Best Flooring Contractors in United States

Flooring America of Chandler Flooring Contractor
Happy to report that Greg, Salesman, and installation crew are fist class and do an outstanding job. We had vinyl placed in our 12X12 laundry room and have been very pleased with the results. Vinyl is nothing like it used to be and is much more user friendly than the old linoleum we used to see back in the day.  We removed the water heater and refinished the baseboards to the room would be nice, clean and ready to go... Once the flooring was in, we noticed some bubbles right at the door. The installer was out the following day and took care of that problem and installed a transition piece between the vinyl and tile floor that I had rehabbed for that purpose at no additional charge. If you need flooring of any kind, Give Greg a call; you will be well taken care of.

Floor Depot North Flooring Contractor
I'm so happy I found Jeff and Floor Depot North. We went to almost every flooring store in the valley, and brought home so many different samples. Jeff was very knowledgeable, patient, and not pushy. I was looking at dark oil finish hardwoods, and they just weren't looking right in the house. Jeff picked out two Provenza Pompeii colors I would have never in a million years tried... I trusted his judgement, gave them a shot, and both were so perfect in the house that I had a really hard time picking between the two. After several weeks of bringing the same samples back, and then checking them out again, I finally made up my mind. I couldn't be happier, everything about the wood, service, and installation was perfect.

Jeff recommended an installer who was excellent. He was a perfectionist, beveling the edges of the wood so it would line up to the tile perfectly without a T-mold. I'm so happy with Floor Depot North, and the installer he recommended, that I'm already saving up to do the rest of my house... I know who I'm calling when it's time!

Cactus Core Construction Flooring Contractor
Hands down, Q is one of the best out there - he's honest, hardworking, knowledgeable and very trustworthy. I referred him to my family members as well. Easy to communicate with and no project is too big or too small from electric, plumbing to installing tvs, I would highly recommend him to everyone.

Arizona Construction & Restoration Flooring Contractor
The first "crew" to come out was one man subcontracted to hang the drywall. As you can see in n the photos, large oblong cuts were made for plugs, the shut-off valve for the water supply for the fridge was covered, broken drywall, torn drywall and drywall kicked into place. Jennifer and Michelle came out after I took the key out of their lockbox and complained about the work. I was told I would be happy and they would get a new crew in. The second crew did all the mudding on Tuesday broken drywall, sealed my Ethernet connection in the wall destroyed my vanity light and the list goes on. Oh they also unplugged my drop in freezer and all the food spoiled. When contacted about this, I got radio silence. The next response I got was when I emailed in question to whether permits had ever been filed and asking g for them to stop work until I knew if they had permits. Jennifer responded threatening that if I went to get permits I would have to bring the entire house  up to new electrical standards, and tear out the walls. That's fine there are more waves in my walls than in the Atlantic ocean anyway. If you want your home to look like a mirror funhouse go with these guys. Being told how I should feel better and being dismissed for my concerns and doing fast sloppy work is just sub par business ethics. Threatening a homeowner with even more of a financial loss because you cut corners and didn't apply for work permits is unethical.

Builders Flooring & Design Flooring Contractor
The team at Builders Flooring & Design has done a great job of coming up with a design for cabinets in our laundry room and key drop areas.  They helped me stay within budget, get high quality cabinets, and installed in a timely and efficient manner.  Unlike projects done by other vendors in the past, there were NO mistakes along the way.

I have no suggestions for improvement.  Good job, Laurel and Nik!

J & A Framing and More Flooring Contractor
I hired them to remove a load bearing wall from my house, I wanted to make sure whoever I hired knew what they were doing since it's such an intricate job, Alfredo showed up to give me an estimate and was very professional and knowledgeable, we agreed on a price, two weeks later his crew showed up, they were super clean, put plastic on all my walls/furniture/flooring to protect it from dust, they got to work and did a fantastic job, I'll definitely keep their contact info for future projects

Apache Tile Outlet Flooring Contractor
This is an update to my review from yesterday. I have lowered their rating and highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this company or their contracted installers. The installer failed to secure the sink to the cabinet with the necessary clips and also damaged my faucet causing it to leak, so I had to replace that too. In all I have had to spend an additional $1000 to secure the sink, reconnect the plumbing, replace and install the new faucet.

Olympic Hardwood Flooring Flooring Contractor
I have nothing but excellent feedback for Rafal and his staff.  I could not be more satisfied from the first visit to the completion of the two wood floors in the master bedroom and the great room. Rafal explained all of the options and discussed the job in detail. Communication was great and the job was scheduled at my requested days and times. The price was very competitive and the workmanship and quality of the products were outstanding. I would highly recommend Olympic flooring to anyone who is interested in wood flooring. Wood is all they do and they are highly specialized and very professional.

I Clean Carpets Flooring Contractor
I called Robert yesterday to request a cleaning in the North West Phoenix region (just shy of Anthem).  It rang and rang and went to voicemail.  I hung up!  While debating whether to call back and leave a message (as most reviewers stated that Robert is excellent at returning messages), he called back!!!  So, excellent start to the service, Robert!

Though our location was extremely far out for him and his earliest available day would be approx five days out, he does have a partner he works with who he believed would be available.  Robert was extremely informative and VERY patient with me (calling on behalf of a woman who's first language is not English and I had to keep forcing Robert to wait while I relayed information back and forth).  Robert told me he would call his partner and get back to me within 10 minutes.  Before the 10 minutes were up, Robert called back!

Robert was very informative, helpful, and patient.  On top of that, his prices beat out the other companies I had contacted who had similar or worse ratings.  Better ratings, better price, can this be too good to be true?

Robert's partner, Alex, was able to come to the house that afternoon and do the cleaning.  I am giving only four stars for a few reasons:

1.  Robert told me he would call me when Alex was en route to the house for his 3p-5p window.  I never received this call.
2.  I have not seen the cleaning myself.  I have heard that it was done well, the guy was nice, and everything went smoothly.  I can't honestly do a 5 start until I see the finished product myself and will not be at that house until next week at the earliest.
3.  I have not used any other carpet cleaning companies myself and therefore have no person experience in order to compare "I Clean Carpets" with any other company.

I am giving four stars because:

1.  Robert was extremely helpful, informative, and patient..
2.  Robert was very fast to respond to my calls.
3.  The price was better than Stanley Steemer and a couple other companies that are just as good and companies that aren't nearly as good.
4.  Despite being a little out of Robert's service area, he still managed to work with us and even got us a same day cleaning!  How cool is that?
5.  Professionalism, kindness, and overall greatness.  This just seems like a great company to me and none of the 5-start reviews were wrong in their satisfaction with this company.

Patterson Homes Flooring Contractor
This review has been a long time coming, but I honestly  have been avoiding having to relive the experience by writing it out.

This review is specifically for Patterson Landscaping, part of Patterson Homes. We bought a 2018 home on 1.2 acres and we needed to get it landscaped. After getting quotes from several companies, we decided to go with Patterson, who were not the cheapest but gave the impression of pure professionalism. We signed a contract March 2021 for them to extend the pavers on our driveway, create another walkway to the street and a walkway all the way to the back patio, which would be doubled in size with paver overlays. We also wanted some low maintenance plants, a few boulders and rock and a pergola cover over the back patio extension. A huge $40k project that was nothing to scoff at.

They had originally said they would start in 6-8 weeks. They didn't start the project for 16 weeks! They blamed it on being unable to find the correct pavers to match what we already had. When they finally said they found them and they were delivered, they were the wrong pavers! They have been looking for the wrong thing the entire time. The good news was they were able to find the right ones within a week and got started.

They ended up not having estimated enough rock, ordered more, poured it in the wrong place on the right side of the house and were going to leave it looking halfway done over there. We eventually got them to agree to either scrape it or fill the rest of the area in to correct the mistake.

All in all, the front yard project went relatively well and everything looked good. Then we got to the back. As we already had a concrete slab patio that they were going to be extending, they decided to use veneer pavers to overlay on top of the concrete and then extend over the dirt. I wish I had researched this before, but why should I have to? Apparently veneers do not do well over dirt and should ONLY be used on concrete. We realized why afterwards. Our back patio, with the numerous timing delays (for the pavers and for the pergola cover) is very uneven with large dips of single pavers or whole areas. In the areas where water comes off the roof, it has started eroding the quarter minus underneath and now pools. Mortar at the edges of the patio is already cracking. And they have refused to acknowledge or do anything. When we had to have ROC come out to look at it, Guyton promised to amend it any way possible so we would be happy. And then we never heard from him again.

Overall, from signed contracts to completion, it took 9 months (they said it would take 6-8 weeks to start and 2 weeks to complete). They then had to come out 3 months later to fix some broken mortar on the patio. It has since broken again (3 months later). This company is a nightmare of miscommunication and lack of communication. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Express Flooring Flooring Contractor
Had no issues with the design consultant, he showed me tiles that I liked, we agreed on a grout and scheduled the install for a Wed-Fri with possible Sat time needed. I was promised this would be done by 'professional installers'.  Paid up front.

The installers that arrived barely spoke any English, and had several newly purchased tools straight from The Home Depot.

I didn't think much of it, if they do the job correctly I really don't care.

At the end of the 3rd day (Friday) they were still not finished.  They had all the tile laid, there was dust/mud everywhere so they had not done any cleanup yet.  Installers said they would return on Saturday.  I left things to set over night and went in Saturday morning to examine things.  There was a cracked tile in the door way of one bedroom.

As of 11am on Saturday the installers had not yet arrived, and I finally received a phone call from him stating he wouldn't make it that he had 'family things' to do.  He then handed the phone to his wife to translate for him.  She said he'd be by on Sunday morning at 8am.  I was frustrated at having cleared my Saturday for this and now having to clear Sunday but I didn't really have any other options so we agreed.

Installer showed up at 830 Sunday ready to get to work.  I immediately showed him the cracked tile, and he tried to explain that it was 'hard to do' and that I could get some 'grey caulking' to cover it up.

SERIOUSLY?  You want me to try and hide a crack on the brand new tile? What the hell kind of installer thinks that's a good idea?  I told him it needs to be fixed and left him to it.

He apparently reconsidered his caulk idea and found one of the 2 remaining tiles to cut and fixed it.

They finished up around 6pm but the grout had to dry so I couldn't really see many of the issues until the next day.

Monday I start examining things up close and start noticing several issues.

Grout was obviously done too wet in areas, lots of pin holes, some places where the grout sank down so far there's basically just a gap between 2 tiles.

Grout smeared up against the wall in some places, grout that just wasn't cleaned off the tiles at all in some places.

Found several grout lines with inconsistent thickness, meaning the tiles themselves aren't properly aligned in some areas.

I tried notifying the installer of this Monday morning, and gave him 24 hours to make it right.  He never responded, so as of this morning I have called Express Flooring to register my complaint.  They said to wait for a service manager to call me back.

I will update this review again depending on how that call goes, assuming I even get it.

UPDATE Thursday 2021-10-07: Got a call from the service person today stating someone should be by this afternoon to take a look at the issues.  Will continue to update...
