We didn't have Mr. Rooter come out, but we called close to midnight for a rapidly and constantly overflowing toilet that was flooding our home. A woman answered quickly and nicely told us she would send someone out to help us.

Sean/Shawn (not sure of the spelling) called us and talked us through the issue. He gave us options of having him come out ASAP or scheduling someone to come out in the morning when it was more convenient for us. He was courteous and very helpful. We'll definitely call Mr. Rooter for any future issues.

I used Alec and was thoroughly disappointed. Alec is dishonest and does not have the expertise or qualification to be a licensed plumber contractor. I used him to find a possible drain clog which required locating the septic tank to determine. I asked Alec in advance if he had the experience/ knowledge with septic tanks and he told me he was very familiar with them. I let Alec know that the septic tank companies had quoted me an hour labor to locate and pump. He told me he could find it fast without a problem. Well, it took Alec 2 days, a total of 7 hours just to find the septic tank and he still could not determine where clog was coming from. First day (3 hours) he could not locate it and said he didn't have the right tools and will need to comeback. Second day (4 hours), finally located the septic tank at the the exact area where I had shown him. After looking at the septic tank he said I should get it pumped because he could not determine if there was a clog or not. He didn't even have a camera for his snake to go into the drain to see. Alec then tried to charge me for 7 hours of labor which I could have had the Septic company do in less than an hour. What a joke! He was trying to charge me for his learning-on-the-job. Unreal! Filed complaint with Arizona Registrar of Contractors. R.O.C. License #243326. Alec needs to have his license revoked and he needs to take some additional plumbing classes. Be careful with this guy. He also has a location in Show Low, AZ.

Our water pressure was low and we realized an exterior faucet was leaking. So we called Roto Rooter, the 2nd time in several months. They sent out Erick, a technician, who couldn't figure out what to do, so he called in a backup. 5 hours later (plus one additional helper), the two installed a new exterior faucet and reset our pressure valve, and handed me a bill for $2,694.74. Of that, $2,400 was labor. I should have refused to pay, but I was an idiot. And sure enough, after three weeks our water pressure was back to its previous cruddy level. RR sent out another technician, who said the pressure indicator showed everything was fine. He promised to come back the next day and monitor the meter in the morning, when the problem typically occurred. He never returned. We then called the City of Scottsdale who sent out a water specialist immediately. He solved the mystery in 5 minutes, realizing it was our water softener. Problem fixed. I am incensed that Roto Rooter would charge this exorbitant rate ($480 an hour!) and not fix the issue. It is apparently one of the most basic water problems seen in Arizona. They seem like a reliable and well-priced service, but in fact they are the worst home repair company I have dealt with in our 10 years in this home.

This plumber has falsified a sewer scope to the tune of over $10,000.00. He was hired by a buyer of a home to scope the sewer and stated there were smashed ABS lines 55ft into the line and he couldn't go any further after 120ft because the lines were so bad. He stated in the same report the repair would be to rip up all of the concrete in the driveway, replace all of the ABS lines and install a salt bed to prevent root intrusion. We've had a scope completed up to 150 feet twice since then by 2 different plumbers and neither of the plumbers saw anything like that. I usually don't write reviews but I should because I myself read, hire and purchase off of reviews. I felt in this case it was extremely necessary so this doesn't happen to anyone else. In all cases, just seek another opinion. Buyer beware of this company!

Our first experience with AAA. I purchased it for my wife, so when I'm out of town she would be taken care of, so I thought. My wife called at 3:30 Pm for a tow truck, nobody came. At 5pm another call waited on hold for 20 minutes, not joking, so they could tell us when truck would arrive. We were placed on a priority list. Sounds good? 6:30 the truck shows up. Not pleased with how they left my wife stranded in the heat for 3 hours, in a bad part of town. Everything closed. Very upset. Wouldn't waste your money.

We had this company do our commercial backflow tests on our two backflows. One failed and they did not provide a bid to repair it nor tag the backflows as inspected. When we contacted them to find out when they were there they gave us a date. In checking our video surveillance their truck was never on our property. He is very rude to talk to and said one backflow failed. As there was another address on the report and no sign of them on video so I had another company inspect the backflows. Both passed with no problem. Maybe they did inspect them, I don't know but I've never talked to such a rude business owner in my life. Told me my annual inspection fee is no loss to his business!
