Once again, this company has come through in every possible way. We had a small noise coming from the electrical box that my son heard in the basement and I called DZ and THAT DAY the owner stopped by, checked out the issue, provided details, had his guys come first thing the following day, and before the clock struck nine the work was finished and fixed!

To be clear, it wasn't as if it was just a matter of the work and the speed -- it was the smoothness and courtesy as far as how they handled themselves and how attentive they were throughout the whole experience. Kind, polite, and easy to talk to... believe you me, they are my go to electrical technicians!

I highly recommend them!

Long review. In brief, wrong services were provided. Incorrect diagnosis made. Electrical fire occurred and no one was sent to check on the house or work they did. Full review below

Was having issues with power surges and our electrical heating. Called DZ. They were initially quick to respond and did come in a timely manner. They came and gave their diagnosis and for the next week everything seemed okay.

Then the issues began to start again. No heat and surging power. We were told it's not an electrical issue but they were willing to send someone again. We were told a fuse blew from the plumbing issue and we're charged $450. This trip we went to the store and bought the fuse ourself, and the company physically put it in. No other work was done. Again we're told plumbing problem and we had contacted a plumber who would come in two days.

Two days later we returned to a basement filled with smoke and an electrical fire. Fire department was called and DZ notified. We were once again told by DZ this is not an electrical issue. No one was sent to check and make sure that was the case. No one checked later in the day to make sure everything was okay. Fire department was confident it was an electrical issue and so we contacted a new company as DZ was adamant it was not an electrical issue and would not send someone until a plumber came to evaluate and confirmed it wasn't a plumbing issue. Again, after an electrical fire just occurred on the parts they were previously working on

We called a new electrician. Diagnosed the problem and agreed the initial issue was missed. The plumber came and replaced parts that DZ charged us for since they fried in the surg that was caused by the initial electrical issue. Plumber agreed it was all an electrical issue.

Multiple visits later our problem is resolved but DZ still refuses to accept the issue as an electrical issue. While initially responsive, they are now harder to contact and defensive. Would highly recommend a second opinion before using this company. There were multiple charges with no solution. There was no one to check the work after a house emergency that could have turned into a disaster.

Darren and his team are great. Very timely service, efficient, thorough, accommodating, great communication.   It's nice having a dedicated, local contact for projects of all scale.

Darren was excellent, got right back to me with an awesome quote, great price, and the job came out great, highly recommended!!!!

Just used them again for some various electrical work around the house, and once again it came out great and great price!

This is the second time I've used DZ. They show up on time, are skilled and professional and their pricing is fair. A wonderful company to do business with. You can't go wrong.

I googled for an electrician in Hampton Bays and DZ Electrical seemed to have the best reviews.  I found the reviews to be correct.  I highly recommend Darren and his colleagues.

I want to thank Darren for his quick response in providing me an estimate and great price for my job.  His crew Rob and one other gentleman showed up on time and did  a great job of placing a mast and upgrading my electrical box. They all were very courteous, pleasant and very efficient. I found this company on line, and because of all his great reviews I called for a estimate. (Normally would only go by personal recommendations) I was not disappointed and I highly recommend this company for your electrical needs!!! Would use him again!!

After requesting DZ Electrical to contact me for a Flood Light install, Darren quickly contacted me and we set up an appointment for the on site inspection and estimate. The Flood light required new wiring for the area I wanted the install along with outlets.  His estimate was very reasonable and include a Veteran's Discount. They arrived as promised, introducing themselves and review with me the work to be done.  The job was completed quickly, very neatly done. Very Happy with Results!

Started a project on my own and ran into a roadblock. I decided I would hire someone to finish the job. Before accepting Darren asked for a picture of the project. He walked me through how to finish the project instead of coming out for the job saving me a couple of hundred dollars. Will certainly use DZ for my next project. Thank you!

I bought a generator and called DZ to install the required transfer box. Darren arrived the same day and told me that my box was already overloaded with breakers and I would be better served to upgrade this system . It sounded good to me because this box had been giving me problems with faulty breakers and looked worn. As promised he started the job in a few days and I couldn't be happier. The electrician who came was fastidious about his work, carefully labeling every circuit. The new box was perfect and large enough to handle any extra breakers I may need in the future. The transfer box was also installed as an outlet for the generator. Since the generator has a 220v 50A outlet he made a 25' cord for the job which looks and feels quite solid and has a special outdoor adapter. I have to say this was an outstanding experience and I am quite happy with the job and the price for the work. I highly recommend DZ.

We needed an electrician for another project, and DZ Electrical was again fantastic. Friendly workers, finished the job quickly, and went out of their way to make sure the finished project looked good. Recommended very highly!

Had a good experience. They came early, did great work. I had a shower light/fan changed. Also had some outlets swapped out. They cleaned up any dust and debris made, which is actually refreshing. Very satisfied with the work done. Darren, the owner followed through with everything he said. Would recommend.

Had a generator transfer switch installed by DV Electrical.  I had great communication with Darren when assessing the project, received a competitive estimate and sent someone on short notice. Darren sent a team member, Orlando, who was knowledgeable, polite and worked clean. Overall, it was a great experience and I will call them again when I have need for an electrician.

Thank you so much for such a professional and painless experience.  I reached out to Darren on Yelp and he responded in less than an hour asking if he could come the next day (Saturday) to see what I needed to be done.  He showed up on time and gave me a very reasonable quote.  I wasn't ready to have the work done right away but he called on Tuesday to see if I was ready and he had his guys out the next day, again on time.  The work was done quickly and professionally, which is all I can ask for when dealing with someone.  I highly recommend this business for anyone seeking electrical work.

I had power lines down on my driveway this morning.  I called this company.  Some of their guys happened to be in the neighborhood.  They were to my house in 15 minutes!    They put the lines back up and then did a couple of other quick jobs while they were here (replaced a fixture and a switch).  I am so grateful for the work they did and how quick they did it!!

I was in a bind as I had 2 other less reputable electro companies bail on quotes or become non responsive. I came to Yelp, typed in electricians, and DZ came up the highest ranked. I emailed their website contact page on a Saturday and 10am and had a call from Darren by 11am and a site visit/quote scheduled within 3 hours. They came and provided a quote within 24 hours of the site survey. Then came and completed the work within 10 days.

So often when I use companies for home repair, the technicians are also the ones running the business and so you get pretty mediocre customer service as they can't return any calls or schedule their day efficiently. DZ is where they really separate through great communication and fast service. It was a great experience working with them.

Darren and his crew are fantastic! They recently ran electric to my fireplace for a gas insert installation. Job done well ...done neatly...and in this day of Covid-19, wearing all the proper PPE. Professional, courteous, prompt...and do it all at a fair price.

Found DZ off HomeAdvisor.com. The rates are fair and the work was neat and exactly as requested. The crew was professional, friendly and trustworthy guys. I had them wire 2 new thermostats, two sets of exterior speakers cleanly into a receiver in my home, run cat 5 & hdmi all through my main level and neatly snake everything through the walls so you can't see any of it. I would recommend them again.

Never showed up to an estimate. Says a lot about a company when they don't keep their word. There was no attempt made to re schedule or any follow up call from this business. No call no show!

They were great! Quoted a reasonable price (but were realistic given I wasn't sure what the problem was) and it came out to less than I thought it would in the end. They came out within a couple of days (I wasn't in a rush and am way out east) and took care of the job quickly. Communication was great and they were super flexible and nice about doing the job when I wasn't home and finding the right parts I had ordered in a mountain of Amazon boxes. Will definitely use again!

Darren responded on Yelp the same day and was able to discuss my repair over the phone, estimate seemed fair for a broken ground line. When Frankie was done he went over repair inside and outside. Solid work.

I had a great experience with DZ Electrical. From beginning to end, their estimate was reasonable, the guys that did the work (sorry I can't remember their names) left everything spotless. I had a hot tub connected and you don't see a wire anywhere. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

Reasonably priced prompt professional service. I highly recommend Darren and his guys. Came same day and wired in all new smart switches in my home. They even cleaned up after all the work was done. Everything works and looks flawless, extremely happy!!!

I needed a whole array of work:

Paul and Rob were great who showed up.  All care was done to contain debris.

1- I had 4 new high hats added to my living room and they replaced the covers and lights of an older set of 4 as well. They repaired the switch in that room too.

2- I had 2 new high hats added to my laundry room and had old track lighting taken down.

3- They switched out some old outside lights as well as an outside outlet exchanged.

4- They repaired some other outlets and were willing to do more.

Darren (the owner) came the week before and everything that was discussed was completed. (He would have stopped by but it was discussed-prior-- he had a prior commitment that day)...

Rob and Paul did a very nice job---went above and beyond with their work---and took the time to clean up everything....

Darren thank u so much for helping my parents out so quickly. Paul from DZ spent about an 1hr troubleshooting the electrical problem at my mothers house and repaired it immediately. From start to finish I received excellent treatment and very fair pricing. This is definitely a number that I will be calling again, hopefully not to soon though!

I highly recommend DZ Electrical.  They were terrific!  Had lights installed throughout our home, and they were professional, and thorough.  My initial call was promptly returned.  Fair pricing.  All great guys!  After the initial project, we called them back for other projects, and they worked us into their schedule within a week's time if possible.  If they had to take care of other more pressing emergency calls (e.g. local power outage), they always informed us and kept us posted about how soon they could get to us.  These are the best workers I've ever had in our house.  Thanks Darren!

DZ Electrical Contracting did such a great job on 3 projects we needed done.  They gave us the best price too.  I would definitely hire them back for any future electrical jobs.  They kept the areas clean that they worked in and were very professional.  We got very good advice and we are so happy we hired them!

I called DZ Electrical to replace a broken light fixture in my parents home. I was visiting from out of town and needed someone to come out and do the job ASAP. Darren quickly returned my call and came out within a few days. Other electricians I contacted on yelp.com never bothered calling me back. Darren charged a reasonable $135 for the job. He was prompt, courteous, and trustworthy. I would call him again.

I just received an unsolicited request from this company for a review on yelp. Here is my review.... I would not do business with a company that is responsible for sending me what amounts to SPAM.
