ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER
My dream has always been to run and operate a small business. I believe integrity coupled with professionalism yields success. I would ask my mother for the junk mail each day and would play office even as a child. Therefore my educational interests included bookkeeping and accounting. Success with integrity is my consistant goal.
My husband Bill began his career in the HVAC, air conditioning, refrigeration business in the 1960's working with his father. He continued his education in California working on refrigeration systems before returning to Phoenix in 1980. In 1981 Bill and I started AccuTemp.

Last week, I got a flat tire on the way back from dropping one of my son's off to school, with the other in the car staying home sick. I had conveniently fractured my tail bone two days prior and was struggling, to say the least.
Two super heroes in AccuTemp uniforms stopped to help. In 10 minutes, they ended my frustration tears and had my son and myself back in the car on our way.
Just giving kudos where it's due! And a huge Thank you!!!!
Our service technician Brian was professional, competent and courteous. I have always had good luck with Accutemp keeping in my air blowing cold. Brian reminded me to never let the power company take my three phase power and gave me some other pointers. Thanks Brian!
We highly recommend Accutemp. They have provided outstanding service to all of our commercial buildings as well as our residence for over twenty years.
We wouldn't trust anyone else with our heating and cooling needs.

If you need anything related to A/C, USE ACCUTEMP! They installed
a wine room refrigeration system for us and more than a year later it stopped working. When they came out they said it had not been installed correctly and completely redid it at no cost, including repairs to the house from the leaks. What company does that?? When we replaced 2 A/C units we went to AccuTemp and got the same great service. They have worked tirelessly to make the air flow perfect. The guys who come out are employees not contractors and we see the same respectful, skilled people year after year. Can't say enough about this quality company.

I had a bad capacitor on a Carrier AC unit. They did the work without telling me the costs and then handed me a $589 bill. I was not happy but paid it. They returned 5 minutes later saying they mis-charged me at it should be $504. Then returned 5 minutes later saying it should be $462. I called a friend, asked who they use, Sun Reys AC. I called them with the part that was replaced. He said part and labor would be $130.
Even better, after they left, the unit stopped working and they had to return. Hope they don't tell me I owe them more money... I won't be using this company any longer. I understand all companies need to make money but come on, $462 for something that should be under $200. Not right. Shame on me, lesson learned.
I have a Carrier unit and the blower would not shut off. I made the mistake of calling a non-authorized Carrier dealer that was very highly rated on Yelp. What a disappointment. I paid for the trip charge and had zero confidence in the proposed repair. So I made the call to an authorized Carrier dealer like I should have done the first time. The tech that came out from AccuTemp quickly diagnosed the problem and provided a proposed repair. He showed up on time and clearly knew his stuff. They had to order a part and schedule a follow up. Work was done on time and as promised. If you have a Carrier unit do yourself a favor and don't call anyone else.

Our AC went out, and we had to call out a different company because it was after hours on a Thursday night and we couldn't get a hold of AccuTemp. The other company misdiagnosed the issue, quoted us over $1200, and said it would be 4-5 days to fix.
We had AccuTemp out for a 2nd opinion the next day. They were immediately suspicious of the proposed issue, as it's (apparently) not a common problem for a not-very-old AC unit. They were correct. It ended up being a confluence 2 simple issues - a plugged drain pipe and a bad capacitor. It was fixed in 45 minutes for $200. It was fantastic. The tech was very knowledgeable, and honestly our relief is difficult to even put into words. It saved us $1000 and days paying for a hotel.
The only caveat I would put (and the reason this is 4 stars not 5); I wish Accutemp's after-hours service were better. They were the first people we called, but we left a voicemail which wasn't ever returned. That forced us to call a different company and go down a bad road.
Otherwise, this is def. a company you can trust to be honest and treat you well. They installed our unit years ago, have dealt with a couple simple issues since, and been great.
I used Accutemp in 2013 and received good service. No idea what happened to them, but they failed miserably this last time on an unnecessary level.
I called Accutemp on a Friday and made an appointment for the following Tuesday. They gave me a 4 hour window for the appointment (1pm to 5pm). While I was a little unhappy about the large window, what could I do? I waited all day and even called off work to make this appointment happen. As you'd have it, it was 4:50pm and they called and said we won't make it, can we extend the window an additional 2 hours? No thanks.
While I understand that things happen it is paramount to communicate to your customers. With a 4 hour window you never thought to call me and let me know that you may not be able to make the original window?
This may be one of those times where Accutemp should have under-promised and over-delivered. Instead they under-promised and under-delivered. Instead I went with Dukes of Air and my experience was completely different - they were in contact with me 3+ times before my appointment AND ended up coming over 2 hours early.
We've used AccuTemp 3 times now for a/c issues and each time they've been super responsive, quick, helpful, well-priced, and overall awesome. This last time turned out to be a broken thermostat and the tech did such a great job of installing a new one, as well he tuned-up our whole unit & even changed my air filters for me! Like, filters I already had in my closet - I didn't even buy them from him. Wow. I highly recommend them for any a/c needs you might have!!

The service from AccuTemp from start to finish was amazing. Around 6pm I got a hold of their after hours dispatch, and by 8pm the tech had arrived, left, and the issue was fixed. Given that it was after hours and a holiday weekend, the price was also very fair.
I'd definitely recommend AccuTemp to anyone with an A/C issue. Fast, fair, and honest, with great service to go along with it.

Would not use this company again. Tech was at my house for 30 minuets changed a bad capacitor. Their charge for the capacitor was $ 326.00 and $85.00 service charge. Found out after the fact that the same part on Amazon is $ 15.71 seems like a ripoff. Asked tech to have someone call me and have not heard a word since. Beware!

Our AC went out this afternoon around 12:30pm, and within 30 minutes we had a technician out to do the repairs. We are SO THANKFUL for their prompt service! Summer in Arizona without cool air is absolutely unbearable!
Our technician, Brian, was awesome (seriously though, give this guy a raise... he's incredible)! He was extremely efficient, very knowledgable, and a sincerely genuine guy. Our repairs were taken care of immediately, and the prices are absolutely amazing for the great service that they provide.
We immediately told our family down the street about this company following their repairs, as they were looking for a reliable AC repairman as well.
I would recommend them to anyone! THANK YOU, AccuTemp!! We are grateful and loyal customers for life!!!

AccuTemp Refrigeration was the third company I called for a repair quote for my A/C unit which quit working back in October. I had been told previously that my current unit was undersized so I expressed interest in possibly getting a new unit instead of repairing the old one.
The technician who came out was on time and after assessing the situation recommended that given the relatively young age of the my current unit and smaller duct size, that repairing the unit was probably the best way to go. I really appreciate the honesty and not trying to sell me anything I didn't need. On top of the professional service they also ended up with the most affordable. I will definitely be using Accutemp next time I have an A/C issue.
We bought an a/c from this company spring 2009 after several good experiences with another company just because they were more affordable. First service call cost nearly $100 because of dust buildup that clogged the pan in the attic to overflow causing water damage and our unit to repeatedly cut on & off. We diligently made sure that didn't happen again, but a couple years ago the unit was a pound low in refrigerant but service tech couldn't locate the leak in the supposedly closed system. That service call cost us over $200. A couple weeks ago the unit again was not cooling our house. Service tech again could not discover a leak and the unit seemed fine, but approx 2 lbs low in refrigerant this time. He added a sealant to the system which did end up revealing a couple tiny leaks in the coil - still under warranty. This visit cost us over $500. Between the purchase and this last service we referred two customers to them because despite the mishaps, the manager, salesperson, and Svc tech seemed honorable and honest. But 1st referral bought a unit that ended up needing Svc 1st two winters already just to get the heater working and wanted to charge her. I complained the 2nd time & they rectified the issue without additional cost to her BUT still managed to sell her a yearly Svc plan. The 2nd referral also bought a unit but no consideration or discount was afforded to us for that $500+ Svc bill, not even a coupon for pre-winter Svc. And the 2nd referral purchase resulted in damage to her residence when an installer slipped and damaged the drywall on her ceiling followed by a huge spill of blue adhesive on her new carpeting. Seriously? What happened to drop cloths? To make things worse, the manager delegated the issue to someone who passed her phone and address info to a drywall guy without her permission, the guy calls her to notify her when he would arrive to do ceiling repair and subsequently called 15 mins before he was scheduled to arrive to say he needs more sleep because he didn't feel well. Instead of 9am the disheveled guy appeared around 1pm! I could go on and on but I'm so done with this company. I lodged another complaint via email to the manager about how my 2nd referral is being treated and their lack of consideration for our loyalty that resulted in two a/c sales in addition to ours. No response. I could go on and on, but I'm done; enough said. Buyer beware.

We had a great experience with Accutemp!!! Our AC went out on the weekend and they came out for a price quote within an hour!!! The installers (Ernesto and Rick) were very professional and FAST!
Would definitely recommend them!
After calling and trying out a few different companies over the years, I settled on AccuTemp to service our heating system and get it ready for this past winter. They were easy to work with on the phone, they provided prompt service, and the prices were reasonable. Most importantly, the service tech was extremely helpful in the home visit. He carefully explained everything he did and noticed. He was not pushy or forceful; instead, he just wanted to let us know how everything looked.
I was very pleased with AccuTemp and plan on working with them again for all future A/C or heating needs.

We used this company last month at one of our projects in Scottsdale, they replaced a cooler/freezer unit. The project went smoothly and Joe M. was my contact from start to finish, he was wonderful to work with and he went above and beyond to make sure all was well.

I used AccuTemp to install a new AC but it was also a good product Trane which they were able to get finance for us. They recommended to go 1/2 ton larger than required no bigger which makes it easier on the AC to run. They did an excellent job installing and only service 1 time in 25 years to replace a capacitor (200.00) and still running strong. I see a lot of stories here but no mention what brand AC they have or installed. The first tech that came out didn't find the problem thought it was the thermostat, when they didn't seem to work they sent another guy out and that tech was I have to admit didn't do a good job at first seem pre-occupied with personal stuff on the phone and left, I had to call the company and they call him back out that's when he got busy and found it was the capacitor and it's been working great ever since. I don't believe in the seasonal maintenance stuff. Not broke leave it alone less hands messing around the better.

I had a great experience with AccuTemp.
On a Friday night in August, our air conditioner started blowing warm air. We were set to leave town on Sunday, so we needed someone to fix the problem on Saturday. I called on Saturday morning and talked to Sandy, who picked up right away and explained the pricing and availability. There's a charge of $125 for an after hours visit, but it seemed fair. She quickly called back and confirmed that a technician would be there within the hour. Indeed, 45 min. later the technician (Brian) was here. He immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it in less than an hour. The total bill was a few hundred dollars and we got the air conditioner up and running the same morning. Everyone I talked to was polite and professional, and they delivered exactly what they promised. I will definitely call them again when the need arises.

Great service and attentive quote for an a.c. zone motor replacement. Kept me in the loop on timing not ship the part in. Then quick scheduling and a friendly and efficient tech for a good fair price. I recommend and will call them first for my a.c. needs.
Accutemp are honest and fair air conditioning contractors!
Last summer I decided to replace my 25 year old A/C unit before it broke, and I was desperate to find a new one.
I scoffed at the, if it isn't broke don't fix it people, those are the people who get ripped off when their A/C breaks in the middle of summer in Arizona.
So I had the available funds, and I got the names for several A/C contractors. Some were personal referrals, others were SRP recommended. I double checked each company's record with the BBB and the AZ Registrar of Contractors, especially since in AZ we have so many A/C contractors, some of whom are scam artists.
I narrowed my list down to five companies and got estimates from them. I was of course looking for the lowest estimate, but I was also looking for the one with great customer service too. When you buy an A/C unit you generally deal with that company on an ongoing basis for maintenance.
Four of the companies gave me a quote for the exact same A/C unit which made them easy to compare. When I had all 5 estimates I called the one that offered me the lowest quote, had been professional, on time, and had a good service plan, which was Accutemp. I had another larger A/C contractor here in the valley whose quote was $700 higher than Accutemp, call me back a week after I got their estimate and they offered to undercut my lowest bid from any other company by $100. I told them no thanks. Why couldn't they have just offered me their best price on their initial estimate? I think that is sleazy, and I was not going to undercut another business who gave me their best price up front to save $100.
The range of quotes to do the exact same job with the exact same A/C unit varied from $400-$800 above the lowest bid. Which goes to show, that even reputable companies seem to be overcharging for new A/C units.
Accutemp did a good job, and I feel lucky that I found a trustworthy company.

I CANNOT say enough good things about this company! Every part of my experience with them was top notch...from the initial call I made, I had a great feeling about choosing this company. Customer service was amazing...answered my questions over the phone and on site, called back to confirm I would be home, etc.
The technician (Joe) was polite, professional, and took the time to sit down and explain to me what the issues were with my AC. (And also gave me some great pointers about air filters!)
Repairs were made promptly after the issues were diagnosed and the technician had all the necessary parts on his truck.
Prices seemed very reasonable, and I never once felt like I was trying to be 'upsold' on what was needed.
A+++ Will recommend highly to all of my friends and family!

117 degrees and our AC finally bites the dust. David, from AccuTemp, answered all of my questions within minutes of contacting him. He had a quote the next day and install shortly after. The company is honest and reliable, I am so happy that I chose to go with AccuTemp- I am finally feeling the cool air!!

Fast. Install of a new system, removal of in closet air handler, three drops for returns and replacing inefficient old duct work in one day. Custom job with excellent results. The guys worked as a unit and I was impressed at their attention to detail.
HVAC running great. Steve came over the Saturday morning before his daughters softball game to help me with the thermostat. A little unit lockout that I did not know about. All good now.
They all seemed like good hearted family guys that I would invite to my house to watch a game.
Hope this helped. One last thought. Arizona Refrigeration dropped the ball on a warranty install on a different house. Charged my $1200 for 3 hours work to install a compressor that failed under warranty. Crooks.
Accu-temp fair quality work.
Another great experience! Well since the las great experience I just had another. The Tech, Ken, sure knows his business. Great personality as well. No problem recommending this company.

I needed same day service on my A/C when it stopped blowing. They were able to send a technician out within the time frame they initially scheduled. They arrived and quickly diagnosed a bad blower motor.
The office staff was able to locate a factory replacement motor on the other side of town. The tech's went to pick it up (in rush hour traffic) and returned to install it. They kept me informed of what they were doing and what it was going to cost. The motor was covered under warranty! I paid for the labor and I always felt they were giving me an honest assessment of what was going on. They will now be my go to company for annual A/C check-ups and anything else I need.

I had AccuTemp come out to have a look at my 10yr old AC unit. Staff is very friendly and polite. They spent about 25min looking into why my AC unit wasn't cooling as it should, then made recommendations on what was needed to fix it.
The repair was done in a timely manner...had to wait for a replacement part, but the repair man came back and installed the part as soon as it had arrived. Only charging me once for the trip and not a second time as some other companies do.
One of the recommendations was to redo my duct work as the living-room wasn't getting enough airflow...the quote for this was a little high as I had a second opinion and they quoted the same job for far less.
All in all I am happy with their services. Their maintenance plan is a good choice.

I echo what one reviewer said about the receptionist. She made me not want to use this company. I told her I was out of town and couldn't get there until 3pm but she was very precise that the time frame had to be 1-4 and if it was after 4pm they would go into their costly weekend rates. She was also very precise about what the service call would cost me within 30 minutes and how much it would increase in increments after that! I'm sure she was just saying what she was told to say but, geesh, she scared me away from using this company!

Very thankful on a holiday weekend! Super professional - quick response - courteous - on time with timeframe told - quality work - very well priced. We returned home from a 4th staycation on a Sunday to find our house at 96 degrees. We called and left a message and got a return call in less than 20 minutes when the range is an hour. We got service about an hour later. Very reasonable rates for a Sunday of a holiday weekend. They were quicker than estimated on all fronts. AC fixed and we dont have to stay in a hotel tonight. Thank you!!!

Why does this always happen during the Summer months? I come home from work yesterday and notice that my house is hotter than outside! Good thing my house has 2 AC units(upstairs/downstairs), so I made an appointment for the next day for a repair tech.
I get a call from Jennifer that the tech will arrive between 10-3 and get another update that the tech is on the way. My tech , Ken, quickly finds the cause as a bad contactor, shows me the bad part (that has tons of filth on it) and replaces it. Ahhh..... cool ac again.
Accutemp will always be the best for me as not only are the office personnel and techs always courteous and friendly ( a lost art in 80% of business nowadays), but
their updates and prompt service has made me a customer for life. Gotta keep up on those Season maintenance to keep my outside units clean!

We highly recommend Accutemp. We had a couple of service calls on our old heat pump which were very satisfactory. When the heat pump died, we bought a new system from them, and installation and a couple of maintenance service calls since have been excellent.
But, we would not buy a Carrier Heat Pump again. Works fine, but the programmable thermostat is just too complex, and difficult to understand and program. And the system won't accept non-Carrier replacement thermostats.

Accutemp service has been incredible. I have a business property. There maintenance contracts and impromptu service is incredible. My units have gone down frequently due to the monsoon storms and there is no question accutemp has fixed them as soon as i call. Thank you for your continuing service and dedication to the warranty. I would highly recommend them to all customers. All service technicians have been courtesy and dedicated to assisting my business.

Services were good, prices were reasonable. That said, after a few months of seeing insulation drop through a vent i climbed into the attic to find some of the duct blowing into the attic and not connected to the vent (I love spending $$ on cooling my attic....keeping it comfortable for the roof rats). That said they were very responsive. I had it done in the winter so once we hit 115 in July i may bump or drop them another star :).

Our air conditioner conked out in the middle of last night. I called the 24 hour number for Accu Temp - actually found this company on Yelp and liked the positive reviews. Within 2 hours of my initial contact, Mike W. came out, figured out the problem, left to get a new pump, installed it and evaluated the system for any additional issues.
He was extremely helpful and professional. I am very pleased to recommend this company to fellow homeowners in the valley. It's nice to know that when the temperatures are in that July August range, this company goes above and beyond to get your home livable in such a timely manner.

I was in need of replacing my air conditioner. My son suggested I go with a Carrier condenser, so the first thing I did was go on Carrier's website which offered quite a few companies to choose from. I picked 3 and did my homework ... Better Business Bureau and read reviews on yelp. AccuTemp had nominal, if any, unresolved complaints and great reviews on yelp. David Bird was very responsive to my numerous questions. His willingness to hold discussions with my son and his patience with me made me feel very comfortable to move forward with AccuTemp.
The installation crew, Ric and Anthony, was punctual and conducted business in a very professional manner. They answered any questions we had, installed the unit in a timely manner, and above all left my condo clean.
I would not hesitate to recommend AccuTemp to anyone.

Had some opportunities with another A/C contractor, so I returned to yelp to find another. They were very professional, organized, reasonably priced, responsive, and catered to my specific needs. I will use them again.
I can fix most anything but I know nothing about residential AC. My unit wasn't working, hottest week and setting records in Phoenix, had no idea who to call or what to expect but was expecting the worst. Mike was the tech they sent. I was pleasantly surprised when he got to the house same day we called and was just a super nice and knowledgeable tech. I was fully expecting with the high demand this week to get hosed but they were fair and honest, .They didn't hit me with an Emergency or Same Day extra charge! I didn't feel like I was getting fllim-flammed by them either.
AccuTemp and your Rep/Tech Mike have got my highest referral going forward. I'll actually have my unit serviced regularly now that I'm not terrified to as so many people I know (18-20 range) that have had their unit serviced said it quit 2-3 weeks later and had to buy a whole new unit. Mike deserves a pat on the back and maybe a bonus to go with that pat on the back!! When you need service, forget the rest and call the best!!
P.S. Not one of the other companies I was referred to by others even bothered to call me back! Four days have past since I left messages needing my unit serviced.

Just bought a 16 year old house with a 16 year old a/c & gas furnace - split system. I had three companies come out and give me a bid and their recommendations. Two were Carrier dealers, and one was Lennox.
I chose Accu Temp. I asked a gazillion questions and always got a polite accurate answer - no dumb blond comments etc. I never felt like I was bothering the salesman, Matt, with my sometimes pretty stupid questions.
Their very professional crew spent the day at my house and did a terrific job. I felt comfortable enough with them that I went shopping and left my home completely open to them Told them their was soda & water in the fridge and to help themselves.
It was a lot of money to spend, but it needed to be done. I got honest answers and got rid of the old a/c AND the gas furnace I was scared to deaqth of.

I can't praise this company enough. Our A/C had broke on Thursday afternoon on an early August day when the temps were around 110. When I called Accu Temp on Friday morning, they first estimated someone would be out between 2 and 4 hours, but then called back that they rearranged their schedule and had someone out in 30 minutes.
The person who came out, Ken, was thorough, knowledgeable, and most of all, conscientious. After spending all day up-and-down on the roof in the sweltering heat, without taking a lunch, and after having put his ladder and tools away, he wasn't happy with the differential between the intake and out-flow temperatures (he expected 20 degrees and it was 16 degrees), so he got the ladder and tools out again to add 1/2 pound more of refrigerant, and the differential was now the expected 20 degrees. And this was on a Friday afternoon to boot!!!
Trust is hard to come by now-a-days, and not only will we stay with this company for on-going maintenance and inspections, but will whole-heartedly recommend this company to friends and co-workers.

Interested in a Carrier A/C? This is the place to call!
Good price and good warranty and good after-program (in fact, great after service with 2 free checkups a year).
Did lots of research on who to use and had it down to this firm and another. I went with Trane ultimately, but Carrier is also great and was a hard decision for me to make between the two. However, if I were to not buy Trane this is the company I would use.
They really have an exceptional program for their clients that I didn't see anywhere else, and I would definitely trust their service as they have many great yelp reviews here.
Carrier is an old line a/c company with a great reputation, but I just wanted to change out the Trane I had before--otherwise, Carrier it would be.
David Bird was the rep who came out who will be more than happy to explain everything in their program to you. Nice people here, too.
This is a solid company with a very good reputation for a reason.
This is the best refrigeration company I have dealt with. Ken not only provided excellent service, but also offered a more reasonable alternative to a new system, which another company recommended I needed. His professionalism, knowledge, ethics and customer service, was very commendable.

Last week, I called AccuTemp Refrigeration based on reviews from Yelp. We moved into a new home and needed to see if the AC was working well and up to snuff. We set up a schedule easily for two days down the road. Ken was our technician. He came right on time. He checked everything in the attic and noticed a some potential for the clogging of the overflow system. He made a $20 adjustment to ensure good drainage. Next he looked at the unit (17 years old) and indicated that it was still in good working order. We also had some rattling noise that we could hear, so we were expecting a condenser problem or some other problem in the ceiling. It turned out that the vents rattled when set a just a particular angle. He adjusted them, no more rattling. Total cost...$80 for the maintenance check and minor drainage adjustment.
During the whole process, Ken would provide instruction on what he was doing and the potential problems and solutions. He was very informative and honest. I would recommend Ken and AccuTemp to anyone. They were very good. My mother is going to call them soon to service her AC.

The only reason I'm giving AccuTemp two stars INSTEAD of one is because their replacement specialist Mike was awesome. If we could have dealt with him the entire time we would have gone ahead with the repairs -and likely be giving them a better review right now.
The reason they are getting such a low rating is because:
I called AccuTemp originally because I liked the fact that their technicians are non-commisioned. I told the lady who answered the phone that I needed to schedule a repair estimate. She responded, A repair estimate. Okaaay. My initial instinct was to hang-up. I have an A/C unit that is functioning subpar and I'd like someone to take a look at it. Call it what you want, I could do without the attitude I was getting over the phone. But I thought, just because receptionist irks me, doesn't mean their technicians aren't great. So I clarified what I wanted and we scheduled an appointment for a couple days later.
We wanted an estimate for replacing the Air Handler up in the attic at a rental property. The replacement specialist (Mike) gave us a quote, but suggested that we have one of their repair technicians take a look at the unit since there might be a cheaper solution to our problem. We found Mike to be very honest, professional, and courteous.
So we set up another appointment with a repair technician. We scheduled several days in advance and were told he would arrive between 1-5pm on Friday. On Friday at 5:20pm the renter's called to let me know that nobody had showed up/ were wondering if they should keep waiting. Now granted it was Memorial Day weekend, and I'm sure they were slammed, but a courtesy call would've been greatly appreciated. I called the office and got the voicemail since it was after hours. I left a message and waited hoping someone would call me back. Finally I thought to call Mike (replacement technician) on his cell, even though he wasn't involved with our repair. Within minutes Mike called me back and said he had called the main office and they should be getting in contact with me shortly. Again, awesome customer service by Mike! The main office did call shortly and said they could have someone out there around 7:30pm or the following morning. The renter's were NOT happy with this at all as they had Memorial weekend plans, so we rescheduled appt for the following Tuesday.
Late Tuesday afternoon I get a snide phone call (same receptionist, lots of attitude) that the repair technician is at the rental property, but nobody is home. At the same time the renters are calling me to let me know it's almost 5pm and nobody's showed up yet. So I asked the receptionist if she was sure he was at the right address (Ave not Dr. or St.) Turns out he was at the wrong address, She apologized and said he'd be there shortly. He suggested we have two parts replaced. But before he could replace anything we needed to install plywood in the attic so he could have easier access.
In speaking with the receptionist to get clarification over what exactly was needed, she said two 8'x2' sections 1inch thick ($50 at home depot). I asked if the sections could be cut at all so we could fit them in our car, but she said No. and suggested that we rent a truck from Home depot. We live 60miles away from the rental property and the whole process was turning into a huge headache.
So we went with a different company. Visca A/C -(yelp.com/biz/visca-a-c-p…) Their estimate for the same two parts was half the price of Accu Temp's (granted Accu Temp is a larger company/ probably has more overhead costs), but after checking the A/C they also said only one of the two parts even needed to be replaced /the other was working perfectly fine which again cut the cost of the repair in half. And they said the attic was easy to navigate -no need for any plywood!
Our air conditioner stopped working this week around 6:00 pm. Fortunately, we have two zones and the air conditioning in the bedrooms was working fine. For this reason, I requested AccuTemp to come out the following morning. The service tech arrived on time and identified the problem within ten minutes. The motor burned out due to wires getting tangled within the unit. The prior company I used (through our Homeowners Insurance) tied the wires together with a plastic tie. With the warm weather, the tie broke. I am happy to say that AccuTemp fixed the problem and covered the wires appropriately and did it within 45 minutes. The tech stayed until he verified the AC was working properly. The knowledge and professionalism of the tech exceeded my expectations and the cost to fix was fair and below my expectations. AccuTemp is now my company of choice. I highly recommend them!
so you write all this, but still your company didnt close off my gas pipes in closet, have photos if needed. thats terrible work ethic and i still stand on my first comment. and no i didnt just drop this case because two of the guys talked in circles to justify this mess.
I have an 11 year old unit that has a bad compressor and was quoted by another big name company that it would cost me $3000+ to replace but that they recommended an entirely new unit for $11000+ with a very demeaning sales person. Due to such bad experience I started calling other companies to get comparable prices for both services to make a more informed decision. Mind you this all happened on a Sunday.
When I called Accutemp, they were super helpful and very profession. They took the time to give me advice over the phone and help me understand the pros and cons to replacing the compressor vs getting a new unit. Their quote of $6000 for a better unit was considerably cheaper than the lower end unit from the other guys at $11000. Their quote of a new compressor was lower as well. I appreciated the honesty, sincerity and the guidance and would highly recommend this company to anyone having HVAC troubles. Thank you AccuTemp for your professionalism!
Through our experience, we did get the big name company to beat the price quoted by AccuTemp, as well as pay for our two night hotel room stay due to their technician's previous incompetency. Even though I truly would have rather had given my business to AccuTemp, the 10 year warranty package the other company gave us for free couldn't justify me telling them to go jump off a bridge so that I could use the more reputable AccuTemp co.
Please do not hesitate to use this company. If I could travel back in time, I would have started with AccuTemp from the very beginning.
After 4+ bids for an AC Unit, I went with AccuTemp. Matt was helpful and honest. He gave us time to do our research and answered all our questions. The installers were professional and although a mistake was made, they came out quickly upon realizing there was a problem and corrected their mistake. Mike was on top of it and wanted us to know that they stood behind their work. Hopefully there will be no more problems in the future but should there be, I am sure they will be there to help and fix them.

I had problems with my a/c all summer. I had Brad the handyman out and he couldn't fix it. Then Precision from Chandler who changed a capacitor and still my a/c lines were freezing up. On my 4th call I tried AccuTemp. Mike came out and determined I had a clog in the expansion value. He cleaned it up and the a/c has been running great since. I would definitely use this company again.
This is the best AC business I've dealt with anywhere. Reliable, polite, professional, honest, and competent. Reasonable prices. And they don't try to sell you a bunch of crap you don't need. Highly recommended!

I'd like to thank Chrissy for making this right. She charged me for the service that I received and I greatly appreciate her excellent customer service. I will now consider AccuTemp for further A/C work.

AccuTemp Refrigeration saved the day! After being scammed by another company called Accutemp Air, I was able to get top notch service and installation from a reputable company. It was impressive from the moment I spoke to the manager till the installation was completed. Their customer service was outstanding. I will continue to recommend them to all of my friends!

i saw the good reviews on yelp so i called accutemp for a price quote for an ac check up... the receptionist asked if i was a srp or aps customer. i have srp. right now they are running a special for srp customers for $30 for a check up! (a great deal.. normally its 70!)
i was going to be home from work for a few days, but they didnt really have any openings until the end of the month.. the receptionist was able to fit me in so i didnt have to have a friend come over and wait for the technician when i was at work...
ken came out to look at my system. he was super kind and friendly. he explained the parts of the unit to me and what to notice if there are problems... and he answered all of my questions (and i had a bunch..!) super pleased w/ my experience w/ accutemp! :)

Of course, the AC breaks down when it's 111. We've used AccuTemp for years and have always been very happy with their quality and service. Tonight they were here in less than 2 hours, diagnosed the problem quickly and had the part to fix it on the spot. I'd have hugged our tech, Brian, but we were both sweaty . Highly recommend!
I was having trouble finding someone to come out and take a look at our AC unit - my home warranty company said the soonest they could get anyone out was in two days. Not okay, considering it's 100 degrees out and I have a baby in the house. I called AccuTemp and they had someone at my house within the hour. The woman who answered the phone was very friendly and understood my situation, and Ken, the technician, was superb! He found a few other issues in our unit that four previous contractors had not seen, and I'm very grateful to him for pointing out these issues that could lead to future damage.
I was very impressed with AccuTemp and will continue to do business with them in the future!
Great company with excellent service. They dont commission their techs so you dont have to worry about being upsold just so the tech can jack his truck up. Had an issue with our AC and they fixed it quickly. Highly recommended.

They changed my ac 6-7 months ago. The price was good and installer did a good job. But the customer service is not as good. I got the filters after making some calls. The ac is making very loud noise also, they came and checked but couldn't fix it. I was promised $200 aps rebate but i haven't got it yet and haven't received call back from accutemp after several follow up call.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I am a landlord and unfortunatley currently out of town and this company totally tried taking advantage of the siutuation! My AC unit was acting up in 110degree temp and they sent a tech out who totally misquted and later to find out mis diagnosed. For what they needed to replace they qouted me $1700. I thought this was high so I called 2 other companies through Yelp and the 2 other companies qouted me $1010 and $990. Then when I declined to use them and I told them exactly why, she charged me $195 for 3hrs of examination when it probably took 1hr and that was to call around for parts. I will never use this company agaion and totally advise anyone to stay away!
Yelp reviews sent me to this Company. They were a second opinion for repair over a personal recommendation. I was blown away by the professionalism of the technician and Dave ( install coordinator?). I would have given the company 4.5 stars but the original phone call to receptionist / assistant/ call operator was off putting. Kind of an air of arrogance. Made it past that to the actual nuts and bolts of the operations and was very satisfied even though the news was a unit replacement at $4k. Within 24 hours a crane was onsite and replacement complete. Then I received a phone call from Lisa for payment. Same attitude, coldness, indifference to my business. It's tough to see the people actually doing the work in the field professionally, honestly, and promptly get tainted by the phone answerer / bill collector. Fix that problem and this company is amazing. Overall still happy I chose them for my repair.
I called Monday morning during a heat wave and said that our unit was not cooling down as much as it should a hot afternoon. They said they either could come out in the afternoon or the next day, which--considering we still had a/c and it was cool at night--was fine. They did keep in touch (it was the next day), and I found the technician to be on-time and responsive. (Some freon just needed to be added.) The service call was $65 and the lb. of freon $25, so it was very reasonable. He told me the techs work by the hour and not on commission like some companies, so they don't try to sell you something they don't need. I definitely would use this company again.

Funny how 24 hour emergency service offering companies never seem to have anyone available until the next business day afternoon.
One of my A/C units went out on one of the hottest days in the valley...120 degrees today! I found AccuTemp on Yelp and decided to give them a call. They have emergency service on the weekends and while you pay extra for the emergency service, it's worth it when you need them at the last minute on a Saturday. The customer service was amazing. She made sure to let me know the costs and while they were super busy today (not surprising with this heat), she said she would keep me up to date if they could get out to me. She called me twice just to update me on the status and they were out to my house much faster than I ever expected! The tech walked in and got straight to work. He didn't waste any time and had the unit fixed in minutes. (It was a capacitor) The price was very reasonable and he didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. I would highly recommend AccuTemp and while I hope I don't need A/C service anytime soon, they will be the ones I call if I do. A+

Two other AC companies were going to charge me double for the same fix. Accutemp has a new customer for life! Highly recommend!

My experience was very good. Ken was my repair person. I always cringe when repair people come out to do work. While my repairs were not cheap, I thought the were reasonable. Same day service and really prompt. Nice since the temperature is so hot. I would call again.
Excellent Service. My heater stopped working and Heidi dispatched a technician within an hour. Seth got it back up and working after getting a replacement part. Both were courteous and professional, and they made the experience stress-free.

Their tech showed up the same morning I called which is great for response time for an AC repair. He took a long time but couldn't get the unit running cold. He seemed to be hung on selling me a newer unit instead. The next day a tech from a different AC company got it running in just a few minutes. Eventually I did replace the entire AC unit, and the price I paid was well below the Accutemp estimate.
