I phoned Victor on Sunday and he called me Monday to make the appointment.  We are switching our internet from AT&T to Xfinity and needed coaxial cable fished into the wall by the computer.  Victor came out with his son and worked hard to located the existing cable.  He had to spend time under the house finding the cable, cutting the hole in the wall and fishing it up.  He was very knowledgeable and worked quickly and neatly.  I come from a family of electricians (couldn't get one of them to come out!!) so I know that his price was very competitive.  I will call him again if I need an electrician!  Wonderful man.

I was so pleased by the first service I requested from Five or Free, that I called them out to do additional work.  The technician came on time to inspect the area to provide a quote.  He said there might be some issue with what I was requesting (replacing an outdoor sconce with an outlet), but that he'd perform some research and get back to me.  He never got back to me.

So taking the review down from five to three stars, on account of the first service being so fantastic and the follow-up request being mediocre.

We needed someone immediately and owner Juan Marin was there to help!  We called several companies but couldn't get anyone to come asap. High Power Electric took care of us immediately!  When he left we received a detailed explanation what was going on. We will call High Power Electric for all of our electrical needs because Juan was there when we needed him.  Thank you Juan for answering our call!  He's definitely the best at what he does.

This is as good as it gets.  They showed up, did everything we asked, plus more.  They are very professional, knowledgeable and smart with the layout (neat!).  Cheerful and sincere,  I would give these guys the keys to my home with confidence.  I was happy to pay them at the end of the day.

Psssst.  It helps if you clear the area where they will work.  We did this (as we always do) and you should have seen the delight on their faces when they could get to work right away.

I have been planning to install an EV charger outlet. I am an avid DIYer and originally planned to do this work by myself. Due to various reasons however, I decided to find a reputable business who can do this work for me. In short, East Bay Electric has been wonderful from the beginning to the end. To begin with, I wanted to pull a permit, and this company was essentially the only one (among a dozen I contacted around) that was happy to consider this with a very reasonable additional cost.  Jennifer, the office manager, took my request (of several pages long LOL), and communicated to Roger, the owner of this business, efficiently and friendly.  Roger has been extremely helpful: he patiently answered all the questions I had until I completely understood, be it paperwork related items or technical details. He would happily spend an hour in a single call to make sure we were on the same page, without any rushing or pushing. He has been considerate of my budget and made recommendations that may even decrease the price point. At this time, I decided to delay this project a bit (since Roger pointed out something I didn't take into account), but based on my interactions with Roger, I'm sure they are always striving for quality and will not cut the corner, something I really appreciate as a homeowner. In addition, Roger and I happened to have a long discussion on non-work-related topics, and I realized that he is a kind and honest person.

Mark was kind and such a professional. On top of that , he saved us a lot of money! Super cheap compared to all the other quotes we received from other companies.

Very professional business from initial request for information all the way through passing the final (city of Berkeley) inspection.  I initially contacted them via email and heard back within the day.  They helped me figure out what kind of charging station I needed and scheduled my appointment efficiently.  The guys showed up on time and took care of all aspects of the installation.  Kirill followed up for the final inspection.  Overall, very happy with the service and the cost was competitive with others I considered.  Would recommend to others without reservation.

We hired Direct Electric to replace all of our breakers including our main one.    Dave and his crew are awesome!  They show up on time, do quality work, explain things, and are very friendly.  We are very pleased with the work they did and would highly recommend them!

The wiring for my fan and light in the bathroom was messed up so I asked Santiago electric to come service the issue.

Technician (Hector) was great and fixed the problem in about 30 minutes.

I had also asked to have a couple outlets wired for GFCI and the technician did them for an extra charge. Overall I am satisfied with the work they performed and would use them again if there were any other electrical issues.

I also appreciate the follow up call from them after services were performed to see how they could do better and if there was any feedback for them. Good customer service goes a long way!

I highly recommend Ry and his team. I had them come out to install a Level 2 EV charger and some exterior outlets, and Ry explored a number of possibilities since my subpanels were full. For a variety of reasons, we decided to replace the subpanels with a single panel which he and his guys did a great job on. They paid great attention to detail, the EMT conduit done on both sides of the garage were done very symmetrically, and everything turned out very clean. Ry is a busy guy, but his work is well worth it -- I will definitely call him first for future work!

I can only say, what a great company. I had a significant electrical problem that knocked out all the kitchen outlets as well as the dinning area. Art systematically located the problem and diagnosed what had occurred. There was a single wire that failed causing a domino effect. Unfortunately he would have to cut into the walls to fix this singular issue. He gave us a variety of solutions which was extremely professional. He fixed the entire situation and repaired the wall and cleaned the entire area. You would never know any work was done. I witnessed the craftsmanship and care of the work. He was prompt professional and finished the job in record time. It is amazing to find such good work at a reasonable cost. I highly recommend this company.

We just moved into an older house where our dryer plug didn't match up with the wall socket.  My Realtor referred me to one guy who came out and wanted to rewire my entire subpanel which would have started at $$$$...plus getting a permit from the city and possibly having pg&e shut off the power for a few hrs.

I came here and found Dave and decided to call after hearing all the good reviews.  I'm so glad I did.  Long story short, Dave is exactly how the others have described him here.  He fixed my problem in the same day for a fraction of the cost of the first guy.

Definitely recommended and I'm gonna tell my Realtor to use this guy instead.

Lenny is the best electrician my husband and I have come across in the Bay Area. Lenny is professional, smart, efficient, honest, and able to problem solve electrical issues with ease. We needed electrical work to install our HotSpring Spa. We wanted the spa to be installed immediately and Lenny made time for us. I was unaware that the spa would work better if converted to a 230 volt operation from 115 volt. Lenny explained this to me and was able to install with his team without any issues. He took the time to make sure everything was in working order before leaving. We were extremely impressed by his work. His prices are much better than other electricians in the surrounding area. Lenny also took the time to check in the following day to make sure we were happy and everything was still working well. We will definitely be using Lenny and his team for future electrical work. Highly highly recommend.

Micah and his team performed a knob and tube retrofit on my house in 2021. They did an excellent, timely job. I recommend Micah to all of my friends who ask if I know a local electrician.

Good electrical work is not cheap, but you cannot put a price on the peace of mind and safety of knowing that your 100-year-old house will no longer burn down due to shoddy investors who flipped the house before you moved in.

I hired Chris to install a ceiling light in my master bedroom. He is very polite, humble and most importantly got the job done in 15 minutes! He seems very familiar with everything he is doing and has a very reasonable rate. I'd hire him again for any electrical related works.
