Best Flooring Contractors in Arizona
We recently started shopping around for tile to replace the existing carpet and laminate on the 1st floor of our home in Gilbert. After a bad experience with a salesperson from Express Flooring, my wife and I walked into Flooring America in Chandler. The salesperson was nice and listened as we explained what we were looking for. He showed us a good variety of tiles that fit our needs. We picked out our three favorite options and set up an appointment for Dale, the owner, to come take some measurements and give an estimate for the job.
Dale was nice enough to come to the house at the end of the evening. I worked late and my son had cub scouts so Dale agreed to come over at 730 PM so that I could take care of what I needed to. He brought the 3 pieces of tile that we selected in the store and we were able to see how they would look. It made it easy to choose our favorite. He took his measurements and explained all options for the installation. We ended up choosing to have them installed diagonally which would cost more due to the fact that more tiles needed to be cut and there would be more materials wasted. The price we agreed upon was cheaper (diagonal install) than the price we were quoted from Express Flooring (horizontal install). Dale left and told me that he would contact me the next day with an estimate on a start date. The next day, he informed me that the installers would begin the job on Monday (4 business days). This was fine with me as I had a lot of stuff to move off the first floor.
As scheduled, the contractors showed up on Monday bright and early. They helped me move a few pieces of furniture that I could not move myself and then got started ripping out the old floor. The boss told me the job should be finished on Friday and then left his installer to complete the job. "The worker", as my six year old son referred to him, worked very hard and put in 12 hour days. He was very nice and didn't seem at all bothered by all the questions the boy was asking or the instructions the boy gave him like..."don't break those tiles Mister" HAHAHA. The installer really took his time to make sure all cut pieces of tile looked right. I'll just say it... They are "perfect" and his attention to detail was first rate.
The only knock I have on the whole job, from beginning to end is that the install took a full six days instead of the estimated five. But, at this point, I don't care because the floor looks freakin fabulous. Dale and his family run an excellent business and I will definitely be going back to them when I do my upstairs flooring and bathroom upgrades. Oh yeah... And they do kitchen countertops also. If your looking for some work done in your home... Look no further than Flooring America in Chandler.

Let me start by saying that I did not purchase my flooring from Floor Depot. Rather, after working with me for about 2 weeks; providing me sample boards to take home, ordering a sample board for me that he didn't have, and helping me carry countless heavy sample boards to my car, Travis recommended I purchase the flooring I wanted elsewhere as he thought I could get a better price at another store. Talk about honesty! Talk about exceptional customer service! The price he did quote me for my 2nd choice flooring (Provenza) was unbeatable. I absolutely recommend Floor Depot. I doubt you'll find a better price elsewhere and if there is a better price elsewhere, you can trust Travis to steer you in the right direction. Support local business and honest sales- it's a rarity these days!

Alex is so easy to work with, it feels more like working with family. He takes care of you, helps you with decisions and creates the most beautiful pieces. Always professional. AZ Royal Granite has a superb selection of stone. We have used them in 3 of our homes. He has worked along side with our cabinet maker to create 2 stunning tables in our home. They are like art pieces in our home. Wouldn't go with anyone else, ever!

If I could give more stars I would. Russ was the third handyman that came to look at an issue I was having with a casement window. The other people just couldn't figure it out. I almost gave up and just had the whole window replaced. Russ came in and got it fixed within 30 minutes! I am so grateful for the Job he did. The price was very fair and the service was outstanding. I will 100% use him in the future. Thank you again Russ, for your help.

Cesar and his dad make the dynamic duo. They were professional, always in constant communication and hard workers. They got it done so quickly and efficiently and stayed within our budget. Will definitely have then do our bathroom when we are ready. Highly recommend.

Jeff was customer service at it's best, laid back but totally responsive and helpful through the ordering, and to the completion of the project.
Any material needs that arose were quickly met. Even in route to pick up materials I called to add additional items and when I arrived they were ready. Totally new to laminate flooring and the installation process, I had a few questions and concerns, Jeff answered all questions.
Great service..Highly Recommend.
Also he saved me $$$

Hands down, Q is one of the best out there - he's honest, hardworking, knowledgeable and very trustworthy. I referred him to my family members as well. Easy to communicate with and no project is too big or too small from electric, plumbing to installing tvs, I would highly recommend him to everyone.

We hired Az Remodeling Pros to install new porcelain flooring and kitchen. The work was quite extensive as it required removal of walls, new plumbing lines, and a lot of electrical work.
The team was hard working, timely, knowledgeable, and professional. We now have the home of our dreams and the chef's kitchen that is the centerpiece of family time.

Builders flooring and design recently remodeled our home in Queen Creek and we loved it! Nik and Kathryn were helpful and response throughout the entire process.
They put in new flooring and cabinets, along with new baseboards, and everything looks great!
I would ABSOLUTELY recommend them to anyone looking to build, or remodel!

We used Kitchen and Bath Remodeling for a bathroom remodel. Mike P. and his crew were amazing. We removed a small shower and separate tub and had Kitchen and Bath Remodeling create one large shower with a bench and three showerheads. The process was seamless from demo, to plumbing, to tiling, and all the finishing touches. They had a crew repaint the bathroom ceiling and touch up other areas that were needed. The tile crew was very clean, polite, and courteous and did a great job. They worked long hours just to get the job done quickly. I'm so pleased with how the bathroom remodel turned out and would recommend Kitchen and Bath Remodeling without hesitation. Thanks for turning my drab shower into a spa-like retreat!

I needed a new contractor to do some renovations on our new home so we turned to Yelp and and found shepherd contracting. We used Thomas and his team when my new home needed some updating. The communication was above and beyond. We love our new bathrooms and will post updated photos soon!

This is an update to my review from yesterday. I have lowered their rating and highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this company or their contracted installers. The installer failed to secure the sink to the cabinet with the necessary clips and also damaged my faucet causing it to leak, so I had to replace that too. In all I have had to spend an additional $1000 to secure the sink, reconnect the plumbing, replace and install the new faucet.

This started out so good, but they dropped the ball. Manager Jim Pollack was great. Super nice, really informed, and found the perfect carpet for us. The problem is with installation. They didn't finish the job on the first day and now, to weeks later, we still don't have our last closet done. Installation manager Gabriel is a terrible communicator. He doesn't return calls and no-showed to finish the job two days in a row. Absolutely ruined what had been a good experience.

If you are looking for flooring, Rafal's your guy! Rafal and his team were excellent right from the start. I emailed Olympic Hardwood from their website looking for an estimate after receiving one from another company. Rafal responded immediately, worked around my schedule to come out to my home the next evening and took the time to discuss all the different options that were available while taking accurate measurements. We met him at his showroom the next day and you can tell Rafals passion for his work by his exceptional customer service! He really wants you to be happy with your investment. He provided several quotes based on different options and always with a smile and prompt! Once we made our selection, he was even able to squeeze our install in the same week! I'll be using Rafal again next year for our upstairs flooring project - hands down!

If I could give Rob 6 stars I would!!! He is that fantastic. I called Rob on a Saturday morning and told him that I wanted the tile, carpet and one couch cleaned. He booked me in that same day. He was extremely prompt and arrived when he said he was going to. I even got a phone call to let me know he was on his way. The price he quoted me on the phone was very close to what he charged me and true to his word there was no up-sell. My first impression of Rob was very positive. He is a very nice and personable guy and let me tell you, a very hard worker. I love people that take pride in their work and do their best job each and every time. That is Rob. The job at my house was bigger than I thought. Rob spent over 35 minutes alone doing the carpeting in just one of my bedrooms. Amazing dedication to his craft, and oh my the carpet had never looked so clean. He also did my fabric couch and it now looks brand new! The tile floors look equally fantastic. When I woke up this morning and walked into the kitchen I could not believe how clean everything looked. Hats off to you Rob, you clean as well if not better than my Mom and that is the greatest compliment I could give you. I highly recommend Rob. In fact, I am going to give my Mom a call and have her use Rob to clean her tile and carpets.

So disappointing! I took the afternoon off of work to be home for their estimate and they cancelled my appointment at the last minute.
I understand that emergencies come up and schedules change so I tried to reschedule my estimate for the following week for which they told me they were "booked" and wouldn't even do a courtesy to fit me in on a day that would work with my schedule.
So disappointing!

We had Patterson do a pretty large remodel ($135k) on our home and yard. Darren was the super and he was good while in the project. However it took a lot longer than estimated - was supposed to get done in 2018 but was not done until late May 2019. After the project was done there was NO follow up. we could not get Darren to respond. I noticed in August if 2020 there were some issues with the work that was done so i again reached out to Darren with no response. again, and no one foloowed. Patterson EVER followed up with us.
A few weeks ago the new pool pump they installed quit working so i reached out to Patterson Homes and they sent someone out, but they thought it was for an estimate. He said yep those are warranty issues but i need to talk to my boss who will have to talk Ryan the owner. The Estimators Boss called me and said it is Ryan's issue. I asked that Mr Patterson call me. He has not. So I called the office and asked for him to call me. He has not.
oh, and they never registered the pool equipment with the manufacturer. They didn't tell me to register it either.
I also learned that Darren quit/got let go right after my project was done. No one ever thought to follow up
I googled Mr Patterson and it looks l like he has some other issues he may be dealing with.
I would not recommend them to anyone. You spend that much money and no follow up, no return calls, not honoring they warranty. That is poor business. and it
looks like there are ethics issues also. I would not give them any stars.

We selected this company based on the advertising we saw on TV and because they agreed to move the furniture. We didn't do our research or read reviews. That was our BIG mistake.
1. Our sales meeting with Bob went smoothly. We set an installation date a month out from our booking date. During this sales meeting day, I was reminded several times of what would happen on the day of install: Someone will call you in the morning and give me the window of time that the installers would arrive. On the day of the install I waited... and waited and waited... Finally, around 11am I called to find out why I had not received a call. I got the phone call run around for at least 2 hours... Evidently someone put the wrong date in the computer for installation. The new flooring was being installed in a vacation home and I made a special 100-mile trip to make sure I was here on the correct date.
2. New install date was the next day. Two men showed up in an old beat up pick up truck. The only way I could identify them was from their t-shirts. One installer spoke NO English and the other I could barely understand. They never even introduced themselves; just wanted to know where the area was where they had to work. They didn't wear masks.
3. During the moving of the furniture they were blasting their music so loud, I had to ask them to turn it down. It states in the contract that they will move the furniture, but in fine print says that they are not professional movers. Well, that is for sure, as they put two big dents in one of our dressers. (If they can't move furniture without damaging it, then don't offer that service!). They put sharp cutting tools and cans of soda on our wood furniture. Placed containers of the sealant/cement on the rug. Turned the ceiling fan on so high in one of the rooms that the fan was swinging on the ceiling and a blade broke off the fan. I was told they were going to replace fan but as of yet, have no idea how that will happen. The installers wanted me to give them bottles of water (which I didn't have); and seemed insulted when I told them we drank tap water. After playing music on their phones all day, they wanted to use my iPhone charger to charge their phones.
4. The installers left on Thursday afternoon saying they would be back the next day to complete the corking between the baseboards and the floor in one room and two closets. They left a total mess throughout the house. I expected to have dust, but the mess they left was beyond just dust. Even my patio furniture was ruined where they mixed the cement. It took me 3 hours to clean my patio area after they left. When they left on Thursday, they wanted me to sign off on the job even though it was not completed. I told them I wouldn't sign off until after they came back and finished the job. The installers were so angry with me, they stormed out of the house slamming doors. Totally unprofessional.
5. The next day, Friday: I waited until 2pm for them to return to complete the job. I finally called again. I spoke to Devin who told me that Antonio, who is the manager of this area would send someone out Saturday morning between 8-10 to complete the job.
6. At 11:30am on Saturday I called the office AGAIN to find out if anyone was coming, as no one had showed up. It was only after I made that call that the same two guys came to finish job. They knew they were doing corking and came with the cork gun, but no rags or paper towels to clean the excess; totally not prepared. I had to supply them with rags to wipe up the excess.
I've only had the flooring (vinyl planks) for a couple of days, but I love the look of the product and I think it will work for us. So, I'm pleased with the product, but extremely disappointed in the service. I will most likely never use this company again.
