Best Flooring Contractors in Arizona

Do not book services through them. At first, this family business seemed like a great option for me, as I needed to use my vinyl for them to repair and redo my stairs. As a first time homebuyer, I was lost and really needed guidance about what to do.

1. The stairs originally had carpeting with a skirt. Where the skirt was, the drywall was damaged from pulling the carpet off. They told me to replace drywall and THEN they would do stairs. I did that for $500 and then when they finished the stairs, they left the drywall completely damaged again (see pic) the risers were also left completely unpainted, saying they don't do drywall or painting. I ended up paying $470 more again after the project was complete to finish paint and drywall. I later learned that a stair skirt would've solved my issues. I was never offered that and now it's too late. Why was the job not finished??? Why wasn't I given my options of a stair skirt?
2. My initial project start date was pushed out over two weeks because the installer had a family thing. When they gave me notice, it was for the next day at 7am. I WFH and had to move a lot of meetings (which is okay! I would rather get this project done). Well at 12pm I had an important meeting that could not be moved, I asked the installers to take a 1/2 hour break. I got a scathing email from Marilyn basically saying "you don't tell our workers to stop working!" -- how do you let your installers work partially outside in AZ without a break....
3. I had to bring my own materials to their office (40 min away) and had to get things measured 2x. I also ordered a doorway reducer which was completely left off the project and never made. When I asked about it, they made me try and measure the doorway and bring them materials--isn't that a contractors job? How am I supposed to measure the height of tile vs vinyl in a doorway (which is millimeters) isn't this part of the service?
4. Installers were not made aware of a specific area to do, so when I said "yes that part is included" I got yet another scathing email from Michael / Marilyn saying that I was telling the installers to do extra work. They clearly have communication issues.
5. When installers came back to redo some vinyl that was lifting, they tried to guilt trip me, saying "we did this area and didn't know we were not supposed to do it so we never got paid" -- sounds like their employers problem.
6. When I tried to get them to come back and fix that spot, Michael called me and absolutely BERATED me on the phone. I'm not kidding-- my whole family witnessed it. He yelled at me saying I was trying to cheat them out of the project. What I was simply trying to say (and could not get out because the owner Michael was literally SCREAMING at me. ) was that I was not going to pay until they came back and made a reducer and fixed the lifting vinyl. They wanted me to again run the materials up and measure myself for their communication lapse (I have emails to prove I included a reducer). He stated he would send his lawyer after me if I didn't pay ASAP --again project was not complete.

To the installers: please create your own business on Thumbtack so you don't have to work for this company. You work hard and seem to not be treated as well as you could.

Overall, if you are a women or someone who does not know a lot about Millworking, please please look to book elsewhere. I am traumatized from Michael screaming at me and the communication between multiple family members and installers for this project was an absolute mess. I ended up letting them know that I could only email from them on. STAY AWAY!!!!! Get everything in writing!!!!!

My husband and I looked around for someone/company to get our garage floor done for a couple months and they would either never return our calls or set up a time to come look and never show up. Very frustrating to say the least. Until my husband reached out to Preston and we were finally treated with professionalism. He gave us an estimate and put us on the schedule. The guys showed up early on a Saturday and worked all day to finish that same day. They were very nice and knowledgable. They even moved my washer and dryer out of the way and then put them back when they were done. I'm very happy with the final result, the floor was in bad shape, had an old paint that was chipping and also had some wide cracks which they fixed. Now it's all smooth and it has a nice sheen. I would recommend ground control flooring to anyone in a heart beat!

I had this company come do laminate flooring, base boards and door mouldings at our house.  They did a great job and they did it quickly and for a really reasonable price. I will definitely recommend them.

Our house flooded in June 2021. After having all the carpet removed in the renovation we purchased tile in July. The tile was still MIA in October so we chose a different color. Now our problem was finding the contractor to install it. Through Google I found Giovanni Custom Flooring and Renovation.  I can't say enough good things about Frank and his crew. They were professional, courteous and finished the difficult job over a week ahead of schedule.  
I highly recommend this company.

I had a carpeted staircase in my home, and wanted to update the look.  The design associate, Efren listened to my concerns, and created my floor project vision.  He was a pleasure to work with. The installers were great.  They respected my home, were efficient, and professional.  After installation, cleaned up, and staircase looked fantastic!  Floor Coverings International prides themselves on the quality of their flooring, and customer satisfaction.  Deb, the owner, wants the customer to have the best experience possible.  I am so pleased with my staircase, and recommend their services.

Josh came over to help me with a few projects around the house. I needed some drywall work and painting done. He gave me a great price and was very professional throughout the job. I had him come back to do some travertine flooring in my children's bathroom and replace the wall tile around the bath tub. He was very thorough and cleaned up after the project was done so we would have never known he was even there doing work. I would definitely recommend Josh and Bare Renovation for any home improvement projects you have.

If you need new flooring you've got to go here. They have a large selection to look through. Doug and Andy will do everything they can to ensure customer service and satisfaction. I've been so impressed with the friendly and professional service. I had bids from all sorts of places, and as soon as Doug started to talk about carpet, I immediately knew this guy was well educated and passionate about flooring. He conveys his knowledge in a way that makes sense and helps the customer make choices that fit their needs and wants. I've learned that the flooring business is competitive, you can buy cheap from big box retailers who care little about you, you can buy expensive from places trying to run up their profits, or you can purchase smart and between the two from Doug and Andy and walk away feeling you did it right. You can't go wrong with these guys, and if a mistake happens, I bet they will go above and beyond to make it right.

I stopped by to check these guys out, and I looked around for about 30 min before someone said hello. I just replied bye and continued out the door.

Great experience and great price! My backsplash turned out exactly how I wanted and they knocked it out in a couple days. Would definitely book them again if I have another tile job

That person has no relation to this company whats so ever he hasnt been employed with this company since december of 2018. I called to have an estimate for soft close slides installed on some drawers. The sales person basically refused to some out and look based on the maker of the cabinets. Seems like if you are locked in to a small amount of cabinet makers you limit your business! I wish you luck!

Had my laundry room redone and it is just perfect! I had never undergone a project like this before and they were so willing to answer all of my questions to make sure that I felt comfortable.  The gentlemen who came to perform the project were just wonderful and made sure everything was precisely to my liking.  And they made sure that everything was cleaner than when they go there.  Rudy and Kimberly were excellent to work with as well.  Will definitely have them back (hopefully the same crew) for future remodeling projects!

Went on the website last week and filled out a form saying please contact me as I would like to set up appt to get a quote.  Email says allow 2 business days.  That has passed.  Called this morning at 830am 6/5.  Person who answered phone said will give message to sales reps who come in at 900am.   I guess Puckett's has so much business they don't need new customers.  If you aren't going to respond to requests via your website - don't offer that option.  Not sure if the breakdown for today is due to person answering phone or sales reps.  Definitely an interesting business model.

Update:  three strikes and you are out.  I decided to go by the store in person since I had no response to my yelp email request and no response to my call.   Got there approx 1030 am on a Wednesday (6/6).  There was no one in the showroom.  I stood around for about five minutes then followed the voices to the "office area" toward the far side of the store.  A woman asked me "have you been helped"?  To which I responded "no, not yet".  She said she would be right with me.  Ten minutes later she still did not appear.   So I have decided that they really do not need my business - right.  How many chances can I give them!!
Sadly a friend referred them as she had such a good experience.   I could not refer this store based upon my personal experience.  My search is still on for my new flooring.  It is now 6/8.

The crew at Pelleco is the best. Since we began our remodel plans to when our first job was complete, they have been nothing but honest, kind and helpful.

They've given us awesome prices (and we did our research to compare them to other providers). They have also been extremely efficient, accommodating to our schedule, and quick to finish our project.

They were happy to communicate via email, text and phone call at our convenience - they were always prompt to reply. The showroom has great hours and a relaxed atmosphere - we never felt pressured to buy anything and they didn't try to up-sell us to make more $. They suggested the more economic high quality fixtures and materials and kept us under budget.    

We liked them so much for our first project, we immediately decided to use them for a second project and we're getting started on that right now. We will be using them on any future projects as well. Don't hesitate to call Pelleco for any remodel project.

First time using Zona on an investment property in AZ that had a major water valve leak.  I'm out of state, but the company is very easy to work with.  My call was returned within a few minutes which is almost unheard of.  The office staff is very friendly and understanding.  We had a crew out the same day with their equipment ready to go.  Everyone I was in contact with are knowledgeable and helpful. Communication is clear and they go out of their way to solve the problem quickly.  Aaron was very easygoing and tries his best to accommodate you during the process. Make sure you ask what their procedure involves and so you don't have surprises.  It can be overwhelming if you don't know what to expect. I had a great experience and would definitely use Zona again if I had another emergency.

BUYER BEWARE!

do NOT buy your cabinets from any of the Cabinet to go locations. They might be inexpensive but it's not worth it, and that's IF you actually GET your cabinets! Do yourself a favor and go to glassdoor.com and read the reviews of what their own employees say about this company. Then go to the better business bureaus' site and read those reviews. They are all exactly what I've experienced.

I ordered my cabinets in May and here it is almost September and I am missing one last cabinet. no one will tell me where it is or when it's coming. To make matters worse, I can't finish my kitchen without it and I already started the install because they told me my cabinets were going to be in, in July. They were SUPPOSED to be here in June. They said 4-8 weeks. I ordered them on Memorial day and well, it's almost labor day.

The store will not call me back, even when they promise too. I send emails, they've never responded to one email. I sent an email to their corporate store and got an email back apologizing but no resolution and no follow through.

They've really screwed me and left me in a hard place. to make matters worse the cabinets are finished with lacquer not paint so I can't match the color  exactly. Would you want one mismatched cabinet in your kitchen?? I don't either.

they are not a member of the BBB..... i should have done my research first. lesson learned and now I'm screwed.

I've made 4 trips to this store and have traveled over 400 miles trying to pick up cabinets that I already paid for.

Not a competitor, only a 1 time customer.  I did check out your self written testimonials.  A customer can not update your webpage but that is what Yelp is for.  Not a personal attack, just telling it like it is.
