I've had Damon & his crew (Carlos, Carlitos, Marcos, Samuel) do a couple jobs for me now (these things tend to snowball, ugh, lol) & they've always done top-notch work.

I had a fan in my master bathroom crap out on me, which was weird, since I only bought my place 4 years ago, it was newly remodeled, & I even remodeled some more on top of that. My wife pointed out it wasn't working, but it looked new to me, so I popped the cover to find out...not new at all. New COVER over a fan that was a year younger than the missus. Uh oh. The old lipstick on a pig boogie from the prior owners/ seller. Damn. Hate getting hoodwinked.

So, I think well, better check the 'new' fan in the guest bath too.  Pop THAT shiny, nice cover & ...same drill but even OLDER. Some mid-80's (I think) giant 13 circular fan they don't even make anymore. Double ugh.

Last stop: laundry room. Final fan, pop the cover...whew, it's actually a new-ish fan. 1 outta 3 ain't bad, right? /sigh

So I put out the feelers for an electrician (I had 2 dead outlets, 1 indoor, 1 outdoor as well) & after doing the online quote thing w/ Yelp, I got in touch w/ Damon @ Berkeley Home Repair. Funny dude, super helpful, quick & responsive. He schedules his electrician, Carlitos, to come out ASAP, for what I think is gonna just be a basic fan install & outlet fix job. Nope.

Carlitos goes into the attic & discovers the ducts are all wrong. 3 fans running thru 2 ducts, both bathrooms on the same 4 line, & laundry room on some weird 3 duct. Now, you can get away with 4, but 6 is code & preferred, & every fan has to be on its own dedicated/ independent duct, or you're just blowing moisture from room to room & into the attic. Not good. We crawl the attic together & confirm I need a 3rd roof penetration & new ducts. So much for cheap & easy. Damn.

Damon adjusts the bid (as gently as possible, considering my costs just went up almost 10x) & I wind up with 2 brand new Panasonic Whisper Quiet fans (amazing. Almost TOO quiet), a new roof penetration & cap, new independent 6 ducts for each fan, an excellent sheetrock patch & paintjob on my guest bath ceiling (prior, old-timey fan was just way too huge compared to current models) AND Carlitos fixed both dead power outlets (one of which turned out to be an arcing short/ broken wire inside the wall, which we were lucky to catch before a fire).

All the workers were amazing to work with & did great on their specific parts of the now much larger order. Everyone worked quickly &, despite the gig snowballing far beyond the expected, Damon priced fairly & had the work done as fast as possible with minimal intrusion & inconvenience (crucial during these pandemic work from home times)

Tho it was obviously a bummer to have a small job turn into a much bigger & more expensive one, I always felt like I was in good hands with Damon, his communication was clear, direct, quick & honest, & the outcome was excellent.

I'll definitely be using Berkeley Home Repair for future work, since homeownership often means nasty surprises like the one I got ain't all that rare, unfortunately. Heh. At least now I know who to call to get sorted fairly & quickly.  Thanks fellas!

Updating to 3 stars as Damon reached out shortly after I posted my review, and passed along my message to the crew that did the electrical work.

We want to reach a solution and are waiting to hear back from Damon's crew now.

Being home for nearly half a year due to the COVID pandemic had me itching to take care of all those home repairs/upgrades I've been putting off.  I called and spoke with Damon who has a great sense of humor. He  fielded my many questions and concerns and throughly explained the charges.  I received the estimate and once approved Carlos and his crew of sons came within the week and upgraded our home beautifully!  

They installed two ceiling fans, changed 4 light fixtures, repaired some bum outlets, removed my microwave and installed a shelf in its place per my request, installed a new garbage disposal switch, added a motion detector light outside of my home, cut a cabinet to add space for my new taller fridge and I have them coming back to install a ceiling fan in the living room.

They were efficient, safe and in masks the whole time. They also did a pretty good job cleaning up after themselves and disposing of the old materials i no longer needed. My only suggestion would be to get boot covers for their shoes as an extra safety and sanitary precaution.

They changed my outlook on contractors being flakey. I'll definitely use them for future home repairs and recommend them to my local fam and friends!!

Damon is responsive, reliable, personable and professional. Even in the midst of his wife having a baby, he responded to my message.

We wanted to go from a gas stove to a Electric stove, Damon responded with enthusiasm.  Setting up the time for the Electrician to come and asses the job was easy and all online.  Pricing was perfect.  
When Pedro arrived (Pedro called to confirm I was home and ready) we went over everything that was going to happen.  It was fast and easy.  Communication was solid from the get go for both Damon and Pedro.  When it comes to clean work, Pedro was a total pro.  The whole job went exactly as planned.  I totally will be rehiring again for future.

I cannot say enough nice things about Damon and the team!  We had some minor leaking during the heavy rains, and they quickly and thoroughly repaired our windows and a crack in our stucco.  They were courteous, responsive, prompt and on budget.  I will definitely be going back when something (inevitably) needs fixing in our 100 year old home!

I'm bummed to write this update because I really like Damon and for the most part we had a great experience. However, when his crew was working on our kitchen they installed a water spout behind our fridge and it never worked properly. It always had flow problems and over time there was only a trickle that came out. They came out one time to fix the problem and the water flow improved a little for a couple days but went right back to not working. I called several times and they said they would come look again but they never scheduled anything and after a while my texts and calls weren't even answered. This was probably a year ago and finally I decided to just hire a plumber to fix the problem. He said that technically it was installed correctly but they used a 1/4 waterline instead of a larger one (I believe they replaced with 1/2) and the type of junction they used are notorious for clogging which caused the problem. I am only taking away one star because #1 our experience was still by and large positive, #2 plumbing is not their specialty and they didn't do anything wrong, just didn't do it the way a plumber would recommend, and #3 I would still absolutely recommend them and would still use them in the future. I am just disappointed that this went on for so long and we had to spend $700+ to fix the problem.

Berkeley Home Repair came through with a top notch professional installation of a backup Home Manual Transfer Switch and structured cabling enclosure at a very fair price.

Damon's team are Humble, Knowledgable and are absolute diamonds to the local community. I am grateful and thankful for the Berkeley Home Repair experience and I have no hesitation nor reservation in providing a very positive reference for their services.

Damon and Carlos came to the rescue when we recently needed to update the plumbing in our laundry area. Damon provided a clear, itemized quote and slotted us in as soon as possible. Thankfully, they were slated to take care of the plumbing and electrical issues in our laundry room because we also discovered major leaking under our sink. Turns out, the team that refreshed our house before we purchased it did a superficial job that could've caused a lot more damage. Carlos fixed the issues in both areas quickly and professionally.

I highly recommend Damon and his team as he's transparent, fair, and thorough. He may not be the least expensive option but you get what you pay for. We'll definitely be using him and his team again!

We had the team paint the exterior and interior of our studio shed, as well as stain the wood around the door. They did a great job and were a super easy to work with, answered all my concerns and the end result was beautiful.

Damon's team was kind and efficient. They were honest and communicative the entire time and did a great job problem solving during a relatively tricky, and extensive, tub and shower redo. They're a wonderfully personable team and we'd definitely hire them to help us with future projects!

We had a great experience with Damon, Carlos, and the whole team at Berkeley Home Repair. We wanted to reclaim a small corner of a kitchen where an old water heater, long since removed, once stood. Carlos & his team removed a small partial wall, patched up the drywall, removed some old exposed piping, and reflooring the area, all in about four hours. The work was completed to our pre-agreed specifications and at a fair rate.

Communication from Damon before & after the job was prompt & clear, and Carlos & his team were friendly & helpful throughout the work day. We appreciated that they covered the floors & furniture in adjacent rooms (not just the kitchen) with plastic sheeting before work began, ensuring barely any dust was left behind after the work was complete.

I rarely leave Yelp reviews, but had to submit one for Damon & his team at Berkeley Home Repair. We'll definitely be using them for future home repairs and I recommend them without reservation.

Damon and his team helped us out with a few electrical issues in our new house and also some advise on other projects we had in mind.  I really liked everyone that I spoke to and I would love to give them 5 stars and say that I'd recommend them to anyone.  Unfortunately their communication wasn't up to par.  I struggled a few times trying to get a couple of small projects scheduled, but the nail in the coffin came last summer after I'd had another company install an A/C system and I needed electrical upgrades for it.  I spoke to Damon personally and he said he'd call me back later that day to get me on the schedule.  He didn't.  It was the heat of the summer and I needed this addressed ASAP, so I found someone else to do it.

They did good work and I trusted them, but when I needed them the most they dropped the ball.  As much as I liked them I couldn't risk this flaky scheduling, so I won't be able to do business with them again.

After having trouble with multiple other contractors (including one that took 6 months to get us a quote and then proceeded to take another 6 months for a permit that never came), it was refreshing to see a company actually respond in a timely manner and do exactly what they said they would do! They got us on the schedule quickly and even acquired a permit within 2 days, and on a holiday week nonetheless!

Damon was great at following up frequently and letting us know where things were in the process, while also answering a ton of questions since we're new to homeownership. He also has a fun and welcoming personality! The crew were all very nice and knowledgable, as well as clean.

We have a bunch more projects coming and will definitely use Berkeley Home Repair!

I have used Bay Area Construction & Remodeling multiple times now. They have done fantastic work and I would highly recommend them, their work is done to a very high standard and their employees are super friendly and accomodating.

Berkeley Home Repair was super responsive, professional and efficient throughout the entire project! I am a realtor and used them to do some final projects in order to maximize the homes value for my clients. Projects included exterior power wash and paint.. interior touch up paint, new skylights, new furnace and a couple other small projects. BHR stuck to the timeline and was always there to answer questions or to keep us updated on all the details of the job. I definitely recommend them!

So far everything has been very professional, which is a real rarity these days. Still working on conveying my designs, but have no doubts there will

These amazing people replaced a toilet in a rental unit in California while I was in Scotland!

I bought the toilet online at HomeDepot, Berkeley Home Repair picked it up, I explained the process to the tenants, I provided the door code, they installed it and sent pics, I paid online (all in all less than the previous company charged to just REPAIR the toilet), I was happy, they were happy, tenants happy. Why can't everything be this easy?

Our bath tub sprung a leak that rained through the ceiling in the floor below, leaving a giant hole. I reached out to a number of contractors for estimates for the work, but this company stood out in both the reasonableness of their estimate and the ease of working with them. Damon was responsive and got a crew over to my house a few days later. The crew was very professional and courteous, and did great work. Damon will be my first call for any future construction needs.

I cannot recommend these guys higher! They get three things right that almost no contractors get right:

1. They quote really thoroughly and within 48 hours of reviewing your project.
2.  They manage the business so well - they send calendar invites to confirm the dates, they check in to see how satisfied you are, constantly ensuring you're happy with the progress.
3. They do extremely high quality work!

I would work with them again in a heart beat, can't wait for my next project!

Extremely happy with Berkeley Home Repair! I needed a kitchen faucet replaced, pronto!! Not a big job but one I could not do myself. Found them here on YELP and as it was stated, they responded back within 10 minutes! Wow!! Such a prompt response is quite a rarity these days, and the rest of the interaction was just as smooth.

They were able to squeeze me same day (another wow!). They were on time, courteous and professional. They can  handle projects of all sizes, and while I don't often have 'large jobs', it's even more comforting to know I can depend on them to help me with everyday projects, which do seem to come up quite often, and unexpectedly.

Berkeley Home Repair was a breeze to work with. They helped me out with painting the interior of my condo after my departing tenant left a patchwork of touch-up paint on nearly all the walls. The quote was extremely fast and we worked out all the details in one evening over text and email. Damon was able to fit me in within a week due to weather constraints with another customer, which was extra awesome because I wanted to get a new rental listing up ASAP. The painting was finished in a timely manner, the invoice was sent along promptly, and Damon was even so kind as to send someone back to clean up some rogue paint drops that were left on the carpet. I received way more rental applicants than I anticipated and I'm pretty sure it was due in part to the wonderful paint job.

Later, when my new tenant reported a broken light switch, I shot Damon a text and he responded right away. The communication was not as streamlined for the light switch repair and it took a while to get a day/time pinned down, as well as the invoice afterwards. But, the fix was still made within a week without any technical complications, so both my tenant and I were satisfied.

I plan on turning to Berkeley Home Repair the next time I need a condo repair. They've truly helped decrease the stress involved in being a landlord. Thank you Damon and team.

Damon and Brian really took great care of the leaking problem with my kitchen sink and a challenging electrical issue. Communication was great throughout, and both were very professional.

Even though wiring up a knob and tube set of switches to work as three-way lights took a lot of ingenuity and went way over time, Brian kept at it and never made me feel like I was anything other than his most important client. There wasn't ever a question about the extra charges for that, either, even though it was not discovered how old the wiring was until it was opened up.

For the sink, it turned out that the air gap hose still had a leak the day after, and Damon wrote back to me immediately (after midnight, even!) to schedule a follow up the next day. Brian again made it all right.

Damon and Trish did an outstanding job with the interior paint and hardwood floor installation. Their prices are extremely competitive, everything was done just as we expected and on schedule. But the reason that we chose them and why I have recomended them to others and will continue to use them again in the future is because of their great customer service. Our dealings with them didn't feel as if we were working with a contractor but rather with trusted friends.

Berkeley Home Repair did an absolutely fantastic job cleaning up & repairing the dangerous mess of old wiring in our nearly 100 year old home (there was some knob and tube stuff in the basement that had probably been down there since the house was originally built!) as well as installing some new electrical in our garage. Damon, Roberto & Trish truly went above and beyond for us and even voluntarily took care of some other things for us which we didn't know needed fixing. The work was thorough, organized and cleanly done, communication was exceptional, everyone was professional and super friendly.

It's apparent that these really folks understand that the smart way to build a local business is to create strong, positive relationships with their customers. They are honest, transparent, genuine, and stand by their work. Highly, highly recommended!

Unfortunately i did not work with these guys cos my building owner decided he wanted me to use his electrician-after i had done all the research. But i will say out of ten companies i contacted these guys were the only ones who gave me a reasonable price and actually responded really quickly. He was informative, knew what he was talking about and i was planning on hiring them if not intercepted by the building owner

Oh my goodness, what can I say about Berkeley Home Repair!!! My mom needed to replace some light fixtures and a ceiling fan. Damon responded quickly, fairly priced and keep me posted when the time changed for the appointment.

I can't say enough about the great experience I had with Berkeley Home Repair. First of all, their prices. I originally called them about paint that was flaking off at the bottom of my chimney, in a bedroom. Brian correctly diagnosed the problem as cracks around the roof flashing and at various points on the chimney. The quote they gave to fix the repairs, was, in the words of my real estate agent, a steal, so I hired them to fix it. Brian took care of the problem promptly and I haven't had a problem since. I would hire them again in a hot second for any other contracting work around my home.

Berkeley Home installed a new electrical system in my 50-year-old townhouse: a massive job requiring a high level of expertise not only in electrical systems but also in drywalling/patching/painting after the installation, thorough planning, careful estimation of costs, coordination of the efforts of a team involving 5 people, problem-solving when the unexpected was discovered, clear communication with me, and plain hard work. The unexpected included the discovery of a broken pipe through which the electrical wires traveled underground from the PGE connection to the house. Replacing the pipe required trenching my brick-paved backyard. Due to covid, I could not move out of the house to stay with relatives while the work was going on and so the electrical work was done in such way that in the evenings, I always had electricity in one part of the house, heat, and wifi. I have only superlatives to say about the professionalism of Carlos, Carlitos, Brian, Marcos, Samuel, and Damon.

The lights in my daughter's one-year-old ceiling fan suddenly failed--right in the middle of her urgent Finals Week studies. Reading the great reviews other customers gave Berkeley Home Repair (BHR), I took a chance and called them to schedule a service call; owner, Damon, set me up for the next day. The repair technician, Brian--who I soon learned is also Damon's brother--arrived ahead of schedule, and he promptly got to work troubleshooting our issue. Brian soon zeroed in on a bad resistor in the fan assembly's light box. My wife had previously ordered a new ceiling fan as a replacement just in case; so Brian offered to either switch out that assembly's light box, or replace the old, existing fan entirely. I chose the latter option, and Brian had the replacement installed within about 20 minutes. Even better, Brian whisked away all the old parts and packaging to save me valuable space in my waste/recycling bins. I'm very pleased with BHR's--and technician Brian's--prompt, friendly service. (I only wish I'd been better prepared to discuss Brian's other apparent specialty: Stephen King novels!)

I emailed Berkeley Home repair and got a same day response. The work was scheduled for two days out and completed professionally and efficiently. This is a very trustworthy and reliable company, reasonably priced too. Pricing also feels very straightforward. They installed a bathroom light to my cottage, fixed the electrical supply to my cottage (which was completely out) and moved/installed an outside light as well as replaced some faulty outlets. Damon was in constant contact with me about the work because I could not be home to even show them what needed to be done; I described it all over the phone and text and he kept in touch with updates and questions throughout the day.

I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Very honest, diligent, hard working team. It's nice to have trust and respect from day one with this family-run company. I really enjoyed my interior and exterior painting results so much that I added on more projects that I had planned to do next year. Why did I ever go anywhere else? Thank goodness I checked my phone for former handy people and found this company again. Roberto did a number of things around the house, from simple repairs to the more complicated. He was very professional, friendly and kind, and finished everything quicker than I'd imagined. This company saved me money by repairing a leaky faucet during the initial walk (of items on my to-do list) through AT NO CHARGE...and did it in about 1 minute! In the past I had 3 plumbers who told me faucet was too fancy and not worth repairing the leak, even if they could do it. Ha!

Can't say enough positive things about the job Damon, Brian and their team did painting the front of my San Francisco house. I wanted it done quickly and they delivered above and beyond my expectations.

Long story short called a bunch of services to ask if they had technician avail to unclog a sink drain. Everyone including Damon didn't seem to have anyone available, however Damon calls me back with a different company I should try. And low and behold I have a technician coming out today!
So thank you Damon! If I have any future problems I will definitely call you first.

I contacted Berkeley Home Repair based on the Yelp reviews and I couldn't be happier! From the time I called and spoke with Damon to inquire about an estimate through the installation of the new toilets has been a great experience. I had two toilets installed and the price was very reasonable. Brian arrived exactly on time and even gave me time to paint the wall that I couldn't get to when the old toilet was in the way. Brian was very friendly and explained what he was doing and asked important questions to make sure that the toilets were installed to my liking. I will be contacting Berkeley Home Repair again for future household repairs/remodeling needs.

I want to add yet another 5 star rating for Berkeley Home Repair. Although we have hired other contractors in the past, few were as determined as Damon and his entire crew were to make certain we were totally pleased with the finished job. Big thanks to Brian, Robert and Alexi for the professional job as well as Damon and Trish for keeping the project on track and on time.  Our guest room/office and bathroom remodel is exactly what we had envisioned. Damon even sent a color consultant who helped us select the perfect colors (thanks John). For future jobs we won't hesitate to have them work on our home again.

Damon installed a couple of exterior lights and a switch in my back yard. Communication was super clear, and the work was completed on time and meticulously. Would definitely call Damon again for this sort of project.

Customer service this fantastic is very rare these days. Even during the estimate phase, Brian, Damon and Tricia were responsive, friendly, and on time. Their bid came in as one of the lowest and we decided to go with them based on what we were reading on Yelp. So glad we did.

Brian re-piped our entire house with copper and while a few things did not go according to plan and the work went longer than we had hoped - some due to our ancient plumbing, faulty fixtures and plaster walls, one or two due to the actual work, and one old issue that we realized and added to the job in the middle of things - he and the whole team worked immediately and tirelessly to make everything right, with zero extra charge or bad attitude, even when the fault was our old house. Plus, Brian is just a really good guy, super punctual, friendly, and a hard worker. Damon and Tricia were on the phone with us, or at our home, immediately when they knew of the slightest issues, and helpful and friendly at every turn.

When they left our house this morning, our very low water pressure problems are gone, the hot water runs hotter (as it should), we have a fancy new kitchen faucet and showerhead (courtesy of them), and a 3-year old problem with crossed lines out of our tankless water heater, that we knew nothing about, is fixed.

Plus, we feel like we have new friends, due to how they treated us so respectfully and generously when things weren't going so well in the middle of the job.

We would not hesitate to hire them again. They are the real deal!

I reached out to Damon when another electrician left me hanging on getting an 240V plug installed in our garage for an EV charger. Damon quickly scheduled his electrician Daniel to come out, and he handled the job with speedy professionalism. Pricing was competitive and they were a breeze to work with. This contractor really is as good as it gets. Brian is knowledgeable in construction as well as HVAC, and goes far and beyond to make things work. Damon and Trish do a great job, together, and their estimates are fair and clear. Even when the job takes longer than expected or is more complicated, they do not increase the price. Roberto is creative and has good solutions, too. I'm happy with Berkeley Home Repair and look forward to the next project with them on my home.

Damon and Daniel are rock stars. Damon is highly communicative and was the only contractor that I talked to during consultation that asked for photos and went over every detail about the electrical work that I needed done. The job was done well, on time, and to my satisfaction.

If you know me, I don't tolerate Bull crap. But yes, they really are that good. After dealing with four other electricians, two of which never even showed up for their appointments, it''s nice to see someone that knows their stuff, shows up on time, can work around you and charge you what they quoted. Damon and his team are great!  I had water damage in my rental and needed various contractors to complete the job as I was working with my insurance company.  Berkeley Home Repair fixed the drywall, painted the kitchen, re-caulked the kitchen sink, and installed a new faucet.  They were on time, curious, professional, and fairly priced.  I will be keeping Berkeley Home Repair as my first stop in any future repairs needed.

Berkeley Home Repair fixed a pier under my house and installed earthquake bracing around the entire foundation. Brian and JMark started on time, worked late, and got the job done in less than two days. They never complained about the conditions (muddy tight crawlspace) and were very conscientious about cleaning up. Great attitude. I will be sure to hire them again since home repair never ends and it's nice to work with a company that does what they say and doesn't look for ways to increase your bill.

Daniel fixed a trash disposal switch and replaced a dishwasher cord.  It was not easy moving the washer, and Daniel did such a good job maneuvering it back in place, it's now easier to open and more even with the counter since the day it was installed!

I have a  house built in 1926 and I have owned it for 28 years and in that time repair people have come and gone. I have yet found anyone for any length of time that stayed in the area that I wanted back to do additional jobs. I think Berkeley Home Repair with Damon and Daniel are people you can trust, inviting into your home ,to get a job done in a timely and efficient manner. I had ceiling fans and lights installed and they were working with a combination of old and new wiring. What a web of problems they encountered but handled. The finishing work, they covered gaps between ceiling and fan fixtures , the extra stability of the fans, and the way they were able to make them quieter was beyond the average.  I'm very pleased and I'm looking forward to putting together other projects that we can work on.  I had a number of bids for my job, his was not the least expensive, and Damon came across professional, experienced, good references,  I and pleasant to talk with

Damon and Tricia are the best! They are a local husband and wife team that run the business. They are honest and transparent. They built a whole new deck and fence with modern cable railings for us. They also repaired an old deck.They all look great! Best of all they were super responsive, very flexible, considerate towards my family (being quiet at certain times when the baby was sleeping) and generally great to work with. They want you to be happy and comfortable. They go out of their way to please their clients. They work hard and very quickly to get the project done. I'd highly recommend them!

This is my first time using Berkeley Home Repair. I was genuinely impressed and would use the company services for other household problems.  Brian and Roberto were prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. They were easily able to solve the problem with my electrical sockets and kept the work within the time allotted for assessing the problem.  So the cost of their visit was very reasonable.  I give them a perfect score.

He even was able to fix an issue with our light switch that other electricians could not.

We had an electrical issue and I tried to contact two different electricians (one never returned my call and the other never answered). Then my husband found Berkeley Home Repair and have them a call. Someone was out to our house on the same day and found and fixed the problem that was causing most of our lights and outlets to not to work. There was a faulty outlet that was wired wrong and causing problems. The price was exactly as quoted and fair. The electrician was super friendly and knowledgeable. I asked them for a quote on more electrical work because I would use them again and refer them to others. Thanks for getting our lights back on!

Our experience was positive and consistent with other reviews. Damon and his team care about their work and go out of their way to get the job done promptly and professionally. We had a 240V EV plug and an extra outlet installed by Daniel. We also ended up needing to cover the electric wires and Damon was able to send out Pedro who installed the sheetrock. Everyone we talked to was super responsive, made sure we knew what was happening (by phone/text, photos, and yelp), and generally made us feel taken care of. We are now making a list of projects they could help us with and are already talking to them about rebuilding a large section of our fence.

Damon and his brother showed up a day after I confirmed the estimate, they did a stellar job drilling a 2.5 whole into a Granite countertop. Cleaned up the dust and wiped off all dirt. I will use and recommend them!

Berkeley Home repair is AWESOME! I hired them to put together a gazebo I got from Costco. These guys have certainly mastered the hack!!! What takes a normal team of weekend warrior hacks a 12-hour day took these three less than 6. They showed up ahead of schedule and were gone by lunch! I'm so glad I have someone to rely upon in Damon and his crew to tackle those other projects around the house!

So far, I have had the need for Berkeley Home Repair, on two occasions.  I needed outdoor light fixtures installed and an electrical line removed from the floor where an island used to be situated.  The island was moved and the people that moved it, could not move/deactivate the electrical line.  Berkeley Home Repair (BHR, which I found on Yelp) sent over Daniel, the electrician.  He is an absolute delight. He deactivated the floor line and put it back under the flooring.  He made sure the outdoor lights were fitted on the stucco and was aligned correctly.  He made sure the light fixtures worked before leaving.  My second experience with BHR, (Damon and Trish) involved them coming over and installing my new range hood in the kitchen.  They did an excellent job with fitting it and even polished the stainless steel range hood before they left. Damon and Trish are both delightful!

OMG - best service I've ever had from a business.  Damon was fun to work with, and he sent Daniel over to repair the electrical outlet that serves my koi pond same-day.  Daniel was great - friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.  Everything you could hope for.  He also kept Damon updated on his progress, so that everyone was on the same page.  Fish are now alive and healthy.  We need a bathroom remodel - I've asked if we could get a quote.  I definitely will work with them again.

I was quite pleased with the efficiency, effort, and timeliness of the repairs and upgrades to my 2 1/2 baths which included all new ceiling fans (two of which had to be installed through the attic), one vanity lighting installation, two new shower heads, new towel racks, two upstairs toilets with noisy flushing issues needing repairs and one toilet flapper replacemnet, a bathroom sink faucet screen replacement, and a bathtub shower diverter valve rebuild and knob upgrade.  These repairs were long overdue, and I searched for a complany that could provide all of the work, not just some of the plumbing or some of the electrical.  Brian, from Berkeley Home Repair, was able to complete all of the work that I needed done.  This family owned business is serious about their work, their company, and their reputation, and will do all that is needed to make sure their work is exemplary and their customers are satisfied.  My selection of Berkeley Home Repair was based on the excellent YELP reviews from satisfied customers, and their range of work. After talking to Damon over the phone and via email and other modes of communication media, and speaking with Brian as he was here completing the jobs, both were found to be courteous and knowledgable, and deserving of well-earned excellent ratings and referral.
