Jacqueline is awesome! I'm SO glad we found her on Thumbtack. We recently "blended" our homes and were feeling overwhelmed and wanted the advise of a professional. Merging "his" and "hers" can be a difficult and sensitive process. In addition, I had difficulty trying to merge the color scheme of our blended items. I struggled to put it all together without seeing it visually. We needed someone to give us their expertise so that we could proceed. I contacted Jacqueline and she was able to squeeze us in for a consultation . She is VERY personable and professional. We love how she is no nonsense and did not give us "fluff"- She is direct and to the point during the consultation and very patient with all my questions. We plan to use her throughout our process for guidance. I am delighted that she seems as interested in creating my home as I am. She has been in contact with ideas since our consultation via text answering any questions I have.

Regal Bath di a great job on our master bath. The only problem I had with regal bath was his referral policy did not me our standards. We refered our neighbor. Our neighbor was very happy with the job they did for them. My problem was that we never heard a word or a thank you for the referral. We can cross into our neighbors house in about ten seconds or less .  So because of their referral policy, I will not refer any other neighbor to their business again.

First Leaf/Jeremy was fantastic in responding to my need. I had a previous contractor leave me in a bad place, and Jeremy came in and made everything perfect. Thanks to both Jeremy and his lovely wife who kept me informed about what was happening, answered my questions and enabled me to complete the sale of a home! I definitely recommend Jeremy and his crew!

My family and I were dealing with the stress of moving from California to Arizona and we were scrambling to find a contractor to remodel the new home in under 5 weeks. What i found during this process was price gauging from so many other contractors until i found Quentin from Urban Element.  Quentin gave me confidence that he could do the job in under 5 weeks and on budget. Quentin communicated with me weekly and gave me progress reports/photos and never once asked for more money then what we had originally agreed on. The finish product far exceeded what I could imagine. Quentin and his crew takes pride in their craftsmanship. I would 100% recommend Quentin to anyone looking for a home remodel. Quentin if you are reading this, you still owe me a proposal to build out my home office ;-)

Our Kitchen Remodel was a long process, but the new custom cabinets, counter tops, electrical, drywall, plumbing, appliances, and painting process were finally completed.
The Backsplash, over the cooktop and counter, was the last step.
We contacted several installers from lists provided by the tile stores.
We received no return calls.
Finally, we decided to try Yelp. Our Yelp search for Backsplash installers listed Golden Bear Contracting.
We called Michael, the owner of Golden Bear Contracting.
He answered our call and said he could come out that afternoon and give us a quote.
We wanted to show Michael the tile we had selected and also the Mosaic we had purchased to go over the cooktop.
The Mosaic contained thousands of really small tiles, and we wanted to be sure Michael could install it.
He answered all of our questions about installing the Mosaic and gave us a few suggestions on outlining the Mosaic with darker "Pencil" tiles.
We decided on the spot that Michael was the contractor to do our installation.
He gave us a date about two-weeks out for the installation and we shook hands on the deal.
Michael arrived on the promised day at exactly 8am and got right to work.
The job was finished, as promised, around noon the next day.
Everything, including the mosaic, went perfectly.
The grouting and the tile sealing went smoothly and the finished product looks absolutely great.
His cleanup was spotless and we couldn't be more pleased with the results.
We'll be remodeling our master bathroom next and we had Michael look at the bathroom and make suggestions.
Turns out that he actually specializes in Bathroom remodels.
We were very impressed with our backsplash and also with his suggestions on the bathroom remodel.
We've decided to call Michael when we're ready to tackle the bathroom.
He is very professional, courteous, punctual and, when it comes to tile, he's Great.

From start to finish, we had such a wonderful experience with this company. They are highly knowledgeable with all their materials, recommended the best floor type for our family, needs, and lifestyle, while helping us get the best pricing. They have a great eye for design, and did such a clean, seamless job on the flooring throughout our home. I love how everything turned out. Amazing team! Do not go anywhere else!

If I could give Rick and his crew more than five stars, I would. Two men in his crew, Mike and Carey were personable, professional, and very thorough. I hired this crew through Lowe's to have two bathrooms renovated completely with new appliances and replacing one trashed shower and installing a new shower where a bathtub used to be. They first ensured all of the materials were available to finish the job and then they went to work tearing out the old, including an old linoleum floor in both bathrooms and they fabricated the walls out of a very expensive material that I had purchased. As they worked each day they apprised me of their progress and were very courteous. They used drop cloths liberally on every stick of furniture near the renovation and covered the floors thoroughly. Upon completion each day they cleaned their areas as much as possible. The completed job was amazing and beautiful! As soon as I acquire some more money by next year I will hire these guys for my kitchen renovation. They are professionals in every sense of the term!!

Mike and his team just completed a full renovation of our Master Bedroom and Bathroom.  Mike delivered on everything that we put in to our plan.  He gave guidance when we needed it and let us run with our ideas as well.  His team was consistent in when they showed up and we had no issues at all with the timing of the project.  We now have our dream Master Bath and a beautifully updated bedroom.  I would highly recommend George Construction for any of your remodeling needs.

Requested a full remodel for our studio with Rene at Sunny View Drywall, recommended by a friend. We are very satisfied with the price, quality, and professional installation. Rene remodeled the studio in the timeframe that he promised. I will definitely be contacting Sunny View Drywall for any other services in the future!

I think its fair to say that a large percentage of remodeling projects end with either a desire for divorce, to torch your contractors truck and office, or both. Not so with our most recent significant remodel,

Working with our contractor, Jerry Nowell, his office and the highly skilled and good natured subs he employed, resulted in an experience and outcome that surpassed our expectations. Jerry is a standup guy who was always keeping us updated on all aspects of the project including the good, the bad and, on occasional, ugly. If there were hold ups he was very quick to let us know why and what he had done to address the related issue.. No surprises. When we found ourselves questioning how we wanted to proceed on some aspect of the project, his experience and good eye proved invaluable in the decision process. On many occasions he helped steer us clear of making unnecessarily expensive decisions ,often showing greater concern for our stated budget than we.

Jerry has the unique gift of bringing calm to even the most hectic and potentially stressful aspects of the process. In short we can't recommend him highly enough and or begin to express our true gratitude for his professionalism, honesty and patience throughout the process. Tony his team literally saved me from a nightmare.  I hired someone who was getting their company up and going to make my brick wall higher in my backyard.  It was originally only 5ft tall and everyone could see in my backyard. This new company completely botched the wall and was not unstained it correctly.  I had to fire them on the spot but they've already created such a mess.  I contacted Tony to come check out the horrible job to see if he could provide me a estimate. He came out the next day and let me know what all needed to be done to correct the issue and finish the job.  The estimate was a fairly priced for the work ahead.  I agreed and he came back the next day with his team.  They had my wall done within hours which included reinforcing and correcting the problem from the first company.  He was super professional,  cleaned up their mess ALONG with the previous company mess  and the communication was great. My window job was small, (4 windows) but I am very pleased with  the quality, professional workmanship, and overall install experience.  Joseph and his crew were polite, knowledgeable, neat inside and outside my home. They were conscientious on all issues. I recommend this contractor!

We moved here a year and a half ago to a beautiful home, that I truly did love, but it had blue and pink tulip wall paper on the kitchen walls. that just had to go! And, the color of the cabinets didn't match the color of the granite counter tops. After getting several quotes, none of which would do it all (remove wall paper and paint, add crown molding, paint cupboards), Interiors by Thomas gave me a turn key quote, which was even lower than some of the other bids for just part of the job. They were here a week and made magic happen in my kitchen! Every crew member was professional, polite, and skilled. Tom was involved in every part of the job, from helping me choose the colors to work with my granite, to coming to inspect the finished job. QUALIZONA = SHADY, LIARS & THIEVES!

CONS - TOO MANY TO FULLY CAPTURE!

Mike (one of the front men / co-owners @ Qualizona) came out to 'help' with a significant water damage claim.

He is a smooth talker, he is the reason why contractors, in general, have a negative connotation associated with the contractor community, and unfortunately, I fell for it.

He quickly provided all sorts of details and stories about the high quality work which his company is known for & quick turnarounds he promised to complete to get my home back to its pre-damage state. He also spun a tale which firmly created a 'fear' environment, stating work must begin ASAP or insurance would not pay for the damages, and how he would be the only person to trust in this process. He claimed this was because insurance companies ALWAYS cheat policy holders. He also claimed the goal of your insurance company is to NOT help you, and only pay for as little as possible. ALL lies!!

Mike capitalized on my lack of experience with insurance claims, the full scope involved with the repair, and what he fabricated as he described of how things really work with insurance claims to his advantage.  

Mike created an 'us' (Qualizona & me) vs the evil insurance industry scenario leveraging the fabricated tale he told. He used this to have me sign a 'standard' & very 'contractor-friendly' contract immediately. The contract actually served to limit my rights,  granted me no ability to cancel, nor get my deductible returned, put no responsibility on Qualizona to perform work within any time period, and no time line which work must be completed by.

He stated I was in the best hands possible, that he was a former insurance claim adjuster & new all their tricks, and that Qualizona would be there any needed to help to ensure that all work would be completed within a two weeks maximum after signing the contract & paying him the deductible immediately via a personal check. As described below this could not be further from the truth.  

He also claimed I needed to sign his contract immediately to allow work to begin, and that Qualizona could begin working right then and there, while also managing the whole claim for me.

Sounded great! ... but then reality hit.

The next thing that happened was Mike received that signature on his contract, and a check from me to him (not Qualizona) for $1k to cover my deductible required by home insurance.

Then Mike was kind enough to 'get right go work' completing about $150 worth of work towards the ~$20k total damage associated with the insurance claim. He then left my home in a VERY messy state, debris was EVERYWHERE. He deposited my check, and then he completed ghosted me for about 3 weeks. ZERO communication at all - I tried calling, emailing, contacting Hassan, leaving voicemails & emails daily - no replies from any one at Qualizona was received for weeks!!

When Mike finally was able to briefly communicate, he often hung up mid conversation, and NOT ONCE did he, nor anyone from Qualizona show up as promised. He had all types of excuses ready (phone service issues, his phone breaking, his phone got lost, issues with his cell phone carrier resulting in it not working, flooding had taken down his internet connection, his truck had broken etc... the list goes on & on)...

Mike has many other fabricated tales, often ones that contradicted his previous stories - he lied SO much he became unable to recall which tales he had told me.

My insurance company reviewed Qualizona's quote and helped me understand what the scope of work that Qualizona had included in their quote to get my home back to pre-damage condition.

Only through the support of my insurance  company, and working to align work activities actually started, did we noticed Mike / his crew had only PARTIALLY completed one very minor item from the contract we both signed. The value of the work which was only  partially completed was really only worth $150 total, when compared to the contract we signed.

Mike then continued to dodge any work he had promised to complete for months. Eventually I had to just accept that he stole my $1k deductible, and I interviewed a few other contractors, picked the best contractor company from  the ones which I interviewed (they proved to be reputable, honest & quick workers, who completed the full repair in 3.5 days) .

I also found out many more lies that Mike had told as time passed. Some highlights include: Mike stated he was heavily recruited by contractor firms since he was well known & respected in the industry (in reality he really he had recently been fired by his previous employer). He did not have ANY insurance claims adjuster experience at all (as he claimed). He also told me he worked in Italy for years & knew the language, but when I asked him a very basic question in Italian, he had absolutely ZERO Italian language skills.

We had water damage from our upstairs bathtub into our kitchen ceiling and walls. Patterson was amazing working with us and insurance making sure the process went as smooth as possible and remained in the parameters of the insurance estimate.  They even had even had an issue with our supervisor not responding to us mid repairs for days and they escalated the issue and immediately reassigned to another supervisor who went above and beyond to take care of us ASAP.  I was shocked with how well they handled this issue as it certainly was a nail in the coffin and I was holding the hammer ready to swing.  They gained all my future business, not only based on the amazing repair job they did, but based on how management handled the employment issue internally to not disrupt the quality of customer service they pride themselves in.
