Best Flooring Contractors in Arizona
This is our second time using Flooring America and will not be our last, competitive pricing, great quality of products, employees are friendly, professional, and courteous. Dale is fair, friendly and professional. We generally get 3 quotes prior to work being completed, each time we have selected Dale and his team, next time we will just go with Flooring America and save our time. With both of our jobs there were challenges with sub-flooring, and unevenness with the concrete slab due the age of the house. The additional work needed to have the job done right was reasonable, when others would have seized the opportunity to gouge the customer. Jake and his crew did both of our installations and I cannot say enough about the quality of his/their work. He does a great job of checking with you along the way if there are choices to be made during the installation, he also makes recommendations based on his experience that gives his work a clean look. This is not an easy task when blending new materials with existing flooring. I 100% agree with all the other reviews except the 1 negative review. If there is ever an error or a problem Dale will make it right. If you decide to go with Flooring America for your flooring need you will not be disappointed!

We purchased through Floor Depot at the recommendation of my son and cautiously recommend this business.
Travis is awesome and great to work with, very knowledgeable and helpful in our purchase. Their merchandise selection is great and we are very happy with what we ordered.
The reason for a 4 star rating is they are not a full service floor company so we had to hire two other companies, recommended by Travis, to complete our job demo and install. So while the price may be lower because you must pay check/cash, the frustration of dealing with and scheduling multiple contractors was a no fun at all. If you go with a Full Service company, you'll pay more but stress less. So it's really a personal choice of how much work you're willing to have to do and/or put up with.
Overall, the Floor Depot is a great store and we do recommend them. We do not however recommend their recommended contractor which we used, Kodiak Tile and Stone.

Alex is so easy to work with, it feels more like working with family. He takes care of you, helps you with decisions and creates the most beautiful pieces. Always professional. AZ Royal Granite has a superb selection of stone. We have used them in 3 of our homes. He has worked along side with our cabinet maker to create 2 stunning tables in our home. They are like art pieces in our home. Wouldn't go with anyone else, ever!

I couldn't be happier with the floor selection and quality of their products. Jeff is very honest and professional . He is always there in case more material is needed. I very highly recommend his business and advice. Jeff also connected me with a very professional floor installation company; they both communicate to give excellence in service.

Q is literally the best handy man ever. Ever since the first day I hired him, he has tackled all of the crazy random jobs I've thrown at him quickly and professionally. I don't even feel right calling him a handy man as he is way more than that! On top all of that, he's super sweet. I will miss him and all of his amazing work when he leaves California. Damn you Arizona for stealing Q from us!!

My daughter referred me to Arizona Carpet and Restoration because she had a good experience with them. (She also referred me to Yelp, so here I am sharpening my review skills!) Anyways, I have my share of pet stains, so I called this company to see what they could do. They scheduled me within the week which was nice, and when the carpet cleaner arrived, he treated every stain before pulling out the "big guns". The steam cleaning method seemed effective, and didn't take long to dry, all things considered. Sure enough, he got the stains out. It did bring up some odors, but he warned me about this, and they went away soon thereafter. I'm happy with the experience, and would recommend them as the customer service was up to par.

After my review the owner of the business, Brian, reached out. It seems there was some confusion as who was going to contact who. I was impressed in talking with Brian and learning more about him. My take away is that he is honest, empathic, and a hard working business owner. Since I had no work done I cannot speak to their craftmanship.
I will give 5 stars for the integrity and communication on the part of the owner.

Nik and Katheryn were very helpful and answered all of my questions for our second kitchen remodel. I'm super happy with our new tile, cabinets, and countertops. We will continue to use Builders' Flooring to remodel each of our rental properties.

Just completed a full master bath remodel with K&B. Very pleased with the results. Tyson and crew did an excellent job. Workers were efficient, professional and clean. Including wearing masks when appropriate. They were flexible and helpful in both functional and design recommendations. Pricing was clear and competitive. I highly recommend adding K&B to your contact list if you're in the market for any remodeling project, big or small.

I needed a new contractor to do some renovations on our new home so we turned to Yelp and and found shepherd contracting. We used Thomas and his team when my new home needed some updating. The communication was above and beyond. We love our new bathrooms and will post updated photos soon!

I hired them to remove a load bearing wall from my house, I wanted to make sure whoever I hired knew what they were doing since it's such an intricate job, Alfredo showed up to give me an estimate and was very professional and knowledgeable, we agreed on a price, two weeks later his crew showed up, they were super clean, put plastic on all my walls/furniture/flooring to protect it from dust, they got to work and did a fantastic job, I'll definitely keep their contact info for future projects

Terrible terrible company to work with! I was actually referred this company from someone who worked with them so I took a chance.
If you ever want to be more frustrated with a company then this is the one. I had a terrible experience with getting my floors done with them. Michelle is a great sales person but after she sells you what you want don't expect much after that.
I was never told that they subcontracted out and I even asked when deciding to go with their company if they had their own guys working for them and they were obviously dishonest. The subcontractor they hired, Manny, did not make me aware of the extent of what my concrete was like prior to laying the tile. I get a text Thursday morning saying he did this amount of work grinding the concrete and used this amount of red guard to seal it and I needed to write him a check for $515 dollars. Prior to him doing this I discussed with him via telephone I need pictures or I can come by to see what work needs to be done so I have an expectation of what needs to be done. I contacted Michelle about the situation and she texts me:
"Manny is for tax purposes a subcontractor but he works exclusively for us. That is why we let you pay them directly for any of this unforeseen floor preparation we do not make any money on this. Did he show you the cracks in the floor and explain what he is going to do? It happens occasionally and if I do not address these cracks your floor is going to fail. I promise you that he is not taking advantage of this situation. He does not want to lose his job over such a small amount. If you would like I will be happy to contact Scotty the owner and he will come out there to explain everything and also take a look at it."
I didn't hear one thing of course and he did the work then laid the tile over it. I was so angry about how Michelle belittled the amount of $515. It may not seem like a lot to her but that's a lot to me! I spoke to the owner about my concern about it and how this angered me. Scott proceeds to say that he went by my house and saw what was done and believes it was correct. We compromised on the price and I thought it would be end of my troubles. Of course not..
I checked on the work the next evening and saw that he changed the look of one of transition/deco tile in a doorway compared to three other doorways. I didn't understand why he would do this and not inform me so I called him. We discussed it and I said I would like to see my options before you decide to grout this down because it didn't make sense that one doorway looked different from the other three in the same hallway. He says to me he will show up the next morning between 6:30-7 and if I can come by we can discuss it more. At 6:40 I get a text from him saying he will be later in the morning and will let me know when he is heading over. Around 11, I am getting peeved waiting so I call him..no answer. At 11:30 I show up to my house and see the floor is grouted down including the doorway we discussed. On top of that he did such a bad job that there were so many hi-low spots and sharp corners that you could instantly feel when walking across. I marked every bad spot with blue tape that my floors looked it had blue polka dots everywhere. I called him and called him while I was there, I even called Michelle, and no one ever returned my call Sunday or Monday, and I didn't hear from Manny until Tuesday around 10:30am. I was unable to answer him or talk to anyone due to a medical treatment and had to have my mom help set things straight while I was in a clinic getting treatment. The frustration of having to hear from my mom while being elsewhere was stressful enough. Needless to say Manny was no longer involved with my floors after getting the general manager and many others involved. I had to get my floors redone in many places by another guy named Junior they brought to finish the job. He was better to work with but I still had to point out some things I was unhappy with. I had to push back deliveries with two company's for another two weeks and delay another floor company from refinishing the other tile I had in my house for another week and a half.
My time and money are precious to me and this company didn't understand that at all. I have never been more stressed out over what should've been a smoother process. I don't think I need to say it but I DO NOT RECOMMEND working with this company. Save yourself the hassle and money.

If you are looking for flooring, Rafal's your guy! Rafal and his team were excellent right from the start. I emailed Olympic Hardwood from their website looking for an estimate after receiving one from another company. Rafal responded immediately, worked around my schedule to come out to my home the next evening and took the time to discuss all the different options that were available while taking accurate measurements. We met him at his showroom the next day and you can tell Rafals passion for his work by his exceptional customer service! He really wants you to be happy with your investment. He provided several quotes based on different options and always with a smile and prompt! Once we made our selection, he was even able to squeeze our install in the same week! I'll be using Rafal again next year for our upstairs flooring project - hands down!

Found him on yelp and called him Saturday morning. He was able to come out within a couple hours to clean our recliners. Great guy, did a wonderful job on everything. Gave us a flat rate and stuck to it. He never tried to up sell anything! I definitely would recommend him to anyone that needs carpet/ furniture cleaned! Two recliners professionally cleaned for $75 dollars. Calling him back in a couple weeks to clean entire house for under $100!!! Thanks Rob!

You get what you pay for. Not the cheapest remodeler, but the job was done correctly and completed on time, making it worth every penny. The service is top notch, from the initial visit by Jonathan, to the quote by Allen, to the scheduling by Shelly, to the actual work done by Tony. I was kept in the loop the entire time, and Shelly called or emailed anytime they needed a clarification. Thank you all for the terrific work!

We began working with the Patterson Homes group in late March 2018 after our home had a fire in December. Their bid was the most practical with the least "out of pocket" expenses for us. In fact they came in on budget. More importantly they agreed to do a "down to the studs" rebuild of a 4 bedroom home with 2000 sq. ft. including an attached workshop on a 5 week timeline which they met. This timeline included time to get permits, order materials, schedule the inspector's, handling abatement and debris removal, and deal with the insurance company. Other bids were 5-6 months for the rebuild which would have put a great deal of stress on the family. We were making the mortgage payments all during this time so the shortened timeline was outstanding.
From the first day they arrived, they were professional, timely, fully staffed, knowledgeable about all the procedures, and code upgrades. The upgrades could have been extensive since the original home was built in the 1970s. Within the first two weeks, their designer met with us to choose colors of paint, flooring, counter tops, shelving and more. She came back in once the flooring was complete to make sure the choice of paint for the walls was appropriate and complimentary. To our surprise and appreciation, they made upgrades in materials that we didn't request. The owner, Ryan, told me "it was the right thing to do". Their attention to detail was a gift.
While on vacation, Ryan called me with an update of where they were in the project. My passenger was a real estate business woman. She told Ryan that in her 12 years of business she had never had a contractor call her to give information about her home remodel
As we walked through the house, we found things that needed to be changed. There was never an argument. Sometimes there was a discussion, and sometimes we paid for a change. This company provides a two year warranty on their work. As we move back into the house, we feel it is a brand new home.
We highly recommend this company for home rebuilds. You will not go wrong choosing this company to do your new home or a restoration.

**** UPDATE****
So when Conner came to my home to sell me flooring I was all for it. He did a great job and earned my trust.
WHAT A MISTAKE!
Not only was the job NOT completed on time, but I was called a liar when the manager told me I was avoiding his calls (he was calling a wrong number - that email was great!) And when I told him he was calling the wrong number he called me a liar again! As if I do not know my own cell phone number!
Thank God I recorded ALL phone conversations and have ALL Text messages saved as well.
He proceed to call me a liar again when he told me someone had called and spoken with my husband in regards to the issues on our flooring, when I informed him NO one had called or spoken to my husband **We were both off work that day and sitting on the couch together ALL MORNING** the manager told me I was a liar again and read off my husbands work phone number asking me "is this NOT your husbands work number?" I firmly told him yes it is, but he is OFF WORK and again did NOT speak to anyone that day.
This type of behavior has carried on now for over 2 months. I was told they would refund me $5000 due to the NUMEROUS errors on their part.
Not only did I NOT get said refund (again I have the recorded phone calls and text messages proving this) but instead they CHARGED me another $1000!!
My husband called and complained to another manager last week who PROMISED they would call me with a resolution no later than Monday 9/20/21,
I have YET to get a return phone call.
WORSE customer service. WORST company to deal with!
I was told if I wrote a good review at the time of the sales pitch I would get $1000 off my quote. What a scam! Plus I am pretty sure that is illegal as well. Review had to be submitted BEFORE the sales guy left my house!
I will be posting the call recordings and text messages on social media - maybe then that will get their attention to do the right thing.
Unfortunately I doubt it though.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
****************************************************
I HATE getting quotes from companies and tend to lose my patience very very quickly with the "sales pitch" mentality. Being in sales myself I chose who I do business with based off how genuine the individual is. I like to be direct, honest and not feel like I am being 'played' or just another sale.
That being said, I have gotten quotes from 3 different companies to redo my flooring in my home. Conner w/ Express Flooring was the 3rd person my husband and I spoke with. Within 5 minutes I knew we would not deal with another person.
Not only was Conner informative, he was clear, precises, detailed and amazing to speak with! He went over the pros and cons of each type of flooring we were looking at. Presented new ideas and suggestions that would of never crossed our minds.
He is an incredibly strong asset to Express Flooring, and what's even better is you can tell he really does love the work he does and the relationships he creates along the way!
Thank you for not being "that sales guy" and being a real true person! I will only send my real estate referrals to you Conner!
