I am in the Solar Industry. One of our customers had Attic Vents throughout a roof, limiting us from installing panels.
Our design team determined we could relocate the vents, offer more panels, and Jeff & Alan Proctor inspected the roof, determined where we could place them and took care of this for us.
Our company, and, our now mutual customer, were very satisfied with their service.

I needed walls and floors replaced from an old roof leak.  He was also skilled to handle a hidden water leak in the laundry room.  

Come to find out, George is more than just a handy man.  He's a professional contractor with lots of experience building houses.  

Extremely impressive with how quick George responded to my request.  George is assertive, responsive, friendly, and knows what he is doing.  He is accommodating and helpful.   He also helped me move some items in my house.  Just an overall great and trustworthy guy.

We recently purchased a foreclosure property where the water heater had burst, causing damage to the stand and drywall surrounding the water heater.  The bank replaced the water heater, but refused to repair the damaged drywall and it quickly became laden with mold.

On a referral from our Realtor, we hired Wayne Glashagel (Owner of AMA Contstruction) to repair the water heater stand and surrounding drywall.  Wayne drained the water heater, disconnect the copper pipes, remove the water heater, tore out the water heater stand, sprayed Killz on the moldy areas and rebuilt the stand from the ground up.  Afterward, Wayne reconnected the water heater to the plumbing.  

Wayne was very courteous and professional, arrived early for the appointment and did a fantastic job on the repair of the water heater stand.  It looked brand new and the drywall texture matched the existing texture perfectly.

I would highly recommend Wayne for any general contract work.

These guys repaired two chips in a new tub.  They did a great job.  I cannot tell where the chips were in the tub.  You should consider them for your project.

We worked with Brandon and Jason and they were awesome! Fortress was recommended by USAA for our home repairs. We hired them to replace our roof, paint the exterior of our house, install a ceiing fan/ight fixture in the living room and completely re-do our kitchen lighting. They worked with us as we waited for our home equity line of credit to come through and then promptly got the work started. They were patient in working around our schedules and waiting for us to make up our mind about what we wanted. They were communicative throughout the entire process and wanted to make sure we felt comfortable with everything throughout the entire process. We hope to do more updating in the future and wouldn't consider using anybody else! Highly recommended!

This company to advantage of the hail storm,they came to our home and checked the damage to my roofs. After numerous promises they never finished the job and two of my roofs, do to hat I have have a garage full off ruined tools and equipment.hey hired storm chasers to come out and go door to door to find out they were just lying sales people. Bottom line is they were paid by the insurance company but never delivered what was promised.  Few of m neighbors had similar issues.

Alternative Portable Buildings.  I was looking to put a medium-sized shed  (8 feet by 12 feet)  in my backyard to store mostly chairs and tables for large family events.  I had researched several shed companies listed on Yelp, and the reviews of the other companies were mixed at best.   I found Alternative Portable Buildings reviewed on another website similar to Yelp, and the company had glowing reviews.  Alternative Portable Buildings has an excellent website where you can discover most everything that you need to know about the building styles and options, and the prices for all of the possible combinations.  I didn't want to make a major purchase like this without seeing one of their sheds in person, so I went down to the business location to see the buildings that they had constructed on the premises so you can get a better idea of the style, quality, and dimensions.  The company was located a fair distance from where I live, but I would recommend taking a trip out there so that you can see what you are buying.  Based on what I saw at the business location and on an in-depth conversation with owner who is extremely knowledgeable with many years of experience, I scheduled the construction of a shed.  The owner and his son arrived on time.  They did an AMAZING job of putting together a solid storage shed that will probably outlive me.  Even though they had the entire building constructed in about 7 hours, the quality of construction shines through.  The building is perfectly symmetrical, and all of the corners are super tight.  I had considered going with a smaller shed, and the owner suggested getting a larger size.  Boy, am I happy I got the larger size.  It is absolutely perfect - no too big, not too small.  I am completely satisfied with quality, value, and service of Alternative Portable Buildings.  Before you have a shed built by another company, do yourself a favor and visit Alternative Portable Buildings.  There are cheaper companies out there, but you will probably compromise on quality if you go with a less-expensive option.  I am thrilled to be first customer to review this company on Yelp.

This is a general contracting firm. I had not used them before, but I have known Jeff Rassmusson for 15 years and he has done various elements of remodel for me in 4 previous homes in Scottsdale. Jeff now works at Modern Group.

The particular job that he oversaw involved installation of hardwood floors, drywall, removal and installation of master bath cabinets, tile work, repair and painting. He is a hands on overseer. I am impressed with not just the quality but the pricing on what I received. I would certainly recommend Jeff and his firm along with all the trades that they use to execute a plan.

crappy attitude during estimate, spent more time talking about the fact he was a celebrity around phoenix because he does radio shows instead of being focused on the estimate of the house. really full of himself, didn't know what he was talking about, had 5 other estimates before him and he really was the worst.  shocked he he does this for a living in the first place way more interested in his show than in doing work.  wouldn't recommend to anyone

We did our homeowner orientation, if you can call it that, on March 26 for the Victoria community.  During the walk through, we were advised that it would not be a blue tape party and that they will just write everything down.  Here is a sample of what we found:

-Drywall and/or texture issues in garages, kitchen, nook, loft, stairs, all bedrooms, and all bathrooms.
-Painting and caulking in all rooms, including both garages.
-Kitchen Cabinets multiple scratches, dents, and missing paid for hardware (soft close).
-Kitchen Microwave did not work (electrical issue)
-Master Bathroom countertop is uneven/warped also damaged
-Wrong shower enclosure in master bathroom (paid for upgrade and received basic)
-Most ceilings have lines throughout due to poor texture application
-Stucco issues and paint issues in exterior (including missing paint, exposed wire, and etc)
-Weather Strip not installed on front door
-Service door molding and paint
-Framing and drywall issues in bedroom 5 bath (ceiling)
-Water damage due to leak in bedroom 5 bath
-Framing and drywall issues in Master bedroom closet
-Window screen issues
-Roof tile issues
-Garage electrical (dedicated fridge outlet) had a standard GFI outlet.
-Floors (tile and carpet) not cleaned - dirt, paint, and etc. on both.
-All marble tile and countertops were not cleaned - has dirt, paint, marks, and caulking

We closed on our home March 29 and received our keys at 1600hrs.  None of the issues discovered were addressed!  Now, we have crews coming and going with no end in sight.   We just past our 10 day period and the list keeps growing on issues.  We truly regret buying a Meritage home as they don't care about quality!  I've spoken with several neighbors, they all have similar horror stories.  To make matters worse, we are being placed last to address the issues while they work on new houses. Do yourself a favor and go with another builder! I'm submitting a complaint with the board of contractors.

UPDATE: Close to the 1 year mark and most of the issues were addressed in 2017.  We have a couple new items, but that is to be expected and why most builders offer a 1 year warranty.   I updated their rating to two stars as the staff has been helpful and have worked with us.  We have a home inspection soon and will update review with findings.

I hired Wendler Construction to renovate my home, he in turn hired D and J Construction to frame parts of the original house, an 800 sqft addition and garage.  They did a horrible job... they used 2x4's when the plans called for 2x6's, used wrong footings on the front wall of the house, used wrong calculations on the truss fabrication thus not allowing enough room for the hvac duct work, and had to reframe interior walls and a new skylight, which they did wrong resulting in having to purchase a custom skylight.  Wendler Construction's lack of experience, skill, and ability to manage my renovation, caused over 5 months of delays and tens of thousands of dollars in additional costs.  And then halfway thru the project, right after Christmas break, Wendler Construction quit on me.  After almost a year in construction, I am still finding mistakes made under Wendler Construction's management.  I would not recommend them.

This contractor installed French doors at my house and they now leak.  When I called the owner he told me he is kind of not in business any more. I am sure he would be in business if I would have been calling with a new job for him.
