Chad came by to clean up a few wiring mistakes I made. Nothing of biblical proportions. On one I created a short when I swapped a rocker switch for a dimmer. On the other I wanted to replace a two-switch rocker such that each circuit is on a separate dimmer. The house is old and the wiring janky; I could not figure out how to split it into two. Chad solved the first problem fairly quickly--I created a short when I inadvertently nicked the common wire. The other box took him a few to figure it out--again, janky wiring. Instead of simply fixing the problems Chad explained how I created the short and told me how to avoid doing so in the future. Once he figured out the janky wiring--too many extraneous wires--he not only cleaned it up but again explained what and how he resolved the issue. While he was here I also had him add an outlet near the ceiling for a wireless speaker, something I could probably do but hey, Chad is 20 years younger than me. I let him climb the ladder. In none of this did Chad make me feel like I committed an ID10T error. Oh. And Bjelde honored my military service with a 10% discount.

We've used this company on three different installs/repairs. The first was an install of a new Trane A/C unit on our primary residence. Although we had issues with the install everything was finished to our satisfaction and at a price we felt was fair and reasonable.
The second time we used them was for service on one of our rental properties. We were in a position of needing some one on short notice and they were able to respond in a timely manner. The unit was fixed and the bill was provided. No breakdown in labor or parts charges was provided and we felt the charges were excessive but we weren't in a position to shop it around and we paid it.
The third time we used them consisted of 5 different visits for the same issue. The first call in 12/2021 when the heat started intermittently failing at our primary residence. The Trane unit that they installed was only two years old and under warranty. We were charged 89.00 service call fee and no problem was identified because they couldn't get a fault code. Service tech showed me how to read the fault lights on the unit and said to call when we had a fault code.
The unit started failing again with the same problem in 11/2022. I went on the roof and video captured the fault lights per the prior technicians directions. We placed another service call and paid another 89.00 to be told we didn't have sufficient gas pressure and call SW Gas. Called SW gas and they checked pressure. Everything good on the gas side. Unit continued to fail.
Service call made and tech says everything is working and no problem found. Unit works for two days and fails again.
Service call made and tech says it's probably gas valve on unit. Gas valve is under warranty but labor isn't. They order gas valve, can't quote labor price. Heat still not fixed.
They return two days later and replace gas valve. We get a bill for an additional payment of $370.00 (We already paid the two $89.00 service fees) but they won't provide detail for what we're being charged. We had requested the same detail at the time they ordered the part but they wouldn't provide the breakdown on any of the labor charges but told us they would provide it in the final invoice. Tech would not give us a detail of the charges at the final invoice and we were told to call the office and were forced to pay the bill without the detail. They continued to push back and would not give us a detailed invoice showing the labor and warranty parts processing fees until we threatened to charge the bill back to American Express.
When we received the final detail of charges we realized we had been grossly overcharged with added fees. I believe that their business and billing practices are deceptive and probably in violation of their warranty services agreement with Trane, the manufacturer of our a/c unit. We will also be following up with Trane and provide them feedback about warranty work being done by Mason.
It took almost a year, five service calls, two service charges totaling $178 and an additional payment of $370.00 to fix our heat under warranty. We've never been opposed to paying a premium for services provided in a timely, efficient manner. We do not feel that the total of $548.00 paid in labor/service charges or the time it took met that criteria and we will no longer use them for service or replacement on any of our properties.
Potential customers of this contractor should use caution and be wary of how they do business.

We lost our main breaker, and air conditioning, yesterday. They arrived early this morning and diagnosed our problem very quickly. The also identified existing wiring problems and bad breakers in our main panel.
Two hours later, all the breakers were updated, the bad wiring was redone correctly, and the panel was relabeled.
The guys were personable and very professional. The price was fair and that's what I expect.
I will be calling them back to install a generator in the near future.

MK Electric does work under OneGuard Home Warranty. I had a nice sounding fellow call me from MK Electric to inquire about a service order that I had with OneGuard.
He called and we spoke for 30 seconds to one minute. He was certain that OneGuard had called him in error, and that they should have contacted a mechanical contractor as his company doesn't work on mechanical aspects of broken equipment, only electrical.
But in calling OneGuard, he led them to believe that he had diagnosed the issue. He hadn't. He'd only spoken to the homeowner briefly, and the coverage we had on this broken item was cancelled due to his call and the phony diagnosis he left with the insurance company.
I don't need headaches like this-- I'd find another electrical contractor if I were you. The contractor should be on the side of the end customer, supporting that person and their repair. I guess the big bucks they get from OneGuard put him into that corner and the sneaky way we were dealt with did not leave a positive impression.

This company was Fantastic, I called on Christmas Eve to come out to fix a breaker or find the problem as to why our water heater wasn't getting power. I talked to Rex (this was only after our Terrible Home Warranty company Landmark couldn't get anyone out here for 4 more days) Rex was helpful and told me that if he couldn't get someone out in a few hours he would come himself. Ethan came out, and texted me that he was on his way, he stayed until the issue was resolved on Christmas Eve. God Bless you Ethan and Rex and the rest of your team! We now have Hot water again and can enjoy having our kids here and Hot showers!

The service was good, but I now think the quality of the service is to get you to sign up for the we will service you house every year plan. Well, I moved for a 20 year old home into a brand new home that does not require any service. They called to service the old house, I asked if they could transfer the contract to our new home, wow, yea for $100. I will not use them again. Here is the response I got: First, I want to say Congratulations on the new home! We can absolutely transfer the membership to your new home next year, just so you know there is a transfer fee of $100. I can set myself a reminder to reach out to you this time next year to see if you are ready to schedule. If you do not want to transfer the membership to your new home, the new owners of your previous home can also have it transferred into their name for the same amount.
