Best General Contractors in Phoenix, AZ
We called George at Contessa Stone to come give us a quote for a new fireplace mantle and overmantle. He came and looked at the fireplace we had and worked with us on a design that both my wife and I loved. He gave us a timeframe for the stone delivery and the installation and Mario who did the installation of the Stone was really great. He truly cared about the work and took his time to make sure it was done right. The whole process was really smooth and any small issues were resolved very quickly. I would definitely recommend George, Mario and Contessa Stone to anyone.

I've known Tim Mullooly for over 10 years. He built the patio I designed in the picture above for a good friend of mine. In 2009, Mullooly Construction remodeled our house inside while we lived here. He phased the work. Performed very well, and coordinated his subcontractors well. I recommended Tim to several other friends and he did a great job for them too. I even recommended him for a remodel of a rental house our church owns. A couple years ago I hired him to oversee the replacement of our old windows. Tim is honest, completely trustworthy and does quality work. My background was in commercial construction so I know quality when I see it.

How often do people have nice things to say about their contractor? Luke at Vista General is amazing.
This is the second time I've used his company in a major remodel and I'm just as happy as ever. What's more, I've referred other people to hire Luke and they too sign his praises and, I'm told, are hiring him for more work.

We hired Lollis to do an extensive interior remodel on a home we purchased in AZ last fall. We were still living out of state at the time. We flew in, met Randy and Jerrod, got an estimate, picked our finishes and hired them for the job. We hired Lollis to tear out all the flooring and install new tile and carpet, cut down our kitchen island to 1 level and extend the size of the counter, paint all cabinets in the house (kitchen, bathrooms and laundry), install window trim and crown molding, install new 5+ molding in entire house, install new quartz counter tops, do 1 wall of shiplap in the livingroom, build and install barn doors in the livingroom, install all new lighting and ceiling fans throughout the house, install a water filtration system and paint the entire interior of the house (including ceilings). The entire time the remodel was happening we were still living in CO. Lollis is extremely trustworthy and we had no issue turning over the keys to our home to them. They kept in constant contact, sent pictures and updates regularly and checked in with us at each step of the remodel to ensure we were all in the loop on everything happening. We didn't see the remodeled home until the day we arrived with the moving truck to move in. I was almost in tears when I saw the home. The work they did was beyond astonishing. Everything was absolutely perfect. To say they are perfectionists is almost an understatement. Everything they did was above and beyond our expectations. There was not 1 item in the entire home that we had to have them come fix or redo. Not one. It was all done flawlessly. They made what could have been a nightmare and difficult remodel into a dream come true for us. They are a pleasure to work with and the most upstanding, skilled and trustworthy company. After moving in we hired them to do a quick install of a 2nd fence/gate on our property to help keep our dogs from escaping every time someone came by and opened the main fence gate. We also had them install our doggie door. All of this was done with superb quality and attention to detail. Their pricing was very fair and the quality of products was outstanding. Highly recommend them if you are considering any remodeling in your home.

Joel and his team absolutely blew away all of our expectations! We had AZ Studs knock down walls, enclose our patio, add even more square footage, and that was just the first time we used them for a job. I also have to add that he came in at much more affordable than the other two quotes we received, and I would be willing to bet the workmanship was better than anyone else could have done! Since then I have called Joel for numerous handy man tasks, and he has come through for me on all of them. If you have a big job or a little job, Call AZ Studs!

Larry and Joe showed up precisely on time to replace 24 fire sprinkler heads that had been recalled over 20 years ago and not replaced by the previous owner. These two moved through deliberately, carefully and professionally. After they left, you would never know they had been here except for the new sprinkler heads. They answered every question we had, cleaned as they went and kept us updated throughout. Cost was incredibly reasonable. I am not certain five stars is a high enough rating!

We reached out to level up to bid some work for us. They were incredibly responsive, professional, and kind. They treated our family with respect and took the time to explain to us how the logistics worked for paperwork. We were very pleased and impressed with the service they provided.

Rick and his team (Mike and Kerry) were very professional and made my cabinet installation a breeze. Everyone knows remodeling can be very stressful, but these guys really work hard to mitigate issues and have the skill to handle complex installations. I would highly recommend Gaio contracting to anyone looking for a worry-free installation from a company that is trustworthy and qualified.

Honest. Reliable. Professional. Reasonable. And his workmanship is of the highest quality. My wife and I, after meeting with, and getting quotes from, a half dozen contractors, pretty much gave up on the idea of remodeling our house. Three months later, the remodel was complete and it exceeded all of our expectations. A friend had subsequently recommended William Chuck Ahl and my expectations of contractors were forever changed. From the first day he met with us, he was upfront and honest about the potential for our project as well as the challenges that might be faced along the way. His price quote was less than the other contractors yet his vision for the project exceeded anything the other contractors had to offer. One of the best things about working with Chuck was his flexibility and his willingness to make adjustments when it was in the best interest of the project. Along the way he was able to make adjustments to save us money, in other areas he came up with ideas that substantially improved the overall project. When Chuck said he would be at our house on a given day, he was there. When he came across issues in the project, he was honest about the situation, and professional in presenting us with options. Not only was his work of the highest quality, but his prices were fair and reasonable. He kept us updated throughout the project of where things stood with payments and adjustments, and to this day I marvel at the work he did at the price we paid, especially in light of the quotes we were given by other contractors. You can trust Chuck. He's a good man and an honest man. And he does amazing work.

I used Aldana Renovations to do some repairs to my subfloor that had water damage. Andoni came out and did an awesome job of repairing the flooring as reinstalling the laminate above it. His prices were more than fair, he was on time, and worked quickly. I would definitely recommend him.

Our dishwasher failed while we were away and the significant water damage (about which we initially were unaware) not only slowly created mold inside our walls; it ruined most of our kitchen cabinetry. Since our house was built in 1984 the kitchen had been updated but never fully remodeled (including the original fluorescent lighting and drop-ceiling!). We had no intention to undergo such significant a project but the timing would never be better.
Our insurer provided a list of its approved contractors but because the economy is so strong here in AZ, few responded and even fewer provided a bid (of the 18 GC's contacted). During the mold remediation process (a terrible experience we wish upon no one!), we were referred to Copper State Remodeling, a fully licensed and bonded General Contractor. Are we ever grateful!
Mike Byrnes, its owner, came to our home the same day we contacted him and expediently provided a comprehensive bid: Seal the rest of the house off (we lived in it throughout...), repair walls post-mold remediation, demo/remove all cabinets, drop ceiling and equally dated lighting, etc. His crew then installed new drywall/texture, redesigned our HVAC (making it more efficient), fully upgraded LED lighting, painted, and even completed minor structural improvements.
Mike as project manager, most capably coordinated and oversaw each subcontractor, the cabinetry company, appliance delivery/install, and the granite fabrication/install. Each and every individual who came into our home was the utmost in professionalism, competence, consideration, and also friendliness--including being most dog-friendly!
Copper State Remodeling was competitive in its bid. Most of all though, we appreciate the significant added value Mike and his team brought to our home. We're extremely satisfied and fully enjoying our new kitchen and family room--including its previously 'hidden' vaulted ceilings.

We whole-heartedly recommend Southwest Building Solutions. We had never done any type of a detached building before, and the process was smooth and professional throughout. Before we signed anything, they let us tour a few of their recently-completed buildings, which were very well done. Even our subcontractors have given their buildings compliments. Matt and Jason were great, communicated throughout, and we are very happy with the end result. From plans to foundation to final trim, we feel we did great picking Southwest Building Solutions.

After we discovered that annoying neighbors were moving in next door it became a priority to add a level of blocks to our neighboring fence wall. My husband had the idea of us doing it ourselves and after seeing all that went into the job I nixed it real quick! I wanted this job done and finished within the next week. I was referred to David by another Mason and it was a great referral. David gave me the lowest quote and could come in 3 days! They came this morning and laid 80 ft of block, cleaned up and it was done in about 2 hours. They were very nice, professional, fast and got the job done right. I'm happy!

Do NOT conduct business with Trond Matteson. As this point will be taking next steps to move to legal proceedings to recover my deposit that he has refused to give back to me. As other review states, broken promises and more. Very unethical business person. Has broken the documented contract he gave me. He has stolen my money and refuses to give it back. Again I would never recommend anyone ever do business with Trond Matteson ever.
