Best Electricians in United States

SmallTyme Electric Electrician
Highly recommend Norh! Very professional, responsive, and just a pleasure to work with. We had the electricity in one part of our room go out, and put off fixing the issue fearing it would be very expensive.  However, after seeing really positive reviews for Norh, we decided to get an estimate.  Norh was very responsive (providing an estimate on a holiday!) and his estimate was very reasonable.  We feel grateful for finding such an honest and professional electrician and will definitely recommend him to family and friends.

Adrian Electrical Contractors Electrician
I want to give a review to Adrian Electrical as one of the most professional electrical contractors in the Western Suburbs.  Frank accommodated us with a last minute request.  He was very prompt and knowledgeable, customer service oriented, and professional.  They are a bonded, licensed and insured company that I can give my highest recommendation!

Scott Nelson Electric Electrician
Great response time and great price.  My issue was fixed and they were in and out in 2 hours.  Eric was professional and explained everything he was doing.  I was actually scheduled for March 9th and Scott called two weeks early and said he had an opening and was out within the hour.

Dosie Electric Service Electrician
Very sad to leave this review. My request was to 1) replace a lighting fixture in the bathroom 2) troubleshoot the exhaust fan 3) to put in a microwave outlet over the range in the kitchen. He quoted me $285 for the work.

I chatted with Brian on the phone and he was very personable, straight-forward, and seemed to know what the job entailed. He said he needed to make an initial appointment to assess what tools he would need (for which he wanted $100) and then another appointment would be made a few days later (for which he wanted $185).

He came for the initial appointment, and during the second appointment - he installed an outlet for the microwave by putting a wall outlet BELOW the cabinets in the kitchen. I was not there to supervise his work, and intuition tells me that the previous ones I've seen are INSIDE the cabinet. When I was sent the photo of his work, I thought that didn't seem correct, but I assumed that he was the professional and knew what he was doing.

After this second appointment, he asked me which light fixture in the bathroom needed to be changed and said he needed a ladder for the bathroom light fixture and had to make a third appointment to install it. He also said it would be an addition $75 for the exhaust fan. I'm not sure why these issues were not brought up after the first visit.

For the third appointment, we had scheduled him and when the day came, he said he had a different day on his calendar, which did not work for us, so we had to schedule another day. During this time, a contractor saw his electrical work and said the microwave outlet was WRONG. To verify I sent the photo of the microwave outlet to an appliance installer and he said it was extremely wrong and that any professional electrician should know that the outlet goes INSIDE the cabinet. The contractor quoted me $325 to fix Brian's work.

My husband called Brian to tell him to not come for the third appointment, since we felt like we no longer trusted his work. To his credit, he said he would come and fix the microwave outlet and rectify his mistake, but my husband and I told him we were concerned that he did it so wrong the first time. We didn't want him to do any further work. My husband requested a refund and said we would post a 1 star review if we were not refunded. Brian blamed the mistake on the fact that we were not there to supervise his work (my tenant / friend let him in). Brian said he did not appreciate the threat, was very short with my husband and hung up the phone on him.

This is not written to be vindictive or to cheat someone out of money. Far from it. The job was done incorrectly. He was not prepared to complete the job within two visits as first quoted. He did not clarify the appropriate questions after the first visit and wasted his time and ours by having to schedule a third appointment. He did not own his accountability in his mistake and was not willing to be an honest businessperson and refund a dissatisfied customer in a job that was done extremely wrong.

I hadn't previously googled over the range microwave outlet before hiring Brian. I didn't assume that hiring a professional would require me to Google and send the professional a diagram of exactly what to do, but I found zero images of microwave outlets that were what Brian did.

I wanted to work with Brian due to his positive reviews and positive record of work, but this was a very negative experience. I'm currently working with a number of contractors who do not have these issues of incomplete, wrong work, lack of preparedness, and lack of courteousness. It makes me very sad to write this review, but the fact is this job was handled very poorly.

MPG Electric Electrician
We give Mike and MPG Electric 5 stars with no reservation. His work is thorough, accurate, neat, promptly completed at a fair price. He has done several smallish projects for us in the past few years. The most recent was installing new under-cabinet LED lights and a ceiling pendant in the kitchen -- life changing -- so bright! And the peace of mind in knowing that the job was done right.

Mjp Electrical Experts Electrician
We had 3 outdoor GFCI that needed to be replaced. We compared quotes from multiple contractors. MJP sounds most reasonable as he agreed to a fixed rate. Once Marcin arrived, we found that one of GFCI outlet is actually having two outlets and that means total of 4. Marcin did not charge extra. In fact, he replaced GFCI covers for free. It felt like Santa gave us a visit a little too early this year. Thanks a lot for your help. We appreciate your help and your honesty and kindness.

Penco Electric and Generators Electrician
Buying a backup electric generator is expensive insurance. If you've decided that you need to keep Ur sump pump, fridge and some other appliance running during a power outage, then call Penco Electric to do the job. I have yet to find a team of trades work so well on a project. It took all day to complete the job, but they still had time to clean the area, review the unit operation and meet the village inspection to follow. Satisfied with the whole project from the sales effort, office contact and that the owner came to check the job.

CAVAL Electric Inc. Electrician
The team that showed up was professional, upfront with pricing, and got immediately to work. I have an older home and they noticed a few issues (some bigger than others) but weren't overly dramatic about them. I've found living in an older home, professionals tend to freak out whenever they're confronted by something that isn't by the modern book. They quickly fixed what I asked for and gave me straightforward advice on how to, eventually, handle the other matters. They were early but called to confirm that was okay. Overall, very good service and will absolutely recommend and use again.

Mr Mighty Electric Electrician
Prompt service, Eddie was even early, and got right down to business, I have had no lights in the main living area for a week now, and it has been a pain.  Eddie checked everything, wall sockets, lights, inside and out and in a short time figured out the issue.  He explained everything and what happened and showed me everything.  Needless to say he did a great job and I would recommend this business to everyone I know.  ps.  I don't mind paying for someone who knows his stuff.  Great Job and thank you very much!!!!!

Duplex Electric Electrician
I had purchased a new washer/dryer and was stressed out when I found that my electrical wasn't up to code. I called about 5 different guys, 2 didn't call back, one told me he'd have to make huge cuts in my ceiling to do the job, and one was going to take 3 weeks before they could come back.

Duplex Electric came out quickly, explained the process that they planned to use and scheduled a return appointment in a reasonable time frame. They were so friendly! They have top marks on Angie's List, and are also the electricians for St. John of the Cross Parish.

They did a great job on what I needed. There were two working together, so they worked efficiently, and they explained everything to me in detail so that there was no confusion (much appreciated). I felt confident hiring them, and they made the process stress-free. I also referred them to my parents who also had an excellent experience. I would recommend them to anyone!

AZ Electrical Electrician
Art at AZ is a pleasure to work with. We've had two issues. The first was that we needed an attic exhaust fan installed. The second, a few months later, involved losing power to part of a room.
On both projects, he gave us quotes that matched the final price and that were very reasonable. He also great doing both projects on a semi-emergency basis. For the first, we had just moved into the house only to discover that the second floor had major problems in the summer. On one of the hottest days of the year, he was working in our attic. On the second, I contacted him early in the evening. He walked me through some of the basic trouble-shooting to make sure we really needed his services and when that didn't work, came out the next day.
Both times, the work was first class.

Sam's Electric Electrician
We made an appointment for an estimate and nobody showed up. I called and only received voicemail and nobody returned my calls. Based upon other more positive reviews, I was disappointed in the unprofessional treatment.

A to Z Electric Electrician
This place was a dream to work with. They're fast, affordable and skillful.
I'd recommend them to friends and family but unfortunately I'm too afraid to
do business with them again.

They came out for an emergency repair after an electrical fire in my home.
The problem was resolved in a matter of a few hours and I paid the electrician
but the complications that had followed lasted for a few months.
Unfortunately, they did not include the price of a permit nor had they updated
their permits that allow them to do work in the town of Cicero when they had done their work.
Their permits had expired roughly two days before they took my service call
resulting in fines from the town of Cicero requiring them to update their permits.
I was even told by this company that they didn't bother to update their permits because they don't get much work in Cicero. I absolutely understand that and wholeheartedly agree but if that was the case, they should not have taken my service call. Regardless, if it was an emergency or not.

Subsequently, they in turn sent me a bill, with a very condescending letter,
stating I was to pay for THEIR business permits for the minor job they had
so graciously done for me.

It was a very insulting letter with an air of condescension but nonetheless
it was something that needed to be resolved and their receptionist was extremely
courteous in helping me resolve this issue.

I stood firm in my decision not to pay for their business permit. My name is not
on the front door, I do advertise to be an electrician myself, so therefore, it is not
my nor anyone's responsibility to pay for a business permit for a business I do not own. If your permits needed to be paid, you should have included that in your pricing regardless of how big or small the job.

They knew this. They stopped asking me to pay for their bills.

They also have a sister company called Diamond Home Services.
If you do work with A to Z Electric, your phone number will be placed on Diamond
Home Service's calling list.

I would absolutely do business with both of these companies again if it
weren't for their condescending letter and their audacity to try and stick me
with a bill to update their business permits. I'm just afraid that if I were to call
them up for business, I'd be given an unreasonable estimate or receive
unsatisfactory work.
