Redesigning Places 'n Spaces Kitchen Remodel
Jacquie is not only a fabulous designer with great taste but also easy and fun to work with. I met Jacquie last year when we just purchased our retirement home that we planned to use part time between renting to snowbirds.  She had a hand in designing almost every room with the furniture and window coverings as well as the details that really make the difference between a nicely decorated room to a stunning room!

Jacquie took my stye and thoughts into consideration, but she also knew when to push a bit to consider decor we might not have chosen on your own - and of course she was right each time!  From the beginning of our new house build, Jacquie joined us at the design center to make some significant decisions.  One of them was the drop lighting in the café, which is a unique feature to our model which most people didn't choose it.  Jacquie encouraged us to see the long-term value and the elegance it brought, and she was spot on.  When we put the house on the rental market, 2 days later, it was rented for 13 months!  I highly recommend Jacquie and her services.

Regal Bath and Kitchens Kitchen Remodel
I contacted Regal Bath & Kitchen for a remodel of my master bathroom. Let me start off by saying that I am actually happy with the quality of work that was performed. 90% of the remodel work was performed by an employee by the name of Eric who was professional & courteous the entire time he was in my home. The reason for the low rating was the Project Manager Rich was easily the rudest, most dis-respectful, & stand-offish Contractor that I have ever worked with. The remodel started off simple enough, pricing wasn't too bad, Rich did try to mark-up the Tile needed for the project to make a profit on it. Pretty typical for Contractors to try that, it balanced out when I told him that I priced out the Tile from their supplier & I knew how much they were paying for it, & I had selected a bathtub that was higher than my allotted price included the remodel estimate, so it evened out. The real issues started when some mold & termite damage was found under the old shower when it was demo'd. Rich did not want Regal Bath to take care of it, I'm guessing that he was worried about legal liability, but he did not have any info on Contractors to do this kind of work & I was left 100% responsible for taking care of everything without any help or direction from Regal Bath after giving them a $4000 deposit to start my remodel, & literally all the work that they had done so far was demo the old shower & tub. So after I called around & had a multitude of other Contractors in my home giving me estimates on the damage repair, I found out from a mold treatment company that per the EPA guidelines if the section of mold is less than ~10sq. ft. then anyone can take care of it. The mold was only on a section of my linen closet that was being demo'd to make room for us getting a bigger shower. After telling Rich this & texting him a link to the EPA info, he still had no intention of finishing the demo. So I demo'd the linen closet & treated the mold myself. Since I was wasn't about to pay for something that I had to do myself, I asked Rich how much he was charging me for the closet demo...$100 he claimed, I knew that he was full of crap, but in the interest of moving forward, I told him to make it $200 & just let it go. The Termite damage was repaired by another company who does damage restoration as well as remodels. So after 3 weeks of no progress on my remodel & my fiancee & I sharing a bathroom with our teenage children, Rich was ok with someone else signing off the repair work & progress could be resumed on my bathroom. After about 5 days worth of work, Rich was demanding another $4000 or the work would have to stop. I told him that the last I gave him $4000 the work DID stop on my bathroom, & I had plenty of other Contractors in my home who do remodels & they were wondering why he hadn't taken care of the repair work himself. I suggested a reasonable payment schedule to him of giving him $2000 the next day, another $2000 when all of the tile work had been completed, then dividing the final payment in two increments: one when the glass for the shower had been ordered & the last after it had been installed. Rich then lost his temper & proceeded to cuss me out saying that he didn't a s*%t what other Contractors said...& so on & so forth. He changed his tune when I didn't back down & told him that he could walk away from the project if he wanted to & that I would just hire someone else. He agreed to my proposed payment schedule & gave me a fake apology for cursing & losing his temper. I just wanted my bathroom done, so I agreed to let it go. They were also supposed to leave me the leftover Tile that I payed for once the project was complete, Rich had one of his guys pick it up knowing that I requested that they leave it, my guess is Rich wanted it for another project to maximize his profit. Some of the Tile was returned when I asked about where it went, but not all of it that was leftover. Even with all of that, I wasn't going to leave a negative review, I was willing to bygones be bygones & part ways on a friendly note. The final straw was when Rich came to pick up the final payment for the project. I gave him the final check & everything was paid in full, he shook my hand & proceeded to leave. I closed my door & was walking away when all of a sudden Rich rang my doorbell again. With a bad attitude & a complete change in demeanor, Rich claims "That check wasn't for the right amount, you are few thousand dollars short!!!", so he is accusing me of under paying. I told him that it was the correct amount & he needed to think about it for a bit, I had to recite all of the payments that were made to him. Then with another complete change in demeanor he says, "You're right, my mistake". Seriously...know how much money someone owes you BEFORE you go to collect it. So I would definitely Not rehire Regal Bath, just from my experience dealing with Rich. He either has some issues, or tries to take advantage of customers if they'll let him.

First Leaf/Jeremy was fantastic in responding to my need. I had a previous contractor leave me in a bad place, and Jeremy came in and made everything perfect. Urban Element Kitchen Remodel
If you are reading my review you have found your next contractor!
My family and I were dealing with the stress of moving from California to Arizona and we were scrambling to find a contractor to remodel the new home in under 5 weeks. What i found during this process was price gauging from so many other contractors until i found Quentin from Urban Element.  Quentin gave me confidence that he could do the job in under 5 weeks and on budget. Quentin communicated with me weekly and gave me progress reports/photos and never once asked for more money then what we had originally agreed on. The finish product far exceeded what I could imagine. Quentin and his crew takes pride in their craftsmanship. I would 100% recommend Quentin to anyone looking for a home remodel. Quentin if you are reading this, you still owe me a proposal to build out my home office ;-)

After researching a few contractors, I chose Golden Bear contracting to do our 3 bathroom remodels. I could not have been happier with my choice. Mike did an outstanding job. He put in new countertops, sinks, faucets, flooring, mirrors, tile, reconfigured our shower, enclosed our tub, painted, etc. He was so easy to talk to, was always available to answer my many questions, such a hard worker, very responsible, and reliable. I am thrilled with my new bathrooms. If you have any doubts, read his reviews and hire him. You'll be so happy that you did!!

Gaio Contracting Kitchen Remodel
Rick changed a boring wall with a drab window into a beautiful back door with two smaller windows on either side, including a doggie door for my four-legged kids. The difference this has made in the way the room lights up, and the access to our backyard, is incredible. The design idea was his, we were just going to put in an arcadia door... BORING!! I used him again to replace our back patio cover and that combined with the new door/wall... I love my "new room".  His suggestions are creative and sensible and I am looking forward to using him to remodel my kitchen!

George Construction Inc. Kitchen Remodel
These guys are absolutely the best! They repaired my stucco fence walls and replaced fascia on the eaves of my house (even had to build a scaffolding over my pool to do so!). They were prompt, courteous, and professional in every way.
I highly recommend their work.

Integrity Luxury Homes Kitchen Remodel
I think its fair to say that a large percentage of remodeling projects end with either a desire for divorce, to torch your contractors truck and office, or both. Not so with our most recent significant remodel,

Working with our contractor, Jerry Nowell, his office and the highly skilled and good natured subs he employed, resulted in an experience and outcome that surpassed our expectations. Jerry is a standup guy who was always keeping us updated on all aspects of the project including the good, the bad and, on occasional, ugly. If there were hold ups he was very quick to let us know why and what he had done to address the related issue.. No surprises. When we found ourselves questioning how we wanted to proceed on some aspect of the project, his experience and good eye proved invaluable in the decision process. On many occasions he helped steer us clear of making unnecessarily expensive decisions ,often showing greater concern for our stated budget than we.

Jerry has the unique gift of bringing calm to even the most hectic and potentially stressful aspects of the process. In short we can't recommend him highly enough and or begin to express our true gratitude for his professionalism, honesty and patience throughout the process. Jerry, Yvonne and all the subs, sincerest thanks.

Efficient Home Pro Kitchen Remodel
PLEASE NOTE:   Although my primary home is in the Tacoma area, this posting is about our second home in Surprise, AZ.

I wanted to do an widening of my backyard sliding glass door from 6 foot to 9 foot wide.   I am new to the area, so didn't "know a guy", but stumbled across Joe and Efficient Home Pro.   Joe came by and looked at the project and after talking to the window manufacturer, gave me a firm, fixed price for the project.   Now this involved removal of the old slider (with unknown issues about how it was installed), a new laminate header beam, new slider, and fix the outside stucco and inside drywall like it was original.  A complex project for sure.

I had the pleasure of working from home (thank you COVID-19) while Joe and team did the project.   I am pretty handy with home projects, so watched with interest as the team did their work.   I have to say that I have never been so impressed!   There were several points where key decisions had to be made and each were discussed, rationalized, and then acted upon.   To tell a long story shorter, they executed this transformation flawlessly!

But here is the best part.   Not only did they do the hard stuff with precision, but they also did the small stuff perfectly.   Every final opening was sealed with insulating foam, every piece of stucco was replaced and textured like it was new, and on the inside, it was impossible to tell that any work had been done (outside of paint).   And even better, the work space was cleaner than when they arrived.

Over the course of the project, I got the chance to talk to Joe about all his company can do, and I can say with confidence, that I now have a "Have a Guy".   And for far more than just windows.   Next step:  Replace the AC unit.

Interiors By Thomas Kitchen Remodel
Interiors by Thomas just finished a major remodel at our home in Sun City.  Our remodel consisted of enclosing the laundry room that was open in the garage.  This gave us a large utility room with a closet, sink and storage. We also moved a wall, giving us a larger dinning room and a separate TV room, replaced a glass sliding door with a single French Door. They also replaced the tile and carpet with Luxury Vinyl Flooring, installed ceiling fans and can lights.  All doors and casings were replaced and painted along with the whole interior of the home.
The office staff was a pleasure to work with and quick to respond to our emails and phone calls. We really appreciated Lindsey's suggestions when picking out countertops and stain for the laundry room cabinets.
Per our contract timeline all the work was done in the time frame presented to us.  The work crews always informed us on what they would be working on each day.  They were presentable, friendly and polite.  You could tell they took pride in the work they were doing. Our experience from start to finish was what we expected.  If you're considering a remodel, big or small I would recommend Interiors by Thomas.  You will not be disappointed!
