J&M Painting Services

We contacted J&M way back in May 2022. We were getting new windows and needed an idea of what painting the house was going to cost. Jeff came out and explained to me what their process was, and I received quote and follow up within a day. I will say they were not the least expensive bid we had- that being said I saw the work that came from the least expensive (on my neighbors house) and I'm very happy about my choice to spend more for quality workmanship.

It took the windows a while to come in and get installed, but once they did, all I did was tell them I was ready and I was on their calendar about 8 days out.

Marcos painted our house, and I'll admit I was skeptical this one guy was going to get it all done. Wow I will eat my words. Not only did he do a wonderful job, but explained and checked in with us along the way. He put in effort to make sure the expectations were set correctly for which I'm very appreciative.

I was so pleased with what a seamless process it all was we will be using Jeff's team again for our interior after the new year. Do not hesitate to use this company!

My home looks brand new again! I want to thank J&M Painting Services for an excellent job painting my home. The crew, led by Victor, spent a lot of time prepping the foundation and walls, stucco cracks, fascia patches and repairing drywall cracks on the patio ceilings. Start to finish took 3.5 days and the place looks new again. I will definitely be using J&M again in the future and highly recommend them to others.

I was very impressed start to finish with the J&M team from the person who came to provide a quote, to the admin team answering any questions along the way, to the actual painting team. The painters were very attentive and had incredible attention to detail. Would highly recommend.

We had such a great experience with J&M painting and Ernesto, our painter. Ernesto was fast and despite a day of rain from start to finish only took 5 days including prep and clean up.  Monday-Friday.   Ernesto had fantastic communication and did an amazing job.   He worked on his own but has many years of experience and completed the job quickly.  My only issue is on our front door.   There is a line of paint that came off after the first week, despite having left the door open for the appropriate drying time.  They did leave the extra paint, although I'm not looking forward to having to fix it.  Other than that pricing is good, time frame is good, they were responsive (I emailed them A-LOT) and we're always very sweet.  We would definitely recommend.

Extremely satisfied from start to end.  I highly recommend and will seek them for future paint projects.

We just had our almost 4,000 sqft home painted my J&M and they did an outstanding job! Our home is newer but unfortunately the original paint from the builder was streaky and not done well. Jeff did the quote and David's crew painted (they were outstanding)! They even tried to work around noise with my baby's nap schedule. Stacy and Nicole did a fantastic job coordinating everything and payment was so easy. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Got a quick estimate from Jeff along with a nice gift bag from J&M. He was polite, courteous and detailed everything as promised in the contract. Jeff also encouraged calls at any time if I had questions, and never seemed too busy to talk about any concerns. Pricing was competitive and fair. True to his word, I did not have to pay a dime until the job was done and I did the final inspection.

Rito (my house painter) did an exceptional job on the exterior of my home. He arrived on time---was neat and extremely organized (cleaned up wherever he went and moved/returned outside furniture when needed)-professional (gave updates regularly) and was so quiet that I almost forgot he was working on my home! Choose J&M and you'll be beyond glad you did!

After reading the reviews on Yelp I decided to have J&M painting do the work. Carlos and Hector were professional and really know the trade. A great paint job starts with covering and protecting. They had that covered. In return the paint finish looks great. Our game room needed the ceiling painted and Carlos and Hector accomplished that without a speck of paint on anything in the room. I'm very happy with their work. I'll have J&M do all of my painting from now on.

Saw J&M advertising on the back of a truck as I drove in northern Phoenix. I took a shot and called it.  Jeff, the owner, answered and spoke with me and within a short period of time had me scheduled for a visit to my house to see the job

I live in an HOA controlled housing development and there are myriad rules to decipher.  J&M are well versed in the rules here.  We selected HOA approved colors and they did the job on time and with a great price.

The job is fantastic and they returned to correct issues I created by not following my one HOA guidelines in a prompt fashion and with reasonable cost

Upon job completion they submitted job pictures online and have been on top of email communications

The field staff (the painters) did an almost perfect job and were very professional.  I can think of no complaint about the quality of their work.  Though admittedly I am not a painter.  I might say something different in 5 years.
Office staff, not so much.  However I am paying for painting.

I recently left a yelp review on 9/19. Since then J&M reached out to me regarding the painting of my home.  I tried to change the last rating I left but was unable to. They have corrected the painting, and I am very happy with the final results. They did show concern and went out of the way to make me happy with the job. I appreciate the fact they kept their word . They do say you don't have to pay them until you are totally happy with the work and they do offer a two year warranty for the job. Most companies do not.

I have had several neighbors comment on how nice and modern the paint on the house looks, and I am very happy with the final outcome! Thank you to the company for the follow through.

J&M Painting runs like a well-oiled machine.  After contacting them, Jeff came out promptly and I had a quote the same day.  I needed painting/stucco repair and wood seal/stain work.  There was lots of miscellaneous work/tasks that needed doing that the two other painting companies didn't do.  David showed up on time the first day and we clarified work that needed to be done.  I asked if additional work could be done as I saw other areas that needed attention.  J&M was more than willing to make adjustments.  David is a great contact/rep for the company.  Odi and Daniel were two other employees who worked all week on my house. They were courteous and meticulous.  All looks great and I can sit back and enjoy the nice job J&M Painting did for my home.  Thank you!

They responded right away and came to the house to look at the rooms that needed to be painted. Sent me a reasonable price quote the next day. Oswaldo came on a Monday morning to start the job and David came a few minutes later with the 3 different paints I had selected. Oswaldo came promptly each day between 7 and 7:30 and completed the job by Friday. It's a 2200 square foot house so that was a big job. Oswaldo did a great job and made sure to prep and painted the 3 different colors per my instructions. He worked nonstop that I had to encourage him to take a break.
I'm very happy with this company and will use them again when needed.

Owner Jeff scheduled an appointment to come out to my house one day after being contacted. He walked around my home and answered all questions. Had quote done and emailed to me in few hours. Scheduling was quick. Painters were on-time, friendly. Did great job painting and did not leave a mess. Completely satisfied with the job J&M did. I am going to use them for interior painting next.

This is my new go to company for painting needs. They were quick to estimate, quick to schedule and very easy to communicate with. The work was done flawlessly and fast. The crew was friendly and did their own quality check before inviting me to look for any corrections before they left. I was thoroughly impressed and am admittedly picky. They cleaned everything up and took great care of my home and furnishings during the project. I will definitely use them again!

These guys are the REAL DEAL.  Jeff came out for an estimate (as scheduled) and provided a very reasonable quote within days. They took on the project of removing all the popcorn throughout my house (very messy job!!) and painting the entire interior of my 2-story unit...

The Crew  - these guys were at my front door bright and early every morning and worked all day for 4 days straight.

They did a fantastic job with the popcorn removal and painting + a terrific clean up job afterwards - no mess!!

Wonderful Service! We had our home and cabana painted by J and M and couldn't be happier. They were meticulous in their work, taping off, addressing all the wood rot and torn up flashing around the outside. They power washed everything first, and even sanded where needed. Their staff was respectful and cared about the quality of work they performed. Great experience and would highly recommend!

Recently had exterior property painted. They arrived on time for estimate and started job on time. Received a few pictures the first day and had a family member stop by to review the progress. Was some streaking in one wall, but they fixed with another coat. There was some detail work also corrected. Rito was the painter of the on site and was easy to communicate with on phone and text. Was pleased overall.

The price was competitive, They did a good job.  Now the only thing will be is to see how long the paint lasts. They used good quality paint so I dont expect a problem.

Probably one of the worst experiences I've had with a contractor. It started with the owner not showing up to the appointment and sending his son instead. The son only spent 2-3 minutes to check the property and didn't check the whole house and took no pictures (unlike other companies I requested a quote from). He sent me an estimate, I emailed and said let's move forward.L which I got Dec 20th for start date. Got no call on that day. They also mistakenly sent another company's invoice to me twice. Once they figured out how to do the estimates and invoicing they sent a painter which asked me if I had the paint samples or codes. I said no( the son told me the painter will bring the color sample to choose).
So the painter said the he would talk to Jeff and they would get back to me. January 11th and nothing yet. At this point I decided to move forward with another company which was more professional and reliable. I'm happy that I didn't end up working with this company, God knows how the pint would've come out since they can't get a simple invoicing right.

We desperately needed to paint the inside of our house; it had been over 10 years since the last time we did so. We decided to Shop around. We called J&M Painting and we are so happy we did.  They responded right away, in fact, they came out the same day to give us an estimate. Jeff came in, looked around and said he will have a quote in a few hours. He stood by his word and within an few hours we had a quote. The painters showed up at the exact time we were told. They were so professional. Clean, tidy and answered all our questions that we had. The work was done in the timeframe given to us. The painting turned out better than we could have hoped for. We were so impressed by J&M that we will definitely be referring them to everyone.

J&M did a great job painting the exterior of our house.  We had them do the interior a few months ago.   We were so pleased that we requested the Carlos and his crew come back to do the outside.  Carlos met with me to walk the property and understand what we wanted.  Then he took care of ordering and picking up the paint.  He set a schedule with me.
He prepped the house, power washed it, then he did a great job sealing cracks all around the house and yard wall.  He painted the house with three colors for the body, trim, doors and metal accents.  Then he did a walk through and cleaned up.  He left the remaining paint for us and J&M sent us the info on our paint for our files should we need it in the future.  I would not have anyone else paint my house.  We are very pleased with our 2nd J&M paint job.

Hired these guys to paint exterior of my house. Awesome communication and pricing was more than fair.

Came out the next day for a quote and scheduling was painless. Job was completed as promised and on time!

I normally do leave reviews. But this company deserves a Kudo.  They are professional, hardworking, and easy to communicate with. They worked on our house for five days, showed up at around 6:30 am, and worked until about 4 pm. Very organized, cleaned up all trash, and made plans ahead to ensure we can live in the house while the project was on. Very patient with all small detail requests. Our house looks sooooo good!  Will definitely consider them for future projects.

Very pleasant experience from start to end!  Jeff was able to provide competitive quotes with pictures and floorplan provided, and scheduling was a breeze.

Sean and crew showed up on time, very friendly and provide great communication throughout the process through text and calls.  I was only able to see the paint job after Day 1, and only saw the pictures after they wrapped up Day 2, but those look amazing.  I would recommend them for the outstanding customer service.

We messaged a few painters and decided to book J&M. They scheduled us for 7:00am and around 8:45 I called the office to see where they were, as I took off the morning from work. They ended up calling us back stating they'd be over around 11:30, so I had to call into work for the entire day. I just think it's unprofessional and inconsiderate, to not even let us know until we call to check in two hours later. They ended up showing up to paint at 12:20, however when they arrived they asked us for the paint and when we told them that we had already told the owner what paint THEY needed to use, they had to then leave and go buy the paint. They did apologize and told me that Jim told us you'd have the paint here ready for us. They also asked about some holes in the wall, which were already previously shown to the person at J&M who gave us the in-person estimate, and said they didn't have everything to fix those either. They ended up leaving, and said they'd call their boss.

Meanwhile I called the office of J&M and left a voicemail, to cancel the job. Obviously I don't want to pay someone who has COST me a days work due to unprofessionalism. Because they didn't answer, I emailed Jim letting him know that I don't need them to come back. Instead of calling and apologizing, he responded to my email stating that his team never buys paint before a job, because sometimes customers change their mind- which is iron ice becomes the painters told us that Jim specifically told them that we already the paint here for them. I just don't like when someone lies, rather than apologizing and accepting the responsibility.

And while I did call 3 times and leave a voicemail and email Jim's office, they still sent the guys back to paint. I did end up allowing the two guys to paint the wall, since it wasn't their fault that the company is so disorganized. I did feel bad because I was rude to them, but obviously it was an inconvenient experience, costing me my work for the day, and wasting my time. So my 7am paint job was finally done at 3pm.

In addition to this, they threw their equipment and paint items all over a very expensive rug, and didn't wear any booties or cover the room completely, to protect our items, which I think is odd. Luckily nothing was ruined.

The paint job ended up being horrendous. When they sent me the invoice, I sent them photo of the paint job and they literally responded saying how bad it did look. They sent someone here to reprint a week later. The guy painted but it still didn't look good becomes of how horrible the first job was done. So he later asked if he could buy a different brand paint becomes its heavier. He reported with the paint he preferred and it looked better. BUT while they were cleaning up, they hit our white wall with the black paint and it smeared everywhere. The painter asked if we had the white paint and I told him we had extra paint in the garage but want sure which one was the white paint for that wall. Rather than spot testing it, he slathered it on, and once it dries realized that it wasn't the right color.

So now we do have put original requested wall painted, b now we also have another wall, that now needs to be entirely repainted and fixed. At the point we're over this company and would be better off fixing their paint job ourselves.

And we still have to pay for this issue.

Not in a million years would I recommend this company.

They did great work, friendly people, slightly slow communication but that's due to being busy and quality of work. Put great detail into it. Had a question/minor issue and the owner called me to clarify. That's the definition of professionalism. Issues arise and they nip it in the butt right away. Would I use them again yes!

J&M painted our house, inside and out, about 1.5 years ago. For some reason, I missed reviewing them then, it was a crazy busy time at our house.

I spoke with Jeff a couple times up-front and he could not have been more friendly or knowledgeable. Our job was extremely time sensitive because it was scheduled to take-place immediately after (like hours after) a full kitchen and downstairs home remodel and before our 65 guests arrived for Thanksgiving just 3 days later. J&M did a tremendous job scheduling and made it perfectly within the window, even despite some weather challenges. They even worked around other contractors who were still finishing up their finish work. Really well done on J&M's part and not an easy task in their business. We also had J&M do a full re-stucco, sealing and paint of a retaining wall on our lakefront.

All of their work was done professionally, thoroughly and always with a smile. Everything we asked about was addressed well. There were a couple minor incidents on the job, there always are on a job of this size, but they handled them with a smile and a no problem. In my opinion, the test of a company is not how they perform when things are going well, it's how they perform when there are challenges. And J&M stepped up and took care of everything with no hassle.

J&M does use subs for all of their work, which would normally be a red flag for me, but as Jeff explained it, they have multi-year relationships with all their subs, so they know them well and have good control over quality workmanship and timing. Our job, inside and out, turned out great. We will use them again.

Overall, this was a great company to work with and I would highly recommend them.

Marcos was on time, meticulous and such an awesome person to work with. I would recommend him to anyone. He made our home look absolutely brand new.

Jeff came out to do the initial quote for painting the exterior of the home. I was debating between just the fascia trim or the whole home (including fascia). It turned out, that although more expensive it was more cost effective just to do the whole house.

Jeff arrived on time for the initial visit and was very professional. Among the other quotes I received, theirs was a reasonable amount (not the lowest, nor the highest for what was being done). I liked the fact they use Sherwin Williams paint, a plus in my books because it's one of the brands the HOA wants.

In terms of the quote write up, it was very vague (especially when trying to compare apples to apples with several companies), I had to go back and forth a few more times having to ask questions to figure out if the service was right for us. The administrative staff was really good about answering questions and getting back to me in a timely manner. Ultimately I decided to move ahead with J&M and scheduling a date was pretty reasonable (they had dates available within the next two weeks).

The morning of the start date for painting was off to a rough start. The administrative staff had advised me they would be here between 7am and 8am. Unfortunately, around 6:30am J&M's painter was on our roof banging around - talk about a rude awaking! I just don't get the point of confirming what time they are coming, only to be woken up much earlier? Had I known 6:30am was the start time, I would have prepared accordingly...

I did let Jeff know about my frustration then being woken up, a couple of times, (once by phone and one by text) he finally apologized.

Another issue with the painter starting before I was able to meet with him, is that we had patio furniture to deal with. I was advised we would receive some help in moving it, by the time I was able to throw clothes on and get outside it had been all moved. Which moving the patio furniture in itself isn't the problem, moving the patio furniture under trees with lots of birds uncovered is another issue. I ended up having to rummage around the garage for tarps and garbage bags to protect the furniture.

Ernesto did a wonderful job when it came to the actual painting and covering of windows etc. The best part of the whole endeavor was the final product on the paint job. The process took three days, though I'd say the first and last day were half days of work, with the middle day the longest.

The only complaint I have with the actual painting, is that some things that shouldn't have gotten paint on them did. Some plants did, I was rather worried about the one as it looked like it was going to keel over. It hasn't died yet, but has been a little sickly as it has a fine coating of paint on it (from the spray settling I presume). Inevitably some of the paint debris settled into the pool, I ended up shocking the pool to keep it from getting out of whack. The brackets for the outdoor curtains had some paint on them along the edges. Lastly, the most upsetting are the three garden lights with drops of paint on the tops. I was hoping I would be able to pull the paint off, but it seems to have adhered permanently to the finish of these lights. Unfortunately, anything I try to remove the paint, is removing the finish as well. I am most disappointed about the lights getting paint on them because it's the most obvious of all, and at the time we got the house painted they were brand new... I mean at least if they were older I could somehow justify they would have to be replaced soon.

All and all there were some good things and bad things with the job (which is why I have given them a mixed rating of 3/5). Would I recommend them or consider them again? Maybe. J&M isn't awful. J&M could improve most with better communication, they certainly would have received at least a four star rating with better communication. A five star rating would be reserved for a near perfect or perfect experience, but I can't justify that here with the outlined hiccups.

I didn't bother contacting Jeff about the paint splotches on the lights, because I didn't notice them until a couple days after when I was tending to the plants in the garden. I was also hoping to get the paint off the lights myself (nothing seems to be working). I also wasn't entirely sure how much Jeff would even care, because it seemed he was a little nonchalant about the whole start time episode I mentioned earlier.

Walter was wonderful.  I've never seen someone work so hard and be so particular and careful. We'd use them again for sure. Highly recommend.

They painted the ENTIRE inside of my house before move in. They crushed it! All the sheens and colors I chose were done correctly. Walls, trim, doors, ceilings, all on top of brand new flooring and not a single drop of paint out of place. The lines are crisp and they repaired the holes in the wall so well I can't see them, even when knowing where they were before the work was done and trying to find them up close. I had some quotes from some random independent painters for maybe 10% less cost... so glad I went with the pros! When the exterior of the home needs paint I'll call them without a shadow of a doubt.

This is the best company i have used for my properties. I had another company come paint one of my properties and they made a mess of a job. J&M was a god send and did the job with such care and professionalism. I will definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

I hired this company to paint the interior of my home a d boy did they deliver. Their estimate was great, so I felt I got a great value, a d the crew was incredible. Fast, professional, and respectful. Got my house done in 2.5 days a d I couldn't be happier with the results!.

These guys nailed it. They came out to see what I wanted done and about 30 minutes later I already had a quote sent to my email. After checking out other highly recommended companies J&M came in 30% less on one and over 50% on the other. The two other companies didn't even come out and said they were too busy. I sent them the quote from J&M and they just said that's ridiculous and wouldn't budge on their higher rates. One tried to just fall back on their yelp reviews to justify the price and I had to point them to J&M's page to show how great their ratings are.

J&M came out and did the job over 2 days (1 day for each story). No issues and I'm super happy with the job. It was exactly what I was looking for. The two guys that came out were super friendly and took care of everything as expected.

I am so glad I chose J&M! Jeff came out and gave me the quote which was no nonsense & straightforward which I greatly appreciated! The crew arrived on time & got straight to work. The guys were pleasant to work with and were very clean! Also, they really went above and beyond. They put a lot of work into my old fascia and made it look brand new, they painted my address numbers and fixed my garage light and restrung the wires on the side of my home to make it look neat & clean. A friend of mine recommended J&M Painting to me as I was renovating my home and needed the exterior repainted. Their receptionist Stacy was quick to set up my appointment (which was free), and Jeff the owner came out to take a look. He was very nice, professional, and literally less than an hour later, I was quoted a very fair price. The bid was lower than a few other places I had called and the speed with how everything was handled was fantastic. I am VERY happy with the quality of the work his crew did and would DEFINITELY recommend people give J&M a call.

J&M painted my folks house. There were a couple minor things that needed touched up but to be fair we were rushing them a bit so we could have the carpets cleaned and move furniture in. Regardless, we reached out to J&M and they were Johnny on the spot to address the now seemingly minor issues that were fixed super quick that I kinda feel dumb for making a big deal about them. They really do give a hoot about customer satisfaction and that can be hard to find in this day and age. Thank you J&M for doing a great job. We will be sure to call you for any future painting needs.

We were recently in the process of getting our house ready for sale. The house needed to be painted badly and have some cracks, stucco repair, peeling drywall tape, etc.. fixed up to make it more presentable.

We called 4 companies to come out and give us quotes. J&M won our business because not only were they one of the best priced, but Jeff's professionalism and comprehensive knowledge of the process simply won us over.

Jeff sent us Marcos to have the house done. He was efficient and did great work. We had a miscommunication with the timeline and our expectations when it would be completed, but a quick call with Jeff and everything was back on track and our deadline was able to be met.

The house looks stunning. I'm not sure why we waited to get the house painted, but next time we won't wait so we can enjoy it.

We scheduled an estimate with J&M and a few other companies for a total exterior house paint job. We chose J&M, not only because they had the best price, but also due to the great Yelp reviews and their communications during the estimate process were more professional, and all the others seemed too eager to get more personal info before setting up an appointment. Jeff and everyone at J&M were courteous and prompt, they maintained contact with us throughout the process, and worked around a few days of rain. They did a fantastic job with the painting, our house has never looked better! I would highly recommend J&M to anyone in their service area.

Very Happy with Jeff and his team. Used them to paint the interior of our new house and our kitchen cabinets before we moved in. Jeff arrived promptly to quote the house, had no problem breaking out multiple different options as line items, and had the quote to us same day. I understand this can be frustrating when already communicated to the company, but it shows due diligence to minimize the risk of painting something the incorrect color or paint the incorrect area. The crew did a fantastic job and met my requested timeline.

The house looked so good I hired them to paint my current house when HOA informed me that I needed to paint it a few days before closing. I didn't even bother with another company. Jeff showed up promptly to quote it and the team started two days later. The same crew that painted my other house showed up and did a quick and professional job once again. Exterior of home looks great and am very pleased.

We had them paint our entire house, ceilings, garage, closets, everything inside and out.
They were super fast, thorough, and very receptive to some of the details I gave them (ex: leaving extra can of paint behind, mask or not mask certain things off, etc).  I would recommend them to anyone!   I was out of town at the time and the communication was excellent via phone, email, text, whatever I chose to do at the time.  Keep it up!

I was very happy with the work product and the final job performed. I would give this business 5 stars based on the quality of the painting work.  I was having my entire living/dining room ceiling painted and was nervous about paint getting on things but the painter did a fantastic job of covering everything and cleaning up. I had several doors that required maneuvering around preinstalled hardware and he did a great job with the detail. They were slightly more expensive than two other quotes I received but my experience dealing with the owner and office staff convinced me they were the right business to go with and I'm glad I did. The office staff was professional and fast to respond. The finished product looked great and the painter was polite and professional.

I took a star off for the following reasons:

1- The gentleman who came to paint my house seemed to have no idea what color paint he was to use on the ceiling. Part of my estimate was that they were providing paint. I was not very particular about an exact color just that it be something in the range of what was currently there. The owner indicated it would not be a problem to match something in the ballpark. I was painting the entire ceiling so it did not have to be an exact match just a color that was similar. The gentleman who came to paint kept insisting I tell him what color to paint the ceiling. It was frustrating as I clearly did not have a paint color name. I had to call the owner several times to call his staff. I almost sent them away before they started because it seemed so chaotic. Ultimately, the owner was very responsive and the final color looked very nice.

2- The gentleman who came to paint my house spoke vary limited English. This in itself is not an issue at all for me if he come prepared knowing exactly what he needed to paint and what color. But he was trying to ask me questions and get clarification on paint colors and we were having significant difficulty communicating. If the business is going to need clarification from the homeowner they should really send someone at the start of the job who can clearly communicate. It was super frustrating for both of us.

3- I had scheduled the appointment for 8 AM. The painting job was taking place in my entire kitchen and living room. My kitchen and living room had to be covered and was not usable during the paint job. The scheduled painter came in about 45 minutes early while I was trying to get my family ready for the day of school and work.  I am all about being on time but coming significantly early with no notice for something like this was actually an inconvenience.

4- lastly, the painter brought his four-year-old child to my house for the day. I love kids and have a four year old myself. The little boy was darling and sweet as can be. I really didn't have an issue with the child there.  I more just thought it was weird that a professional business that's licensed and bonded would send their workers to a job for 9 hours with children without notifying the homeowner in advance.

At the end of the day, the issues were minor and the final product and quality was well done!

Needed some painting done in my kitchen and dining area. After a few bids I went with J&M Painting - due to a competitive bid and positive reviews I saw on Yelp. I was happy with the decision I made!

Team came at the scheduled time. They were professional, courteous and did an excellent job. Cleaned up all mess afterwards. I would definitely recommend J&M for any painting needed. They will do an excellent job!

J&M did an excellent job painting our house and guest house. The prep work was carefully done, the cleanup after was thorough and the price was reasonable. Recommended.

Out of 3 bids we made the choice to go with J&M. Jeff pretty much was in and out when doing the walk thru and explaining things that he was including in estimate.

Ernesto (the painter) is a good guy. Made sure things was up to par from prepping the house and up to the last day when he was doing the touching and cleaning up.

My main concern was making sure that he matched the colors samples that we got pre-approved from our HOA. Just because we got our colors from Home Depot and they use their own vendor for paint.

Called to schedule an estimate for a leak stucco repair on our turret. They came out WITHOUT A LATTER to give an estimate. Came out to do the repairs, didn't bring paint. Both times coming out they were late and I had to call to track them down. And had to leave voicemails most of the time because they don't answer the phone. Still have a leak after rain so they refund our money. Roofer comes out and says they never painted over the stucco and that's the only way to make it work/protect. Don't waste your time!

Messaged them for a quick job to paint my newly installed garage door and they showed up the next day and got it done. Looked great and there were no surprises. I'm a busy person and I like their efficiency. I would definitely recommend them.

I cannot say enough about what a great company this is. Jeff was super helpful and accommodating in helping me pick the right color and sheen and also in getting me on the schedule quickly. Jorge and crew were so fantastic - they worked super quickly and very carefully so that there were no spills, drips or accidents anywhere. Exterior paint job was completed yesterday. I am beyond impressed at the amazing job Marcos did!  Down to every last detail is perfection! It was an absolute pleasure having Marcos at my home for 4 days.  He was friendly,  easy to communicate with and an outstanding professional.

I reached out to J&M Painting Services and am very happy that I did! Originally, I was looking for a quote so that I could budget to get the exterior of our house painted. I was very impressed with the professionalism and punctuality. Sean came out to quote the job and the cost was very reasonable! We decided to move forward and 2 weeks later, the guys showed up to paint! They were very nice but there was a slight language barrier- thankfully, nothing that google translate couldn't handle. We were told that the job could take 3-4 days and these guys had it done in 2.5! We walked the property to see if there was anything that needed touching up, they touched up where it was needed and then cleaned up. We are very pleased with everything!

Great price for great work. J&M sent out an experienced painter who did a great job in just two days. I had some stucco damage that was beyond what could be just covered up with a patch so they quickly sent out a stucco guy blend the patch into the surrounding stucco quickly and at a very reasonable up charge. Finished product looks wonderful and will definitely be calling them again when the time comes

Repaired two stucco damaged exterior sections on the house (one in front and one on the back of my house). Came out nice and they were willing to come out to Tartesso. Will definitely call them for an estimate when I get the whole outside of the house painted.

Extremely happy with Jeff and his crew. They painted the exterior of our 4,600 sq ft home in 2 1/2 days. His crew kept me informed through out the day of when they would be blocking garage or doors. Entire crew was very polite and respectful. I never doubted our decision. They were referred to us by two neighbors and their homes look great years after they were painted. And the best part... they were the cheapest of 5 bids. Excellent job!

I have used J&M painting on several jobs in different houses. The first two times that I used J&M I was thrilled and felt they did a great job. The last two times however, were very disappointing. I got about 1,000 sq ft painted after some remodeling and one guy came by himself and finished within a few hours. I could not understand how this was possible. I called the owner, and was told more people would show up. They did not! I was told several times it was two coats. The next week it became very obvious it was patchy and only one coat of paint. I called the company and they sent the same guy and he did some touch ups here and there. The other color under neath still showed through, so frustrating. I definitely got ripped off. I will definitely not use them again.

J&M painted 4 bedrooms in our new house. His crew finished in one day and they offered a reasonable price that included the paint. I was happy with the work and would use them again if the need arises.

I was a little apprehensive about using J&M for my home's exterior repaint because their bid came in substantially lower than two other well-regarded painting operations. I decided to proceed with them because I liked the answers they were giving to my questions and they had strong reviews here.

I'm very glad that I did. Jeff and Stacy were easy to work with throughout the entire process, and communication was always clear and responsive. Carlos and Antonio did excellent work with the actual job. Prep was thorough and considerate of my home and landscaping, and their attention to detail went beyond my expectations. I actually ended up needing a repaint because of a bad color choice I made: Jeff was able to get the work scheduled very quickly, Carlos and Antonio were just as thorough the second time around, and the cost was completely reasonable.

We just had a complete garage makeover courtesy of J&M.  They painted the walls, ceiling and did an outstanding coating on the floor.  Their estimate was solid, in line with the others we received.  The guys showed up on time, gave us great advice and truly went above and beyond with the work they did.  They went out of their way to find matching baseboard for spots where we removed cabinets and did a seamless job adding it to those bare sections.  They were fast, neat and courteous - I can't recommend them highly enough.

The entire project went great! They were quick setting up a walkthrough and got me a quote quickly. I requested some wall/ceiling touch up at the walkthrough, and they did as requested in addition to the painting. The painting team was very communicative when they had questions so that there was no confusion as to what I wanted.  Plus, their cost was very decently priced. I would recommend them to other!

- I contacted J & M via Yelp messaging and Stacy responded fairly quickly.  She helped schedule an appointment for Jeff to come and view areas to be painted.
- Jeff (owner) came out the following day.  He walked throughout the house for approximate total of 10 mins. and left.  He said he would email me a quote within an hour and he did!
- Very impressed with their response time.  Both Jeff and Stacy were very nice and professional.
- One way they stood apart from other companies was the nice coffee mugs they gave us as a gift.  What a nice touch!! :)

PRICING:  3.5 Stars
- Based on the multiple reviews for pricing, I was anticipating a lower price. His pricing was over $1000 more than two other quotes we received.  It worked out to be $1.55 per sq. ft.
- Our quote was for labor only to paint interior of house (approx 1965 sq. ft.) excluding closets, baseboards, door trims, and ceilings.  Paint would have been provided by us.  I wanted to give these details in case it may help someone looking for a similar service.  
- Jeff and Stacy explained that the pricing was higher because they would have to brush and roll everything vs. spraying which is quicker.  Though I completely understand, other companies quoted less for the same labor.

Hopefully, this helps anyone looking for a quote for 'similar' services.  J & M got high ratings for a reason so please don't just go by my review.  Each person's budget is different and their pricing was not in our budget nor close to other bids.  If it was, we would have definitely gone with them because of their excellent customer service which is huge in any industry!!  Thanks again Jeff and Stacy for your valuable time and much appreciated customer service! ;)

After reading about this company on Yelp, we decided to go with them - great decision. We had the exterior of our house painted as well as some ceiling  patching on the patio that needed to be done. Our painter's name was Marco & he was just great. He arrived every morning by 6AM to beat some of the heat of the day and worked non-stop until approx 2PM every afternoon. This man was so meticulous, in his work and his cleanup. Our house looks super and we felt the price Jeff quoted was very fair. We got a digital invoice so payment was quick & easy. Very happy with their work and the finished product. I was surprised they even worked on Christmas and touched up all the areas that weren't perfect.

Jeff came to our home the day before Thanksgiving to provide a painting service estimate for two separate phases - the inside and outside of our home.  After researching other service quotes, the inside price for approximately $2.50 per square foot of an occupied home matched the quote from Jeff.  We scheduled the service a month and a half later.  The scheduling was smooth and matched our availability.  David and Honduras were the painters who performed the work.  They were both professional and friendly.  The end result was fantastic. Meticulous is the word I would use to best describe their work.  We intend to use J & M Painting Services for the outside job down the road with David as the leader painter.  Would recommend to a friend.

Great price for the money. They do a decent job but they do take few shortcuts. I wish they paid more attention to smaller details and coverage. Very nice folks working on the house. But would be lover more attention to small details n cleanup being better. Lots of chipped paint in the pool after and all over for that matter.

Great choice for painting your house in the Phoenix area - look no further!  I researched a bunch of companies, and besides the great reviews they also have some of the best rates around as well.  J&M sent a great crew to paint my 2 story house and it turned out great!  We encountered some issues with our HOA along the way and J&M was very patient with the delays and worked with us on everything.  J&M is an A++ all the way!

Can't speak to the quality of the paint job because they never bothered to show up for the estimate appointment. I left work early to meet them at our home and when no on showed I called the owner and he said he would call me right back. He never did. The next morning in received a text from the gentleman who was to do the estimate and he said he had our address wrong and forgot his phone. He asked for alternative times I provided those and he never responded. I get that trades are busy these days but if you don't have time just be honest and tell me that as opposed to wasting my time.

I was very pleased with them. It's hard to find good companies in the home services space, but J&M showed up on time with the correct materials and finished in one day. The painters were very nice and did a great job. Making the payment afterward was also easy. I'm usually very picky about the work being done in my house, but J&M met the high bar.

I had Jeff come out and quote painting the interior of my home with three colors.  I told him that I would not be in town during the week of the painting and he didn't even blink an eye.  Being out of state, they make me feel comfortable and took the stress away.  Carlos showed up and three days later I had a masterpiece. Wonderful service, very competitive pricing and great communication! When another painting company failed to show up, I scrambled to get another company. J & M responded immediately, scheduled the interior painting job, and showed up on time.  Carlos and his crew were professional and did outstanding work.  They cleaned up the job site better than I have ever seen on similar work. Let's start with response: Jeff answered his phone and was on  time for the estimate. It was fair priced and he brought some nice goodies with him.
Next we set the appointment for the work. The crew was on time and ready to go.
Now the job itself. They painted my master bedroom. It's a challenging room with vaulted ceiling double vaulted in the bathroom and walk in closet with shelves galore.  Two types of sheen and two types of colors.. It was like magic when they were done. No mess and a beautiful job. John and Sean are the best and I would highly recommend these two. They work great as a team and are courteous and conscientious. Just look at the other reviews that's why I chose them in the first place and they did not let me down.

I meant to leave a review months ago and forgot! J&M Painting did a great job painting the entire interior of our home. Their pricing was reasonable and they were very accommodating with our requests. They exceeded our expectations and we'll definitely be hiring them again!!                             Jen B

I am very disappointed. I contacted these folks because of their ratings on Yelp. I made an appointment for a representative to come today at 11 am to give us a bid. He never showed up. I called the office and the message provide a mobile phone number for the owner. I called and no one answered so I left a voicemail. 2 1/2 hours later still no call or show. I called the office and Stacy answered who was surprised and said she'd call the owner and have him call me. 30 minutes later and still no call back. I don't know how these guys got such good ratings when they don't show up and at least have the decency to call you. Pretty bad.

We finally received a call back and an apology from the owner and he came out to meet us the next day and sent us a proposal the next day. We went ahead and scheduled the painting for our current home. The painter showed up on Monday morning and appeared to know very little about the job. He called my wife the second day to say he was done. He had not done the outside painting that was included in the bid. A few hours later he called my wife to say he was done again.

She returned home tonight to find entire portions of the job not done at all and other areas where no sparkling prep was done and paint brush and roller marks left on the wall. I have left a message with the owner. Let's see what happens.

I am updating my review because the team at J&M did come through in the end. They discounted our bill by 25% due to our previously described frustrations. They did an overall good and complete job.

J&M is a great local painting company. They have excellent customer service and their prices are reasonable. I also appreciated that they did not use high pressure sales tactics when they came out to give an estimate. Fernando did a great job painting our living room. I highly recommend using J&M for your next paint job!

Awesome service, great quality in work and quick turnaround time.  Sean was extremely friendly when he came out to bid the job.  Claudio and his co-worker did a super job on the painting (including their cleanup).  Stacy and Jeff were extremely accommodating when I provided the wrong color for our front door.  All in all, J&M did a great job and are highly recommended!

Second experience with Jeff and crew for a couple of interior paint jobs. Both done quickly, efficiently and professionally. Also the crew was very informative as well as personable. Strongly recommend.

I'm giving only four stars due communication issues.  Having to clean up the clean up. Screen door sticking closed (the paint wasn't quite dry).  And surprised to find out they did not scrap off the old paint from wood beams on the patio.

Jeff and I have communicated privately to figure out what happened to these correspondences and I rescind my previous comments now that I know how passionate and willing he is to resolve an issue. For that I'm hopeful we can move forward.

I searched around for a couple weeks to find the right company to paint my house. J&M and Jorge (my painter) did not disappoint! Jorge made sure we were on the same page at all times on what I wanted done exactly and even sent me progress pictures. I will definitely use them again in the future!

You mention multiple colors for multiple walls.  There were only two colors, white and gray.  The entire great room, family /dining/kitchen was to be painted gray.  Instead, it was painted white.  Not too confusing.  And certainly not multiple colors on multiple walls.  One color for the entire room. 12 walls with a single color. Your reply is not honest.

I am in the real estate business and deal with contractors everyday. I was given their number by a co-worker that uses them on all his remodel projects and he said they were incredible. I had to leave town on a family trip and left J&M to paint while we were gone. My wife and I were both super nervous to not be there during the process to make sure things were done right. Coming home we crossed our fingers and opened the door and it was as if no one had been there and our walls magically turned the color we always wanted! Not a mess to be found and they even left the extra paint with us! They were great with communication the entire time, very professional, and competitively priced. I will refer them to anyone!

We used J&M for interior painting of 4 bedrooms, including closets, doors, and also removing popcorn ceilings and retexturing, patching holes, etc., etc.   Daniel was the one that did all the ceilings and painting and did a fantastic job!   Jeff and Stacy were very pleasant and professional to work with.  We originally got a quote for 3 bedrooms and Jeff's quote was the lowest out of the 4 we received from other companies.  We found J&M by using Yelp, and in fact found out they were right around the corner from our house.  After seeing all the great reviews plus the fact that they don't take any money down and they don't want payment until you are satisfied with the job, we figured this was a win, win situation. I had to keep postponing the date for starting work on painting the outside of my home. J&M were super patient and accommodating. They were by far the best priced, but the quality of work is outstanding!

They did a good job, a little more expensive than the three other quotes,  but they showed up on time and finished as promised. Still cleaning up the white paint off my quartz counters, but it is cleaning up fine. They should not clean their paint equipment in your kitchen sink or leave paint residue from their equipment in the backyard. Owner replies promptly and had them come out to touch up and clean up yard. I would give them 4.5 stars.

Called several companies to obtain a quote. Received the quote from Jim. Selected J and M based on reviews and price. Completely satisfied. Jim sent Marco, a one man show, who did an amazing job. Due to winds he ended up being there a week, but I am glad he took his time and did it right. Will use J and M for all our painting needs and will request Marco every time. Thank you J &M for the paint and repairs in my home.  I know I'm not easy to work with, but the guys were great and stuck it out.  I'm very pleased with how everything turned out and will be happy to recommend your company.

I worked with Jeff on the estimate and scheduling. It was a very smooth process. I received a number of estimates and their pricing was very fair.  I appreciated Jeff following up via email. I upgraded to Dunn Edwards Evershield which I'm happy with that decision too. The painting crew led by John was prompt every day and knocked out our 3,000 sq ft 2-story in 3 days. Overall, I'm very happy with the results and my house looks like new even though she's 25 years old.

I should preface this by stating that I am a very meticulous person with a Type A personality.  So when I enter into most customer service type arrangements, it comes with quite a bit of anxiety and trepidation that things will not be done in the correct way requiring sometimes tense discussions.  That being said, I would like to offer my sincere thanks to Jorge for an excellent experience when he was at our home in Goodyear yesterday.  He was like an anxiety pill in human form.  Very respectful and required pretty much no follow-up discussions after the initial walk thru.  I say pretty much because any follow-up discussions were one of the following:  1) I had questions about how different things worked in his experience just to satisfy my curiosity or 2) he attempted to do things based on how I thought they should be done with the supplies he was provided (by us) only to come back to show us that it didn't look as good or pass his satisfaction test.  For #2, he educated my husband and I how painting it the way we thought it should be done resulted in a sub-par result and then doing it the way he suggested resulted in a more blended appearance without you being able to tell there was a touchup done in an area.  I think he took one break during the hours he was painting the interior walls and garage walls despite us asking him if he would like to take a break...we could go get some beverages/snacks.  Great work ethic, attention to detail, complete cleanup leaving no trash/drips/overspray behind and was there exactly when the office said he would be.  I can't speak for the rest of the crews with the company but I highly recommend and will ask for Jorge again if we ever need painting services.  Thank you J&M for your stellar customer service and such a high caliber of an employee.  Great job young man and we wish you and your family nothing but the best!

These guys just painted my condo (interior) and I couldn't be more impressed.  The price was fantastic and the work impeccable.   I used a variety of accent colors and they did a great job on the seams.  I couldn't be happier.  Thanks, guys!

Jeff and his team did an amazing job on our home. Our home was trashed by a former tenant and his animals. After the eviction, I hired Jeff and his team to come in and paint our entire home inside and out. Not only did they paint, they repaired my trim, fixed minor repairs on my walls, and kept me in the loop every step of the way. They did not ask for a down payment, their estimate was very fair, and they finished the job quickly. Hats off to J&M I am SO glad I found someone as honest and fair as Jeff. A+++

Very happy with the interior paint job. J&M came out quickly to give me an estimate and then worked with me to schedule the job ASAP as I was moving into a new place. Paint colors are what I requested. Painter and crew were friendly and had a good eye for detail. Their bid was the best value compared to the other bids I received. I had to do minimal clean up from some minor splatter after they left which I had anticipated.

I wish I could score higher than the 5.  These guys are great.  

Jeff the owner was here to do my initial estimate when he said he would be here.  I cannot say the same for 3 other painting contractors I spoke with.  

The initial job was for painting the exterior of my house and to take care of some possible damage to fascia and front porch area. Jeff's crew took care of all that without overcharging me.  His crew were here when they said they would be here. They were professional and were able to address all my concerns.  

J&M's price for the painting the exterior of my house much more reasonable than all the other quotes I had.  I was able to fit additional work for the interior of my house within my budget.

I highly recommend J&M to my friends and will definitely be using this company again for additional work.

I contacted J&M Painting Services via Yelp for a quote for an HOA-mandated exterior repaint. Stacy reached out to me via e-mail to schedule an appointment. When something unexpected came up and Jeff had to postpone his visit by a few hours (no worries -- life happens!), she not only reached out to me via e-mail but also followed-up with a call to make sure I had seen her message. Her customer service was excellent! Jeff arrived right on time and was friendly, knowledgeable and professional as he walked the property. He e-mailed me a competitive quote within an hour, followed up promptly, and answered all of my questions without pressuring me to make a decision. I ended up hiring another contractor for this particular project, but I was thoroughly impressed with J&M and will absolutely invite them back for my next painting project. I have never been inspired to review a company I didn't end up working with, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend J&M based on their top-notch customer service, no-pressure sales (honestly, I never once felt like I was being sold to; I felt like they were willing to partner with me to solve a problem), professional communication and transparency.

The owner was able to accommodate my schedule and get the job done in less than a week at a reasonable cost, so I was thrilled to find him. The painters showed up exactly as I requested, even a few minutes earlier, which was a huge bonus for me. They did a great job, and it looks awesome! I only wish I had found this company sooner! I highly recommend and will be using them in the future!

Awesome small company!! I'd definitely recommend them to anyone! The owner got to my condo 30 minutes early for the quote (totally beat me by 30 minutes!). Perfect start! The quote was extremely reasonable... 725 for paint, labor and materials for a 1 bedroom condo, I was expecting to pay around 8... plus most of the bigger companies only do exterior paint. Sean, the painter, showed up on time the morning of the job. Was extremely professional, and I was very reassures with how he conducted himself (getting shit painted is very nerve racking for me, just because I want it to be perfect), but I had no problems with leaving them the key after meeting him. Throughout the job (started on a Friday around noon, finished saturday about 2 pm), Sean called and texted me about 4 times each day, just to verify everything and make sure he got the design just right... and he did!!! I was super impressed, I had taken the outlet covers off to get them painted, and he put them back on without me even asking (awesome!) = )... he even took the vents down and painted those too!!! So all in all, this company was my third choice, do to my review liking yelping ass lol, but the first one that did interior, so from now on, they're definitely my first choice for sure!! And I would recommend them to anyone!

P.s. I'm going to upload pictures of the finished product, it is the white and grey condo!! (Don't mind the kitchen, it's still a work in progress... but the paint job is amazing!!!

STOP RIGHT NOW. THIS IS THE COMPANY YOU WANT TO USE. I cannot say enough GREAT things about our experience with J&M. Not only are their prices BY FAR the best, but the quality of work is simply amazing. We are young first time home buyers and were very overwhelmed with the process of getting our whole house painted. Jeff and Stacey were very helpful in putting our minds at ease and explaining what each work day would entail for the project. When the time came Ernesto was sent out to the job monday morning bright and early to get started, i was a little taken back by only sending out one guy for the job, but make no mistake, Ernesto is a professional in all aspects of the word. Everything was communicated to us thoroughly and we felt very confident with everything moving forward. Not only did he complete the job all by himself within the 2-3 day time period but the quality was unmatchable, he was also very accommodating in letting us take our 3 pit bulls outside and do their business during the project. We had another house getting painted down the street at the same time and they had 3 workers to our 1! Our home was finished first and looks the best by far. We really feel like we were given a new home when everything was completed and couldnt be more happy. We will recommend J&M to everyone we know and they will be the only company we consider for any and all future projects.

Called for a bid and they came within 48 hours and had the bid within 24 hours. The bid was very reasonable. We had Sean as our painter. He did an amazing job painting the whole inside of our house. We would use again and would recommended to anyone. We did not pay anything till the job was done. Great service!

I went to yelp to find an exterior house painter for my house and saw J and M with excellent reviews. Everything that was said about them was absolutely spot on. Jeff came out within 24 hours for the estimate. He walked all around the house with me and asked specific questions so that he knew exactly what I wanted. I had the written estimate again within 24 hours. I did call the office and spoke with Stacy to make sure I understood what was included. Several things I wanted I thought were extra and she assured me they were already included in the price.
I had many repairs in my stucco, some of which were pretty severe.  Ernesto came out and though I thought at first there was a mistake that he was there by himself, he proved me wrong. He completed all the repairs to the point where you would never know the holes and cracks ever existed. My house sparkles and Ernesto had to deal with 3 different colors. His attention to detail was tremendous and I feel like I am in a new house.
I highly recommend this company. They more than exceeded my expectations!

Jeff, Stacy and Ernesto were amazing! Jeff came out to give us a quote, answered all of our questions and was super friendly. Stacy was an amazing help with our follow up questions and throughout the whole process. And Ernesto did a fantastic job with our house. From the painting to the repairs needed - can't say enough wonderful things! Our house was a terrible peach/salmon color before and we changed to a light cream color with the trim and pop outs a slightly darker brown. We chose a satin finish too and he made sure the old color didn't show through anywhere and that everything was neatly done. All three were friendly, helpful and patient (I ask a lot of questions). I highly, highly recommend J&M!

I worked with Jeff on the estimate for my house exterior painting.  He took my phone call to schedule his visit even though he was on vacation when I called. He showed up 10 min early to our scheduled meeting time.  He had an estimate back to me that same day and the pricing was very competitive with my other pricing.  I had a color consult with dunn & Edwards over the weekend (prior) and asked which type of paint they recommended for the different type of painted materials, and then when I asked Jeff his recommendations and he said the exact same materials!! It is a good thing when the supplier and the contractor recommend the same products.  I would recommend anyone that is getting an estimate to call J&M.

I was very happy with the work that Pedro and his team did to the interior of my home.  Very professional, clean and nice.  The best part is that it only took  2 days to paint my home!  The price was reasonable too! :)

The first week of March we had J & M Painting paint our home. Our job required the use of five colors and an upgrade to Dunn Edwards top grade paint, Evershield. We had several bids and all were higher than J & M - $700 to $1900 higher! I had read reviews on many companies before deciding on who to receive bids from. They sent Ernesto out on the job. My first thought was where is the crew?, but after talking to Ernesto and outlining the locations to be painted I learned that he is a perfectionist who pays close attention to detail and was perfect for the task. The job he did was excellent and the lines separating the colors on the stucco walls are among the best I have seen. It has been nearly two months and I have not seen any errors! Even though it took a little longer with one man on the job, it was definitely worth it! The job from start to finish was excellent. I am so happy with the work performed.
