Used Oakwood Lighting to purchase and install a stand-by generator plus bring our electrical panel up to code.  From start to finish, Rob was professional yet he took a personal interest in everything that was done.  They even stopped here on a holiday weekend to double check that the location was exact before submitting the plans to our village for permits.  His crew was friendly, efficient and cleaned up well after the jobs were complete.  We have found our electrician for forever (is that a BEF?)

Had an issue where I needed a replacement of an old pushmatic breaker to comply with an inspection.   Don came himself and was able to get me up and running !!!  He even fixed some of the honey do items I incorrectly installed..

I had the team at Bright Electric install a transfer switch in my home to enable portable battery backup devices to run critical circuits in the event of a power outage. Had a minor electrical emergency at our place and called Al. He was in the middle of another job, but was really close. He was at our place in less than 30 minutes, spent another 30 diagnosing the problem and gave us a temporary fix until he could come several days later.

A few days later he came with his son and they spent almost the entire day pulling all the old ceiling/attic wiring from our 100 yr old Bungalow. They replaced everything with new wiring all the way to the breaker box, installed some new switches/dimmers and a new ceiling fixture. They did a great job and cleaned up everything completely. It's so hard to find honest contractors in Chicago and Al is just a fantastic person to deal with.

Gino and his guys were prompt, courteous and professional. They covered our floor and furniture and cleaned up after the work. We would recommend him to anyone!

Wow!  Added 3 surface mounted spots in the ceiling and a wall switch in our 100+ yr old house in Wilmette. Zero mess. Nothing to paint or patch. Ryan arrived - covered everything with tarps - neatly laid out all the tools and parts needed, consulted on location with my wife and finished before 3pm. Could not be more satisfied.

I wanted more light in my kitchen so I went to Home Depot thinking it would be a simple DIY project but after the lighting guy there told me they could give me a referral I figured it was worth talking to someone about helping me with it. They took some basic information and the next morning Josh from Frankfort Electric called me. We talked about what I wanted and scheduled a visit. He was very knowledgeable and gave me some suggestions about alternative ways to achieve my goal The estimated cost he gave me was what he charged me. I ended up spending more than I'd planned but it was so worth it. He finished my projects in one day. He came prepared and worked non-stop until everything was finished. I am over-the-moon about the final result.  I highly recommend Josh and will definitely hire him again for more electrical work in the spring.  P.S... minimal clean-up and he's licensed and insured.

I found this company on Yelp when looking to have two ceiling fans installed. They quoted a fair price, and scheduled the work a week later. Showed up on time, which is important for me, and completed the job rather quickly with great attention to detail. I'll be calling them for future electrical tasks around my house.

Very satisfied! Called, got my appointment same day as he was willing to come in the evenings to accommodate my schedule.  Electrician replaced my light fixture without charging any extra for extra parts and from the hourly rate he had quoted which was VERY reasonable.  Overall, couldn't have worked out any better.

Fast, on time, honest service.  We asked for a pre home inspection of our electrical panel, expecting news that we'd need to a good amount of cleaning up (it's from the 1970's) but Ted took his time to thoroughly examine, and confidently determined it's in great order, safe, etc.  He said it was up to code and there was no reason to do anything to it.  What a huge relief.  He is putting it on letterhead for us, for a future home inspection for peace of mind.  Very minimal charge for his service.  I am highly recommending Kinetic Energy (and Ted!) - they were honest, amazing!!

Terrible service, felt scammed the entire time. Tried to up charge me by hundreds of dollars. Took advantage of me not knowing electrical issues. Tried to charge me $650 for what second electrician I called told me was $120 worth of repairs. Beyond frustrating company to work with.
