Best Flooring Contractors in Arizona
WOMEN BEWARE
Do not book services through them. At first, this family business seemed like a great option for me, as I needed to use my vinyl for them to repair and redo my stairs. As a first time homebuyer, I was lost and really needed guidance about what to do.
1. The stairs originally had carpeting with a skirt. Where the skirt was, the drywall was damaged from pulling the carpet off. They told me to replace drywall and THEN they would do stairs. I did that for $500 and then when they finished the stairs, they left the drywall completely damaged again (see pic) the risers were also left completely unpainted, saying they don't do drywall or painting. I ended up paying $470 more again after the project was complete to finish paint and drywall. I later learned that a stair skirt would've solved my issues. I was never offered that and now it's too late. Why was the job not finished??? Why wasn't I given my options of a stair skirt?
2. My initial project start date was pushed out over two weeks because the installer had a family thing. When they gave me notice, it was for the next day at 7am. I WFH and had to move a lot of meetings (which is okay! I would rather get this project done). Well at 12pm I had an important meeting that could not be moved, I asked the installers to take a 1/2 hour break. I got a scathing email from Marilyn basically saying "you don't tell our workers to stop working!" -- how do you let your installers work partially outside in AZ without a break....
3. I had to bring my own materials to their office (40 min away) and had to get things measured 2x. I also ordered a doorway reducer which was completely left off the project and never made. When I asked about it, they made me try and measure the doorway and bring them materials--isn't that a contractors job? How am I supposed to measure the height of tile vs vinyl in a doorway (which is millimeters) isn't this part of the service?
4. Installers were not made aware of a specific area to do, so when I said "yes that part is included" I got yet another scathing email from Michael / Marilyn saying that I was telling the installers to do extra work. They clearly have communication issues.
5. When installers came back to redo some vinyl that was lifting, they tried to guilt trip me, saying "we did this area and didn't know we were not supposed to do it so we never got paid" -- sounds like their employers problem.
6. When I tried to get them to come back and fix that spot, Michael called me and absolutely BERATED me on the phone. I'm not kidding-- my whole family witnessed it. He yelled at me saying I was trying to cheat them out of the project. What I was simply trying to say (and could not get out because the owner Michael was literally SCREAMING at me. ) was that I was not going to pay until they came back and made a reducer and fixed the lifting vinyl. They wanted me to again run the materials up and measure myself for their communication lapse (I have emails to prove I included a reducer). He stated he would send his lawyer after me if I didn't pay ASAP --again project was not complete.
To the installers: please create your own business on Thumbtack so you don't have to work for this company. You work hard and seem to not be treated as well as you could.
Overall, if you are a women or someone who does not know a lot about Millworking, please please look to book elsewhere. I am traumatized from Michael screaming at me and the communication between multiple family members and installers for this project was an absolute mess. I ended up letting them know that I could only email from them on. STAY AWAY!!!!! Get everything in writing!!!!!

We had Ground Control come in and grind down and polish our concrete floors. They did an amazing job and their communication was superb! We will be using them again in the near future for some more floor work. Thank you!

I had this company come do laminate flooring, base boards and door mouldings at our house. They did a great job and they did it quickly and for a really reasonable price. I will definitely recommend them.

Frank is wonderful! (If you would like to skip the story of my history with Frank below, the last paragraph of this review defines specifically what I consider so wonderful about him.)
I contacted Frank for the first time prior to moving into my circa 1972 Tempe home from SoCal. All planning and scheduling was done via phone and emails, which can be tricky but wasn't with Frank. I wanted a large pseudo-sunken (read trip hazard) LR filled in with concrete and all new tile installed in the living areas and kitchen. I sent him a deposit and scheduled the work.
Due to issues with closing escrow and through no fault of Frank's, the project was delayed and he needed to begin another scheduled project. Contractually, he could have walked away with my deposit but far from it! He came in over the weekend, pulled up the old tile and filled the hole. THEN he referred me to his top competition to lay my tile! Such behavior is beyond rare in this industry.
From that point on, I have given Frank first right if refusal on all of my projects. He has since built an interior dividing wall and stuccoed an outdoor wall for me.
That outdoor stuccoed wall was truly a challenge. I needed a flat, smooth canvas-type surface for a planned mural behind my pool. Frank and others told me it really shouldn't be done because the chances were high that without texturing, the smooth stucco would soon crack and ruin the artwork.
Knowing how disappointed I was, he contacted me a few days later to say he had done some fairly extensive research and found a specialty stucco product with fiberglass mixed in and a special curing process that should hold up. I was thrilled and have now been able to move forward with the mural.
Suffice to say that I find Frank to be professional, resourceful, and fiercely dedicated to his customers! His work and attention to detail are superb and clean. His team and the subs he sends in are very knowledgeable and reflect the quality Frank requires. His communication is excellent, retuning my calls and replying to emails and texts in a timely manner. His prices are fair and he works hard for every dime. Simply put, he's my go-to contractor!

We used Floor Coverings International Chandler Gilbert to redo the flooring in our entire house and also artificial turf in our back yard. Our sales rep was full of energy and very enjoyable. We spent about 3 hours together. She measured the house, backyard and showed us lots of products. I loved the entire process. After selecting, we did need to wait 2 weeks for the install of the grass and about 2 1/2 weeks for the flooring. That was the only issue in the entire process. The crew for the backyard came in, ripped out the old ugly grass and rock and installed the fake grass. It looks fantastic and I'm so happy. What made me happiest was the flooring. We installed new carpet and tile throughout the house. The installers were fantastic and the job just makes the house look like new. We had a punch list to go through. We are quite detailed and the owner came over, took our concerns and finished the entire list prior to asking us for final payment. I'm thrilled with the entire project and will be recommending them to our friends. The attention to detail, care for our home and professionalism was top notch.

Joshua gave the project personal attention from beginning to end and was agile enough to jump in to take care of any detail that needed to be addressed. His crew was the best of the best. They were not hurried and had no desire to do anything short of the best job they could do, even at what seemed to be personal expense. Everyone's dedication to the job was inspiring.

We recently had all our floors redone with tile and carpeting and the experience was above our expectations. We had really good customer service and assistance in choices for our tile and carpet. We needed it completed before Thanksgiving and they worked through the weekend to get the job done in time. It all turned out really nice and I was so impressed at the job they did cleaning every surface and all the shelves. I expected to have to do some myself to get ready for the holiday but they did an excellent job and I was ready to start cooking and have company!

Recently purchased an older home in the area and happened to pass by this place daily while moving. It was small and I didn't think it will have the selection of bigger flooring retailers BUT I was wrong...... it had better prices and a better selection than all the places I had been checking out. They worked with me every step of the way by letting me take samples to see what I loved, to making sure I could get installed exactly when I needed. ASK FOR RYAN when you go in, he even showed up while the installers were there to check on things and contacted us that evening to make sure we loved our new flooring. A great place to do business with!!!

I bought a house that was supposedly all redone. After a month I noticed the baseboards around the all tile shower were starting to show water staining. Well Oko from Imperial figured out that the installers had not installed the membrane under the tile correctly and got the pictures to prove it. Oko and Sal did an awesome job tearing out the old floor and lower wall, install concrete backing, replacing membrane and correctly forming base with great drainage. Lastly, they did a great job installing the tile I picked. Great customer service and price. Oko stands behind his work and is awesome !

We recently had wood laminate installed in three bedrooms. The installer, Robin and his helper were meticulous in their work. They also cleaned up the rooms after each day. The showroom had many selections. All in all, very positive experiences with the saleswoman and the installer. I would recommend this company!

Sam did a bathroom remodel for us. When it was finished we noticed the two cabinet doors were warped and other items needed fixed of which he did correct. It took awhile before he sent someone out to fix the doors. His crew didn't get it right several times. After TWO YEARS he finally got someone to correct the problem. We had to call or text him constantly to find out what was going on with the doors. He had all kinds of excuses such as he was out of town or the guys we're out of town. Also someone had Covid or were sick. Excuses after excuses one of which they were out of paint. he had no one who could fix it, etc. At times he seemed irritated with us for asking about our doors. We would either call or text him every other week. Glad it's over. To say the least would never hire Sam.

I was in the design center in mid October Salesman was rude to my husband and while I did proceed with him we did a design that day but did not complete. after I left the showroom communication with him was spotty. He would not return a call. I moved on to look for another source. I did not find one I liked as well as cabinets to go product. On Oct 31 We went back in the center and asked for a different salesman. I was promised he would not treat us like the previous salesman. we did design picked cabinets. He called to make sure they were in stock and promised delivery in next two weeks. We paid in full and signed contract. We left the store Oct 31. any and all communication between Rick salesman and store manager Brett has been generated by us. They do not return calls, do not respond to messages and on the last week in November store manager left my husband a voice mail telling us how busy they had been. He said they had 20 pallets if cabinets they had not had time to deal with. This is my attempt to contact some of those other buyers like ourselves who are waiting and being fed bullshit. I also would like to keep anyone else from having to experience this frustration and stress and added expense. I would not recommend to anyone you can buy custom cabinets and have installed in less time than dealing with this.

my wife bought a laminated from this company and left a deposit of $6200 , after i read some of the review that " i think it was phony " told the wife may be we should go with another company , she assure me that the bad review is not right , as far i see they are good people and very plied and they will deliver the material on time and that is exact happen, first of all they been in floor covering over 30 years and they have very good installers , and as far as I know (from the same installer ) they install over 20 to 30 homes daily . I highly recommend this company to every house hold .
