I had a really wonderful experience with BBG for my kitchen remodel. They were very attentive and willing to answer any questions I had.

I'd requested bids from a few other places and I felt like I was being pushed into the same cookie cutter design choices for nearly twice the cost. Jason understood my ideas and helped me find ways to acheive the look I wanted that fit within my budget. This kind of personalized professionalism is rare these days and I am so happy I found Built By Grace.

When they were in my home they were respectful, clean and trustworthy. They arrived on time and the project was completed on schedule. Don't know how else to say it, but I was more than impressed through and through.

Needless to say, when I am ready to tackle my master bathroom I will definitely be calling them again.

We are very happy with the work that Built by Grace did. We have used Jason for three home renovation projects and are extremely pleased with all of the work. Contacted them initially by phone and they told me I had to submit a quote form to get an estimate, they wouldn't go over anything with me over the phone. So, I then submitted the generic quote form on their website, asking about having a couple different jobs estimated out for me. They responded by a short email saying simply and quite rudely that my price range would be a waste of their time. It forces you to select one of the offered price ranges on the quote form, so I selected one. I had meant the price range for one of the jobs, not for all of the jobs mentioned in the comments. Instead of asking me any more questions to get more specifics they simply responded to the quote form by saying I wouldn't be worth their time. NICE. Just some advice, pick the highest price range option on the quote form if you want them to actually respond to your inquiry.

Just needed what I thought was a simple replacement but apparently it couldn't be done in the budget I entered on my quote request. Instead of asking for more details about exactly what was needed, was asked if my budget was flexible because they didn't want to waste time. Seems like I wasn't worth getting a little more info from. Luckily I found another company that asked more questions and provided more options instead of just asking me to be flexible with my budget.

Giving this company this rating since one of the trucks (with a male driver) tried to run me + kids off the on ramp to the 101, rather than let us on. Not exactly the kind of company I'd welcome into my home.

I called Built By Grace in July 2016 and Bill came out to do a number of projects we needed done. He was timely, professional,a perfectionist and my wife and I couldn't be happier. We will be calling back as we still need somethings done in our house. Highly recommend!!

I wish I had more to say about BBG but apparently they are doing so well they do not need new customers.

I had seen their truck around town and found their card in a local paint store. Called or emailed them several months ago for the first time and got no response. Someone handed me their card again several months later and I called again and left a message - this time they called back and scheduled an appointment and Jason came out - on time - to discuss the work I wanted.

I THOUGHT that was a good sign, but apparently not, He said he would be back in touch in a few days, that was over one week ago. I am not in a rush to have the work done, but it would be nice to know if they are ever going to come back to me (guessing not).

All it takes is a simple phone call or email to say hey, we are swamped right now, are you in a rush? We have not forgotten about you and will get back to you. Instead, complete silence. I like to support local companies but I guess this one is doing so well, they do not need my business.

I filled out the online quote request for a large remodeling job at our house. It included enlarging a bedroom, or potentially adding one, and converting our carport into a garage. I missed a call from Jason the next day. He sounded nice enough. I called back and left a message with Bill. No return call. I called the next day. Again Bill answered and said he'd relay the message to Jason. No return call. I called one last time and still couldn't get through. Then I realized if I were hiring these guys I would really want them to be more accessible and willing to talk to me. It was horrible business practice and first impression. I would have probably have used these guys for the house we are trying to sell and the next one that we are soon buying if they had been reliable.

I recently called and spoke to Bill about obtaining a quote for replacing two exterior doors on my home. He told me it would be an expensive proposition and that I should go on their website and fill out the intake form. I told him I had already done business with this company a couple of times before and shouldn't have to be put through the screening process again. I found Bill to be rather off-putting and blunt in how he handled the matter. Long story short, I wound up hiring a different company to do the work.

We wanted to do a kitchen remodel in our townhouse that involved removing two walls. In addition to the kitchen remodel we had a atrium removed, enlarged the utility room, added shelves and tile all floors. We also had the bathtub removed in the guest bathroom and they built us a beautiful tiled walk in shower like they did in our master bath.
Janson the owner of BBG worked direct with us and had so many suggestions which helped us very much when we didn't know what would be best.
This was a very positive experience from start to finish. When they left each night they totally cleaned the work area. (Better then I would have done myself). They were polite, prompt, kept us informed of the schedule and any changes that needed to be made.
We found their work to be outstanding so much that we had them remodel our master bath recently.
Lisa in the office was a joy to work with and always answered our questions and relayed information to us almost daily.

I had Jason Schumacher (owner) come in and give my kitchen an update. I made initial contact and he arranged to come by the house on my schedule for him to assess the remodel we had in mind. Very professional and insightful. He even saved me money by telling me he didn't think I needed to redo my cabinets which would've been more in his pocket at the end of the day. We did granite countertops and island as well as a full backsplash in granite. He needed to fabricate one of the cabinets to attach a microwave I didn't have there previously. He was done in a day and it was the most seamless project I have ever witnessed. I will be recommending him to anyone who is looking for a remodel. I can't wait for him to come back and do my next project.

You just get the strong feeling he is just trying to run a business built on honesty and the idea that helping the client will get him more business in the end and it's working because I've already referred a few friends to them.

I've used BBG for handyman services and have been so impressed! Their handyman (Bill) really goes above and beyond with ensuring the job is done right, and that the area is neat and clean afterward. He was prepared for the job with the parts that he needed, prepped the area, showed me what he was doing, and even took care of some cosmetic stuff, which was a nice touch. He also showed care for my pets which is very important, making sure we didn't have any escapees while he was coming in and out of the house. Great guy and he does great work! Highly recommend!

I received a To Fixit brochure where I found 2 handyman businesses listed that were close to home. I checked that they were both BBB certified and bonded/licensed, and requested a quote from each from the BBB website. Lisa from Built by Grace was the only one who responded, and responded promptly by email as requested. An estimated quote was given (handymen work by the hour with a 2 hour minimum). Lisa worked with me over several days in which to schedule a convenient time for Bill, the handyman to come. Bill arrived right on time. He tightened a loose kitchen faucet, and then repaired a bifold door that had been damaged at the bottom when taken off by a contractor who laid flooring. He showed me how to take off a light globe from a ceiling fan for when I would need to replace the bulbs, and provided helpful information on GCFI outlets and cover plates for when I am ready to change out the outlets in kitchen and baths, as well as replacing a photo cell for an outdoor light sensor. All work was done exceptionally well. I am so glad to find a company that I can trust. I will certainly call them again for other handyman type jobs around the house. Built by Grace also does more extensive work such as remodels and room additions.

Lisa and Bill at Built By Grace have done an excellent job for me on many occasions. I am a Project Manager with a facilities maintenance company and they are my go to Handyman for the Chandler/Scottsdale area. I love these guys and will continue to do use them.

Working with Built by Grace was a wonderful experience. They recently re-roofed for us and patched a water-damaged wall inside the house. After a big storm, we were panicked homeowners having a hard time getting a contractor to call us back-- BBG promptly returned our call and remained attentive and easy-to-reach through the entire process. Their attitude was friendly and the work was quality. Not once did they make us feel unimportant because we were a relatively small project. I have nothing negative to say about any part of our experience. They will certainly have our business in the future and I would recommend them to anyone.

This company is amazing! I needed to get my father's home fixed up prior to him coming home from the hospital and was on a short timeline. They were able to get all accomplished within that timeframe. The contractors they sent were true craftsmen and paid close attention to the details. I will use them again and recommend their flooring installation services.
