Almighty Electric Electrician
Finding an electrician or a specialist for networking gear can be challenging.  Luckily for me, I was able to connect with Felipe from Almighty Electric, Inc.  From our first conversation, I knew I was dealing with someone that was honest, fair, and very professional.

My project entailed installing indoor access points, and one outdoors.  Cutting into sheetrock, running CAT6 cable in-wall, and in my attic is no easy feat.  I knew that selecting the right company/installer would be critical to not only my wireless network but also the overall aesthetics of my home.

After discussing all the logistics of the installation with Felipe, he provided me with a very competitive quote as well as a detailed list of the materials needed.  We agreed on a date and time to kick things off, and the rest is history!  Felipe and his crew arrived on time, executed their plan, and got my network up and running.  They work efficiently and very meticulously.  They covered all of their work areas to make sure my floors were protected at all times.  If you are looking for an honest electrician that does great work, give AEI a call.

JJ Electric Electrician
My refrigerator stopped working. After some investigation I noticed the outlets upstream of the fridge were working and the outlets from the fridge and downstream were not.  Well, it was time to call a real electrician.  I googled 24 hour electrician near me and JJ Electric was the first result in the answer box. It had 5.0 stars with 10 reviews. Looking on Yelp, it had 4.5 stars with 85 reviews, so why not, I gave them a call.

I talked with Jay and described what happened. He said he would send his tech out tomorrow morning. I also added that I would like  to put my fridge on a separate circuit (which is now code). Jay said that he wanted to come out along with his technician, and asked if the morning after would be okay, which was fine. I added that I would like some outlets changed (my house is old and some of the original outlets are loose), and to add another outlet to the same circuit.  He asked me to text him the details and address. Well, Jay did not show up. No call, what happened?  Well, I had texted my information to some other number. I re-texted the info to the right number and called Jay, and we set up an appointment for the following morning.

Jay and his technician, James, arrived on time, and after showing them where things were, the fridge, electrical panel, the outlets, and such, they went to work. There was some head scratching as to where the wires ran from the working outlet to find where the break was. (Nothing is ever as easy as it seems). Jay suggested three ways to go, explaining what he would do, how much wall he would need to break into, or if he could come up through the floor. He recommended that while putting the fridge on a separate circuit to go ahead and put the downstream outlets on a separate circuit too.

At first I thought of just staying with my original plan of putting the fridge on a separate circuit and reconnecting the rest of the outlets back together.  Looking at what was plugged in: a coffee pot, an electric kettle, the fridge, the fan for a fireplace insert, a TV, and Blu-Ray and DVD players, Jay estimated the current of the first three appliances.  I'm thinking that just the coffee pot and kettle could take 80% of the circuit capacity when both are turned on, which they were from time to time, so sure, sounded like a good idea to make separate circuits.

This is when Jay gave me his estimate. I figured that he wanted an accurate assessment of what to do before he talked money.

Jay left while his technician continued to complete the work.  While crawling under the house, James found that mice had chewed some insulation off around some cable, and showed me how he was going to do the repair.

I noticed that the technician, instead of using the back push-in terminals, connected the wires to the outlet's side terminals, which I prefer.  And also he aligned the slots on the screw heads on the face plates, a nice touch.

There is no paperwork. Estimates are verbal, and there was no bill or invoice itemizing the work and costs.

Jay is the first electrician I've used that uses text.  At first I thought it odd, but after this experience, it's the way to go.  There is a record of what I wanted, my address, and when I sent it. It also let me know I sent the information to the wrong number.  I suppose one could argue that had Jay taken taken the information over the phone then I couldn't have sent it to the wrong number, but I've also had contractors lose the information, or have to tell them three or four times what I wanted.

All in all, the repair went well. Life is good and safer.

Five Or Free Electrical Solutions Electrician
The issue was not resolved, but it certainly was for not a lack of trying.  Jonathan on the phone is great and a please to speak with.  I am giving 5 stars because the thing we needed to find (a transformer) was buried deep somewhere in the house.  However, the tech did provide workarounds and an alternative to make things right which is very much appreciated.

They arrived on time.  Provided a text when the technician was on the way, and the tech was very courteous while at my home.

It is always a crap shoot if you are going to get good service, etc.  I am glad Five or Free met expectations.

Hats off to the team.

Can't comment on price/competitiveness as I didn't seek multiple bids. But as far as reliability, responsiveness, and conscientiousness they nailed it.

SJ Rios Electric Electrician
I was looking to do a whole house rewire so I looked on yelp to find an electrician and found Sonny at SJ Rios. He came out and gave me a free estimate. His price was very fair. He discussed with me what exactly he was going to do. The house is about 80 years old and it didn't have an outlet in the bathroom and only one in each bedroom so he explained how he could install one more in each room. The kitchen also had a switch to turn the dishwasher on and off so he removed that and made me another outlet by the sink. He finished the job right on schedule as promised. I am so happy I went with Sonny at SJ Rios and I will recommend him to anyone I know. He was very professional and he cleaned up any mess when he was done. In fact I have a couple of rental houses and I'm going to call him back to take a look at some issues with the electrical at those houses too. This company deserves its 5 stars. Thanks Sonny

GLugo Electric Electrician
Gustavo provided fantastic service from the very beginning with his responsiveness to my yelp messages and willingness to conduct a free estimate that same week. His quote was much less expensive than what I received from other comparable electricians, and I was impressed by his professionalism. I really appreciated the booties and laying down of smocks to keep everything clean. He came back the next week to install a second story ceiling fan (no previous ceiling fixture) and transformer in our kitchen to run electricity to our front porch for a video doorbell. He went above and beyond moving furniture around as needed and completing the transformer installation in difficult to reach cabinets/walls so everything would be hidden. He managed to keep everything spotless and put back in its proper place. He finished the work in one day and the final price was exactly as estimated. We'll hire him again for any future needs since he does amazing work at a great value.

Electro-Integrity Electrician
Todor and crew rewired completely my 100 yr old SF home (4 X 1 bdrm units) to bring up to code for a TIC condo conversion.  This is a job that requires a good understanding of city inspectors and how this whole convoluted process works. It's been a couple of years but we finally finished the rest of the construction and final inspection passed. This was a huge job and tenants were involved and everything was handled professionally.

Matt is very professional and knowledgeable.  He reconnected our sign box, and fixed a complicate issue last year.  After 1/2 year, he even came back to verify and make sure the sign box has power due to other issue.  Thanks, Matt!!

110/220V Electric Electrician
I hired 110/220V Electric to rewire my home and had a great experience! Bart answered all of my questions during the initial estimate, and came back a second time after I wanted a few changes. He was able to get the entire job done within a week!

The pricing is very transparent as well, with each light switch, outlet, room lighting, etc. billed as a separate item.

Brother Electric Electrician
Quick response via Yelp and arrived on time for quote, very reasonable estimate for the work.  Took them a little longer to finish the job but they stick to their quote.  I had a few items to fix after moving into a new home, including a door bell, adding external wiring for 3 ring flood light cameras, and a couple of outdoor outlets for some backyard lights.  I guess I have some weird electrical wiring in the attic so I may have them come back for a second look.  Everything working so far 2 weeks later!

Blessed Electric Electrician
Jacob is highly qualified and passionately dedicated to his craft.

I've had him help me with two jobs at my house in San Mateo, CA now and would recommend him for the quality of his work, his professionalism, and attention to detailed craftsmanship.

We were using an extension cord for our sprinkler timer which was now only a fire hazard, but a tripping hazard with the kids so I asked Jacob if he could install some outlets near the timer using some pre-existing conduit. The results are amazing and Jacob spent quality time to do the job right, going over and above what I expected. Jacob can do both large and small jobs and I won't hesitate to hire him again.

AJ Electrical Electrician
Sunday, Nov. 27, my husband and his dad were drilling a hole to mount our new TV on the wall. While drilling, they hit a wire and our electricity went out. We start calling electricians in the area and it being a Sunday, every electrician is busy or not available. Alex at AJ Electrical responds letting me know he can come over to take a look at the damage. He showed up earlier than expected and ended up fixing our problem. He explained everything he was doing to my husband and we had our electrical problem resolved. Very nice and knowledgeable guy. Thank you Alex for take the time on a Sunday to give us our electricity back! Will definitely use him in the future. Highly recommend!
