We called Retro Pro for a master bathroom remodel.  (We had had several other indoor remodels completed in the last two years and while happy with the results, we were not happy with communication and overall execution.)  Eric and Angela came to our home for an initial visit.  Eric had the great vision of turning our shower and tub area that had a lot of wasted space into a beautiful tiled wet room with the shower area and tub behind glass, making full use of the area.  We met them at their showroom (amazing, by the way) to select tile, counters, sinks, tub, fixtures, etc., and also met Steve who leads their construction team.  Eric, Angela, and Steve made another visit before construction for measurements and to talk through process.  On day one, we met our project manager Nestor.  We could tell immediately how respectful he was of us and our home, thoroughly covering carpets and furniture to protect them from dirt and dust.  Throughout the process, Nestor was outstanding at communicating and either he or Steve were immediately responsive if we had a question.  They estimated 5 week, hoping to finish in 4.  They finished in exactly 4 weeks and we are enjoying our amazing bathroom.  Nestor and every member of the crew was respectful, hard working, and clearly wanted to make sure things were done right.  Having a major project ongoing in your home can be stressful, but they did everything in their power to make it as stress free as possible.  We have thoroughly enjoyed our new bathroom and highly recommend Retro Pro to anyone looking for a kitchen or bath remodel -- a great job and great value.  Our only regret is that we did not call them before our other remodels.

Hired Golden Bear to remodel master bath and second bathroom in March 2020.  I gave it 5 stars so you can read about my experience and who this guy really is.  You decide.

Mike and his partner did all the tile work, plumbing, electrical and some touchup painting themselves, no subcontractors - with the exception of the glass shower wall/doors, which everyone subcontracts. Overall, I'm pleased with the outcome.  They were very easy to work with, which is why I hired them.  On several occasions Michael saved me from my bad ideas.  

But there were issues around the finishing details. I had to go over the work and point out with stick notes many finishing details like at the base of the cabinets, grout cleanup in corners and rough finishing edges.  Overall in the end the master bath came out great.

But in the second bath the amount of grout clean up issues were extensive.  For some reason they decided to change the color of the grout without my consent and it looked terrible. I was told the color would change after it dries.  

Well the grout color did not change when it dried, the color they used what not what I selected.  Michael stop taking my calls after he admitted they used the wrong color and said they would come back and fix it.   I had to hire a tile company to change the color of the grout.

I do recommend that Michael hire someone to do the finishing work he does not like doing.  Would I hire him again or recommend him - NO.

Amazing customer service! I was having trouble installing a ceiling fan on my own, and I called them up to have them come out for service. Instead the man I spoke with recognized that I was very close to finishing and just talked me through the rest of the install over the phone. I was very surprised. This type of service is hard to find and very appreciated. Thank you so much for your excellent customer service. I will definitely use them again on any future home renovations.

Blue Dot Pools built a pool for my family this summer and we are THRILLED!!! The expertise and attention to detail from start to finish was truly impressive. I had a neighbor that started a pool build a month before we did and our pool was finished before his! James, one of the owners, is passionate about pools and he is able to guide a newbie like me through the entire process with patience and professionalism. Also, I am a busy realtor and I use Blue Dot Pools for help with repairs for clients and general information. Highly recommend!!!!!

I had a backsplash nightmare- install done terribly. I reached out to see if this company could help me fix itA although they are too booked out to help, the owner was very kind in walking me through what went wrong and advice on what to do. Very appreciative of his time to have a discussion with me! Will definitely use them for future projects!

Cannot recommend these guys enough, and couldn't be happier with the quality of work they were able to provide for us in a very timely manner. Showed up as promised, stayed until the job was done, and left a consistently clean work environment. Very professional, courteous, and reasonably priced.

McLintock has been our go-to general contractor for more than a dozen years. Brent and his crew have; remodeled a bathroom, put in new doors, remodeled our back yard (demolished and brought it down to the dirt and then rebuilt it.) Added a huge patio with fireplace... I could go on and on.  I wouldn't dream of calling any other contractor for a job, big or small, at my home. McLintock Builders are The Best!

Mike responded promptly to my request for an estimate to repair the pump in my fountain. He and his assistant arrived on time, and explained the completed work when they finished. He recommended a future repair in answer to a question I asked. I heartily recommend Advanced Fountains!

Bryce at HBO Construction was great! He was responsive, on time, and did great work on our bathroom shower.

After several estimates, we knew Bryce was the guy for the job. He was fair and knowledgeable without giving us a crazy dollar amount to do the job.

10/10 will be recommending him to our friends and family!

Ray Ouellette was a referral from the realtor I hired to sell a house in poor condition.  It needed a lot of remodeling to be presentable and ready for sale.  Ray and Tatum diligently prepared a scope of work and a budget, got all the work done promptly, and within the budget.  They did some odds and ends I had overlooked without charging extra.  The work was done beautifully.  I did not have to give them a punch list because everything was done right the first time.  I am in the commercial development business, for almost 40 years.  These guys are as good as it gets.  I would not hesitate to refer them.

Screens Unlimited, LLC
We found Screens Unlimited using a website search. Like most companies that manufacture solar screens, they can make them on site or in their shop. The ones that were installed recently in our home to replace the solar screens we bought 11 years ago when we moved in as well as to replace  several of the builder's original window (insect) screens are terrific. They are made using heavier-duty frames and with metal corner inserts, not the cheap plastic corner inserts on the screens we purchased years ago. Those old screens with the plastic corner inserts got brittle with the sun and caused the screens to rack (lose their rectangular shape) and become worthless. Screens Unlimited is a pleasure to work with.  Mike came out to do precise measurements of the several windows for which I needed new insect and/or solar screens. A week or so later, he was back to install the small ones that were made at their shop and manufacture the larger ones (6'x7') that were made on site. They all fit perfectly. He even replaced (at no charge) any old clips that hold the solar screens in place because he felt they were not adequate. Their billing is all done on-line using a secure website. Their office person, Nadya, is prompt, polite and efficient and their workmanship seems excellent.

All I can say is that the business owner must have been raised by wolves. He entered my home without first asking me, while his people were here. He walked around my home without letting me know. I had a check on my table, under my things, which he took without asking first. Lastly, and very upsetting, my husband and I are older. We both had on masks. He did not and never did wear a mask, while walking around my home uninvited.
Regardless of the work, he was so unprofessional that I would not call him again; nor refer him.

We've used Affordable Home Improvements twice for a patio & garage light installation and then for flooring to be replaced from termite damage.  Both times communication & service were excellent with extremely reasonable pricing.

Will continue to use them in the future for all our home improvements!

Contacted AZ Dreamscapes to come out and give us a quote on our backyard. We were looking to have grass w sprinklers and curbing done along with an area of pavers. Scott did contact us and set up a time to come out. He viewed the yard and we gave him a rough sketch of what we wanted. He stated he'd have a quote for us in around 48 hours. This was on April 8th. After about a week or so of not hearing anything, both my spouse and I reached out in two separate emails to see if a quote was ready yet from main website and stated that we had not heard anything since Scott came out. Never received a call back, email response, nor quote. Very disappointed with lack of communication and not following through. Better to just state you're too busy to take on a job or aren't interested...why even bother coming out and wasting everyone's time

Geremy installed floating wood shelves in the kitchen and did a good job. They're sturdy and look good, but could have been finished better in the end. Putty was left to dry and I had to have my handyman sand it all down as well as add more where there were some noticeable gaps at joints. I didn't ask Geremy come back to finish because it wasn't the end of the world to have to have someone else finish, it just would have been nice if he had completed the job himself. There was also an incident where he accidentally leaned against the stove knobs, turned on the burner and melted plastic on my brand new stove top that had never been used. It wasn't able to be cleaned up complete which is a bummer, but the worst part is he didn't tell me about it- I had to hear from my handman.

I hired him for a second job- a pergola over my back patio. After he rescheduled a couple of times and then didn't show up another one or two times, he finally came, but came so late in the day that he ran out of time and couldn't install my string lights. I went ahead and paid him the full amount for the job but I've never been able to get him to come back to finish the lights that he said he'd be back to hang the following day. After a lot of excuses, several texts and a phone call and continuing to tell me he'd come back to hang them, he still hasn't finished the job. I've been waiting since May 20th and now he isn't responding to my messages at all.

It's a shame because his work is good, but reliability and communication are terrible.

Ken and his team just finished remodeling our kitchen and widening our living and dining room walls.  We are so happy with our vision coming true and the quality of work Ken and his crew provided for our remodel.   They were true to our time line and finished the project in just 4 weeks.  I will certainly hire Armstrong Innovations in all our future projects.

If I could give a zero rating I would. I hired red ram construction too Install 700 ft.² of tile. After nine days they still had not completed the job, they Laid the tile uneven, left grout all over the floor, and cabinets. We now have to remove the tile and start over. In addition they never cleaned up after themselves.  I would not hire this contractor under any circumstances whatsoever.
