in 4 days. Leaving me in a 100 degree house in the middle of summer with a newborn baby, a 2 year old, and 3 animals. Do not give this horrible excuse for a company your business. They, and especially the cry baby Mark, put my entire family at risk. Luckily I was able to get it fixed by an honest company for, you guessed it, $150.

They sent a tech out on the 23rd of December. He was here for over 2 hours trying to clear a kitchen sink that was clogged. He did not appear experienced in the field, he also was on the phone with the office getting instructions on what to do. He tried to snake the line from the drain under the sink and complained on how the line was a one piece unit and not the standard section install. I asked if he could install the proper drain pee trap, and he said he does not keep parts on his truck ?? I told him a hardware store was about a mile down the road, he said they only use parts from their warehouse, hardware store plumbing pee traps are sub standard. He tried snaking it from the roof vent and still could not clear the drain. The only problem was the kitchen sink, the other drains in the home were not effected. After 2 hours he said they would need to come back on Monday, the office was closed until then for the Christmas holiday. I would need to allow them to camera the line, there was a major problem. He also had some little vacuum for water, he used it to drain my sink, but it kept blowing water out the exhaust on my kitchen walls before he emptied it. He changed me 150.00. The next morning I called another company to get a second opinion and hopefully get it draining. The next company came out, snaked the line from under the sink, it cleared and was draining in about 20 minutes.
Why would Precision send a non experienced plumber to clear a clogged kitchen sink drain, why would they not keep basic parts on the truck, why would they try to upsell a camera scope when the next plumber just cleared it with just snaking it? Not happy, ripped off, and certainly wouldn't let them touch my A/C unit!

Update my service was on 12/23 on Balmoral Ave in Mesa, you were able to delete my review on Google, did you delete my service record as well?

The only big complaint I have is that they overcharge for air conditioning units by thousands . They always try to upsell you on unnecessary items like surge protectors for your air conditioners etc  . Saying something needs fixing and it doesn't . We will not be using them any more . Shop around  when pricing air units ! This was the exact same unit .  Just saying check around before making the decision.

I have use Percision Air twice now and have been extremely pleased with their technicians and their service. Today Manny suggested s protectors for expensive air conditioning units, something I had not thought about. No high pressure just letting me know the advantages of the protector. If I could give this company a zero I would.  Under no circumstances should you use them.  I purchased an HVAC system from them 7 years ago.  It was a higher end Goodman.  Within 2 years something broke and they had to come out and fix it.  It was under warranty but they told me only the part was covered and charged me over $200 to fix it.  I had them under contract to come out every year to do an annual check.  They just came out and the technician told me I needed a new capacitor which would cost around $375 for labor.  She also went in my attic and came out with a picture saying my duct was torn and air was escaping and that I needed duct work done for $3,000 dollars.  She was trying to wheel and deal me. She was also supposed to drain my water heater which is part of my contract and when I went outside there was no water anywhere and I felt she hadn't drained it.  She said the water dried up.  Another lie.  I called the company after she left to ask about the cost of the capacitor.  They said the part is covered not the labor.  I then said I heard a rattle when the air went on so the next day they sent another technician out to see what it was.  He was extremely rude and told me it's the compressor because the capacitor is bad.  He then said we told you what you need to do but you're not doing it.  I told him I was going to do it just not with them.  Today I had someone else come out that was highly recommended.  He confirmed that the capacitor needed replacing but when he called Goodman they said both parts and labor are covered under my warranty.  So I was ripped off 5 years ago when they repaired something and charged me labor.  I was furious.  I then asked him to check the ducts in the attic that I was shown a picture of a duct that had a large tear in it.  He videoed all the ducts and there was no tear.  I called Precision today to ask to speak to a manager to try and get the money back for the labor costs they should have never charged me.  I have yet to hear back from them.  I will be reporting them to the better business bureau as well as the Arizona registrar of contractors.  This company can not be trusted and is not reputable.

We called Precision after we saw the owner Eric on TV talking about his business and the special he was having. Leslie (the technician) came out and was awesome. She's been with the company about 10 years and was very knowledgable and thorough. She answered all our questions and was very polite and a pleasure to work with.....Will DEFINITLEY use them again

                    UPDATE!!
We had an energy audit done to our home....it is 25 years old and we knew we had some issues. One of the list of things to do/fix/replace was the hvac system. We called Precision again and they had an awesome deal going on! So now we have a brand new system at about  1/2 the normal price and the peace of mind that we won't have to worry about it! And it's super quiet!!
And I want to give a huge thank you to the crew we had...Awesome guys!! Mike S., Tyler R., and Bruce  you guys were very courteous and professional

This company sucks!  I called via their segment on YOUR LIFE A TO Z to have a service check done.  The tech messed up and a breaker by the unit blew and he never bothered to check it.  Then, he preceded to give a quote for a new unit, over 10 grand and CHARGED us without even receiving a new unit!  What the hell??   I was out of town and I told my husband no way, that unit does not need to be replaced and to call our credit card company because who charges before even doing any service??.  Sure enough, we had another company come out and it was the breaker!  Precision broke our unit!!  This tech said our unit has at least 3 years on its life.  WE SAVED 10 GRAND AND NO THANKS TO PRECISION!!  They may think about retraining their techs.  At least, we were not charged for the service check due to their fault and our unit was working when they arrived.

Where do I begin.  Basic call for AC. Main breaker keeps tripping. Guy comes out with trainee and inspects unit.  Finds that my crankcase heater wires shorted out. He cuts wires and it runs. Well around midnight my wife tells me the AC isn't cooling. I shut it off and checked. My pump was still running but the fan wasn't engaging.  Called them back. A different AC tech shows up with same trainee and inspects unit. After inspection he asks trainee what the other tech did.  After explaining he refixed what the first tech did but atlas my pump was burnt out.  I called home warranty to get it taken care of.  So I waited and waited. No calls from anyone. SoI texted the Tech and he pretty much told me that he doesn't have time to do his job.  My unit is over 30 yrs old. They wanted to marry a carrier unit to my 30yr old gas Trane furnace. The failed to properly inspect my unit and more than likely are the cause of my pump failure. I don't recommend this company to anyone.  Can't trust somone that tells me he doesn't have time to do his job.

When I do business with a company, I look for 2 things:  1)  Value for service or product provided;  2)  The employees and processes in place to make it a well run company.  Price is irrelevant if either of these 2 components is missing.

I have been a customer of Precision Air and Plumbing (PA&P) for 6 years.  Here's why:  1)  I get a 4 year service contract that provides real value for amount paid.  You have all had HVAC companies call, offering their yearly special inspection.  Then, they try to sell you something you don't need AND a multi-year service contract.  2)  PA&P does not operate this way.

Initially, our new home builder did not install the necessary components (capacitors and  other electric item to keep the HVAC system running for the guaranteed 10 years).  I had PA&P do the upgrade, which made a significant difference in the efficiency of our system.  One other time they made a low cost recommendation I agreed to, also  improving the cooling while driving down operating costs significantly.   The 4 other years they did a complete inspection and told me everything was fine.  Those inspections were thorough and included in the service contract, so I paid nothing.

Now, for the hero of the story.  His name is Cameron and he's a plumber at PA&P. Unlike some other HVAC companies, PA&P's plumbing service is all in house.  In October of 2019 it was time for me to renew my contract.  I also had a kitchen faucet assembly that was falling apart.

I called PA&P, explained everything, and they had Cameron here in under an hour.  When I called, the woman I spoke to about the cost of the plumbing fixtures and installation, said I could talk to Cameron as he could make all decisions on this matter.   Cameron came here and we decided to go for a major upgrade.  He went to 2 plumbing supply companies to get the components, and the total time spent on this project was over 4 hours.  He sold me the new items at their cost and there was no charge for the repair and installation.  This job would have cost us well over a $1200 for the hardware and labor if I had gone elsewhere.  Empowerment of employees is a big deal.  Cameron said PA&P management had a very simple philosophy:  People first.  He was referring to employees and customers.

World class customer service is hard to come by.  Precision Air and Plumbing delivers it every time.  Kudos to Cameron and the entire staff and management of this excellent company.

Great people have always come to the house. Professional and well versed - but they are way too expensive. While they will adjust their prices slightly if you as them, they are still substantially higher.
I was quoted a 3 ton 14 seer Goodman AC unit with 10 year warranty for $11,800 (which they adjusted down to $10,500 approximately.
When I called Reliance Air I got a 3 ton 15 seer Trane AC unit with a 10'year warrant for $6800 which also included a surge protector for the unit.
Once again - I wanted to stay a Customer with Precision and I believe they wanted to keep me as well but we were just too far apart on price.

It was time for our annual AC tune up, especially considering the high temps were expected within the week.  Our service rep, Ricardo, showed up on time and was full of good advice/ tips and suggestions to keep the AC running properly until the following year. A couple of our bedrooms are warmer than other areas of our home. Ricardo explained what might be causing that and provided the measures and costs to repair them.

These folks are good and know what they're doing, but the cost was out of line. The 1st numbers to replace the control board was $880. They did reduce to $708 when I said it was high but didn't include the $59.95 original inspection as previously promised.
Final take: good but expensive.

This company has treated me HORRIBLY.  I bought a new a/c unit and system last year with a one-year warranty.  The A/C stopped working properly within the warranty period -- the thermostat shows it's 84 degrees in my house, foe example, when it's set to 73 degrees.  I called them out to fix it and they REFUSE to do anything.  All they want to do is tell me I should buy another A/C unit!  For a relatively small townhome. I have been promised on multiple occasions that I would receive return phone calls, but they never come. This company is HORRENDOUS in my opinion.  Go somewhere else.  Please

I scheduled a service call for yesterday and Ken (only reason I give two stars) came out to look at our unit. He was very informative and diagnosed thru video of our unit that the issue we were having is with the compressor. It totally died and we need a new unit. Ken said that the next step is to schedule a visit with a sales supervisor (Mike, Don or Chad) who will come to inspect the attic, duct work, return, etc. Ken called the office and scheduled the call for today from 2-7 pm. 6 pm arrives and no call from the office or the tech. I called the office at 6:30 and spoke to a young woman who said that the tech called at 12:30 pm and at 6:10 pm and left a voicemail each time. I have been by my phone all day and have no missed calls and no voicemail messages. She said that we are still scheduled but since we didnt answer the phone we were bumped. She assured me that we were the next call in line. I called again at 7:01 pm and spoke with Kirby. Kirby informed me that he saw in the account that I did receive a call earlier in the day and that they left a vm. After explaining again that I had not received a phone call I was put on repeated holds so that Kirby could figure out the situation. He apologized that he was just now getting up to speed on the situation and that he didn't have good notes. After my complaint that I've been waiting at home all day, Kirby said he understood and that he is doing everything in his power to make sure things are notated in my acct. After angrily stating that the person I spoke with earlier had lied to me that I received 2 phone calls, I was put on another hold. He returned and said that 3 people actually tried to call me. I asked for their names and was once again put on another hold. When he returned, Kirby reassured me that I am next on the list and that the tech is in Glendale and would be leaving within the hour. That was at 7:08 pm. I said that by the time the tech gets here it will be around 9 pm. Kirby said he didn't know how long it would take and can't predict traffic nor when the tech will be leaving. I asked again for the names of the people who he said that called and he said legally he was not allowed to give out their names. I asked which law that was and he said he didn't know. I asked if he could give me the times that they called and he said 12:10, 6:12 and 6:31 pm. I never received a missed call alert nor a voicemail for the first two times and I have the cell phone call log to prove it. The last time was actually when I called Precision. I asked to speak to a supervisor and after a long hold, was told that there are only 2 people working right now and a manager isnt available. Kirby said he was escalating this to a concern call in which a manager would call me back first thing in the morning. I asked for the mgr's name and he said Vincent. He asked if I wanted to keep the tech tonight or if I wanted to reschedule for tomorrow. I asked for the name of the tech who was at the job tonight. Kirby easily and quickly gave me the name of Chad. When discussing the supervisor's visit today, I was told by Ken yesterday that there is no charge for the visit. So I asked Kirby if there is a charge for today's visit, and again, after another hold, he returned to say there was no charge for the visit. I asked if Kirby will be calling me to tell me when the tech is on the way and he said it will be him or someone else, to which I added that it would be the other employee that is currently at work with him. Meanwhile, I received a call at 7:53 pm from an unknown caller. Turns out it was Vincent who I discovered IS a manager but is NOT on premises. How convenient. Vincent was calling to let me know that Chad the technician was on his way. I asked if Vincent is the manager and he said yes. I shared to save him a call tomorrow, I have had a less than excellent experience with Precision thus far. He asked what made it less than excellent and I shared that I was lied to by the young woman and got the run around from Kirby. Vincent apologized for Kirby, that he was a new employee and that they have been the # 1 AC company in Phx for 7 years and hates to lose my business. He asked if we could still have the tech come out to our house today. After putting him on a brief hold, I thanked Vincent for his apology but I will be going with a different company to replace the unit. He was again sorry to lose my business but that if there was anything that they could do to let them know. I also shared that I would be telling the friend who recommended them to me about my experience so that she has a fuller picture of the company she purchased from. Also, WHILE I am on the phone with Kirby I received two text messages saying that they had tried to reach me but that they needed verbal confirmation to allow the tech to come. The timestamp is 7:57 pm. I think they were trying to cover their tracks to make it look like they had called me earlier.

Over the last 3.5 years, we have had both of our AC/heating systems replaced  at a cost of over $16k.  The last system was replaced on 8/27/19 and took 4+ days to complete.  The initial work resulted in an inoperable new system, and  the installation had to be re-done almost completely.  When the job was completed correctly, I was told by Precision's service manager that both systems would be covered for parts for  10 years as a result of the trouble we experienced. That same system(less than 2 years old) stopped working last week, and we requested a service call.  The technician came out and installed a 'hard start kit', which resolved the problem.  They billed me ~$300 for the repair.  Besides the fact the this 'kit' is nothing more than a $50 part (actually an additional capacitor with in-line automatic disconnect),  I did not agree that this is something I should pay for.  Wrong.  What about the warranty?  This is clearly a compressor problem, as the regular start capacitor tested out fine.  Very bad customer relations/retention at work here.  I'll take my business elsewhere and take my chances with my warranty,  which apparently is worthless anyway.  Be very careful when dealing with Precision.  They talk and advertise a good game, but actions speak volumes.
One last thing: I still have yet to receive a receipt for the service call, and have asked directly for it twice.

So appreciated Ricardo Cordova! I have had a PMA with Precision for years - and happy to continue with them.  Ricardo went above and beyond in terms of inspecting EVERYTHING, making recommendations, explaining things I didn't understand without being condescending.  He was very conscious of safety before entering the house & maintained safety precautions while here.

Not to be missed would be Michael Dozal, who came the following week for annual plumbing inspection.   Like Ricardo, he was great about health safety, very knowledgeable about everything, and very thorough!  I knew my water heater was on its last legs, and Michael gave me a couple of options, as well as understanding I would need some time to make a decision about that.  I called when I had decided and he came out within a couple of days with replacement - had it installed quickly and then checked every faucet to make sure I was getting hot water everywhere.

I whole-heartedly recommend Precision Air and Plumbing and especially  Ricardo Cordova and Michael Dozal!

This company was referred to me as an elite installer for Nest thermostats.  I was interested in a Nest smart thermostat to replace my old-school simplistic on/off unit that had zero programming functions or ability to interact with Alexa and the other products already in my Nest home ecosystem.  If you don't know, Nest products are very expensive but potentially worth it in energy savings.

I had already spent a discouraging half hour with a Nest offshore call center customer service rep, and I use that term customer service loosely, to get a compatibility report on wiring my system to their product, something they advertise as being so simple even a (whatever) can do it.  It's supposed to be a five-minute job to install their product.  The net result of my chat with them is that they didn't know how and told me I had to pay a professional installer just to come to my home to look at the same wires I already looked at and tell me if a Nest thermostat would work.  I fail to see the logic that a simple five-minute job could require an elite installer that I had to pay before I even knew if a device would work on my system.

But I already intended to call an HVAC company anyway to give my system a preseason checkup.  If you live year-around in Arizona you know that summer temperatures can reach 120 degrees and your AC can run 24/7 and the last thing you want is for it to conk out on the hottest day of the year so paying someone to do a preseason checkup is always a good investment.  Another company had already quoted me $38 for a full tune-up but they weren't Nest certified to advise on buying the thermostat so I did contact Precision Air to set up two services - one to advise on the Nest product and also to do a full pre-season tune-up.

Guess what?  You probably already guessed this because you saw that they earned a 0-star review, but the reason for that is that Precision Air ignored me.  That's right, even though they were referred as supposedly my best choice by one of their elite suppliers they couldn't be bothered to even take the time to call me back to arrange an appointment.

To me it is important when people check Yelp to not only read reviews about how a company or service performs a job but how they treat their customers before, during and after the sale.  And the worst of the worst is a company that won't even call you back to earn your business.

Oh yeah, one more thing, after this fiasco I contacted Nest's #1 competitor, ecobee.  I was immediately put in touch with a real employee, a senior technical engineer, at their North American corporate headquarters.  He asked me a few questions, and I sent him a couple of pictures of my system, and he had immediate answers - without having me pay for an elite installer.  Their thermostat is feature-for-feature almost identical to the Nest product and is a five-minute installation involving me connecting 5 wires to the colored terminals and tightening the screws.  If Nest wants to be in this business they should learn how from ecobee and not farm their service out to sub-contractors. And if they do they should choose subs who can represent them professionally.

James Hutzier was very professional and was masked and had booties on his feet.  He made me feel very comfortable right off. He did his examination of the attic and of the ac unit ,and then came in and explained everything to me so I could understand what needed to be done . I appreciated his professionalism and kindness, very polite , Not cocky. He was very proficient and timely with getting things done. I will use them again. Thank you, Pam Mc

I'll start with the company has great customer service, Unfortunately the units not so much! Extremely disappointed with the product. Spent $11K on 2 units 4 months ago. Downstairs unit has quit working AGAIN! (that's twice in a month) The new units are below average at best, My 25 year old units I replaced cooled my house better, the new units are not anymore efficient than the 25 year old units. Only giving 1 star because I had to in order to complete the review. Wishing I would have went with a name brand product.

I recently had my bi-yearly check-up on my AC to get ready for summer and had a very knowledgeable and extremely considerate technician by the name of Ricardo Cordova.  He was so considerate of my health by taking all the recommended actions like wearing a mask and social distancing the entire time he was in my home.  He actually taught me something new about my AC system that no one else in the 15 years of my association with Precision ever taught me before.  I was putting my filters in the wrong place in the unit.  I can't believe that no one else ever noticed that before?!  So thank you, Ricardo, for your service.

Never again. AC went out at around 6pm so I called Precision because their website said they offer 24 hour service right at the top on their main page. I was told someone would be paged and contact me. I waited till 2am then called them and their service tells me they are gone for the night they only work till Midnight. In the morning I complained and pretty much got nothing out of them. And their website still says 24 hours.

We just had our air ducts cleaned. This is a old home and it's the first time it's been done. The guy from Precision was here almost an hour and did 10 ducts.  Not sure how great of a job he did, but I can tell you he put half of or air vents on upside down and loose. My husband had to get the ladder out and fix them. Which is not optimal with his back. Precision .... not so precise.  Giving them 1 star because it's a Saturday and the guy had a mask on.

Gina B replied that you are responsible for any roofing issues/defects  after installation of the new system as the sizing of the new system  may be different from your old system.  We promptly responded to your call regarding your leak and sealed around the system for customer satisfaction at no charge.  You are correct that again we informed you that the seal may not correct the issue and a roofer was needed.  You will continue to have this issue.

1. You did not inform that the seal would correct the issue but told me that it would fix the problem and that I would not have the problem again.

2. I guess I screwed up and did not read the fine print that you are not responsible for any installation issues or damages to the roof that may occur when you install it.

My AC stopped working on Wednesday evening.  I have a service agreement with Precision and called to schedule a repair. I explained the problem to the person who answered the phone - the fan was blowing but the AC would not turn on.  I was told that they could come out on Friday !!   I replied that that was an an acceptable solution as I work from home and it was going to be 110+ degrees the next day. (Plus I have a service agreement)  After a brief hold they scheduled me for 7-1 the next day.  At 11:30 on Thursday , I called to see where I was in the schedule and  advised that the tech was held up on an earlier  job but would be at my hold today. At 2:00 I received a call  that a tech was on their way unless I wanted to reschedule. I said no as I had no where else stay and I work from home, plus my home was already 85 degrees with another heat warning of  110+ degree day expected  Friday.

Juaquin S. showed up around 2:45 p.m. He  was respectful, informative & knowledgeable.  He did not try to sell me anything and reviewed everything he did to repair my AC as well as that all other connected systems were working fine. I would welcome him back for my fall AC tune up.  Thank you, my AC is back and running in tip top shape.

As a side note, I did leave a message that night was it seemed my AC was running for a long period of time to maintain temperature. The answer service said I should expect a call as a tech was there that day, however, I never received a callback. I let it go as my unit is working fine today.

My Brand New AC from Precision Failed after 1 Year, They Charged Me $1,700 to Fix It

I purchased a brand new AC unit (3 ton, 14 SEER) from Precision in July 2018 for approx. $7,000. In June of 2019, 11 months later, it stopped cooling and only blew warm air. Between June and October of 2019, I had to call Precision out THREE different times when the AC stopped working, about every 6 weeks, and each time they replaced the same valve caps in the system, noting that there appeared to be a leak but the new caps seemed to have fixed it.

In November of 2019, the AC stopped working a fourth time. This time, the technician came out and said there was a small leak in a pressure gauge that had caused all the refrigerant to leak out, and it needed to be replaced (which meant tearing apart the whole unit). Even though the cost of the actual gauges were covered under the 10-year manufacturer's warranty, the total cost of labor, the leak search, and new refrigerant was an additional $1,700! Just 16 months after buying the brand new unit from Precision, they charged me $1,700 to repair it! And this is after I had purchased and then extended the extra maintenance agreement from Precision, or else the cost would have been much higher.

In hindsight, I wish I would not have purchased an AC unit from Precision, and I cannot recommend this company to anyone. I understand that things happen sometimes, but I cannot trust or recommend a company that charges me $1700 to repair a part on a brand new unit they sold me a year ago, after months of band-aid fixes. I suggest doing your research and finding an AC company that will stand by the units they sell, and a company that you can trust to make things right if there is a catastrophic and expensive part failure a few months after they sell you a brand new AC unit.

To be fair and transparent, I will say that most of the 5+ technicians/installers I have had at my house were all professional, efficient, and communicative about what they did. Precision did cover the cost of replacing the valve caps the first three times the unit failed, as they had been defective.

When you own a home and have to make a purchase as large as an AC unit, you have to trust that the company isn't going to take advantage of you if there's some kind of catastrophic failure or issue after install. Precision AC is not a company that I would trust to do that.

The best contractor experience I've ever had. Ever. I'm not sure I can explain it better than my wife just explained it to me.

Mike C. - The sales guy that came out. He was very thorough with his estimate, explaining everything that he was looking at, and why. Courteous, friendly, responsive, can't ask for much more.

Ryan - Not sure what his official role is, but he left messages at every step, explaining when people would arrive, checking on how things were going, etc. It's great to have someone checking on you, rather than you having to chase down appointments.

Michael G and Anthony R - The installation technicians - Very professional, extremely knowledgeable, even took extra steps to make sure our dogs were comfortable and safe during the installation. They went above and beyond during the cleanup and post-installation inspection, better than could have been anticipated.

I took estimates from three companies, and I could not be happier with the choice that we made.

My drain line was clogged, Chris Hill #467220 cut the pipe, cleared the clog and resealed everything. I've had no issues since.
Only downside, a little expensive, $160+, for a 45 minute job. 4 stars for a great job, didn't give 5 because of cost.
Overall I am completely satisfied. Job well done.

I was unhappy with the last HVAC maintenance company I had used; I felt that they didn't have the knowledge base to explain why they were recommending a particular rather pricey repair to my AC.

I reached out to Precision and they were prompt in arranging an inspection.  Brock who was the service tech that arrived was knowledgeable and friendly.  I signed up for the service contract because he was flexible in understanding and meeting my needs.

The only reason I am not giving them a 5 star rating was not my experience with Brock, it was with the person who answered the phone; no matter how much I tried to explain what I wanted it seems that other than scheduling a service tech they cannot explain pricing or triage needs.  Everything requires that you remain home for potentially a 5 hour window to discuss anything with the service tech.

BUYER BEWARE!! This company will treat you one way to make the SALE, but if you have any issues afterwards... good luck. They are awful!! How can a company that professes PEOPLE BEFORE PROFITS & INTEGRITY behave the way they do? It's all marketing. I have been trying to get a return phone call from these jokers for over a month. Trust me, they will do to you what they've done to us. Ignore you in the hopes you just go away. Promise to call... but never actually call! Disgusting. Take a minute and Google their name... they have hundreds of negative reviews. Their BBB rating is a joke and paid for. They reply with but we're number one with anyone who dares to call them out... with their long winded replies that never ever take responsibility. They BLOCK people on Facebook so they can't review you... they're the most shameful & shady company I've ever dealt with. Do yourself a favor and shop around. Just because you see them on TV, it does not mean they will treat you professionally. They spend all their money on those TV ads instead of taking care of their clients.

When these clever salespeople come to your home for your *one year check up* they will try incredibly hard to scare tactic sell you an extended warranty... JUST SAY NO! It's a scam..  their warranty is garbage and just major profits in their greedy little hands. You cannot cancel this warranty, nor can you transfer it if you sell your home. IT'S GARBAGE. They do not tell you this as you buy it of course.. and it's a few thousand dollars down the drain. All profit for them of course. They prey on the elderly with lies and fear. I can't stress enough... you are stuck if anything goes wrong after the sale with these guys.  They are all about money, money, sales & more sales. It's the biggest investment in your home... chose a better company. Precision Air will be the worst mistake you can make.

Two years ago they came when I needed them because my air was dead, they fixed a dead cap but then told me there was a leak and I'd need a new system for $6K.  I had a second opinion done by another company (Integrity Air, certified by Rosie On The House) and he said the Freon was probably low from years of A/C techs hooking up their equipment for my annual inspections and a little leaked out each time.  He said he couldn't find any evidence of a leak.  This was after I had paid over $300 for Precision to do a leak test which consisted of going up in the attic for about 4 minutes and making some beeping sounds....at that rate those tests are apparently $4500 per hour!.  I'll never use Precision again.

UPDATE 2 years later... The system that these con-artists said needed replacing is still working great.

UPDATE 3 years later...  The system that 'NEEDED to be replaced' is still working fine and has not had any repairs done.  Still mad that I got conned into paying $300 for their leak test.

Wanted to make sure I dug up this company from the several pages of better companies that come up on Yelp when searching for air conditioning repair.

After hearing the radio ad I got online and used the instant messaging to get someone out to my house. The customer service was promising! We had been without a properly working upstairs air conditioning unit for several days and Precision was able to get someone on their way to us immediately.

Coy is a marvelous salesman. I imagine he does well at what he does. Unfortunately what he does is make tons of promises, condescending and dumbed down explanations, and then when he hands you a written estimate it has nothing that he promised.

Ultimately I went with my gut and cancelled the scheduled service call before they came out. This company (or maybe just this salesman) is downright swarmy.

After getting two more estimates we ultimately went with 1-800-Cooling (previously Cooling for Less). They delivered more and gave incredible service.

Last year I had Precision Air service my older a/c unit. At that time they replaced three parts and sold me a service plan. This year I was very very very disappointed with my spring service. The technician opened the unit, tinkered a bit, and proceed to tell my husband that my unit wasn't working and wanted to sell him two parts for over $200 dollars. The conversation led to having a sales agent come over and price out a new unit. Meanwhile the technician closed up the unit and left, leaving my unit in a non-working order. Mind you prior to him messing with the switches the a/c had been working and cooling my house.

After the technician left my husband called an out of state friend in the a/c business. They worked out that the technician turned off additional switches in the unit to try and fool my husband that it didn't work. Since reconnecting the connections the a/c has continued to work without the assistance of Precision Air. I did not receive an honest nor valuable maintenance worth the value of money I spent on a service plan. I am extremely disappointed that this company left my home with my unit not in originally condition they found it. I will not be a returning customer nor do I recommend their service.

Thank you to Jon and Austin with Precision Air  for a great job today! I appreciate the fact that you both were polite & knowledgeable! Thank you for not only replacing the malfunctioning part on our unit quickly and efficiently but for showing me what was wrong with it! I'm not am expert so that helped me tremendously to have that visual.

I appreciate being made aware of ways to improve our system, insulation, etc... Precision Air always makes suggestions but never makes me feel pressured to make a decision right there on the spot. Thank you for that!

And I know this is little and that you guys do this all the time, but thank you for wearing booties over shoes in my house as I just had my floors cleaned 2 days ago! It's the little things like that that set great companies like Precision Air apart from the competition! So glad we can trust you with our heating and cooling needs!

I had Precision Air come out for an AC issue and the technician looks at the unit and tells me everything is fine with the unit even though my house is getting hotter inside as the day is going on. We made an appointment with Precision five days ago and they were supposed to come today. They called this morning to say our appointment would be delayed, but someone would be out this afternoon.
Precision just called back to say they are overbooked and no one will be out to our house at all today!!
How can you make an appointment with a company so many days in advance for them to cancel the day of??... After we were accommodating enough to move the appointment to the afternoon, nonetheless!!!
Very disappointing. Poor reservation schedule obviously. They weren't even apologetic. We will never be using this company ever again!!!!!

So its been 36 hours with no AC with the outside at 107 and inside at 96 with a 4 month baby. I was told by the service tech i will schedule you in first thing in the morning. So my wife wanted me home for this, so i called in sick. Then 8am get a call we have you scheduled for 5pm to 9pm. So not only have a just lost about $250 today from work, please having to deal with a 4 month old baby crying and screaming because she is hot and the house is hot so there is no cooling her down, and spending $300 on fans which of course make the house hotter. Im trying to figure out WTF i spent $5k on? Can anyone answer that? If yelp had 0 stars they would get them.

Had good results with them during maintenance of existing system and the time finally came to get new AC and Heating units.  Got a very fair deal and they did a great job.  They really put in the time to do everything right.

Mike, Anthony, and Frankie were great on the install crew.

The reason I didn't give 5 stars was twice I talked to a sales person who came with during a maintenance visit but they were always presented as a maintenance supervisor.  I know that the maintenance tech might not be comfortable with that and was why they were presented differently.  Obviously that's nitpicking a bit.  The real issue was they said typically we would ask you if you wanted the ducts cleaned as well since we can give a discount, but we didn't so you can't get a deal. I would think that if that was something they neglected they would reach out after to see if I was interested after.

I was asked to prove that I was a veteran to get the advertised 10% off. I emailed them my ID that showed that I was a 100% disable vet. I have not heard anything. I was told to present the ID. Vets I do not recommend this company because I was cheated as Vet who served this country

My name is Steve Martinez and I live in Chandler. I called Precision Air to have my air conditioner serviced before the heat sets in. I appreciate that they responded right away. The technicians name was James S. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. Previously we had another company to do the service on our unit, but they constantly pushed other services and warranty plans which I didn't appreciate. Thank you James S for your courteous and professional services. We will be requesting him in the future. I recommend this company over other heating and air companies.

I can not believe the terrible service we got and from a referral too. We called at 9:30 pm, our AC completely out and desperate as it was 118 yesterday. They told us they would call us back with a time to be here that night. 10:30 we called again and was told we were next on the list. 11:30 we call again and were told they were too booked and couldn't make it out that night but would call with apt for next day. 6am we call and they said they would call right back with an estimated apt time. 7am we call again to follow up and were told they couldn't get out till Thursday. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?

After stringing us along, the house almost 90 degrees inside, we can't sleep, miserable and they didn't seem to care at all. I could not believe anyone could do this to a family. I would never ever use them or recommend. My neighbor was shocked, said he always had great service but this was inexcusable to do to someone.

Precision Air & Heating is literally the worst. Do NOT, under any circumstance, let these folks into your home.

I had a 4 year preventative maintenance agreement with Precision. My 2 A/C units were running great but I had a free PM call to use. Bad mistake. The Precision tech inspected both units and the air handlers and said everything was running well, but suggested we get the evaporator coils cleaned, which we did, and paid for. Literally 30 minutes after he left, our running well system showed a red light COOLING SYSTEM FAILURE. I shut down the unit and Precision said they'd send someone out the next day.

A new technician inspected the check/warning signal and the unit.  In the middle of his inspection and diagnosis, he said a fuse had just blown and there was a complicated wiring system that now needed repair.

Once he fixed these two problems (which apparently did not exist the previous day and/or were not identified by the previous technician), he pointed out that the upstairs unit was (suddenly, after their initial service) performing poorly (a split of only 7 degrees and a lukewarm coil).  He said the previous technician's judgment or assessment of the splits was wrong and suggested that the unit needed freon, quoted me a price, which I agreed to, and then added the freon.

Imagine my surprise when he handed me a bill for rewiring a complicated board and replacing a fuse that were fully operational before he came to my house!!!  I felt I had no option but to pay him to get him about $300 to get him out of my house.

I called Precision. No response. I called again, and they asked me to send a letter. I did. No response. That's it, I'm done.

As I see it, the first tech made errors and/or damaged the fully-functional system, and the 2nd tech made more mistakes (and charged me for them) in trying to correct them.  If the 1st tech did not make mistakes, then why did these never-before-seen problems occur immediately after he left?  If the splits were bad yesterday, why did he not catch it?  Why was I charged to fix the damage done by the 2nd tech who tried to diagnose and correct the problem?  I was charged for their shoddy & destructive work.

Both techs sold me hard on re-upping my soon-to-expire PMA.  In fact, the 2nd tech quoted me a even higher price than the 1st tech did a week earlier. I guess they just make up these numbers as they go...  Crazy.

More amazing is that the 2nd tech continued to push the new PMA after I expressed my extreme dissatisfaction at his service and my disbelief at being billed for their mistakes.

I don't want anything from Precision, I just want to let people know that nobody should let this company do ANYTHING to your cooling & heating system.

Been doing business for 6 months with them. This is the fourth repair man. Each time they find extra work that cost in excess of 500 dollars. The question is why the first 3 guys don't find the same problems. This is on top of the very expensive maintenance package. Dishonest?
So far every fix took two trips

Had to replace a water heater ASAP after it was leaking overnight. It was very helpful to get a live person on the phone at 6:30 AM and Precision was able to come out to my house early that morning. Marcus Ruiz was the technician and was an extremely professional and nice person. He explained everything I needed to know about the water heater.

Even though you can't take excellent customer service for granted, that is EXACTLY what I get everytime I deal with Precision!

Diagnosed an A/C damper issue and wanted to charge me $4,000 for the repair + ancillary parts they said wouldn't fix the problem without.  Got a 2nd opinion and ended up paying $700 to the other company...and without the ancillary parts.

BEWARE of lies and partial truths!

Reply to Precision Air

Guarantee is your word.  Never said that in my post.

Also, your tech did end up telling a lie when he told me the dampers would not function without installing a new zone control board.  I have new damper motors that are running with my existing control board that was not replaced.

Chris came out to service one of the A/C units at my Father-in-law's house.  Our usual tech is James.  After asking me all the right questions and discussing it with his Supervisor, Mike, who had stopped by to check on the job, he found the problem.

He discussed the problem and the solution with me.  I had him explain it to my husband (on the phone because he was at work) as well.  My husband gave him the 'go ahead'.   He fixed the trouble with the unit.

He was very courteous and respectful to my elderly father-in-law and his home.  My family has two homes next door to each other.  We always use Precision because I can depend on having a tech that is famililar with our homes.

We highly recommend them.

Very disappointed!  First off, I know a lot about this stuff and can do most of these repairs myself.  Since I now have a bad back, I have had these guys out 3 times over the last couple of years.  The first time I had their $159.00 service and I told the technician to only put in the 1 pound of  freon that was included in the service.  He comes down off the roof and tell me he put in 2 pounds and charges me an extra $100!

When my AC stopped cooling last year I figured I would give them another chance.  I had them out and they said I needed 2 capacitors.  It killed me to have to pay $350 for 2 capacitors that I can get at the appliance parts store for under $50 but I had them do it.  They said they would throw in an extra tune up the next year so I figured that would save me some.

This year came and when I called to get that tune up, they said it would only be a free service inspection, not a tune up!  I would never have paid for the repair last year knowing this.  I would have done it myself and saved $300.00!  Very shady and not cool at all!!! (Pardon the Pun).  Won't be using them again and don't recommend them to others.

Don't buy their maintenance package!!!  They don't include any basic standard tuneup items!!!   All they do is try to sell you high margin add on parts. And this year they tried to sell me $380 for basic tuneup items they have advertised on their website for $169!!   I showed this to the service tech and he just shrugged his shoulders and said it would be $380 unless I extended for four more years.
Called the main office and asked to speak to a manager or supervisor and no one returned my call.   Will never use these guys again!

I do not recommend the maintenance plan. It has not covered anything thus far! Last time they came out and did nothing more than attempt to sell us on other things, absolutely no maintenance was done or suggested. Needed them asap, called and was told we needed to wait more than 24hrs till someone could be dispatched. Not to mention the tech did the work without quoting us or getting the go ahead to do the first job we paid them for. Same guy who duped us into this usless plan.

I had purchased an air conditioner from Precision Air and Plumbing about 2 years ago, with the idea that I was making a well-informed decision from a trusty salesman from a reputable company. I was even upsold to a better unit that was more efficient and more reliable.
So, fast forward 2 years and my AC was no longer cooling my home but still blowing slightly cold air. I called Precision on a Saturday and scheduled a non-emergency appointment for Tues. morning. On Sunday, the following day, my AC stopped working altogether. I contacted Precision again and made an appt. for first thing Monday morning, which unfortunately was the soonest they could come out, even for an emergency call. The following morning, I received a call 15 mins after the time the technician was supposed to arrive with the news that the technician had fallen ill and would not be able to make it. I proceeded to ask if my Tuesday appt. was still somehow scheduled only to be told I wasn't on the schedule at all. I was told that now Wed AFTERNOON would be the soonest anyone could come out. When I asked why so late, I was told that customers who had PURCHASED service agreements through Precision would be placed as priorities and unfortunately I would have to wait, even without a working AC.
In the meantime, I hired a couple of other companies to come out and diagnose the issue. Both companies identified the issue as a leaking condenser coil and, coincidentally, both advised me to check with Precision on covering the work since that type of issue was far too premature for a unit that new and that their companies would honor the repair in the same situation.
Well, I called Precision in hopes of them working with me as a sign of good faith but was quickly shot down, being told that if we did that for you, we'd have to do it for everyone. The real kicker was that they asked me if I still wanted to keep my appt. for Wed. WITH a $59.95 diagnostic fee! Steer clear of Precision if you don't want to get swindled and go with someone like Mechanical Brothers or Viking.

Initially made an appointment in May for a tune up for both units at 160$ per unit. Had to wait for about a month for an appointment and when the tech came he spent@ 20 minutes and never came inside. Livid I called and talked to John his manager and went through the list of items they should have preformed. John was very understanding and said he would send out one of his senior techs to preform the service. Had to wait for four days with a four hour window from 5 to 8 PM he called and said he was running late but he did show.

The technician, COREY C. Is the only reason this review is getting 3 stars. He listened to my explaination of what transpired and then went to work and found a few issues which he repaired and was here till @ 11PM. Corey was the saving grace and deserves a kudos for his dedication and perseverance to his craft.
We had another problem a few days later and I called and requested Corey to check it out and he did not disappoint. With a bit of trouble shooting he determined that a control board had failed. Already 600 bucks into it we opted not to fix it and see if we can get insurance to replace our 14 year old units.

In conclusion if you do use Precision I highly recommend that you request Corey C.

They did a great job!! Our only issue was the lack of good communication on their part resulting in my husband having to describe the problem to at least 3 or 4 employees and calling several times.  It would not have been as much of an issue had it not been  97 degrees inside the house at night and over 100 daytime.  It just goes to figure our problem couldn't have been in the winter time!

The BBB has verified all of the information in my complaint and has suggested Precision Air refund me $2,200 for failure to perform services as promised. Their BBB accreditation is officially at risk of revocation because of it. Info on BBB website.
Oct 2016 I purchased a brand new AC unit for my parents who are retired and on a very fixed income (I also bought one for myself from them for a total of $11,000 spent with this company). The heat was used very little during the winter months but when they turned the AC on in March, after about a month my father noticed it was not shutting off at all. Despite the fact the unit ran constantly their house was not cooling. Precision came out on 4/25/17 and found the unit low on refrigerant. The technician performed a leak test, found nothing, refilled the R10 and noted on the receipt that if this issue happens again we will need to come back and find where the refrigerant is leaking from. By the beginning of July the unit was running constantly again so on 7/8/17, less than three months later, another technician came out and found the unit low on R10 so he performed a bubble and electric leak search. He noted if this issue keeps occurring we need to conduct a different course of action. System is only 9 months old and this would be the second visit due to low refrigerant levels. In August, the problem returned. Another tech came, adjusted air flow and added 2 more pounds of R10 (for a total of 7 pounds replaced at this point) but performed no other work. Last Friday, my dad called me to say the unit isn't working again. Precision sent out another tech on Saturday who found a leak in the condenser coil. He told my father that they have to remove all the R10, replace the coil, then refill the R10 for a cost of $736 to replace the R10. I spoke to the owner, Erik Bryan, on 12/2 who informed me it would have been nice if we could have found the leak prior to the warranty expiring, but it doesn't always work out that way. Had the technician performed a leak test in August, this issue might have been resolved without my retired parents having to choose between insulin and cooling their house. The unit is currently not functioning at all which is unacceptable according to the Registrar of Contractors workmanship standards for licensed contractors. I left a message for the owner later on 12/2 after we initially spoke because I learned of his technicians failure to perform the appropriate test but heard nothing for over two days. I called a few times on 12/6 and 12/7 and was told that nobody is allowed to speak to me except for the owner. While I was on the phone with one staffer I missed a call from a Hawaii number that turned out to be his assistant calling to say he would call me the next day (12/8) between the hours of 1-3.  So I cleared my calendar for the next day and then two hours later I missed a call from him, saying he was in meetings all day and requesting I be patient. At that point my parents had gone five days with no AC or heat and no indication from the company as to when they plan to fix it. I waited until 2:45 pm on 12/8 and then called to let them know I had a 3 pm meeting but still hadn't heard from Erik.  I was put on hold and then five minutes before my meeting Sandra came on the line and informed me that they had not called to schedule the service because I had yet to authorize it, which was news to me.  Erik had informed me that nobody needed to be home when the repair was done and that they would call as soon as the part was ready. I have yet to received a call saying the part is ready and I explained to her that I needed to speak to him again to address the fact they didn't perform a leak test so we shouldn't be responsible for the R10.  She tried telling me that R10 wouldn't have been covered by a warranty even if they had found the leak back in August, yet two of the three receipts we have from their prior trips specifically list the R10 as warranty work and the third receipt just showed the customer cost at zero.  I explained this to her but she maintained they had just done us a favor by not charging us this whole time and said she was trying to help me out. When I told her that I found her comment to be disingenuous given some of her responses to yelp reviews, she informed me the conversation was over and that I could wait until 12/11 to hear from the owner.  So tomorrow, 12/9, my parents will have gone a week with no heat or AC functioning on their home. The lack of customer service from the office staff is astounding. I have filed fraud complaints with the AG consumer fraud office, the BBB, and the Registrar of Contractors.

I recently had Precision Air do a air conditioner tune up.  Leslie the HVAC tech did a great job, however the support staff (Ryan) needs a course on customer relations with an emphasis on honesty. I was disappointed with him.  I own 2 condos and had Precision install new units in both the past 3 years and they did a good job then.  I'll give them one more chance before switching vendors.

Absolute liars. Their field supervisor, Chris, came to our home to evaluate if we needed a new unit. He scared us, telling us we had mold coming into our home through our a/c unit. He told us our gas furnace was rusted through and had the potential to lead carbon monoxide into our home. We panicked and signed on the dotted line to replace our entire system... he told us our duct work was shot and we needed everything replaced. After we signed, we got 3 other opinions from professionals. All three showed us pictures. No mold, no area rusted through, our duct work was fine. Precision Air tech terrified us in order to get a sale. When we called to cancel, they tried to charge us a 20% restock fee which was about $2,200.00. What a joke. We now have a lawyer. Do not ever deal with these crooks. Total fraud.

I had tech (Matt Z) come out to my place Saturday 11/25/17 for a $159.95 service call, measured amps on my air handler (inside unit), told me blower motor capacitor was low and then went into a sales pitch for service etc... and after I declined to put out more money that I felt was unnecessary at time because my system is under warranty. He went out to say that he wouldn't be able to do anything about the capacitor until it goes out because that is how the warranty works. I completely understand that, so I said when it goes out I will call to have it repaired/replace. I asked if he could replace the screws in my vent door, as the initial install the tech partly stripped a few of the screws, which have only gotten worse over the last few years since the purchase. He said he didn't have the right screws, and then asked if I had a nut driver because the screws he has are nut head screws and offered to leave me some when he left but they are at least twice the length of the screws that are currently used to close the vent door (more on this below). Then he went into a partial sales pitch on the portion of the unit on the roof about cleaning coils, etc... I expressed that it was my understanding that this was part of the $159.95 service call he was there for, and he recognized that yes that was the service he was here for. He went and grabbed his ladder, went to the roof and was back at my door in no more than 10 minutes (on the generous side, probably 5 minutes), to tell me the unit is fine and nothing needed to be done and how he didn't do something because it wasn't necessary and by doing it I could/would lose freion sp? which is $200 lb when needed.

So I expressed my displeasure for the price I was paying for which was technically nothing, wasn't belligerent or rude in anyway because it is what it is, but still disappointing that a company could charge $159.95 to a customer that paid around $4,000 to purchase a whole system less than 5 years ago, not to mention had pretty much the same service 1 1/2 early for $59.95.

So after he was gone for a while I opened the vent door to see if I could replace the screws because when he said they were nut head I figured they would only have a nut head and no screwdriver ability. The screws, yes are nut head but also have a flathead screw driver slot in them so could be done with a flathead screwdriver, except for the fact that they are nearly an inch long and the ones in the door are maybe a quarter inch. When I realized the screws were much longer than what was in there I decided to not mess with it at this time and will have to deal with it myself when I can get some shorter screws that are more like what is in the vent door now. Oh and not to mention now one of the screws isn't lining up and isn't secured.

So essentially I paid $159.95, to get more work for myself, nothing done to my units (indoor air handler and AC unit on roof), a magnet for $50 off my next service and a paper directing me online to fill out a review that is also good for $50 Cool Cash for a future service call. Which something tells me I will only be able to use one of these and not both the next time I have a service call but I guess we will see if/when that time comes. Plus I feel when I had my last service call in I want to say April 2016, I did write a review for the same reason (to save on the next service call) and there was no indication/record or at least not mentioned to me when the scheduler called to set an appointment or when tech came to my place. I only just remembered this now as I am wrapping up this review.

After a steallar expereience with Precision Air a few weeks ago, I ultimately had to replace one of my A/C units ( I knew it was coming - the unit was old!).

I called them, Claude came out to assess the situation and we talked about what my options were as well as costs. I was able to get the new unit installed the very next day. Aaron T. and Shane Z. were on time, and exceptionally pleasant. They walked me through what they would be doing, how long each step would take, and that they would clean up when they were done.

While it took slightly longer than estimated to complete the install, it was done well, and with an eye toward efficiency of the unit. They both took the time necessary to make sure that this (one of the biggest purchases a person makes) was installed correctly the first time and I really appreciate that!

They were also wiling to explain what they were doing, and why, as I am always intersted in learning what goes into home improvment projects! Aaron explained everything in a way that I could understand it - no small feat!

I honestly could not be happier with this experience!

We purchased our new air conditioner from Precision about a year ago and Leslie came out for our yearly inspection. She did an excellent job and in the process discovered we had a water heater leak. Never look at my water heater so I never noticed the puddle stain and calcium stain.  It was most fortunate that she found it.  it is 16 years old and I guess I was lucky it didn't blow before now.  I am expecting my son and 3 grown grandsons at the end of the month and Murphys law probably would have the water heater go.  Thanks to Leslie's observation this catastrophe won't happen. So happy with the air conditioning unit we were sold and the service given by Precision Air.

Update: just had Casey come do our yearly check. He was pleasant and quick, but thorough.  Best service technician I've met in a long time.

Had our annual check of our systems done last Friday. Manny, the service technician, showed up within the timeframe the company gave us. He was quick, friendly and thorough. He was able to explain what needed to be done on our older air conditioners to get us through the summer in terms that I could understand! Thanks

The first mistake I made was signing a four year contract with precision air last July. It took me three months to finally have my air filters replaced in the house. On another it on other occasions it's been the same thing the balls dropped.
First of all it's impossible to get past the front desk the owner, the service manager, and even the office manager are impossible to speak with. It wouldn't be so bad if the front desk that consists of maybe five women were all on the same page. But The communication is truly unsatisfactory.
I started this review about six months ago and decided to hold off. But today I had another negative situation with Percision Air. We agreed with PA to be serviced annually in July. I paid upfront for the contract. Today is July 26 and I hadn't to date heard a word from precision air to set up an appointment for service so I gave them a call this morning. I was told by the receptionist that setting up service calls is up to the customer to make an appointment for service, which means to me that if we're not on top of it there is no reminder from PA to be serviced.  I was told they have too many customers to inform them when it's time for annual service. In May we had a fan replaced by PA as well as some other work on the AC and spent a good amount of money, so I do consider ourselves a good regular customer who expects good customer service from PA. I'm so discouraged dealing with this company.

Very DISHONEST company! OUTRAGEOUS prices! Contacted Precision Air for second opinion. Just had my outdoor coils cleaned a week prior by another company. Precision wanted to charge $150 to clean already clean coils. The company that came a week prior, checked the run capacitor and said it was fine. Precision said it was bad and would cost $325. You can get that done for less from almost any company. I had the capacitor checked again by a 3rd company after Precision air just to make sure it hadn't gone bad in a week and the capacitor measured fine. Precision wanted to charge $358.42 to install a 5-2-1 start kit. It makes it easier for the compressor to start. It takes 5 minutes to install and the part is $30 online for a 3 ton unit. Precision recommended cleaning all the vents at $50 a piece. 10 vents $500! And, they put it on the bill twice, perhaps an error or hoping I wouldn't notice. $1,000 to clean vents! Maybe the techs make a commission, but they definitely try to up sell you on services that are not necessary or not even faulty. What is most annoying is that the owner mentions the integrity and trustworthiness of his company in the TV ad. There are may great A/C companies out there, but all the negative reviews of Precision Air should be enough warning!

I called Precision Air and Heating because my attic unit was clogged and leaking through my ceiling.  They came, two days later.  Besides telling me what needed to be fixed the service tech tired pushing service plans.  Trying to up-sell me on something that I didn't want.  I was very annoyed.  I told him to fix/replace what was broken. That was yesterday. Today my A/C unit that was just serviced isn't working.  It is currently 109 degrees outside and my house is 83 degrees, with the thermostat being set to 79!  After calling back, telling them about this they told me they couldn't come out for another 2 days!  I'm very disappointed.  I've used this company in the past and was very happy.

Since I can't reply to the comment on this review I will have to post it here.
Hi Sandra,

I've waited to update this post once all the work had been completed, mainly the replacement of the drain pan.

Overall I've been satisfied with my experience although I do believe things could have gone smoother. You are correct when you say your service manager had to come out on the 13th to repair a subsequent issue, but you conveniently leave out that the subsequent issue was caused by the first tech leaving a valve open when he finished the day prior. Nothing was broken and it only took about 15 minutes for your Service Manager, Jon, to recharge the system and have it back up and running. It's disappointing that your reply seems to characterize the situation differently. I was actually very pleased at the service Jon provided.  He stopped by on his way home at 8:00 at night, something that I feel incredible grateful for and shows Precision's dedication to customer service. So instead of making it sound like our old A/C unit had an additional problem I would have painted the picture of Precision quickly fixing a mistake that could have happened to anybody.

My two suggestions:

1. If a customer calls back the very next day after service because there unit is NOT working you should make it a high priority.  They just purchased your company's services and nothing feels worse than dropping hundreds of dollars with nothing to show for it.

2. Don't mischaracterize situations on yelp posts. Having to fully explain the situation makes me less satisfied than I was with original mistake. I don't enjoy taking to yelp when I'm not getting the customer service I feel is necessary because I realize a bad review does have a significant impact to your business and livelihood.  It seems the better approach would have been to let it be and I would have updated my post to explain how the situation was remedied.

Again, I'm overall satisfied with the repair to my A/C and the eventual correction to a minor mistake. I'd also like to reiterate the outstanding customer service provided by Jon at such a late hour at night.

On june 2017, My Air Conditioning was dead and needed new unit. So, i have called Precision Air & Heating for quote and never received a call back. I have asked My sister's and brother-in-law to call them too and they have no luck either. Precision finally called back after a week later.
what a bad service...........I will never call them again....

Went to their website online, I asked if someone could come down and give me 2 quote's. 1 on a repair and 2 on a new unit.

So they sent a guy out, the same day, and immediately he just tries to sell me a new unit.

We ask, what about possibly repairing this unit? He goes Oh I don't know what that would cost, I didn't bring my tools with me.

Well that is a load of BS. You brought your work vehicle, a ladder, and a clipboard with you to attempt to sell us a new a/c. I doubt that work vehicle was empty.

I called Anthony James Air Conditioning & Heating LLC and they came down, found 2 bad fuses and got my A/C running for $57.25 instead of the $4,800 these jokers wanted to charge me for a new system.

What a bunch of scam artists! I read some of the 13 complaints they have on the BBB website and it's not the first time they have pulled something like this.

I'm sure it won't be the last.

And I'm sure they'll reply back by saying We can't find you in our database.

lol!

Chris, a senior technician,  was at my home in Scottsdale this morning. I had been curious about another organization's tune up service where they had recommended a number of items to repair or replace. I called Precision for a no charge second opinion.

Not only did I NOT need the so-called repairs or replacements - Chris spent the time explaining the systems at my home and what could be expected in the future. At no time was there pressure to do anything but understand the system and I ended up entering into a low-cost 4 year service agreement where they check the system each year at no additional cost and provide a 205 discount on any future repairs.

In addition, one of the recommendations provided by the other company was going to be $354 for a part and Precision's cost would have been $152 and I didnt need it anyway.

All in all, an excellent organization and an excellent representative of the organization in Chris.

Been in my house for about 3 years and I wanted the system checked out as the house is 5 years old.  So of course they come out and find an issue with the capacitor.  Out of the 6 times that they have come to my house (other houses I owned), they have said that I needed a new capacitor either on the outside system or on the inside system.  Guess what happened this time?  I need a new capacitor.  So they tell me the price of the part and labor and said it would be cheaper to get the 4 year contract.  I did this with my other houses and I also did it for this time.  I also was told that the motor was leaking oil but it is running fine.

6 months later, on a 114 day in July, the blower motor locks up at night.  I log a ticket via the website at 11pm that night and get a call the next morning.  I get told that no one can come out till 5 days cause they are busy.  Wait, but I am not a higher priority since I have a contract?  You would think.  I tell them if they get a cancellation, give me a call.  They end up coming out 2 days later.  I guess that is better than 5.  The technician comes out and tells me a new motor will be over 1k.  Of course I saved a lot since I have a service contract...Yeah (sarcasm).  Of course it is hot, and I am pissed, and I don't understand why the other technician that came out 6 months earlier could have just have it replaced then.  I ended up renting a portable AC for one of the nights and that didn't work.  So the next night I take the family to a hotel.  Of course I have to take time off so that pissed me off even more.  I was just irritated about the whole thing.  Then we get told he might not be able to come out till the afternoon the next day.  At this point, I say what ever.

The next day arrives and I get a call 8am in the morning.  Woohoo, they can fix it right now.  He get's out there and pops it in.  Yes, finally we get cool air again.

So this review would be a 2 star if not for James S.  Even though I was livid and irritated throughout the whole process, he was very professional and answered all questions.  He made it a point to make sure we were one of the first customers that he had to service in the day.  I appreciate everything James.

An overnight electrical storm seemed to coincide with the failure of our 11 year old A/C system. Not a good thing to happen in August in AZ. Scheduled a diagnostic with an arrival time about 2pm. But they beat expectations by having Manny V. arrive 2 hours earlier and he had the system up and running in what seemed like only 15-20 minutes.  Cool again. Yay!

But a few hours later the circuit breaker was tripping. This time they sent Matt who arrived in the window of time scheduled and he did some tests, made one adjustment, and verified things were within spec.  However, some of the older parts were marginal and he recommended which ones would be the next to replace should that increase our comfort level but it was not necessary at that moment.  No cost for the second trip, as it was covered by the diagnostic/repair done earlier.

I've used Precision in the past, and there was a problem with the service but they made it right AND backed the remaining 2 year warranty on my unit.  So they got my business again this time.

Richie came out to provide the annual inspection of my 1994 air conditioning unit this year. I had purchased the annual maintenance package 2 years ago and had already experienced the surprise last year of learning from the tech last year that what I had essentially purchased for $500 did not actually entitle me to any actual maintenance service but just annual diagnostics during which I would be told on an annual basis what I need to pay for to keep the unit running.

Admittedly I have an old unit.  I know I need to come out of pocket to keep it running and it is worth it to me to do so. This year Precision installed a start kit to take down the amp load on my compressor and I believe they did a good job. Richie seems very knowledgeable and competent and was very friendly and engaging. My invoice this year does say that my unit is in very poor condition which seems harsh in light of the fact that the unit works just fine and I have replaced every single piece of it through regular maintenance over the 20 years I have owned this house with the exception of the compressor.  They cleaned the inner coil also and the cost was in the range that I expected it to be.

Got my a/c installed last summer when my old one finally went out. Went with this company because they seemed professional. That summer was super hot and my house stayed cool. Now, about 10 months later i get my yearly checkup for my a/c that is still under warranty (parts and labor) and am told I need a 5 2 1 starter also known as a soft starter and they wanted $300 just to put it on! This is a huge compressor savor since parts get damaged the most when things first turn on. (sort of how a light bulb usually blows when you flip your switch on and not randomly while its on). This part USED to be included with your a/c and is only $40 on amazon!! So my a/c and compressor went a whole year without a simple $40 component without my knowledge maxing out its temp just so they could try and up sale me the following year. Really poor business and sucks after spending so much on a new unit they would still try and pull shit like this. Who knows what else they didn't include on my unit for future profits....

Very unhappy customer,
Robert

Just had a routine service with Matt. Matt was very professional. The only downside is that the service does not really service anything. I end up getting a couple recommendations for repairs that I may or may not need and they are extraordinarily expensive.
I thanked Matt for his recommendations but passed on the additional service recommendations. My review is 4 stars for Matt and 2 stars for PA.

I had a service tech out today to do a routine service for $159.99 I knew they would find something wrong they always do  , however the person who came out was very professional, he explained everything clearly and worked with me to try and find a price I could live with. He even put shoe covers on before coming in my house. That may seem like a silly little thing to some, I appreciated it a lot, it's the small little details that can make a big difference to me. He took his time explaining how my a/c worked sometimes a few times, he didn't make me feel rushed or ignorant. I will ask for him by name next time someone needs to come out for my a/c. In case you need a very qualified, nice, professional, sales tech., his name is Manny Vela. I highly recommended him!

NEST has them listed as a reputable company who is capable of installing Nest thermostats... this was not my experience.  First of all, it had the used car salesman vibe from start to finish.  Before the technician even looked at my equipment he began telling me the great deal I could get in a 4 year service plan for hundreds of dollars.  There are so many rediculous stories and dialogue to my experience I'll cut to the chase.  We were scammed and highly dissatisfied.  The technician told me all kinds of things were wrong and how he had to wire it without a common wire and it should work just fine without one BUT if it doesn't he will have to come back to pull a new wire to the tune of 600$.  The thermostat was working when he left and he charged me 200$ for the visit.  Well, if you youtube nest thermostats for 2 seconds you'll find out you need a common wire to keep it charged.  So of course it didn't work the very next day.  My husband ended up getting on the roof with youtube in hand and NOT having to pull a new wire and within an hour he fixed it himself.  We called the company and told them our upset and were told someone would call us back.  Of course no one did.  Clearly, this is a money making machine... they took us for fools and I'm grateful my husband was able to take the time that we don't have to check the honesty of their work so we didn't get scammed further.  Avoid this company, they are not trustworthy and out to sell needless service plans and fake repairs.

STAY AWAY This company is unprofessional, sent out a technician that was on drugs, demanded payment for a job not done or the tech was not leaving. I decided to pay and figured I would handle it with the office. I called the office and we came to a verbal agreement I would be receiving a refund. 2 weeks go by and countless phone calls. I can not get a hold of anyone and no refund. I decided to also use this as an opportunity to get out of my maintenance plan as how can I trust a company that treats there customers like this. The operations manager John mentioned I could get out of my plan but the total cost to get out of the plan is more than the plan. What a joke! I will be following up with my banks, the BBB, Arizona ROC, and every other platform I can think of.

Very prompt however listening isn't a specialty. I specifically told them that they needed a ladder to get on the third story so when they showed up at 930 pm without a ladder I was upset. Then the service guy says we don't go up on the third story. Um... yes you do. You replaced my entire unit about 2 years ago. You weren't complaining when I forked over $7000 to you. Now they tell me the repair is going to be $800 and that's only labor. I had a 1% chance that I would get a faulty part and I drew the lucky straw! As a homeowner I just scratch my head. Who can afford this garbage!?!

4 techs and 6 service calls later, I am out $2,700 with ZERO results from Precision Air. Despite having courteous techs, they lack the technical expertise they advertise. After explaining to them that what they did was not working, a new technician would come by and diagnose a new problem requiring major work and of course $$$$. After the 6th visit they admitted they should have thoroughly checked the actual A/C unit, which was then discovered to be the main issue. This new visit would require additional major work from a new technician to finally fix the problem. I had heard this before and could not trust them.

Please do yourself a favor and use another company to service your A/C issues. Or AT LEAST get a second opinion before you trust their advice. I think there are plenty of A/C companies that do initial visits for free. If you must use them, I suggest talking to one main technician because they like to bounce you around from manager to manager so no one takes ownership for their poor results.

First off. I do understand peoples negative reviews about situations with this company. We bought a COMPLETEY new system(duct work and all) in 2010 and have had nothing but problems with it. We have enough yellow invoice pages from work they have had to do over the past 8 years that it now looks like a phone book. They do use a lot of scare tactics to push their repairs and selling their warranty, which by the way, only covers the labor and gives you a small discount on already overpriced parts, overpriced to cover the labor I'm assuming. We have had only 1-2 great techs come out that really did help us save some money and have had great suggestions. Troy was one of the good ones. We have had some horrible ones as well. One tech even accused us of breaking our own equipment only to sell us the replacement part and an extended warranty. You pretty much have to pay whatever they say because you NEED air/heating. We have actually put off their free service checks only because we know they will always cost you something and you will be asked to pay...again. It is NEVER free.
On a positive note.. We are selling our house and we wanted to get a final check-up on our system to document the condition to the new owner of our house and get everything tuned up and working right.
Cory Conklin is the only reason I gave 4 stars. He gave our system a clean bill of health which we have never had before from them even months after the new system was inspected, but his knowledge and the pride in his work was unmatched by anyone who has ever come to our house from Precision. He was shocked at the amount invoices of work that needed to be done over that time to keep it going. We are not sure if we are going to carry this contract to our new house or just deal with another company for our new system.
If this was our last appointment with Precision, we want to thank Cory for his input and suggestions he had as well as his positive attitude and the pride he has in his work. Thank you Cory. Where were you all these years?

We called Precision Air & Heating when our air conditioning unit for the upstairs of our house stopped working the day before Arizona hit 100 degrees! James showed up the same day as our call to inform us that unfortunately the motor and the wheel barrel had rusted away and needed to be replaced!
Coordinating the repairs has been so easy! We rent the house and our landlords live out of the country but Precision was able to work with all of us to get this done smoothly and easily!
We will definitely call Precision again when the downstairs unit stops working next! :-)

One of our AC units quit on us one day and Precision Air had someone there within hours to look at it.  The tech, Aaron A., was extremely knowledgeable and willing to explain everything that was going on.  He had it fixed quickly.
The only reason I don't give them a 5 is because I thought the price was a bit excessive given the one part replaced and the time on the job.

Revised Review:

Previous reviews covered issues with the failing 20 yeat old Trane and it's subsequent replacement.

Usual fall service call, Richie from Precision went checked all of the A/C units and everything was 100% except the exterior coils.  These he cleaned and we're ready for the winter.  Precision has been maintaining our heat pumps for 5 years now and our plumbing for 2.  All of the Technicians have been very professional and have worked with us over the years.  We are 100% pleased with all of the work they have performed for us.  This includes several emergency calls over the years when we have lost A/C during the summer and needed quick service.  I also want to give a gold star to their scheduling staff.  Very pleasant and courteous during calls.
We usually get our heat pumps serviced in the late fall, the service staff is not overloaded with emegency calls from people who run their equipment until it fails and then call for service when it's 110 outside.   The tech's are usually ontime, and if they get stuck at a previous call, will advise and reschedule.  Thanks Richie, and everyone else at Precision.

I been a contracted customer with Precision for the past 4 years. They have definitely helped extend the life of my old A/C. I've been told that it should of been replaced years ago but thanks to Precision I was able to extend the life of it  for a few more years. I did end up getting a new AC installed by them this month. Mike, Anthony and Ricky did a great job in installing the new unit. They went out of their way to make sure everything was working correctly. They were very courteous and professional. I'm very satisfied with their work. Definitely recommend Precision for all your heating and cooling needs..

Mike, Anthony and Almondo did an excellent job installing my new A/C unit on the roof of our garage, replacing the old unit in the same location.  They had to build a special elbow to the ducting, as the previous unit had not been properly lined up.  Right from the initial quotation from the Sales/Service Manager through to the final installation Precision were very efficient.  During, and after the install was complete, I went up on the roof to see the installation.  Everything, including caulking round the new electrical box on the wall, sealing all round, including where the thermostat wire entered the roof, and especially the heavy tarring around the inlet/outlet ducting where it meets the house/garage roof intersection to provide a solid seal, has been done really well.  I am very pleased with this company and their employees.

Great job fellas - thank you so much!

I recently had Mike Collins out to my house for a air duct cleaning quote. Mike called before he came and showed up at the time he indicated which was awesome. Once he got to my house I explained a few other issues I was having. Coming to find out my 13 year old unit was not working anymore and instead of repairing I decided to get a new one.  Mike was great taking his time explaining everything and although this is a huge hit finiacially it was the best call. They are coming back out to do a complete rework really to improve the airflow to my bedroom and get this old unit out of here. Mike was excellent and I just wanted to say thanks again!

I've got to hand it to my service tech Rick R. and Precision Air & Heating for taking care of my home last night. Rick R. came to my house and was very nice right from the beginning. He took the time to diagnose, repair and talk to me what had to be replaced and repaired. He did a fantastic job and I could not be happier with him and this Precision. Top quality guys, products, prices and customer service all the way around. I am so happy that I also bought the 4 year maintenance agreement on my home too. Not only is this transferable, but I know that my HVAC system will be taken care of. This already has saved me money buying the agreement because it saved the trip charges for emergency calls and is also discounted price for any work they do. THANK YOU Rick and Precision for being an outstanding company and having quality people all the way around. You have a long lasting customer. I had the $160 tune up done, and the technician Anthony was very professional and friendly. But after the inspection, It was recommended that I change two capacitors and the contactor switch which ended up costing $800. The testimonial on their website mentions that someone else needed the same thing but was offered some of the parts for free. They ended up spending $300 instead of $800. Why didn't I get that deal?  Maybe Precision expects you to haggle with them to get a better price. I checked pricing for parts online and they only cost about $30 each. I'll probably go somewhere else next time unless they make this right. John Doak.

Precision Air and Heating - HORRIBLE SERVICE!

Have had a call in since Sunday (5 days ago) and they company gave us a 5-9 block for yesterday.
Around 5 yesterday they called to say it would be closer to 9.
9 comes and goes, no call and no ones shows up, so around 10pm we call and they have to page the on call guy (they only have 1 guy working at night) and he gets back to us around 10:30 saying he's still on a job for another few hours in Scottsdale (we are in Avondale!), so he could show up around 1am (maybe) told them this was not acceptable and he says he would call the office to have someone out in the morning.
We hear nothing from the office when they open, so when we call to ask on status they tell us there are NO OPEN SPOTS for us today since we declined service yesterday... apparently them overbooking and not making the 5-9 was my fault, basically we should have just accepted the 1am time frame that was so reasonable from the companies perspective (we have young children who are asleep so someone banging around in the attic from 1-3 am is not going to work when the time promised was 5-9pm).
Asked the manager to make us a priority today and she said that they will NOT do that and they can try and send someone but cant give a time and it might be yesterday all over again and the tech might show up after 9pm. ... WOW.
Mind you, the unit we have on our home is one from Precision Air that we bought new VERY recently and is still under warranty.
But I'm not a priority as a customer. Overbooking (ala UNITED AIRLINES) and missing appointments doesn't make a customer a priority, previous purchases from this company won't make you a priority, having the company hold you hostage for a week not also doesn't make you a priority.
What I've learned, this company, just doesn't care about you.

---Update---

Precision Air and Heating ... what a joke.

Now I'm being told that the owner is too busy to speak with me, after being assured he would be able to call me today by management to resolve this issue...  but she was able to relay a message from him
That they felt they did their best to get someone out to me yesterday.
NO ONE SHOWED UP AT THE TIME PROMISED, they missed a four hour window.
The vents have been blowing warm air since Sunday when we called and this company has done their best w/ a 4 day wait and then blowing off my scheduled appt time.
I would love to see what not their best is if this is the best they can offer.
Also, they MIGHT have someone out to me today by 3pm.
I won't hold my breathe.

But she offered to allow me to use another company if i prefer - proof they don't care about my business.

Jacob showed up on time to do a maintenance check on my A/C unit due to a loud noise and to make sure it is ready for the summer. I'm so glad I chose Precision Air and Heating and will recommend them to friends and family. Thanks Jacob!

Had a tech, Leslie, assigned for semi annual check up. She was efficient and pleasant to work with. She made sure everything was working like it was supposed to, even climbing into the attic to check on the air handler. Things went as they were supposed to which isn't always the case with some companies.

$269 to replace a thermostat  wire 3 feet long. I feel I was ripped off. Make sure you get a quote first. The repair took 5 minutes. But hey the $59 service call was free. Did I mention he wanted to sell me a service contract for $900. So to be clear....my repair cost $53.80 per minute.  This repair should have been $60.

Thanks. Great service Austin. On time. Loves dogs. I do wish the previous technician had made 5 year service agreement clearer when I first purchased it. I understood that they would come and chemically clean AC each year but the just inspect.

I have been doing business with this company for 2 years. When I bought my home, I knew the air conditioner was going to need to be replaced pretty soon because it was 17 years old. They came out initially for maintenance of the unit. I had them clean and tune up the system, clean the ducts, and install an air scrubber. They didn't upsell me on the duct cleaning or the air scrubber, I asked for these services. They have come out a few times since then for routine maintenance. This last time I decided it was time to bite the bullet and get a new unit before the summer hit and chance it finally dying when the temps are 115+. They gave me options and explained what the differences were and let me choose which one I wanted to go with. Scheduling the install was quick, I had an install appointment within 2 days.
They day of installation, Wayne & Mike arrived with the new unit. I am not a fan of having unknown people in my house, so with that being said, I have to say that these guys were great! They both came to the door, introduced themselves, and shook my hand. I showed them where the thermostat was. I was told what they would be doing, and they went to work. They were quick and efficient, very polite, and professional. They showed me how to work the new thermostat and left me with the paperwork. I am very pleased with the service they provided. Precision should be very proud that they have these guys working for them!
So far, my new unit is amazing! It is so quiet compared to the old one, and I have no doubt that if any problems arise that Precision will take care of me. Thanks guys for the great service, you definitely have me as a loyal customer.

Chris came to my house today to reroute my condensation line, install a new return grill, install a new digital thermostat and locate the cause of the mystery noise coming from inside the wall.  He did great and even found the noise and fixed it!  I signed up for their 4 year maintenance plan, so he credited the cost of the reroute, saving me a couple hundred dollars.  Thank you Chris, for a job well done!

We are extremely happy with Precision.  We met with Don to review our options.  He was very thorough and stayed for several hours reviewing our needs to best fit our household.  The company was quick to come and install.  We had two Technicians, Guy and David.  They were both very friendly, helpful and professional.  They worked very hard throughout the day and stayed until 8 p.m. to get our job completed.  They were very thorough in explaining the work they performed.  Don also came out throughout the day to assist Guy and David and to also explain the process and what we could expect.  I would recommend this company to anyone.  Thank you.

I had Precision Air & Heating come out to my house on June 17, 2010 to service my air conditioning unit, as one of the two zones in my house was no longer blowing cool air.  The seviceman apparently did a complete tune up per the receipt given to me, and charged me $255.  On July 9, 2010, that same zone once again stopped blowing cool air. On July 10, 2010I had another serviceman from Precision come out to my home again to service the unit. The serviceman informed me that the unit was no longer serviceable and the entire unit had to be replaced, at a cost of appoximately $9,000. Even though Precision did not fix the problem the first time, the serviceman still charged me $39 for the service call.

I had a serviceman from an entirely different company come out the next day (July 11, 2010). He told me the compressor on the heat pump for the zone that was not blowing cool air just needed to be recharged. He fixed the problem for $160.

I paid Precision Air & Heating almost $300, and got nothing but a hard sell on extremely expensive equipment and service that I didn't need, that would have replaced my existing air unit that could have been serviced, but wasn't. I feel Precision Air and Heating was trying to scam me. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy.

AC stopped during a 2-week 100+ degree streak.  Then just like taking your car to the mechanic, it worked just fine was the Precision crew got there. The only potential problem was the fan motor.  Technician acknowledged that everything was working just fine and recommended just watching it for a while.  They didnt push a $600 part if it was working.  I insisted on the new motor anyway but appreciate not being pushed.  AC still blowing a week later.  Thanks

So how does this work !!  I took the commercial at face value that they appreciate their customers and are a business of integrity. BEWARE they ARE NOT in my Opinion.  And I am not a tech!!

Integrity : 1. The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.

So let's start with the service call today 04/25/16 at approximately 1100 hours.  The AC is blowing semi cold air and continues to run.  I tell the tech that two years ago freon was added to the unit.
The tech says let me go see the unit, as we are walking out the door he states go turn on the unit as if you were going to cool the house.  (issue number one why am I doing this as the customer ?) I play along.  No sooner did the unit kick on he meets at the back door as I am going out to see what he is doing, and he tells me It is out of freon, I can tell by the sound of the unit
Ok, I say should you not put the gauges on to see how low it may be.  He then begins to tell me how expensive the freon is going to be.  Then states let me go get my gauges.  We go outside and he hooks up the low side, never put the breaker back in and runs the unit, and states see it is out of freon, opens the value and states there is hardly anything. What he does not realize is that I know he is doing nothing but bleeding the line.  I wait to see if he is going to run the unit to put a load on the gauges and let is stabilize.  Never happens, he immediately goes back to trying to sell me a maintenance plan and goes on about the price of 1100.00 and some change for four years etc.
Picks up the gauges again and says see there is no freon and this a 3 ton unit, you're looking at about 800 dollars to recharge and there is a leak so you're wasting your money. Mind you the unit never get engaged to put a load on the gauges.   Again try's to sell me the service plan.  I tell him thank you but, at this point I will most likely use my home warranty I told him that I believed I would have better services with Precision that I would with people the warranty company may send out.   He then states to me go ahead and go inside and turn off the unit while I take my gauges off.   Well at this point I don't trust the guy so I tell him, just leave the breaker out it's ok, as at this point I see nothing but scam written all over this.  Again why is the customer doing anything, that is his job.  I was afraid to walk away and leave him as I did not want my unit sabotaged.   So last he goes outside to the truck to the invoice, comes back in and tells me I just talked to my boss and he said we can do the service plan for 800 and some change.  Now I know this company is nothing more than taking people for money.  He just tried to get me for 1100 then drops the price to 800, so this company was just willing to take me for 400 dollars. I told the tech we are done here, I paid him for the service call and asked him to leave.  INTEGRATIY NOT THIS COMPANY!! I can only imagine how many people they do this too and scare them with high cost! Don't believe the actor on the commercial who claims his company is about the people and his customers.  Not welcome back to my residence EVER!!!

I shopped around for two new AC units. Not only was Precision Air and Heating the best priced, but also they were the most honest, flexible and responsive!

The day of the install, which I thought would take ALL day, but really took about 4 hours. They were courteous, friendly and respectful of our home - I love that they wear booties! Ricky, Willie, and Aaron were great! Ricky was very professional and also very friendly and had lots of patience as I asked him tons of questions! Willie and Aaron did a good job with the install as well.

I am now a Precision Air & Heating loyal customer!

I heard about Precision Air and Heating for years on KTAR and of course on T.V.  They arrived, introduce themselves (Mike and DeeJay), and started working.  Mike showed me all of the dirt that had built up in my system and they put a tarp down to catch the dirt. The guys were friendly, respectable and did not complain about LuLu's barking.
My house feels great and because I have empower I notice my daily cost is lower this past week.  The financing was easy and the monthly payments very reasonable.
Looking forward to the summer with my new air condition.

Didn't fix issue even when I asked them to check the air conditioning fan, which was the issue. Gave me new condenser caps and they have been good in the past but this checkup was a waste of money, they never responded when I called and wanted to talk to someone about it. I'm a former General Contractor.  Retired.  I urge anyone reading Yelp reviews to LOOK ELSEWHERE for A/C service.  Bought 3 yr maintenance package 2 yrs ago when 2 units at home needed cleaning and general review.  Year 1 okay but tech suggested a few replacement parts - one being capacitor.  First concern - bids written on small generic notepad...nothing professional and nothing that can be traced back to company.  That's a huge red flag (if you ever have a contractor dispute, you really have no proof).  And parts were grossly marked up about 1000%.  Little notepad showed $35 retail capacitor installed for $385.  Its a 5 minute job.  Bought part and did it myself.  Year 2 - NO CALL to schedule appointment like I was told.  I called, got apology that they had been really busy.  Tech came out, looked it over and said I really needed new unit and that he was sending someone out to quote me for new units.  I asked for detail quote on Precision paper for what needed to be replaced.  Was told they don't do that, they just write it on blank paper.  Two years same answer.  (And any response from the company to contradict this -  I would submit to a polygraph test that both techs stated this to me when I asked for it written as a quote on something showing the Precision company affiliation.  Not surprising the quote was $12-14K for a 5 ton and 4 ton replacement by them (varying based on SEER rating).  Both units are older but second opinion from other AC firm - lets add some freon which was needed, check for leak as other company said they still had some good life.  Precision didn't offer this.  Year 3 (this year)...again no call from them.  Don't expect one.  They take advantage offering the 3 year service agreement, use it to try to sell you something you don't need, and leave it to you to call them even though sold as Precision will call you each year in Apr/May to schedule site visit.  Oh, and both units still performing admirably.

IF YOU BELIEVE THEY PROVIDE GOOD SERVICE, I JUST ENCOURAGE YOU TO GET A SECOND OPINION.  Even with the second service call, you'll likely save a bunch of $$ long term.

I'll be reaching out to the REGISTRAR OF CONTRACTORS to file a complaint relating to nonperformance on my overpriced, and basically worthless 3-year maintenance agreement (that doesn't really include any valuable review/maintenance..

Haven't really written to many reviews but did want to follow up with precision air.  Just wanted a check up on a AC unit that seemed to be working harder then it should.  Was given a time slot from 1-6 this past Saturday so didn't know when to expect them.  Received a call from Nicole who was very nice stating the tech was in route at 12:15 and would be there shortly.  Matt was very helpful with trouble shooting and prepping me to up-coming concerns I might have to address.  There wasn't any pressure or upselling for services other then information so I could forecast those expenses.  Very professional, and they gave me back my 5 hours on a Saturday so thank you.  Sincerely Jeff J

What can I say about Precision except I love them and they are my go-to company for my A/C. I have the Preventative Maintenance agreement and it was the best decision I ever made. Being able to get free service calls and discounted parts/repairs for my unit has been very helpful to me. I paid for the maintenance agreement when times were better for me financially and it has been helping me out ever since. Had to replace the fans in my units last year...occasionally have to pay for a few pounds of freon in my downstairs unit, but everything is discounted and I am happy because my 10 year old units are still working like clockwork, thanks to Precision.

I had a great experience with Manny V today when he came out to help us with our downstairs unit (which needed its freon top off to go back to being happy again). Manny actually let me know that Precision also does water heaters! This is great, because we need to get ours replaced next month...so we will be calling back to schedule Precision to help us get that done too!

I really shake my head at the negative reviews for Precision that I see on Yelp...I get it, I mean I've been a customer that has had HORRIBLE experiences at places that some co-workers or friends rave about, so I know customer service can't always be consistent with everyone...people are human and they make mistakes. While I can't doubt that some people may have had a bad experience because of communication or people just 'being human' and making mistakes, I definitely don't agree with any of the comments that suggest that Precision rips you off. Every single technician that has come out to my home has been professional and has looked for ways to save me money because I have health challenges that cause me to be off work sometimes and short on cash. No one has ever recommended anything to me that was not useful or tried to hard sell me on something I don't need. They have always given me and my husband options we can discuss together which allows us to make the decision that makes sense for our needs and our finances.

Today, Manny helped us by giving us information on discounts and incentives available when we decide we're ready to purchase a new A/C unit. No pressure, just great information, lets us know what is out there so we can plan ahead for it. I think the technicians who have come out to our home in the past (shout out to Paul as well! Love you bro!!) know us well enough to know that our main priority right now is to keep our current units running as long as possible, so that we have time to save up for the inevitable - and everyone has done their part to do that. That is what I love about Precision...being able to trust who comes out to your home, and trust that they have YOUR best interests at heart and not their own, or their company's bottom line. It's rare to encounter companies with the customer service first mentality, but the ones that have that, and live by it will always FAR out-perform companies who just allow customer service to fall by the wayside while they rake in the money. If you want to know what I mean by that, think of the difference between Chick-fil-A (yay!) and KFC (sucks) or Amazon (yay!) and WalMart (sucks). Kudos to you, Precision and keep up the great work! My husband and I are loyal customers for life! =)

Manny Vela was on time, very polite, respectful and professional. However, as far as Yelp, I'd rather you not collect my personal data, just to leave a review. Then I have to write, in excess of God who knows how many words, just to ensure this company can even see it's review. I'm sure they don't want just the tip! Maybe that's your thing, Yelp. Well I'm not really sure how many more words I need to write. So  's kick tuckus, and Yelp, needs help. Fix this please... God, please be enough. I'm really gonna write a book if I hit post and it isn't enough... Stay woke! Now I see it says that I need to put mustard on that review..... So I'm assuming I still don't have enough words. Geeze, why didn't I just go to Facebook? Oh... Shhhhhhh Yelp is.... Well.... Not so cheap and companies pay by the view in most cases (they'll tell you it's a Plan) OH LOOK!!! THEY ALREADY LIKE MY REVIEW!! WOOT! WOOT! #BOOM #DONE #REVIEWOFTHEYEAR #MERICA

I had to call this company because we purchased a home with a new A/C & heating system installed in the home 3 years prior with the former owner.  When we had it maintenanced from a different company, they had pointed out some major errors with the install.  So we had to call Precision out to check out the installation job that they had done 3 years prior.  From the people in the office to the installation manager (Shaun) it was nothing short of awesome service.  Shaun confirmed the prior installation issues and repaired them on the spot with no questions asked.  Thanks so much.

I was looking into getting my air ducts and AC coil cleaned. Manny came over to the house the same day. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He had me come onto the roof and showed me the AC, components and how they were to be cleaned. He advised me of the pricing, service agreement and also provided me with options to help keep my unit working to its full capacity. He took the time I feel needed to fully explain and answer my concerns and questions. He left me a quote, with zero pressure and advised me to do my due diligence. This was polar opposite of my experience earlier with COIT who basically counted my air ducts and said the AC coil was in my attic. I would definitely recommend Precision Air and Heating. As far as pricing is concerned, they beat COIT by a significant amount.

The Tech. came on time and called prior to his arrival.  He was there diagnosing for a while, then called me back to tell me I had wiring problems and it would cost about $300.00.  I asked what was wrong with the wiring  and he had trouble coming up with something.  After he stammered and mumbled for a while  I asked him again what was wrong and he told me that he was trying to tell me.  I told him that if he didnt know what was wrong with it how did he know how much it would cost.  Then he told me that the thermostat was bad, it has a Nest about 2 yrs. old I asked him if he tested it and he said it isnt doing what its supposed to.  He tried to sell me a new one for $500.00.  I told him they were about $200.00 at Home Depot, then he tried to sell me a maintenance plan, and said if I bought that the thermostat would be cheaper.  I told him to just get the heat pump running on heat and he said he had already removed the wire from the reversing valve and it would run on heat, but would not switch to cool without more work.  I had already paid his company $60.00 for a diagnosis fee.  and he charged me another $211.00 I guess for removing the wire from the valve.  Now I have about $300.00 in a 2 year old unit that I still need to get fixed.  I gave 2 stars because he showed up on time, but did I get my moneys worth?  I dont think so.  I would steer clear of this company no matter what.  I'm looking for someone to service and maintain the AC on 6 houses that I rent, but it wont be these guys.

I had a similar experience as another customer trying to get a NEST installed.  I called precision and explained my situation: I had recently bought a NEST, but my current thermostat is wireless.  So I would need to have a wire run about 4 feet directly above the unit and installed to the unit and the thermostat.  The service agent said that the wire installation would be included in the $60 service fee and installing the NEST would cost $175.  Pricey, but I decided to do it.  They technician showed up as scheduled the next day and I showed him the unit and the thermostat and explained the situation.  I then had to leave for work, but was available by phone.  He called about 15 minuted later and explained that he would need 'a couple of installers' to come and install the wire and that it would cost $625.  I was completely shocked. I was also confused because I thought that service was included in the 'service fee' and thought he was the installer.  There is no way, just absolutely no way that running a wire all of 4 feet should cost $450 and require 2 people to do it.   Clearly I wasn't going to accept a 300% price increase from the already pricey quote I received.  After I told the technician that I wasn't going to pay $625 to have the wire installed he wanted to argue with me about paying a $60 service fee for which he had no basis to collect.  No service was provided.  If he thinks he gets $60 for ringing my doorbell and walking around for 15 minutes then I am changing careers.

I am certain that I adequately explained the situation to the customer service agent and got a quote based on that information.  The technician did not find anything different than what I had described.  So, either the customer service agent doesn't know the business or this was a bait and switch.  Though about 2 stars because he was on time, but decided on one because he was rude on the phone and walked into my house with really, really dirty shoes.

*** UPDATE***
I spoke with Sandra and while she was polite, we didn't get anywhere.  I offered to allow Precision the opportunity to be true to their word and perform the work at the price they quoted and she declined to do so.

Sandra, I made it crystal clear in my initial phone call  that I have a wireless thermostat and that the NEST would need to be wired into the unit and again explained and showed the technician exactly what work had to be done when he arrived. There was no diagnosis needed or performed.

I recently purchased a house and discovered day one we had no heat in January with a 7 month old baby in the house. I called Precision and they were able to get someone out promptly. I was shown many pictures of parts that looked to be in bad shape. The guy who came out called over his field service supervisor. Both were incredibly nice and seemed to be genuinely sympathic of my situation. I was told my unit could be fixed at the tune of $3800 but it was old and would probably fail again and that my refrigerant was going to soon be outlawed causing rising prices of units. The estimate for repair was verbal but I was provided an estimate for prices of a new unit. I elected to get a new unit for $7600. It was installed. The guys were here all day. I bought them pizza. After the replacing of the unit I contacted my insurance to try to get reimbursement. They tried to contact precision and were told they don't deal with insurance. I get it. I work a job that also doesn't deal with insurance. I also provide estimates and document my findings. I have contacted them FOUR times trying to get this information. They have not provided answers to my questions and are being evasive. I have contacted via e-mail, phone, and text. Most recently I called to speak to a manager and was sent to voicemail. I have yet to hear from anyone. The fact that you will not provide this information makes me feel that I've been taken. You got your money and have washed your hands of me. You are awful.

got their tune-up special mid June, thought we had the air go out about 6 weeks later, so we call precision back up, they can't be out for 48 hours..not gonna work. Call another company they come right out and tell us AC is great, the drain was clogged  so the unit shut off as a safety feature and you need a P trap on the drain. But wait Precision Air and their super tune up were just done, they didn't recommend a P trap (they did recommend a $300 dollar start-up motor??). I called Precision air spoke with John in customer service, after explaining the situation he agreed that it appeared that the tech Paul had not flushed the drain or he would have recommended a P trap, and that he didn't even have the correct information on the type of unit put in their system,  so he agreed to refund my money back to my credit card, it has been 3 weeks and no such refund has been made to my card, I have left messages for John and he has not returned my calls.

Very disappointed. First they charge me for a 4 yr contract. Then I call them for a shower mixing valve and they charge me $750. 20 months later it starts dripping. I call them to see how much to fix it and the guy tells me $500. He also told me he would have never put that brand in. I did it myself for under $40. Then they come out for the annual A/C check. 3 months later my bathroom ceiling is on the floor because the A/C pan overflowed. This last time they charged me $96 to replace a 3 amp fuse that I got at Autozone for $0.60. The guy was there 20 minutes. The unit stopped working in 2 days later. Fearing another charge I got up there and looked at it myself. They guy never screwed the panel in ( the screws were sitting on top of the unit) and the safety switch was disengaged. I fixed it in minutes. I'm in need of a new unit this spring. I think I'll call someone else.

Quick service when my A/C quit on a 100 degree + day...which is about everyday in Phoenix. Aaron came out within the hour for an evening service call, had the parts the next day and fixed the unit right away. He was helpful, friendly and got the job done right the first time, which can not be said about the company I used when my A/C broke a few years ago. Office staff also gave me frequent updates as to Aaron's arrival time which was really helpful in knowing when i needed to be home.

So - April rolled around - and it started getting too hot for windows and fans, and I finally broke down and turned on my AC.  After a while, I noticed that the temperature didn't seem to be going down, and the thing was blowing hot air.

Lame.

I've heard about 18,000 commercials for Precision Air and Heating on my favorite sports talk radio station, so I thought what the heck.....and gave them a call.

Precision immediately dispatched a technician (Aaron) to my house.  The initial diagnosis was pretty grim - there were quite a few problems, each more severe than the last.  I was immediately beginning to panic, as I had a 10 day overseas vacation scheduled for the following week, and dropping multiple 1000's on a new AC unit was going to put a serious hurt on my budget for the trip.

Aaron listened to my plight, and he began to work through a series of possible options and fixes with me that were creative to say the least.  I was honestly blown away by his willingness to help me get by for the time being with my piece of junk unit, as well as his deep expertise, great attitude and tenacity.

Bottom line - I'm back in a cool house, Aaron was amazing, and I still get to go on vacation.

Five.  Huge.  Stars.

Thanks Aaron and Precision!!

Casey did a great job with my HVAC inspection.  He made some helpful suggestions for preventative maintenance so that we could prolong the life of our unit.  He was a really nice guy and was good with my kids wanting to know about everything he did!  I'll be calling Precision for my future HVAC needs!  Thanks!

I had several quotes to replace two residential AC Units. Mike in sales, came to the house on time as scheduled, always a positive. We went through everything, Mike went out to his vehicle for awhile, to access square footage, size of units needed, etc. He then presented a proposal. After a couple of days I decided to move forward with Precision and the install was scheduled. The day of the install they sent four Technicians, Anthony, Lance, Matt, and DeShawn. They worked well as a team and I was amazed that everything was completed in a day. When they left you couldn't tell anyone was here, as they cleaned up exceptionally well. The only reason I haven't given a five star, should be 4 1/2. I asked for Precision's insurance documents, and AC warranty, BEFORE I purchased anything and never did receive either. So I felt I did take a chance but luckily everything worked out fine. Thank you to everyone at Precision. I look forward to working with you in the future, as these units need preventative maintenance.

Thom and Brandon were sent out to install new insulation and vents for our attic.
Right off I was very impressed with their professionalism and communication as they began the job.
Even though it was getting pretty hot outside, I felt like they were very committed to making sure the job was done right and that we were satisfied. They also did a good job of explaining what was being done. I was also impressed with how well they did the job with little noise and no mess left behind.
Great experience all around from a company I will definitely be referring to  anyone seeking cooling and heating help.

We bought a very expensive new A/C unit from them and have had nothing but problems.  We even purchased a maintenance plan with them and had the unit tuned up every year.  In three years the unit has broke four times in the middle of summer, leaving us and our young children sweating all night long.  Even though the unit is under warranty and we purchased a maintenance plan, we have had to pay a visit fee every time they came out to look at the unit. All this while our other 17 year old, builders grade A/C unit has not had one problem.  This new unit was supposed to be rated at 16 SEER, yet our electric bills continue to increase every year, everything else unchanged. We will definately look elsewhere when we have to replace our other unit.

We called and left an message requesting urgent appointment since ur AC kept turning itself off.  We received a phone call at 7am inquiring about the problem and their technician Guy arrived within an hour.  Guy took the time to completely evaluate the system, and corrected the problems in a timely manner.  We purchased a maintenance agreement so they can continue to service our AC in the future.  We couldn't be happier with their response time and the service provided by our technician.  We will use Precision Air and recommend them in the future.

I was very disappointed by the first regular call on our PMA.  The tech spent little time actually with the unit, and much of his time selling us on a new unit and duct sealing, which would be nice but is not in our budget.  He said he would return to drain the water heater (part of the agreement) but he never did.  I think he promised to throw in  a new drain valve for the water heater if we sealed the duct work through Precision.   I felt as if we were suckers for purchasing the PMA.  Especially when this tech never followed up with us.

Precision was very apologetic about this first visit and rescheduled us with Jacob.  Jacob was GREAT---he spent plenty of time on the roof, gave me a no-nonsense analysis of the state of our unit, told us that our unit is an excellent one in great condition.  He agreed that duct sealing would help, but not necessary.  He did a great job for us.

Jacob went to work on draining our water heater, which clogged the drain valve.  Without pushing, he explained the nature of the typical valves on water tanks and why they don't work well.  We had him install a larger, permanent ball valve on the tank (for an additional charge).  It took him about 10 minutes to install it and whoosh!...out came all the sediment & salt that was in the bottom of the tank.  It was definitely worth the cost.  The valve can be removed and placed on our next water heater when the time comes to replace the old unit.  It is obviously rugged enough to be the last drain valve we will need.

Precision also sent a field rep to make sure things went well.  This follow up visit was great---what we had hoped for when purchasing the PMA.

I can't say enough good things about the tech.  Jacob worked really hard, is clearly an expert, and left us very satisfied with the state of affairs in our AC & water heating units.  Staying with Precision would be worth it if only for the great service that this pro delivered.  I will be sure to request Jacob for our next PMA visit and for any repairs we might need in the future.

Sincerely,

Joe Richter

The tech James was very nice and knowledgeable...but they charged $311 to put in a $20 part. I saw where it was...definitely not a difficult fix. Took him a matter of 10-15 minutes. He took about 45 minutes start to finish with diagnosis and part replacement. After letting him know that I looked up the part and what it costs, he said that's what we charge in the books. He did try and promote the maintenance package and a lot of parts to maintain my two units totaling about $2,000. I said I just wanted what would get my upstairs unit working now...I'll worry about replacing or fixing the other items when they stop working. Anyway - I'm going to get bids from this point on. UPDATE:  just called another company that is rated A+ with the BBB...they would have charged me $214 for a non-generic start assist unlike the one that Precision put on. The 35 and 5 mfd caps with this company would be $188.21 for BOTH...Precision wants to charge $184.28 for the 35 and $152.94 for the 5 cap. Precision is definitely over priced...I lost $100+ for a generic part.

Nick arrived right on time and got right to work. We bought our a/c unit a year ago and  had a check-up and flush the water heater. He seemed knowledgeable about the a/c and water heater. We did end up having to replace the plastic spicket on the water heater because it was still leaking after he drained it (he told us this would probably happen because the water heater was 10+ years old). We also purchased the 4 year Preventative plan. I felt a little bit cornered as I had to decided right then (as opposed to checking with my husband). I definitely wasn't planning on spending so much money on a check-up but we got a fantastic price on our a/c unit so I'm ok with the unexpected cost. Nick explained everything great and also arranged for a sales manager to come out within 20 min for a quote for a remodel. He was also flexible as I had my son coming and going to school.

Amazing service that exceeds expectations- and I am impossible to please. My business depends on keeping tenants satisfied and I need fast, dependable service at a fair price.  That is exactly what I got from Precision Air & Heating.

I had a townhome that sat vacant for several years and when I went to turn on the system it immediately broke. I called Precision at 1 PM and they had a repair technician at the residence within a couple hours, diagnosed the problem, and were back to replace the compressor by 6 PM that same day. This was on June 27 and it was hot, hot, hot...who offers this type of service? It is rare to find and company that does what it says it's going to do, so add these guys to your contacts as they are one of the good guys.

We did quite a bit of work on this and other units that week and I had some questions for the service manager. When I left a message for him, I got a call from the Owner to make sure I was satisfied with the service- I was. What Owner calls customers to make sure they are satisfied? Answer: Only the ones that care about their customers and their reputation.

I will use Precision from now on.

Our A/C unit was blowing hot air on a Saturday so I called to schedule an appointment - next available one was on Sunday which was great. I was told a technician would call 1/2 hour before coming over and would be here between 1-6pm. I told them I needed to leave by 4pm and they said no problem. I'm used to the drill so I stayed close to home all afternoon - no call. I called at 3:20pm and they said they wouldn't be able to get someone over and needed to reschedule. A total waste of my time. Thanks Precision Air.

Precision Air and Heating rocks! I was over whelmed by having to replace my old rickety A/C unit and Furnace. One call and they sent someone out for a free appointment to see what I was working with. Everything was made so simple for me and I was set for an install the next week! JOSE and KEITH arrived for the install and COMPLETELY rocked it! They never stopped working for one second. They finished quickly leaving a clean work area and I had the entire rest of the day to enjoy in my ice cold air. Thanks Precision Air!

Aaron came out and took a look at our AC unit, as it wasn't working.  He took great time and attention to troubleshoot the issue.  He spent 20 minutes talking to us about the issue and our possible options.

Precision wasn't the first company we called, but it surely will be the last, because they were great.

----------------------------------------
Updated review a week later:
----------------------------------------

We had another company that was referred to us from a friend.  That company came out and took a great deal of time troubleshooting the issue.  Precision Air recommended that we NEEDED a new unit.  Our unit is only 4 years old.  The other company found the root cause of the issue, and it was not the unit itself, but a value that was creating a blockage.

Precision Air also told us we didn't have enough coolant to run the unit.  Again the other company actually checked to see how much coolant we actually had, and then added in the amount of coolant we needed.  That ended up being about a half a pound.

Precision Air was recommended a $8000 cost to replace our AC unit and add coolant.  None of that was the case at all, and the total cost to get our AC running again about about 15% of that cost.

I feel I was purposefully mislead to get more money out of me.  Upon further investigation, it turns out many companies work on a sales base system.  So the service people make the most money if they produce more service.  I don't know if that is how Precision works, but they assured us we needed $8000 worth of work, when we really didn't.

That isn't good at all!  I'm glad we were able to find another company that was honest, experienced and knowledgable so we paid what we really needed to pay, and only had fixed was we needed to be fixed.  It's not cool when companies mislead people just to get the most money out of a customer.  That is what I feel Precision Air did to us now that everything is said and done.

I called Precision Air & Heating after my ac started blowing warmer air. James S came out to take a look at what was going on within a few hours of calling Precision Air. Not only did he keep us informed every step of the way he also provided great customer service. He is great at what he does and deserves kudos and then some for going above and beyond. He also had our AC going again within an hour of arriving to my home and with a new born that was great. Thank you James for your outstanding customer service and we will be requesting James to do our annual tune ups.

Precision Air is a well run company that prides itself on providing great customer service...which is hard to find these days. They not only kept their word to honor a warranted job, they drove to Tucson to obtain a compressor that I needed as there was not one available in Phoenix. And it was on a Friday so I didn't have to suffer through the weekend.

Thanks again Precision Air!

Have a maintenance contract with these folks and their prices for parts are absolutely ridiculous.  Was charged 216 for a transformer, it's a $20 part.  I get overhead, labor, gas, truck maintenance, marketing etc.  but an 1100 percent up charge???   On top of the control board that had a 400% up charge.  That was all with my discount.   Find an ethical company to business with.  On a positive note the technicians were helpful despite the gouging the management has in place

I have been dealing with Precision Air for the last 2 years and have never had a complaint until yesterday. Ricky came out to do the annual preventative maintenance check up. When he finished, he came in and explained that there were 3 things that needed attention in order to keep the unit working at its best. He explained what each item did to keep the unit working properly, and told me the price of each. When I told him that I didn't have the money right now so I couldn't do it at this time, he continued to push at least 1 of the services at which time I explained again that I just don't have the money right now. He stated that he understood, that he has a 1 year old and money is always tight. I then explained, this was a single income household, that I survive on retirement, and was waiting to get paid. He finally stopped, but encouraged that I write a review here which would get a $50 credit towards a future service that he was recommending. It seemed that he was really pushing, possibly to get a commission, I'm not sure, but that's how it felt.

We had lost power to our thermostat and did not know how to fix it.  We called Precision Air and a service rep, Louis D, came out the next day. He found a hidden fuse that had burned out and soon our HVAC was running. He also did a tune up on our HVAC and helped my husband install the new programmable thermostat we had purchased. We decided to purchase a 4 year maintenance contract with them, since Louis knew exactly how to fix our HVAC in a short time. We feel this is a company we can depend on to keep our Arizona  winters warm and our summers cool. Thanks!

I've been using Precision Air for A/C/furnace/plumbing service ever since I moved to Mesa and have been extremely happy with their service. They always call with a reminder the day before, and call again 30 minutes before the technician arrives to let me know he's on his way so I can be prepared. I've scheduled multiple services via their chat feature on their website, a feature I have really enjoyed. Aaron Aliser installed a new A/C return air grille for me this morning. AC out in Aug is no fun.  Same day service was much appreciated.  Customer service was good.  Chris, the AC technician was pleasant to work with and had me up and running quickly. I thought the cost for the condenser fan replacement was a bit high.  Also, 4 year maintenance plan cost was too high.  But other than price, appreciated the service and would consider using Precision again in the future.

The response time and quality of service was excellent in my first experience working with Precision.  Jacob was our technician and he did a thorough job of diagnosing the problem.  It was not obvious from the onset and he took the time to really figure it out instead of condemning parts that were working perfectly well.  The cost of the visit and the new thermostat we bought was steep but we were back up and running with our AC blowing plenty of cold air.  One suggestion would be to offer simpler, non-programmable thermostats at a lower price.  As it was, we had an expensive Nest thermostat that was the culprit and we just needed a 'stand-in' until we could get the Nest exchanged under warranty.  Now I have two very expensive thermostats!

Just had a problem with our A/C yesterday.  Called Precision Air and Heating early in the day  They were able to come out in the late afternoon.  My A/C tech was James.  Good guy, very professional.  He did a decent job and was able to fix the A/C unit fairly quickly.  It was a simple problem, and he diagnosed it almost immediately.

My A/C unit had a bad capacitor.  The Cap that was bad was a dual-element cap.  James replaced it with two separate caps.  The prices of the caps were about $190 and about $150, for a total of about $340.

Later, James showed me the book prices of these parts.  The tech is only charging what he was told to charge, so he is not in any way to blame.  That said, looking these parts up on line, the caps were anywhere from about $5 each up to about $20, depending on the source.  And the dual-element cap is also available, for prices anywhere from about $8 to about $50.

Now, I'm a business person, too.  I get that there is a cost associated with stocking parts and running trucks and paying technicians.  The service I received from Precision was good. The tech checked out the unit pretty thoroughly.  However, $400 for ~1 h of work, and for parts that probably cost them ~$20 was a little on the high side for Phoenix, IMHO.

In addition, the tech tried to sell me on signing up for a 4 year maintenance agreement for an additional $600.  The agreement would cover HVAC and plumbing.  Their agreement gives you free service calls for the 4 years, and a discount on parts.  It seemed like something of a sales pitch.  That said, the tech is probably TOLD he has to do this.

Again, I'm not saying Precision didn't do a good job.  I just think they were WAY more expensive than they should have been, probably by a factor of 2-3X.  Yes, I realize they have to eat, too, but so do I.

Had a problem with our gas heating unit not coming on.  Chris H was our serviceman and was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and a pleasure to talk to.  He walked me through what was wrong (bad thermostat) and other recommendations he would suggest.  He was not pushed and fully understood our position and what we wanted to do.  We ended up getting the  4 year warranty plan and everything he did was included in this visit to include another Thermostat for our other gas heater so they both matched.  If I have any problems in the future I would not hesitate to call Precision Air & Heating.  I can't understand any of these other poorer ratings based on our service call.  Thanks Chris and it was a pleasure working and talking with you.

Awful customer service. I called to schedule a tune up and was told by Erika that they had no time. She said they have a service call appointment available between 5-9 for a $59.95 trip fee. I told her I would need to speak to my husband. I called back and talked to Anna to schedule the appointment for tonight who told me there wasn't anything available. I told her I just spoke to Erica who said there was. She came back  and said she could get us in but it would be closer to 9. I said that was fine. After she got all of my info she said she didn't have anything available until tomorrow because our unit is working. I told her it was running loud and seemed to be not cooling as well and that I have a toddler and a dog in the home and I wanted to get it checked out before something happened. This company doesn't care about the customers. Read and trust the reviews.

In July our AC went out. We are preferred customers with Precision Air, having paid for a service agreement with them for over 10 years, in which they promise  24/7 preferred service. We expected a quick response, however it took them a week to send a service tech out to fix it. Meanwhile our house got to 96 degrees. They had a that's your problem attitude. Then they charged us for 5 hours of labor when it took 3.5 hours.  When we called them on it, they had the same attitude. July 31st, the AC stopped working again. It wasn't until August 8th before they could get the defective part to us and fix it again. Part of the delay was they cancelled the order for the part because they had erroneously put a  note in our file that we were going to check with our home warranty to get the service done(which we don't even have). When the error was discovered, they wanted us to pay for expedited shipping of the part! We refused, and when the part came in, it was not the correct part so there was an additional delay.  If you want to read the whole story, because there were numerous mistakes this company made, you can go to the Better Business wesbsite and read my entire review and their response....which was comical!

Trying to be proactive with my old ac units, I contacted Precision Air in Feb for tune ups on my two units. I was able to schedule my appointment online and received friendly customer service when following up. Eddie was my tech and was professional, informative and extremely thorough.  During his inspection his field supervisor Chad showed up to see how he was doing and they both continued with the inspection and ended up repairing and updating what could be done to extend the life of my old units. I upgraded my tune up to a 4 year maintenance package ( I highly recommend this) and was discounted on many of the repairs that needed to be done that day.  I had not turned my ac on again until a few days ago, at which point I noticed only the fan was blowing for my downstairs unit, no cool air was coming out. I quickly called precision air and once again received very friendly customer service, as a preferred customer because of the maintenance plan I purchased they offered to send someone out that night.  It was evening and much cooler so the next day was fine with me.   This time my tech was Chris, who was also very professional and friendly.  I opted to replace the compressor and fan motor after being given a couple options of repairs or replacements and did not feel I was pressured one way or the other and after Chris made a couple phone calls to his boss I was given even better pricing then originally quoted and Chris came back the next morning to complete the job.  I recommend Precision Air and Heating to anyone who's looking for friendly and professional help with their ac unit(s).

Be prepared to be nickel and dimed, and don't believe their advertising!

My wife and I saved our hard earned money for over a year and purchased a $6,000 Train unit back in January through Precision Air.  We had just found out we were expecting our first child so we wanted to get the new unit installed well before Summer to avoid any potential AC issues while she would be 7-9 months pregnant.  About six weeks ago, our new unit wasn't cooling properly so I called the 602-FIX-MY-AC number around 10pm on a Saturday night and I was told someone would call me in the morning (however their advertising claims 24 hour emergency service).

In the morning, someone did call me and sent a rep out.  He was very nice, however he informed me that we had a drain line clogged and it would cost $140 to take care of the job.  I told him I refused to pay anything after spending $6,000 just a couple months earlier.  He tried to tell me it was a pre-exisiting condition and it wouldn't be covered on the warranty.  I declined the service and opted to use a wet-vac and do the job myself.

The next day, I got a phone call asking about my service and I told them how I was displeased.  They then had the owner Erik Bryan call me directly (which I thought was a great customer service move on their part).  I professionally explained my displeasure and he too told me they wouldn't do anything without $140.  Isn't forgetting about the $140 and doing the job worth it to take care of a brand new customer and preventing them from going on Yelp and telling people about the bad service they were given?  Erik did not like this question and basically told me he would rather not even do business with black-mailers.  He then offered me a discount of $40 if we had the work done, but still tried to sell me by saying this offer was only good if I got the job done that day.  I also told him about the false advertising claims of their 24-hour emergency service and he told me he would get that straightened up with the call-center.

Well fast forward to this evening and our unit isn't working again.  I called the number and was told a 24 hour emergency service tech would only be sent out if the unit was installed within the last 30 days.

I refuse to use this company and I will tell all my friends to not use them.  They will nickel and dime you for every penny and still show no sympathy for you in a my house is 87 degrees, humid, and I have a very pregnant wife, please help situation.

First thing: If this actually gets to the main page for the business, I would suggest that if you're looking at this, you should check out the enormous number of non-recommended reviews (at the time of this writing, over 200) relative to the very small number of recommended reviews. I'm not sure why this is the case, but I should have noticed before. Also notice that some other businesses do not have this 1:20 ratio, where most reviews are censored out.

I have an older (14 yr old) A/C unit that has been running fine, but wanted to get a tune-up because I'm looking to rent out my home soon. The tech, Nick, was courteous, pretty fast, and explained things reasonably well if a little too salesmanlike for my taste. Nick did the inspection and let me know that my unit had 3 capacitors out of tolerance. Again, not totally unexpected given the age of the unit, and it's very likely the parts were original.

Now for the cons:

1. Price. The two extra capacitors that didn't come with the tune-up cost $139.78 and 155.24, respectively. From what I can tell, a capacitor should cost around $20. Now, I understand it's reasonable to expect to pay for the skill of the tech to install it and the time it takes to do so. However, in this case, the tech was already at my house and the install took like 10 minutes. If I were smarter, I would have declined and had someone else come out after shopping around. I am pretty sure I got burned. I would have felt fine paying $100 labor for 10 minutes, but the marking up of two simultaneously installed parts seems greedy on their part.

2. The upsell aspect. This is less important than the first, and I get that basically every business does this, but I don't like being blinded with science about some shady maintenance agreement.

I guess what was most disappointing to me was that in their ads, Precision specifically makes mention of how other companies' tune-ups are really not tune-ups because they don't include enough stuff, and then when you get done it's $400-600 before it's all through. Well, I went with them and it came to $478. I don't doubt that the work needed to be done, but 500+% markup on part installations when the tech was already here seems excessive. Live and learn.

We've used Precision for a few properties in the valley for over 10 years. , We did save on parts over the years with their maintenance agreement. They are always able to quickly get us scheduled in. This summer alone they saved us from having to purchase a new unit.  This unit (1 of 2) was from 1999 and we paid a fraction of the cost to repair vs purchasing new. They did not try to convince us or (sell us on) that we needed a new one either. James was a super friendly and knowledgeable technician.  He was very polite and explained in detail step by step what had occurred etc.  A few weeks later, the 2nd unit had a capacitor burn out (our units have been running non stop w/the sticky summer we've had). Yes, bummer we had to shell out $ again not in our budget, but we requested James again and he repaired it in no time and we've had no issues since.  Now, this week, Brock came out as water was dripping down a wall (coil lines were clogged up due to all the monsoon/humidity this summer). We didn't notice the overflow trap was dripping outside and the attic pan was overflowing.  We're familiar with this issue as it happened before to us in an a former home. Brock was professional and took the time to explain what was going on and what he intended to do to resolve the issue. Good reminder to be vigilant on your overflow exit pipes on the sides of your house!

I first contacted Precision Air and Heating on Dec 18, 2014.  My technician was Mike Boone.  Our one unit was running but not producing any heat.  I chose Precision as they were the vendor that had installed the units in this home (only with the previous homeowners).  Mike was very courteous.  I was told we had a refrigerant leak and would need to have that repaired as well as have 8 pounds of refrigerant pumped into the condenser unit.  Mike told me that he spoke to his Manager and for only a few hundred dollars more they would include the cost of all of the repairs AND include a Precision Link Membership and 2 Honeywell thermostats, which they could then monitor for me.  Mike checked out both of our AC units and water heaters.  I was told our one water heater would need a new anode rod for $178 (I declined this svc).  The total cost: $1,172 invoice 305441.  On July 17, 2015 I called Precision because our AC condenser was running but the inside unit was not circulating air.  Louis D. was our technician.  Turns out our blower motor failed.  We also had clogged drain lines on both of our units.  The cost to flush 2 drain lines, install 2 drain line devices and replace our blower (which was under warranty) was $930, invoice 315459.  After speaking with his Manager, Louis informed me that for just $2,100 they could install UV lights on both of our indoor units (and do all of the other work we needed) as we have formicary corrosion and UV lights prevent formicary corrosion.  We declined that service and after researching and speaking with another professional, UV lights do ZERO to prevent formicary corrosion.  Formicary corrosion is a chemical reaction.  UV lights might be beneficial if I had allergy issues.  The best part of this whole visit, the blower I needed was not available in AZ and had to be shipped from CA.  Expected arrival was Tuesday.  So including Friday, I'm looking at 5 days with no AC to our bedrooms.  The cost to me to replace the blower, which is under warranty, is $480 (originally $600 but I received a 20% discount).  Louis also told me that when he returned to replace my blower he would also bring someone with him to make sure my units weren't pulling water back into the system.  He was also unable to determine where my one AC unit line drains so he tells me he will fix everything properly when he returns.  I receive a call from Precision on Tuesday around 2pm informing me that my blower had arrived but it was too late for them to pick it up and the best they could do was install the blower on Wednesday between 1-6pm.  I guess when you have AC it really doesn't matter how long your customers wait without it.  On July 22, 2015 Louis returns, invoice 315473.  I am out of town so my husband handles the service call.  Louis returns with no one, as he previously stated he would.  My husband questions the labor cost of $600 to replace the blower.  Louis informs him that the hourly rate is $125.  Louis was at our home for 3.5 hours total between the 2 visits.  At $125 that's $437 (without any discount).  $600 at 3.5 hours is $171 an hour.  Best part of this visit, Louis decides it's easier to move our drain line to a floor drain instead of the wall drain (since he's not sure where the wall drain leads).  I could have done that for FREE, instead I paid $225 for him to flush a drain line we are no longer using and install a drain line device I now don't need b/c he opted to have our unit drain to the floor.  On July 31, 2015 invoice 316294 Cameron arrived to do our yearly maintenance check.  Precision has been calling me over and over to schedule our yearly maintenance (yet it's only been 6 months since they were last out).  I thought the idea was to come out once a year.  Cameron informs me that our one water heater will need to be replaced (same one that Mike said needed a new anode rod).  It's a 2004 water heater so I don't dispute that it needs to be replaced.  He never checks our 2nd water heater.  Also, the same unit that Louis checked on last week, Cameron finds that my run capacitors are low and could fail at any time (I guess Louis didn't check that when he was here??).  Tells me it would be costly.  I thank him and let him know that I'm done spending money at this time and will take our chances.  I feel like I'm buying a car every time a technician comes to my home.  Yes they are courteous, but I'm tired of hearing about how they've talked to their Manager and for only x amount of dollars more they can do x, y and z for me.  Just fix the problem I called about.  Don't sell me UV lights and tell me that they prevent formicary corrosion. Because If you truly believe they help with corrosion then we have a bigger issue - you aren't knowledgeable in your field.  So either they aren't knowledgeable in their field or they are just trying to make as much money as they can off of a customer who expects that they are telling me the right thing.  I'm done being fooled and disappointed.

Updated Review-Issue has been resolved.

Here is a summary

Cameron and service was great and extra work was done at no charge.  I was promised $50 discount and told at the last minute it was not valid.(Corporate red tape). Not so much the $ amount as much as principle. Very awkward situation For both the consumer as well as technician.

Contacted later and my frustrations were addressed,  Was given a 50 credit as well as a future discount.

Will be contacting again when my AC system goes out.  Ive had 3 companies look at my unit and precision was by far the best.

This companies employees are commission based and will absolutely milk you dry.... then offer to finance a new unit. I had a NIGHTMARE experience with these guys... they practically rebuilt the unit and it still didn't function. About 800 dollars later a new company came out , diagnosed the problem IMMEDIATELY. Put in a new control board and voila, good to go!

I've had a contract with Precision for quite a few years and have always been pleased with the technicians who came out.  This year Aaron came to me door and he was quite personable and low key.  Perhaps because he did not hard sell, and he seemed to be working with me to see what was NEEDED and what I could afford at the time vs what would be good to do but not urgent, I did get some cleaning done.  He felt like a partner in keeping my mature AC unit running as long as possible.  He completed the work efficiently and even went above and beyond in helping me assess a potential water heater issue.  Sometimes Precision seems a little expensive to me, and I've compared a bit with other places, but the techs have always been good...so maybe they're worth a bit more.

After my heating went out this winter, I called this company for repairs.  Because I am a single mother, the house was cold, I agreed to their repairs despite the expense which seemed pricey at the time.  Not only did they charge $615 for a motor that  other companies I checked later would have charged me $ 240-340 for, they charged me $179 for a capitator that goes for $ 15-20. Also, I told the TRANE technitian I talked to they put in a motor that was 1/4 HP and he said was too weak for my system and they don't even install it anymore. He said they should have used a 1/2 HP
Bottom  line -  I found two companies that would have repaired my system for less than $500, and I was charged nearly $1100 - -
  **   GO SOMEWHERE  ELSE!!  **

01/28/2011  the comment from Lisa found above my review is a prime example of the typical sarcastic rude attitude she and the others at Precision have. I repeat  -  take your business elsewhere

I had a great experience with Don the sales person when he worked up my quote. I told him I would need to think about it and figure out which unit I would be getting. The price and warranty was the biggest factor for me. Don called a few days later for a follow up.

Today Mike and DeeJay came out to replace my air conditioner that was 20+ years old. Both were very professional and helpful in explaining everything they were going to do. They completed the job in a timely matter and cleaned up before the left. I am very happy with the work that was done inside and out.. They even helped me set up my wifi thermostat. I will refer Precision Air to others.

We have had Precision out to our house several times. We have a yearly maintenance plan thru them that we paid for a few years ago. I think it has been worth it. I like that they call me every year to schedule my free maintenance check up. We had a tech come today, Austin Allen, and he did good. He could've been a little more friendly and upbeat...but he was fine. I think the prices they charge are a little inflated. Overall I am satisfied with Precision, nothing more, nothing less.

I had worked satisfactorily with Precision Air until they called me relentlessly in Feb 2016. I told them to stop calling and I would schedule in May.  When they didn't stop calling, I called another AC company who came out and found that the new Goodman Air Conditioner put in in Jan 2015 was not working at all..no freon and a part inside had been welded improperly. I was not going to call them back!

The technician, Eddie was very professional and knowledgeable.  He checked the A/C unit and found the contactor was bad.  I told him I had a Home Warranty, and he suggested I call them to see if this part was covered.  I called and it was covered.  Eddie was excellent to  work with and I would recommend very highly.  Also, he served his country as a Marine.

From the first call through to installation of my new AC units, these guys delivered outstanding service. I especially want to personally thank Don who came out and spent the time patiently explaining the many options with me. Also I really want to thank the technicians, Guy and Eric, who politely and professionally spent the day installing the units. You guys rock!!! Everything this company promised me was delivered in the exact manner and time frame they told me.

At 8:00 PM my home ac started to turn off and on intermittently and the house was heating up fast.  After calling several ac repair businesses that offer 24/7 only to find that they either didn't answer the phone or had a service that could only promise I'd get a call back tomorrow, I tried Precision.  Not only did I get a someone on the phone, but they were knowledgeable and helpful.  The tech who answered the phone suggested the batteries in my thermostat might be bad.  I replaced the batteries and...PROBLEM SOLVED!  Precision is the real deal and I can't thank them enough for delivering on their 24/7 advertisement and the help they provided on the phone.  Precision is the REAL DEAL for 24/7 ac repair and support.

Had an estimate for a new unit install. They seem more interested in getting me to finance a ridiculous amount rather than pay cash for what I actually need. Prices are $2000 over every other estimate I received. Salesman was nice but made it a point to tell me that they are priced higher than most as they are a large company with higher overhead

I currently have a PMA agreement with Precision Air because I was totally fed up with another valley HVAC company. I had my first visit on the PMA and am completely happy I have a contract with them. Nick, my technician was quick and completed the service call to my satisfaction. I appreciate them having a 24 hour emergency number and the professionalism of the company. Prices are very fair and competitive.

We just signed a new service contract with Precision and today was our first inspection. We've been customers for several years but it had been a couple of years since we've dealt with this company. Mike Johnson came over and was very professional and thorough. The one suggestion he had was something we really needed and the discount from having the service contact provided a great discount. We have some faucets that need replacing so if the technician isn't Mike, he's definitely set the expectation benchmark!

Have had a couple of service agreements with Precision. Recently (4/2013) had a valve replaced on the unit outside. The technician (Mark) who spotted the issue, during a routine pre-summer checkup, recommended the repair and was the only one since using Precision who actually used his pressure kit to check the pressure in my system. Mark's service was excellent. Previous techs would only check splits inside during annual pre-summer checkups and in a couple of cases recommended unneeded services.

Today's service by Harlan was excellent. He took the time to explain what I thought was an issue which turned out to be normal operation. He also checked the unit outside to ensure it was functioning properly and noticed a potential future issue that was easy to remedy.

Chris was great.  Even checked our warranty (on the A/C unit we bought from Precision) to see if anything was covered.  Unfortunately, what happened wasn't covered, but we had no cool and they came to the house within two hours of me calling!!  My only disappointment is that you have to have the actual email with the cool cash IN HAND (that you get from writing one of these reviews) in order for them to apply the discount to the service.  Kind of a bummer, but I'll know for next time.  ;-)  Other than that, service was great and they had our AC working again in no time at all.  Thanks, Chris!!

We had  Claude come out today for a free estimate to replace our current A/C unit.  He was very thorough, looking in the attic, outside, and assessing the needs of our home.  We are still shopping around, however, since the quote seemed a bit high, but otherwise we would have no hesitation giving Precision our business.

About a year ago I purchased 2 new units from my home.  Totally about $16,000.  On a Friday, I called first thing and ask for service because one of my units was not working.  I was told by the miss on the phone that it would be Monday afternoon before I could have service.  I thought that it was odd that a customer who had purchased new equipment would be put to the back of the line.  I am happy with my units themselves but I guess I expected more loyalty from them.  I obviously could not go all weekend without service so I scheduled service from a competitor.  Who incidentally was there on Friday.

Let me just start by saying that overall this was an EXCELLENT experience. We recently bought a new home and we had to replace the hvac system asap. We were stressed and wanted it done right the first time. I shopped a few quotes from some partner companies of ours and I thought they were good until we met Claude from Precision. That's where the quote shopping stopped. We were sold immediately. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of our exact needs. It was not an easy job due to the limitations of our existing system. Claude was able to assess the requirements for a completely new system in a fraction of the time the other companies took. He even found numerous things that they never did and would have been crucial to a proper installation. He had the quote to us the same day and that was it. They offered better products & were also less expensive than all of the others. It was a win win. No question. We scheduled the installation immediately, about a week out. Installation day came and the crew arrived earlier than expected. Guy & Eric are truly an amazing duo. They were very polite, friendly, and extremely knowledgable. They got right to work and didn't waste anytime. Very hard workers! Without any major complications the installation went exactly as planned. This was a direct result of a proper and thorough consultation. The end result was clean and done right. The system is amazing & runs very efficiently as promised. Don't look any further if you need anything related to your HVAC system. In my opinion this company strives to be the best at what they do and it shows in every aspect of working with them. I also wanted to say another thank you to their management team. They too are amazing at what they implement within their organization. Thanks again for everything you did for us!  Dale & Lisa

One of our A/C units was blowing warm air late one Saturday evening and I submitted an on-line repair request. Within 10 minutes a nice lady called me and we talked about scheduling an appointment. She also gave me a couple things to do to see if I could jump start the unit, and low and behold it worked!  I replaced the battery in the thermostat, and just cut the power to the outside unit and the air handler for 10-15 minutes and turned everything back on and it worked!  I went ahead with the appointment we made just to have the unit checked out.  As standard practice they scheduled me for a 6 hour block of time the next Monday, 7:00 am - 1:00 pm. On Monday morning they called at 7:00 AM and asked if we were still wanting them to come out and I said yes, and she told me the tech was on the road. I thought she was telling me that he'd be right there, but evidently that wasn't the case, since he didn't show up until 1:20 pm.  Someone did call about 15 minutes before he arrived, just as I was about to call them.  Anyway, the unit checked out alright, but he wanted to sell me a fan motor ($650) and some sort of start booster for the compressor ($277). Since the units are 13 years old I told him I'll wait until something breaks.  Anyway, I appreciated the tips on getting things going when we first noticed the problem, and the tech that came out seemed okay.  The price quoted for the parts seemed really high and I'm glad they weren't actually needed (yet).

I have used Precision 2 years in a row now.  My Technician Aaron was very thorough, personable and patient with all of my questions.  One of my questions required the sq footage of the house and he actually took a measuring tape out and measured the house to make sure he answered my questions with correct information. He then sat down and took the time to answer all of my additional questions.  I have had no issues with precision and will continue to use them for all Future Maint needs.  Thanks Aaron and Precision

I chose this company for a tune up because of their advertisement on the radio. Claiming not to sell you things you don't need... I set up the appt for a future date but they immediately called me asking if I could do it same day. They were supposed to be there between 2-6 but were there before 2 even though I had to get out of work to run and meet them and he was irritated that I was not there even earlier. I felt he took advantage of me because I was a woman. He spent a long time telling me I needed everything... wanted to sell me a new unit sight unseen because it was 16 years old. Then wanted to sell me individual services like $350 to clean coils, $300 for this part, $250 for that part... I should get additional ventilation done, I should pay $590 for a maintenance service... I felt pressured and he still hadn't finished the tune up. I had to ask him to blow out the condensation overflow which is part of the service I paid for and he charged me an additional $95 saying he needed to use nitrogen to clean it out. I feel taken. I would never call them again!!

Response to Sandra 4/16
Sandra, I appreciate that you took the time to follow up on your company's review. However, I believe your intent was to save face. As I stated the tech was there BEFORE 2 and to his own admission more than once. To elaborate on my frustrations, I also received 4 calls from your company to confirm the appt AFTER I had already called back to confirm that I would take the same day appt from 2-4 mind you this all occurred over a couple of hours time. Do they not talk to one another? It appears to me to be false advertising on your company's part if you advertise your techs would not be pushy when all he did was try to upsell after I clearly stated I only wanted the tune up. Nothing was wrong with my unit. I just had it serviced last year. Believe me, I would not have taken my time and energy to write a review if it wasn't out of line.

Nothing professional about this company. My brand new unit was installed wrong, which caused the condensation to leak through my ceiling. I woke up to a complete mess and a waterlogged ceiling which had to be repaired as well as another expensive fix for the AC unit. The 3 Stooges once said, Don't worry, we always fix it right the 2nd time! These guys can't even do that. A completely shady business to be avoided at all costs.

I recently moved into an older home and needed my old Lennox A/C checked out.  Everything was running OK, with NO problems but I wanted a professionals opinion.  I contacted Precision Air and Heating based on an advertisement I heard on the radio and the information on their web page. I scheduled the Complete AC Tune-up for $159.95.

Nick came out to do the Complete AC Tune-Up.  He was a nice guy, on-time and very polite. Unfortunately, I missed out on my 35 point diagnostic evaluation and condensate drain line flush.  Nick did checked the CAP, the pressure, the electrical, the amped motor but that's 4 points....missing something.  From what he did check. thing was OK.  He also washed the condenser coils and I received the piece of washable poly foam, which is suppose to be my filter... but with NO framing.

Because the AC unit is old, Nick did suggest getting a Field Supervisor out to quote me a new AC/Heating unit and/or starting on a one of their service programs.  Great sales pitch.

Was the Completed AC Tune-up worth 159.95, plus tax.  I think Not.  Will I call again, I don't think so.

Arrived promptly for maintenance on my 2 air conditioner/heating units. Replaced condenser fan motor in 1 unit and run capacitors in both units.  Verified readings with me before doing the work.   Flushed hot water tank. Installed 2 new thermostats.  Mike Boone was very conscientious and I appreciated his attention to detail.  4 stars instead of 5 because I think they're a little pricey.

I have been with Precision for a few years, including absolute wonderful service when my system went out on the hottest day of the year three years ago. By coincidence it was the same day I paid off my house. The only reason they do not get 5 stars or more is the fact that seldom is my unit not in need of something. Even the new unit needed a part after only a year in service. Precision is a most reputable company, but I question if I am being taken advantage of when the service tech shows up. I am due for another in a couple of weeks. I am already wondering what this visit will cost or if I will be told my unit is fine.

After speaking to Sandra in the office I would like to give kudos. We talked about my concerns she was very willing to listen and we came to a mutual agreement as to how to move forward. I will be using Precision in the future. I understand that companies can't please everyone but when they step up and make things right that goes a long way in my book. Thanks Sandra for listening and making my experience a good one.

Precision responded to our call for help regarding our new AC that had stopped working the following day.  They sent Aaron the technician and he noticed that there were a couple of items not installed correctly and took the time to repair the items.  he spent quite a bit of time out there and Im sure he went beyond the call of duty to insure things were in top working order.  We are now able to sleep in a cool home again!

Precision air was reliable and fast. They came out the same evening. Our technician, Aaron, was professional and explained everything well. I feel they were a little pricey but overall a good experience.

Indoor Blower Motor went out on our Trane AC unit on Friday they were able to come out for half the price of the other company on a Saturday morning so we were hopeful. The technician came out and diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes but then mentioned that trane parts center is closed on Saturdays so they wouldn't be able to do anything until Monday. He said he couldn't quote me the hourly charge everything has to go through the office. Called first thing on Monday morning and was told they would call back within an hour. Called back an hour and a half later and then was told again that they would call back in an hour and then they finally called back a few hours later and said the part was ordered and quoted $500+ for a 1 hour repair that the part was under warranty (the unit is under 4.5 years old). Called accutemp and they were able to come repair it on Tuesday for $280 for the same problem. Precision has a reasonable $59.95 fee for a Saturday but will come out and charge you even though they know they can't get parts on a Saturday to fix your unit and then gouge you for the repair. Lost $60 dollars but learned a lesson that I will be telling everyone I know about.

I contacted this company to come out and give me a quote on a new system.  I was told that I would be charged $75 just for them coming out and trying to earn MY business.  Now I understand every company can charge whatever they want, but that is ridiculous.

Had the Tune up special for $159.95 by Tech Austin Allen.  He encouraged buying a new unit for greater efficiency and signing up for 24/7 monitoring, but he was courteous when I said not interested at this time.  Austin was friendly and helpful and provided a good service.   Peggy J

We got a call from Emily to let us know our tech was on his way. Shortly after, Nick showed up and introduced himself. He said he would go out back first and check out the unit before coming inside.  He explained everything he was doing while he was doing it and told me what may need to be replaced in the near future. He explained the extended service plan and pricing but was not pushy on trying to make the sale. He came inside to check the unit in the attic (he wore booties, thank you) and told me that there is a minor issue that I could do myself.  This is my first experience with Precision Air and will surely not be my lastl  Thank you for the great service!

I have had large AC bills in the house we just moved into 4 months ago. I called Precision. They recommended a Home Energy Efficiency appointment ($159.95). Colin Black came out with all this equipment that looked like he was a ghostbuster. They checked the house from head to toe....had a smoke test to show me where I had air gaps in my house and used all kinds of science to show me areas where I could improve. Collin's manager came towards the end of the testing to discuss the findings and they collectively updated me. They said my AC units were fine. They did suggest an upgrade to my attic ventilation system which I just signed up for. Today is Saturday and they are going to do the work on Tuesday. I purchased AC units from Precision at my old house and guarantee when this new house needs new units, I'll call the pros at Precision. I HIGHLY recommend this outfit! -- first class, professional, experienced, and prices are right.

My AC unit stopped working suddenly on Sunday at 5 pm.  I called Precision because I had them do a tune up for me in June and was told my unit was mechanically sound so I wasn't expecting a problem just 2 months later.  Since I called so late in the day on a Sunday I knew I probably would not have service that day and I was right. Monday morning called and was told I could have a 1 to 6 pm appointment. I asked to have the technician arrive after I got home at about 4pm.  It was sweltering at 98 degrees in my house when I got home.  My technician Jacob arrived at 6:30pm.  He was friendly and professional.  He got right to work and replaced my simple blown fuses right away.  He also fixed some crusty old wires that may have caused the fuses to blow.  I was disappointed to have to wait for more that 24 hours but was very happy with Jacob's service.  I would have liked a little bit of a discount because of the tune up a had 2 months ago.

Annual maintenance check-up today. Tech said we needed coils cleaned, cost $200 but with another 3 yr maintenance agreement ($520) the cleaning is free. Our A/C is 1 year old, hope they are not taking us for a ride. We've always had a maintenance agreement with Precision. I guess it's the peace of mind that we pay out of the nose for. Friendly techs. Their office staff could use some improvement.

I called Precision Air when my A/C was running but not blowing cold air out.  I thought I would try them because of their heavy advertising.  While they did come to my home in a reasonable amount of time and it was a Sunday, I was prepared to pay for the Service Call, even at a premium.  I was not prepared to pay a total of $797 for 3 small products.  I searched for each piece of product and all 3 were absurdly marked up.  As in $342 for a $23 item.  Then $236 for an $18 item.  Then $168 for a $15 item.  I do not mind a company making a profit but this was criminal.  I called to discuss the situation with the Manager, and the reason the bill was so high was, they are a large company and have a lot of overhead and expenses.  That they cannot compete with the smaller repair places who do not have as much overhead.  I don't know about anyone else but if you're going to be in business, I do not think you should gouge your customers because of your cost of doing business.  Like I said, I did not mind paying a fee for Sunday service and paying more since I didn't have a contract.  But I think the amount of parts should be within reason.

Chris Edwards was the tech that came to my house to fix a leak in the AC unit in my attic. He was very professional and got the leak fixed. I have to have more work done now but he set up a install appointment for me that worked around my schedule.  Karla Evans invoice #28414

I recently had the 35 point A/C tune up and I couldn't have been happier about the price and the service that Lee S. had done. He talked to me what he was doing, what he did and explained to me what it was about. Very happy with the service and the friendliness.

earlier this summer i used Precision Air and Heating for a complete AC tune up.  now that the summer is over (FINALLY!) i can safely say that we never had any problems with our AC all summer long.  i have some friends who did zero preventative maintenance this summer and a few had no issues, but a few others had their AC go out on them.  i can't say for sure that my AC tune up is what kept my AC going, but i i do know that all the work they performed for only about $160 was probably the best money i spent on my house all summer.  Of course they offered some additional services, but only as recommendations (which we declined at the time).  but i would and will most likely use them again next year.

Several years ago I used Precision because one of my units was not cooling properly.  Due to a personal contact the company came out quickly and addressed the issue at a very reasonable cost.

Due to the experience above I contacted them again when one of my units was not cooling.  They come out to service the unit.  In the end they diagnosed a rare issue having to due with a clogged filter inside the closed freon line.  In the end my pocket book was made $1200 lighter.  One year later that same unit was not working again and I called out another company to look at it.  The issue was addressed and the unit is now fixed and it cost about 1/3 of what Precision held me up for.  I was also given a 2 year GUARANTEE by the new company.  I was also told by the new company that whoever worked on the unit previously left the attic unit slightly open which was resulting in cool air escaping into the attic and making the unit run inefficiently.  Precision was the only company to work on my units.  Obviously the workmanship had a lot to be desired and only the spiders in the attic were happy.

In the end the Decision is clear and I will not be calling on Precision to work on any of my units again.  Don't monkey around with these guys it'll only cost you in the end.

I had Chris (#307737) at my home today to perform the annual a/c, heating & plumbing inspection. I had purchased the 4-year plan in November of 2014.  Chris was very thorough and did what I believe was a good job.  No fault or criticism to Chris but this is the 3rd time I had Precision come to my house.  The first was the $159 inspection in November, 2014.  My house has 2 zones & I didn't know the $159 was for each zone.  Must have been the small print in the ad that I missed.  The technician did a marvelous job of upselling me and I wound up spending $1,200 to cover my home for 4 years.  I should note that did include 2 surge protectors.  When I went to put on the heat in December, one of those zones didn't work.  Called Precision and the Tech that came out found the tirst Tech had not re-connected a wire.  Everything is OK but what I resent is, that in all 3 visits, the Tech has tried to upsell me on something that was or could go wrong with the system.  I once again swallowed the bait today and wound up paying another $150 for a part that would lower the amperage to turn on the A/C units.  What I thought would cover my house for 4 years (inspections) has cost me more money each time.  And next year's inspection will probably reveal something else.  The Tech's who have been here have been courteous and professional.  But they are also Super Salesmen.  I am committed to this contract for another 3.5 years but if anything needs to be replaced I will use another company.  Easy on the soft approach upsell tactics used to train your employees, Erik. You lost what could have been a lifetime customer.  BTW, please send the $50 voucher anyway - I have a feeling it may come in handy, just in case, in the future like it did today.

I've been with Precision for several years. Unfortunately, they have eventually gotten the jobs done, but usually not without problems. This time, the technician accidentally shorted out our thermostat, didn't tell us, and proceeded to install another, non-programmable, inferior model. Next, he left the side hatch off of the fan coil, which caused the blown insulation in our attic to get sucked into the air ducts, and blown all over the house. It looked like snow falling. He didn't bother to pick any of it up, nor did he apologize. Next we had to keep asking him to put his shoe covers on, as we have light carpet and he was tracking in dirt. This happened several times. Then he spent some time trying to sell us on extending our service warranty, when we still have over a year to go on the present one.  They do this for at least two reasons: 1. The odds are, they will make money on it, not you. 2. Once you are in one of these, you are very unlikely to call another company to get work done, since you of course want to get at least some of  your money back on the warranty cost.   I could go on to other past service events, which they did eventually rectify, but this is already long. I'd like to say they have done good by us, but the reality is that its been hit or miss with them. I see all of the 5 star reviews and wonder if we've just been incredibly unlucky, or are they filtering these reviews and deleting the ones the don't like? Hummmmm.

watch out for this company. i hired them to come to my house friday after being told by another company i needed a valve to be replaced. the one company did not have enough technicians available to fix it that day. i called precision and they sent a guy named stephon to my house. stephon told me first off that i just needed freon. when i told him that it was not holding freon and that it needed a valve replaced, he said oh yeah if not holding freon it needs a valve. about 10 minutes later he said it needed a new coil. my ac unit was only 6 years old. he told me to repair the coil it would cost around 2,600 to 3,200 to fix. he said i should just get a new unit for 5,000$. all this information for a 60$ charge. stephon said that the guys from the company would come out saturday to measure for a new unit. i never heard from this company again. i called saturday and left a message for the manager to call me.  it is now monday and i left another message for them to call me back. for all they no i've had no ac now for 4 days and can't be bothered to call me back.
the other company that could not fix the ac that day came back out friday and got the unit working well enough until the part comes in tomorrow. i would like a refund for the money i paid to have someone come out and tell me i need to buy a new unit. this place does not know how to fix ac's and it seems like they just want to make money charging a service fee, but not repairing or replacing ac's. this place has unbelievably poor customer service.  call mast air instead!

I finally got a phone call back from the manager after I left 2 messages for him, Saturday and Monday. it is now Tuesday. he agreed to credit my account back because the tech was very vague as to what was going on with my ac, so I guess they are an ok company since they credited me back. maybe a different tech than stephon would be ok, but he was not  helpful at all and I wouldn't believe anything he says since he misdiagnosed my problem and told me I needed to spend $5,000 to replace a unit, only to have another company come by and get it working that day. Also, since it took them 5 days to call me back, to schedule getting a new ac unit installed and it is 108 degrees outside, I don't think their customer service is the best.
