Russ is awesome!  He was responsive and very professional.  He fixed a variety of issues for me from relatively big (a door had blown off the hinges and damaged the frame) to the small (a loose faucet needed tightening).  He took care of everything on my list and came up with a creative solution for a few other issues in the house.

Russ is a great handyman we just moved into a new house he helped us hanging pictures and tvs along with a gigantic stuffed marlin. He does quality work at a reasonable price I highly recommend.

Hired Russ to do an accent wall with laminate in our master bedroom. He did a fantastic job and even helped us put back the shutters on the windows and helped put back king size bed frame and mattress! The wall mounted a/c in our rental had been leaking behind the wall and some mold had started to grow before we realized. Russ came over - ON A SUNDAY - and proceeded to spend the rest of the day doing custom drywall patching, baseboard replacement, repainting the wall, waterproofing the area, and installing the new unit. It looks brand spankin' new. Russ did top notch work all day, on a weekend. Good luck finding that kind of service.

I was impressed, and brought him out for more work on a different property. He SAVED ME THOUSANDS of dollars in floor prep work that other handymen were trying to get me to do. Russ gave me honest, forthright feedback, rather than take the job and the quick money, because he cares for his clients and understands partnership. I'll be calling him again. And again. We got a chandelier and ceiling fan from my father in law and they needed to be installed in our house.  Russ came over and quoted a fair price and arrived the next day on time to do the work.  He was expert and thorough and did a great job.  No short cuts allowed.  Great work. I'm having him back to build a shed and possibly move some doors and other things we need done.  It is really nice to find someone you can trust. We had Russ come out to fix several broken exterior shutters. I had been searching for months to find someone to take this job on with no luck. When I reached out to Russ he responded quickly and was over the same day to take a look. We had a great conversation and he gave me a quote that was right in line with what I was thinking. We were right in the middle of having a small water leak repaired in the ceiling of our kitchen and Russ gave another competitive price to fix the drywall and paint. Russ did a fantastic job on both fixes and we are having him out again to fix a roof leak that we just discovered after our recent heavy rain. I couldn't be happier with the pricing and the professionalism that Russ provides.

Russ came today to do some plumbing and electrical projects at my home. He responded quickly and is very versed in many areas. I would highly recommend Russ Handyman and Construction.

We had multiple issues throughout the house and had trouble finding a reliable handyman who could solve them. I reached out to Russ and he was able to quickly diagnose these issues and found specific parts for one of our faucets that we could not find anywhere else. If you need a handyman, Russ is definitely your guy!

I contacted Russ through Yelp to remove and seal up two dog doors. He responded quickly and showed up on time to provide a reasonable estimate and time frame. He completed the job within a few hours and exceeded my expectations by also using a texturing spray on the inside wall areas to match the look of the surrounding area. The external walls were patched and are ready to be re-stucco'd.

I was so lucky to find Russ through Yelp. I tried reaching out to few other Handyman for quotes but did not hear back from some and others over priced. Does not sound like much but to me it was something important that needed to be done same day, chirping smoke detectors at home. They were driving me crazy.  Thank God that I was so gifted that he responded so quickly with a reasonable estimate AND available to come out the same day!! He arrived on-time, professional, friendly and can do attitude with confidence. He was able to answer my questions, confirmed estimate and  immediately got started. Within no time he had all 5 smoke detectors replaced, they look great and no more chirping! OMG... Russ is an amazing hard worker, very brilliant and fully equipped for any job. Highly recommend! Russ was amazing! I put in a request on a Sunday. To my surprise I received a response immediately. I had a TV mount that had gone wrong and was causing quite a bit of damage. Russ was quick to come out, fix the wall and mount, and hung a chandelier in my kitchen. He also noticed my front door was incorrectly installed and took the initiative to fix it so it no longer sticks. I cannot thank him enough!

We had a leaky shower and a blown out plug. Randy was on time, respectful, and went way above and beyond for us. He drove out to Cave Creek just to get a different shower cartridge for the job, installed it in a flash, and came back for the electrical work. Russ is terrific.  I had a light with fluorescent bulbs in the laundry room that I couldn't open.  Russ came quickly (on his day off!) and removed the light bulbs. Because I needed to go buy matching ones he came back the next day.  Much appreciated!  He was quick to respond and very efficient at his work!

I can't say enough about the quality work that Russ is capable of. I had a number of projects that I thought I would have to hire four or five different contractors for. Not so. Russ managed to give me electricity in my back porch, fix my door and frame, fix a number of cabinets in my kitchen, and my ceiling lights ... all in about 1.5 hours. He is fast, efficient and super clean. The efficiency and expertise was wonderful. I fully trust him and that is saying a lot after a few terrible experiences with contractors. That's why I had to really take the time and search online and read every single review. He gave me an excellent price too, in spite of crazy inflation prices that everyone else seems to be using  to their advantage. Not Russ. He also pointed out one or two things I should take into consideration for fixing in the next couple of years. Now I want to work with him on my yard. I've seen his beautiful work online and now that I've seen first hand how efficient and capable he is, I'm ready to move onto a larger project. I'm so happy and relieved! Thank you so much Russ!

Reached out for a quote on a wall removal.  We received a reply same day via yelp.  He was out and bid the job within 48 hours.  Very knowledgeable,  very personable.  Will definitely be calling again.

After this guy read my one star review he had the nerve to deny that he was a no-show. I then sent him the text exchange where he agreed with my wife to show up on a particular date and time to review the job. Even after showing him the texts he still denies the conversation and denies having an appointment. Use him at your own risk.

Russ was amazing!! He fixed the issue I was having and some. He does amazing work and will 100% fix whatever the issue is. Great guy!!

Called this "supposed" business owner for some handyman assistance. He claimed he spoke five languages so I assumed he was a great communicator. Unfortunately, that couldn't have been further from the truth. He asked me how 6 PM to 7 PM worked for me and I said fine. He then asked where I lived and I said Casas Adobes. OK, great I will spend an hour cleaning up before he comes over. Later, I looked up his location and it said Phoenix. I'm in Tucson so not sure why he said he would come over between 6 PM and 7 PM. I assumed he might have a worker here or that perhaps he was working in Tucson. I texted him twice with Radio silence as his reply. Is he coming? Is he not coming? Based on his previous reviews it's apparent that his lack of professionalism and communication lacks average standards.  Operating a small business encompasses more than just doing the work. The majority of owning a small business is interacting with people. I would say he gets 2 F's, 1 for a communication fail and 1 for being a flake. Buyer beware unless you don't care about common human decency.

The best in SF. Unbelievable skill and and an amazing guy. He is skilled beyond belief and incredibly fair. We'd never use anyone else for fixes, carpentry etc. He's a phenom.

He's the best around. Here are some pics of the before and after of my place. Cabinets. Painting. He put together ikea furniture for me which I loathe doing. Also he was a general nice man and very trustworthy. I would let him babysit my 3 year old son. That's how much I trust him.

Russ did a room addition to my house, this included interior and exterior doors, foundation, windows and interior finish carpentry work.  He worked hard to get the job done within my time frame.

Russ is great. We had a really small but urgent job - enlarging the wall cabinet opening by about half an inch so our new double wall oven would fit. Russ responded to my request within minutes and he came out and did the job the next day, allowing us to enjoy our new oven. I'd be happy to use him again.

Russ recently repaired a wooden windowsill for us, and the wooden gate that leads to our backyard. Both jobs were impeccable. We're requesting additional work: window screen replacement, the installation of a porch light, and additional outdoor electrical and lighting.

My wife and I reached out to Russ to finish our firebox after we had our chimney removed this summer.  We both agreed that the project was a tricky one but he assessed the work and quickly turned around the time/cost it would take.  

Although his schedule was peculiar, he quickly got the job done and did a great job!  He kept me in the loop along the way and was extremely patient/courteous with my questions.

After the work was completed, I noticed that the power outlet he installed wasn't the correct one.  I reached out to Russ and we quickly scheduled a time for him to come back and fix it.

Russ Is the Man! Hard Worker, Strong Man, And Skillful Worker! Best Handyman And Negotiable Pricing!

It's 2020, the world is suffering and many of us are limited to stay home mostly and perhaps it's time to garden or catch up some home improvement projects. My home only has a front entrance so in order to get to the backyard you have to walk around. So we thought it would be good to open the expand the middle room window into a sliding door. I'm so lucky to found Russ during this time when you are worried about having people over. So he came for a free consultation first, of course wearing a mask! He heard my needs and what I wishes to accomplish so he offered me three different plans with a budget sliding scale. After that I thought through and even got some more quotes from other contractors. Then I realized that not only Russ seems skillful but the price he offered was way more reasonable than other ones(of course I didn't tell Russ, and still tried to negotiate with him). After a week of paying him the deposit, he brought the material and tools and most importantly himself to my house, wearing mask! Within one he cut the door beautifully and installed the new sliding door with a net! Throughout the process I noticed he was very quick and experienced. He was also very good with electronics he moved my cord to the outside of the house wall and I couldn't say more how much I appreciate his wonderful work! And now, we are moving to the next stage of our project which is to build a wooden deck that allows us to rest when we walk out of the middle room to enter the backyard.I would say that Russ is someone who is easy and pleasant to work with and if you happen to need someone to help you to improve your places, it would be fortunate to have him work for you!

I have had work on three separate projects over the past month and a half  and I  have been extremely pleased with his communication ion and ownership of the projects.  He managed all aspects and finished  the jobs with high quality work, cleaning the area after install.  He is creative in problem solving and I will be working with home on several new project

Russ has also done a recent job for us.  He resealed and repaired all our external windows for the house.  He did an amazing job and helped address some water damage issues as well with how water was coming under the sill.  Highly recommended.

Reached out to Russ to take a look at our outdoor grill. He was communicative about time and efficient and friendly. Got the burners to blast again- and did some more thorough cleaning. Works like a charm- let the BBQ season begin ( if Karl ever let's up...)

Had to get an outdoor shower built to accommodate us near the swimming pool. we had a water line already at the spot so we just needed someone to build something presentable and forest/nature looking. looked around and found that Russ has had great experience with wood so we decided to contact him. Very fast respond time and was willing to drive out to Manteca to meet us. Anyways, we are really happy and impressed with the quality of the work and his service. He's a very energetic man and doesn't waste time getting things done. Great pricing and great service. Thank you soooo much Russ. Definitely going to request you again in the future.

I had an issue regarding a faulty circuit breaker, and also with my wall outlets. I sent a message to a few businesses (using the Yelp request a quote feature), and Russ was very quick to respond. Since he was in the area, in between jobs, he was able to drop  by, diagnose the issue quickly, and even did a trip to the hardware store to make sure he could get the right part to fix the issue immediately. That was impressive since I didn't expect it to be fixed the same day. He did this all with a cool attitude and safely (wearing a mask). I look forward to contacting him again for some of my projects around the house and highly recommend him for his services.

Russ was a bit difficult to contact, but in person was very pleasant. Alas, in the end his estimate was 3x that of another equally qualified handyman so I have no direct experience with his work.

Update: Despite his assertions otherwise, Russ did come to my home to review the project, took notes, and told me that I would receive the quote from someone else via email. Several days later I received the quote. Included in the email was a note that the email address from which the quote was sent was not monitored by Russ and that I would need to contact him directly.

It is important to highlight that this review is of the communication with Russ and his price, not of his work. As I mentioned in the above review, because Russ' quote was 3x that of another handyman our business relationship went no further. I would think it in Russ' best interests to (a) accept this review in the positive spirit in which it has been provided, and (b) stop sending me cellular text messages about the review.

Russ gets the job done at a very cheap price compared to other Handymen.  I got quotes for $350, $450 and $520 to install a cabinet hood range fan.  Russ finished the job on the same day in about an hour and only charged me $250. He cleaned up after the job and is very friendly.  Why waste your money? Call Russ if you want someone who is reliable and affordable.

We called Russ to replace our rotten staircases.
It turned out that there was also a structural damage behind the attached wall, which is not easy to fix, in general.
Russ is very pleasant to communicate, hard working and very knowledgeable.  You can tell Russ takes a great pride in his work and that shows in the results!

Russ is absolutely smart, tough and a very reasonable handyman. In my case, my shower cartridge broke into half, leaving one half inside the pipe and other half with the handler just dropped. I had to turn off water for my home for about 2 days. Russ came in and removed the entire piece stuck in the pipe in about two hours. It was really really tough JOB and he did it.  he has all the tools, experience, and skills to get the job done. He not only gets it done but he does it in style. when he got it done he made sure that the whole unit worked properly without any leaks.  He is an absolute go-getter that I would also go to and rely on.

He showed up to take a look at the job, never got an estimate, never responded to my follow up text inquiring about the estimate.

Russ was excellent. My toilet was leaking and needed to be replaced, and when Russ came he discovered that the plumbing fixture itself was also leaking and had to be replaced. He worked quickly to get it done, so it was a minimal hassle for me and the other people in the building (when we had to shut off water to the whole building). He gave a fair rate and did very high quality work. I highly, highly, recommend his services!

Russ is awesome! I contacted him to help install security cameras and motion sensor lights on my home, after I had recently had someone break into my garage.  While he normally doesn't do small jobs like that, he immediately agreed to help to ensure my son were safe and secure in our house.  He did a fantastic professional job and also has a great personality and great service.  I will be using him as my handyman for all jobs he offers services for, going forward!

Russ was very easy to communicate with. He responded very fast and remained in contact throughout. I needed lights to be hung up because we were having a religious celebration. I needed something temporary and did not care much for how well they were hung up so long as they withheld the wind and lasted till the next couple of days. Russ not only replied quickly but was able to come within the same day and was so helpful even making suggestions for how to hang the lights in a more permanent and stable way. The price in my opinion was very reasonable. I highly recommend contacting him for anything you need.

Russ was great! Hardworking, efficient, solution-minded. He helped us stabilize a wobbly loft bed and bolt it to a wall. He was fast and easy to communicate with. The visit, quite, project all done in less than 24 hrs. He wore a mask and was very courteous.

Outstanding work by Russ on my small remodeling project. Responded to inquiry the day of, showed up to look at the site and prepare a quote in the next couple of days. Had to wait a little longer for work to start because of the very high demand and difficult conditions right now (covid etc) but within two weeks he was at work with us. Very invested in the work, offering helpful advice and suggestions throughout. Russ was sending me pictures from the store when picking up materials for the job and paused several times to ask me which solutions I preferred during implementation. He worked very fast (in my opinion), at least once very much after hours to push through, and the quality of the work at the end is really top notch. Russ is also extremely friendly, which does not hurt!

We had a problem with a shower door that had broken due to metal fatigue.  I didn't have much hope that it could be salvaged.  Russ came out and did an amazing job rehabilitating the door and it works better than it did when we moved into this house 21 years ago.  He was reasonably priced,  very polite and considerate and highly skilled.  I'll use him again for handyman jobs

Russ turned our 70-year old garage into a brand new space in just a few days!  Single-handedly (due to COVID) removed the old paneling & cabinetry.  Repaired holes & cracks in the drywall & plaster, including a crack in the ceiling.  Sealed and painted to a beautiful white!  We'll be trying to bring him back for future jobs.

Russ installed a stair railing that had been removed during a flooring project.  It was the type of small job that many contractors don't want to tackle.  Russ's estimate was in line with others and I chose him largely based on other Yelp reviews.  I was not disappointed.  Rather than purchasing or building new railings, Russ examined the original and said that I could save money by reusing what I had.  He worked over 2 days and was very detailed.  There were a couple of decisions to be made and he shared different options for me to consider (without changing he estimate).  It's obvious that he stands by his work which drives him to do a quality job the first time.  I've got a couple of other home projects on the horizon and he will be my first call.  Highly recommend him.

Small to large, Russ does them all. I started small, asking Russ to fix a porch light and hang mirrors; next I moved on to fence repair; and then I had him completely replace my garage roof. The rafters were rotted and the roof was in very poor shape, so the whole top had to go. While working on the roof, Russ noticed some damaged wall beams and a bad section of sill plate and took care of them, too. All of his work was thorough (two foot deep fence post footings!), precise, and careful. My garage hasn't been this sturdy or looked this good in many years. In addition to great work, Russ was always willing to explain options and what he was doing.

If I could give more stars I would.  Russ was the third handyman that came to look at an issue I was having with a casement window. The other people just couldn't figure it out. I almost gave up and just had the whole window replaced. Russ came in and got it fixed within 30 minutes! I am so grateful for the Job he did. The price was very fair and the service was outstanding. I will 100% use him in the future. Thank you again Russ, for your help.

Russ did a great job. He met me at the store. He loaded the couches on his truck. He delivered them to my house. He removed the old couches and took them to the dumps. He set up my couches (electrical).  He was fast efficient. He wore a mask for safety. He cleaned up the space. I highly recommend his work.

Russ worked on my garage, replacing the roof, repairing rotted out wood, and putting electricity in.  Good value, fast turnaround time and dedication to the job.  Russ went the extra-mile when the electrical work was more harder than anticipated, staying late to get the job done on time. After a negative experience with a contractor who couldn't complete our renovation we were left with an assortment of tasks that included drywalling, installing wood trim to a door and window, grouting, painting, leveling a tub and finish tile work.  Russ responded immediately to our inquiry, came to SF to inspect the site and  submitted a proposal the next day. He's not cheap but considering the range of skills required I'd have been hiring multiple tradesman to do what he could.   It took him the better part of three days to complete everything.  (He brought a plumber with him one day to make sure the tub was properly installed and connected).   He demonstrated  versatility and professionalism wearing a mask and observing safety protocols at all times.  I highly recommend him.

We can't say enough about the excellent work Russ does. He was punctual, professional, knowledgeable and reasonable. He was helpful in suggesting different typmaterials as we went along. We'll be ready for our next project soon and will definitely be calling Russ.

The most outstanding service I've experienced with carpentry. I called him and he insisted to help me the same day with a consultation. My consultation was quick and easy with the estimate price being very fair. Set out a day to start and that where the magic began. Helped me choose good options for paint colors and everything I needed to make what I wanted the room to look. My bedroom went from a 5/10 to a 11/10 in the matter of hours in front of my eyes and I'm still on shock on how amazing it turned out so fast. I highly recommend his work 100%
