Best Electricians in United States
Where do I even start - North did such a great job! I own a home that was built in 1913 and everything electrical is always a challenge. North was able to fix a light connection that was not functioning, add lighting to the back hallway (switches were not in functioning order), and add a new switch so that we could finally use our outdoor light without having to disturb our first unit tenants. He loves what he does and it shows. North is a very nice guy who will try to figure out ways to save his customers money and still do an Excellent job. Great guy, reasonable prices, excellent work! Thank you North!

Adrian Electric is great and we highly recommend them. Frank is by far one of the most professional, knowledgeable, and courteous professionals I have done business with in the home services sector. He installed complicated lighting for us and did a tremendous job. We will definitely be using Adrian electric for all our electrical needs in the future.

I called a couple electricians and no one could come out for months. Did a Google search and came across Scott Nelson Electronics. They were able to come out within the week. Bought a condo and needed a few things.... 8 GFCI outlets in bathrooms and kitchen , installation of nest thermostat, and had exposed wires under garbage disposal. The guy came on time.... If not a few minutes early. Very respectful. Wore a mask entire time. Efficient. I bought most of the outlets and thermostat ahead of time. I was short two GFCI outlets and bought them from the electrician. Total was $250. Very reasonable. Will definitely use them for future projects!

Very sad to leave this review. My request was to 1) replace a lighting fixture in the bathroom 2) troubleshoot the exhaust fan 3) to put in a microwave outlet over the range in the kitchen. He quoted me $285 for the work.
I chatted with Brian on the phone and he was very personable, straight-forward, and seemed to know what the job entailed. He said he needed to make an initial appointment to assess what tools he would need (for which he wanted $100) and then another appointment would be made a few days later (for which he wanted $185).
He came for the initial appointment, and during the second appointment - he installed an outlet for the microwave by putting a wall outlet BELOW the cabinets in the kitchen. I was not there to supervise his work, and intuition tells me that the previous ones I've seen are INSIDE the cabinet. When I was sent the photo of his work, I thought that didn't seem correct, but I assumed that he was the professional and knew what he was doing.
After this second appointment, he asked me which light fixture in the bathroom needed to be changed and said he needed a ladder for the bathroom light fixture and had to make a third appointment to install it. He also said it would be an addition $75 for the exhaust fan. I'm not sure why these issues were not brought up after the first visit.
For the third appointment, we had scheduled him and when the day came, he said he had a different day on his calendar, which did not work for us, so we had to schedule another day. During this time, a contractor saw his electrical work and said the microwave outlet was WRONG. To verify I sent the photo of the microwave outlet to an appliance installer and he said it was extremely wrong and that any professional electrician should know that the outlet goes INSIDE the cabinet. The contractor quoted me $325 to fix Brian's work.
My husband called Brian to tell him to not come for the third appointment, since we felt like we no longer trusted his work. To his credit, he said he would come and fix the microwave outlet and rectify his mistake, but my husband and I told him we were concerned that he did it so wrong the first time. We didn't want him to do any further work. My husband requested a refund and said we would post a 1 star review if we were not refunded. Brian blamed the mistake on the fact that we were not there to supervise his work (my tenant / friend let him in). Brian said he did not appreciate the threat, was very short with my husband and hung up the phone on him.
This is not written to be vindictive or to cheat someone out of money. Far from it. The job was done incorrectly. He was not prepared to complete the job within two visits as first quoted. He did not clarify the appropriate questions after the first visit and wasted his time and ours by having to schedule a third appointment. He did not own his accountability in his mistake and was not willing to be an honest businessperson and refund a dissatisfied customer in a job that was done extremely wrong.
I hadn't previously googled over the range microwave outlet before hiring Brian. I didn't assume that hiring a professional would require me to Google and send the professional a diagram of exactly what to do, but I found zero images of microwave outlets that were what Brian did.
I wanted to work with Brian due to his positive reviews and positive record of work, but this was a very negative experience. I'm currently working with a number of contractors who do not have these issues of incomplete, wrong work, lack of preparedness, and lack of courteousness. It makes me very sad to write this review, but the fact is this job was handled very poorly.

Mike Gordon of MPG Electric did an outstanding job replacing under cabinet lighting as well as hanging a fixture that I hesitated to buy due to review after review saying how hard it was for their person to hang. I liked the looks of it and decided to take the chance despite the reviews. He had absolutely no trouble because he really knows what he is doing. In addition, he generously offers his time to answer questions as well as help with purchasing. His patience is extraordinary.
Our previous electrician left us with dimmers that didn't work for years. Mike knew exactly what to use and they work fine for the first time since we lived in this home. He is honest and charges fairly. We intended to add a dimmer to our kitchen fixture but then we weren't sure if it was needed. He was fine with letting us check it out at night, where we could judge better, and get back to him. He offered to come back and not charge the initial first hour charge or return it depending on our decision. He really cares about his customers! We highly recommend him!

Mjp electric was awesome! A true professional from beginning to end. He gave me a reasonable quote to install a motion sensor light on the exterior of my home. He respected my property and me by wearing shoes covers and a face mask every time he entered my home during the install. He treated my home like it was worth a million bucks. Besides all this he has a absolutely friendly personality. I will definitely use him again! Thanks for the great job!

Just called Penco for help with our thermostat wiring, and the person who answered (blanking ugh) was SO friendly, and SO helpful. Basically saved us money for someone from their company coming out and telling us the same exact thing he did on the phone, which is totally honest and legit in my opinion. Not many would do that these days. He gave me all the info I needed to know this was a 100% HVAC company issue and what would be a Penco Electric assisted job. Will be calling them if needed!

This guy took really good care of an outlet in my kitchen - very professional and informational.

Good job, but expensive.
I had 3 pendant light fixtures changed, and a couple of wall outlet covers replaced, all of which took about 1 hrs work and was charged $500. He was coaching his son through the installation so he could get experience.
After observing how easily light fixtures are exchanged, I wish I had more DIY saavy and saved money. Definately buyers remorse.
Ricks polite questioning about how much my Gold Coast condo HOA fee and how much the light pendants cost were inappropriate.
Bottom line. Don't hire them for an easy job. It's overpriced. Hire a handyman at a lower rate.

Needed some custom built-in shelving, after receiving a number of quotes I decided to go with the Good Guys Handyman as they were very fairly priced and incredibly responsive from start to finish. Given the size of the shelving needed they also helped with a number of aspects I had not considered on the design to make sure it would be durable.
I was constantly kept updated with photos to show progress and make sure design was in line with what I asked for, end product was completed it to an excellent quality. They were in and out in 2 days leaving the place as clean as what it was before hand. Highly recommend these guys!

I couldn't be happier with the service provided by this company. Tom was incredibly responsive and had his team on the job the same day I contacted them...a real blessing after all the problems I have had with my contractor. They did an exceptional job and were a joy to have in my home...even my cat loved them! They were professional, conscientious, knowledgeable, and highly skilled. I will definitely have them back and I would recommend them to anyone.

My fixer bought caulk for my job, which i was billed for. He offered to go to Home Depot to buy for me. They charge a very high fee for this service so don't do that! When he finished the job he took the unused caulk with him, which I paid for. I would never use this company again for any services!!

Mike and his crew ALWAYS do an outstanding job. I would recommend them anytime.

With Duplex it's like having a family member helping you. These two brothers are seasoned electricians who work fast, do great work and clean up everything before they leave. Very friendly and outgoing guys who I trust entirely to be in my home. Especially if you have an older home these guys have the experience and skills to solve any electrical problem.

Art came by on a Friday afternoon to troubleshoot a room that had lost power. He was willing to squeeze us in last minute when other places told me they could only do Monday. He found the short and had it all fixed within an hour and charged exactly what he quoted. We will definitely be calling him if we need work done in the future.

We made an appointment for an estimate and nobody showed up. I called and only received voicemail and nobody returned my calls. Based upon other more positive reviews, I was disappointed in the unprofessional treatment.
Palos Hills, IL 60465
a tree branch fell and took out the pipe to our electric meter. I called 3 companies , a to z was the first one to come out. the estimate was clear and professional . only one other company came out, and was miles off and vague on their estimate . Bob was efficient fast and super respectful . Highly recommend them.
