Very friendly and knowledgeable. Norh quoted me for several projects, and ended up running a 220 outlet for my dryer across the house, and adding an outlet. He also helped me figure out a problem I had with some switched outlets. His pricing was really fair. If I need an electrician again, this is who I will call.

Frank maintained a clear line of communication via phone calls and texts throughout the estimation and scheduling process. I found him to be polite, professional, and competent. I had him install a new outlet for an over the range microwave and had him swap out an old two prong outlet with a 3 prong. Great honest service from someone who is dedicated and hard working - not easy to find these days.

Apparently Nelson Electronics does not do Business in the City of Chicago. I did not see the exclusion in the ad. I was hoping that we could do business.

Immediate, no-nonsense service. I didn't even leave a message--Ken called me back just because his phone showed that someone had called. An hour later, he was at my house diagnosing my problem. Will definitely use again.

We have a new go-to electrician. Mike is extremely responsive and detailed in his communications. He agreed to help install a new light switch for my elderly aunts. (It turns out, they are neighbors!) Unbeknownst to me, a caregiver fixed the light before Mike even got there for the appointment. Instead of being annoyed, he double-checked the work and made a change to make sure it was safe. He did not take any money from my aunts, and instead gave them a card and reassured them if they had questions or problems, they could call him. Kind, honest, conscientious and detail-oriented. Thank you, Mike!!

These guys are great. I had them install a Nest doorbell and outdoor camera. They were extremely respectful of my home and everything was done professionally and cleanly. Pricing was reasonable too.

I use Penco for annual maintenance of my Generac generator.  They are very knowledgeable, courteous and reasonable.  Great company to work with.

I had a problem with dimming/flickering lights and power surges that damaged several appliances/electronics so I called the electricity supplier company.  They sent someone out and then told me the problem wasn't on their end, it must be in my house and told me that I needed to call an electrician.  So I called Caval.  Their electrician came out to my house the next day and did a thorough inspection.  He determined that the problem was being caused by loose wire at the pole and not a problem in my house after all.  So I called the electric company again while he was still at my house and they tried to give me another run around.  The electrician kindly got on the phone with them and explained the problem so they could come out and fix it.  The electric company came out and fixed the wire the next day.  Thank you, Caval for going out of your way to help!  You're the best! I would totally recommend you.  5 Stars to you!!

We had a very good experience with Rick from Mr. Mighty. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and polite. He thought ahead about what we might need with our fan installation and told us what questions to ask the light shop before we bought the fan/light. He was always on time and wore shoe covers when working in our house, which was thoughtful. On his way out he asked if he could see the make/model of our fuse box to note it for any future calls. We would definitely call him for future jobs.

Update: We did call Mr. Mighty again to have another fan/light installed in a different room. Rick was no longer with the company, but Frank and Ed did an equally fantastic job! Thank you very much!

These guys were great. Called them today and they came out at the end of their long busy day to fix an odd siding problem that sprang up. They were super communicative and did a nice job.  Will be calling them again.

I couldn't be happier with the service provided by this company. Tom was incredibly responsive and had his team on the job the same day I contacted them...a real blessing after all the problems I have had with my contractor. They did an exceptional job and were a joy to have in my home...even my cat loved them! They were professional, conscientious, knowledgeable, and highly skilled. I will definitely have them back and I would recommend them to anyone.

Hired Fixer to replace a bathroom vent. Scheduling was super easy and they were really nice about me having to reschedule. Kyle and Orion did a great job on the replacement. They were really fast and answered a ton of my questions. Would definitely recommend!

I was recommended to Duplex for my home electrical needs by a long-time friend who is an industrial electrician as the company my friend uses for his home needs. Greg and Steve at Duplex where terrific and fixed my complicated electrical issues in my old home.  I was impressed with their practical approach, as they explained what was needed for life safety and what was an optional fix if I wanted to save money.  They truly understand their craft and put customers first.  They are also extremely reliable with scheduling, which can be rare in the repair and maintenance industry. Art was quick to respond, great with communication, I had a variety of issues that warranted a variety of solutions and he handled them all professionally and efficiently; we are happy with the motion detector master closet light, our new properly functioning master bath light switch, and he advised us on better outside light replacements on our garage that no longer worked and installed them same day. Sam came to my home to add a 220 line for a hot tub I had installed.  the work was impeccable and he took the time to explain things, did my special requests, and even came back to hook up the hot tub after they delivered it as part of my job. he is very reasonable and quick to respond.

This company ran a credit check without my permission. Can you imagine, I have an inquiry on my credit report because I had a small light fixture installed. Also, two years later, I am getting calls from Diamond Home asking if I have any remodeling needs. I recommend finding an electrician  with better  business ethics.
