Best General Contractors in Phoenix, AZ

I found Five40 on Yelp, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the job they did! I live in a house built in 1964, and I was dying to update my out of date kitchen.
Shannon responded promptly and came out to give me an estimate. I got several estimates but I felt the most comfortable with their vision and having them in my home. The crew showed up on time every day and kept me up to date on changes as they arose. I hear so many horror stories about home renovation projects and i am so happy to that i didn't have to deal with that! The guys did an amazing job! They were professional, courteous and understanding of all my concerns! My new kitchen looks amazing! Thank you FIVE40 and thank you Shannon for understanding my vision and helping me to bring it to life! I love my new kitchen!

I just can't say enough good things about Bobby Campbell and his contracting company, Campbell Contracting. He and his crew really did an outstanding job of resurfacing my pool and putting in a new cool deck. I just moved into an older property that had a large diving pool that was shot. I literally could not dip my toe in the pool until it was resurfaced. I chose a pool contractor who had a cutting edge 3-D program that showed my pool exactly how I wanted it and sold me on it. (All show and no go!). After hiring him on, he subbed the job out to Bobby and told him I needed to get it done before the friends and family Open House I was planning at my new place. Well, my hired on Pool Contractor disappeared (his review to follow!), but Bobby got the job done....at least the part he was hired to do. He had 5 guys here round the clock and the finished product is absolutely gorgeous. I am so pleased and would refer Bobby in a heart beat. I felt bad after the job was done, because the General Contractor I hired gave him a bogus check!!! I absolutely would recommend Bobby and Campbell Contracting to anyone looking for any kind of remodeling job. They are first class and get the job done!!!

Oron and his crew completed a window replacement/stucco repair project on my home. They were subbed by Andersen. It took a few days because of the large amount of work that had to be done, and it came out great. Oron was attentive throughout the project to ensure my satisfaction, held to his schedule, and made sure it was done to his requirements.

Patrick completed a very complex remodeling job for us that required exceptional electrical and carpentry skills.  Our great room now oozes style and class and has left us with an abundance of space.

I did not have a positive experience at all with Gurr Brothers. I had a water damage issue in my home that involved two levels of needed repairs. They were recommended by a local restoration company that uses them for the rebuild.
Someone showed up promptly for a walkthrough and a quote was provided to me and my insurance company a few days later. The insurance company approved it shortly after. So far, so good. An appointment was set up to begin the rebuild. They were a no show. A second appointment was set up. They were a no show. Neither time did they give me a phone call or email to tell me about it. They had a down payment from me and I was told that they would reverse the charge when I called and said I was pulling the contract for their lack of response . That never happened. I had to call my credit card company to have the charge put on hold and then the credit card company's fraud department had to do all the leg work to get them to finally release the funds back. This wasn't a small job where in the past I have been passed over because the contractor found a better opportunity elsewhere. This was simply a poorly run organization. Fortunately, I found a responsive contractor and the repairs were made in a timely fashion without all the headache.

Alex and his crew did 2 bathrooms for us.  Main and Master.  Both turned out just beautiful (IMHO).  Alex communicated with me promptly throughout the entire process.  He showed up when he said he was going to and worked hard to get the job completed as promised.  I would recommend him and his crew to anyone!

We didn't choose Atelier eventually because of availability but he showed on time for his quote, was very patient and took notes and measurements. He called later and apologized for his lack of availability.

The tile and plumbing job for a remodeled bathroom was completed with precise attention to detail. The prep, and installation of both floor and wall tile were professionally completed. The project remodel looks like the way it should be, Brand New. Wonderful service, and came to work in a timely manner as promised.

This company did a great job on our rebar. They were quick with their estimate and professional. The crew that came to do the work was very friendly and kept my yard clean. I would highly recommend.

What a beautiful remodel. Our bathroom was octagon shaped from the 90s and completed outdated. Urban Element did an amazing job updating not just the master bath, but the closet and gave us a beautiful laundry room our home did not have.

PLEASE NOTE:   Although my primary home is in the Tacoma area, this posting is about our second home in Surprise, AZ.

I wanted to do an widening of my backyard sliding glass door from 6 foot to 9 foot wide.   I am new to the area, so didn't know a guy, but stumbled across Joe and Efficient Home Pro.   Joe came by and looked at the project and after talking to the window manufacturer, gave me a firm, fixed price for the project.   Now this involved removal of the old slider (with unknown issues about how it was installed), a new laminate header beam, new slider, and fix the outside stucco and inside drywall like it was original.  A complex project for sure.

I had the pleasure of working from home (thank you COVID-19) while Joe and team did the project.   I am pretty handy with home projects, so watched with interest as the team did their work.   I have to say that I have never been so impressed!   There were several points where key decisions had to be made and each were discussed, rationalized, and then acted upon.   To tell a long story shorter, they executed this transformation flawlessly!

But here is the best part.   Not only did they do the hard stuff with precision, but they also did the small stuff perfectly.   Every final opening was sealed with insulating foam, every piece of stucco was replaced and textured like it was new, and on the inside, it was impossible to tell that any work had been done (outside of paint).   And even better, the work space was cleaner than when they arrived.

Over the course of the project, I got the chance to talk to Joe about all his company can do, and I can say with confidence, that I now have a Have a Guy.   And for far more than just windows.   Next step:  Replace the AC unit.

Red Rock Contractors redid our pool heaters, controls and some plumbing.... Superb job, done very efficiently, on time, at a fair price. They are extremely knowledgable in the world of water and pools and suspect a whole lot more. I recommend him to anyone that wants the job done right, the first time. I would hire them again, in a heat beat, if needed for any type of water project

Chad is amazing! I don't even remember how we found him initially because it's been so long that we've been using him. He's done several projects around our house and is one of the only contractors I trust to do the job right. There have also been times I couldn't be at home and there is no issue with trusting him alone in the house.  We've worked with several contractors before we met Chad and there is almost always something that they don't do quite right or some way they've cut corners. That never happens with Chad. He is meticulous and does exactly the job you've hired him for. We've even started using him for projects at both of our businesses because he's so awesome. We can't recommend him enough!

This company is amazing!  I needed to get my father's home fixed up prior to him coming home from the hospital and was on a short timeline.  They were able to get all accomplished within that timeframe.  The contractors they sent were true craftsmen and paid close attention to the details.  I will use them again and recommend their flooring installation services.

I contacted Geremey due to an aging roof that was in desperate need of repair. I contacted 3 different companies, all who wanted me to wait for a few weeks just for them to come out. With the rain we've had, I couldn't wait that long. Geremey was very responsive and understood my needs. He came out that afternoon and had the job done quicker than I anticipated. My neighbor is a home inspector and he even said this is one of the best roofs I've seen. Needless to say, if you need a roof and need it done correctly, Geremey with Elite Construction Services should be your go to!

We've hired Derek for multiple projects in the last two years - ceiling retexturing and finish from water damage 10/18, resurfacing of ceiling/wall and flooring replacement 7/20, full shower remodel 8/20. All his teams were very professional, polite and mindful of our pets not getting loose. Derek is a pleasure to work with and very competitive with his pricing. We're very happy with the quality of the work and the timeliness of the completion. We'll definitely be hiring him again in the future when we're ready for our next project.

Rise above did an amazing job for my clients. As a Realtor, it is hard to find a company that you can trust to get the job done right and on time. I love what they can do to update bathrooms and kitchens. Their quality is amazing, they really listen to the specific needs of each  customer, and have great customer service. While researching pool builders we found Peak One Builders and Restoration; Peak One Pools and Backyards. Upon meeting with Mike, the owner, we immediately felt a connection with him and knew he was the one to build our pool. Mike and his entire staff not only met, but exceeded in building our dream pool and outside bathhouse. Their attention to details, no matter how small, was outstanding. We have had nothing but compliments on the beautiful work that was done.
We were so pleased with the work on the pool, we turned to Peak One again, to turn our current garage into a rec room and building out a new garage. Once again from the start our vision was met and exceeded in the construction. Yes, there were some delays in getting the project completed, and it took longer than anticipated, but the final outcome was well worth the wait. We couldn't be more pleased with the work that was done.
During both projects, the workers were courteous, made sure the yard was cleaned up and all garbage thrown in the dumpster. It was a pleasure to talk to and work with them all.

What a great experience with Retro Pro!  Did a bathroom remodel and it was a very smooth process.  The entire team was extremely professional.  Will definitely turn to them for any future remodels!!

Strangely, my wife's review was in the non-recommended area.  In any case, I've posted our bathroom photos, the workmanship speaks for itself.  

Mike and his partner did all the tile work, plumbing, electrical and some touchup painting themselves, no subcontractors - with the exception of the glass shower wall/doors, which everyone subcontracts.  Overall, we are VERY pleased with the outcome.

They were on time every single day and completed the project in just under the estimated time of two weeks.  Would have finished even sooner, had the shower door people not needed about a week and a half after measuring (pretty standard - we had a different contractor do our other bathroom and it was a two week wait as well).  
As said, a great job and we plan to call him about our kitchen, hopefully late this year, finances permitting.
