I needed my water heater replaced. It's a 75 gallon, Natural gas unit. It would have cost me $1200 to purchase from HD or Lowe's, but they would have had to order it, and I needed it sooner than later.

They guys came out and quoted me $4100!!!!!

To install a $1200 water heater. In a closet, in my garage. I had it drained and disconnected before the got there as it was getting late. I even removed the water softener, let them borrow tools.

Don't get me wrong, they were really friendly and did a clean install.

Seriously, $4100!!!

They replaced hoses, added an expansion tank, and leak detector (cheap battery powered).

25 tank
$75 misc hoses and fitting.

Shoot, let's just say $1700 for all materials and tax
That's $2400 labor for two hours of work.

I never got an itemized receipt.

They were supposed to come back to address another issue, never did.

I got screwed. Learn from my mistakes.

Our water heater went out and we needed a replacement fast. Gabe was the first to reach out and offered to replace our unit the same day. His quote was very affordable compared with others that we received. His work is high quality and he made adjustments so if there is a need in the future repairs will be easier to perform. I highly recommend Gabe, and we now have a new plumber!

Maybe a bit overpriced, but well worth the service I received. Here is my story.

Leaking hose bib.

Admin/Communication: Called and got through to a person (Sonia) right away. She was very courteous and helpful. She booked an appointment same day. I then received a text later indicating they were ahead of schedule and could come early if I was available. Several texts and calls back and forth with Nick to confirm my schedule and my technicians were on the way. Communication was great. I appreciate that after other companies lack of communication.

Service: Travis and Jake came out. Explained the fix, gave me the cost and they were on their way! I asked a lot of questions during the process. Some related to the fix and some unrelated. They helped me locate my ball valve, checked my water pressure and we chatted about meters and such. They were very informative, polite, knowledgeable and super quick! Some may think the service call was expensive. For me it was worth the cost to get it done in a timely manner, by a professional and communicative staff who answered all my questions. I'm very satisfied with 1st Call Plumbing Heating & air. I will consider them again in the future.

Honest and trustworthy.  He is extremely knowledgeable and very honest on cost.  Will not overcharge you and will explain the whole process prior to just doing the work.  Will be using him again.

Responded to my voicemail quickly and came the next day for a non-emergency toilet repair. Carefully examined the understood the problem. Made repair quickly cleanly and efficiently. Wonderful experience.

Awesome Service. Called at about 6 in the evening with a leak in my kitchen ceiling. He came out in about an hour. Made the best of the situation then came back the next morning to fix. Great guy who took the time to do it right. And he wasn't trying to up charge with other stuff. Gave honest answers to my questions . I had been debating some bathroom remodeling and he answered honestly which meant no extra money out of my pocket. I would gladly use this company every time.

I never new how much water pressure one could actually have till now. I called 7 plumbers and he was the one. case resolved, I was in tears when my husband called me and told me the good news. I can't believe all these top company's couldn't figure it out like Roto rooter,  aaa auger plumbing, a affordable,  will fix it and 2 others that just scratched there head and said let me read up and get back with you. just get it done right the first time . Gordy at Ajax Plumbing is great!  Our pilot on our water heater blew yesterday and we really didn't want to pay $350 for a plumber to replace a $30 part.  First, we tried Ferguson Plumbing (our usual go to stop for parts).  Unfortunately, they would only sell the entire unit (kit) for $240, not just the simple pilot.  I called Ajax and Gordy hooked me up!  He had the part!  My husband and I drove a bit to get it but well worth it... Gordy even helped us put the piece on our wiring kit and made it simple for my hubs to install it in the water heater (sorry plumbers if I'm using the incorrect lingo).

Had Harold's Plumbing out to unplug a washing machine drain.  It took Harold's son about 10 minutes, and he gave me a bill for $285.  When I called Harold to complain, he said that it is normally $225 for this service because they have to use a small machine, but that he understood there was more service involved than the washer drain.  There was not because my tenants had taken care of the other problem.  Harold did reduce the bill to $225, however, I checked with Bryco Plumbing and they said it should have cost about $156.  I also checked with my regular plumber who had recommended Harold's for services requiring drain cleaning, and he, too, said that it should have cost around $150.  I tried to post this complaint on Harold's website, but it appears you can only post reviews that give them very positive responses.

I had a slab leak I attempted to fix myself, worked for about a week and failed.  Kunz plumbers came, they saw, they fixed - within a day.  They, unlike me, know what they're doing and are reasonably priced.

Very disappointed in this company, this company was assigned to us through our warranty; A plumber from A-Tex Plumbing came in and glanced for a second under the sink where the leak was, then said he will come back with a flash light but never did. did not come back to the house at all, instead stayed in front yard on the phone and then left. 30 mins later warranty denied our claim for repair due to pre-existent condition, but how did the plumber who did not even see anything in the house make a diagnosis? VERY unprofessional. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

HORRIBLE - Technician came out to assess a bad hot water heater.  He would not give me a written estimate and tried to tell me I needed unnecessary parts.  He also left the T&P valve open and it completely flooded my yard and wasted thousands of gallons of water.  DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!!!
