I was happy with our finished product and all aspects of my project were completed to my liking. I highly recommend Dwell House for your remodeling needs.

In one word: HORRIBLE! But, let me explain because it might be hard to fathom.
My wife and I caught the installers attempting to steal two unopened boxes of tile. They placed the tile in the bed of their truck and tried to hide it by covering with a blanket. When confronted, they claimed Tintas asked them to bring it back because we would be short on tile and samples were needed. Yes, two full unopened boxes of tile were being requested as a sample on a Saturday afternoon...before Easter Sunday? Oh btw, I currently have, after the installation has been completed, 19 unopened boxes of tile...so we surely were not going to be short and surely no samples were going to be needed.
At this point, this was my personal property and they had zero permission to remove it from my premise...regardless! When Tintas was confronted on the above, they said these installers were just trying bring back extra tiles and these installers have never had any complaints before in regards to theft. What? The job was not even two-thirds completed, they tried to hide the theft with a blanket, and Tintas minimized this by allowing the excuses of extra tile to be stolen & pointed to their supposedly previous theft track record.
Word of warning, if you decide to purchase from and have Tintas perform the installation please watch their workers every second they are in your home. Subsequently and unfortunately, I have found other items missing but I can't prove who stole them from my premises, but what I do know without a doubt is that those items were stolen while the installation was being performed and the precedence of theft was established by the Tintas installers. Now, I have to go through the legal process to attempt to recover my items and/ or receive reimbursement from my insurance company.
Don't let this happen to YOU!
Regardless and without a doubt, the facts are:
1. Tintas' installers attempted to steal $127 of MY personal property (value of the two boxes)!
2. When Tintas' owner was confronted with the theft, he trivialized it by pointing to the installer's previous track record and had no problem making excuses for their attempted theft of my property!
There were numerous other issues with this service & installation besides the theft; however, Tintas has made fair restitution on them and I think it's most important to focus on the most egregious...THEFT by the Tintas installers and the follow up excuses by Tintas' owner!

This is a 5 star roofing Company. My insurance company had given me a three week limit to repair my roof or they were not going to renew my policy. I called Alex and explained my situation. He was supportive and understood my limited time line. He immediately came over. He quoted me a fair price and began the work within a week.
Alex and his crew are kind, clean, professional and very understanding. I was stressed that the insurance company was giving me such a short amount of time to repair the roof. Alex was our knight in shining Armor.
I highly recommend this company for any of your construction needs.

Jesus from JYK Construction did the job of removing loose, water damaged stucco from the street side of my garden wall, redid the stucco and repainted.
He was easy to communicate with in English, came promptly to view the job and gave me the estimate within a day. He was easier to work with than other, bigger companies.
Their estimate was reasonable and they offered a warranty so I gave them the job. They came exactly when stated, Jesus and his helper worked hard and did a good job.
I can recommend them. They are a very small company but they do competent work.

We hired Affordable bathrooms to remodel 2 small bathrooms on January 10, 2017. We told the salesman, Billy, that we needed this completed by March 9th because of our commitments. They didn't even contact me to START the job until 4 weeks later and I called them. (We went by the company address and it was a vacant building, the other address had no signs) They finished on March 27th. They wouldn't show up for days at a time with no contact. Texts, emails and phone calls went unreturned. We fired them once, but relented when they gave us an end date and then they went past that too. We were held hostage in our home waiting for someone to call or show up to work. The silver lining was that the workers, Matt and the tile crew did a good job, (hence the 2 stars)but the project manager, Joe Metry, who said he would be there, actually showed up 3 times in 9 weeks, and that was because we would call with a problem. I would suggest spending a bit more and hiring a company that communicates and tells the truth about expectations. I do not recommend this company for anyone who values customer service and an honest communication. The end result was definitely not worth the headache.

****SLIMY, LYING, ZERO INTEGRITY**** DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME
Joe, the GC/owner, lied repeatedly throughout the project. He does NOT ever accept any responsibility for his severe inability to communicate with his sub's, us, and his vendor's about the project details. Expect to foreman your own job if you want it done right. MY husband was the foreman from start to finish. Every single sub contractor that came over, every single time never had any direction or idea what to do.
Rather than having integrity and doing what's ethical when mistakes were made *THERE WERE ALOT* by taking responsibility for them, Joe instead placed the blame on me and my husband. EVERY SINGLE TIME. The project went 2.5 months over due date. He continued to give excuses from being too busy to handle the load, to having medical issues, to finally him blaming Covid for the delay.
The final outcome is acceptable, only because my husband spent the time during work giving direction to the sub contractor's and away from work to be home to QC the sub contracto'r work. It's concerning to think how bad it could've been because Joe doesn't have any method for managing his jobs, communicating effectively with anyone, and he doesn't utilize any quality guidelines.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Original Review from February 2013:
Thanks to the Homework team for doing a fantastic job on our bathroom (complete remodel) and kitchen door to our 1920s historic neighborhood home. My wife and I are thrilled with the craftsmanship and attention to detail. The primary contractor, Rod, is just a great guy and clearly cares about the satisfaction of each customer. He noticed a few slight imperfections that we didn't even notice and fixed them himself ---and its that kind of attention to the little, tiny details that really makes a difference.
During the planning process we received several estimates from different companies, but we were impressed with Steve's straight-forward approach. When a delay on our end meant that he could not finish the job as initially promised, he was upfront about that, and didn't fib or downplay it just to get our business. We found that refreshing and hired your company. A decision that we are glad we made. My wife and I give you our highest recommendation
DECEMBER 2015 UPDATE:
A few months ago we realized we had a serious leak in our bedroom. The remediation company thought the causation was the air conditioner and removed the heavily damaged wood flooring in our bedroom. As they continued remediation efforts we noticed new water pooling in our bedroom closet and realized the problem may be our shower. We called Steve at Homework Remodels and told him about the problem and asked him to come out and take a look. Steve came out the next day with his team and examined the problem. We couldn't be home due to work, so we trusted Steve to let us know the problem. Steve removed part of the wall between the bathroom and the closet to examine the shower that his company had put in a few years ago.
Steve then called me at work to tell me that the problem was a big leak in the shower that his company put in. It seems the subcontractor made a serious mistake in order to get the waterproof liniing in and made it vulnerable to leaks. Steve then assured me, without being asked, that his company would fix the problem and fix everything. My wife and I were estatic to find that when something goes wrong, there are still folks who stand completely behind their work and their promises.
Now a few weeks later, the leak has been repaired and the shower completely redone (correctly). We are very happy the work and the continued integrity of his company. Keep in mind, we weren't home when he inspected the leak and he really could have blamed it on anything --or even applied some sort of quick fix to the leak and covered it up. Instead he was completely honest and fixed it the right way. I have complete trust in Steve, Rod, and the Homework team and highly recommend them.

I'm in the midst of acquiring multiple estimates to remodel our master bathroom. So far, FHR Construction stood out the most. Oron, the owner, was very energetic and came up with a few interesting remodeling suggestions. He explained the construction process thoroughly and a project manager will be assigned to oversee the project. Their graphics designer, Jeremy, then put together suggested bathroom designs into multiple 3D images. That helps a lot in identifying changes needed and envisioning the overall bathroom layout, prior to start of construction.
Also, FHR construction has a huge selection of stone and tile which is more reasonably priced than other nearby showrooms. their attention to detail, quality of products and services exceeded my expectations.

We hired Jerry to redo our guest shower, fireplace and master shower and tub. After he did our master shower and tub we decided to go with a different company for our fireplace and guest bath. A job that should take 2 weeks top took him over 1 month to complete. Even still there are touch up items he didn't even finish. He was full of excuses through our the entire job. He had 2 months between hiring him and starting the job and when he started he didn't have any supplies for the job. I would have thought he would have been prepared. Instead he demoed our bathroom left it for a week and after a week came back and started doing some of the job. We were disappointed he did not work on our job everyday. Everything he ordered was wrong or wasn't even ordered. We were delayed because he never ordered the tile for our shower. He blamed the tile shop saying they never processed the order. He blamed all the wrong ordered items on the company he ordered from...build.com. If build.com sent the wrong items on 3 separate orders I wouldn't be using build.com anymore and if it is a pattern for build.com to send the wrong items I'm sure they wouldn't be in business anymore. He also ordered the wrong size glass for the shower...again blamed the glass company. All of his mistakes delayed the job usually by a week. Our final product was nice but not great. We hired a different company for our guest bath and fireplace and wow their tile job was better, they were timely and I was thankful they fixed a few tile pieces and finish work from Jerry's guys. Jerry is a nice guy but I would not recommend him to do any construction work for you.

The consultant started out very nice and then became very pushy with propaganda videos and would not give us a itemized breakdown of the renovations. When the quote did present it was over double our budget (which she didn't even ask about) and she immediately started pushing for a down payment and credit checks. When we asked for some time to go over numbers she became very nasty and dismissive with us and packed her stuff so quickly it was uncomfortable. There is no way it should cost over $20,000 for a fiberglass tub, vanity, and vinyl flooring.

I paid David Roberts $9000 for a home project in Kingman that he has done little work on that was to be completed in June 2021. I understand that he has personal issues that have complicated his life, however, he is a businessman and needs to complete his contract with me. I will replace this adverse review with a positive recommendation upon completion of the project. David did call me today assuring me that he would get back on the job. Let's get it done, David. Until then I could not recommend doing business with you.

I hired Wendler Construction to renovate my home, he in turn hired D and J Construction to frame parts of the original house, an 800 sqft addition and garage. They did a horrible job... they used 2x4's when the plans called for 2x6's, used wrong footings on the front wall of the house, used wrong calculations on the truss fabrication thus not allowing enough room for the hvac duct work, and had to reframe interior walls and a new skylight, which they did wrong resulting in having to purchase a custom skylight. Wendler Construction's lack of experience, skill, and ability to manage my renovation, caused over 5 months of delays and tens of thousands of dollars in additional costs. And then halfway thru the project, right after Christmas break, Wendler Construction quit on me. After almost a year in construction, I am still finding mistakes made under Wendler Construction's management. I would not recommend them.
