Best Flooring Contractors in Arizona

We recently started shopping around for tile to replace the existing carpet and laminate on the 1st floor of our home in Gilbert. After a bad experience with a salesperson from Express Flooring, my wife and I walked into Flooring America in Chandler. The salesperson was nice and listened as we explained what we were looking for. He showed us a good variety of tiles that fit our needs. We picked out our three favorite options and set up an appointment for Dale, the owner, to come take some measurements and give an estimate for the job.

Dale was nice enough to come to the house at the end of the evening. I worked late and my son had cub scouts so Dale agreed to come over at 730 PM so that I could take care of what I needed to. He brought the 3 pieces of tile that we selected in the store and we were able to see how they would look. It made it easy to choose our favorite. He took his measurements and explained all options for the installation. We ended up choosing to have them installed diagonally which would cost more due to the fact that more tiles needed to be cut and there would be more materials wasted. The price we agreed upon was cheaper (diagonal install) than the price we were quoted from Express Flooring (horizontal install). Dale left and told me that he would contact me the next day with an estimate on a start date. The next day, he informed me that the installers would begin the job on Monday (4 business days). This was fine with me as I had a lot of stuff to move off the first floor.

As scheduled, the contractors showed up on Monday bright and early. They helped me move a few pieces of furniture that I could not move myself and then got started ripping out the old floor. The boss told me the job should be finished on Friday and then left his installer to complete the job. "The worker", as my six year old son referred to him, worked very hard and put in 12 hour days. He was very nice and didn't seem at all bothered by all the questions the boy was asking or the instructions the boy gave him like..."don't  break those tiles Mister" HAHAHA.  The installer really took his time to make sure all cut pieces of tile looked right. I'll just say it... They are "perfect" and his attention to detail was first rate.  

The only knock I have on the whole job,from beginning to end is that the install took a full six days instead of the estimated five. But, at this point, I don't care because the floor looks freakin fabulous.  Dale and his family run an excellent business and I will definitely be going back to them when I do my upstairs flooring and bathroom upgrades. Oh yeah... And they do kitchen countertops also. If your looking for some work done in your home... Look no further than Flooring America in Chandler.

Regina was awesome to work with! She was super patient, knew just what to recommend, gave her honest opinions, didn't try to sell us on pricier product, and answered about 100 of our questions without complaint. We were able to check out a couple of samples to take home and make sure we like the coloring, etc. We were absolutely thrilled with our experience at Floor Depot and look forward to working with them.

This is a fantastic company. Every member of their team, from the sales to the install, were responsive, professional, and accommodating. From selection to install, they completed a large kitchen project in under four weeks... Unheard of in today's climate.

Cesar and his dad make the dynamic duo. They were professional, always in constant communication and hard workers. They got it done so quickly and efficiently and stayed within our budget. Will definitely have then do our bathroom when we are ready. Highly recommend.

The owner, Jeff, was helpful right from the beginning of the selection process.  I found what I wanted and he walked me through everything.  even when my contractor over estimated and then bailed, Jeff helped me get the boxes back to him and gave me a refund.  I will definitely choose Floor Depot again for any flooring purchases in the future.

Hands down, Q is one of the best out there - he's honest, hardworking, knowledgeable and very trustworthy. I referred him to my family members as well. Easy to communicate with and no project is too big or too small from electric, plumbing to installing tvs, I would highly recommend him to everyone.

I recently used Arizona Carpet and Restoration to clean our carpets before the inlaws came to stay.  Everything about the experience was very professional and they did a great job.  The technician even took the time to put up "slippery when wet" signs, even though I was the only one in the house!  Thank you for a job well done!  I highly recommend this company and will continue to use them.  AND the price was surprisingly reasonable

Quick and efficient. We needed our entire 2nd floor carpet replaced under a tight deadline. Brian and team were efficient, professional, and great to work with. The carpet looks amazing and they finished in one day.

We loved what Builders Flooring & Design did for us in our kitchen! We bought some granite, and wanted it cut to fit our existing counter tops. We had a company come to cut the granite, but in the middle of the job we realized they made it so our sink was not centered with the cabinets or the window- it looked horrible. They also cut part of the granite off that was suppose to stay bull nosed. We told them what we wanted, I think they even wrote it down, and then they decided to do whatever they wanted. We let them go.

We had heard good things about Builders Flooring & Design so they were our next call. We got in touch with Nik at Builders Flooring & Design, and he came out that same day with another gentleman. They took measurements, listened to us, and then helped us figure out what our best option would be to save the remaining granite we had, and fix the un-centered sink.  I was so frustrated about the expense of the lost granite, and really appreciated Nik's calm demeanor and willingness to help us. They got to work right away, did everything we asked them to do, and the kitchen granite looks absolutely amazing. I highly recommend Builders Flooring & Design to anyone who wants the job done right and in a timely manner. Thank you so much!

We used Kitchen and Bath Remodeling for a bathroom remodel.  Mike P. and his crew were amazing.  We removed a small shower and separate tub and had Kitchen and Bath Remodeling create one large shower with a bench and three showerheads.  The process was seamless from demo, to plumbing, to tiling, and all the finishing touches.  They had a crew repaint the bathroom ceiling and touch up other areas that were needed.  The tile crew was very clean, polite, and courteous and did a great job.  They worked long hours just to get the job done quickly.  I'm so pleased with how the bathroom remodel turned out and would recommend Kitchen and Bath Remodeling without hesitation.  Thanks for turning my drab shower into a spa-like retreat!

I needed a new contractor to do some renovations on our new home so we turned to Yelp and and found shepherd contracting. We used Thomas and his team when my new home needed some updating. The communication was above and beyond. We love our new bathrooms and will post updated photos soon!

I hired them to remove a load bearing wall from my house, I wanted to make sure whoever I hired knew what they were doing since it's such an intricate job, Alfredo showed up to give me an estimate and was very professional and knowledgeable, we agreed on a price, two weeks later his crew showed up, they were super clean, put plastic on all my walls/furniture/flooring to protect it from dust, they got to work and did a fantastic job, I'll definitely keep their contact info for future projects

They gave me a really fast quote and their installer was supposed to come out to confirm the measurements.  After my prompting the installer scheduled to come out this past Saturday but he never showed up.  I texted him and no response.  Dont do business with this company, very poor service.

This is the 2nd time I have used AZ Flooring Direct and there will be a 3rd and 4th. They did my living room and kitchen and my floors are beautiful. They are going to be doing my shower and eventually replacing the carpets in my bedrooms. My brother also had them do his bathroom after he saw my living room floors. You can't get a better price for the great quality they have. I have worked with Jim and Scott. They are both great people and can help with colors and design. I did a ton of research before I went with them the first time.

Do yourself a favor and hire Olympic Hardwood Flooring for your next flooring project. Rafal, the owner has 1st class product knowledge and follow through. I found the company via the Internet when trying to find out who would sell and Install CoreTec Plus XL luxury vinyl planks. I am so happy that my search led me to Rafal. From the beginning to the end of the project, he was a pleasure to work with. I checked with other companies for quotes and his quote was the best offer. What I really liked about Rafal was his follow through. Every time he said he would do something, he did. I never had to worry or doubt my decision, did I make the right choice by going with this company. He is extremely trustworthy and ethical. I am so happy with my floors. I love my new floors. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. Trust me, you won't regret it.

I have been lucky enough to have Rob clean our carpets for years. There is no one better. Extremely professional, skilled & cleans our carpets, rugs and couch better than I could have dreamed. We had a flood in our laundry room today and it went through to our daughter's room and saturated the carpet. We are veteran customers. Rob finished his 5 pm job and amazingly came to our house at 11:00 pm to take care of our carpet emergency.  He got all the water out! Forever grateful. He is a wonderful family guy and our 5 year old daughter Sofia always wants to help him. He is so kind to her and shows her how everything works and answers her 101 questions with a smile. I have high expectations and it is so nice to find a business owner that exceeds your expectations.

I recently used Handyman Connection to do a kitchen and bathroom remodel.  I have nothing but good things to say about the quality of the work they performed and their overall customer service.  Here are just a few highlights with my experience:

(1) They were able to provide an immediate and competitive quote for the services performed, allowing me to understand what the 'all-in' cost would be, including labor costs materials (the final cost actually came in slightly under the estimate!).  In addition, they were able to recommend specialists that assisted with picking out materials (i.e. tile, granite counters, etc) that were needed for the project.
(2) The communication with Handyman Connection was exceptional.  I was informed exactly when each service contractor would be arriving and how long the overall process would take to complete.  
(3)  The quality of the finished remodel project exceeded all my expectations.

I highly recommend using Handyman Connection, as I certainly will on any future projects!

This review has been a long time coming, but I honestly  have been avoiding having to relive the experience by writing it out.

This review is specifically for Patterson Landscaping, part of Patterson Homes. We bought a 2018 home on 1.2 acres and we needed to get it landscaped. After getting quotes from several companies, we decided to go with Patterson, who were not the cheapest but gave the impression of pure professionalism. We signed a contract March 2021 for them to extend the pavers on our driveway, create another walkway to the street and a walkway all the way to the back patio, which would be doubled in size with paver overlays. We also wanted some low maintenance plants, a few boulders and rock and a pergola cover over the back patio extension. A huge $40k project that was nothing to scoff at.

They had originally said they would start in 6-8 weeks. They didn't start the project for 16 weeks! They blamed it on being unable to find the correct pavers to match what we already had. When they finally said they found them and they were delivered, they were the wrong pavers! They have been looking for the wrong thing the entire time. The good news was they were able to find the right ones within a week and got started.

They ended up not having estimated enough rock, ordered more, poured it in the wrong place on the right side of the house and were going to leave it looking halfway done over there. We eventually got them to agree to either scrape it or fill the rest of the area in to correct the mistake.

All in all, the front yard project went relatively well and everything looked good. Then we got to the back. As we already had a concrete slab patio that they were going to be extending, they decided to use veneer pavers to overlay on top of the concrete and then extend over the dirt. I wish I had researched this before, but why should I have to? Apparently veneers do not do well over dirt and should ONLY be used on concrete. We realized why afterwards. Our back patio, with the numerous timing delays (for the pavers and for the pergola cover) is very uneven with large dips of single pavers or whole areas. In the areas where water comes off the roof, it has started eroding the quarter minus underneath and now pools. Mortar at the edges of the patio is already cracking. And they have refused to acknowledge or do anything. When we had to have ROC come out to look at it, Guyton promised to amend it any way possible so we would be happy. And then we never heard from him again.

Overall, from signed contracts to completion, it took 9 months (they said it would take 6-8 weeks to start and 2 weeks to complete). They then had to come out 3 months later to fix some broken mortar on the patio. It has since broken again (3 months later). This company is a nightmare of miscommunication and lack of communication. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Corey H was extremely helpful to match the Berber carpet, we had just bought our home and one room was missing flooring.  Scheduled appointment for a Friday and they were able to install that following Monday! Looks great and so professional. Corey H followed up with a phone call to make sure we are satisfied.
