These guys rock. I had them install a gas line for my new gas stove. Not only did they install the line but the stove too. Their quote was exceptional and work was top notch. Highly recommend.

Mountain Valley Plumbing & Heating Plumbing Service
Call someone else!!!
This company tries to upsell!!!!!. Their plumbers work on commission. They price by pre-established fees, not by the hour and recommend unnecessary services.  I was charged $2800 for what should have been $500 to $600. Their technician was here for two days. I had to call them back to ask for a different technician because the heat still wasn't working after he's been here all that time. Even after the third visit, there were issues. I called another company, and spoke with a technician who I had used before and trust. Apparently Mountain Valley recommended services that were not needed in addition to the valve replacement. They replaced all of them instead of just the faulty one. I was hustled out of $2200.
In addition, their technician hung out at my house for probably an hour, trying to help me get financing for a future job that was hugely overbid. he was asking me when I would like to begin the project and said he couldn't guarantee the estimate later.

Drain Pros Plumbing Plumbing Service
The communication with Efren and his staff was superb. Scheduling was within the timeframe I needed, and when a plumbing fixture I supplied proved to be damaged, they were very understanding about the quick 2nd trip required.  The work was professional, efficient, and clean up was very thorough.

Wheeler's Plumbing Heating & Cooling Plumbing Service
I trust Wheeler's.  Just yesterday I called with an emergency, the a/c had gone out at my rental property and the compressor is over 20 years old.  Any other company would tell me to replace it, but Brian replaced the capacitor and had it running in 20 minutes. Brian and Jeremiah have both been amazing.  They can fix just about anything and won't try to sell you a more expensive solution.  They have done a new install for me on another rental property that didn't have any cooling in place, as well as a repair at my home.  I recommend them to everyone!

Absolute Plumbing Solutions Plumbing Service
Usually when workmen come to my home I get one of two types: The one who glosses over things, glancing over my shoulder waiting for the man to show up; or the slick talker who thinks I will believe anything, since I know nothing. In a word: disrespectful. During the process of collecting estimates for my 2nd bathroom install I experienced both and more. All of them were eliminated long before their 5 to 7 thousand dollar quotes. Though the highest one offered me a senior discount. Sounds great, but giving a 47 year old womon a senior discount stings like a slap in the face! (As if the quote weren't painful enough) I tried Brothers, since I had a good experience with them before, but they wanted $75 just for the estimate. So much for loyalty.

Finally, thanks to a referral from Black River Construction, I am introduced to Master plumber Gerald at Absolute Plumbing Solutions. He listened to what I wanted, told me what I needed, assessed the situation, and quoted me a price well below the lowest quote also throwing in the tub. His reputation is so stellar, when the inspector came and saw how nervous I was, he assured me everything was probably perfect because he knew how good Gerald's work was. Indeed from rough-in to final all his work was impeccable.
Being a DIYer I was eager to do something, so when he returned to install the fixtures he was more than willing to let me assist, and patiently answered all of my questions, explaining every step of what he was doing. If I was getting on his nerves he never let on.

Months later my kitchen sink backed up, and though I had disassembled everything I still couldn't find the cause. I called Gerald late that morning and he arrived before noon. Of course one thing led to another, as plumbing does, but before the day was out my kitchen AND bathroom sink were better than before. When I asked him about my clogged laundry sink he assured me it was something I could repair myself. He told me what I would need, and how to do it, adding he would help me over the phone if I had questions, or would come out and fix it for me if I decided to give up. Pretty cool, huh?

I will hire him to update the plumbing in my parents house, and he is more than willing to work out a rather pain-free price estimate. He has great integrity, is extremely skilled, and is very thorough. I trust his work and his word without question. His easy-going manner makes him quite approachable, and a pleasure to deal with. I really could go on and on...but when you hire him, you'll see for yourself.

Just another five start review for Gold Leaf. Efficient, responsive, Covid-responsible, friendly. Couldn't ask for more when you have a dire plumbing issue. Nicholas is a really smart guy, good dude. Highly recommend.

Pipecraft Plumbing Plumbing Service
We hired pipe craft plumbing because they had great reviews. Upon our first visit we were charged $175 to replace a toilet seat that we provided. Our other issue that we were hoping would be fixed was that the tank hardware wasn't working properly. After speaking with the owner Jacob, he let me know that he would send a plumber out to rectify the situation. He came out today and Jacob the owner informed his plumber that we would have to pay $215 to have the hardware fixed so that the toilet didn't run anymore. It just doesn't feel right.

TCF Emergency Plumbing & Heating Plumbing Service
Thomas responded to my emergency request to fix broken pipes at my rental. He scheduled for 12pm, but didn't show up until 3pm.

After surveying the damage he reported 4-5 pipes had broken and recommended replacing the main as those repairs would probably lead to more issues once the system is pressurized. He said that he could probably do it all for $3500 and he had an opening the next day (which was odd because he had just finished telling me he had over 200 calls for emergency repairs. I agreed to the repair and said I was calling my insurance company, but unless he heard back from me, plan on the repair.

I called my claim adjuster and he said the prices he quoted were astronomical, even considering these were emergency service fees. The price I was quoted was almost 300% higher, but as long as he could justify the charges, they would pay. I called Thomas again to make sure he felt good about what the adjuster was saying and he agreed that it would be no problem. He then said $3500-4200 range and he'd need have up front.

The following day, he had not called me for payment, and know he said it would take most of the day, I reached out at 11am to check his ETA. Thomas said he didn't hear back from me and now he was booked until the next week. I was obviously disappointed, but everyone else was booked so I asked when he would be able to get there and he said, he could probably squeeze it in Saturday (it was weds). I agreed and he said, Okay, and it's going to be $4800. Huh? Three phone calls, and the price had gone up $1300. I reminded him of his original quote and asked what changed? He said he just didn't know what he was getting into. I said You are replacing all of it...it's not like you're going to find extra breaks. This is a 1400 sq foot 2 bath house. He replied: This isn't going to work out. I asked why? He said I just didn't understand that there could be issues that cause the price to go up and he didn't want to work on it because my expectations were unrealistic.

My expectations were for him to show up when he agreed and do the work for the quoted price.

At this point I told him I thought he was irresponsible and unethical and promised to let Yelpers know what he did, since that's how I found him and then hung up.

After I hung up, he called me twice and text me 80 times----EIGHTY TIMES. Can you say unstable?

I believe he was price gouging and saw an opportunity to take advantage of an urgent need. When he realized insurance was involved and he couldn't justify his charges, he backed out and left me and my tenant hanging and inconvenienced.

Here's the kicker: After finally finding another plumber, he found just 2 breaks and fixed the issue for $250. Wow---at least there are some ethical people out there.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup Plumbing Service
Rotorooter was of wonderful help to me  when my sewer line was blocked by tree roots, they told me when I  called they would have a tech available within two hours and would call when half an hour away. To my surprise they called back within 15 mins and had a tech over to my house within another 15-20. Speedy service was greatly appreciated as I was desperate!!! Doug the technician was very professional and informative on preventive measures and advice along with fixing my problem at the quoted rate before he even snaked the line. I would definitely recommend this business to anyone who needs plumbing assistance. Doug you are awesome!!!

Done Plumbing & Heating Plumbing Service
Our entire sewer line had to be replaced a week after our wedding. This is one month after laying new sod and installing a new sprinkler system in our front yard. Needless to say, it was a stressful situation for us. Done did an amazing job of preserving as much of our yard as possible. This isn't the first time we've had Done at our house. We had a leak in our ceiling from a busted pipe. Roots in our lines. And we've just hired them to install a new furnace and water heater. Every new event that happens, we call them because we know they will do a good job and stand behind their work! They're also amazing people. We haven't met an employee yet that we've disliked. I couldn't recommend them more!!!

Total Handyman Plumbing Service
Found Dan through Yelp, and I was very pleased. Called him that morning and while we had some small hiccups due to weather-related scheduling, he did show-up later that afternoon. I had a terribly backed up sink, but he took care of that and was in and out pretty quickly.

A very trust worthy man who delivers solid service. He's not out trying to scheme you by any means. He's more about helping you and making you happy, then onto the next job. Give him a try.

AAA Service Plumbing, Heating & Electric Plumbing Service
I had these guys come out in 2011 to replace a water heater - OK service and price at that time.  They left their tag on the water heater with a phone number.  Flash forward to this week, when I had two (!) water heaters fail at the same time, probably due to a water pressure spike.  Bad luck for me.

I called AAA because their tag was on my old heater, what a mistake!  Believe what you read on the one star reviews.  They quoted me $4,000 for one new water heater, a new expansion tank, a new pressure relief valve, associated plumbing, and installation.  They would not provide an itemized list of charges, the tech said because they don't do that (WTF?)...   I knew I was getting ripped off, but I needed the work done promptly, so unfortunately I went ahead.  I just looked up the parts cost on line, which were hard to determine, but could not come to more than $1,300.  Two techs came out, one guy was explained as in training.  They both were there for 4 hours for the install.  Even counting the trainee's time, that means I paid $1,700 for 8 hours of work.  I'll do the math for you - $212 per hour!!!

Maybe these guys are OK when they are doing routine things for you, However it seems like they are vultures when they think they have you over a barrel.

I signed off on the work on their Ipad, and was told I would receive a bill on my e-mail.  That didn't happen.  I called them today (3 days later) and received a bottom line bill.  I then requested an itemized bill.  I will update this post if/when I receive that itemized bill.  However, based on other posts, I am not holding my breath!

Update 11/16/18:  I called the office one week ago and asked for an itemized bill.  I was told that is not their policy, and if I wanted an itemized bill I would have to ask the owner.  I left a message with my request.  One week later, no itemized bill, and no contact from them.

Yesterday the Jefferson County building inspector was out.  I received a copy of the application that AAA filled out for my inspection.  The form has a box for total valuation.  AAA's total valuation was $2,000!  I will pursue this issue with the BBB!
