Sunny did a great job with all the steps for installing Solar.  They took care of all the paperwork with SRP, the town of Gilbert, etc.  Installation was quick and done well.  Producing the energy they promised and Michael McCaffrey did a training session to make sure I understood my system, the app to monitor energy production and how to maximize my savings.  Sunny kept me informed every step of the way and was very helpful and responsive in resolving an issue I had come up.

Sunny Energy is the real deal!  We built a new home in Buckeye and I had three presentations on putting in solar.  Mat Thorne was very professional and spent over 2 hours putting together our system that made sense.  I love that they are a local company and have their own service and installation team - they do contract any work out.  The system is performing above expectation!  As I mentioned, Sunny Energy provides in house service right in Arizona.  Michael McCaffrey provided an excellent review of what I bought and how to maintain it.  I love the SolarEdge app - I can watch the production in real time!  What an awesome team - I wouldn't trust anyone else with a solar system!

I finally decided to start with "the man in the mirror" by adding solar panels, an energy hub and a level 2 EV charger to our newly purchased home.  After reading MANY on-line reviews, we selected Sunny Energy for the project.  The folks at Sunny Energy were great to work with from the initial design proposal, scheduling, payment and the final walk-through.  We had no issues whatsoever even though we purposely delayed installation about two months to accommodate a trip out of the country.  Thus far, about a week into production, the solar array is putting out almost exactly what we were told to expect, which more than off-sets our energy use.  We are hoping to make further cuts in our overall energy bill by charging a plug-in hybrid during peak solar output using our level 2 EV charger.   I highly recommend going solar and highly recommend purchasing your system from Sunny Energy.

Sunny Energy was not my first choice for solar as I was shopping around to see what company would work for me. First, I decided to pick a company that was also my home security system and was sold on the ideas and plans presented to me. I did a little research on the company and saw that they were in the process of a merger or acquisition, and alarm bells started to go off. I continued to hope for the best and stayed with my previous chosen company, and let me tell you, the 9-month mistake was what followed. Dealing with the company meant no follow-up on my projects and no human to call to get an idea of the progress. The ultimate kicker was an employee lying to me, stating that they submitted a permit months prior, only to find out that it was also untrue. Fast forward, I fired that company and began the search. I learned my lesson and conducted more profound research before reaching out to a company and was surprised at how well-known and well-rated Sunny Energy is. "Why didn't I pick them first?" I called the company, and within the first week, I had a contract, plans, and permits submitted. Whoa! So, this is how it's supposed to work!
I initiated my solar system on October 7th, and by December 2nd, the panels were installed, PTO'd, and making power by January 13th! The most extended wait was the HOA approval, seriously. Nonstop, I had emails, text messages, and calls from ACTUAL PEOPLE that kept me updated on the progress. I had access to a portal where I could check everything on my own; individuals taught me how to monitor my production and the app details to always be in the know. The moral of the story, search for the best company instead of the easiest. That search will lead you to Sunny Energy every time!

Making a decision to go solar can be confusing, and there are a lot of factors to consider, but the people at Sunny took the time to walk me through and educate me from start to finish.  They showed up on time, did what they said they would do, and charged me exactly what they said they would. I don't think I could've asked for a better experience. Thanks to everyone a Sunny Energy!

We've wanted Solar for awhile, and looked around at other companies, but the big draw was that Sunny does everything, other companies out source different parts of the instillation. From our first meeting, we knew when everything was going to happen. You get text or email, and you can also see how things are going via the Sunny Portal.
Everyone turned up on time, there was no mess left behind, and I lost no power for any length of time (well I lost power for 10 seconds when a meter was switched out)
I highly recommended this team of Solar experts, and I now feel like I'm doing my part for the Environment also

Sunny Energy did a great job installing solar at our home. The team was extremely professional and knowledgeable. They patiently worked with inspectors to get our approvals. It took longer than anticipated, but it was worth it! My husband and I have been geeking out on the phone app watching daily production and our first month's bill since turning on the system is amazing, 11% of same month a year ago!

I was pleased with Sunny Energy and their work on my home. As a first time home buyer, getting solar was important to me and Sunny Energy helped me achieve that. The staff was easy to work with and they were accessible if I ever had a question as the process was in motion. They provided a nice overview of my system operation once the install was completed and helped to get me set up with the tools needed to track my solar production, right from my phone. In a world with inflation, it's nice to know that Sunny Energy is helping me save some green and help the earth at the same time.

Sunny Engery uses top quality solar hardware -- no Chinese panels or electronics. Their installers and sub-contractors are great. Their warranties are top-notch.

Why only 3 stars?

Many small to medium-sized companies struggle with communications. They're sold technology solutions that can be useful and efficient, but are never a complete substitute for human interaction.  The initial contact and design of our solar system was handled very professionally.  When his role was finished, we had no idea who to contact for anything else.

We had unplanned issues arise requiring back and forth communication. It was painful and frustrating. We were handed-off to this or that person without finding any one individual  with responsibility or complete knowledgeable of our project. We were scribbling names of folks and their function trying to figure out who to talk to, and what was happening. One time, I was transferred to someone who left early for the day. Nothing wrong with that, except my questions about what was happening next, and when, died right there. I had to resort to broadcasting emails to every address I had to get a response. I had Sunny Energy folks get frustrated with me, as I tried to find out the latest schedule of events -- to work into our schedule. Sunny Energy seems to forget customers have schedules too.

Overall, communication was not good. Text messaging is fine for direct communication of simple things. There's no guarantee the recipient actually gets the texts. I missed a few while traveling. Calling is a better way to communicate complex issues in a timely manner.  Sometimes I'd  get a text message saying someone was showing-up to do something -- it wasn't always clear exactly what -- the day before arrival! Sometimes people showed-up without advance notice.  We then received an email requesting final payment before the system was up and running, making us wonder if the right hand knows what the left hand is doing. Our system still isn't up and running, so that final payment will have to wait...

The fix is so easy.  Sunny Energy, PLEASE assign a single point of contact for every project, start-to-finsh. That person communicates everything personally, in a timely manner. Someone who becomes familiar. That's how well-managed service companies execute large projects.  Is it too much to ask for projects costing $20-60K?  I think not...

Sunny Energy recently completed the installation of a 12.775 kW DC solar system for a newly constructed house we moved into last year. Our experience was excellent and Sunny Energy did a exemplary job in designing the system, clearly explaining the costs and financing options, handling the installation, and ensuring all of our questions were addressed. We were very happy with their incentive offer of reimbursing the first year's worth of payments. All paperwork was handled digitally and the installation appointments were done with no obligation on our part to be home. Sunny Energy handled all interactions with our HOA and the city, making the process extremely easy on our end. Finally, Michael McCaffrey did an great virtual final walk through where he made sure all questions regarding the system and mySolarEdge phone app were answered. I would highly recommend Sunny Energy for a solar system installation.

I absolutely love my solar panels and I'm happy I went with Sunny Energy. They did all the work when it came to dealing with my HOA and their installation was professional and fast after everything was approved. Took about 3months and their work was a masterpiece. Everyone I came in contact with is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Phoenix is awesome and always responds in a timely manner. Michael was extremely helpful with my final walk through and very funny. I couldn't of asked for a better experience with an awesome company. I already referred my mom and a family friend.

I am so very grateful for Sunny Energy! When Justyn 1st came to my home he was very pleasant. I explained to him that he would have to come back at a later date and he did just that. When he came back I told him that I did not have a lot of time as I was going to be getting on my prayer call. He was so understanding and went through the presentation, and made sure I was okay and understood what he was explaining to me. Before he left, we made another appointment for him to come back. When he came back it was him and Phoenix and when I tell you they were both so professional and courteous of my home. We had great conversations and they took their time to explain the process and to answer any and ALL of my questions. They did not push me into buying anything or try and make me purchase. Just from Justyn doing the presentation and explaining everything in great detail, made me want to purchase. the best  customer service that I have received! I could not have asked for anyone better than Justin and Phoenix (the Sunny Energy sales reps). Justyn stayed in contact with me, answered my calls and text and made sure I was okay with the answers he gave. He was in contact with me for every step that was being made. Now the day the Solar was installed, they arrived ahead of schedule, explained what they would be doing and how long it would take. And every last worker said good morning to me.  When they were finished they rung the doorbell and they thanked me and told me to have a great day!
Now there was a young gentlemen that came to my home to bring me my packet and to do something to the panel on the side. He was so amazing, I had a huge package delivered and they did not bring it inside. He asked me if I needed help and assisted me with bringing it in the doorway, such a sweetheart.
And I cannot forget Michael who did the zoom virtual walkthrough and explained everything and more! My usage and  how the monitoring works, the app, and the link to where all of my documents were stored along with a copy of the zoom! Just awesome!!
I can honestly say that they all feel like family! I want to thank you for having such an AWESOME team! I am truly blessed and God will bless all of you for the great work, awesome customer service, your attentiveness, patience and love that you show towards your customers. I would like to thank EVERYONE who came to my home and who I spoke with over the phone! You are all so AMAZING!! Thank you and God Bless you all!!

3 months in and I'm very happy! I did my research before reaching out to Sunny Energy via energysage.com, and Steve and team were able to answer all my questions, beat most other prices, and install within 3 months of signing paperwork (during COVID).

My February APS bill was $-25, and I'm using the federal tax credits to replace my two 20 y.o. AC units.

Getting solar and understanding how my household uses energy is going to save $$ this summer (fingers crossed). For example, I run my pool pump, dishwasher, laundry, etc. during the day and at night I'm now less than 1kWh!

When battery prices go down I will consider adding to my system to bridge the gap between sunset and   8pm when APS still charges premium rates.

From their sales team, Sean Turgeon, to the installation team, inspection team, design team, to the account management team, overseen by Michael McCaffrey, everyone is absolutely amazing and goes above and beyond to help ensure all questions are answered and that you're aware of every step taking place. On August 30, 2021, at 11:03 am, Sunny Energy sent an unsolicited text message to my cell phone, which is also on the National Do Not Call registry. A copy of it is below:

"APS is reducing their solar incentive in 26 days. Let us know you don't want to miss out by Sept. 17 and we'll help you lock in the current rate to save big. Call Sunny Energy today to learn more at 480-536-8700 or visit sunnyenergysolar.com."

I called and inquired about evidence that I consented to such text messages. They were unable to do so. The customer service agent directed me to speak with Taylor. I contacted her at 11:25 am, and she stated that they sent text messages to all leads regardless of consent.

After meeting with 4 solar providers I had researched, I selected Sunny Energy. We financed through them and the whole process was flawless from approval through installation. The Installation subcontractor did break one roof tile but assured  me that was the only damage.  Our 15kW system is amazing and after the first six months I have only the loan payment for electricity cost.  In Arizona, that is a budget saver!  My system has had NO issues and puts out a minimum of 20kWs per day over our usage. We ran into one issue at the one year walkthrough on our house, finding out that the subcontractor they used had broken 23 tiles. It is my understanding that this subcontractor was fired shortly after our installation. I contacted Sunny Energy about the problem.  They understood, that as a homeowner, I would not have known about the damage if it weren't for the builder 1 year walkthrough.  They worked with me and were pleasant from the start. They repaired all the broken or damaged tiles, and did it within two weeks of contacting them.  The main reason I am writing this review is because it is so hard to find a company that does it right and stands behind the product when a problem occurs.  If you are looking for a solar system for your house, you would do well to go with Sunny Energy.

We began our solar journey by narrowing down the search to 3 companies, all appeared to have excellent ratings, until we did our homework. While we liked each salesperson we met, Sunny Energy stood above the rest. It started with the shocking fact that the 2 other companies were quoting a similar system for $20k more, selling us on the super low interest rate. Tarren from Sunny Solar explained the "mark up" that others quote is just to promote their lower interest rate.  What a tremendous savings!
I always felt informed throughout the process. The installers were well tuned and finished sooner than I expected. Chad explained the entire system and was so patient. The virtual walk through with Michael  provided me with valuable resources as well as a better understanding of what to expect. I continue to feel like a valued customer whenever I have a question and look forward to sharing my unexpected near perfect experience with everyone. Thank you to the caring, professional family at Solar Energy. You have earned my 5 star rating!

As an engineer accustomed to details, their sales and engineering team have been quick to answer my questions. We were approached by other companies, and Sunny Energy were the first to pride themselves with the BBB satisfaction rating of 4.84/5. I'm glad they came to my door and insisted to talk to me when I had three other appointments. They have walked us through every step of the process from installation to inspection to APS installing their meter to finally turning on our system. We highly recommend Sunny Energy!

After researching solar energy system providers and meeting with three companies we chose Sunny Energy to install our system in Phoenix, AZ. From sales to technical staff to installation to post-commissioning followup we have been impressed by Sunny Energy's commitment to customer service. Before each step of the process we received a text message, email, and update on the customer portal. If we had questions they were answered quickly. The technical staff provided realistic solutions to some unique installation issues and were helpful in recommending affordable service providers to follow through. We had complete confidence in their ability to work with our electrical service provider and the city inspectors as we embarked on making this significant investment.

I can not as yet leave a review regarding the equipment, which I purchased from Sunny Energy, as it was just commissioned a few days ago. However I can personally grade the Sunny Energy process insofar as representation of sale, installation, and customer service.
The Sale: From the time the sales rep. (Sean) knocked on my door, his representation was flawless. He was humble, thoughtful, professional, polite, knowledgable, and was quite sincere in my best interest. In other words, he did not try to ingratiate himself on me to sell me more than what I actually needed, something I experienced with another company who also provided me a quote for like services. He told me he would guide me every step of the way and that he did. I had questions for him throughout and his response time to every message I left him was actually impressive. The point of sale and signing of the contract was smooth and very convenient, as everything was done via email and Docusign. Grade: A+
The Installation: They promptly surveyed my house, provided me plans for an efficient system that was based on my usage history and future need. My system of 20 panels was installed in just 3 hours. The crew was very efficient, and the Lead was personable, and communicated very well in telling me exactly what they were going to do. He also was happy to answer all the questions I had for him throughout the installation. Grade: A
Customer Service: In my opinion customer service is what separates the good from the rest in a competitive field. Just as in Sunny Energy's sales representation, which in my experience was flawless, so was their customer service. Communication was a big part of this, as I consistently received emails and texts regarding the process of my project, or confirming an appointment. The communication was not only consistent, but prompt, I never had to contact them regarding the process of installation. Whether during the project regarding invoicing, or as a post project customer service follow up, every employee I spoke to was super personable. I could tell that these people actually like their jobs and the company they work for. Grade: A+
Sunny Energy over and above all these fine attributes is a philanthropic organization. Proceeds of their sales are charitable to very worthy organizations such as St. Jude's Children's Hospital and The Give Power Foundation. Nothing tells me more about the character of this company than this. It is no wonder why my project and interaction with everyone involved was well pleasing. My compliments to the people who run this company and the people who drive it, well done!

I selected Sunny Energy after researching eight solar companies, and the came out on top in my analysis.  We bought a 5.04kwp system, using 14 solar panels tied to a SolarEdge inverter.  Sunny Energy exceeded our expectations!  Professional throughout.  They did what they said they would do, on time and well;  communicated clearly and often, and we're always truthful.  I highly recommend Sunny Energy;  we are delighted with every aspect of our solar purchase!

I have worked with Rich (sales person) in the past and had a great experience and came back to him again.  The installers did good, clean work and the system is up and running well.  Mike, the manager of customer support, does a nice walkthrough at the end and explains a lot of the ins and outs of the system and the monitoring.  Overall the company was good to work with and no major complaints.  I would recommend them for your solar needs.

What could & should have been a great addition to home has been nothing but a complete & utter nightmare.  From the beginning this is the worst company- don't let the selling factor of we install & manage it fool you.   I regret nothing more than going with sunny & if I could redo I would 100x.   This is the most unorganized, chaotic & unprofessional group of people I have ever dealt with.
The ONLY saving grace was the salesperson Jason...but even he can do so much with helping at his level.   Worse part...I thought bringing my issues and concerns to the owner would make a difference & I guess not bc nothing but crickets from him too. When the salesperson is embarrassed about the way his own company has handled things...that says a lot. To sunny you are not a valued customer like they sell it.  Once they get your signature you are just another check & number to them.  No value at all.  Personally the entire office-- Taylor and Melanie should be fired. They have no idea what they are doing.
1.  Upon looking over the house & figuring out system nothing was mentioned about clearly trees on side of house.  It was once process started they let us know we need to remove trees--cost $250 to remove.  Doesn't include new plants    They did give a check for $300 & had this been only issue. Would have been thrilled
2.  When installing new electrical box the workers cut fiber optic line for cox internet and caused us to have no WiFi for almost 2 weeks   Their fix was again to give money for time wo internet.  Only person who was sincere in apology was salesperson. The office couldn't be bothered
3.  3 people would call about the same thing at all hours of the day--no inner office communication and no lack of organization to keep customer properly informed.  Over-communicated on useless info and then none on stuff that mattered like the process of when things would happen
4.  Specifically asked Taylor--acct manager of when install would happen & she said crew would arrive at 7am.  Crew arrived at 530am.  Loud and obnoxious yelling & screaming.  Not only waking up our house but most likely disturbing the neighborhood.  The workers were like frat boys throwing a party--again no sincere apology and back peddling from Taylor w excuses and lies about the early arrival.  
5.  Chad who came to turn on system & install inverters after city and aps approval said I'd get login info to see system on app in 24-48 hours.  Days go by & no word.  Reach out to office.  No word.  Finally Jason helped me get office attention & then 10 days later they realize inverter installed had been bad.    Had I not bothered them to get the info they were supposed to send on their own. They wouldn't have even known there was an issue

Melanie-customer service manager said it would be a week until it could replaced.  UNACCEPTABLE--after all the issues and the time we've wasted you are going to make me wait 7 days.   When I threatened to have someone put that day or remove system and/or have owner reach out.   Then Melanie offered to cut it from 7 days to 4 & send check for 1st payment.    This was the only time she was apologetic and gave me hope that they realized all their mess ups & would make it right moving forward
7.  FWD about 2 weeks later.  I have now had a virtual call w Michael to go over the system & the app & received the manual in mail via usb drive but still no "sorry 1st payment check" that had been confirmed by Melanie was sent out
8. Once again I am doing their job and follow up and it took about 18 hours for Melanie to respond back.  No apologies--" I will look into when I get in to office" 745am.  3 hours later she states that the check was sent-- talking about the check she sent 4 weeks prior for trees/WiFi.  Also states that check hadn't cleared yet & still no mention of the actual check I'm talking about.   I send her copies of check she is mistaken about; clearing on 9.1 & the check I am talking about is the one she said she would send on 9.8.  Few hours later she says that accountant had error & would have a check hand delivered next day.   So here are the issues with this one:

As customer service manager.  Why not go above and beyond and say "hey u know what we have dropped the ball so many times w this account let me put a calendar note to myself to follow up & make sure they got this last check after we replaced inverter.  After he's spoken to Michael & the app & system & just make sure there are no issues or questions."  Instead she's clueless to what I'm talking about.   Never once apologizes.   And I'm pretty sure what actually happened is that the forgot to get the check and mail it in the first place.  So lying to cover up
Sad we have to deal w them next 5/10/20 years.   Texts and emails to back up ALL of this.   So beware.  Will not refer EVER!

After extensive research, we determined that adding solar made sense in our situation. After additional research, and discussion with other providers, we determined that Sunny Energy was the best choice. Each person's case for solar is different, but the math and physics are relatively simple. Sunny Energy proactively managed every step of the process from the initial engineering to permitting, installation, inspection and approvals through to commissioning. No hard, sell just results.

After talking to self-proclaimed "solar school dropout" James and scheduling an appointment for a consult with a sales rep, James soon called me back to tell me there was no possible way solar could be installed at my property and proceeded to cancel my appointment. He stated my property, which sits on 2 acres and includes a house and a workshop on separate meters (both of which we are interested in adding solar to) had too much shade. It's true we do have trees but with 2 acres have LOTS of areas with sun as well. I would have liked to have the opportunity to talk to someone who WASN'T a "solar school dropout" condescendingly informing me that solar panels don't work in the shade (no shit), but oh well, good thing other companies exist. Another very reputable solar company has already given us a proposal for placing panels where we do in fact have sun, but apparently the solar school dropout was not interested in giving me the opportunity to discuss options with someone more knowledgeable. Their loss.

One of our neighbors had solar installed about a year ago by Sunny Energy so when we considered adding solar to our 2,700 square foot home in North Scottsdale we first spoke with our neighbor and then called the same sales person, Dave Vernon, at Sunny Energy.  

We met with Dave Vernon back in June 2020 to learn about solar and to get a proposal.  Dave was very responsive, professional, and above all - he was honest.  No high pressure sales tactics.  

We chose Sunny Energy and had 16 PV panels installed in late August 2020 by their installation crew which was 5 installers who also did the installation professionally and cleaned all areas around our home.  The installers all had many years of experience and were not sub-contractors.

After the installation, we passed the City of Scottsdale and APS inspections.  Our solar PV system went live on 9/2/2020 using 16 panels and Solar Edge inverter which communicates with our phone app and system monitoring.  

The whole team at Sunny Energy had excellent communications and customer service.  The project coordinator, Taylor, and others on our  project team were very responsive, friendly, and informative.  They  let us know the progress of each step from start to finish.

FYI: we also looked at Tesla Solar but decided against Tesla after we looked at many concerning customer reviews about Tesla Solar's poor customer service.  

We would recommend Sunny Energy.

From the initial sales contact that we initiated to the process of getting permits, approvals and installation the process was smooth, the communication was excellent and the end result has been as expected and promised.  
The above and beyond follow-up after our system was installed was very much appreciated, our interactions with everyone at Sunny was always professional and the responses always prompt.

I was hesitant to put up solar but so far couldn't be happier.  Savings on APS bill in middle of summer is awesome. In today's times great customer service is rare.  We got that from Sunny Energy.  From the beginning to the end they have been very on top of everything and communicated each step of the way.  Would recommend this company for sure.

After Install: Ivan was fantastic! He explained the process without any overselling or overpromising. Any questions we've had have been answered quickly. We also had access to a website to monitor the progress of our solar throughout the process. Everyone involved has been knowledgeable, professional  and friendly. We monitor my APS account, and have already seen a great reduction in our purchased energy. We highly recommend them.
3 Months In: Everything is going great. We've talked to several neighbors without solar and have been given information on previous AC bills at our current home. We've heard people paying between $600 - $700 easy with a home our size (2800 sq. ft.). We are a family of five. The kids are in online college/homeschool, and I'm a stay at home mom. So ... There is no "away" option when setting our thermostat.
Bills before solar: April ($210) and May ($266 w/a few days of solar mixed in). Bills after solar: June ($127.84), July ($231), August ($247). We are looking at our largest bill in September. We may be on track for about $270. Our monthly solar payment is $221, and we know we're saving with solar.
Before, we were scared of the costs for electricity we used between the peak times of 3p.m - 8p.m. After solar, we realized our panels produce the most electricity for us during those times. At first, we enjoyed APS buying (for less) our electricity during those times. Then, we decided to use our electricity for ourselves. We lowered our AC to more comfortable levels, and stopped sweating in our own home. If we left our thermostat settings the same (78 home/88 peak times), we would have even greater savings. We look forward to cooler temperature, so we can reap the rewards even more.
If anyone is skeptical because of the monthly solar payment, just remember ... A car payment isn't cheap, but it costs less to get around in your own car all month (work/errands), then it would to pay for an Uber all month. It's an investment. At least, that's how we see it.

Still no improvement on customer service even after being called for my bad revew. I have repeatedly asked for a phone call and have yet to receive a call back. ZERO personal customer service. If you are ok with knowing nothing about your institution other than emails then you may want to try them if you actually want customer service go with a better company

The Sunny Energy Group has been great!  They sales department was not too pushy.  They answered all my questions.  Since this was not my first time talking with solar people she was very understanding not to repeat information I already knew.  They were able to get us approved for the the loan.  Told us about the tax rebate!  They people in the office were very responsive to my emails.  The gentleman that came to show me the other stuff for online was great!  Angel, Taylor and Micheal have been great!  I currently have a breaker issue and right in front of me Micheal sent the ticket to get it checked out.  Could ask for better customer service!

From start to finish Sunny Energy took care of everything. Graham was our salesman. We had a telephone conference with him where he explained the system and the process with us. He was available throughout the process to answer questions. Sunny Energy emailed the quote that same day. We had several other companies give us estimates and explain their proposals. Sunny Energy had the best price and the best way to optimize the return of our investment. Throughout the process Sunny Energy took care of all the paperwork and permits necessary for our system. It took about 2 months from the sales meeting to installation. Two weeks after the system was up and running, Michael called and walked us through how to read and use SENSE and MY SOLAR EDGE. He sent us a copy of the Zoom session so we could review it later. We mentioned to him that we wanted the conduit in the attic or painted. They came out and did it as soon as they could. They were very pleasant about it. We decided to have it painted rather than being installed in the attic. The installers said if we changed our mind and wanted it to be put in the attic they would come back. Michael then called to check and see if we were satisfied. Last time I checked, SRP estimated that our bill would be around $185.00. Usually our summer bills are in the $300 to $400 range. Needless to say we are very happy with our decision to use Sunny Energy as our solar provider.

I chose Sunny Energy after reviewing proposals from several companies.  There were some difficulties and hiccups along the way to getting the system installed.  I now know how complex the solar installation review process is and this explains what all the staff knowledge and communication issues can be.  Sunny Energy was accommodating in the process.  The design process accommodated my desires.  The installation crew and method of installation on a flat roof were excellent.  There were some difficulties with the SRP inspection but overall the product and installation  were great. I recommend this company for its expertise and commitment to do the right job.

My first introduction to Sunny Energy was 3 years ago back in 2018. After doing research on ways to lower my electric bill I decided solar was the best option. I contacted Sunny Energy and Tyler came to my home.  He sold me. Unfortunately, back then my credit wasn't good and I would need a co-signer on the loan. My mother had just retired so I didn't want to burden her with something so expensive.  Solar is not cheap.  I decided not to get it.

Fast forward to October/November 2020, I received a marketing email from Sunny Energy.  They had a promotional deal and it was too tempting to pass up. I had been working extremely hard on improving my credit, so I decided to reach out via their website for a consultation. With COVID lurking, Mike Sheehan contacted me and gave me a virtual consultation.  Once again, I was sold.  Michael ran my credit and I qualified.  On top of that, I was within the deadline of the promotion to receive a rebate for the first year.  From the moment the process started, I began receiving emails from Perla who kept me in the loop.  The solar panels were installed in February and shortly after that I received my rebate check.  The solar was turned on one month later.  Sunny Energy made the process from beginning to end seamless, however, the reason I'm giving 4 stars is because there were times when the communication wasn't consistent. APS came to inspect on numerous occasions but I was only notified once. One time, I got notified to expect a visit the next day but the person came that same day.  Luckily, I've been working from home since the pandemic started so I was able to give the APS and Sunny Energy workers access.  Also, I was supposed to get a login to follow along in the process, but when I called Sunny Energy my contact person seemed confused and never gave me anything. Lastly, only while doing my final "virtual" walkthrough with (a different) Michael did I learn there's a dashboard that contains documents I can reference.  No one told me about it or gave me the login credentials. Michael took care of that after the walkthrough.  Other than a few hiccups with communication, I'm pleased with how effortless they made it seem. After my solar was turned on I received a credit of -$125 on my electric bill.  With the summer months coming up, I'm looking forward to the savings.  I would definitely recommend Sunny Energy to anyone who's interested in going solar.

The fantastic people at Sunny Energy were a true delight to do business with as they made the whole process of going solar as simple as it could be.From the initial start to the final review the process I never would have believed that it could be so simple. The install crew took only 3.5 hours to install the entire system and that was from arrival to the clean up .I really appreciate the way the crew exactly what,where and when each of the crew was doing. Just an OUTSTANDING experience and would recommend Sunny to anyone and everyone that wants to go solar!!!

Over the past 5-8 years, we've interviewed as many as ten solar energy companies to install a system in our home. Costs and common sense won out when we selected none of them based upon confusing options and energy savings. Yesterday we had the pleasure of having Dave visit and explain in straightforward realistic terms how we could save money and beat the public utilities at their own game. I've never come away from a solar presentation with a clearer picture of how and what needed to be done at a reasonable cost. Though we haven't yet decided on any solar alternative (still discussing), Sunny Energy is surely the company to use. We surely thank Sunny Energy's reps for their courtesy and overall knowledge.

I found their customer notifications non-existent. My contact person never let me know what was going on or when I could expect workers.  She would take several days to respond to emails and she never called me if I left a phone message.  Workers showed up in the dark, never called,  didn't knock. Just climbed the fence. They cut my underground cable line, I am still waiting to hear when they will fix that.  The work is good, so far. Just not as informed as I should have been. Waiting to turn on system since Tuesday. Finally got a response to my third email (and two voicemails.)

My experience with Sunny Energy installing solar panels has been first rate. Rich, the sales rep, was patient and not pushy, financing was easily arranged, Taylor, the customer service rep, was available and responsive. Sunny handles all aspects of the project, including city permits, coordinating with the HOA, and partnering with the electric company. It took less than two months to get it all done. Basically all I had to do was wait for them to flip the switch. Now I'm saving trees and reducing my carbon footprint!

Sunny Energy installed ~22 panels on my property for a projected 120% of my average monthly need. The salesperson was a pleasure to work with and was able to answer all my immediate questions, without being overly aggressive. After I did my own research (a must), he answered my follow ups equally well.The install was absolutely painless, and as timely as the highly regulated process would allow.A follow up "walk through" provided another welcome opportunity for questions. There were some minor discrepancies with the information provided here versus prior to the sale, but nothing that would have changed my mind. I just received my first power bill for $-8.00, for the month of May. This seems in line with their estimate of an average of $25.00 per month.Overall I was very satisfied with how Sunny Energy handled my solar install. My only complaint is not so much with Sunny Energy, but with contractors in general. It is essential that the customer thoroughly research the job prior to purchase. Much of the information required to make a truly informed decision will not be volunteered. That said, Sunny Energy stood out as one of the best.

HIGHLY Recommend Sunny Energy for your residential Solar Panel needs.  

Living in Arizona, I felt somewhat obligated to at least consider Solar energy for my home's electrical needs.   I went into the venture not knowing if I could afford it or not, AND with an extensive list of questions.

I eventually talked with 9 solar companies.  Sunny Energy (Rich M) quickly moved to the top of my list due to Rich's CLEAR explanations and patience in answering my questions.    Only one other company even heard out my entire list.  Rich researched a few obscure questions I had--and didn't downplay my interest in knowing about them.   Rich did not use the pushy salesman approach that ALL the other companies had employed.  I needed time to decide if I wanted to move forward, but had decided on Sunny Energy if I chose to do so.  Again, Rich and the staff were patient and not pushy.  

Once I decided to move forward, I had interactions with Rich and several of Sunny Energy's staff over the phone.  I was a very inquisitive and detail oriented customer, but Sunny Energy's staff continued to make me comfortable to call them for any reason.  I had numerous calls with Taylor and Kristina during this time.  Both were courteous, patient and always either had an answer--or found out what the answer was.  Excellent customer service.  

The installation process includes many steps, including inspections and a LOT of coordination.  In every case, things were handled professionally.  Again, any question I had about timing or clarification on where things stood was handled by Taylor and Sunny's team in a flawless and courteous manner.   If needed my concern was escalated to Chris W, who was the most reasonable upper management person I've worked with in years.   He entertained any concern I had, and resolved every one of them.

This is clearly a company that is committed to excellent customer service.      A+

We installed solar using Sunny Energy.  Their pricing was competitive and I was impressed with stellar reviews on both Yelp and the Better Business Bureau.  The sales person explained the system thoroughly.  We did have one panel that wasn't working and had to request it to be repaired twice.  However the customer service has been good post sales.

Sunny energy installed a 4.9kw (approx.) on our roof.  We taxed them a bit by being naggy customers with specific items out of the norm, and a specific way we wanted our panels arranged.  Everything  was available from their normal suppliers.  They complied and were very gracious.  We asked for an inverter with the ability to hook up a battery.  They absolutely came through with a wonderful Solar Edge inverter.  They installed before year end (Gotta have those tax credits!), as they committed to doing and the system functioned without error. We did have an "oops".  We ordered a load controller to go with our system.  We were not told, that for the load controller to work with our heat pump, we would have to swap out a Nest thermostat (Sorry Google) with a Venstar thermostat.  The Venstar seems to be of comparable quality, it just would have been nice to know going in.  Other than that, we were impressed with them as an organization and the depth and breadth of their knowledge on solar and options.  Everyone we spoke with was polite.   At one point, a competitor attacked them on facebook in a post I wrote and made false claims. Sunny Energy responded in a mature and respectful manner with facts.  I was impressed.  Thank you, Sunny Energy.  We would recommend you in a heartbeat!

As a Sunny Energy customer, I greatly regret getting their system. If the system goes down,  it takes several weeks in getting it repaired. In the mean time you'll have two bills, one from the lending company and the other from the utility company. I'm still waiting for my defective system fixed.

Mindy and Co. explained the process in very simple terms.  They were very careful to insure that Solar conversion would actually be helpful to us and not a financial burden.  I am very impressed!  No more electric bill (most months).  $11,800 rebate check in hand before our 1st payment of $180 was due.  And that $180 came out of the $250+/month we were spending on electricity!  So less monthly expense, $20k increase in property value, we're helping the environment.  I have yet to see a downside!  The work was completed on schedule and the communication was excellent.  Thank you Sunny Energy!

I'm still giving 5 stars as communication was truly excellent throughout the process and every person who came to our house made us comfortable they were there. This company really cares about customer service and it shows. Loved our sales guy, Rich, who followed through way after the sale was done and his responsibility was over.

Do not go with Sunny Energy, you will not save the money that is promised!  I had panels installed 2 years ago and was told my bill was going to go from a monthly $200 to below $20 however, my payments have NEVER been below $150 after the installation.  I spent over 30k on these solar panels, at this rate it will take me 54 years before I start reaping the benefits instead of the promised 15-20 years.  The only benefit so far has been with the income tax.  I have been patient and trying to work with them for the past year on why my bill is still high, even going as far as to purchase ($250 out of my pocket) a curb monitor system.  This is the worst investment I have ever done, I will be seeking legal action.  I would highly recommend going with another solar company.
