Best General Contractors in Phoenix, AZ

Jacquie Evans was very professional, thoughtful with her recommendations and easy to work with.  I was looking to update my home yet use the furniture that we moved from other homes.  She has eye for visualizing your descriptions and comfortable with making suggestions.  She looks at every room with a fresh eye and doable ideas.  I really enjoyed our appointment and appreciate her helpfulness.

This is our second time in 18 months using Regal Bath and Kitchens. The first time was for a master bathroom shower remodel and new kitchen counter tops (changed to granite). Great job completed on both of them in the Spring of 2017. Jump ahead to September 2018 and we had Jim and his crew install glass tile backsplash to the kitchen and both bathrooms. Ray was the installer and he did a great job and cleaned up daily before leaving. Not sure what else we'll find for them to work on, but for kitchen and bath work, I'd recommend Regal Bath and Kitchens.

Jeremy is OUTSTANDING and the other individuals at First Leaf reflect his high standards and concern for quality.  We recently had a hot water problem and that was fixed quickLy.  We had doors -- which had been beat up by years of sun and rain -- sanded and painted and they now look like new again.  Finally, we had about 15 years worth of so-called protective coating carefully removed from a wood door and it was refinished by First Leaf.  Highly recommend First Leaf Construction.

We hired Quentin Sahwany, owner of  Urban  Element, Inc to remodel our master bathroom and replace all our downstairs flooring.  Quentin meet with us, listened to our wants and together we worked out a design.
The finished project is beautiful and exactly as we discussed.  His crew did a fantastic job. It was done on time and to perfection. Since the project was completed while we were away from our home, Quentin provided us with progress notes and pictures.  He was always quick to respond to all my texts and provided answers.

Michael Conley of Golden Bear Construction just completed a shower installation for my wife and I in our master bedroom bathroom. The quality of his work is outstanding and his timeliness and professionalism was the best. I would gladly hire Michael and his company again.

They replaced our carpet to vinyl and did an excellent job. In just about 5 hours everything was done nicely and they cleaned they finished. We are very happy with the work.

Rick and his team were amazing. They were highly skilled in any job that was given to them. The attention to detail was above any other contractor I have used. They listened to what I wanted and produced exactly as I detailed.  The final  example of their commitment to customer satisfaction was how clean they left the job each and every day. First of all, I will say that we are not yet finished with our Carefree, AZ remodel. Completion will be in early October and I will follow up with more then, but I think my experience so far is important to publish.

I contacted Mike George at the recommendation of another professional in the Phoenix area. I asked him to come and walk a property that I was buying that needed some updating here and there. Well, a little updating has come all the way to a full kitchen remodel (down to the studs and bare cement), new flooring in a few rooms, paint on every wall, walls were taken down, fireplaces completed remodeled, etc. It's BIG job in anyone's book! I will also tell you that this is not my first remodel. I've redone about a dozen homes, so I have a fair amount of experience, good and bad, with general contractors.

So, what can I say about Mike George and George Construction? He is the consummate professional. He commits and delivers. He is a man of few words. He listens to his client and doesn't always say yes. That's important because, in a remodel, the worse outcome is tearing something out and then realizing that it shouldn't have been torn out at all because the vision cannot be realized. He is not always the cheapest route but you can trust that if he says it will happen, it will.

For me, time is part of the spec! Sadly, on this project, I'VE been the one delaying the project, not George Construction. They work quickly, they keep the job site tidy, and when you walk in during a work day, you are likely to see 10+ people working in various rooms at the same time. That's a pretty tough challenge - directing multiple projects in one space so that the work gets done without interruption. I am not sure how he keeps the subcontractors so well organized but it works!

I highly recommend working with George Construction. More to come when we finish our super not-so-tiny (!) project!!

Requested a full remodel for our studio with Rene at Sunny View Drywall, recommended by a friend. We are very satisfied with the price, quality, and professional installation. Rene remodeled the studio in the timeframe that he promised. I will definitely be contacting Sunny View Drywall for any other services in the future!

One of the best experiences I've had with any builder here in the valley. Jerry makes the building process transparent and clear on what to expect and where to save money if you're on a budget for building a Luxury Home. He has an experienced and responsible team that includes, subcontractors, superintendents, front office personal, and designers.

I highly recommend Integrity Luxury Homes for all Custom new builds.

I used Aldana Renovations to do some repairs to my subfloor that had water damage. Andoni came out and did an awesome job of repairing the flooring as reinstalling the laminate above it. His prices were more than fair, he was on time, and worked quickly. I would definitely recommend him.

Joe came out to fix my in-laws' door after an emergency situation where the door got busted. He very promptly assessed and helped me to navigate the process (call insurance, door choices etc) of repair. He was diligent, professional, efficient and kind. I absolutely would recommend him for future home needs.

I called him, and he gave me some price quotes for painting some doors, and the prices seemed fine. I was really considering hiring him. I also asked about painting my kitchen cabinets. No quote mentioned because he stated he needed to come assess the current condition first. Sounds fair and understandable. Then I asked him if he can come over and look to give the price quote. He said the appt would be free of charge when I asked him if it would have a cost. Sounds great. He asked where I lived. I told him. Suddenly, he cut our phone conversation very short and said he will call me back later to schedule a time. He never called me back.

BUYER BEWARE - COMPLETE truth!

Qualizona... Haha they are hands down the absolute WORST contractor company in AZ (perhaps all of the USA!)

I could not agree more with your assessment of Qualizona - they are the definition of a SHAM (due to Mike).

HIGHLY encourage anyone seeking contractor support for any project, any project at all, to make sure to NOT select Qualizona. Don't even think about it - they will do EXACTLY what Cee T said - steal your deposit, if Mike's involved, lies upon lies upon lies will be the hallmark of your communication through out your full engagement (until you just suck it up as a potential customer and realize Mike does not & will not perform work at all - then walk away realizing a fiscal & time loss, feeling beyond very dissatisfied).

With Qualizona, the only work done if Mike is involved at all, will be Mike working to test your patience & most definitely 'work' on more lies to tell customers, as well as his ability to not add any value to any project he had committed to.

Mike - Please, please, please - reevaluate what you are doing to people's lives and their homes, as well as how you significantly contribute to the public's general distrust of contractors. We don't need any more negativity when we are searching for contractors to help fix problems that occur in our home's. You are the source of the problem, Mike.

Maybe find an entry level job (i.e. a janitor, where your work will be reviewed by a manager & not let the crap you pull continually slide).

Hassan - maybe you should do what Edge Restoration did & let Mike move on to something he is more suited for (entry level for sure & something which does not allow him to lie & victimize the public). Hopefully he hasn't yet done the inevitable & ruined your business!

I'll be done with sharing the truth (again ample proof exists if needed) - I don't plan to post it online because I don't think you (Hassan) are a thief & a liar with no morals & absolutely NO ethics, which is what Mike's being consists of (20 lbs of monkey poop in a 10 lb bag)

Work began 3/2018 remodeling kitchen, master bath, flooring in 4 rooms. No exaggeration something went wrong every step. 1st superintendent quit weeks into the project. He was a big reason we hired this company We hoped it was just sour grapes but came to find near half the company left at the same time to form their own company. He was replaced by Darren who gave lip service to being the best and having no problem picking up the project. Smooth talker, good salesman, horrible project manager. Was almost never there! Only time we'd see him was damage control after we complained enough. Reached out to the owner twice & NEVER a response. He sent our concerns to the same employee we were expressing concerns over, just making things more uncomfortable. CARELESS! So with that I'll list just some of the endless problems: 1.Explicitly asked for and bid clearly stated kitchen & bath cabinets were to be all plywood construction...much of the boxes and all shelves are particle board. When questioned we got doubletalked to make it sound like we got what we asked for. 2. Signed bid said cabinets lacquered for anti-scuff & scratch. They scratch easily and the paint color transfers when wiped in some areas. Refused to do much but say the bid shouldn't say anything about scratch resistance...well it does! 3. ALL the cheap particle board shelving they put in all cabinets is chipped and there's a giant hole in one of the cabinets 4. Plumber (Dion) tightened new oil rubbed bronze tub faucet with rough tool that chewed up the finish and left without saying anything. They did replace it after enough complaints, but their billing and bookkeeping is so bad that I've no way to know they didn't double charge me for this. They couldn't/wouldn't itemize or logically explain any billing, and left things in invoices they never did. 5. Same plumber, sent to install touch activated faucet. Installed as a regular manual faucet and neglected to install electronics.Left again without saying anything. And he took the electronics with him! Then we mention they say woops, but we don't have the parts anymore, don't know where they went?? Eventually they pulled parts from a local supplier. Work but aren't an exact fit for the model.6. All 3 sinks installed leaked within 2 months...asked for a different plumber but they refused to send anyone else. 7. ALL grout used to tile master bed, bath floor, shower had to be re-dyed because the color was splotchy and just OFF. They finally go back to fix, which takes multiple attempts because if we don't point out every spot they aren't going to catch it. Still not great in a few areas 8. They DO NOT clean up after themselves! Brand-new cabinets were so filthy it took days to clean the dust and pencil marks left! They did drywall after cabinets and didn't cover so drywall dust everywhere. They didn't cover much of anything and were ok letting the dust get all over house. Front yard full of grout because they just dumped buckets wherever. Wood glue left all over kitchen floor. Didn't mask cabinets and got paint overspray on walls and left it. Cut wood in yard without covering and left a bunch of sawdust in the gravel. Cigarette butts left all over front yard. Old rusty tools and other trash left. 9.They DO NOT know how to install & grout beveled edge tile backsplash. Took 3 attempts to do acceptably, and only redid because we persisted. First 2 were so poorly done it's insane we had to point out in the first place. 10. Installed the WRONG carpet pad. We ordered high-quality carpet and wanted the quality pad to match. For comfort & the extended warranty through the same manufacturer. They installed cheap Home Depot pad. Tried to doubletalk & say it's equivalent and still have the same warranty (false) and refused to fix. Then said "I didn't know" (say this a lot) but even if he didn't, why wouldn't he ask instead of install whatever he wants? Stood our ground and eventually they changed after a lengthy standoff. We had to walk stairs with no carpet and tack strips exposed for a while... unacceptable! 11. Not only neglected to pull permits, but actively confirmed multiple times they were absolutely not required for the scope of the project...Wrong! Came to find after all was done they ARE required. This is likely to cause a mess of future issues for me. Response was essentially that permits are a money grab for the city and they never get them because it's not necessary and it's what they always do so it's ok. Licensed contractor fine with doing unpermitted work. 12. Took 2 months over projected completion date. And the only reason it's "done" is we won't have anyone from this company stepping foot in our house ever again!
