I had a very simple, but annoying problem with a locked-up single lever shower valve. I called Alansi's late in the day, and Jasmine from the office took my information, then 30 minutes later Moe, the plumber called to ask what the issue was. I was able to give him the make and age of the shower valve (from 10 years ago). He arrived the next morning first thing with a replacement (he researched it - the original was discontinued) and he was here less than an hour carefully replacing it. The old valve was definitely broken. He was expert at trimming out some tile around the old valve, replacing the valve with the new one, and was professional and friendly throughout. The bill was exactly what he predicted it would be the evening before, and of course he was careful to explain then that it was an estimate that might change once he got into the job. I'm grateful for Moe and Jasmine and having a new go-to plumber for all my needs!

Responsive and the person who came knew exactly what was wrong, had manufacture parts in his truck and fixed it. Can't beat that.

Always courteous, neat and punctual. They do the job quickly and clean up the mess. Complete satisfaction.  Culturally competent.  I don't know what plumbers are supposed to charge but I haven't felt overcharged by them. Happy repeat customer.  I hope I don't have more plumbing problems but if I do I will call Alansi.

We found out the hard way during the recent heavy rains that our sump pumps stopped working properly when we discovered that our basement had flooded. I called three plumbers who all came out to give us estimates. It was easy to schedule the visit for the estimate with Yazmin. Once we met with Mo, it was clear we were going with Alansi's. He was thorough, pointed out some deficiencies with the way the previous sump pumps were installed, and explained to us the work we needed to get done. He also answered our questions in terms we understood and with a good attitude. The estimate also came out to be almost exactly the same as that of another plumbing company that is highly rated on Yelp. But the plumber sent by that company could not have been more apathetic or disinterested in our issues or our questions, and that made us nervous about the quality of work he would do.

Mo went above and beyond by squeezing us in on his schedule to make sure that our pumps were installed before the next round of storms. He and his assistant worked steadily for several hours and tested everything thoroughly before they left. We will definitely call Alansi's again in the future for any plumbing needs.

We've been using Alansi's for our plumbing needs since 2015-first in San Francisco and now in Berkeley.

This week Omar came out and added a dual-valve shut off under our kitchen sink, installed a water purifier, and replaced the leaking hot and cold water valves in our laundry room. He told us ahead of time what he was going to do, gave us estimates, protected our hardwood floors, and got to work.

Our house was built in the early 1900s and then gutted and rebuilt after a fire in 1996 so there are lots of surprises (and shortcuts) when it comes to some of the past work. Under the sink, the pipe he needed to cut to install the dual-valve shut off (so that we could turn off our dishwasher in case of an emergency without having to turn off the water to the sink) was too close to the cabinet wall. He expertly removed the cabinet wall, made the repair, and then fitted a board to close back up the wall.

He had to cut out an old box and put in a new box in the laundry room. To do this some of the sheet rock needed to be removed. He told us and gave us the option to leave the pipes exposed as the plumbers don't do Sheetrock work. Knowing someone would be finishing the space he could have just opened a great big hole. Omar made clean cuts so that patching will be a simple DIY job.

Absolutely love that Omar told us what to expect, gave us options when what was in the wall didn't match, completed the work we needed in a timely manner, and left the work area spotless.

This is a busy time of year and I had a fairly basic set of tasks that a handy person could probably do themselves.  I'm not handy.  

My cousin who is a real estate agent recommended them and they responded asking for us to send photos of the issues with a description of the problems.

An appointment was scheduled for two days later with a timeframe of arrival from 1-3.  They called around 1:30 to say they'd be arriving around 2.

Ivan showed up wearing a mask and booties.  He cleared three leaky faucets, unclogged a low flow faucet and fixed a shower that had an internal pipe leak all within 90 minutes.

Pay was all digital via credit card.

I call them when I needed my sinks unclogged and he educated me on what snake I needed to let the technician know next time to use.  He was neat and cleaned up after doing his job. I have used their services for years and never fail, they helped me every time with efficiency and professionally.  They are my go to plumbing company.

These have been our go to plumbing guys for years now. Just wanted to give a shout out to Mo on the great job he did on fixing our drains and sewer lines. It started with our dishwasher backing up that led to snaking out the kitchen drain. This then caused sewage to come up in our downstairs bathroom. It turned out our main sewer line was clogged that Mo quickly diagnosed. He snaked out our main sewer line and got us up an running again. It's one of those things that looks routine but only if you know what your doing. Mo knows what he's doing. Much more positives to list as well. My family thanks you!

I used Alansi's Plumbing to fix a gas leak in the garage identified by PG&E.  Of the three plumbers I contacted, Alansi's was able to help fix the problem.  Ivan bought replacement parts, and was familiar with turning on and off the gas lines and the water heaters.  He also had a meter that help reconfirm and identify the leak before he started and after to make sure the leak was fixed.  All in all in took 3 hours to pick up parts and repair the leak.  Yaz at the office was also helpful in scheduling and getting me the quote and invoice for my files.  I will use them again for future plumbing issues.

Discovered all our 20 year old plumbing shut off valves in the bathrooms were no longer working correctly. Mo did a great job of installing all new ones, better quality and very fast. It was a building-wide water shutoff so other neighbors asked for some help and he nicely advised or took more work. And then he tightened and. cleaned out my sink fixtures. The price was very reasonable! Highly recommended. Will definitely use them in the future!

Needed help for two problems -- tricky hose placement for new washing machine and leak behind very old toilet - all in a very old house with lots of complications.

I don't know if I got this name correctly - Colin or Khalid - but he was just outstanding. So helpful - explained everything so well and gave me options and big picture understanding of short-term and long-term. He fixed everything and was just great!!

I had used Alansi's Plumbing for years in my family bussiness they will go above and beyond to fix your plumbing problems. Other companies will make excuses for the problem and try to charge you more, not Alansi's they are honest and loyal to your plumbing needs.

I had a plumbing issue in my home this week and I called Alansi Plumbing, Moe came out he is curteous, and patient, he took every step to discover the problem with my shower drain. He was able to clear out the drain issue.  I was very happy.  

I have to say these are my go to guys they are the best at what they do and truth be told they know exactly what to do.

I have used Alansi's plumbing for several issues.  They are professional, knowledgeable and address the issues.  They unclogged my drain and replaced a part that was incorrectly installed by my previous contractor.  I had mentioned that this was the second time this year this sink had gotten a clog and they took extra care to ensure the area was cleared.

Needed to replace a leaking water main valve.  Sent pics. Got a reasonable quote and the issue was resolved quickly, on time and within budget.  Ivan was courteous and performed an excellent job.  I will call again for my next job.

Old buildings such as our Edwardian in San Francisco are full of charm but they can also present plumbing nightmares! We experienced one recently when the 100+ year old main bathroom pipes in the upstairs unit started leaking into my downstairs unit. Our usual plumber was not available. What to do?

Turning to Yelp, Alansi's' Plumbing checked out with excellent reviews and comments about fair prices. So we hired them.

I want to second other positive comments and especially thank Khaled who managed the job (with support from Mo the second day).

The company responded promptly to our call for help and Khaled arrived to start the job less than an hour later. He quickly identified the problem and went about the multiple steps to replace the leaking pipe after removing the sheet rock in the upstairs and downstairs units. This turned out to be a time consuming two day job. Khaled was courteous, clear in explaining his work process, dedicated to completing the job in a timely manner and very clean in managing every stage of the job.

We always go to Alansi's Plumbing for all of our plumbing needs.  Why? Because they're professional, don't try to sell you something you don't need, they know what they're doing, and they're good people!  Most of our interactions have been with Mo who's a real pleasure to work with.  He's had to help us with some pretty nasty situations (sewage backup into our downstairs bathroom!) and always puts us at ease with his plumbing knowledge, suggestions of what we should do and what's needed and, most importantly, the time he takes to make sure the job is done right!  The office staff is pretty fantastic too!  I appreciate their efficiency when taking our calls and how they always try and get someone out to the house the same day.  That's a big plus when you can't use the toilet due to a plumbing problem!  If you can't tell by now, I highly recommend Alansi's Plumbing for all your plumbing needs!

We had a clogged sewer line and now we don't. I am really happy with the job. good communication during scheduling, reasonable prices for the job and prompt service.

Toilet backed up sunday night and spend couple of hours talking to many shady 24hour service plumber decide to wait until Monday morning to call Alansi's was the best decision.  Alansi's plumber is very professional and help me clear the block toilet and extend the chain in the tank for better flush and he also quickly fixed my dishwasher clog .
They have really reasonable price, no need to check around.
Will be using them from now on.

Noe was awesome! Not only did he make it out the morning after our hot water heater broke, he was also able to install a new one that day. Sadly that heater was defective but he took the time to nag the manufacturer until they allowed him to exchange it for us. I'd highly recommend them and will definitely use them for plumbing issues in the future.

I am a property manager in San Francisco and have worked with Alansi's on multiple occasions. They know what they are doing and charge a fair price. Recently, I worked with Mo on a particularly challenging job and he went out of his way to accomodate some tenant scheduling issues. We have an older house, have used Alansi's for leaking, backups and various repairs and replacements and have always found Yehia and his crew to be extremely expert, honest, reliable, flexible, courteous and fair. They have always exceeded our expectations and treated our home as if was their own.

Called alansi to look at constantly running toilet. Turns out the other plumbers who came out installed  a defective fill valve. They changed it, installed a new connector and made some other updates. I would have started with alansi in the first place but they don't provide service after 5pm. Appreciate all their hard work though

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL - Apparently Some Customers Are Not Good Enough

Alansi gave me a verbal estimate for a laundry sink install. It took them over a week and many phone calls to get a final written quote. The final bid said extending the dryer gas line and installing a faucet was suddenly optional work (more $$$), which was not optional in person. I called the contractor who agreed the gas line should have been included but not the faucet because we didn't explicitly discuss it. I said, umm, of course anyone installing a sink assumes it includes a faucet install! Yes, my issue was drainage but if I'm buying a new utility sink I'd expect a faucet installed and not just an empty tub! Apparently this common sense perspective was unpersuasive and he said the manager would call. An hour later I get an email back (see photos) saying they don't want my business because I'm changing the terms (not true).

I called them back and let's just say it's clear there is something they don't like about me as a customer. It seems to be going around these days. The whole experience was demeaning and very unprofessional. Keep in mind, they didn't come back and say Hey, it looks like there is some miscommunication about the faucet install. It will cost an additional X to do it. That would've been reasonable. Instead, they just told me to shove off.

From other reviews it looks like they do good work, if they approve of you as a customer. Well I didn't pass the test, so I'll never know. Food for thought when you select your next plumber.

UPDATE: The owner called the next day and left a voicemail hoping I would delete this review. When I didn't, he left his comment below. With regard to his comments.

1-We did not do any work for you.
Yes, that's true - I never said you did. This review is based on your treatment of me as a prospective customer and misleading me on the quote.

2-You did not agree to the contract price.
Yes, you are absolutely right because any normal person getting a sink installed assumes that includes installing a faucet.

3 -you did not want to resolve discrepancy but rather argued how the additional work should have been included in the bid.
See #2 above. Also, I would have loved to resolve the discrepancy but you decided that sinks don't need faucets and I was trying to fleece you. Instead of offering me an updated quote, you just told me to shove it. Good luck to your other customers.

4-You had been rude on the phone and raising you voice.
Well I wasn't happy spending weeks to track you down only to find out that Alansi sinks don't come with faucets and when I raised this issue, you dropped me like a bad habit!

5-you made threats to write bad reviews.
Absolutely because you have horrible customer service and you don't think installing a sink includes a faucet.

Finally, I don't think I'm out of bounds trying to find the best plumber at the lowest price. If it hurts your feelings to discuss/negotiate pricing, perhaps you should find a new line of work.

Third time using Alansi's... what can I say it's an old Victorian apartment with old plumbing and no matter how careful we are, tub gets slow after a while. Every time very responsive, considerate and they get the job done. Thanks!

Called for service for our clogged toilet and Donte showed up with within an hour.  Issue resolved within 15 mins.  No fuss and reasonable price unlike other plumbing company.  Will definitely use Alansi again in the future.

We were trying to get a refrigerator delivered but found out that our valve was broken and needed a plumber to come ASAP.

Alansi was amazing, even helped identify the problem through pictures, so we were able to figure out what was happening--something a lot of plumbers won't do over the phone, and instead will say they can't give you a price/diagnosis unless they're on scene, but there's a $$ charge to go out and inspect it

They were even able to schedule us an appointment within the hour! Just great. If I could score more than 5 I would. Hopefully won't need a plumber again anytime soon, but if I do, definitely calling Alansi's again!

Replaced our sump pumps a few years back. Every other plumber wouldn't help with sump pumps, or would only look at ones they had installed. No nonsense, advised what needed doing, gave a quote and got on with the job.

The reason we're giving it 3 stars is because Yahia and Mo deserved 5 stars when, a couple years ago, they installed a water heater. Last year, they diagnosed a leak and repaired the pipes that caused the leaking from a bathroom shower. (Earlier, another plumbing company mis-diagnosed the problem and quoted us an astronomical fee.)
So when we had a kitchen sink problem we immediately called them (they gave us two numbers). I left messages and no call back. A couple days later, I called again on both numbers. Again no response.
I tried their website: not up.
Is everything OK? We miss you.

Amazing service and customer service! The young lady who answers the calls (jasmine I believe- if I'm wrong sorry!!) is so kind and very helpful. Literally had someone out to my house within the hour! Dante arrived so fast and was so sweet to my three year old who was just peppering him with questions and wanting him to play. Dante is one solid, solid dude. Dante fixed my leaking shower head and saved me from yet another ginormous water bill yay! Dante unclogged my basement drain which had mysteriously stopped working. The culprit- a wee toddler sock!! Dante is outstanding. He was super patient, kind and engaging with my three year old, Dante arrived so fast and was so professional and fixed all our plumbing problems in the blink of an eye. Thanks so much and if I ever run into more plumbing problems I'm calling you guys first'

We had a problem with our sump pump.  The technician, Mo, diagnosed the possible causes, gave us some options & costs and fixed it, all in a couple of hours.  He was very professional, especially with regards to wearing a mask and social distancing, which we really appreciated!

If we have another sump pump problem, we'll call Alansi again.

This place is so easy made an appointment for today and Ivan he's pretty good in working in my leaking kitchen sink fixed it good and also took care of my bathroom shower that is clogged and the water was really draining slow and he fixed the pipe with full of hair that's been clogged. Anyway I gave him 5 stars for working within half an hour.

Had a great experience with Alansi's Plumbing. Yehia scheduled me an appointment right away to fix a toilet and Dante did the repair quickly and efficiently. Very good communication and easy to work with. I loved that they emailed the invoice right away--usually you have to bug people for it. Will definitely call them again.

I highly recommend Alansi's Plumbing, we hired them to help with a shower that wasn't getting hot enough anymore. The first interaction was with the office staff and they were very responsive, friendly, and professional. They asked all the right questions and specifically asked for some photos of the shower to prepare for the appointment. They gave us an early heads up, based on the photos, that two visits might be necessary because the parts for this shower (from a company that went out of business 10 years ago) would be hard to find.

At the appointment they correctly diagnosed the problem (thermostatic cartridge needed replacement) and also provided some guidance on alternative solutions such as complete replacement when we asked about that. We ended up ordering and installing the broken part ourselves, and that fixed the problem right away. All throughout, the people at Alansi's were super helpful and we would highly recommend them.

We had previously had another plumbing company (Heise's) take a look at this problem, and they were more expensive but did not diagnose or fix the problem, just mucked around with the supply valves a bit, which raised the temperature marginally.

Alansi's Plumbing is about as good as it gets. I have worked with several contractors and none compare to Yehia and his team. He decomissioned an old boiler for us and installed new gas lines for our furnace, as well as, installed gas lines for a gas fireplace. Alansi's Plumbing nailed every part of the job:

- Prompt with scheduling and delivering an estimate
- Showed up on time, every single day. Wore masks, shoe covers, etc.
- Communicated any changes in the job, helped problem solve with me to find the best solution
- Created a clean work environment and left the workspace clean every day
- HIGH QUALITY work. When I show people the finished job, they say the work looks awesome (who says that about gas lines?)
- Great, friendly team, and best of all fair pricing. Alansi's wasn't the cheapest but for the quality it was well worth it.

Overall a great and honest plumber. Would hire again in a second.
