Where do I even start - North did such a great job! I own a home that was built in 1913 and everything electrical is always a challenge.  North was able to fix a light connection that was not functioning, add lighting to the back hallway (switches were not in functioning order), and add a new switch so that we could finally use our outdoor light without having to disturb our first unit tenants.  He loves what he does and it shows.  North is a very nice guy who will try to figure out ways to save his customers money and still do an Excellent job.  Great guy, reasonable prices, excellent work!  Thank you North!

Frank was prompt and very willing to work around my work schedule.  He and his assistant, John, were professional and friendly.  I will use them again!

Mr. Dosie came out to a rental unit within 15 minutes of my phone call.  Upon arrival at the unit he called me to state that he was starting work.  Upon finishing, he called and explained the issue in detail, answering all of my questions.  Mr. Dosie was incredibly professional, and reasonably priced compared to other electricians I've used in the area.  He took my credit card information over the phone, and emailed me a receipt.  I highly recommend using Dosie Electric Service.

A Reliable Electrician

We had a long-standing problem with some puck lights. Michael Gordon from MPG Electric was the third electrician to look at these lights. He was the first one to look into every aspect of the situation. He found several technical problems with the original installation. Why the previous electricians missed the obvious, we'll never know. Michael fixed what he could with the spare parts we had lying around. Then he left with a list of replacement parts he would need to get the job done properly. A week or so later, he returned and put everything in order. For the first time, we have lights that work. I expect that they will continue to work for years in the future.

I was referred to Michael by Crest Lighting, a very reliable source. He is a properly licensed and insured electrician. He arrived on time, despite the difficult parking situation in Lincoln Park. When he finished, we were satisfied to the point that I gave Michael's business card to our property manager. We live in a 40 story high rise. A lot of us need electricians from time to time. I would recommend Michael Gordon to anyone who needs a reliable electrician

Hired Marcin to install an ev charger. I received a fair quote for the work, more reasonable than others. He did a great job on the installation.

He did another small job for us as well. Helpful and easy to work with.

We have used Penco to service our standby generator for a few years and their attention to detail and thoroughness has been the best!  But this weekend performance tops it all.  We lost power and right away the generator kicked in.  We called ComEd thinking it was a power outage.  Long story short:  no power outage and the generator was not malfunctioning.  We were instructed by mpower to get an electrician.  I was amazed that in two hours of calling Penco, they were here on a 92 degree day checking everything out.  It turned out to not be an electric issue but rather our air conditioner died.  Thank you Penco for your outstanding customer service!

Highly recommend this company. I had a faulty circuit breaker leave us without power to our coffee bar and bathroom. They were out early the next morning to fix it and also switched out a faulty GFI outlet. They knew what they were doing, were prompt and professional. I'm so glad my home warranty referred me to them. Will definitely call out again for any electrical problems I need fixed.

I called about problems I having with a garage door opener. On the phone the dispatcher said they could send someone out for $49. A really nice guy showed up but immediately said he didn't know anything about garage doors. (???) he said he could do an inspection but it would cost $99. He took the switch off the wall and said he thought the circuit board was a problem but wasn't sure. I asked if it might be the box on the ceiling. He said he didn't know. He took the cover off and looked at it but really was sure. He now thought it might be the box & the circuit, maybe also the cable. I told him that I didn't feel that maybe this, maybe that was worth $99.

Long story short, we called his supervisor, spoke to Eddie who said I didn't have to pay anything. I told him I was willing to pay the $49 since someone did have to come out, but he said it was okay.

The problem seems to have with the dispatcher not sending the correctly trained technician and not with the technician. I appreciate Eddie not charging me. Hence the 3-start rating. I really can't say if their work is good or bad, but they seem fair.

Had a great experience setting up two outdoor security cameras with Jaime and Adrian's help. They were able to fit me in on short notice. I very much appreciated how communicative the team was. Jaime called me when he was a few minutes away, checked in with questions during the job to be sure it was satisfactory, and made sure that I was aware of their progress when it looked like they needed more time than originally anticipated. While my total cost was a bit more per hour than I had been quoted by others, having two guys come (versus one) likely did make a difference in how quickly they got it done. Looking forward to having them back.

I couldn't be happier with the service provided by this company. Tom was incredibly responsive and had his team on the job the same day I contacted them...a real blessing after all the problems I have had with my contractor. They did an exceptional job and were a joy to have in my home...even my cat loved them! They were professional, conscientious, knowledgeable, and highly skilled. I will definitely have them back and I would recommend them to anyone.

Greg and Steve of Duplex Electric are great! I found a recommendation for them on next-door.com, and have since had them out to fix a few different issues. Both times I've called they have responded within hours to my voicemail messages and have come out that day or the next day. They first came out to replace a basement ceiling light. Through this they discovered that the switch was improperly wired. They explained clearly what the issue was, and fixed the switch and replaced the fixture quickly. The second time they came out to install two ceiling fixtures and to replace our kitchen outlets with GFCI outlets. Both times they explained to me clearly what the issues were, worked with safety precautions, arrived on time, and charged a reasonable amount. They are super professional, very knowledgeable, and on top of that were friendly with my crazy dogs - I will for sure call them the next time we need anything electrical fixed. Art did a wonderful job converting a hardwire connection to an electrical plug.  He was very friendly and knowledgeable and did a great job for a fair price.  I would definitely recommend AZ Electrical and will use them again.

We called for an electrical short that kept setting off the circuit breaker. After 4 days of dealing with another company that had a different story everyday. We called Sam and he solved our problem in a couple of hours for a reasonable price.
He knows his electricity very well.
I would recommend him for any electrical work needed.
He is now our go to guy.

A to Z has completed a number of jobs at my home and I have been completely satisfied. The previous owner of my house had installed an illegal electrical wiring in my garage and A to Z redid everything the right way.  They are always available when I need them and are great guys!  I highly recommend them.
