I received a quote for some lighting work several months ago from them, but ended up going with a different company that was cheaper but seemed less experienced. When I started having issues with the lighting, I had two separate people come by, purchased multiple different parts, and nobody could figure out the problem. I called Current Electric and they were able to come out in a few days. Within 10 minutes, Remi was able to figure out the problem and fix it. He also gave us some useful tips on which light bulbs to purchase. They are definitely pricier than some other options, but it is worth it to have the job done right. Highly recommend!

Wow!!  Since buying my vintage home in Andersonville we have had one issue after another. People are scared to do work in our home because they are not experienced in working with older homes. Not only was Kent extremely knowledgeable, he was very personable. I felt completely comfortable and trusted his expertise. Out of 7  Companies the only one who could come on that Day.  A bit high, but the price is displayed on the web site.  On  time and in and out in 30 minutes.  Very nice . I would hire again

I'm in the process of buying a home and needed estimates on some fixes after the inspector reviewed the home. I messaged LMV and they called me within 5 minutes giving me ranges of estimates for my questions even though they didn't have all the necessary information. They called me back again after i had forgotten to ask another question within a couple minutes and once again gave me estimates on a variety of possibilities. They were quick and very informative and you can't ask for more.

I am amazed that I am the first person to review this company. Any one who owns property knows how wonderful (and difficult) it is to find a professional, reliable, funny, and super friendly electrician/plumber/contractor/handyman. Well, with Ed, I found The One. He's just fantastic in every way. I recently hired him to repair the doorbells at my two-flat and, as always, he was reasonably priced and available that day. I've used Ed before for some minor electrical work, and this time was no different. He quickly diagnoses the problem, gets it fixed, he's a pleasure to chat with (he has that dry sense of humor that I love), and his prices are very fair (I never feel jipped when he leaves...in fact, I typically think that's it?). I highly recommend Ed for all of your electrical needs. You will be extremely pleased with his services and your wallet won't be empty:-)

AM&L was referred by my Oak Park based Plumber. I spoke with the owner, Steve.  AM&L installed an exhaust bathroom fan/heater/light combo unit.  My house is 121 year old Oak Park Victorian. Dave, the electrician and his assistant worked diligently through a few challenges over a two day period to run the wires  - all inside from the basement floor circuit box to the second floor.  AML was very reliable, consistently followed Covid protocol and did an outstanding job. The best electrician I have hired in my 28 years in Oak Park. Highly recommended!

Look no further if you want an HONEST and EXPERIENCED electrician. During the extreme cold (yes, the one when where it was colder here than in Antarctica) our power went out for a few hours and as a result, several of my circuit breakers did not respond. I have the outdated push-in on/off circuit breakers. Howard told me that these types of circuit breakers are no longer manufactured, but he has a collection of good ones of the type I needed that he had collected over his many years of EXPERIENCES. Here's the HONESTY/KNOWLEDGEABLE part--another not-so-honest or not-as-aware electrician could have told me that because my type of circuit breaker are no longer manufactured I would need to install an entirely new circuit breaker box. Think thousands!!!  He also fixed a ballast  that I thought needed to be replaced. Again, HONESTY and EXPERIENCE. Howard explained I had to have both fluorescent bulbs in place for the fixture to function properly. I only had one in that constantly flickered Of course, he had the exact bulb size I needed (also hard to find). Upon completion, I felt Howard's bill was quite reasonable and all systems are go! [He is also an aficionado repairing and restoring very old cars. :-) ]

I had North Shore Electric replace 5 outside lights, repair a wall light and install a Cable TV cable outlet in the wall of my 100 year old house and they did an outstanding job.  

Michael came on time and provided professional and knowledgeable service.  He saved me time and money with good recommendations and he completed all the work and cleaned all work areas in just 2 hours.

I wholeheartedly recommend North Shore Electric.
