Best Flooring Contractors in Arizona

I'm super-glad that Classic Millworks installed beautiful floors in a friend's home, which led to my meeting them and using them for my project. I'm a first-time homeowner and new to working with home improvement companies. Mike and Marilyn answered every one of my many questions about the process thoroughly and cordially. They could not have been more personable and friendly throughout my entire experience with them; in fact, Mike and I hugged at the end of his last visit here to check out the work done.  Their family and their whole crew are the BEST - they're all knowledgable, friendly, conscientious, and highly skilled in their craft. I can't recommend them highly enough. I'm delighted with my new floors!!

I love my polished concrete floor! It is life changing to be rid of the nasty carpet and have quick clean up and durable floors with three kids and a dog. Very easy to clean up! These guys were prompt and very professional! I would recommend them to anyone.

I had this company come do laminate flooring, base boards and door mouldings at our house.  They did a great job and they did it quickly and for a really reasonable price. I will definitely recommend them.

Amazing customer service!!! Deb and Darcy were so helpful and fun to work with. The quality of the workmanship was beyond my expectations. The installers were very pleasant and very hardworking. They were very respectful of my home. The only hiccup was they had to start a day late. While I was not happy, the owner called me first thing in the morning to explain the situation. They started the next day and still completed the project in my timeline before Thanksgiving, and the flooring is beautiful.

Joshua gave the project personal attention from beginning to end and was agile enough to jump in to take care of any detail that needed to be addressed. His crew was the best of the best. They were not hurried and had no desire to do anything short of the best job they could do, even at what seemed to be personal expense. Everyone's dedication to the job was inspiring.

Our experience with Custom Floor Covering was a disaster and required legal involvement. First the quality of the workmanship on the hardwood floor installation was defective, and although they ultimately admitted their mistakes and remedied some of it, the time, aggravation, mess, and disruption that resulted took a heavy toll on us. It required taking it up and reinstalling it. We have multiple residential and commercial properties, and to have this get to this level is something we are not used to. Additional damage to adjacent ceramic tiles occurred, and the experience to that point was hostile and difficult, and we were uncomfortable and mistrustful by then, so letting them repair the damaged ceramic tiles was not possible.

Despite attempts to pay the majority of what we owed them, they fought us on deducting the cost of the repair for the damaged tiles. A civil lawsuit resulted, and unfortunately this was during COVID, and our reasonable attempts to reach a settlement with mediation were refused by Custom Floor Covering, Inc, and it proceeded to a virtual trial. This was a mandated virtual trial limited to only one hour, handled by a Justice of the Peace who had never passed the bar exam, and was dominated by mistruths stated by the owner and employees of Custom Floor Covering. I had only a few remaining minutes of that hour to even make a stab at getting to the truth. Unfortunately, the truth never could be shown, then another 70 days went by before a "judgement" was rendered, and it was full of factual mistakes, demonstrating a lack of understanding by this "judge". We then filed a motion of reconsideration, basically just asking her to show us her calculations and get the numbers in her math accurate. This request for reconsideration was denied with a one-word response, "DENIED". There were enough mistakes in the handling of the case at the judicial level that we certainly had grounds to appeal it, but again there is a risk and additional expense and time involved, and at a point, we decided to just cut our losses and give up. Normally not my preference, but we were sick of it.

Custom Floor Covering, Inc, their owner, and their employees will deny all this and say we were too particular, and they will say they went out of their way to agree to what were "our unreasonable personal preferences", and they will deny there was any damage and improper installation whatsoever. That is what they stated at the trial and wrongly it was accepted. Sadly, justice is not always done at any trial, and there is always that risk when you go to trial, but we felt badly violated and assumed a reasonable approach, photos demonstrating the damage, would all logically be understood and make sense. It wasn't, so I bring this up so that anyone considering flooring of any kind will not have to suffer the same experience we did. There are so many reputable companies out there who put the customer first and make their best effort to please you. Mistakes can happen, and we don't expect perfection on the first attempt, but we do expect people to be responsible when they make a mistake and take the necessary steps to resolve it. We expect them to be honest, truthful, and not lie. This was everything but that, it can be much better, and I urge anyone to avoid Custom Floor Covering, Inc. and all the misery they caused us.

I have photos, videos, and abundant documentation to fully support everything I have said here, and I will be happy to share them with anyone to prevent experiencing this unpleasantness.

The owner Greg was so awesome to deal with! We've had so many issues with contractors lacking integrity - Greg was the opposite! Returned all our calls, his crews showed up when they were supposed to and work performed was excellent! Jesus and Milton (tilers) were incredible!!! They made suggestions, asked proactively how we wanted to handle the inevitable challenges that arise in a project of this scale and their attention to detail/resultant work was of the highest quality. Greg and team rebuilt our shower, did the floor tiling and our granite for our vanity.

Hired to remove waterproofing along entire front and sides of house from previous 3ft.tall flower bed. After the estimate was presented, I called with questions. The owner personally answered my questions along with the amazing project coordinator, Kimberly. Kimberly was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with! The team was professional and showed up on time on the day they said they would (seems rare for contractors these days). They kept us updated every step of the way via email, text, and phone calls.  We will be hiring this company for our next project! The owner and the company focus on customer service and they did not disappoint! We could not be happier with our experience. Thank you!

Sent Vanessa an email and went in the next day to select flooring as we had worked with them before with mixed results (see pic of 3 of same tiles adjacent to each other looking off--which they refused to do anything about). When I walked in she was with a couple. They all just turned and stared at me, saying nothing. I was wearing a mask and no one else in the store was wearing one. AZ is the #1 hotspot in the WORLD for Covid currently. After staring at each other for a while, Vanessa finally asked me, "Are you here to pick something up?" WOW! Is it because I'm hispanic? A simple "Hello," or "I'll be with you shortly," would have been nice. "No," I said, "I'm here to select flooring." "Well...I'm gonna be a while." "Take your time," I said. They went on and on, talking half about flooring and half about trivialities. Obviously not interested in helping me so I left. I could have chalked this up to me being sensitive, but she also never responded to my email. Not recommended...unless you're caucasian?

Pelleco Home Design and Sam are excellent partners for DIY remodelers...talking with Sam is worth the time and effort and will result in significant savings and excellent design ideas.

After years of saving, my wife and I managed to purchase our first home in the desirable 85254 zip code and we knew it was going to require a minor modification to master bath and kitchen and our budget was tight.

We contacted Sam after getting another cabinet bid and he took the opportunity to evaluate the other bid and then verify the specifications.  Sam came to our home and measured the kitchen and bath. He called out discrepancies in his effort to find an "apples to apples comparison".

While he was making his measurements, he made several suggestions for how to convert the existing space to reflect current design trends, without going overboard.

His suggestions were spot on, but after disclosing our budget restrictions, he focused his recommendations on the areas we intended to remodel. Note - his ideas for future remodel were excellent.

After taking measurements and asking many questions about the scope of our remodel, he assured me he would have a very competitive bid and would email the specifics later in the day.  

Sam sent the bid as promised and it was significantly lower and had upgrades that others overlooked (Lazy Susans in corners and other subtle but important upgrades). The cabinets he bid were comparable in construction and appearance, and included upgrades.

We continued to refine the bid and expanded the scope of the bid to include counter-tops, back-splash, hardware, sink and vanities.  Each of his bids was easy to read and competitive.

Throughout this process, Sam was/is courteous, professional and takes the time to understand the limitations and considerations of his customer. This made us feel like valued customers at the start of the process and throughout the contracting relationship.

We highly recommend Sam and Pelleco Home Design for those families seeking competitive bids on home remodel projects, including, but not limited to: kitchen, master & guest baths, and living areas (including lighting).

I had a roof leak that damaged both outside and inside my home. The team at Zona has been nothing but professional. I have received often and clear communication and additional kindness that went above and beyond their job description. Ryan and Zach stood there and chatted with my 6 year old son and answered his endless questions and took the time to make him feel important. Zach did our interior and did a wonderful job! It looks like there was never any damage...like new! I received clear communication and professional and quick work from him. Highly recommended!

Despite what others say, please do your homework first.  This guy (Mike HRafi/Michael HRafi is a true con artist and will lie, cheat and steal.  I first purchased carpet from him and he did a good job.  I then hired him for another job and he outright took my money and said that the contractor he hired went bankrupt, only to find he never hired a contractor, and manufactured and altered receipts.  I am warning you, he is not a nice person.  He comes across as a caring, concerned and savvy business person; he is nothing short of a con artist.  You can call me if you like to get more information.  My number is 281.300.8282. I just don't want you to get scammed like he scammed me.
