Best Flooring Contractors in Arizona
Updating after receiving a reply from the business to my review.
Dale I understand where you are coming from as a locally-owned business however, not having samples available for check-out prevents us from coming back to your store and buying from you in the future. As we explained when in the store we don't want or need a free in-home estimate. We have a contractor hired and they will be taking the measurements and placing the order for us based on the wood tile product we select. Your employees kept trying to get us to cut out the contractor and have you provide the estimate which we explained we were not interested in. Arizona Tile created the experience we were looking for and allow samples to be checked out. All the best but we won't be returning to your store.

Travis knows his stuff! After visiting several other carpet stores, we were drawn to giving Floor Depot our business due to Travis' honesty, knowledge and trustworthiness. You will see what I mean if/when you meet him.
We were carpeting a spare bedroom that was in immediate need. With the Covid crowd having all the contractors backed up for several weeks, Travis was able to influence one of his go-to contractors to carpet our bedroom within 2 days of our carpet being delivered (8 days from when we first walked into his store!) We actually selected our carpet from a different store. Not only was Travis able to get it for us in half the time....his price was almost $1.50 sq.ft. less then his competitor. Can't promise he will be able do that for everyone. But, wow! For us...we now have a carpet/floor company that is going to get 100% of our business going forward.
Again, it's worth your time just to go in and talk to Travis. You will understand straight-away that this guy is incapable of deception, and he will do whatever he can to keep your project on schedule.
Highly recommend!

If you are looking for a company that will do a great job for you, you have found it. Vine was terrific and did everything he could to give us a great experience and truly a fantastic job. Any concern we had during the job was taken care of. Vine's entire focus was to see that our granite turned out beautiful. We just love the look of it and the service could not have been better. When Vine tells you what he is going to do and when he is going to do it,you can honestly take that to the bank,it gets done. Gary T

Hired Russ to do an accent wall with laminate in our master bedroom. He did a fantastic job and even helped us put back the shutters on the windows and helped put back king size bed frame and mattress! Being retired senior citizens, that little extra help was greatly appreciated. Thank you for a job well done!

Cesar and his dad make the dynamic duo. They were professional, always in constant communication and hard workers. They got it done so quickly and efficiently and stayed within our budget. Will definitely have then do our bathroom when we are ready. Highly recommend.

I'm so happy I found Jeff and Floor Depot North. We went to almost every flooring store in the valley, and brought home so many different samples. Jeff was very knowledgeable, patient, and not pushy. I was looking at dark oil finish hardwoods, and they just weren't looking right in the house. Jeff picked out two Provenza Pompeii colors I would have never in a million years tried... I trusted his judgement, gave them a shot, and both were so perfect in the house that I had a really hard time picking between the two. After several weeks of bringing the same samples back, and then checking them out again, I finally made up my mind. I couldn't be happier, everything about the wood, service, and installation was perfect.
Jeff recommended an installer who was excellent. He was a perfectionist, beveling the edges of the wood so it would line up to the tile perfectly without a T-mold. I'm so happy with Floor Depot North, and the installer he recommended, that I'm already saving up to do the rest of my house... I know who I'm calling when it's time!

So, I've been waiting 10 days for you to Address my concerns and you have not. I was the last one to contact you and tell you all the things I was not satisfied with and it has been 10 days and you have done nothing nor have you contacted me. You have the money over or almost $6000 that was not your money and you have kept it and I am told that if you have cash the checks that have my name on them that it is fraudulent. You also have access to my house. So that was a poor excuse to give the insurance company because you have a lock box and you have a set of my keys.

AZ Remodel Pros installed cabinetry and a hall tree for our laundry room. The process was smooth and efficient from start to finish. Izzy had great ideas for the project and Joey did excellent work. We are so excited to have such a beautiful and functional space!

Builders flooring and design recently remodeled our home in Queen Creek and we loved it! Nik and Kathryn were helpful and response throughout the entire process.
They put in new flooring and cabinets, along with new baseboards, and everything looks great!
I would ABSOLUTELY recommend them to anyone looking to build, or remodel!

I had a great kitchen remodel experience working with Burton. We replaced the flooring (dark wood tile), installed granite countertops and a stainless steel sink, painted the cabinets white and removed an awful stucco backsplash put in by the previous owners. They textured above and below the cabinets to match the rest of our walls until we pick a new backsplash. It all turned out better than I imagined and working with Burton was great. Can't wait to use them again in the future.

I needed a new contractor to do some renovations on our new home so we turned to Yelp and and found shepherd contracting. We used Thomas and his team when my new home needed some updating. The communication was above and beyond. We love our new bathrooms and will post updated photos soon!

Great experience all around - hired for a framing job and liked the work so much we used them for additional work. Top notch quality and reliability. Good find!!

Apache Tile Outlet was recommended to me by one of their previous customers and is THE place to go for professionalism, great customer service, and quality, for the BEST price ANYWHERE! Ben and his crew, Julio and Jesus, just finished installing my granite kitchen counter top today and it's SPECTACULAR! It's only been 11 DAYS since I first found the slab of my dreams to today's installation. There was even enough left of the slab to cut a top for my guest bathroom to install later on. Ben goes out of his way to stay in touch and makes sure you get the best deal possible without sacrificing quality workmanship. I LOVE my new granite countertop! Thanks, Ben and crew, for an OUTSTANDING job!

Terrible terrible company to work with! I was actually referred this company from someone who worked with them so I took a chance.
If you ever want to be more frustrated with a company then this is the one. I had a terrible experience with getting my floors done with them. Michelle is a great sales person but after she sells you what you want don't expect much after that.
I was never told that they subcontracted out and I even asked when deciding to go with their company if they had their own guys working for them and they were obviously dishonest. The subcontractor they hired, Manny, did not make me aware of the extent of what my concrete was like prior to laying the tile. I get a text Thursday morning saying he did this amount of work grinding the concrete and used this amount of red guard to seal it and I needed to write him a check for $515 dollars. Prior to him doing this I discussed with him via telephone I need pictures or I can come by to see what work needs to be done so I have an expectation of what needs to be done. I contacted Michelle about the situation and she texts me:
"Manny is for tax purposes a subcontractor but he works exclusively for us. That is why we let you pay them directly for any of this unforeseen floor preparation we do not make any money on this. Did he show you the cracks in the floor and explain what he is going to do? It happens occasionally and if I do not address these cracks your floor is going to fail. I promise you that he is not taking advantage of this situation. He does not want to lose his job over such a small amount. If you would like I will be happy to contact Scotty the owner and he will come out there to explain everything and also take a look at it."
I didn't hear one thing of course and he did the work then laid the tile over it. I was so angry about how Michelle belittled the amount of $515. It may not seem like a lot to her but that's a lot to me! I spoke to the owner about my concern about it and how this angered me. Scott proceeds to say that he went by my house and saw what was done and believes it was correct. We compromised on the price and I thought it would be end of my troubles. Of course not..
I checked on the work the next evening and saw that he changed the look of one of transition/deco tile in a doorway compared to three other doorways. I didn't understand why he would do this and not inform me so I called him. We discussed it and I said I would like to see my options before you decide to grout this down because it didn't make sense that one doorway looked different from the other three in the same hallway. He says to me he will show up the next morning between 6:30-7 and if I can come by we can discuss it more. At 6:40 I get a text from him saying he will be later in the morning and will let me know when he is heading over. Around 11, I am getting peeved waiting so I call him..no answer. At 11:30 I show up to my house and see the floor is grouted down including the doorway we discussed. On top of that he did such a bad job that there were so many hi-low spots and sharp corners that you could instantly feel when walking across. I marked every bad spot with blue tape that my floors looked it had blue polka dots everywhere. I called him and called him while I was there, I even called Michelle, and no one ever returned my call Sunday or Monday, and I didn't hear from Manny until Tuesday around 10:30am. I was unable to answer him or talk to anyone due to a medical treatment and had to have my mom help set things straight while I was in a clinic getting treatment. The frustration of having to hear from my mom while being elsewhere was stressful enough. Needless to say Manny was no longer involved with my floors after getting the general manager and many others involved. I had to get my floors redone in many places by another guy named Junior they brought to finish the job. He was better to work with but I still had to point out some things I was unhappy with. I had to push back deliveries with two company's for another two weeks and delay another floor company from refinishing the other tile I had in my house for another week and a half.
My time and money are precious to me and this company didn't understand that at all. I have never been more stressed out over what should've been a smoother process. I don't think I need to say it but I DO NOT RECOMMEND working with this company. Save yourself the hassle and money.

I used Rob when moving out of my rental. I was worried I wasn't going to get my security deposit back because I had potty trained 2 dogs and the carpet was stained and smelled. Rob made all the carpeting look better than they did when I moved in and the smell was completely gone. On top of all that he was cheaper than all other quotes that I got. I got my entire deposit back and my landlord even thanked me for leaving the place in such great condition. I will definitely be using rob in our new house when the time comes.

First off, I will say that the new pocket doors are installed, look good, and function as they are supposed to. That's not the issue. What it took to get to this point IS the issue, and was hardly a pleasant walk in the park. We are generally agreeable people, and felt we got taken advantage of because we both have some background in construction and know certain delays can happen. Did they do all the work they were quoted to do? Sure. But they were S-L-O-W.
The original person that was sent to price the job was knowledgeable, friendly but quiet, and seemed to understand exactly what was said when certain considerations were mentioned with regard to either door. He quoted us a 2 day job. I expected a 2 day job. Then they changed our 'craftsman' to someone else, and things went downhill. These guys are nice and polite, but overall the experience has been rather unpleasant considering the amount of time it's taken.
Putting aside the basic lack in punctuality where they couldn't seem to arrive at the scheduled time, it's also taken four days to install TWO pocket doors. I will concede that 1 day was necessary since the doors were special order and required waiting for delivery, but the other three days have been ridiculous. And the work completed in all 4 days, doors present or not, could have been done in 2 at the most, had there been any attention to detail and a general care for professionalism.
Day 1 should have just been a wash in general, because we didn't even have the pocket door frame. They should have come in and talked to us about the frame, ordered it and then picked up for the next day while we ordered the rest of the materials for the job. Instead, they arrived late and stayed till 2 so they could order and pick up the pocket door frame hardware. In that span of time they managed to take the sheetrock off the wall on one side of each doorway, and removed the studs in only one wall.
Day 2 they arrived late because they went to pick up the materials we had purchased, which added time to their arrival. Then they proceeded to take from their arrival to 6pm to move some electric lines for the GFCI and light switches, reframed the basic structure of the bathroom wall (minus the pocket door frame), and removed the studs in the closet doorway/wall.
Day 3 they arrived late since they felt it was better to alter the pocket door frames at their shop instead of on the job. We generally agreed with that, but still feel it took far longer than necessary. Since they had the pocket door frames, they managed to somehow get them installed and put back the sheetrock that they had removed on Day 1. Despite the fact that we had purchased all new sheetrock. A fact we were "okay" with when they had to use their own wiring to reroute the light switches. But now, that also feels like something else they did to take advantage of our amiable nature.
Day 4, scheduled for 9am. The night before we received a text message that said 'see you around 9:30-ish', which was also very unprofessional. Needless to say, they arrived later than their texted ETA, and started working at 10. After two hours, they only had one door hung, half the trim, and zero handles cut in. After six hours (keep in mind this is hour six on DAY FOUR), they were finally applying tape and mud, had one handle cut in and attached, and that was pretty much it.
Our final analysis:
In total, it took 24 and 1/2 hours to demo for, install, and finish (minus door trim and paint which we are doing ourselves) TWO pocket doors. The drywall patching was a mess, drywall compound smeared all over the trim in certain places. They didn't shim properly so one of the doorways needs to be adjusted. There are 1" gaps next to the framing of the other door that they couldn't have bothered to use the drywall we paid for to patch it up, and instead left the gaps visible for us to either fill or cover up. There are screws from the drywall that are still visible.
We've spent a total of $1500 (approximately) in labor, and another $600 in materials (doors, frames, sheetrock, studs). It's money we could have saved had I known how to install pocket doors myself, and was willing to play with electricity to move the switches. It's $1500 wasted, in my opinion. If they had done it in 2 days, I'd be more agreeable, but this has but this has been a nightmare.
We paid, because we signed a contract. However, we will never hire Handyman Connection for any project again. Hopefully we'll be able to make that mediocre-to-bad job look good, because right now it looks like amateur hour. If we can't do that next small job using the internet and our own abilities, we just won't get it done.

Had them come out to my home, sat at my table, discussed the project, took measurements etc. Said they'd have a quote in 3 days. Coming onto almost two weeks and no responses to my follow ups. I imagine how it would be if they had my money. If you are the type of person who loves having their time wasted, these guys are for you.

Run.
We contacted EF to look at replacing carpets and possibly tile in our house. The salesman seemed bent on selling us carpet, even though my wife was interested in possibly going all tile. We ended up going with a carpet replacement and scheduled it a week from the sale. We paid up front in full. The week leading up to the job no one contacted us to confirm. We prepped our house like they told us, to take all items off the furniture they would have to move. On the day of the job, we had to call them to ask if they were coming and they said no. We were livid. After a lot of noise they said they'd try to get someone to come out later, but then called us in an hour saying they wouldn't make it that day. They rescheduled for the following week and offered a $150 refund. We weren't happy but agreed. We had to live a whole other week with our house rearranged for a carpet replacement.
The following week I called and made sure we were confirmed for our job, they assured us we were. Come the day of the job they called AGAIN and said they weren't going to make it. This time we had enough. We told them if they didn't come that day then we would cancel the order completely. They were able to send someone out. The contractor spent as much time talking to my wife as he did actually working. They finally finished that evening.
A few weeks later I got a call from a customer feedback representative and I related the story above to him with the fact that we still hadn't seen any rebate. He apologized (which is pretty much all he could do) and assured me that he would personally make sure that we would get it.
It has now been several weeks since that interaction and we still haven't seen dime one from these people. We don't expect to. Don't let the commercials and jingle fool you, this is a shifty operation which will leave you hanging at every opportunity. Run.
