My Air Conditioner (AC) stopped working last night and this morning I call this company because of the only review. They do honor the $15 discount advertised on this site. I was given a specified time (3-5 p.m.) and was called at 2:48 and was told that the technician will be at my home in 20-30 minutes. Enrique showed up (within the time the office said he would) and introduced himself and then listen to what I had to say of the situation. He went to investigate the problem and checked everything. His analysis was spot on! We were quoted a fair price for the faulty capacitor and then he promptly replaced the items. During the repair service, Enrique gave me some advice on how to diagnosis problems in the future and fully explained how the system works! After he replace the faulty part, Enrique checked the entire system from the unit to the air handler to the air flow in the vents. Great customer service!
I would recommend this company to anybody. In March of this year I had George Brazil come out to assess my AC units and they said they were in great shape, but when they assessed my AC units at my rental home they were able to tell the capacitor was going to break and it did. George Brazil could tell one capacitor was going bad on one unit but not the other????? Then they try to sell you an annual service program and if something needs repair during that time, you still have to pay for repairs just at a discounted rate (big deal). I will use this company to asses my HVAC units in the future.

This company was outstanding! Very professional. Dominic came to my house to give me a quote. I wanted to replace and upgrade all my combo units in my 2-story home. He was very knowledgeable and did not try to upsell me. In fact he found all available rebates for me including SRP rebates and even took care of the paperwork. It's been 2 years since I've had my ACs serviced and wouldn't you know, the Friday before a record heatwave of 117 was coming our way, one of my AC units decided it would be a good time to quit.
I called a trusted friend of mine to ask what company she uses to service the ACs of her rental properties here in town and she responded right away with a referral to CW.
Mike was dispatched within 30 min (I couldn't believe the response time) and spent time with me to diagnose the problem and explain to me the ins and outs of what he was doing, why, what to expect etc (I always have a lot of questions). He fixed the failed capacitor in no-time and gave me an affordable bill for the service.
These are my go-to guys now for anything HVAC related.

Fantastic experience! Had an unexpected leak in one of the upstairs bathrooms, which required us to shut off water to the whole house. Within 40 minutes there was someone outside our door! The plumber showed up wearing a mask and was very friendly. He fixed the cause of the leak, and also replaced a part for the downstairs toilet as well as did a quick check of our water pressure at my request. Couldn't be more pleased. We will save this number and will call again for future plumbing needs!

The most important word I can use to describe Northvalley mechanical, and one that is so important to us all looking for air-conditioning service, is... ETHICAL!!
I recently used Northvalley mechanical through my homeowners warranty service and they did an excellent job. I know just enough about the workings of an air-conditioner to not get duped or ripped off. (At least I think I do... LOL) I already knew that currently my air-conditioner had been working on the fix of a prior warranty repair before I bought the house. That repair had jury rigged two capacitors where there should only be one. This was the unit that went down. North valley mechanical fixed it how it was supposed to be instead of putting just another Band-Aid on it.
I was very impressed with the tech and told him as much. He said that he felt it just wouldn't be a workmanlike manner if he did not do it right. Warranty work or not, North Valley Mechanical will be my go to air-conditioner maintenance company from here on out.

Eduardo came out for routine maintence and to clear the condensation lines at our request. He was timely, had excellent manners and was a very good communicator. He was friendly yet, worked steadily. He asked if we were interested in some add on items that could prevent damage and reported on the condition of our systems. He was really good at informing/educating as opposed to a hard sell. AC Doctors are lucky to have such a quality person representing their company.

This is an updated review, our AC stopped working in the middle of June in Phoenix AZ. After some research I found a company called Larson. They had good reviews but when I spoke to them I felt like they were trying to sell this contract that I didn't want so that's when I found Freddy's online. I called Freddy on a Sunday morning and he explained that he was very busy, he could maybe see us in the later evening but if something changed he would let me know. 2 hours later (early afternoon) he called and said he was close by and he got to us early! After a short period of time he explained to me that he had pinpointed the problem. It was my coil that had a leak. I told him that coil had been replaced recently by Collins Comfort and instead of trying to sell me so he could do the work, he mentioned that I should call Collins Comfort first. He told me that Collins Comfort should come out and fix it for free. So I called and he was right. Collins Comfort explained to me that all the labor, parts and work are free of charge but there is no coil at the moment and that my AC would be down until they could get the coil from the manufacturer. Collins Comforts Technician said that there was nothing they could do and to get a hotel until the coil arrived. After 2 days in a hotel, Freddy called me to check up on the AC. I told him what was going on and he said he would stop by the house later. He showed up to our house with a plan to do a temporary fix until our part arrived. Something that Collins Comfort never mentioned. Freddy treated us like family. Freddy was always thinking about the best interest of his customer. Freddy never tried to take advantage of us he always gave us the best advice for our pockets even if that meant him not getting the job! Freddy honesty and integrity is something very hard to find now days. Our AC is still working perfectly on this temporary fix while we wait on our coil that still hasn't arrived and Freddy just called me again recently to see how our AC is doing. Thank you Freddy! You saved us! You saved us a lot of money and you saved our home! I will always recommend you to all my friends and family!

It is not often that you come across friendly and professional customer service with attention to detail that exceeds your expectations. But Howard Air gets it done!
I have never really been happy with the performance of our air conditioning unit. I have always felt as if it was inadequate and not cooling properly, despite being told that it was a top-performing unit by one of the best manufacturers. Thinking a cleaning of the coils might help, I decided to give Howard Air a call and see about a cleaning and check up. Perhaps this would help a little bit when the mercury hovers near 118°.
My initial contact was by phone with Shelia. She was courteous and helpful. I was sent an email that fully explained what options there were for a checkup, cleaning and maintenance plan. After scheduling a time and date, I received a follow up email confirmation. On my appointment day, I received another email reminding me of my appointment and that I would receive a phone call from the technician to confirm his arrival time.
When Cliff arrived, on time as expected, I explained that I felt my Air Conditioner was not up to par. He listened to my concerns and then headed up to the attic to take a look. Within ten minutes of his arrival I heard what I had never heard before - air rushing out of my vents at a fervor. Not only that, I could feel the air blowing in parts of the house that were typically warm. When he came down out of the attic, I asked what he did and he said that the fan on the air handler was wired wrong. Wow! I have had two separate home inspections and two different a/c companies out to check these same units and all they have ever said is that everything looks good and is operating as it should. Those other companies also told me that I had a quality unit and it is at its peak performance. At this point, I was sold on Howard Air - no fluff just results.
After checking filters and electrostatic units in the attic, Cliff went outside to check the rest of the system. Again, within minutes, he was back and said that the unit was low on Freon, and the coils could use some cleaning as they probably hadn't been cleaned in a couple of years (what did those other techs do?).
Fast forward a 90 minutes later and suffice to say that even though the temperature outside was record-breaking and HOT, I was feeling, for the first time ever, ice cold Arctic air gushing out of all my air vents. He even pointed out that one of my air vent registers was upside down and fixed that too. So, in less than two hours, for a fraction of what I had spent over the years elsewhere, I had a properly operating, efficient system that coincided with what I was being told before, but never believed - Howard Air made it happen in just one visit.
I am now a believer in routine a/c checkups (done by someone who knows what they are doing) and I also subscribe to the Maintenance Plan that they offer. Now I know the job will be done correctly and only the things that are needed will be replaced. I also know that it will be done so with efficiency, integrity and done correctly.
The level of attention to detail went up another notch when I later went outside. Not only did the a/c unit sparkle, but also the side of the house was free of dust and the area all around my unit was swept, tidy and clean. Even my garden hose, used to clean the coils and a/c unit, was coiled up and neatly stowed - even I don't do that - and the hose certainly wasn't coiled up and neat when he first used it. I was even more impressed.
Overall, Howard Air is an excellent example of a local business (which has grown quite large over the years) that gets the job done with honesty, professionalism and a sense of caring about their customers. I am glad I decided to give them a call . . . my electric bill has been lower, my unit runs better, and less often, and for the first time, I have been able to feel cool, in the middle of the day.

Treated the complete opposite of what the company supposedly believes in doing things the right way not the easy way.
We have been paying for the plumbing and Air conditioning Sadie club for the last 3 years. The contract states that they will check all emergency shut-off valve operation to ensure they operate when needed however the valve behind our refrigerator has never been checked. We tried to have a new refrigerator installed and could not because the valve leaks. When we called and asked to have someone come out to fix the issue we were told by the manager that he would not give us any kind of price break or even apologize for them over looking this valve. We had 10 valves replaced, an R.O. System and water softener system install just over a year ago at that time we would have also had the shut off valve behind the refrigerator replaced had they checked it.
On our last inspection 05/12/2020 the tech told us that our anode rod in the water heater needed to be replaced. According to the contract it states that Goettl will Pull and inspect anode rod. their is no way a tech pulled or inspected the rod ever because the foam over the bolt had never been moved and anode rod bolt is seized do to sediment and corrosion.
This is unacceptable service for a company that claims to have a motto of doing things the right way not the easy way. Both of the above instances and examples of doing things the easy way not the right way.
