Best Solar Panels in Arizona
Polite, professional and on time. I don't write reviews very often, but these guys exceeded expectations on ALL fronts. I spoke to 3 different solar companies and AZ Sun Services was extremely competitive on price and knocked it out of the park with the level of service they provided. John and Charlie were available for every random question I threw at them before, during and after installation. Charlie walked me through the process of submitting my request for solar with APS to ensure it was done right the first time. His attention to detail was flawless. APS installed the meter and approved the system in less than 2 weeks. My neighbor waited 4months!! Terry, their NABCEP certified installer, was on point. He was very thorough in telling me how the system worked and all the little things they did to ensure a top notch install. I would recommend these guys to anyone considering solar!! Thanks AZ Sun Services!!!

Sunny Energy LLC is the absolute best solar company out there! From their sales team, Sean Turgeon, to the installation team, inspection team, design team, to the account management team, overseen by Michael McCaffrey, everyone is absolutely amazing and goes above and beyond to help ensure all questions are answered and that you're aware of every step taking place. I was totally against solar, and now am reaping the benefits of earning monthly APS credits. Please give this company a chance to provide a consult for you and I promise you won't regret it.

Chad arrived early for my appointment from 4-6. Wow! I couldn't believe it!
He installed my ceiling fan in a fast and efficient manner. This was a peculiar fan to install with wiring issues...no problem for Chad though.
I really appreciated his friendly demeanor and excellent service. I highly recommend Firefly.

We started taking bids for solar earlier in 2021. Some companies only wanted to push an expensive lease option that would have cost us more than $60000 out of pocket by the end of the lease! Sure, they take care of all maintenance and repairs, but when you do a little bit more research you can find that reputable companies have 25 year warranties on their products. Luckily, I started reading about microinverters and decided that I wanted an Enphase microinverter instead of a string inverter. From there, I searched Enphase's website for an installer in my zip code and Black Platinum showed up as a "platinum" level installer. At the time, the next one listed had a "gold" status. We got a quote for $38000 for 13.3kW with LG Panels and Enphase microinverters. The payoff at the time was ten years, but recently Arizona is pushing APS to cut the off peak time from 3pm to 8pm to 4pm to 7pm and they are forcing them to stop charging people with solar for a grid connection fee. These changes will definitely shorten our payoff time a little.
Black Platinum had us make the payments in four phases which worked out for us to help space out the large checks. The first phase involves getting city permits, the second phase is installation, and the last phase is APS approving the install and giving you the go ahead to flip the switch and turn on the system. We opted for no battery in our system since our solar buyback rate is locked for ten years. After ten years, I'm anticipating battery technology to be much more superior along with the Enphase technology for being able to go "off grid" while still being connected to the grid in the event of a power outage.
After the install, we had a few hiccups that either we solved or Black Platinum solved:
1. One of the trees that the previous owners planted was shading my roof and blocking sun to three of my panels. I had my landscaper trim the tree down beneath the roof line on my house. He still needs to work with my neighbor to trim the same tree on my neighbor's side. The three panels are probably running at about 60% right now (up from 16% when they were shaded).
2. Three panels did not have power after the system was turned on. Two of them weren't plugged in correctly and the third needed a new microinverter. I coordinated with David (Sales Manager) to get the repair team to my home to fix these three panels.
I love the Enphase Enlighten app for my Android phone. It shows your energy use so you know when you are doing things during peak energy charges. It helped us realize that if we shower between 3pm and 8pm it uses 5kW just to refill the water heater. Now we shower outside of that window given that our APS bill is negative at the moment (it could be even more negative).
The way our system is designed we are expecting to get money back during the cooler months and we're expecting to pay some money during the four hot months in the summer. It should balance itself out. We are looking forward to getting the rebate next year and hope that the solar tax credit is extended to help more people get solar in the future.
During each phase of getting solar, David was in touch with me constantly via text on my phone. I was also in touch with John Black (owner), Melia (permits), and David via email. All of their estimates for the time frame for permits, construction, and APS were pretty spot on. They had to cut into the wall in my daughter's room and garage to help hide the power conduits and it's very professional. The drywall people patched it up like it never happened and we just happened to have painted my daughter's room recently as part of a kitchen remodel (using the same painters). A few coats of left over paint and we can't even tell anything happened. I highly recommend Black Platinum if you are considering going solar and I have given their information to a few of my neighbors who are thinking about it for themselves.

We had one year anniversary recently & I'd like to list our review of Rooftop Solar.
We live in Buckeye near Surprise in over 55 senior community of Sun City Festival. I know there are lots of solar energy companies but we're glad we chose Rooftop Solar. Our sales rep, Michelle was very knowledgeable & never pushy, project manager, Vanessa was helpful. They took care of minor issues after installation when the builder's one year inspection was done. Great customer service & we highly recommend them for solar energy needs.
We're saving lots of money for energy bill & really happy with our decision.

Mr. Sunshine Solar was so helpful. Im another solar company customer. But I am currently having issue with my system. I called him to get assistance and answers. He helped me get the information I needed from solar edge customer service. Without talking to him I would have not be able to get the help I needed. He was so sweet and nice. I am so thankful for his assistance. Thank you.

Just had General Solar out to redo my pool solar. My old system was at the end of its useful life and was getting to be a headache to maintain.
Kent and Steve were very patient with me explaining the benefits of their product and what I could expect performance wise from a solar heater for my pool.
They showed up on time and worked diligently to get everything hooked up.
Could not be happier! Highly recommend

Have worked with these guys to get solar for my home. Very professional and very knowledgeable. They also gave me a lower price than the other company that came and showed me what they had. They gave me a low 2.99 interest rate on my solar. I will recommend them to any and all my friends and family.

Very pleased with Harmon Elec/Solar. Customer Serv. in my honest opinion is top notch. Jessica was amazing! Technical component very good. Initially, there was a minor glitch in the system which , no fault of the installer but a product defect on inverter. Harmon immediately responded and got the system on tract . Enjoying the savings on utility bills which would have been sky high if we stayed same with just APS. A wise decision to go solar and most importantly went with a reputable company like Harmon
They were highly recommended. Thank you!

It's been a year since AEP installed our system. I'm sure glad they did because I'm paying only $35 on my APS bill for JUNE!!! Russ, the owner, conservatively estimated that my summer bill would be about $75 bucks with solar, which I was very excited about a year ago. Come to find out that he was way off. Paying $35 in June was a delightful surprise. Even my wife, who was skeptical, is glad that we invested in Solar. Since I financed this system, I decided to pay exactly what I would be paying without solar, but in 8 years, my loan will be paid off, and I will get to enjoy a much cheaper APS bill. If you live in AZ, I would highly recommend anyone to invest in solar panels because APS or SRP is only going to raise their rates. Solar is a great way to hedge against rising energy cost. There are may reputable solar companies in the valley. I would highly recommend giving Russ an opportunity to quote your system. He uses state-of-the-art solar panels that other competitors didn't use. Installation was very professional as well. They do not hire out their installers. They have their own dedicated installers who even painted the conduit tubes to match my house. Finally, please beware of using the solar companies that knock on your door to gain your business. Many of them are rip-offs. Go with a trust worthy company that has been around for a while.

I paid Matt before completion of a $9755 job. I trusted him as he was a friend's neighbor and came recommended. But he got mad at me because I complained that the he didn't separate two units of the house into separate sub-panels. He did refund approximately the amount for a line item relating to the separation of circuits. Later I found that he had mis-wired the dryer as a 120V circuit, and also wired up two 120V circuits to a 240V dual-pole breaker. But, he neglected to finish or refund $280 worth of work that was on the invoice. Moreover, he left a major junction box in the attic attached only to a loose board sitting on rafters, and he wired an additional circuit into a breaker box in the attic, which are against Scottsdale code to begin with. I've talked with another electrician I trust and he estimated about $3000 to correct the half-finished work Matt left behind. I called the city of Scottsdale and confirmed that the work as-is would be in violation of code, but unfortunately, they apparently did not inpsect this part - just the panel replacement. For any work that requires attention to details or communication, I would look elsewhere. Unfortunately, there was no written contract, so while there was a gap in our communication, the AZ ROC was unable to find violation of any contract.

This company is an absolute nightmare from start to finish. All of these reviews echo the same issues I have dealt with personally and I honestly wish I would have seen them beforehand. I like everyone else hear am now stuck with paying for a solar loan and my power bill has not changed. The only thing that's changed is my usage has suddenly doubled from the moment the panels were turned on. When questioned about this they coyly respond that if you use more electricity your usage will increase....they fail to see a direct correlation with my usage doubling the moment the panels were cut on. Let's see all of the reviews regarding randomly showing up and not sticking to schedules are true as well, I lost so much time from work that if the panels did work as intended I wouldn't have seen any saving for years due to lost time from work. The project took 2 months longer than it was supposed to because they failed to communicate with my utility company properly. I eventually had to spend an entire day coordinating back and forth with Titan and my utility company to get Titan to send the paperwork needed. When I asked about reimbursement for the failure to be turned on in time they told me it was my utility companies fault so they would not be reimbursing me. Everytime you call them you sit on hold for 45 mins and usually have to call multiple times to reach the person you are trying to reach. At the end of the day this is an absolute scam and I'm now stuck pursuing legal options to get out of this nightmare.
