We had several plumbing backups and a scope revealed issues with our main sewage drain - under the floor in the basement. The first three plumbers looked at the video and agreed that pieces of the cast iron pipe had broken off and were sitting in the line causing the backups. Their quotes were between $5-6K.
When Tim O'Connor viewed the video he said that the pieces weren't cast iron (too thick), but that the line should be replaced. His quote was thousands less too! During the job we came across our kitchens' antique grease trap and he even rerouted the line to connect it to the new main drain line.
His crew included a Master and apprentice plumber who worked nonstop. They didn't play music or goof off and they showed up when they said they would! Hats off to Tim O'Connor and his team. My neighbor recommended them to me (he's done two major projects for them) and I'll recommend them to anyone who asks for a plumbing recommendation.
December 2012 Update
We woke up to drip, drip, drip... another leak in our 60 year old galvanized pipes. So I called at 6:30am and Tim came out to patch the pipe that day. We knew that pipe replacement was an eventuality and luckily with new plastic piping reduced the cost and time. Tim's crew did a great job and I'm loving have all new pipes and no rust in our water! Thanks Tim!
