Adrian Electrical Contractors responded promptly.  I contacted them after an electrical issue late in the evening.  Someone answered and found an electrician who could come out and help within an hour.  Our problem was fixed in no time.  Our contractor, John, was courteous and the price was just right!  Thanks again Adrian Electrical Contractors!  I will definitely use them again if a need arises!

Scott has been our primary electrician for the past 3 years.  Whether it's installing receptacles so that we can have a mounted light in the bedrooms or installing various light fixtures, we've been very happy with Scott and his crew.  He is very considerate, knowledgeable and makes sure the job gets done correctly and timely.  If you need an electrician in Lake County, Scott's your guy!

My original review was one star due to Some real garbage work and high pricing that one of their new workers did. Kenneth refunded some of the money but it took many months of arguing which I didn't deserve because his workers didn't have proper tools or work ethic to complete the job.

A Reliable Electrician

We had a long-standing problem with some puck lights. Michael Gordon from MPG Electric was the third electrician to look at these lights. He was the first one to look into every aspect of the situation. He found several technical problems with the original installation. Why the previous electricians missed the obvious, we'll never know. Michael fixed what he could with the spare parts we had lying around. Then he left with a list of replacement parts he would need to get the job done properly. A week or so later, he returned and put everything in order. For the first time, we have lights that work. I expect that they will continue to work for years in the future.

I was referred to Michael by Crest Lighting, a very reliable source. He is a properly licensed and insured electrician. He arrived on time, despite the difficult parking situation in Lincoln Park. When he finished, we were satisfied to the point that I gave Michael's business card to our property manager. We live in a 40 story high rise. A lot of us need electricians from time to time. I would recommend Michael Gordon to anyone who needs a reliable electrician

These guys are great. I had them install a Nest doorbell and outdoor camera. They were extremely respectful of my home and everything was done professionally and cleanly. Pricing was reasonable too.

We have used Penco to service our standby generator for a few years and their attention to detail and thoroughness has been the best!  But this weekend performance tops it all.  We lost power and right away the generator kicked in.  We called ComEd thinking it was a power outage.  Long story short:  no power outage and the generator was not malfunctioning.  We were instructed by mpower to get an electrician.  I was amazed that in two hours of calling Penco, they were here on a 92 degree day checking everything out.  It turned out to not be an electric issue but rather our air conditioner died.  Thank you Penco for your outstanding customer service!

I had a problem with dimming/flickering lights and power surges that damaged several appliances/electronics so I called the electricity supplier company.  They sent someone out and then told me the problem wasn't on their end, it must be in my house and told me that I needed to call an electrician.  So I called Caval.  Their electrician came out to my house the next day and did a thorough inspection.  He determined that the problem was being caused by loose wire at the pole and not a problem in my house after all.  So I called the electric company again while he was still at my house and they tried to give me another run around.  The electrician kindly got on the phone with them and explained the problem so they could come out and fix it.  The electric company came out and fixed the wire the next day.  Thank you, Caval for going out of your way to help!  You're the best! I would totally recommend you.  5 Stars to you!!

Prompt, professional, reasonable.
We had our electric completely out due to damage to the supply line on the outside of our building. They came right out. Since I was sort of desperate, I thought the estimator was going to stick it to me, so I was ready  to pay a premium, but I was pleasantly surprised to see the fees were quoted from a laminated schedule - and they were reasonable. The work was completed professionally and promptly, including great coordination with Com-Ed. Also great email notifications.

You can't beat the quality or the service.  Did a beautiful job painting my two rooms, mounting a tv, installing shelves and some patch work around the house.  The neighbors were also very pleased with the drywall and paint matching project that was done last year as well.  Super professional and communicative.  You can't go wrong.

Very fair pricing and prompt, efficient service.  The owner, Tom Peck, is great to deal with.  He does a great job in a fast and efficient manner.

I was recommended to Duplex for my home electrical needs by a long-time friend who is an industrial electrician as the company my friend uses for his home needs. Greg and Steve at Duplex where terrific and fixed my complicated electrical issues in my old home.  I was impressed with their practical approach, as they explained what was needed for life safety and what was an optional fix if I wanted to save money.  They truly understand their craft and put customers first.  They are also extremely reliable with scheduling, which can be rare in the repair and maintenance industry. We called for an electrical short that kept setting off the circuit breaker. After 4 days of dealing with another company that had a different story everyday. We called Sam and he solved our problem in a couple of hours for a reasonable price.
He knows his electricity very well.
I would recommend him for any electrical work needed.

I had a lot of electrical issues in a rental property. After calling numerous electricians, all of whom never returned my call or if they did, never showed up, I finally reached out to A to Z Electric. They were very responsive, coming out immediately and resolving all of the issues in my rental property. I don't know if they were overpriced as I didn't have an opportunity for comparisons. While A to Z certainly were not cheap, they definitely were worth the money. There have been no further issues and I am very satisfied with the work done.
