WOW, this company is AMAZING!!! I called because of the GREAT reviews and now I must write one. My house lights were flickering and the power in my garage burned up my Garage Door opener. I called AArdvark Electric and right away Frank (owner) answered and told me to do a number of trouble shooting things myself to see if it was anything myself or ComEd could fix to save me money for a house call from him. Well, I still needed the house call from AArdvark, so I called for them to come out and he sent Chris. Chris immediately identified that the main neutral was the problem so he began to replace that when Frank came by to check and make sure everything was going well....they fixed some other problems and stayed until the job was completed to the highest standards. Well, the flickering lights still were occurring so Frank called ComEd and started a work order...ComEd found a loose connection and we thought everything was solved, but then my garage power went out after ComEd came by...Frank advised me to keep calling ComEd and they eventually replaced all my overhead wires and connections...they were satisfied that everything on the outside was good, but I still had intermittent power in the garage...I called Frank again and he was willing to come out late on Thursday before Easter, but I told him I needed to go out and that I would call after Easter. That's what I love about this company...He is in constant communication with his customers which is rare now-a-days...

Today-the day after Easter- I called and Frank answered even though he is REALLY sick. He sent Chris TODAY who immediately found out that I had a short and found the right connector box where it was occurring...he further found out that the people who I bought the house from had no neutral going to my garage but made the ground my neutral which apparently no electrician would do...(did I mention that my house was a foreclosure when I bought it?)

Chris fixed everything and all is good now at my house and garage...Frank and Chris are amazing I will recommend this company to anyone!!!! Customer service and professionalism I thought didn't exist anymore....Thanks so much AArdvark!!!!

I had 240V outlet installed for my Tesla and they did a great job to install the outlet. It takes only a few days from I decided to use their service to them ordered the permit and came to install it. Overall very good experience and highly recommended!

I had a patio outlet catch on fire in my tenants townhouse. 7 other electricians didn't even get back to me, but I called these guys and heard right back and he was there in a few hours and took care of it. Nice and professional and reasonable prices. I plan to use them for all of my electrical needs now!

Jose & Jesse were professional, responsive, and very helpful! We had a plumbing job and reached out for a quote. They came and provided quotes for 2 different options and then scheduled the service quickly. The work was great, but we had a small issue after that wasn't really their fault & would have been easy for them to brush off (water pressure in a different room was impacted by them turning off our water for the work they did) but they came back the next day and fixed it - now it's actually better than it was before they came. Thanks so much guys!!

Quick service and installation of a tricky light fixture! Took two hours for a new chandelier, but that was with needing to do a little re-wiring. Professional and easy to work with!

Lukasz and Maggie are great people and very reliable. They were so quick to respond and accommodate our needs on a service panel upgrade and dishwasher wiring installation. Lukasz came on time, answered all my questions and did a great job. I would work with them again if I ever need electrical work done.

I had an interesting project that I needed an electrician's expertise on.  I'm making my garage into a home gym and since it's detached, I would need more heating for the winter.  I wanted to place additional electric space heaters out there - but I didn't have sufficient wiring out there to support it.  Vilano Electric was able to walk me through all of my options and troubleshoot what he would be able to accomplish with me.  He adequately explained everything he was going to do and ensured I understood the work prior to starting.  He gave me an accurate estimate that I thought was fair and he was then able to finish the job in one day. He was also highly cautious about always wearing a mask.  I would highly recommend this company...and as a new homeowner, I will be going back to them with future projects.

Overall - great service and great work.  We had some minor electrical work needed for our home (moving / adding new outlets).  Todd was very helpful in suggesting the best way to get things done and doing it all in a very timely fashion.  He was on-time for the appointment, and he helped out with some other minor issues we had in the apartment.  Would definitely recommend.

Mohammed was always on time and attentive to details and able to spot other problems that needed to be fixed. He got the job done in a timely matter.

Ed and his team are simply amazing. I've used him at least three times and feel badly for not writing a review sooner. This last job was a big one. He and his people were always on time, super thorough, incredibly knowledgeable, very conscientious and more than fair/competitive on rates. Small jobs to wiring a brand new commercial building - do yourself a favor and call Ed. Guys/companies like him are hard to find. Besides, he as a personality and is a pleasure to work with.

I am a new homeowner with a charming but not so handy husband.  I'm always skeptical scheduling with contractors because my husband and I have no idea how much things should cost and what is involved in repairs. AM&L addressed a few minor issues that were identified in our home inspection (faulty light switches, light fixture and ceiling fan issues) quickly and explained what was involved prior to doing the work.  They were even able to repair the light kit in one ceiling fan I thought I was going to need to completely replace.  I will definitely contact AM&L for future electric needs.

As I type this review, a crew from Alternating Currents is in the middle of a big job on my 1947-built brick ranch with plaster walls. They're updating our panel from 100 amp service to 200 (w/power surge protection), adding a dozen or so much-needed outlets throughout the house, putting ceiling lights in our living room, installing a new fancy exhaust fan with heater in a chilly basement bathroom, and creating the necessary additional circuits to distribute the power accordingly. Today is Day Three of this endeavor. The crew is taking great care to keep the cuts and dust to a minimum, but it's a messy project. The crew leaders have been listening and responding to our needs, advising us every step of the way. They're notifying us and getting approval before making any cuts into the walls and ceilings. While we've taken steps to move many belongings out to the garage, they are deftly working around our stuff. And they've been very patient with our overly-curious and somewhat protective mutt. Since the job is still in progress, I'll follow up with additional info. at later date.

I called Howard after we had a scary experience one night  with our front hall ceiling fixture, which spouted flames after I screwed in a light bulb. He came over the next day and confirmed that our fixture was shot. He was very prepared and professional and did a fantastic job. I had him come back to install a replacement fixture and install a new one in my daughter's room as well. Both jobs were quick and look great! I would definitely use Howard again!

We have a tankless water heater and it stopped working last Tuesday night.  I called over 10 places, one said they could be here Wednesday before 5pm.  No call no show.  On Thursday I called Little Tommy Plumbing who sent over Josh to fix the equipment.  Josh showed up on time, assessed the situation and had to order a special part.  It was overnighted and received late Friday night.  Yesterday, Monday, Josh showed up and replaced the part and quess who was in the shower before the plumber was out of the driveway.

Goran arrived on time, identified and addressed the issue while on site, and had the best rates of anyone we found in our service area. Two thumbs up!
