Rob and his team of home magicians are fabulous.  If you are looking to get work done on your home by skilled professionals then use them.  Rob and his team do it all.  I had them do electric which another contractor couldn't complete (they said it couldn't be done).  Rob's team handled it without difficulty.  I had a nice night light put in my garage with a occupancy sensor so when I walk or drive into the garage I have light.  They also installed my kevo blue tooth lock without an issue.  We are tackling issues here at my home slowly and it's great that I can book them in advance and know they will show up.

If I could select 0 stars I would. Rob the opener not only took 6 months when I was told it would be a 2 month project, every time we discussed how I wanted something he would to how he wanted. He order the wrong windows then I had to deal with it and the wrong doors, I made him change that. Anytime I questioned anything it was always my fault. He never takes responsibility for anything. Cost of the remodel was 20% more than the quote. I still have issues crack drywall, electrical that quit working, and light switches that still do not work since they were installed. Save itself the head ache and find someone else. These are all simple fixes and stated he is not responsible once he is done. So he does not offer a warranty for anything.

We hired Rob to remodel two bathrooms and lay tile in a living room.  Rob was very helpful is making recommendations and we ultimately added some painted cabinets to the job.
I'm not going to say the job went perfectly--there were a number of issues and it added a lot of time to correct a number of errors--but I'm giving 5 stars because of how Rob acknowledged and handled every mistake and made things right, without argument.   The end result is excellent and we are happy.  I'm sure Rob lost money on the job, given the rework, but I appreciate a contractor who stands by his work--and his word.

There isn't enough stars for Rob and his crew. His work is absolutely beautiful. If you are thinking about remodeling your home no need to look any further, JVR is the best.

We have had such great success using JVR contracting. We've had a complete remodel and add-on and our home turned out beautifully! We also had a complete front landscaping remodel which we LOVE and can't spend enough time in our front yard now!  Rob and his team are true professionals and have been great to work with! We're scheduling another expansion with his team now to add on a mud room and move our water lines across the property.

I was actually excited to see what these guys are made of.  A mom and pop company = low overhead right?  So I call to get a bid on my project and the mom with screaming baby answers the phone.  No problem, I give her my info and wait for her to call back when she's in front of her calendar.  I don't get a call til the day after but at least she didn't forget about me.  So we make an appointment for Wednesday between 1-2pm to take a look at one of my rentals.

Come Wednesday, I get a call from 2 unknown numbers around 1230p while I'm finishing up in Tempe.  I call back 15 min later to see who it was and it turns out to be these people and she wants to reschedule.  What?  We had an appointment for 1pm and I can be there at the appointed time (plus or minus 5 minutes).  The guy finished a bit early and so it was 15 min ago or never.  She wants to reschedule for the next day I'm off which won't be until next week.  Great.

Here's my problem with this whole situation - this was a bid for a project at a rental.  Obviously I don't live there, you can't just come and knock on the door.  Secondly, if the appointment is at a certain time and you can't make it at that time, you should be accommodating to me to try to get it done on the same day if at all possible.  The guy was available early, but now all of a sudden he's too busy to come today??

Low rent.  I'm actually thinking maybe this is more of a glorified handyman service and maybe I shouldn't trust them with dealing with load bearing walls or any major remodels over 10k.  I could have actually used a good handyman service too.  What a shame.

I decided to call JVR contracting because the Yelp reviews seemed pretty positive overall. I made an appointment for them to visit my home in order to get a quote. A man named Rob took my call and made my appointment. In order to accommodate their availability I had to take time off of work to go meet them in the afternoon. To my dismay, I waited and waited and nobody showed up. I even tried calling a couple of times to see if the contractor was running late but nobody answered. I didn't receive a call to let me know they were not coming or didn't get a call back despite my message letting them know I was waiting... This is very unprofessional and did not make a good impression. Needless to say, I will not be hiring this company.

WOW! What a great company! We are selling a property and needed some work done FAST. They were reliable, were able to get all of the random items completed from the inspection report, and all within a timely manner and really affordable. Their staff was professional, and very easy to work with. I highly recommend JVR contracting! I will certainly be calling you again when we need work done. Thanks again!

I worked almost exclusively with Rob when I called JVR Contracting.  I purchased a home at the beginning of February, and I made a purchase offer knowing that the back patio ceiling and roof needed to be replaced.  After closing on the home, I talked to Rob so that he could come out and have a look.

I ended up getting three different contractors to come out and take a look.  Rob wasn't the cheapest of the three offers, but the reason I chose him was because he seemed to be the most knowledgeable of the three when it came to re-roofing the patio.  The framing and painting don't really mean anything if a crappy roof goes on top that leaks like crazy.

Rob's crew came out on a Friday morning, and they were done demolishing, reframing, reroofing, and repainting by about 2:30 on Saturday afternoon.  I think that's pretty impressive.  I waited to leave a review until I had a friend out who used to work as a general contractor, and he approved.  My patio, which previously looked like it was about to cave in, is now a pleasant place to pass an afternoon in the shade.

Rob is a very interesting guy.  He knows his stuff, and he can pretty much build or repair anything that might exist in a home.  I talked to him a half dozen times over the course of the project, and he always had a good answer.  He was very good at communicating what to expect at every step of the way, and he was willing to work with my schedule even when I wasn't sure I could take time off of work to ensure that his workers had access to my back yard.

The next time I need any type of renovation work on my home, I'm likely to give Rob a call.

This is an amazing, customer service oriented company.  They were referred to me after some water damage due to my roof and the heavy rains this September.  Their work is amazing and their follow-through is impressive.  I plan on using them for upcoming projects in 2015 and would not hesitate to refer them to anyone.

Rob came over to the house and gave a fair and accurate quote. If you need drywall done they're the company to do it. We had them rearrange the framing in our media wall to accommodate a larger tv. It now looks like the wall came that way from the builders. Ernesto completed the work and was was extremely polite and professional. Bid to completion took about a week with three days of work. As it was a smaller job I wasn't expecting them to be able to complete so quickly. Would recommend without hesitation.

We recently moved to Scottsdale and needed some work done in the home that we bought.  Our son had used Rob and JVR and suggested we give Rob a call to give us a quote on our project.  Rob visited our home the next day and had a quote to us in 2 days.  We used 3 different sub-contractors to complete our project.  Each contractor was prompt, clean, easy to work with and completed the job in a timely fashion - and we were happy with all of the work that was done.  I highly recommend Rob, Chrissy (the scheduler) and the JVR brand.  They are very competitively priced and do good work.  Thank you, Rob, for working with us in up-dating our home.  You have our future work!

This is the second time we have had JVR do some work on our house in Tempe.  They have knocked out two walls, dry walled a room, replaced flooring, removed cabinets, and installed a window - and we couldn't be more pleased.  Rob and his team are great to work with - very professional and they all do a great job. We highly recommend JVR.
