Best Flooring Contractors in Arizona

I don't like carpet. Especially when living in the hot desert. So when i purchased my home I started looking for a flooring company that offered quality options and convenience. Dale came to our home and provided flooring samples that varied in color, price, and texture. He is very experienced and offered many options including expanding our kitchen cabinetry. He surveyed our rooms with laser measurements and provided a competitive quote. Fast forward weeks later. We decided to place the order and he honored the original quote. The installation crew came on-time and installed our parlor floor within a few hours. What a gorgeous room that compliments the colors, space, and outdoor views. Excellent experience and highly recommended to my fellow readers.

Vine was terrific and did everything he could to give us a great experience and truly a fantastic job.  Any concern we had during the job was taken care of. Vine's entire focus was to see that our granite turned out beautiful. We just love the look of it and the service could not have been better. Russ was excellent. My toilet was leaking and needed to be replaced, and when Russ came he discovered that the plumbing fixture itself was also leaking and had to be replaced. He worked quickly to get it done, so it was a minimal hassle for me and the other people in the building (when we had to shut off water to the whole building). He gave a fair rate and did very high quality work. I highly, highly, recommend his services!

Cesar and his dad make the dynamic duo. They were professional, always in constant communication and hard workers. They got it done so quickly and efficiently and stayed within our budget. Will definitely have then do our bathroom when we are ready. Highly recommend.

I bought floors from another dealer.  After I received the floors, I needed a couple pieces of trim that matched.  The other dealer I bought from wasn't willing to support me with such a small purchase.  So, after doing a little research I found Jeff at Floor Depot North. He special ordered the trim for me and kept me in the loop as the pieces I wanted were back ordered.  Great service, especially with a small order.  Thanks Jeff!

I used ACR for a home owner insurance claim after my water water heater rusted out and took out my 4 year old (very expensive) Pergo floor. I used ACR as they came recommended by my insurance company USAA. If it were not for Jennifer, I would have rated this company one star lower as there were a decent amount of communication issues, but Jennifer gave it her all to make things right, and she did. I had my entire main floor plan re-tiled, which went right on time. But some days people would show up at my house unannounced ready to work. There was a major lack of communication and the problem wasn't really with ACR it was with the contractors they contracted work out to, because then those contractors would contract that work out to other companies, so it was hard to be in contact with who was doing the actual work. I think my main discrepancy was with the contractor they had to do my baseboards. I am a handy man and have worked in the trades, I understand how it works. This guy for one wanted to over charge me for base boards, which initially I stomached. But, when he contracted out the work he never gave me a time or day when it was going to happen, (which had become a trend with this guy.) So, when some random day some random guy shows up ready to work I had to turn him away, as I was busy that day. When I called the contractor back he wanted to schedule me out another two and a half weeks! I am already paying the up charge and now I am being put on hold, for work I could easily do myself. So, I decided to tell him forget it I'll do it myself. When I tried to get a hold of him he was no where to be found. Finally ACR got a hold of him for me. I told I would do the work myself, when I said I wanted a refund he said I would have to talk to ACR about that. ACR was very accommodating and apologetic. Jennifer, the MVP of ACR, even helped me out after ACR had confused my bill and quote with another client which was much high then we originally talked about, but she helped me out and honored our original price. Basically to make a long story short, I think ACR as a company is good, I just think they need to spend a little more time screening the contractors they work with. Like I said the work that was done was timely and done well.

After my review the owner of the business, Brian, reached out. It seems there was some confusion as who was going to contact who. I was impressed in talking with Brian and learning more about him. My take away is that he is honest, empathic, and a hard working business owner. Since I had no work done I cannot speak to their craftmanship.
I will give 5 stars for the integrity and communication on the part of the owner.

I had Builders Flooring @ Design install the tile on my new home, we had tile in 90% of the home, including our master bathroom which was a custom design with natural stone floor in the shower, full shower surround, with a large pony wall, kitchen backsplash and all the rest of the floors in the other bathrooms and main living, dining and kitchen area in our home.
We multiple tile types, especially in the master shower and bath, and a herribone design for our backsplash in the kitchen with a special mix of 40% blue, 40% grey, and 20% while for the backsplash.  
The preparation work that was done in the master shower was amazing, including the other application in the home, the main living area we used a 20"x20" high gloss if it called that tile on a diamond patter, the prep work before they installed any of the tile was right on target.  I have been in the trades for my entire life and I know what I'm looking at, and I will tell you, these guys hit the prep work on the heat!  Remember, the finish work only looks as good as the prep work.
Now as far as the finish work goes, all I can say is "Amazing", the attention to detail was awesome, the cuts for the master bathroom on the outside corner of the pony wall had to be 45% outside corners and they were perfect, the floor in the master bath was natural river rock and the layout and grout around the floor drain were perfect, looks just like it should.
The backsplash in the kitchen is another "WOW" anyone that comes to our home, is amazed at how it looks, the cuts, the edge work and the grout work are absolutely breathtaking, no exaggeration.  It just looks that good.  The main floor and tile work are amazing also when you walk into our home, it looks very classy and very elegant, and the fine details of cuts around the doors, and inside and outside corners are perfect.  Again the grout work is everything on a large tile job and they nailed it.
Our experience did not just happen at the jobsite, the attention to customer needs and planning and design center help at their offices was beyond anything we experienced with any of the other trades.  Nick and Katheryn were very knowledgeable and helpful.
I am a very picky tradesperson, and I seriously have not one thing bad to say about the whole experience with Builders Flooring & Design.  
I recommend this company to anyone and have nothing but great things to say about their product!

After my post Tyson reached out. My quote was sent to the wrong email address. He also explained there was some turnover in the office which most likely resulted in the lack of follow up. Since no work was done for me I cannot speak to the quality of their work thus 4 stars. These ratings really do have an effect on businesses.

I needed a new contractor to do some renovations on our new home so we turned to Yelp and and found shepherd contracting. We used Thomas and his team when my new home needed some updating. The communication was above and beyond. We love our new bathrooms and will post updated photos soon!

I hired them to remove a load bearing wall from my house, I wanted to make sure whoever I hired knew what they were doing since it's such an intricate job, Alfredo showed up to give me an estimate and was very professional and knowledgeable, we agreed on a price, two weeks later his crew showed up, they were super clean, put plastic on all my walls/furniture/flooring to protect it from dust, they got to work and did a fantastic job, I'll definitely keep their contact info for future projects

Now we bought a piece a of granite from another company and hired Apache Tile Outlet to pick it up and fabercate it for us and install it as well.   Well first i had to locate the granite and arrange for its delivery.  Then after it was installed i was accused of not paying them and a check bounced and they never recieved payment.  After arguing with Shane the manager come to find out the installer was paid in full and was playing games.  Then my extra granite is now missing and never returned  and the broke the piece that was installed.  I am now been fighting with them since November of 2022 and still not fixed or my granite brought to me.   I am filing compliants with the ROC as well as with in the court system to get my money back for the granite and what it has cost me to get it done right.  DO NOT USE THEM IT WILL BE A HEADACHE.  Also will regret it as well.

Arizona Flooring Direct beat out Lumber Liquidators on price and service.  We are 100% satisfied! They provided a superior product to that of other flooring companies. We appreciate Scott and his team and highly recommend them to anyone looking for new flooring.

If you are looking for flooring, Rafal's your guy! Rafal and his team were excellent right from the start. I emailed Olympic Hardwood from their website looking for an estimate after receiving one from another company. Rafal responded immediately, worked around my schedule to come out to my home the next evening and took the time to discuss all the different options that were available while taking accurate measurements. We met him at his showroom the next day and you can tell Rafals passion for his work by his exceptional customer service! He really wants you to be happy with your investment. He provided several quotes based on different options and always with a smile and prompt! Once we made our selection, he was even able to squeeze our install in the same week!  I'll be using Rafal again next year for our upstairs flooring project - hands down!

Great experience with Rob and Alex! Sent a Yelp request and quickly received an answer. Confirmed all the details like cost and info via Yelp and was able to book an appointment for two days later. Alex came out to our home, giving a call to let us know he was on his way and arriving on the scheduled time. Alex came in and offered Scotch Guard as an extra, he worked while I confirmed with my husband if we wanted it. After he finished the cleaning, he checked in and we went with the scotch guard. The carpets look like new! Very kind and quick.

Had them come out to my home, sat at my table, discussed the project, took measurements etc.  Said they'd have a quote in 3 days.  Coming onto almost two weeks and no responses to my follow ups.  I imagine how it would be if they had my money.  If you are the type of person who loves having their time wasted, these guys are for you.

Had them install carpet less than 3 years ago. Supposed to have 25 year wear and lifetime installation warranties.  We had them restretch puckers/wrinkles at 1 year-tech noted premature wear. Now less than 3 years years, needs stretched again and they want to charge us?  I also wanted to show them the wear but they won't come over. Not happy with their service
