Innovative Lighting & Electric, Inc is a full service lighting and electrical company, privately owned and operated in Scottsdale, Arizona, specializing in both indoor and outdoor lighting, landscape lighting, troubleshooting, installations, and repairs.
ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER
Chad was born and raised in Minnesota, where he graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth. He then moved to Scottsdale to play professional golf for a number of years before getting into the Holiday Lighting business in 1989. He achieved ownership of Custom Holiday Lights in October of 2000 and started Innovative Lighting & Design in 2005. As of January 2014, he acquired Four Star Electric of Gilbert, AZ and became specialized in all indoor electric install and service in addition to the already established, landscape and outdoor lighting. In June of 2014, we changed our name to Innovative Lighting & Electric to better serve our existing and future clientele.

As always, Innovative lighting delivered as promised. Leah in the office does an amazing job coordinating appointments with professional, timely and responsive communications. Dustin, our assigned electrican was also great; always on time and performed the work as requested. Scheduled appointments for necessary follow up work were also kept and on time. Rare in today's market. For these reasons; Innovative lighting remains our go to when we have electrical needs.

Unprofessional! We had scheduled an electric fix. Nobody showed up. I called to enquire but was told that the electrician is not available. This is basic courtesy expected of a service based business. Customer needs to know if you are not coming and specially if they are working around the company's availability. I am glad I cancelled.
I can't think of nicer, friendlier and more professional people than this company! They were awesome to work with from beginning to end, including great communication, and ease of scheduling! Leah on the phone was a pure pleasure to work with and Jake the technician was just terrific, and also super knowledgeable and patient ! I highly recommend Innovative Lighting without any hesitation for all your electrical needs!
We have used Innovative Lighting a couple of times and they will be my go to electrical guys going forward. Their technician, Dustin, made the call on both visits. First job was a fairly large job in my 150,000 foot warehouse. He estimated 4 days to complete the job but actually finished in 3. He first came and assessed the site, provided a quote, arranged for a scissor lift to reach 40 foot ceilings, ordered supplies and began work 2 days later. He was on time every day, worked steadily and even worked on Sunday to complete the job early. My second call was for a small repair job. Again, he was on time and made the repairs during the same visit. These guys know electrical and provide outstanding service at a reasonable price.
This is my second time working with Innovative Lighting & Electric and they remain fantastic to work with and provide high quality service. This project was installation of a 240 v/50 amp outlet in our garage to support charging an electric vehicle. What I really enjoy about working with this company is they are customer focused. Dave scoped out the work that was needed and recommended a proposal that met our needs while ensuring the best cosmetic approach. The outcome was great, and the customer mindset and extra effort will make this company my first choice every time for our lighting and electrical needs. Excellent company. All concerned did a great job. We had a whole house surge protector installed. Price was very fair and it took the electrician only 30 minutes to install. This is the only company I will use for electrical work on my house.

I found ILE after a long exhaustive look for an electrician that I felt was trustworthy. Walter was my technician. He was fantastic! He was knowledgeable and helpful. I told him what I wanted to do and he made recommendations. I purchased most of my lights and fans. He did pick a few items up for me. I gave him some creative license and he did not disappoint.
Expert installation. Fantastic work. Very clean. Pricing was very reasonable. He was very cooperative and was able to work around other contractors in my home (I was getting a ton of warranty work completed).
Trustworthy! I had to leave the house to care for my elderly mother and at other times to go to Lowe's. He was left alone at home with my puppy. I did not have any concerns leaving him alone.

A wonderful company that has the absolute best service and employees! Initially, I had Innovative Lighting/Electric install new recessed lighting. Due to their outstanding quality of work and professionalism, had them install new custom under cabinet LED lighting in the kitchen. This installation has made a dramatic difference. Everybody I worked with and spoke to at Innovative Lighting provided exceptional customer service! A great company for lighting and electrical service - highly recommend them.
I contacted Innovative Lighting & Electric to run a new 220V circuit to the kitchen island. I was prepared for an ugly project requiring substantial demolition. Walter was a wizard -- together with my contractor, they managed to fish the wire through the existing gas supply line (no longer used). Saved me thousands. Walter was professional and very personable. ILE's pricing was very affordable and they stood by their estimates. I will be using them for all my electrical work going forward.

I just bought my home, and I needed to have some electrical work done. I found Innovative Lighting through Angie's List. I chose them because they had the most reviews and they were all As. Walt was the technician assigned to assess and quote the job. He was very friendly and knew his stuff. He was pleasant at every interaction, and he did everything we needed PLUS. The plus part was the very human gesture of gifting us some wipes and toilet paper for an elderly neighbor lady who was in need. On top of getting everything we wanted at a good price and expertly done, they also have Walter. I will use them (him, specifically) for all my electrical needs into the future.
This is a great company. Our landscape lighting was installed years ago and We had some problems with some fixtures shorting out after the many rain storms we had this winter. The electrician, Patrick, took care of it all. Very courteous too!
Just finished using Innovative lighting to update my outdoor lighting. Jake came on site, well prepared, had good ideas and did a great job of fixing numerous problems. My experience with Jake, booking the appointment and follow up have all been very, very good.

We needed our smoke detectors replaced and called Innovative to see if they could take care of for us. Aubree, who scheduled our appointment, was very professional, courteous and quoted a fair price for the job. I recently installed patio and landscape lighting at our home and collaborated with Innovative L & E on the project; the entire process was exceptional! Each step of the project (original visit, receiving a quote, installation and payment) was very professional and simple. The team who completed the installation was on time, efficient and very helpful in providing for me a few options on how best to coordinate the lighting.

Innovative Lighting installed our outdoor lighting a few years ago and did a great job, they even came by in the evening to adjust lights to ensure they were giving off the desired effect which I thought was great.
Recently I had to replace a couple of fixtures that were damaged so I called Aubree and sent her what information I could read off the damaged units and she suggested sending some pictures to save me a trip from bringing them down to match up. She ordered the lights and I was to pick them up the next time I came to town. When I went to replace one of the lights the fixture was slightly different. I called Aubree and she apologized then figured out the problem and knowing I had limited time down here she offered to run out that day to go pick the light up from one of the suppliers. I picked
up the light the next day and it was no problem and a perfect match.
Aubree was also able to make suggestions for the proper bulb for the fixture.
I am a business owner in the service industry and know great customer service when I see it and Aubree is a classic example somebody who provides excellent customer service!

Chad spent so much time with us and helped us design a beautiful design for our lighting features. Juan and his crew were so pleasant and friendly during the installation. The finished product was better than we could have hoped for and we just love our outdoor paradise. The genuine desire on their part to make sure we were completely satisfied was quite impressive and very much appreciated.

Landscape lighting was a large financial investment for us and we wanted to make sure that we had a company that was going to do it right. After researching and interviewing 4 or 5 companies we decided to go with Innovative lighting. From the beginning they were open to answering my on-going questions, where others were not.
Chad, the owner of Innovative Lighting, did a fantastic job for us. What was even more amazing was their follow through. We had an initial issue with the brass light fixtures, we felt the light that was being projected seemed dull and not as bright as we wanted. Chad came out at night and completely agreed. He called the manufacturer and explained the situation and said you need to fix this. Only, because of Chad's persistence, the manufacturer finally agreed to paint the interior of the brass fixture white, leaving the natural brass exterior. It was a profound difference, giving us the look we expected with our outdoor lighting. We could not believe how Innovative lighting went above and beyond to meet our expectations. We highly recommend this company. Honest people, who do the right thing!
