TCF Emergency Plumbing & Heating

I was in an absolute bind and emergency this week. Luckily I found TCF via Yelp. I found Thomas, who was able to get to my house the same night. He was efficient and very polite. Highly recommended if you need emergency help!!

Random pipe backup. Was flooding the laundry room and spreading through the back wall to new carpet. We needed an emergency plumber. After reading various reviews and landed on Thomas and TCF. On a Sunday morning he was there within an hour. He quickly diagnosed that it was a grease backup from our kitchen sink causing the laundry pipe to backup.  He snaked it, and had us run hot water and Dawn down the pipes. 45 minutes later, it's fixed. Thomas is great, and it was my Mom's house. He made her feel at ease and didn't charge much for emergency plumbing services. He met the dogs, and my turtle even.
Good guy, good company, fast response, fair pricing. He saved our new carpet.

Super professional and communicative. Helped me out during an emergency and knew what they were doing. Will call them in the future for all plumbing and boiler needs.

TCF emergency plumbing did an excellent job. No upsell , no oh you have to replace the whole unit. TCF came out to fix a boiler of mine that went out. I had no heat or hot water. Called on a Sunday and they offered to come out that day. It was not an easy diagnosis but TCF figured it out. TCF was more interested in fixing the problem not trying to figure out how much money they could get out of us. Most companies today really are more interested it getting your money rather than just fixing what needs to be fixed.
         I would completely recommend TCF emergency plumbing.

Working with Thomas on major problem with old sewer line was fantastic! He is great at communicating.We have been blessed finding Thomas and his crew.

TCF came to our rescue this past week. They came within 2 hours of my call and quickly took care of the problem. The owner communicated with me before starting the work and let me know when everything had been completed. Will definitely call them again with any issues we have.

Incredible service. Had a heating emergency during the recent cold front/snow storm. Thomas showed up quickly, immediately diagnosed the issue, and fixed it--all within 30 minutes. Absolutely recommend--and this will be my go-to for any issues going forward!

We had an unfortunate plumbing situation happen late Friday night. I called this company Saturday morning and they were able to to come out by the afternoon, and mind you, two hours early! Dang thanks. Professional, nice, open guys. Thomas and Shawn offered to explain the whole process and offer future solutions that suddenly made perfect sense. Instant defer to these guys and can't recommend highly enough

Thomas was amazing!!  Came out on short notice for our boiler bring down. He is so polite and knowledgeable.  His work was amazing to get our hot water back and he works quickly. Highly recommend him and we will definitely hire him in the future!

Thomas responded to my emergency request to fix broken pipes at my rental. He scheduled for 12pm, but didn't show up until 3pm.

After surveying the damage he reported 4-5 pipes had broken and recommended replacing the main as those repairs would probably lead to more issues once the system is pressurized. He said that he could probably do it all for $3500 and he had an opening the next day (which was odd because he had just finished telling me he had over 200 calls for emergency repairs. I agreed to the repair and said I was calling my insurance company, but unless he heard back from me, plan on the repair.

I called my claim adjuster and he said the prices he quoted were astronomical, even considering these were emergency service fees. The price I was quoted was almost 300% higher, but as long as he could justify the charges, they would pay. I called Thomas again to make sure he felt good about what the adjuster was saying and he agreed that it would be no problem. He then said $3500-4200 range and he'd need have up front.

The following day, he had not called me for payment, and know he said it would take most of the day, I reached out at 11am to check his ETA. Thomas said he didn't hear back from me and now he was booked until the next week. I was obviously disappointed, but everyone else was booked so I asked when he would be able to get there and he said, he could probably squeeze it in Saturday (it was weds). I agreed and he said, Okay, and it's going to be $4800. Huh? Three phone calls, and the price had gone up $1300. I reminded him of his original quote and asked what changed? He said he just didn't know what he was getting into. I said You are replacing all of it...it's not like you're going to find extra breaks. This is a 1400 sq foot 2 bath house. He replied: This isn't going to work out. I asked why? He said I just didn't understand that there could be issues that cause the price to go up and he didn't want to work on it because my expectations were unrealistic.

My expectations were for him to show up when he agreed and do the work for the quoted price.

At this point I told him I thought he was irresponsible and unethical and promised to let Yelpers know what he did, since that's how I found him and then hung up.

After I hung up, he called me twice and text me 80 times----EIGHTY TIMES. Can you say unstable?

I believe he was price gouging and saw an opportunity to take advantage of an urgent need. When he realized insurance was involved and he couldn't justify his charges, he backed out and left me and my tenant hanging and inconvenienced.

Here's the kicker: After finally finding another plumber, he found just 2 breaks and fixed the issue for $250. Wow---at least there are some ethical people out there.

I called Thomas this morning because my heater went out and it's getting very cold out. I was nervous I would be buying a bunch of space heaters. Thomas answered right away and said he could be at my house at 5pm to help. Before he arrived, he asked me questions to figure out the problem. I texted him photos and model number info. We were able to identify the broken part so he would have it ready right away. He gave me the price upfront too.
He arrived right on time, wore a mask, put on booties and got right to work. It's 5:37pm and he's already gone and my house is getting warm again. I highly recommend calling Thomas when you need anything HVAC related (probably plumbing too). Thank you, Thomas!

I am amazed by the customer service provided by Thomas. We had a plumbing emergency and Thomas fit us right in quickly fixing everything. He even came back later that same day to fix an unrelated issue. We could not be more pleased.

TCF is one of the best.  The service and responsiveness was the best.  Thomas came by and fixed our issue quickly .  He didn't like how it looked so ran to the hardware store to get some more piping to make it even better.  He didn't have to but wanted it to be perfect.

I was able to reach Thomas immediately on what was an urgent water leak situation that affected safety.  He was able to get there within 2 hours of my call.  He diagnosed the problem and called me with the solution and the cost.

Work was completed promptly and he helped the tenant remove a soaked rug!

After a week of plumbing issues and a plumber having already come out to try and fix our issue, TCF Emergency Plumbing was able to identify, explain, demonstrate, and correct the problem. Very professional, great communication, and very personable. Thomas, the owner, saved us so much time and money during his trip out. This company holds high integrity and I highly recommend them to get the job done and right!!!

Thomas the owner answered my request on Sunday and scheduled me for the next day. (So good response time, which is why he didn't get 1 star).
I told him both in my message and on the phone when he called me, that units (there are two rental units next to each other) HVACs are working, but blowing hit air. They are gonna need Freon. He said okay.
Calls me 30 min later, he inspected the first unit and yes, it needs Freon, but he doesn't have any with him, and won't be able to get back until later that week.
After processing this whole thing, i reach back out with disappointment and say I guess I'm upset because i explained all this to you even sent him a screen shot of our conversation.
He proceeded to tell me that he has to first evaluate the situation.  I get that, but at least be prepared and or upfront with the customer from the beginning.
Moral of the story, make sure you ask Thomas upfront if he carries Freon before you book him.
ALSO... he never even went to the next door unit. He felt threatened by me because i told him unless they (his other crew) showed up today with the Freon (because they are the ones that have the Freon on their trucks) I'd be sure to mention it in my review.  So he went from a five star to a one star to a three star... because he didn't charge me a service charge.

When our DIY work triggered a leak in our sink shut-off valve, TCF came through on a Saturday evening with a minimal after-hours fee. I was able to speak with someone right away, then sent photos of the issue via text and got a quote in minutes. Even better, Thomas was at our home in just under an hour to get everything taken care of for us.

What really sets this company apart is how polite and thoughtful Thomas was at every step of the process. From small stuff like putting on shoe covers to walking me through what the issue was and making sure I saw the final product to ensure satisfaction. He was calm and assured in his work and operated diligently to fix the issue. When you frantically call plumbers on a Saturday evening, it's a real crapshoot to see who comes to your door. His friendly demeanor put me at ease immediately, and I was able to breathe a sigh of relief before he even completed the work.

If you're in a similar situation (DIY gone awry) or simply need a proven professional who knows exactly what they're doing, don't hesitate to call TCF for help. I'll for sure be calling in the near future to upgrade all my shut-off valves through the company. The work is impeccable, and I will sleep better once we work through these repairs. I think this will be my go-to from here out. Wooo!

So grateful for the professional, prompt and kind service provided by Thomas.  He came for an emergency refrigerator water leak and returned to also help with replacing valves in the kitchen.  I appreciated his calls to let me know when he would arrive.

Lots of small odd jobs, all of them easily and quickly solved, cleaned up and explained everything. Would recommend to others and will use again.

Thomas came out late on a Sunday night during a busy week after a deep freeze and helped us identify the source of a leak. He was reasonable on price and honest about the amount of work required. Honest, professional, timely. Very impressed!

We had a pipe burst during the cold snap and all the plumbers were backed up several days. We were able to get TCF out the same afternoon. He was running ragged with all the pipe bursts happening all over town but he got our pipe replaced quickly and we got our water back on by that evening. Sure, the price was higher with the emergency situation, but it beat going without running water or having to find a hotel. What a lifesaver!

Thomas is personable and professional, and very good at explaining things--always good when you're worried about frozen pipes, as we were.

I had a middle of the night water heater problem on one of the coldest days of the year. Thomas answered the phone immediately and was able to solve the problem over a Face Time call. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and extremely patient, especially since water heaters and plumbing are not my strengths. He also followed up with me the following day to make sure everything was going well. His service was very helpful, trustful and caring.

We noticed a leak in our basement and figured out it was related to our master shower. Thomas got us scheduled quickly and, when he arrived, was able to confirm the pipe and find the exact location that it ran up the wall. Then he made a relatively small cut in the drywall and fixed the issue (replaced a section of pipe with a nail hole in it from improper baseboard installation) with really minimal damage; and all in one trip. We were definitely lucky that it wasn't a bigger issue but Thomas' understanding of how the plumbing routed through the house made all the difference. Absolutely recommend TCF!

On one of the hottest days of the year I called TCF regarding a problem with my AC.  Thomas took my call and we scheduled a visit the same afternoon.  In advance of the visit I got multiple status update texts. Thomas actually showed up an hour early, identified and addressed some minor issues and the AC was back to working condition.  Thomas did not come with an intent to replace my system or take advantage by overcharging for unnecessary repairs. I was highly satisfied and impressed with TCF.

Super knowledgable, nice, quick and efficient. He troubleshot and caught a few minor problems that could become big air conditioning and furnace problems in a quick 45 minutes. Really friendly and flexible. Even came out first thing on the morning on the weekend for seemingly base rate. If you need air conditioning and furnace help, I would definitely recommend TCF!

We used our hose earlier today and found out we had a busted pipe leaking into our basement bedroom. I called Thomas and he was able to end my sentence already knowing what the problem was. He was able to come in just an hour and completed the work super quick too. He did a great job, thanks again! Will definitely use again for any other plumbing needs.

Our two-month-old built-in LG oven stopped working in the middle of preparing Friday night dinner. On Saturday morning, we used Yelp to request an electrician, and Thomas was the first to respond. He arrived just before noon and quickly identified the problem as a loose neutral wire. Although he said he did not work on appliances, he helped my husband remove the oven from the wall and then fixed the loose wire--the product of a bad install by the CostCo appliance team. He also did not charge anything since it was such a small fix, but we paid him anyway. We would definitely recommend Thomas and will very likely be using him again for our other electrical, plumbing and HVAC needs.

Due to my own negligent error, I had a spigot burst behind a wall and was pretty much shot.  I contacted TCF through Yelp on a Saturday and heard back almost immediately with a quote and available times for same-day service.  Thomas came out, diagnosed the problem, and walked me through the repair process before even getting started to make sure we were both on the same page.  After running into some behind the scenes issues (as with most old houses), he was able to find a workaround and address the issue.  He went above and beyond by adding an emergency shut off for the spigot as well. Thomas was extremely polite and knowledgeable on so many other items throughout the home too.  He took the time to answer all my questions (even those not related to the initial leak).  I feel like Thomas does work in your house as if it was his own.  While most contractors will echo that sentiment, Thomas actually practices this concept and I was truly grateful for it.  TCF's prices were extremely fair and, even when we had to add extra work, it didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of.  I will be a repeat customer for sure and would encourage anyone needing a home service professional to reach out to TCF.  Thank you, TCF!

My shower/bathtub was clogged on a holiday weekend and Thomas came out within a few hours to unclog the drain. He was incredibly thorough and explained what he was doing so I was updated as he progressed. I was very impressed by his expertise, professionalism, and enthusiasm and would highly recommend him. He'll be my first call next time I need a plumber or heating technician.

I had a clogged toilet in my Denver home and guests were arriving in a few hours. Thomas was able to come over and fix the issue before they got to the home.
