AJ Home Improvements & More Bathroom Remodel
Hello, this is my second review for this company.  Again, they did prompt and good quality work for me. This time I had a more simple screen door repair however, I am remote and needed the repair done in a hurry.  I called the only guys I trust.  Seriously.  Jorge and Armando are a skilled team but equally important they continue to offer the BEST customer service.  They are very respectful and have high integrity in addition to their skill in the trade.  Highly recommend!

Regal Bath and Kitchens Bathroom Remodel
We just had our bathrooms and kitchen remodeled by Regal Bath and Kitchens. We couldn't be happier with the results. They have a great crew! They're very professional, always arrived on time and they did a fantastic job!  If I wasn't happy with a specific detail, they immediately without hesitation corrected the problem. They aim to please! The painter, Todd, was amazing!  He was such a perfectionist and super respectful and friendly! Loved him! They all did a good job cleaning up before leaving for the day.  Overall, very pleased with the whole experience. Thumbs up Regal!!

What a beautiful remodel. Our bathroom was octagon shaped from the 90s and completed outdated. Urban Element did an amazing job updating not just the master bath, but the closet and gave us a beautiful laundry room our home did not have.

Mark Steven Construction Bathroom Remodel
Our house was completely destroyed on the inside due to a pipe burst over 4th of July weekend. We are a young family and have never had to deal with anything like this. I was calling EVERYWHERE and was not getting a call back. In fact, people were turning us away. I went to the Better Business Bureau and I found Mark Steven Construction. I called and left a message, and Mark himself contacted me back straight away. Off the bat he was extremely communicative and honest. Aside from insurance related repairs (which was truly gutting the whole interior) he also helped us with some upgrades we decided to do at the same time.
I found it invaluable that never at any point did we feel taken advantage of during a very hard time. In fact, Mark gave us great advice on how to save and reassured me through the whole process. He took our ideas, and often made them better. If there was something structurally that couldn't be done without a high ticket price, he offered reasonable alternatives.
From putting in a doggy door to going out of his way to find us a fabricator to get our granite in on time (during a pandemic!) he was great. I'm sure he has my name in his phone as lady who texts a lot and not once did he every get bothered by my questions.
While he does not exclusively work on insurance claims, it's worth noting he has tons of knowledge on them as well and helped us understand that process.
His team members were extremely polite and always greeted me with a smile and an update if I popped into the house. I trusted them all completely with our space.

We are so happy that we found Mark Steven Construction, and without hesitation will tell others to use his business as well!

Rise Above Remodeling Bathroom Remodel
We needed a partial  bath remodel and went to the home show looking for help.  We found three companies and seriously compared them.   Colton came to our home to assess the job and prepare a quote.  He wrote up a quote that was higher than the others, but we decided to go with them because the product they offered through their show room was nicer in quality than the others.

This company does not employ in-house construction workers.  They sub-contract all the work.  That explains the higher cost.  However, we were very happy with the work.  Colton was our salesman, Jaram coordinated the construction workers.  He gave us a timetable that worked for us and we were happy with the way the timing worked out.
We needed the garden bathtub removed, a glass brick window reduced in size by half and a walk-in shower built to replace the tub.

The contractors who came to our home were very professional and efficient.  We were most impressed with Johnny, who did the tile work. There were 2 mistakes: first, in how the tile was drilled for the plumbing; second it became apparent that the dye in the tiles was not consistent within the box of tile.  This showed up after the light in the room changed and tile was set. There were 5 tiles that didn't match the others.  Johnny came right out and fixed the problem.  Luckily we had extra tiles for him to work with and he was able to save us from having to buy another box of tile.

When you are not well-versed with the construction business in our area, it is virtually impossible to find people to contract to do work.  When the job involved requires different specialties such as construction, plumbing, and tiling it is risky for the homeowner to hire one contractor to do all the jobs.  Without word-of-mouth recommendations, I became overwhelmed with my search.  It was expensive to hire Rise Above for our job, but we are happy with the results and I am thankful they supplied us with high quality workmen who did a great job!

White Builder Bathroom Remodel
White Builder Inc just completed remodeling our kitchen. They removed the pony wall and installed new countertops all around with new kitchen sink and faucets and a new cooktop. Then they painted the cabinets. The planning took around a week then one week later they started work and finished everything by the end of that week.
They did an excellent job. Most importantly Ellen was there every day resolving all the little issues that inevitably come up and she explained to her workers what to do. She's remarkably calm and positive and it was quite relaxing to have her in charge of the project. The workers were all very professional, very helpful and they did an excellent job, each in their respective specialties.
In the end we received a beautiful kitchen at a reasonable price, quite quickly and without headaches. Everything was just right and we highly recommend them.

Royal Construction Services Bathroom Remodel
Gilbert, from Royal Construction Services, was great to work with. He helped me replace 3 wood porch and carport posts at my older home.  Unlike the old posts, the new posts have been installed on post bases, which should help keep them dry and secure for years to come. Gilbert was fast, flexible and affordable.

Peters Family Construction Bathroom Remodel
We did a full remodel on our house. The original contractor kind of bailed on us and didn't finish some of the work. We called several companies to finish the job for us. Zach and Terrell finished our project in a matter of days. They came out and gave us an estimate and we were fortunate they could fit us in between jobs.

They installed a custom built in electric fireplace with designer touches. The work turned out amazing. In the past year we've probably had over 50 different companies in our house from plumbers to contractors to painters, etc. Peters Family Construction would get our #1 ranking out of all of them.

Solid Home Renovations Bathroom Remodel
Danny of Solid Home Renovations quite simply does WHAT he promises to do, WHEN he promises to do it, and is ready to correct anything that isn't exactly right (which doesn't happen often).

He responds to phone calls and texts quickly. His prices are fair and competitive.

We just had him complete our second (much smaller) project and we can't say enough great about him and his crew and the results he delivers.

Independence Home Remodeling Bathroom Remodel
We needed our master bathroom shower remodeled to accommodate a wheelchair user. After hearing about all the problems people encountered on bad jobs we were paranoid about choosing a contractor.  We decided to go with Independence because they specialized in handicapped remodeling.   We met with Mike to go over our project,  got a quote, and set a start date.  His crew arrived on time and were courteous and efficient. When a few project hitches came up (which they almost always do) they were resolved to our complete satisfaction.

Independence charged a fair price, honored their quote,  started on time, did an excellent job, finished on time and cleaned up after themselves.  What more could a customer ask for?  I would recommend them without hesitation.

Re-Bath and Kitchens Bathroom Remodel
We are replacing our master shower and scheduled our appointment but also went to visit the Peoria showroom to get an idea ahead of time.  The showroom is beautiful, but there are no prices.  Not even a ballpark, or this shower cost xxx to be found.  We knew there were three styles of shower materials - tile, natural stone, and what I'm going to call plastic.  It's not plastic, the sales guy had a name for it, but it's basically synthetic with the look of textured tile.

The salesman arrived 10 minutes early, but right away it became clear how this was going to go.  Two prior estimates took about 30 min each, and I was willing to commit an hour today.  This was like a sales scene out of a movie... I'm not one to spend a lot of time chatting, but clearly step #1 is the get to know your customer phase.  I was working from home, so I don't have a ton of time to BS, so I took him into the bathroom, showed him our shower and said we would like a quote on each of the three options you have, tile, stone, and plastic.  Seemed simple enough... little did I know what was coming...

First he informed me that he needed to measure and draw up a schematic of my entire house.  Really, the whole house, for a shower replacement?  Yes, I was told, permitting in some cities including mine require it.   I suggested that we go through the quote process first, because depending on that we might not even need to draw my entire house, but was told, No, we have to do this first.  So for 15-20 minutes he went around measuring and completing his drawing.  At this point I had about 40 minutes more I was willing to commit.  He let my wife and I know that he would not be done by then, but could likely finish up without me.

When my wife asked if the stone was less expensive than the tile, he informed us that the stone was the most expensive, and in our case would be at least $15,000.  (At this point I should mention that we have a phone booth shower.  Very basic, standard installed by the builder, 3 1/2 feet by 3 1/2 feet.  It's not a tub conversion, it's not big, it's literally the size of a phone booth.)  I let him know $15k wasn't going to work for us, so we just saved time not having to price out the stone.  He added that tile would be about the same, so I said we could skip that one too.  Little did I know that he would still be in my house an hour later.

At this point he went to his car for 15 minutes or so, presumably to write up the estimate.  He returned and we began phase 2: Shame the customer into thinking they must buy the shower or else risk 'hundreds or thousands of dollars of damage' if they don't.  Pull out the ipad, and we were shown a presentation that started with a video of our bathroom, and him doing the voice over pointing our the flaws in the shower.  Nothing new here, yes we are replacing it.  Then the presentation goes into the We are the best and only company that can do this portion, with several slides dedicated to maps of the US covered in dots, logos of companies they work with, and all the reasons why we should be using Rebath and not a competitor.  I am told by friends of mine (who are in sales) that most people love this.  I hate it.  I don't care how many people you have helped country wide, or who you partner with, I just want a shower.

Next we got a demonstration on why we shouldn't use tile (although we had ruled it out, and also they sell it?) because it is porous, leading to massive potential water damage.  He had us pick the shower door (didn't see options, just said 'frameless'), specific shower head and handle (from pics), and the actual color and style of the material for the shower.

Finally, we reached the closing which included the classic line, So besides price, is there any other reason we wouldn't be able to get a deposit and get this scheduled today?  Me: Oh we are not buying a shower today, we'd like to know the price.  Finally he slowly turns the ipad around for the big reveal...  $18,200 but with incentives could get down to $16,500.  WTF.

This review isn't a knock on the sales guy but more the process that Rebath operates under.  I'm sure he was doing what he was told to do.  Their products look great in the showroom.  Their crews probably do good work (although read the other reviews here too).   But I will never buy something that I need to be sold or talked into.  And we ruled out stone and tile due to the cost of $15k, then spent an hour picking colors and styles for him to come back with a quote of $18k?  This is a basic shower.  No seat/bench, no cut outs, nothing special.  There was no breakdown of the price, just the total.

So...word of caution:  If you go with these guys, prepare to invest a lot of time - even more time than it took to read this review.  Maybe my review will save you the 90 minutes I won't be getting back.  They will be your most expensive option.  My two other quotes before Rebath were half the cost.

Re-Bath and Kitchens Bathroom Remodel
Re-bath completely redid one bath and converted a tub/shower combo to a stand alone shower in a second bath.  The bath that was the complete remodel also had a tub/shower converted to a zero-barrier shower with grab bars.  The design consultation was quick and thorough.  Even though I already knew much of what I wanted, the designer had no problem going with the flow, but also making suggestions that would work well.  The cost was higher that doing the jobs piecemeal, but much less than other companies were charging.  The biggest plus was that we were scheduled within 8 weeks and no one else could get to our job for 6 months.  I also liked that none of the work (like electric or plumbing) was subbed out.

On the first day we met the very awesome Alex Chavez, who was the lead on our job.  He texted daily (before arriving and end-of-day wrap-up), got to the job site early, asked exactly the right questions, and boy does he work quick (but never sloppy).  I've honestly never seen a tub come out and go out the door so quickly.  The crew also did a great job of protecting our floors, kept dust to a minimum, and cleaned up daily.  He had several assistants at various times.  The job finished right on schedule, and it's gorgeous!  I don't think I've ever had a remodel project (and there's been plenty) go so smoothly.  I would highly recommend, and will happily do business with them again.

Desert Prestige Designs Kitchen & Bath Bathroom Remodel
I had a wonderful experience with Trinity Home Center! I couldn't believe how beautiful this kitchen turned out, especially since I had done business with them completely online! Yes, you read that correctly. I was not impressed with the cabinet businesses in Cleveland, OH. A friend recommended Trinity, and although I was skeptical at first I decided to give it a try - I had nothing to lose. All it took was a couple of video sessions - Anthony requested to see the entire kitchen and asked for several measurements. He then emailed me with a few different designs and made some recommendations. I placed my order and had it shipped to Cleveland where I had a local installer hang the cabinets. The installer was blown away by how well everything fit. Anthony was absolutely wonderful to deal with throughout the entire process. He was very patient with me and immediately accommodated many requests to change the design. I can't emphasize how much you will love your kitchen after doing business with Trinity!!
