The two AC units on my home were 17 year old basic models installed by the builder and it was only a matter of time before one or both required major service. Preferring to replace them on my schedule and not at a critical time in the heat of the summer, I invited four companies to provide bids. While Proskill wasn't the cheapest, they were the most affordable for quality units from a major brand. Brian K took a considerable amount of time to complete a load calculation, explained the available options and fielded numerous questions in person and afterward via email. He was patient and immensely helpful in selecting the proper units and ensuring I made my decision with confidence.
Proskill arrived on-time for the installation and the four man crew had both units installed in about four hours. Everyone was professional and friendly and the quality of the installation is outstanding. I'm super impressed and can recommend them without reservation. They're now my go to company for plumbing and AC services.

They quoted me $8k for a new system that I had to have and said it was the only solution. Called someone else and it turned out to be just a bad condenser fan motor and he fixed it in 2 hours for minimal cost....watch out!

I didn't get a chance to work with the company but Pam from customer service gets an A++ for her responsiveness and professionalism. Thank you Ms. Pam.

The AC tech was very nice and showed up in a mask as well. I appreciated that he was quick and explained the issue with our air-conditioning system. He fixed the issue within a half hour and was on his way. He even gave us some tips to keep problems from happening in the future and how we can save some money. Definitely a great experience.

My AC went out just as the heat started for the summer. Brian fit me into their busy schedule right away. Tom came to the house and gave me a complete description of what I needed, what work they would do and what to expect. They even provided me with a portable AC to keep me comfortable until the new AC was installed. The workers came on time, were efficient and cleaned up everything before leaving. Being a widow, Im always concerned of being taken advantage off. I'm very happy I chose AirTime and would recommend this company. Thank you Brian, Tom and the team.

I rated this company a 3 because the young man was on time, but I never received a bid for our project. One good thing, one bad thing makes this rating average.

Our AC wouldn't turn on and Manny came out to take a look at our unit. He arrived promptly on the early side of hr 2 hour window they gave us. Called ahead before he arrived. Very friendly. First thing he did was ask if the batteries had been changed in our thermostat. Oops! A quick change of batteries fixed the problem and our AC turned on right away. He was very kind not to charge us for coming out. He did recommend we get our AC looked at (we've been neglecting it since 2018 when we moved in) but he was not pushy about it at all. I really appreciate when a business waives fees as a courtesy when something like this happens. We'll be reaching out to Arcadia Air and asking for Manny when we do need service!

Our water heater broke. We called Hansen Plumbing. Preston was the technician that showed up. He showed at his scheduled time which was very refreshing. He was very informative on what the problem was and told us exactly what we needed to get our hot water back. Within 3 hours, we had a new hot water heater. Preston was very kind and helpful. Thank you Hansen plumbing!

I have been calling Steve personally ever since he gave us a quote for a new AC. I didn't buy an AC from them originally but did remember Steve and his honesty. A couple years later I did have the need to replace my AC and went with a Bosch unit from DD. Since then I have relied on Steve to service all 3 units on my house. He is always timely(usually that day) and gets the job done quickly. Good guy in a good company.

Nothing but great things to say about North Valley Mechanical and tech Chris! Our AC went out last night on the eve of a day with record breaking heat, and I requested service through my home warranty about 9pm. By 8:15am today I was scheduled forcan appointment between 12 and 4. At 9:30am I got a call saying the tech had finished his previous job early and could he come now! Yay! The tech spent 3 hours in the blazing heat getting our unit up and running, providing us a detailed report of the work he had completed and recommendations for future work. Highly recommend this company!!

When they say they warranty their work, they really do! We needed a slight change to the original work (not an error, just some tweaking), and Dave came straight out to help. He found out that we were low on Freon, and that there was a leak from when the original builders installed our unit. He hooked us up with what we needed for a great price. AND fixed our leak for free!! Always such a relief to find great companies to work with. :)

I have to take a minute to give the biggest 5 stars I've ever given. I can't say thank you enough to this incredible team. This is one of the most professional groups you'll come across, from the first minute of your experience. Scheduling was so easy, and about ten minutes before the technician arrived, i received a text message with details about my tech, and a picture. Then I immediately received a phone call from Gerardo, letting me know he was about 7 minutes out (and he arrived on the exact minute he said he would)!
Him and Jesus arrived, they took care of what they could, and were polite and very professional.
My home insurance has been the biggest pain in the rear to both me, and AC Doctors, but the company has graciously been helping me navigate the process, taking their own time to help me.
THANK YOU AC doctors for just being awesome people, and professional all around.

A/C went out on a Friday night in early May. Freddy answered his phone at 10:30 and was going to head over to my house to check. Since it appeared to be icing up, we decided to have him come over the next morning instead.
Since I knew my system was cresting 20 years old, I didn't hold out hope for a repair and sure enough I was leaking coolant from many coils. It could not be repaired. And who sets aside thousands of dollars for a new AC system?
Freddy was professional and explained all the options. There was varying degrees of costs and Freddy never pushed any option. He patiently answered questions on each option.
His company offers Wells Fargo financing, so it helps in making a more long term investment rather than an immediate cheap fix. Given this, I opted to go with a 21 seer variable speed system. After researching they should offer the best energy efficiency and lowest monthly electric bills.
Everyone who is in this situation should get multiple estimates. I had 5 people come and give bids after Freddy. He beat all their prices and presented the most knowledge. A few contractors talked about tearing out my ceiling, leaving me with either drywall repairs or more costs to fix it. One even talked about cutting into my roof trusses to get the unit to fit - a potential structural issue as I saw it. None of these things happened with Freddy's install.
Freddy delivered the system on schedule and the install went smoothly and quickly. It was about six hours total. His crew was clean, respectful and quick. They knew what they were doing.
Since this was a variable speed system, it takes some getting used to. My old system was full on with a full blast of cold air and then off. This unit can come on really low and you don't necessarily feel a cold air blast. It's more like a light breeze. This difference highlighted some hot spots in my home, so Freddy came back out a few days later to adjust vents and air flow. All good since.
Other companies also used the power company rebate to make it look like you were paying less. Freddy gave a very competitive bid and I got to keep the rebate to add to the loan, if I wanted.
With any install, Freddy includes maintenance and tuneups in his price for 2 years. You can add more years to keep an expensive purchase in top shape.
This is an up and coming company that wants to do right by their customers.
Phoenix has a thousand AC companies so if you're like me, you don't know who to call or who to trust. What I appreciated most about Freddy was his explanations on things and his low pressure approach. His prices were good, but I'd have spent more if I hadn't gotten a good feeling on his business. You want things done right and if something does go wrong, you want someone who stands behind their work to make it right. That was my feeling on Freddy and why I opted to use him.

Our AC started blowing hot air, so I called True North after researching them on Yelp. They were here within an hour and replaced a couple parts to help us extend the life of our older unit. We have cold air again! They were super polite, responsive, and helpful! We'll be using them again, and recommend you try them, too!

We had one of the worst experiences with Howard Air today! The Assistant Service Manager, Travis, denied my family (husband & 2 kids) service after I called to complain to him about a faulty service qoute.
When we initially called Howard Air, as a new customer, they quoted us 98 dlrs for a 44 point inspection on our units. We thought, wow what a great deal most places charge you per unit. So when the Tech, Bryan, arrived he asked with a surprised tone, You have two units not just one? We stated, yes 2 units. He said from the get - go, you know it's 98 dlrs per unit, right? We were surprised ourselves to hear that but we told him to come on in anyway because the service is needed and we'll deal with the office and whomever we spoke to when we set up the appointment. So while Bryan checked our unit I spoke with Travis to tell him we were misinformed by his appointment rep and were never asked how many units we had or told the price would double or triple depending on the number of units. We assumed that wasn't a factor and that it was a flat rate quote. We asked him if their was anything he could on the price since we were not prepared to pay 98×2. Travis responded with we have a 16 point check for 65, we can do that for the second unit but the one will be 98. I responded with that's not fair to me as a customer to have a 44 check on one and not the other. Your not really offering me a deal. He said let me check our system to find out who you spoke with. He then stated I can't find who you spoke with, do you remember? We said no. But what Travis didn't know was that the receptionist had told us, Oh, looks like you spoke with our service manager I'll just transfer you to him. So that's how we ended up speaking with him concerning the cost.
Anyway, he counters with we can go ahead and do the 44 pt check on your second unit for 65. I said really, what's a savings of 15 dlrs? Why wouldn't you offer 65 dlrs per unit for the 44 pt check? Would it be too much for your company to loose 30 bucks for the sake of retaining a new customer? He said well why dont I wait for Bryan to call me with the condition of your units and we can work something out afterwards. I said, fair enough.
Bryan worked on our units for about 15 to 20 minutes after my call with Travis and then packed his stuff up, when out to his vehicle to put the equipment away and knocked on our front door calling Mr. Martinez. Bryan spoke to my husband stating, my Boss called to let me know I was to clean up and part my ways with you. We will not be doing business with you from this point forward. I will send you an invoice of my finding and you will not be charged for the service check today. I'm only the middle men but in all my years I've never experienced the company turning a customer away, I thought you did your research?
Our family was in disbelief that Travis made this type of call when we were simply asking for a break because of their error (not being upfront with their prices). But we did feel it was a blessing to not work with a dishonest, egotistical company!
This all happened between 10am & noon. By 9pm, the same day, one of our units died on us...now we're left to wonder if something was done purposely to it by Howard Air.

After the diagnostics portion of the A/C Service Call we were presented with several well described options. The option we chose was 3rd from least expensive and hasn't, after 2 full days, resulted in any improvement of our A/C function.
We were informed that our Heat Pump system's interior parts are original and 25 years old the exterior unit is 3 years old and that was the unit that needed the work - go figure. The appt was kept within the parameters agreed to and the technician was friendly, efficient and professional. We appreciated the service and would likely cal again in the future.
