I tried to schedule an appointment to have him come and look at my home for potential electrical work, and he cancelled on me last minute, twice. Both appointments were scheduled for first thing in the morning, and I would receive a text maybe an hour before saying something came up. What's the point of making appointments if you're going to cancel them.

We called H&H Lighting and Electrical because of all the positive Yelp reviews.  Mark did not disappoint. He took on a large project by replacing all of the subpanels in our 8 unit apartment building. His quote was fair and honest. He arrived on time each day and he kept his work area tidy. Thank you Mark. You're the best in the business!

Late on a Friday afternoon I Managed to trip a circuit breaker that then wouldn't reset. Checked Yelp and called Rory... he was great! He came by in less than an hour, and the kitchen was back in business for dinner. I now have a go-to electrician!

We inquired Frank for assistance based on excellent prior reviews to install a 240v outlet and a fan/light combo vent for our bathroom. Frank was professional and courteous during the initial estimate and remained so through the rest of the process after accepting his service. He was prompt with negotiated times and always responsive. The installation of the 240v proved elaborate, necessitating fishing wiring through 4 floors of our townhome, but he did an excellent job. He limited the amount of texture and painting that would be required for us to complete after the work was done, which was sincerely appreciated. The installation of the bathroom vent also went smoothly, and we no longer have to rely on a constant open window to achieve the same effect. We are grateful for Frank's consideration to keep our costs down where possible. Frank is a genuine person and possesses a notable integrity that is seemingly rare these days. Without hesitation, we would consider contacting Frank for any future projects.

Left a message on a Friday night about my mother's power going out.  Asked for a call back. Supposedly has 24/7 service. This was a week ago. They never returned my call

I work with Jose for all my electrical needs. He is knowledgeable, punctual and professional in his field. He is able to work with me on my projects whether it is installing a new digital a/c thermometer, changing switches, installing a new pendant light, or replacing ceiling fans he is the man to go to.

I have long neglected to write my review, but that in no way reflects my thoughts and feelings regarding  McWay Electric. He is the most polite, respectful  gentleman. He shows up on time and fully prepared for the job. He is talented, and figured a way to install a ceiling fan where I had been  told one couldn't be installed. Chris has done several projects for me, and he is such a nice person, I almost wish I had more work for him to do.  He really is that good.

Our garage mysteriously lost power.....the spare fridge and washer drawer included.  Our home of 5 can't be without those for long!  Thankfully Juan C. and Jose were able to quickly track down the issue and made a quick fix.  In and out!  They even went above and beyond and cut out a notch in our paneling so that box couldn't be easily accessed in the even this issue happens again!  Thanks Interwest Electric!  Happy customer here!!!  Highly recommend!

I bought a 1935 Craftsman --- with all the problems of a 1935 Craftsman house. And the best thing, the decades of shoddy electrical 'fix-its' along the way - quite the maze. You have to love the feeling of a good electrical arc now & then. I took it as a sign that my house was 'tazing' me to fix it....it took about a month before I listened (stubborn).
Kevin of Electric Electric Works will do your house right! And he did it fast - the whole house was wired within three days! And we are talking that old school, cloth covered, aluminum coated wire. Tons of it (picts). Kevin not only pulled out the old and in with the new, but also wired a few more receptacles in each of the rooms as well as some high tech LED canisters in the living room. He revamped my breaker box --- and my house doesn't taze me anymore!!
That alone was worth the call! Excellent service, fast response time, and honest - highly recommend Kevin as an electrician.

I WAS IN SHOCK!!!

I had a relatively small electrical job requiring the installation of two new sconces and the replacement of two existing ones, replacing an existing wall dimmer and mounting a separate wireless dimmer on a wall. Using wiremold, the ENTIRE in-wall wiring would total about 12 and right above existing dimmer switch!  My common sense estimate was that it would probably take two or three hours.  

The good - Point Loma Electric was very responsive and the man who arrived to give me the estimate was professional. Because I didn't use them, I have no way of knowing the quality of their work.

The bad is inexcusable- I was then handed an estimate for the job of slightly over $2500! I questioned the technician about such an outrageous quote and he told me unexpected surprises could occur. I  challenged him to come up with one even slightly reasonable example of that on my job. He could not.  He also stated that they were not the cheapest in town. Quite the understatement!

I then proceeded to request estimates from other electricians. Each one ranged from about $500 to $700. I priced out all the parts on Amazon and purchased them all for slightly under $100.  I then proceeded to hire an electrician. I supplied the parts and he quoted $500 for labor. In slightly less than three hours, the job was completed perfectly and professionally. To me, there is no ethical way to charge $2500 for a job that virtually all competitors quoted 80% less!  Buyer beware and definitely shop around. I've attached the estimate to this review.

I've been using Luke now for the past four years. He's very reliable, does good work and I believe is reasonably priced.  I don't think there's a job that I've given him he could not complete. I've referred him to many of my real estate clients and all have been more than satisfied - they've come back with raving reviews.  If you're looking for an electrician who knows his stuff inside and out, you've found your man!

James and his crew always does such a great job for us!  Fast to respond, always very clear and objective.  Never trying to over or under sell.  We highly recommend Custom Electric SD.

We had a Tesla charger installed in our garage by another electrician and after 6 months of working it suddenly stopped.  We were told that our subpanel was grounded, but after having Roddy inspect it, we found out that wasn't true.  The job was more than we anticipated, but Roddy made it super easy!  He was extremely transparent and provided us with several options and quotes which we really appreciated since we are first-time homeowners (and don't know what we're doing).  Now our electrical work has been installed correctly thanks to Roddy and his team and we couldn't be happier.

Roddy was not only professional, but personable.  He even helped us lift our power rack into the garage!  We will definitely be working with AEI in the future and I highly recommend their services.

As the other reviewers have stated, James is the real deal.  He's been in the business for over 20 years and his electrical expertise is matched only by his electric level of drive!  He's a fast paced guy who's understanding, engaging, and super pet friendly (my cat even liked him)!  His main focus seems to be residential customers but I understand that he does larger jobs as well.  For me, I had him install a 240v circuit for my new air conditioning split unit.  He did that and more when he noticed a slight problem with my electrical panel.  His motto is perfection and he pulls it off.  That being said, he's basically a one man operation so don't try to call him at the last moment!  He is very responsive to his phone and communicates clearly at all times.  Couldn't be happier with the experience.  So hard to find tradesmen like him these days.

Around 2 p.m. we noticed our refrigerator light was not working; then checked other appliances, lights, and outlets near the kitchen. We checked our circuit-breakers, and all appeared to be working; the refrigerator, lights, and other outlets on the circuit with the refrigerator were not working. We then contacted Green Electrical Solutions (888)-202-1952 and Eric Johnson phoned us back within the hour. We explained the problem to Eric, and he said that he could be at our house between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. that evening.
Around 3:00 p.m. Eric phoned to let us know that he was on his way to look at our electric problem. He arrived around 3:30 p.m. and immediately reviewed our outlets and asked questions about our usage that day. He checked the circuit-breakers and found that they were all working. With his expertise he deduced that one of the outlets was not working properly and was shorting out the circuit-breaker. He tested the outlets and found the problem where a ground wire was shorting out the circuit-breaker due to the way the ground wire was connected to the outlet. Eric replaced the outlet, and the problem is solved. What a relief to know that our food would not all be spoiled!
We found Eric to be very professional, personal and the rates he charged were very reasonable. We will be using his services again when needed.

Greg came by our house to provide a quote for relocating a coaxial unit -- he ended up offering a cleaner and more cost-effective alternative.  We were thrilled with the results!  His friendliness, professionalism, quality workmanship, and reasonable rates make him a cut above the rest.  Highly recommended!

I am a Realtor representing a Buyer who is currently under contract for a house. After our physical inspection we needed an electrician to go and give us a bid on the repair work that needs to be done. Another Realtor referred me to Alvarado Electric.  David was incredibly responsive, fitting us in late afternoon of the day we called. He came up with an ideal solution to fix our issues. He was a prince of a guy under less than ideal conditions--with unfriendly dogs and a troubling situation with the Seller. I am now looking forward to having him come to my house and upgrade and relocate my electric panel.

Reached out to ev installs sd and got a response right away.They arrived right on time at 8 am and completed the installation of a NEMA 14-50 plug in the garage in less than an hr. They were extremely organized even cleaned/vacuumed there work area before they left and were very professional overall I would hire them again in a heartbeat thier process was smooth and straightforward and that's exactly what I desired.
