Bene Electric gave me a quote promptly after I reached out.  He guided us through the entire process if installing recessed lighting inside the house.  The work was started just a few days from when he gave us an estimate, showed up on time, did the job in the time line provided during the estimate and did a great job.  We love the lighting - it transformed the look of the house.  His suggestions to make some minor changes went a long way to improve the house.  Great job!

We have the Winchester Mystery House of electrical wiring (crazy town!).  We've had other electricians in to address specific problems we experienced (all did acceptable work), and have received advice from them to obtain another line from PG&E, install a larger box, rewire the converted barn on our property - some big ticket items.  Our electric bill seems wildly high already, and we'd like to move toward solar.  We decided to have all of our electrical wiring inspected to have a consolidated list of the issues to be addressed in order to prioritize work that's needed.

Called John Hope Electric, based on Yelp reviews.  WOW!  He is fantastic.  Ultra responsive, down to earth, ethical, knowledgeable, efficient.  He was great at dispelling some of the potentially very costly advice others had given, backing it up with practical information and experience.  John is VERY easy to work with and is flexible.  He did an initial review, and we set up a follow up appointment for a full inspection and some work for the more critical areas we wanted handled.

His crew showed up right on time this morning.  They were professional, friendly, hard-working, knowledgeable, and highly efficient.  They had all the tools and components they needed, and were thorough in their inspection and assessment.  They plowed through a mesmerizing amount of work, replacing failed outlets, running new wire, testing, and fixing issues as they went.

We are very pleased and feel blessed to have found this company!  John Hope Electric will be our electrician for as long as we both shall live (or work or own the house.)

Electrical work can be a bit scary. I usually try to do simple projects myself, but when it's not a switch or plug, I start getting nervous. Such was the case with a Sense energy monitor I began to install in my main panel last week. After doing some of the preliminary work, I realized that I was a bit out of my depth.

Based on Yelp reviews, I began to look for electricians in the area. Natalie's page stood out as having good reviews on the value of her work and communication. Both of which, especially the latter, is very important to me.

We scheduled for this morning. Natalie was on time and settled in, wrapping things up pretty quickly. She was friendly, familiar with the installation, and texted me to let me know the project was complete. We tested the sensor, which worked as expected.

I don't love spending money on electrical repairs, but I'm kind of excited to hire Natalie for a future project. Would definitely recommend.

I got 240v and 2 lamps fixed. Excellent work! I would recommend for residential and commercial work!

Paul with Divine Electric helped solve some electrical issues in our home very quickly and professionally. He quickly identified the problem. Then presented several options to consider. He was tremendously respectful of our home (also very friendly with our dogs!). I would absolutely recommend Devine Electric and Paul.

This is now the 4th time i have used Sam aka Alpha General Electric.  He is so concientious and diligent with his work. He is extremely versatile in his skills and being able to handle unusual installations and repairs. Here are some of the unusual projects we have done....

I hired Doug and Cathy for installation of main panel, sub-panel and recess lights. Cathy takes care of scheduling. Doug was very professional and his prices are reasonable. He was on time and finished the work before the scheduled time.

One day after installation of recess lights I started hearing buzzing sound. I informed Doug about it. His crew took due diligence to identify the issue and found it in the lights. Doug immediately bought new lights and replaced all of them.

He also included the installation of CO and smoke alarm with no cost. As I had hardwired smoke alarm and the city asked me to install CO alarm, Doug had bought the battery based alarm and after finding that I had hardwired alarm, he bought a new hardwired alarm and replaced it.

Overall a very nice experience. If you want his services, he is booked 2 months advance and so book him asap and you will not be disappointed.

Also need to mention his crew - Jerry, and Rolando - always cheerful and helping.

Alvaro was very professional and did great work. He fixed a ceiling fan and installed some wifi light switches. I really appreciate that he wore shoe covers in our house and placed a drop cloth down around the areas where he was working.

I have an odd-shaped, loft-style condo with super high ceilings that presented many lighting challenges.  Dave did an outstanding job designing and installing a monorail light system.  He basically had to spend 3+ days on a 20-foot ladder and get the monorail lights to line up correctly in a living space that looks rectangular but is actually slightly curved and wider at one end than the other.  I know that getting it correct was a major headache.  Nevertheless, he was very professional and on budget.  I was very happy with his service and love my new lights and ceiling fan.

Bob is the best electrician I've ever dealt with. He is a real professional and his works are extremely precise. If I need more electric changes in my house, I will definitely ask him again.

I asked Bob to modify 8 cups of recessed lights in the kitchen. There were recessed halogen lights previously and I wanted to install LED ones. He did an excellent job! He removed all existing cups for halogen lights and installed new cups designed for LED. In the process, he cleaned up all existing mess in the ceiling. I love his work ethic to do it rigorously.

Also I like how closely he communicates with customers. During the project, he communicated clearly to me about everything including estimate, schedule, what he is doing, and next steps in text messages and in-person conversations. I always felt I knew what would happen in the next step and what I could expect as a result. I did never need to worry about the project in the process. This excellence is rare in the US.

I had a great experience with Castillo Electric 510-866-4043.
I hired them to add a circuit. They got the job because they were the only electrician to open the face plate on the electric panel and crawl under the house to get a full scope of the project. I got seven local electricians to give me quotes, and some wanted to cut into exterior walls without having even opened the face plate of the electric panel. This guy did a bunch of the electrical work on the KB homes that went up along Mission. Good guy. He tried to return the cash tip I gave him because the amount given wasn't the same as what he charged.

The Hertz electric team were great. They came on time, and got the jobs I had needed done completely perfectly.

I recently did a full remodel of my house in San Jose.    Gustavo, the owner of this business came on site, provided us with an estimate.    My wife made a lot of changes during the work, which they gladly took on.   Modified the estimate slightly and got the work done VERY nicely

Should've listened to the negative reviews but sadly, I thought the 5 star ones might be legit. Now I'm wondering if they're written by friends. After signing contract and having the most difficult time getting a reply from Jim (he seriously LAGS after he gets your the initial deposit in hand), he finally did some work. UNFORTUNATELY, this man does NOT do honest work nor operate in good faith. Work seemed legit when he asks for payment and only after very close inspection and actual use, we realized that was not done correctly and stopped working quickly after he left, impossible to reach or get Jim to come back out afterwards to fix the job. He completely flat out refused and we were stuck hiring someone else from scratch. This company is a fraud. Use at your own risk.
