We had what I would call a great sales presentation, their sales rep was very responsive and had answers to all of our questions, even answering calls at 9pm. In Sept of 2020, we signed our contract for the solar system, in addition to replacing our main panel and running a new underground conduit to support an upgraded service we were installing with our utility.
Here we are 2 years later, and we still are not done with this job. It has been one thing going wrong after another, ranging from their licensed electrician not having the proper equipment which delayed the job for weeks while he got the equipment he needed, to failing the city inspection not once, but twice due to things not performed to code, and similar to other reviews, they did not tell me at the time that they failed.
On Saturday, 7/22, technicians showed up to work on some of the repairs the inspector called for. Once they were done working, they turned on the power, but not all my appliance were getting power. After 20 min of troubleshooting, they were able to resolve the problem.
They had to return later that week to 'derate' the panel for safety reasons, which meant they had to shut down the main power, replace the main breaker, and turn everything back on. Low and behold, once again, some of my appliance were not getting adequate power. Unforturnately, I was unable to be at home while they were working, so I did not notice until I got home.
I reached out to the tech who had worked on both the panel repairs and the derating, however he was out of the country and was unable to take a look. As of now, I am waiting to hear back from Titan about troubleshooting the problem again, and coming up with a permanent solution.
Their communication from the beginning of the process to now has definitely been hit and miss.
Buyer beware.
-- UPDATE 8/8
On 8/5, a tech shows up to my house unannounced, presumably to meet with the city inspector. In the past, we were notified when techs would be showing up, but complete radio silence on this one. Had I been told of the inspection or at the very least that a tech would be on-site, I would have easily rearranged my schedule to make sure I was home to try to resolve the internal wiring issues that Titan was responsible for. I have tried to contact our project coordinator several times, but no response. I have send an email to
[email protected] as I have seen requested in other yelp reviews, but no response.
I did receive the response to this review, and recently replied to that in hopes to get some kind of resolution, but I am not holding my breath.
