Best General Contractors in Phoenix, AZ

I was moving my salon to a bigger place with the same landlord. So they only give me a very short time to fix up the new place and give the old one back. I found Skyler on yep and explain my situation. He did the cabinets in less than 2 weeks. They came out great. Definitely recommend  this company.

We recently moved to Scottsdale and needed some work done in the home that we bought.  Our son had used Rob and JVR and suggested we give Rob a call to give us a quote on our project.  Rob visited our home the next day and had a quote to us in 2 days.  We used 3 different sub-contractors to complete our project.  Each contractor was prompt, clean, easy to work with and completed the job in a timely fashion - and we were happy with all of the work that was done.  I highly recommend Rob, Chrissy (the scheduler) and the JVR brand.  They are very competitively priced and do good work.  Thank you, Rob, for working with us in up-dating our home.  You have our future work!

Chris converted our den into a bedroom by framing in an open door way and installing a sliding barn door.  He matched everything perfectly and the house looks like it was built this way. We are very pleased with the quality of the workmanship and attention to detail.  If I had any complaints it is that it took awhile to get on the schedule to get the work done (more than 6 weeks).  Fortunately, we weren't in a hurry to get this done so the extended timeline was a minor inconvenience.  I would use Chris again for future projects.

Very professional to say the least. family owned business thats professional and personable is hard to find. They came out and gave a free estimate in a timely manner. They were actually ahead of schedule to finish the projects. The workers were friendly and professional. The owner Youssef even reached out to me to make sure everything is to my demands. There aren't enough stars for AZ Dynamic Builders. Seriously, they are the absolute best. In the last month or so AZDB handled two projects for me -- both were replacing vanities and light fixtures in bathrooms. In both instances there were unforeseen complications -- plumbing fixtures, incorrect shipments from manufacturers -- beyond their control. These guys didn't blink; they walked me thru the issues and the possible solutions, then adjusted on the fly. They never even considered throwing in the towel and saying, Hey, not our problem. Requests for estimates and scheduling are handled promptly, and the guys couldn't be nicer or more capable. Do yourself a favor and hit them up for your next project -- you'll be very glad you did.

I might be too upset when I made that review. I had higher expectation for you reading all the great reviews in Yelp. In fact, had I not read those reviews, my experience would be neutral. As I put all this down, I am calm this time.

I met Ed Krolak and his team when I purchased my home in anticipation of a complete remodel. Two words to describe EJK Construction: quality and integrity. Ed was generous with his time and knowledge right from the beginning. Once we officially began the remodel and started tearing out walls, that did NOT change! Ed, Brian, and Eddie were with me every step of the way! They allowed me the space and time to make important design decisions, all while keeping the overall project moving. The inevitable challenges were handled quickly and with appropriate urgency.

The remodel turned out better than expected and I couldn't be happier! I consider Ed and his team part of my Arizona family and would use them again in an instant! In fact, I will be working with them on an outdoor living area project... which I am confident will be just as stunning when finished!

First of all, I will say that we are not yet finished with our Carefree, AZ remodel. Completion will be in early October and I will follow up with more then, but I think my experience so far is important to publish.

I contacted Mike George at the recommendation of another professional in the Phoenix area. I asked him to come and walk a property that I was buying that needed some updating here and there. Well, a little updating has come all the way to a full kitchen remodel (down to the studs and bare cement), new flooring in a few rooms, paint on every wall, walls were taken down, fireplaces completed remodeled, etc. It's BIG job in anyone's book! I will also tell you that this is not my first remodel. I've redone about a dozen homes, so I have a fair amount of experience, good and bad, with general contractors.

So, what can I say about Mike George and George Construction? He is the consummate professional. He commits and delivers. He is a man of few words. He listens to his client and doesn't always say yes. That's important because, in a remodel, the worse outcome is tearing something out and then realizing that it shouldn't have been torn out at all because the vision cannot be realized. He is not always the cheapest route but you can trust that if he says it will happen, it will.

For me, time is part of the spec! Sadly, on this project, I'VE been the one delaying the project, not George Construction. They work quickly, they keep the job site tidy, and when you walk in during a work day, you are likely to see 10+ people working in various rooms at the same time. That's a pretty tough challenge - directing multiple projects in one space so that the work gets done without interruption. I am not sure how he keeps the subcontractors so well organized but it works!

I highly recommend working with George Construction. More to come when we finish our super not-so-tiny (!) project!!

I worked with Q and used him repeatedly on a number of projects. Very dependable and great construction services. Always shows up when promised and finishes on time. Great service and reasonable pricing. Highly recommend!

I just had Bill and his crew work on my ceilings yesterday and today. Totally pleased with the results, but also all other aspects he does business. He communicated clearly and worked in a timely manner and with an exceptional level of care and cleanliness. He only took payment once project was completed and I was able to give my complete approval. His crew were very nice, respectful, and just as good as him when they did the texture unsupervised for a couple of hours. I regret not calling them the first time, but Bill was so helpful to ease if not erase the trauma by repairing and resurrecting my ceilings. Oh, and when his buddy told him that I was outside having problems starting my car, he offered me to take his truck so I can drop my son off to school. I cannot thank him enough for his business and kindness. I have more projects in the future that I want him to work on.

Katherine, one of the owners, wrote me back immediately, we conversed, and she offered a free consultation for an estimate. She arrived with her staff in tow at the appointed time, fully prepared to address every concern I had previously discussed with her on the phone.

From the onset, I knew I was in competent hands. Canterra Construction was diligent throughout the entire process. Even when the shed arrived earlier than expected, I shot Katherine an email, and she was quick to accommodate the schedule change with an immediate start date. Summer is coming and we all know it's going to get really hot! Insulation in my attic has been on my mind and I reached out to Insulation Contractors of Arizona to see how it will work for pricing and timeline. They were extremely responsive on Yelp, got an estimate quickly and was able to be booked the same week. Got to love that quick service!

When they showed up the day of, they explained to me on to let me know what they are going to do, how long it will take and to even answer some of my silly questions on the process. They finished the entire job under two hours and even cleaned up any mess they left. My attic now looks like a winter wonderland and hopefully my house will be extra cooler this summer. Highly recommend them for insulation! Great job guys!

I needed a new contractor to do some renovations on our new home so we turned to Yelp and and found shepherd contracting. We used Thomas and his team when my new home needed some updating. The communication was above and beyond. We love our new bathrooms and will post updated photos soon!

His work is outstanding. Finds the problem and fixes it. Would recommend him to anyone needing some home repair. I would not use anyone else. He installed a new engineered wood floor in our home after removing outdated tile flooring. Excellent job and well done. He also replaced rotted facia boards. A great person to fix your homeowner problems.

Very happy with Rhino Construction and already thinking of more projects, now that I have found a reliable, professional, and courteous licensed contractor.
Was contacting Licensed Contractors for a couple of small projects that were beyond my abilities when I came across Rhino Construction, their response time was quick, the estimator's site review was scheduled, and the estimates came in close to what I was expecting.
The roofers arrived early on the agreed-upon day for the work to start, they were done fixing the broken tiles, replacing the cement caps, striping off the flat roof over the patio, replacing the dry rotted fascia boards, and gone by early afternoon.
While the roofing team was busy working away, the site supervisor showed the carpenter the work to be done inside.
By the end of the week, they were painting, cleaning up, and checking for any loose ends.

We added a bathroom with an outside entrance so there wouldn't be a wet trail from the pool through the house. We also remodeled our kitchen and laundry room. Not having a place to cook or wash clothes for months is no fun. As a result, I kept the pressure on. No problem for McCurdy. The workers were conscientious professionals and so were the subcontractors. We were always able to connect with project managers. They even sent an email every night describing what the crew would be working on the following day. Best of all, the finished product is top-notch. People who knew what they were doing installed the cabinets, countertops, floor and bathroom tile, lighting, plumbing and the finished painting. No detail was too small to be addressed. And the project came in on budget!

Danny of Solid Home Renovations quite simply does WHAT he promises to do, WHEN he promises to do it, and is ready to correct anything that isn't exactly right (which doesn't happen often).

He responds to phone calls and texts quickly. His prices are fair and competitive.

We just had him complete our second (much smaller) project and we can't say enough great about him and his crew and the results he delivers.

I was hesitant at first to go with Zobec because they are new to Yelp and had no reviews when I decided to schedule them. Donnie said they have not been on Yelp and are just starting out (not in business, but Yelp), but would love to win my business to show the community what great services they offer. I am happy that I took the chance and went with them. I am very pleased with the work and transaction that took place with Zobec Construction.

Donnie was very knowledgeable and transparent. They had the fairest price in town and when the scope on the work changed to include much more work, the estimate did not change. I was shocked!! Most companies are looking to add on whatever they can to get more money, not Zobec or Donnie. I felt that he really cared and wanted to get my project done with the utmost professionalism and pride of ownership. It was really refreshing to see such integrity in a company, and especially for such a small job accordingly.

I had some issues with my roof that I needed some specific repairs and then I needed it to be documented in a way that would show the buyers of my home progress of said repairs. Donnie took photos of before, during, and after. He compiled these photos on the invoice so that I could present them to the buyers agent and instill confidence that the repairs had been completed per our contract. I was very pleased as this service was over and above what I expected. He really understood what was needed and delivered on all accounts. Way to go!

Donnie was communicating with me over the entire project being very transparent and concise. He was early to all appointments and did exactly what he said he was going to do; this company is a rare find indeed.

Mark, Jack, and the team at Lifetime remodeling did an amazing job replacing our floors. They were not only quick, but did quality work!

Alex and his crew did a garage conversion plus addition for us.  They turned a 2 car garage into a gorgeous 1000 sq ft apartment with 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, a full kitchen and a laundry room. Their attention to detail and creativity was apparent at every step, and the end result is beautiful.  I went into this project with much trepidation, having heard stories about how awful it can be working with a general contractor. It is wonderful to have found the exception.
