I am in the Solar Industry. One of our customers had Attic Vents throughout a roof, limiting us from installing panels.
Our design team determined we could relocate the vents, offer more panels, and Jeff & Alan Proctor inspected the roof, determined where we could place them and took care of this for us.
Our company, and, our now mutual customer, were very satisfied with their service.

I got lucky finding this guy!!!!
I needed walls and floors replaced from an old roof leak. He was also skilled to handle a hidden water leak in the laundry room.
Come to find out, George is more than just a handy man. He's a professional contractor with lots of experience building houses.
Extremely impressive with how quick George responded to my request. George is assertive, responsive, friendly, and knows what he is doing. He is accommodating and helpful. He also helped me move some items in my house. Just an overall great and trustworthy guy.

We have a 1953 'pyramid shaped roof' slump block ranch style home with a couple of newer 'flat roofed' additions. We had layers of distressed shingles, some rotted fascia wood, rusted and dented venting and a huge water retaining dip in one of the additions. C & H fixed it all with new painted galvanized fixtures and wood, be it plywood or 1x6's. We even tested the dip using a hose on our new roof - its GONE!
Nick High (Owner) stresses quality work and products when he talks to you and it shows up in the finished product. He checks back after the work is finished to be sure you are satisfied. He was easily reachable to answer questions and really understands Sonoran Desert roofing. His fair pricing, honesty, scheduling flexibility along with friendly tear off and finishing crews made the trauma of home repair almost fun.
C & H's roof crew arrived prepared on time each day, communicated well, were skilled, worked hard and cleaned up before they left EVERY day. The new roof looks great and water no longer leaks in around our addition's roof vents either. I highly recommend C & H Roofing if you're looking for a good local Arizona company.

Provided very reasonable estimate for my small 10x16 shed. Finished the job the following week. Excellent workmanship and fully satisfied with results.

We recently purchased a foreclosure property where the water heater had burst, causing damage to the stand and drywall surrounding the water heater. The bank replaced the water heater, but refused to repair the damaged drywall and it quickly became laden with mold.
On a referral from our Realtor, we hired Wayne Glashagel (Owner of AMA Contstruction) to repair the water heater stand and surrounding drywall. Wayne drained the water heater, disconnect the copper pipes, remove the water heater, tore out the water heater stand, sprayed Killz on the moldy areas and rebuilt the stand from the ground up. Afterward, Wayne reconnected the water heater to the plumbing.
Wayne was very courteous and professional, arrived early for the appointment and did a fantastic job on the repair of the water heater stand. It looked brand new and the drywall texture matched the existing texture perfectly.
I would highly recommend Wayne for any general contract work.

We worked with Brandon and Jason and they were awesome! Fortress was recommended by USAA for our home repairs. We hired them to replace our roof, paint the exterior of our house, install a ceiing fan/ight fixture in the living room and completely re-do our kitchen lighting. They worked with us as we waited for our home equity line of credit to come through and then promptly got the work started. They were patient in working around our schedules and waiting for us to make up our mind about what we wanted. They were communicative throughout the entire process and wanted to make sure we felt comfortable with everything throughout the entire process. We hope to do more updating in the future and wouldn't consider using anybody else! Highly recommended!

About 6 months ago we had our 30 year old bathroom remodled by this company. I was so impressed I have told several of my friends about them. First off, I am not a designer of any kind and not at all current on the newest trends in decorating. The owner of the company told me to go to a few differnt wholesale places to look at tile, sinks, faucets, mirrors, medicine cabinets etc.He met me at one of the places to get the sinks, tiles and faucets. I am on the frugel side and he understood. I was attempting to do a tile design for the bathtub area, I had selected mostly things form the clearance area. Long story short, he helped me pick the tiles, some of the clearance tiles I picked didn't have enough tiles. So he showed me some others that were not that much more and it turned out better than I expected. I am a person that uses coupons and always tries to stretch my dollars as far as I can. I had picked out a standard sink and faucet-of course I went for the lowest price. He was pretty straight forward when he said, That style is way out of date and it doesn't really go with the style you said you want. He showed me some on top if the counter sinks, that were actually a good bit more money and the faucet I picked didn't work with the counter top sink. As I was looking at the displays, I knew he was right. I had been looking at Home Depot and Lowe's for a few years to get an idea what I wanted. I didn't see the cabinets or medicine cabinet anywhere else. He ordered the stuff from Lowe's for me. So now we had all the stuff to start the work. Each day they arrived on time, I work from home, so I got to see how the whole thing went. THe leader guy, Brian was very picky, which I think was a good thing. One day, Brian arrived a bit before 7 am and stayed outside, at 7 he came in and started working alone. About 10 minutes later another worker came, I could kind of overhear their conversation, Brian was very clear, but not mean, when telling the guy, it's not okay to be late, we made a promise to start at 7 that means get here before 7, start working at 7. The worker said something about his daughter and Brian just said, call me and tell me so I know. I was very impressed with the level of professional service and the care they took to make my bathroom look so great! I am so proud of our new bathroom, everyone compliments the sinks and the amazing tile design. This bathroom would look great in a model home. They did the job in exactly the time frame they said. The only negative, is one of the workers got some stuff on the carpet in the hallway, they did have the whole area covered in plastic, so I'm not sure how that happened. He tried his best to clean it, we need new carpet anyway and I can't even see it now. I wasn't that mad, because he showed it to me and aplogized and it's old shag.

We put down a $2,500 deposit for Alternative Portable Buildings to install an 8x14' shed on our property. The person we were told would be building the shed was recovering from hip surgery, so we waited a few weeks for his recovery prior to the installation being scheduled. Having worked in the insurance industry for 15 years, I know the risks associated with having work done on your property and know you want to ask for proof of insurance (the document is called a certificate of insurance and is typically readily available in the construction business). He responded, and I quote, You can get someone else to build you're shed. If you need proof of insurance, find someone else. I'm not doing it. And then he hung up. I was absolutely flabbergasted. I gave him a couple hours to calm down and called back -- first to apologize for offending him (though the conversation certainly raised all kinds of red flags) and then to explain the reason insurance is important. If the person doing work on your house gets hurt (and our builder had just recovered from hip surgery!) and they don't have business insurance, you can be legally responsible, and many homeowners policies will not cover someone doing work on your house. However, he never even gave me a chance -- he said I don't want to do your job; I refunded your money. And he hung up again! I checked my credit card multiple times, and the refund of the deposit hasn't hit, but we shall see. I feel confident that the credit card would fight it on our behalf even if he didn't refund the deposit, so I'm not too concerned about that. And I'm thinking we dodged a bullet because this is obviously not a reputable company. We originally found them through their positive reviews on yelp, but now I'm wondering if their reviews are from friends and family!! I can't imagine that hostile of a personality getting positive reviews. However, he did just recover from hip surgery, so maybe that's a factor. Or maybe he's just covering for not having business insurance. Hard to say but regardless, now that the initial blow of the frustration has passed, me and my husband feel content - bullet dodged. Imagine if we had to call about an issue AFTER he had installed the building?! Or God forbid he did get hurt while constructing the structure?!

We were looking forward to using the Windsor window products in a reno project. If the quality and service were there we were going to give them first opportunity at the new home and shop project in the Foothills. The response to my call was good and he 'seemed' quite accommodating. When it came time to get them our cashiers cheque for the required deposit, the salesman became quite the wise ass! We've been in business ourselves for a number of years and I don't recall anyone speaking to me like that before! The cheque went right back into our account. A shame really.

As a proud Veteran of the US Navy I feel scammed as I lost $18,000 in earnest money in my attempt to purchase a home from Meritage using Veterans First Mortgage, a subsidiary of Wintrust Mortgage.
I submitted over forty documents and paid all the earnest money only to be told that my loan was denied the day after my projected closing and that I'd loss ALL of my earnest money in the sum of $18,000.
I feel like this process was a total scam and now have approximately a week to find somewhere to live as I let my lease expire expecting to have a new home to live in.
One of the great benefits of serving in the military was to take advantage of the well earned VA home loan but now I have no desire to attempt to buy a home ever again and risk losing my life savings a second time.
The worst part is that I was told that not only would I not get my earnest money back but that Meritage is going to raise the price of the home by $20,000 before putting it back on the market. Meritage seems to be the biggest winner in this process.
This NO way to treat our Veterans! I did everything in my power to meet the requirements for my VA Loan. I should at least get my earnest money returned so I can continue my pursuit of owning a home and not have to spend years saving up to start this process again.

I hired Wendler Construction to renovate my home, he in turn hired D and J Construction to frame parts of the original house, an 800 sqft addition and garage. They did a horrible job... they used 2x4's when the plans called for 2x6's, used wrong footings on the front wall of the house, used wrong calculations on the truss fabrication thus not allowing enough room for the hvac duct work, and had to reframe interior walls and a new skylight, which they did wrong resulting in having to purchase a custom skylight. Wendler Construction's lack of experience, skill, and ability to manage my renovation, caused over 5 months of delays and tens of thousands of dollars in additional costs. And then halfway thru the project, right after Christmas break, Wendler Construction quit on me. After almost a year in construction, I am still finding mistakes made under Wendler Construction's management. I would not recommend them.

This contractor installed French doors at my house and they now leak. When I called the owner he told me he is kind of not in business any more. I am sure he would be in business if I would have been calling with a new job for him.
