We had a leak under the kitchen sink. We fixed it and thought we were all good. Unfortunately, the water must have been leaking for a longer time than we realized. The maple floors around the sink started to warp really badly. I found Anthony and Make Ready on Yelp. He was very responsive. He sent a guy to look at it, gave me a quote, sent my building manager a Certificate of Insurance and had a team of experienced floor guys show up as scheduled. They removed the warped floor, replaced some boards and sanded the whole place so that the new wood blends in perfectly. When the floor guys took all the furniture out of the living room and packed it neatly and carefully in other rooms, I realized that the walls and sills were a mess. They hadn't been painted in 20 years. I asked Anthony if he had painters who could come in right after the flooring. He did and we added to the job. In two long days, they painted a large, irregularly shape room with 11 foot ceilings.

Nermin was amazing and very skillful, courteous and professional. He bailed us out with some last minute work that we found out we needed done after our ancient dishwasher was removed prior to receiving the new one. He originally planned to come yesterday but the bomb cyclone had different plans for us. He came early this morning (CHRISTMAS EVE!) and worked his magic in short order and left our mother with one less thing to worry about.

Levi Electric installed an EV charger for my electric car.  They were prompt in providing a quote, prompt in scheduling the work, and did a good job with the install.  The electrician was very experienced.  He explained everything to me clearly and answered all my questions respectfully.  I was very happy with the job from start to finish.

I found Legacy Electrical Contractors on Yelp and decided to give them a try based on their positive reviews - which are well-deserved.

We noticed that an old light fixture in the basement pantry was loose and looked unsafe. The outlet component needed to be replaced as well.

I called Legacy and George gave me a general quote once I described the situation and sent a few pictures.  We agreed on a date and he arrived on time. George was transparent about the price and gave me options based on my preference. It's sometimes difficult to get quality work done at a reasonable price - especially when you go with a licensed contractor (you definitely don't want to take any chances when it comes to electrical work).

The whole process was smooth from start to finish. I highly recommend George and Legacy Electrical Contractors.

This is your go-to place for lamp repairs!  When my old lamp repair shop closed, I found myself in need of a repair and searched Yelp for a new place on the UES that wouldn't hold my lamp hostage and then take my trust and too much of my money. Clarity Lighting was the answer. The owner Toby, fixed my bedside lamp within a half-hour, charged me a reasonable price and even gave me a six-month warranty!  Now that's service and integrity. I just purchased a new (old) home (248 years old, to be exact) that came with some pretty serious electrical issues. After reading all of the positive reviews for Spirelli Electric online, I decided to fill out their online form and received a phone call from Emily shortly after. Based on how wonderful, friendly and knowledgable Emily was, I knew I would have a great experience with Spirelli Electric. Jeff and Gabe showed up today a couple of hours early and began tackling my laundry list of issues. My first request was to install a new outlet in the top of a lofted barn/garage space for a garage door light, and they did so quickly and neatly. Other electricians I spoke with wanted to run a visible cable line up the wall of the barn from an outlet (which would've been awful). Jeff and Gabe were able to run a line directly from the subpanel to the light from inside the wood walls on a dedicated breaker -- you can't even tell they did anything! Next they came into the house to look at issues including improperly wired outlets, outlets missing a ground, etc. They were able to provide excellent guidance on what needed to be done and were able to fix some of the problem outlets. They even helped me grab a bug off the ceiling. Haha. Needless to say I am very happy with the work they've done; they're seriously two of the nicest guys I've ever met. I'm very impressed with Spirelli Electric and look forward to seeing them in a couple of weeks when they work on resolving some more of the issues. Thanks Jeff and Gabe!!!

Super quick and great service.  Vincent responded within a few minutes of getting the Yelp request, came early the next day for an estimate, which was very fair. Work was done the next business day - the work team was very professional and left the house in great shape when done.  Highly recommend.

This is the second time I've worked with Malfettone electric, both times for outlet installs (plus running cat5 cable the first time). They're great. Super responsive, prompt, easy to work with, extremely professional, nice, and most importantly, the jobs were perfectly executed, and quickly. They explained any options clearly and identified what the best practices are. I also really appreciated that they were willing to do smaller jobs - a lot of electricians and contractors aren't. So happy to have found them!

I called DZ Electrical to replace a broken light fixture in my parents home. I was visiting from out of town and needed someone to come out and do the job ASAP. Darren quickly returned my call and came out within a few days. Other electricians I contacted on yelp.com never bothered calling me back. Darren charged a reasonable $135 for the job. He was prompt, courteous, and trustworthy. I would call him again.

Working with Mr. Wonderful's Electric was a fantastic experience! From beginning to end, Paul (the owner) was reliable, honest, and upfront. He arrived on time and after a quick diagnostic, explained the problem to me and provided a very reasonable quote. Mr. Wonderful's Electric did great work and was incredibly easy to work with. I will definitely use them again for any future electrical needs.

If you need electrical work done in Hoboken, look no further than this post. Mike was not only the most reasonable in terms of price, but his workmanship was off the charts. Couldnt be happier with his work.

I am further updating the comment as we all are going through tough time and I don't want them to suffer because the job they did not good for me.

This company did not even accept that job was not done well and they will try to do better job for providing more training to their staff. Anyways please tell your staff how they gonna do the job and how many holes they are going to do for putting simple recessed lighting.

Stay away from this agency. Complete fraud. The women who respond on yelp has no idea of pricing. When her electrician showed up he asked for 50% more money and he completely tear down the ceilings and left lots of mark on the wall. Because of them now I have to spend $1500 more to have everything fixed.

They hire folks with no proper training and license. Stay away from this agency. I wish I can give zero stars.

A complete disaster as now we have to delay our move to new house.

Added more - to install 2 lights they made 7 holes in the ceilings and 1 hole is almost 7 feet long. When I spoke to the electrician and he declined to entertain saying that electrician does not work with this company anymore.

Please hire folks who is eligible to do the job. When I showed the work to my painter and he said he never seen that poor job ever.

Alex and his workers were responsive, communicative and flexible! Whenever we had a question, alex was always so patient with us and answered with such humility. We asked Alex to replace our electrical panel and outlets as well as install recessed lighting for our entire condo. This whole project took barely over 2 days as Alex was efficient and walked us through the entire process. We would definitely use Alex again if we ever have any future electrical needs!

He replaced the water tank with a Chinese version of a piece, which ruined the tank. The breakers also weren't actually checked. I had to replace my water tank with.a new one and it my hot water still doesn't work. I blew so much money on a new tank and installation, only to find out it was a breaker problem, that wasn't initially checked and mended. No explanation after this experience. Horrible.
