they rock! called at 10 am, they came by at 1:30 pm (yes, I was the lucky recipient of a cancellation), the guy immediately knew what was wrong, was super nice and super careful not to damage anything. Then he drove around to find the needed part (yes, I paid for that time which is only fair), came back, installed and cleaned up. Super impressed!

Jac rocks! She extracted a comb from one of our toilets with complete ease and magic.  Also, when I mentioned that we had low water pressure in our new bathroom, asked if she could take a look. Half hour later both sinks spouting like Niagra! Encouraged me to take pics to show to my contractor and explained how they had been improperly installed and where the problem lay.  Oh! And she called me back late in the evening and was at my house before 9:00am the next morning. Prompt, supremely efficient and more than capable for any plumbing job.  Call her first!

They helped me with some leaking valves. Arrived the day after I called, finished the work quickly and didn't overcharge. I look forward with working with them again when the next inevitable plumbing disaster takes place.

Ben was great!  I gave him a call in the morning for a quote,  he was able to schedule me in the same day and come out in the afternoon.  I had two tasks that I needed help with:  fixing a spigot and moving the washer and dryer out so I could clean underneath as we had an overflow issue.  He was polite, efficient and professional.  In just under two hours everything was done.  Ben was an absolute perfectionist. He made sure to test out the washer/ dryer after he reconnected both. He noticed that the washer was shaking a lot during the extraction process.  So he took extra time to level and make sure everything was in good order.

Will definitely be reaching back out for any future projects!

We had issues with our toilet backing up.  Finally we called Wizard. Always a wonderful experience.  Joesph came out and was polite and knowledgeable.  He quickly got to the root of one of the many problems.   He showed me what he saw with the camera. Explained what the issue was to both me and my husband (who was on the phone) and together we figure out our best plan of action. He helped me figure out which toilet to buy and will come back out to install.  Yeah for wizard plumbing.  Yeah for Joesph.

The reason we're giving it 3 stars is because Yahia and Mo deserved 5 stars when, a couple years ago, they installed a water heater. Last year, they diagnosed a leak and repaired the pipes that caused the leaking from a bathroom shower. (Earlier, another plumbing company mis-diagnosed the problem and quoted us an astronomical fee.)
So when we had a kitchen sink problem we immediately called them (they gave us two numbers). I left messages and no call back. A couple days later, I called again on both numbers. Again no response.
I tried their website: not up.
Is everything OK? We miss you.

Sad I can't remember who scheduled our appointment and who came to our home, but if it was 2 different people, they were both easy to talk to, friendly, and knowledgeable. I'm a little ashamed to post the before and after pics cuz they gross me out, but I'm so happy they were able to fix the clog and make our tub usable again that I'll post. Our tub started out as clogged and not draining, then went to regurgitating water and debris when we ran the dishwasher or washer. Thankful they were able to fix it the day they came, stuck to their quote, and came during the specified time frame. Thank you, Oakland Rooter & Plumbing!

I called Advanced Trenchless after 2 other companies could not clear my sewer lateral.   They worked HARD until it was cleared.   I also engaged their services to replace my lateral, and they did a fantastic job.   All employees were helpful and courteous.   I highly recommend Advanced Trenchless.  They were a pleasure to do business with.

Overall, the company has a good reputation with a lot of happy customers. Our experience was good, but I was surprised at how expensive it was. From what I understand, they charge $182/hour and that's what you pay, even if it takes 10 minutes to do the work. Fair enough. In our case, I called about our ground floor toilet, and when their plumber didn't fix it the first time, the owner came out and fixed it quickly.  While he was working, my husband asked me to see if he could look at our 2nd bathroom toilet as well, which he gladly did. He replaced a few parts and was on his way. From start to finish, maybe a 30 minute visit. When we received the bill by mail, it turns out we were charged for 1.5 hours ($272) plus parts ($30). I called to ask why the bill was so high, and was told the extra half hour was because the second toilet wasn't mentioned in our initial call. I don't doubt they are great at what they do, but I don't agree with adding extra charges with no disclosure to the customer before the work is done.

Frank came and helped us with a blocked sewer line at very short notice.  He was professional and clearly explained the different options he would try and the price for each.  During the process he explained in detail what he was doing so a non-plumber like myself knew what was going on.

We had Kenny replace a kitchen faucet for us. Prompt clear communication, fast scheduling, fair prices and did a great job. Highly recommended!

We have used A.T. Weber for our Alameda homes for many years.  Everything from replacing a well pump to garbage disposal repair to replacing hot and cold water pipes.
They have always done an outstanding job, for a reasonable price (even pointing out many things that could be done cheaper and giving us discounts on the changed work).  They are honest and dependable.  One of the best contractors I have dealt with on home repairs.

They were still open during this pandemic, truly do appreciate what they were able to help me out. Called them and had them fix my water heater. Found the solution right away. Highly recommend 5/5

It's never fun to come home to a clogged kitchen drain, especially on the Sunday of a holiday weekend.  We reached out to a b drain and spoke with an extremely professional representative that scheduled Raffi to come to our house the same day.  Not only did Moses arrive earlier than expected but he was professional, straightforward, and great to work with.  He also walked us through each step he took, making us feel very confident in the work performed.  I highly recommend him!

I put out a request for a plumbing repair and received a reply and reasonably price quote within 5 minutes. I accepted the quote and asked to schedule the job. It turns out that they had two person plumber crew who was 30 minutes away.  They came, finished the job, cleaned up and were prompt, courteous and friendly. I would hire Joel C and his company again.

Charlie was great.  He came to our house, replaced 3 sink washers.  They work great now.  He was a little hard to get on the phone but since this clearly was not an urgent matter - It was not a big deal.  We certainly will use him again.

I have a  house built in 1926 and I have owned it for 28 years and in that time repair people have come and gone. I have yet found anyone for any length of time that stayed in the area that I wanted back to do additional jobs. I think Berkeley Home Repair with Damon and Daniel are people you can trust, inviting into your home ,to get a job done in a timely and efficient manner. I had ceiling fans and lights installed and they were working with a combination of old and new wiring. What a web of problems they encountered but handled. The finishing work, they covered gaps between ceiling and fan fixtures , the extra stability of the fans, and the way they were able to make them quieter was beyond the average.  I'm very pleased and I'm looking forward to putting together other projects that we can work on.  I had a number of bids for my job, his was not the least expensive, and Damon came across professional, experienced, good references,  I and pleasant to talk with

Nice people, good prices.  I had to replace the P-Trap in my kitchen.  I decided it was time to replace the same in my bathrooms.  I went back to Crown Hardware where I bought the first P-Trap and they were out of stock.  I went to Balboa and got two sets for the price I paid for one at Crown.  Next time I will go to Balboa Plumbing first.  Thanks.

I had an emergency plumbing situation today (two days before an open house!) and they came out right away. I couldn't believe it. They got the job done and were out in less than an hour. Quoted the job over the phone and stuck to it. Only issue was that they left me a big mess to clean up.
