Since the age of 13, Owner Steve Mason wanted to become a contractor. In 1993, that vision became a reality and Mason Mechanical was on its way to greatness. Since the age of 13, Owner Steve Mason wanted to become a contractor. After completing trade school and working in the HVAC trade, Steve and Deanna Mason began putting their vision into action; create a service oriented business that provides quality AC, plumbing and electrical products and a superior customer experience.  In 1993, that vision became a reality and Mason Mechanical was on its way to greatness.

Wow, to say I feel beyond blessed to have found this company is an understatement.

The short and sweet: use them! Great value, EXTREMELY helpful, kind techs who know what they are doing and very respectful of your home (they even wore booties to come in!)

The long and detailed:  I have an older unit thats attached to a chiller and because of this 90% of Hvac companies wouldn't even come out! Its my heater and my unit is inside my home, and still got turned down left and right.

Finally found out about Mason and of course I go to Yelp to investigate and seeing anything above 4 stars I would have jumped with joy and knowing they have even more.. they are now on my speed dial.

While some companies were already telling me that it would be a week before someone could come out, Mason was able to get someone later that day.

Thank you Sam for coming to the rescue, checking things out and even coming back when I had another issue.. couldn't replicate, but they were sure to let me know they were there for me.

Some back story.. my unit has had some issues and its been difficult to figure out, I should have seen the red flags buying the place when my inspector saw sparing on the unit and the original person fixing it was a friend of the owners.. oh well, novice home buyer here.

Ryan from corporate offered to bring a senior tech to check things out, but since I couldn't get the same issue to happen, I said let's just wait..

Now here comes Jessica to the rescue, its been awhile now and boom power goes out, breaker flipping won't work and again they are here to help! I was messaging them before 8am and already have a service call scheduled.

I am literally in tears out of gratitude for working with me and I'm confident they will be able to fix everything.

They even offer payment options and with a wedding coming up, I need it!

Will update once we figure things out, but if you've read this far.. they truly care about helping their customers and they double and triple check things.. even wait for a senior hvac/electrician to give feedback before leaving a job if they are not 100% sure..

We've used this company on three different installs/repairs. The first was an install of a new Trane A/C unit on our primary residence. Although we had issues with the install everything was finished to our satisfaction and at a price we felt was fair and reasonable.

The second time we used them was for service on one of our rental properties. We were in a position of needing some one on short notice and they were able to respond in a timely manner. The unit was fixed and the bill was provided. No breakdown in labor or parts charges was provided and we  felt the charges were excessive but we weren't in a position to shop it around and we paid it.

The third time we used them consisted of 5 different visits for the same issue. The first call in 12/2021 when the heat started intermittently failing at our primary residence. The Trane unit that they installed was only two years old and under warranty. We were charged 89.00 service call fee and no problem was identified because they couldn't get a fault code. Service tech showed me how to read the fault lights on the unit and said to call when we had a fault code.

The unit started failing again with the same problem in 11/2022. I went on the roof and video captured the fault lights per the prior technicians directions. We placed another service call and paid another 89.00 to be told we didn't have sufficient gas pressure and call SW Gas. Called SW gas and they checked pressure. Everything good on the gas side. Unit continued to fail.

Service call made and tech says everything is working and no problem found. Unit works for two days and fails again.

Service call made and tech says it's probably gas valve on unit. Gas valve is under warranty but labor isn't. They order gas valve, can't quote labor price. Heat still not fixed.

They return two days later and replace gas valve. We get a bill for an additional payment of $370.00 (We already paid the two $89.00 service fees) but they won't provide detail for what we're being charged. We had requested the same detail at the time they ordered the part but they wouldn't provide the breakdown on any of the labor charges but told us they would provide it in the final invoice. Tech would not give us a detail of the charges at the final invoice and we were told to call the office and were forced to pay the bill without the detail. They continued to push back and would not give us a detailed invoice showing the labor and warranty parts processing fees until we threatened to charge the bill back to American Express.

When we received the final detail of charges we realized we had been grossly overcharged with added fees. I believe that their business and billing practices are deceptive and probably in violation of their warranty services agreement with Trane, the manufacturer of our a/c unit. We will also be following up with Trane and provide them feedback about warranty work being done by Mason.

It took almost a year, five service calls, two service charges totaling $178 and an additional payment of $370.00 to fix our heat under warranty. We've never been opposed to paying a premium for services provided in a timely, efficient manner.  We do not feel that the total of $548.00 paid in labor/service charges or the time it took met that criteria and we will no longer use them for service or replacement on any of our properties.

Potential customers of this contractor should use caution and be wary of how they do business.

We called Mason Pro out to inspect our home due to aluminum wire questions from our insurance company. The technician Found some issues with our breakers and was able to fix it fast for what seem to be a reasonable price. The service technician was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. We would recommend them for all of your electrical needs.

We just had Mason Pro Services install a new heating/air conditioning system.Challen was the connsultant and he explained everything that would be done after looking at our old system. The installers of Laz, Jesse, Dawson and Ray were great. They were very neat during the install and did a great job cleaning up afterwards. Everyone was very friendly and polite. When they came back to check on the system after it was installed Challen arrived while Deion and the other young man was here to make sure the install was complete and that everything was working properly. You won't be disappointed with their great customer service.

We had a minor electrical problem at our house in contact with Mason pro services. The person answered the phone was professional and courteous. They sent a tech out the same day and they resolved the problem without any issue.  I would definitely use them again!

Masons was my second call and I am glad they were able to respond so quickly.   We had a leak in our air handler which collapsed part of our ceiling.   Jim was prompt and courteous and he quickly diagnosed and fixed our problem.   He went above and beyond in helping me cover the hole which needs drywall repair.  I also appreciated that although we have an older unit which is probably on one of its last lives, he did not try and oversell me.  Will use them again for sure.

Mike karate came out to my house to fix an electrical issue. He was so professional and polite from the moment I opened the door. He explained what he was going to do, what was happening as he was trouble shooting, what he found the issue was and how he could fix it for me. He was quick, efficient and so knowledgeable. I 100% feel like I found an honest, genuine and trustworthy electrician. And after he fixed everything, he cleaned up after himself! Are you kidding? No one does that. Pulled out his own rag and wiped everything off he touched in my house. I will forever use Mason pro services for ALL of my home services!

Amazing from start to finish and 5 stars for each time that we've used them! We HIGHLY recommend them!

Challen was phenomenal throughout our entire process of getting a new AC unit, I love that there's no hard sell and they were understanding of our situation. Challen worked hard to get us the best deal and financing for us to make sure we didn't have a broken down AC unit during the hottest summer in Arizona. My husband is pretty particular and knows what he wants done and how he wants the job completed - Challen was more than patient in answering all of our questions as well as making sure the work that was completed was to our satisfaction. My husband found a few things after install that he wasn't entirely pleased about and they were back the next week with quality assurance team and making sure everything was great. We couldn't be happier with our new AC unit, Challen and choosing Mason Mechanical. We already referred them to a few friends!

Before we got our new AC unit we had Mason Mechanical coming out yearly since 2017 to make sure our unit was running correctly as it was awfully old and we never felt pressured to buy a new one. I feel like when you're hiring someone to come into your home (or on your roof) it's nice to know that they're giving you a good, honest opinion! We also found them comparable to other AC companies.

Also, all staff took appropriate COVID-19 precautions in our house!

I am writing this review to praise Mason Pro Services and their Elite Employee Team from Customer Service, Billing, Comfort Consultant to AC/Heat Pump Install Techs and Repair Techs.  They were all instrumental in me purchasing a new 3.5 Lennox Heat Pump, getting my 2.0 Heat Pump repaired and both on a Maintenance Contract ensuring future repair or replacement if needed.  

I interviewed several representatives from various well named, local companies, before making my decision and selection of Mason Pro Services.   Man years ago I remember people talking about Mason Pro Services.  These individuals stated that Mason Pro Services were a company of high ethical standards.

Since I am on a limited income, I wrote down numerous questions prior the comfort consultants coming so that I may be well informed to make the best choice available for quality, energy efficiency, brand reputation, duct ventilation, brand warranties, maintenance, possible roof repair, installation costs and financing available.  

Hands down, there was no comparison, Mason Pro Services lived up to their reputation.  It was a, Win Win in every area for me!  Challen, was the perfect , Comfort Consultant, who met with me.  He answered every question prior me even asking him the ones I had pre-written. No pressure, told me to think about things and review the comparison list he emailed me.  He gave me his business card and said, Call me anytime if you have any questions or concerns.  Well, that I did, several times.  He was just as professional, kind, understanding, patient, and respectful answering the new questions.  Challen, always asked, Do you have any other questions or concerns that I may address?  If you can think of anything don't hesitate to call or email me. One other thing I need to mention.  I have a flat and required roof repair work once old equipment was removed and the new heat pump package was installed to maintain the roof structural integrity.  This was also a concern for me.    

Here it was June 2nd, our heat pump was broke and it was about 100 degrees on that side of the house.  I signed the papers on Monday, June 6th.   Challen, referred me to an exceptional company who he provided written communication including pictures of required work (with my prior approval). I contracted with to do the job.  This was a huge help to me minimizing my anxiety level.  Also, the, Roofing Consultant, stated, I have had a long standing relationship with Mason Pro Services.  The company gave me a discount and 5 year roof work warranty.  The new Lennox Unit was installed on Thursday June 9th.  During the install, Challen came out, checked things, conversed with Installers and myself making sure everything was going according to plan and time frame discussed.   The Installers were great.  They answered my questions, removed the old unit, the old evap cooler and brackets that were in existence from the previous 21 year unit and did an excellent job installing new unit.  How does a team of men install a heat pump pkg and be as quiet as a mouse?  I don't know how they did it but they did.  To say the least, when they turned on the AC, I was doing the happy dance.  It didn't take long for that side of house to get at 80 degrees.

The next day I called Mason Pro because I noticed something didn't seem right.  They responded immediately and sent Dylan out.  He checked the unit on the roof and the thermostat.  He was definitely a highly skilled professional, quickly diagnosing the problem and resolving it.  I was having a difficult day and I remember making a comment to him about something.  He smiled, graciously responded in a gentle manner,  positive attitude and encouraging word.  What phenomenal people skills!  If all Employers had Employees like this.  It was a learning lesson for me.  The following week we had our one week inspection.  We were blessed with Dylan again and everything was working marvelously!  

Then, I made arrangements for Mason Pro to return to service our smaller and older heat pump pkg.  Ryan came out, inspected it, wrote up the needed repairs and quote.  He took the time needed to explain each of the concerns and its priority of being fixed.  Since it was a 21 year old unit I understood the urgency.  I was grateful the heat pump still had some life left in it and didn't need immediate replacement.  Mason Pro scheduled Ryan to return within a couple days to complete the annotated list of repairs.  He was  professional, respectful, kind, good natured, highly skilled & trained with a  great attitude and communication skills.  Ryan was on that hot roof for hours, did an excellent job, and still had great humor and professionalism!!  I couldn't believe the difference his expertise made.  

Mason Pro Services made a Difference for me and my family.  They excelled my expectations and they are the only HVAC Company I will use from now on!!

Ive used them one time for a check up. Tech said I needed all kinds of work. I got a another opinion the tech took pictures said I needed a third of the work. I didn't share Masons bid with him. Do not trust this company.

In the hottest part of July 2019 we replaced our failing 5-ton, package heat pump, 21 yo TRANE unit with another TRANE from Mason Mechanical. Our home is a single-story ranch 2,100 SF block home in Tempe, AZ with a flat roof.  

We looked at five (5) HVAC vendors, then did a runoff among the 2 best in our opinion. Selected Mason Mechanical of Mesa.  Absolutely super experience!  Only surprise was how cold our home became after install and how much our SRP Electric utility bill dropped subsequently in July and August.  Had no idea our home could get this cold without investing in several other home improvements.

Experience:  Hugely impressed with Mason Mechanical's NATE certified HVAC technicians, and courteous customer service. Appreciated their non-salesy, down to earth communication style. Recommend you ask for Joe Calo or another member of his team at Mason Mechanical.   Every member of their team treated every member of our family with respect in every interaction.

Now it is September and I've seen two (2) much smaller utility bills in a row in spite of us selecting a much colder temperature on our new thermostat. We now find ourselves talking about turning up the temperature so we don't get too cold. I didn't imagine that would ever happen in Arizona - especially August. The whole AC unit keeps us cooler, runs QUIETER, and we are far happier .

My air broke down on Aug 30th. My son called another Ac repair service to come out and when they did it was not good news. They were not truthful and insisted I needed a whole new unit and that the repairs would be in the thousands of dollars if I didn't. I called Mason Pro services for a second opinion and they came out within a couple hours. A service man and consultant came and they told me it could be repaired and aslo gave me the option to replace it if I wished. They were honest and not just trying to sell me a new unit. They also told me the last repairman had not been honest about the age of the ac unit it was actually 10 years newer than what he stated it was. I asked them to please order the parts and repair it. They did and it was fixed as soon as the parts came and it was no where near the cost the other place quoted. I appreciated their honesty and sense of urgency and I would recommend this company any time.

I've used Mason Mechanical twice and have had issues both times. The first time I was shorted a box of filters that was supposed to come with a PM service.  The second time I felt pressured to replace my entire (admittedly older) AC system when I had only lost an outdoor motor and fan.  Mason wanted two weeks and an extra $500 to have a discontinued OEM fan custom made, even though fans with the same specifications were available from another manufacturer.   Another company was able to make the repair in one day at lower cost.

Willus came out and serviced the units on the office complex.  He was there early and complete maintenance service on all the units.  I appreciated how he talked with me at the end to give me feedback and said he would send a report with recommended repairs and input on what he found while checking the units.  I appreciated him talking with me.

I am writing this review based on a recent install of a new air conditioner for my home.  I was replacing a 19 year old unit which was still working decently, but was likely nearing the end of it's life span and was certainly not giving me much efficiency.
I took my time looking around for a good company and took 8 separate estimates over a couple weeks.  This proved to be a learning experience in addition to getting a dollar amount quoted for the job.  The one main takeaway from this was that most air conditioner units will do what they are supposed do, but it comes down to the quality of the install that makes a huge difference.

Going into this process, I was set on trying to use a local company that was not one of the big corporate names you see all over the valley, and while I was taking my last estimate, the consultant offered a very handy tip.  He told me that regardless of who I hired, I should check SRP's website for approved contractors for HVAC.  After doing that, only 2 of the 8 companies I took estimates from appeared on that list, Mason Mechanical being one of them.  
The comfort consultant from Mason Mechanical, Joe Calo, was very thorough in assessing my home and my HVAC needs and left me with confidence that the install job would be done right.  He gave me estimates on two different units, at different price points, that would be suitable options based on the size of my home and needs.  I chose the Trane XR-16 model.
On the day of installation, a 3-man crew came and got right to work and worked hard for half the day getting the new system put in.  

I am pleased with my choices, both in the company I chose to do the work, and the actual unit, itself.  Going forward, I will use Mason Mechanical for maintenance on the unit, as well as any other jobs around my house that fall within their areas of expertise.

My overall satisfaction is strong enough that I would recommend Mason Mechanical to anyone with HVAC service and/or installation needs.

We had our AC installed in November and I waited to post a review since we really didn't get to use it.
I am so HAPPY we found Mason!!!

I probably had 10 companies come out for a proposal... half of them never even went into my attic to look at my unit or duct work. Half of them were more interested in selling me over sized units for my house or overpriced maintenance plans!
Every company that came out asked one particular question- what room do you have the biggest complaint about? My master room is always hot in the summer. Everyone seemed to think by just adding a newer unit would fix that issue or my response was never addressed.

Mason was the ONLY company that acknowledged my answer and FIXED the issue. On the first visit, they found that my duct work was the incorrect size. Challen suggested we add a return as well and we should fix the duct work leading the master room. What a difference!!! It is now the coldest room in the house which and I couldn't be happier!

The employees were great and did a quality job! Communication was amazing and Challen answered every little question I had.

We had a problem with our heat pump (heat and A/C).  They said repairing the unit was not cost effective and that I should replace the unit, so I did.  At multiple times, I told them I would prefer to keep my new Nest thermostat instead of buying a new one, and they kept telling me that it was not good enough for the unit I was buying.  

After they were done and the final payment was made, the same person from Mason Mechanical said I could always replace the new thermostat with a Nest if it was 3rd generation.  I pointed out that that is exactly what I already had.  The man from MM said he thought it was older.  The old thermostat had been right there on the wall.  There is no excuse for his not checking it out, unless it was to increase the sale.  So, either he was incompetent or dishonest.  Either way, I would advise against using this company.

Edit:  After this review was posted, Mason Mechanical contacted me and resolved the issue -- they put back my old thermostat and refunded me the cost of the one they installed.

We had them out to fix slow draining sinks in our master bathroom, everything was great until a couple of weeks later when we noticed water was leaking from the U-bend/trap under the sink. I called them and although they were responsive and came out the next day to fix the issue I now have damaged cabinets I have to live with. All of this because they didn't replace a ten cent part when they did the work the first time.

I called Mason Mechanical to have my AC serviced. Our technician showed up right on time and was very efficient. We mentioned that we had a leaky hose bib in the backyard, he said he wasn't able to fix that but would have a tech come out and have it serviced. Cool, so I figured I'd call and schedule for a later date... nope! They had someone come out same day :) The technician who came and fixed the bib was also very nice to our shy dog. We are very satisfied with the work performed and will recommend to our friends and family :)

Call Mason Mechanical to replace my main water line.  They not only replaced my line but also went above and beyond to take care of a couple of things that they saw were problems at no extra charge.  They replace my water softener drain line and replaced two vacuum hose bibbs. I will definitely be using and recommending Mason Mechanical.  Thank you to David Johnson, Mike Clifford and the trainee they had with them( I didn't get his name).  All three were very professional and they answered any questions I had.  They explained everything to me that they did on the job.

Technician was personable, but basically quoted me for several services that I did not need. Stated the furnace blower motor lost its oil, needed replacement and the capacitor also needed to be replaced. He also quoted me for an AC drain pan which I didn't necessarily need. Other items were added to the quote as well.. I then decided to call another HVAC company, the furnace was checked and found no abnormal oil leaks or other major issues and just made some simple adjustments and didn't try to charge/quote me for services I didn't need! The new HVAC technician made some simple adjustments and all is good now!  Mason Mechanical quoted me over $1000...  draw your own conclusions but I definitely will not be dealing with Mason Mechanical again!

We highly recommend Mason Mechanical! Joe came out to give us an estimate for a new unit and honestly from start to finish it was seamless. He gave us three different price points for three different units and the proposals were completely professional. The scheduled install was right on time, the guys that came out were also very professional and did a great job! After the install about a week later they came back out to make sure everything was working great and to give me all the warranty information and tax documents that I would need for a tax credit. I had contacted three other companies to get estimates and Mason Mechanical far exceeded the professionalism and proposals. They seemed like the most knowledgeable company and the only company to offer me choices on a unit with different price points. When I need another unit or need a tune up they are for sure the ones I will be calling! Thank you!

This is the second AC we have purchased from Mason! We had an efficient unit the first time, that lasted, with no problems, for nearly 20 years! We just purchased our second unit, and it works like a charm! I can't say enough about this company! They are capable, fast, honest, and reliable! The first contact was with consultant, Ish Kissinger. He laid out all of our options, answered all our questions, and was friendly and super helpful! The installers were fast, friendly, and took pictures of the unit, on the roof, when they were finished with the installation, so that we could see what was done. I called a company called Peterson Air to fix my ac unit on July 2. Don't ever do this. The tech failed to fix it the first visit and then came out and said the compressor was bad.  I realized he was just guessing what the problem was. So I called Mason and they came out and found 3 different problems. They had to order parts and couldn't get them until late on July 3 but they returned on a very hot 4th of July and fixed my ac. It's running fine now. Never got a refund from the other company so I wasted $289. Won't make that mistake again. Calling Mason from now on.

Jim E from Mason Mechanical has come out to my house for regular maintenance calls three times now. He is knowledgeable and explains things in ways I can understand easily. He gives me advice to save money and offers to keep an eye on small things instead of just replacing expensive parts right off the bat.

Requested quotes from several companies to replace our aging units, Joe was on time, called 30 minutes out, went over everything and answered all questions, even asked if there were any other questions before leaving. Wore mask, gloves and had shoe covers, very professional. No decision made yet we're still reviewing quotes, we have them narrowed from five to two. Thanks for taking the time.

We just had both ac units replaced by Mason Mechanical, and couldn't be more happy with their stellar service. Joe was great in getting us set up timely and providing us all the info needed to select the best system for our needs; the install crew was awesome - they came on time as scheduled, and were courteous and friendly; Dion was wonderful in walking us through the new system. I have no idea how this place has any good reviews. I rented a commercial space and my property manager only uses Mason. When I rented the place the AC units would turn on but hardly cool. They came to do a check up and I explained to them if I turn on both units it takes all day to get to 85 degrees. They went up on the roof for an hour and came back saying they have everything working perfectly now but to let the units run over night to cool off the walls and ceilings so that the space can get acclimated to being cooled off again. I left the units on for 3 days. It never gets below 85 degrees. I put in a work order with the property manager and they sent the company out again. This time they changed the filters (something I could have done in 5 mins). The kid tells me again ok sir this should get you cooled off now. I left the units on overnight and came back the next day and it was still 85 degrees. The flooring company came in to put about 500 sq ft of flooring in. They complained the whole time. They couldn't believe how hot it was. They said they do all the warehouses for this particular owner and they had never did a floor in a warehouse that was so hot. I felt bad for these guys because they looked miserable sweating all over their work trying to put the floors in. Maintenance came by and I explained to him that it was too hot. Maintenance agreed and told me to go online and request a work order. I did this again. Masons called and set an appointment. It was 1 to 3pm on Friday. Friday rolls around and at 3:30pm a lady calls to tell me that the guy is running late and it will be closer to 5pm before he will arrive. The guy finally shows up at 5:30pm. He comes in and I have the thermostats set on 77. The building is 81 degrees. He looks at me like I am crazy and asks well how cold do you want it in here?. Wtf! I wanted to snatch him up and throw him out on the freeway. Instead I said I want it to cool off like a normal AC unit should. I then reminded him that the sun was on the other side of the building now and that it will get as low as 81 but tomorrow when the sun is on this side it will only get between 85 and 89. This turkey looks at me and says well this is Arizona so I don't know what you expect but that is probably as cool as you will get it. I told him I am calling B.S. on that because the building I just moved from cools off faster and colder with more windows and direct sunlight beaming on the unit. So... This guy goes and changes the filters. I say to him dude you guys just changed them a week ago. He says in Arizona it is recommended that you change your filters once a week. Wtf! These guys will say anything! After this he climbs up on the roof and is up there about 20 mins. He comes down and says he turned the fan speed up on one of the units because it was turned on low. He says that should do the trick. He turns to look at the thermostat and its getting hotter!!!!! It climbs 2 degress in about 1 min. This dude I swear to God... He looks at me and says the thermostat is climbing because he was standing by the thermostat and giving off body heat. No lie! He really said this to me. His body heat made the building go from 81 to 83!!!! As he is sitting here giving me excuse after excuse he tells me that he keeps his apartment set to 85 degrees and that feels cool to him. I tell him we're 2 different people and I am not ok with 85. Then he proceeds to tell me about how he keeps his windows open when he gets home and it gets up to 89 in his apartment and it still feels good but that it starts to feel muggy around 95. What a bunch of bull! People like this shouldn't be allowed to walk around and make the earth a dumber place. I tell him I don't care what his house or apartment temp is that my units aren't working properly and they need to be fixed! He tells me he will call management and get authorization to perform and air flow test. Here it is Tuesday and I have had this AC units running 24/7 for 3 weeks just to enjoy 85 degrees in the day time, I called the property manager today to ask when the AC company would be coming back to fix the AC. She tells me she has never heard from them but that now that she is aware she will reach out to them. So the guy even lied to me about getting authorization to perform the air flow test. Wow! Horrible company and worse techs (I have worked with 3 different ones). If I was the property management company I would go with a different AC company. My bill is going to be a thousand bux thanks to these liars!

I was just delighted with Dion B and Mesa Mechanical - what a breath of fresh air! I had issues with a heat pump that would really randomly hesitate, and another (very good) company could not identify the problem, after two visits.  Dion showed up and listened (carefully) to what I said, and within a half an hour, found out that my fan capacitor was at zero and it was a pretty affordable fix.  Best of all, a problem that had lingered for a month was quickly, easily solved, and I didn't feel taken advantage of, since Dion explained that they don't work on commission, so there's no need to oversell anything, just fix problems.  WOW!  This is like a dream HVAC company...exactly the kind I've been searching for in the Valley for years. THX!

Called Mason Mechanical two days ago after hours.  Kirt showed up within an hour, found a faulty fan condenser motor, and replaced it.  He stayed for a couple of more hours to do his due diligence.  He left at 10:30 at night, putting in more time than I expected.

Unfortunately, I had to call again the next day since the unit was still not performing optimally.  Troyer came to take a look and asked us to defrost the unit overnight so he could send out a co-worker in the morning to look at the unit.  I was not charged for this visit.

Kirt came back this morning and diagnosed an intermittent short circuit, not a simple feat.  He corrected the issue and stayed long enough to ensure that the fix was solid.  Unfortunately, we had more back luck and the unit stopped working a few hours later.  I called again and Kirt came back for the third time in two days.  As before, he arrived very promptly.  He quickly diagnosed the problem as a faulty fuse, another strange root cause given the circumstances.  We were not charged for this visit.  All the while, Kirt was very friendly and joked with us about our seemingly cursed AC unit upon completing the repairs.

The unit is now working fine.  As we have a small child, we are greatly appreciative.  We hope not to need Mason Mechanical anytime soon, but we won't hesitate to call on them or recommend them to someone else.

Challen gave us a complete package of all the available Trane air conditioners.

After extensive measurements of our rooms,
He determined that our present 5 ton HVAC
was too large.
 
It was not long that with his knowledge
of the units and most complete presentation,
we confidently chose the 2 stage 16 seer
variable speed 4 ton unit.

We are extremely satisfied with the unit
and applaud Mason Mechanical for hiring
professionals such as Challen.

Great experience. I called around 11am and Jim was at my house before 2pm. Irma, their dispatcher, kept me apprised of when to expect him. Jim was professional, did a thorough check, let us know everything that was causing the issue and had it all fixed quickly. I will definitely use Mason Mech from now on.

100% Honesty is what we got.  That is hard to find in this industry.  Showed up as agreed and was very thorough with his inspection.  Called George Brazil a year ago and got scammed by a bunch of con artists.  I learned my lesson from the George Brazil family of thieves. I will be using Mason Mechanical on a regular basis.

These guys installed my unit on my previous home so they were my first call to replace my elderly unit in my new place. They are very dependable and always on time. They are very neat and organized. Jim E came out on a Saturday after our a/c unit stopped blowing cold air overnight. It took just a few minutes to diagnose the problem, amd just a few more to get it fixed. We're back up and running about two and a half hours from when I made the call to the Mason Mechanical office. Since the service technicians at Mason are not commission based, I know i wasn't sold anything I don't need. I've trusted this business for a few years now and wouldn't call anyone else.

A few weeks ago, I was receiving quotes to have my AC unit replaced due to the hail storm we had back in October. I had few companies come out but no one and I mean no one was as thorough as Dale with Mason Mechanical was. He spent 90 mins going over everything including climbing in the attic to check things out. He explained the differences between different units as well as what he and his team could do, which included taking out my furnace and installing a new ac/heat unit, pricing. etc.

Fast forward 3 weeks later and I was able to get the appt set up to have my unit installed. Crystal set up everything for me  and she was fabulous, especially since I had to cancel the first time around due to my work schedule. (Thank you for your patience Crystal!!) Mike, the tech who was in charge of installing the new system called me promptly at 7am to let me know he was on his way and would be at my house within 30 mins. Fast forward 10 hours later and my new unit is installed. He explained everything to me including how to work my new programmable thermostat, made sure everything was in working order, sealed off the area in my now new closet (where the furnace was), made sure everything was cleaned up, and was just all around great. I am very happy that it was nice mild day here today because I don't know how they can do this in the summer.

Suddenly last Saturday on a day when it was 109 outside, I came home at 3:00pm to discover my Trane AC unit had stopped working. Yikes! Thanks to Mason Mechanical and their tech, Jorge, they returned my call within an hour and arrived 1 hour after that. Within 90 minutes the AC unit was back up running, whew!

This was the first time in 15 years that my AC unit stopped working. I didn't think twice who to call though: Mason Mechanical has kept my 26 year old Trane unit running beautifully since I bought my home in 2001. No, it isn't cheap to get an emergency response on a Saturday afternoon on a sweltering July day ... that isn't the priority under those circumstances. No, I put my trust in them years ago to keep the unit running well and efficiently through long summers and they've never disappointed.

I had Mason Mechanical put in my new AC unit because they partner with Lowes.  They were great on the installation, their crews are nice and professional yet friendly.  Unfortunately my new unit was making a whine that was driving us crazy.  They came back out the next day after installation to try and quiet it down, no one was sure why it was making that whine.  They have been out multiple times to address this issue, they finally got it to be quieter but I had to make some concessions on the filter I could use.  They didn't think that should be the final answer and so they continue to work to resolve the issue in the best possible manner.  I've had the installation manager out and even the owner of the company has come out to make sure my unit works they way it should.  They could have very easily told me to just live with it, but they haven't and they continue to make the time and effort to make my unit work the way it should.  I really appreciate their commitment to doing the job right and making sure I'm happy with my investment.  I would definitely recommend them if you are looking to have any work done that they do!

As of 9/11/2017 they have continued to work toward a solution to fix the problem.  They have reached a solution that is more than fair to me.  They have been nothing but kind and professional and have never once made me feel bad about all of the effort they have put into finding a solution.  I am very grateful for their commitment to customer service and excellence.  It's been a long time since I have had the good fortune to work with a company that has the values Mason Mechanical does.  I highly recommend them!

I recently had Mason Mechanical install 2 new HVAC systems in my home. From sales to install and follow up the team was great. All staff were knowledgeable, friendly and went out of their way to explain what they were doing and how the system worked. All members (on all visits) showed up exactly on time and always kept a clean work space as well.  Out of the seven companies I looked at I am glad I chose Mason Mechanical!

If we could give more stars we would, since this company EXCEEDED our highest expectations.  From the first contact with the office through the final inspection, each expert team member of Mason Mechanical performed their piece with skill and efficiency; and they were all... really nice!

We are very thrifty retirees and money IS an issue.  We read as much as we could online about the different brands and the different installing companies  and decided to get three bids: Goodman, Carrier and Trane.  In the end we went with Mason Mechanical and Trane which was the higher bid by just under $500.   For the extra money we got:
1.  A higher seer (which equates to better effeciency)-16 seer from Trane as opposed to a 14 seer from both Goodman and Carrier.  This resulted in a rebate from  SRP (SRP did not offer a rebate for a 14 seer) that was factored into the 16 seer bid for a Trane.  Mason Mechanical took care of all the paperwork and subtracted the rebate amount from the bid.
2.  A longer service warranty from Mason Mechanical.
3.  A precision team that took the time to offer options and explained step by step what would happen.  They hauled away the old equipment and left no mess.

Thank you, Challen, Johnny, Ron, Brett and Dion.  These young men were awesome!  (Challen was our first face to face contact with the company and he spent so much time getting to know us and our needs that if we had his address we'd probably add him to our Christmas list!)

I shopped around, I got several quotes, but the honesty and the total lack of sales pitch for a new a/c unit is what is most appreciated. These guys are the best.  If you are looking for advice or a problem solved, have them come out and tell you all about the problems and solutions for your a/c or heater.  Ask for Brett.  We really enjoyed working with him.  He is very knowledgeable and down to earth.  He sealed our ducts with Aeroseal.  Awesome job!  Get your ducts sealed and you won't have to keep cleaning them.  They are bringing in dust and insulation from your attic.  They can solve that problem, especially if you have asthma or allergies.  You won't be disappointed with this business.

Absolutely amazing company to work with. We had interactions with 7-8 different people in Mason Mechanical and everyone was great. Same-day service (!) and the technician was knowledgeable and gave us a very reasonable price on fixing the overflow switch and capacitor. He was done in just under an hour and a half. Nothing to complain about - highly recommended and we'd call them again if anything goes wrong!

We recently called Mason Mechanical concerning Heating Issues in a Rental House. We were offered a Quote for Furnace Replacement BUT it was never mentioned that we could have Switched our Roof Top A/C Unit WITH a Built-in Heater. The Heater (Furnace) is now Inside the House Closet. If we had been made aware that we could have had the Heater Inside the /C Unit on the Roof, we probably would have gone that Route. Now we will need to Replace the A/C Separately. I have not had a chance to follow-up with the Tenant to see if the Heater/Furnace is working Satisfactorily. Mason Mechanical called me to say they was going to Check to make a follow up Inspection to insure it was Functioning  properly but I have NOT heard from them. The Quote was over the phone and they DID NOT mention what size Furnace would be Installed OR even if it would be Sufficient for the House Size. I later found out that they  Installed a 60,000 BTU Furnace. I went to the House during the Installation and was told that this Unit SHOULD Heat the House. I don't live at the House BUT I am the Owner and since I am the Purse Strings, I would like to know what my Money is being Spent for. I will be needing a New A/C Unit at this House and maybe a couple of others BUT you can bet that I WILL closely Scrutinize the next Quote more Closely. I have a Check in the Mail for the Total Amount of Installation. Just called the Tenant and as of Today, there has not been a Follow-up Inspection. If I ran a Business like that and had the same Complacency practices, I would probably NOT be in Business for very long. Selling and Installing and getting Paid and not worry about if the Installation was good or bad, is no way to Run a Rail Road, in my Estimation.. Mason Mechanical WILL get Paid for THIS INSTALLATION, but any Future Installations??? I read Comments about Mason doing Rebate Paperwork?? I am NOT aware of any Rebate. Mason failed to mention it. I am NOT real Happy with Mason Mechanical. I really can't say that I would Recommend them or even want to use them again. Fortunately they are NOT the only people that Instal,l A/C or Heating Units.

We shopped with 3 different companies that all had great marks w/ the BBB.  Mason stood out as the best choice for a few reasons.  First, their comfort consultant Dale was the most thorough & genuine salesperson we had over. He took our square footage, inspected the attic & asked us what was important to us, then offered a variety of options for our AC needs & budget. He was the most expedient in sending us a written proposal.  He was the only one who offered us the free use of a portable AC unit until they could get the job done (which was only a couple days vs the next week sometime that the other companies were telling us) They also included a yrs worth of filters w/ the job and 2 follow up inspections of the new unit (one within a week of installation where Dale brought a different tech  w/ him to double check the insallers work & a second one will happen in 6 months to make sure everything is still running fine) Not to mention they were very reasonabley priced compared to the other companies.  Oh, and I certainly can't forget to mention that each of the service men who came to our house were exceptionally friendly, polite, & cleaned up afterwards as if they had never been here. Our attic access is in my daughters closet, and Troy was careful to cover all her dresses so they wouldn't get dirty.  I found them on the BBB website and noted they had 0 complaints in the last 3 yrs. (which is as far back as you can see on the website bbb.org )  Several of the bigger name companies that boast A+ ratings w/ the BBB still had upwards of 40 complaints--they just resolved them to the BBB satisfaction after the fact. But think about how ticked a person has to be in the first place to go to the BBB.  
We were nervous about the large expense at first, but by the time we shopped around we were confident that we were making the right choice with Mason Mechanical.  Thanks Guys!
