Our heating went out in the coldest part of the winter, and our house got down to just at 60 degrees. I found Wise Mechanical and sent them an email as it was late at night. Joe, the owner emailed me back first thing in the morning. Kevin came out and spent over 30 minutes just looking at the wiring, as I watched. Did all the testing and thought it was the board.
Joe and Kevin came out to install the board and found it was just a switch on the side that had been turned off from the previous AC company that came out this last summer. They charged me for their time, and I happily paid.
I am thrilled I have found my heating and A/C company, and will refer them to my neighbors and friends. Joe stands behind his work, and is a very ethical family man with a son in the same school as my son.

I have used Taps, the owner, for over five years for all my HVAC needs. I followed him from his previous company once he started his own business. I live in an older home with a goofy system that had vexed the other AC techs that tried to work on it -- but not Taps. He is the most get it done contractor I've ever worked with. He always does everything he can to keep costs down without ever sacrificing quality.

Rusty came to our rescue late on a Friday afternoon, after we received an exorbitant quote from another company. He was friendly, professional, and helped us out with some coolant to last us until he could get the needed parts and replace them.
Since we were experiencing 100 degree days without air conditioning, that was a huge blessing! The other company was going to charge us at least 1/3 more than Rusty and they did not supply us with emergency coolant. Pretty bum deal when we had used them a few times, and come to find out we were overcharged for a bandaid service than an actual fix.

At the crack of dawn, when I was up to get ready for a trip, I discovered there was no water flow at all in the house. After checking for leaks, checking the valve etc, I reached out to Sam at the Neighborhood Plumber via Yelp and before he formally opened, he called me back (at 6:45am!) and had a technician here to check within a half hour. One hour later, we had the Pressure Reducing Valve replaced and I was back in business! Sam then made himself available to address a few other smaller plumbing needs I had. Professional, fast, efficient and kind! I feel grateful to have found Sam.

Would give zero stars if possible because ZERO is exactly what we got from this company. Spoke with Steve & per his request I sent him pictures and written details of about the job scope so he could prepare a relatively solid quote and let me know if the job was too big, too small, or something his company would take on. Said he would get back to me with estimate. Well, that never happened. My husband gave him the benefit of the doubt because it was close to the holidays. Nope, a month goes by and the holidays are over and still nothing. No reply to my telephone voicemails, no reply to my text messages, no follow up contact whatsoever. As I said to him in my text message of January 12, 2023, 'obviously our money is not green enough' for him. And even with that, he did not have the decency to respond. He obviously does not know the definition of Dynamic, but their business name is royal BS.

Saturday night (late) I was getting warm when I checked the thermostat to see if the central AC was on and yes it was, but it was blowing warm air. Oh no! So now my air conditioning decided the day it was 109 degrees to stop working
I called Sunday afternoon and spoke with Mark I told him about the issue with my AC and he said the earliest he could get here was sometime Monday. I was fine with that even tough it was 98 degrees in the house. My wife and I were OK but a bit worried about our dogs and how they would take the heat.
Amy ( Marks wife called this morning to confirm that I would be home. Mark came around 12:10 asked a few questions, and went right to work. After diagnosing the problem, he came back, and told us what was wrong, what needed to be done, and the cost to have it repaired. I agreed to the repair. About 1 hour later he was done! I believe he was here for a total of thirty minutes and my central air conditioning unit is now working and blowing cold air. Happy dance!!!
He located, tested, and fixed the problem (Bad Capacitor) quickly and efficiently. I can sit back now and relax in my fully air-conditioned house and enjoy the cool air as I write this review.

Originally I would of given them 5 stars when I first got my ac unit installed. Service at first was great and very professional. They talked me into buying the maintenance package/service and I did. Then when it was time for the work to be done the tech refused to get up on roof to check unit due to pigeons being on my roof. I got the pigeons taken care of and no available times to come out. Pigeons were on roof when new unit was Installed and they didn't have an issue then but now that it's only maintenance needing to be done and already paid for they have million of excuses of why they can't get up on the roof. When called about getting a refund on maintenance package I was told I could only get $8 back lol although I sure as hell didn't pay $8 for the maintenance. A tech was scheduled to come out between 12-4 and after waiting the 4 hours I received a call at 4:19 to let me know the tech was an hour and 20 minutes away from my home and would be making his way there. At that point I canceled due to them being unprofessional and not even giving me a courtesy call to let me know they were running late. Stacy (receptionist) she even got an attitude when I stated my frustration about the situation. I would definitely make sure to avoid them as you'll be getting a run around with any problems or concern that may come up and getting drained of money.

Recently scheduled multiple houses to get serviced. My main house was serviced fine by a knowledgable technician. The other property is where I had major headaches. My first appointment I was called during the time window and asked to reschedule. My second appointment a new technician performed the wrong services where a unit he was not supposed to touch was impacted such that many components failed and I had nearly $2K in expenses to repair it.
I tried to handle the issue directly with the Owner (Mark), but he blew me off. When they ignored my issue, I turned to the BBB for help. I worked with Robert Moreno and checked in about every 10 days with very little feedback. After 30 days I escalated my issue to the director of conciliation Michelle Marin and got the following reponse:
Hi Larry,
Thank you for reaching out to BBB. I apologize that your complaint is taking longer than expected. The business has communicated that there may be further delays due to matters outside of their control. If you wish to pursue your complaint with other avenues, you're more than welcome to do so. Please know that as soon as we receive another update from the business, you will be notified. Again, I apologize for the frustration behind the delay.
Matters outside their control? After 30 days of putting this off they can simply state that and get off the hook? I looked at Brewer's AC facebook page and saw that just 6 days ago they posted a picture for International Beer Day, but during that time didn't have time to respond to a legitimate customer complaint. Appears they have been paying their dues for 38 years so why do anything about it? Gotta pay those execs somehow...
It's too bad Brewer's has lost their touch with their great service. I would really avoid using them until they straighten things out over there.
