Vela Electric is owned by Mr. Joe Vela.  He is a well known person in this town.  We here at the Frio Co. Sheriff's Department have utilized his services for at least ten years and we find him to be a very reliable and fair manager of his business.  He will do almost any reasonable job, electrical and moving, plus he and his crew are trustworthy and punctual.  He will give you fair estimates before he does the job and he will tell you if the job is within the range of his companies' abilities or not.  You can be up-front with him and he will treat you respectfully.

We had Cross Texas Electric come out and run all the electric for a new spa. Ronnie Jones was awesome!! He made sure that everything was done right and ensured everything installed in a way that kept our puppies safe!! Spa works like a charm! He even took time out of his schedule to answer the MANY miscellaneous questions I had.  Definitely plan to use this company again!

Very happy with our service visit today. Joe and his partner were professional, courteous and patient with us. They quickly diagnosed our breaker box issue and fixed it promptly. We will definitely use these guys again in the future.

I'm glad I thought to check yelp for electrician reviews, because then I called Chadwick and all was well.  I had gotten two other estimates.  One was very high and the other was similar to Chadwick's, but the guy gave me a look like he'd rather spit on me than run a wire through my attic.  So I went with Chadwick who went above and beyond in several ways.  He stuck to his original estimate even though he ended up spending more time than he had thought, so he knocked off some labor cost.  Also, we were working on something that involved drilling holes in concrete and our hammer drill was on the fritz and he loaned us a tool that saved us an incredible amount of time and headache.  And he didn't even try to show us how to use it (as some men would have) or give patronizing advice.  All in all, I couldn't have been more pleased and I recommend him highly.

We needed an electrician and SFX electric responded immediately despite being very busy. We were concerned about a possible hazard. Steve walked us through the problem to allay our fears. He fit us in and along with his apprentice, completed a thorough check of our wiring. Highly professional, took the time to explain situation in layman terms and completed the work in a timely manner. We give the company our highest recommendation and will be using them for additional work.

Very professional and responds quickly! If I need any electrical work done I will always call him! He has done numerous electrical jobs for me and haven't had one issue!! Reasonable pricing too!!

My first time to call Greg, and it certainly won't be the last.  He returns calls (rare in this industry), prompt in arrival, does great work, and is reasonably priced.  He actually suggested a less expensive way to complete a repair I had requested, and saved me quite a bit.  I recommend Georgetown Electrical very highly!

Wow, just wow! I am rarely speechless. When it comes to things like electrical/air conditioning/moving/etc I'm always super nervous. I don't like reading sketchy reviews and I don't trust anything with less than 100 reviews. Finding an electrician for the bathroom socket I blew out with a hair dryer was a very daunting task. However after three months, I finally decided that I couldn't deal with getting ready in the closet mirror. I ended up calling Premo Electric and I am so happy I did.

First, they were able to come the next day. Yes it was at 7am but I was seriously shocked with the availability. Second, he actually arrived at 7am! Okay three minutes earlier which I don't believe ever happens in the history of appointments. Third, Richard was awesome! He was nice, understanding, fully diagnosed the problem and was friendly in the process. The entire visit took less than 30 minutes which was the minimum quoted time on the phone (that never happens). He also gave me options on either putting the unit back in or replacing it without trying to overly sway me one way or the other. It felt honest and when I decided to replace whatever it was (I'm not an electrician), I was comfortable with doing so. Definitely 5 stars. I would use Premo Electric again in a heartbeat (let's just hope I don't have to).

Great Service. Very Knowledgeable and respectful company. Devren helped me find the material that was below my budget. They installed 4 ceiling fans with remotes and did a great job cleaning up any mess made during installation (I think they left my sons room cleaner than before they came) :)

Service Pro Electrical has worked on my house before and I was happy to hire them for another job.  I needed to have some fluorescent can lights changed out to LED can lights.  Michael (the owner) was able to schedule me in soon after I called and prior to the end of the week.  Michael and another electrician arrived on time, completed the job quickly and cleaned up after themselves.  This is a professional and reliable electrical company that I'm happy to use at my house and to recommend to others.

At about 7pm last night, we noticed that a couple of our outlets in two of our rooms, ceiling fan/light and light wasn't working.  My husband reset the circuit breaker a couple of times and pressed the reset on all the GFCI outlets but we couldn't fix the issue ourselves. My husband called a couple of electricians to see who could come check out for the issue and then I remembered that a bunch of neighbors have recommended Leo so I called and texted him.  Leo texted back immediately and gave me a bunch of troubleshooting ideas.  Because none of the tips worked, he scheduled to come by the next morning.

He came and identified the issue (the breaker).  He explained the issue and gave us cost effective fixes.  We went with replacing it.  He fixed it immediately and walked us through the process.  He went above and beyond by explaining the workings of a circuit breaker, etc, etc.

He is completely trustworthy, kind, reliable, really smart and patient.  I was so impressed and appreciate his willingness to help us even before coming out to diagnose the problem.  

I am so happy that I've found a go-to electrician!  As a homeowner, you need reliable good people to go to for issues.  I highly recommend Leo.  We are now scheduling him to do our recessed lighting which we've put off for years because we didn't have an honest person to count on.

Should have done the job correctly the initial time.  Rude, unprofessional and wondering where the guy is that many state is great.  Maybe if I was a male......I would have been treated better.

This company is sneaky, greedy and unprofessional - especially Larry and Joe. They are just not good people or right in the head. I would not even recommend them to my worst enemy. There are better, more reliable companies to seek out.

I placed a query on HomeAdvisor for an electrician to take take care of some lighting I would need installed on the exterior of my home.  One of the companies that called me was Electrician For Hire.  John was the guy's name.  He called me at 8 on a Saturday evening and we talked about the project that I needed done.  10-15 minutes later, John said he would have a guy out to the house the latest they can on Friday at 4pm in order to take a look and come up with a quote.  He said they stop work at 4:30.  No problem.

Fast forward to Friday.  At 4:10pm no one had shown up so I called John to ask about his technician.  He said they weren't supposed to be there until 5pm tonight.  He said it was in his notes.  However, in the Saturday discussion he told me his guys don't work past 4:30 and he asked me if his guy could be at the house at 4.  I was good with 4 because I was leaving town at 5.  I let it go for the moment as he said he would get someone out to the house now.  His technician calls and says he'll be happy to come out tomorrow (Saturday) in order to look over the project and deliver a quote.  I explained to the technician that this was outside the terms of agreement from John.  I told the technician to disregard and that I would contact John to cancel.

I sent a text message to John stating that I was disenchanted with the fact that his technician didn't even know about it until moments earlier, which means I was forgotten about, anyway.  I let him know that I will be looking for a new and more reliable electrician to handle my project.  John's response:  You Go Girl.  When I called to accost him of the disrespect, he stated, Look, I am making light of the situation.  Don't be weird about it.

Can John do the work? I don't know.  He can talk the talk, though, and make you feel like he's got your project covered.  Myself, I do not give my business to those who lie, forget, change times, or flat out disrespect.

My suggestion to those needing an electrician in my area, find a more reputable one.  Leave the kids out of your home projects.
